Both are good because with the first one, you can line them up on a wall and have it look like a character select screen. The second one is more for a photo but both are great.

I like the first pic, because it draws attention to this spider's stunning eyes. I get a sense of deep intelligence in those eyes, which highlights a cool feature of this species. I am biased, because I already know they are smart spiders, but I think it works.
