I love this idea!

These are well illustrated ornate lettering drop caps.

Ahem... puts art director hat on.

  • B – The axe blade of the halberd isn't enough of the upper bowl to complete the shape.
  • E, F – Upper arm is too short, F crossbar needs to be more substantial.
  • G – Crossbar should go further inside.
  • I – Knife shouldn't cross over the I, looks like a weird K now.
  • M – Where is the weapon?
  • O – Should actually closed to complete that shape.
  • P – Stem should be longer.
  • Q – Left side should be curved.
  • V, W, X, Y, Z – Too distorted, these letters are mildly recognizable.

Overall, a good job though. Just a few more tweaks needed.

Thanks a lot! I will definitely work in these areas. In M the weapon is Macuahuitl. Which is making the stroke of the letter.

I see it now, especially that you've told me what it is.

Without knowing about that "Wooden Aztec Sword", on the left side of your "M",
it looks like just more ornaments that matched your letter.

It needs to be somehow more distinct
so that we can notice that weapon as part of your letter figure.

Again, though, I applaud you for these elaborate illustrations.
