Title: Doing Dissociatives while on Anti-Psychotics. Is it harmful?
Post by: Garrincha on July 29, 2013, 01:20 am
Several years ago, I read online that using dissociatives  while on anti-psychotics causes permanent brain damage. I've taken Olanzapine for many years so have avoided trying drugs like nitrous oxide, DMT, ketamine etc. Only drug i've done that could be put into that class would be salvia, which is fucked up, but seems pretty benign on most counts. So is it true and am I doing the right thing in avoiding this class of drug?

depends. your medication works on the seretonin system though. And dissasociatives work on the NMDA receptor. However, you might want to ask yourself if taking mind-altering chemicals is a good idea if your on ANTI-PSYCHOTICS.

Very good point, I wish I could stick to a rule like that. I very rarely do psychedelic drugs, just too intense.
