1) If there is no definite answer, provided by the author, it's not a mysteriy (is you reread my post about "it's magic, ain't gonna explain shit", you'll see it was a reply to a post classifying Umineko as a mystery).
2) If you are familiar with hermeneutics (and I think R07 is to some degree), you'll notice he endorses it's open-to-interpretation framework. That is cool, but the delivery is lame (that Aurora or whatever her name is rambling about it does, in fact, influence the reader's interpretation).
3) On a personal note, I dislike it because he prolonged needlessly the story like a zombie up to 8 chapters. Also, I did't feel any of the emphaty I felt towards other characters in Higurashi.
