you should already have a strong prior on "women are the primary consumers of romance literature and smut." this remains true for male-on-male romance! to the extent that men substitute AI-generated content for intimacy, they're more likely to go to diffusion models than LLMs

Also I just realize that the 'mafia mommy' i categorized as "AI girlfriend" is actually "nanny simulator" which is extremely gendered in its appeal ("you have suddenly been tasked with caring for a child from a high status family" a popular genre of web novel for women.)

What is this thing? And do we know that this site (whatever it is) is the sole site for AI "companions"? Could it be that men are all going to a different site with different specializations (eg more emphasis on choosing appearance)?
