Just last wednesday I shipped out a package from a local USPS office via priority mail with DCN. It was supposed to arrive on Saturday, and everything was set. I did, however, misplace the receipt for several days, and in that time was in discussion with the buyer. Before I found the receipt, the buyer and I were engaged in a dialogue in which they claimed, after my stating that it was scheduled to arrive on Saturday, that it had not arrived. They informed me both on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, that no package arrived. This was in fact, however, after my stupidly saying that I had lost the tracking number. When I found it today, I instantly looked it up, and saw that the package did arrive as was scheduled, on Saturday that is. The buyer claimed that it had not on several occasions, and I believed him, although now I can clearly see that he was lying. So my question is how should I approach this? I sent a message to the buyer in search of an answer, but have yet to receive a reply. This is my first real issue on SilkRoad so far, and for that I'm grateful, I'm just really not sure what to do. Thanks in advance

if the dude doesnt drop it you can either go to resolution and he probably wont get anything but you will very possibly get a bad feedback or you refund in hopes of good feedback. depends how much your rating maters to you, hopefully dude will drop it. otherwise welcome to the sellers hard choice, rating or refund.

Damn, really? I figured that at worst if it were resolved, than maybe their feedback wouldn't be taken into account? It's sad really that I have to chose between taking a hit to feedback, and taking a hit to my wallet when I have proof that it arrived. Aren't buyers and sellers limited to a certain number of disputes? I really don't want this person scamming other people too

If he doesn't do the right thing you should out him here in the forums. Just as we would expect to have a scamming vendor outed I expect scamming buyers to be outed. Without having morals and doing the right thing this community ceases to function.

Hopefully another vendor will point you to "their private forum"
Out the buyer in th buyer scammers list.
He will just change accounts, but the hassle is worth it.
Now we aren't talking hours?
Cause sometimes the mailman lies.

Oh no, it wasn't a matter of hours. I totally understand how unreliable the postal service is at times, specifically in their accounting of times, but this was 2 and 1/2 days ago.
I am patient, and will at least allow the buyer a day or two to respond to my message before outing them. But, if they don't reply, or if a dispute arises, I will certainly make sure to let y'all know who NOT to do business with!! I should have just cancelled the order when I saw "Member for 10 Days" next to her name. Gross error on my part!
