Let's say it doesn't work, and Sauron's malignancy lives on in the new Ring. Just use THAT Ring to make a new Ring! Its rings all the way down.

I used to get annoyed when he'd (or his mom) claim he was a "great engineer." While he took the courses (and did very well in them), he never practiced the profession or be certified as a P.Eng so not really an engineer... But this makes me think, yeah that's a P.Eng sol'n 😉
