Title: NSA, Do they spy on the govt?
Post by: thebakertrio on July 21, 2013, 01:30 am
Thinking it all over with the phone and web surveillance do you think the NSA is also spying on members of congress or other parts of the govt at large?

I wonder if bama's daughters phones are tapped or are they immune?

I bet they do. If there's one thing LE loves, its bringing down a crooked politician.

There was some congressman like 5 years ago that got caught with a bunch of cash in his freezer. (anyone remember his name?) And there was an informant that wore a wire and recorded conversations. That was more FBI than NSA, but I'd be willing to bet the NSA snoops on politicains.

You're probably right about that.  Thing is, they really shouldn't be wasting any time here as there are plenty of crooked politicians - and they can hurt a lot of people in a lot of ways.  Here, we don't hurt anyone...

Except Snowden was anything but a superspy to begin with.

guess that would depend on the definition of a "superspy"...   since it's a word that I just wrote on the fly (if it even is a word at all...) :P

But I suppose he was more of an infiltrater...  for the greater good imo..  :)

Haha I knew that you didn't mean it that way foxen ;) However he wasn't an infiltrator either because he didn't take the job with the purpose of maliciously collecting data and abusing his power.
He was merely a system administrator who saw that the processes at his project weren't handled as they should've been which made him come out and tell other people about it.

The whole PRISM and whistle blowing is nothing new if you try and look it up on google from the year 2002-2010 you'll find several ex employees just as Snowden who have been telling the exact same information. The only thing that has changed is the "mediahype".

In an interview Snowden said he took the job specifically to get access to classified information.

Really? I am not up to date anymore, I think I stopped following the news when he was first found in Moscow, that sounds pretty interesting Bruce! Thank you for the update. Did he also say what he wanted to do with this classified information? Was it his plan all along to blow the whistle on the whole operation or even trying to sell the information to a third party?

I think they would do it to anyone. Think about it. Some nosey employee working there could just get bored and decide they want to see what's been hapening in the life of Paris Hilton and have a look through the confidential info for Paris Hilton. They could do it to politicians... Anyone. IMO it is a massive security risk  that people can have such easy access to anybody's personal data and communications. If this is just surfacing, think of how many things are still hidden from us.

No, the NSA are too busy masturbating to James Bond fanfiction to bother earning their paycheck.

So the general opinion is that they do, now riddle me this! How come congress or bama against the spying? Seems fishy that these people would be ok even thought we all know they have more to hide then us!

I recently heard they're spying on Brazil too...   haven't heard of a bunch of "evil terrorists" from there...   guess they get tired of James Bond fanfiction so the perverts there listen in on Brazilian women talking on the phone...

because they know we don't have all the expensive equipment and the most cutting edge technology like they do...  they know that we figure what we figure, but don't have the resources to actually catch them....  Snowden already has them in a tailspin they'll never admit to.....

Everyone who bothered to google it knows all about PRISM, which is a part of ECHLEON.

Sick bastards.

I think you missed the point. What I mean is if the members of govt are being spied on and many have embarrassing skeletons then why are they not against it? Im not saying us catching them but the NSA catching them in the act, well ok we can they say they wont say nothing and blackmail? wait just a minute, is that how most of these fucked up laws pass? FUCK!

Once you taste of Brazil
Their women you drill
Their bodies you fill
Their insides you thrill

A true democratic Government would have no secrets.
All Government policies, deals and all expenditures should be transparent for everyone to see.

But that would never happen. All the corrupt politicians, secret deals and secret policies and spying would be revealed and the Government would crumble.
