DESOTO COUNTY, Fla. — A man traveling back to Ohio was arrested after DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office officials busted him with fentanyl and marijuana.
On New Year’s Eve, officials conducted a traffic stop after a DCSO K9 handler and K9 Lucy caught a car going the wrong way on a one-way street. The driver, later identified as Keonte Cunningham, was placed under an arrest for driving without a valid license.
DeSoto County officials then searched the vehicle and found 7.28 grams of fentanyl and 10.21 grams of marijuana in the backseat.
Cunningham was arrested and brought to the DeSoto County Jail being he did not have prescriptions for either drug or a medical marijuana card, according to DCSO.
