Casey allegedly attends meetings in Madrid and Paris with representatives of Ayatollah Khomeini. In these proceedings, Casey supposedly asks the Iranians to keep the American hostages in Iran until after the 1980 election in exchange for weapons, thus ruining Jimmy Carter's reelection bid. The evidence of this claim is sketchy at best. Casey claimed that he was at Bohemian Grove at the time of the supposed meetings. |
