However, her strong sense of chivalry soon places her at odds with the school's student council and thrusts her into a series of mysterious and dangerous duels against its members.

This Classic Never Dies, Just Gets Better With Each Viewing!!

I sooooo loved this series from the moment it was going to be released in the states many years ago on DVD. I fell in love with entire cast, plot, and storyline as well as the themes mentioned throughout its run. I was intrigued by the complexity of the relationship of Anthy and Utena, as well as the struggle with reconnecting with her long-lost prince.

I made a bad review of this show... but I also said this show does not linger on bad story lines. as much as I hated how I knew the story would turn out, I got over it after watching more episodes. this one is like riding a rollercoaster. the down time is not prevalent to the good times.
A Great Looking Remaster for a Classic Series

This is the first arc of the series (Revolutionary Girl Utena), and introduces the majority of the cast and general plot. The symbolism and character building is really dang good, although you'll want to prepare for some repetitive fight sequences; this was likely due to low budget concerns.
The bluray quality is great, and the animation looks very clean.
