Title: Newbie looking for advice
Post by: Gladosthethird on September 20, 2011, 06:33 pm
Hello, I am new to S.R. and everything tor.  Although I have yet to make any transactions I am planning on both buying and selling in the future. What I am looking for is a "getting-started" guide with some friendly rule of thumb advice. I'd greatly appreciate any help.

If you can't piece it together without a handholding guide, this probably isn't the service for you. Part of what makes it potentially functional is that it's not simple.

I could, I'm just looking for away to get started quickly. It is rather time consuming to piece together information from forums and other sources into applicable data. As Dorito said, I'm a lazy shit; but I suppose self-education is the only way to get ahead these businesses.

I appreciate the response despite the tone.

In all seriousness on the home page at the bottom there is a "how does it work" tab. Click it and read everything.
These guys are right. you'll learn more and faster if you do the legwork. Of which there is a decent amount.
You're going to have to download a few different programs and familiarize yourself with them. All in the interest of keeping you and everyone else safe.  One more thing. Don't forget the search function.
Good Luck

don't take shortcuts and be very suspicious.  encrypt everything.  watch out for anyone asking you to release your coins early.  sometimes its ok, sometimes you get raped.  that's all i got i am pretty new myself.  i got burned on one of my first transactions doing noob crap.  good luck.
