Title: OnionBank? is this new?
Post by: monesty on July 23, 2013, 05:08 am
http://onionbank6fdaccy.onion/

Features a coin tumbler, escrow service and merchant tools. Signup with PGP key instead of user and password to outwit phishing. Anyone used this yet?

No.

But it sounds interesting!

it does sound very interesting. however the fact that googling onion bank does not produce a single result related to it makes me very wary. their site has very little info also, and some of the T&Cs are scary...

If you lose your key, or it is stolen, it is not our problem and we will not help you.(its just the way they say it, lol)

Dormant Accounts
If a user has not logged in to his account within a period of two years, the account will be deemed abandoned and may be closed and all funds retained by Onion Bank.

Yeah, but how else can they do it?

Server disk space is ridiculously expensive. What did you expect? Donate the abandoned money to a gay rights charity?

(Please Note: I'm probably one of the biggest cocksucking faggots on the face of the planet, and damned proud of it. Sluts are awesome. Sluts get more sex every Friday than an entire trekkie convention does in a year. I'm very good at it. I just thought I'd clarify that before someone started riding my case about making a remark about gay rights charities.)

something like 'we would be unable to reissue your password' would do. or even 'it would be impossible to reissue your password', the way they put it just makes them sound like they don't give a fuck. they probly don't i know, but they should at least try to sound like they do. they come over like money grabbers saying it like that.

just saying, that's all.

To be fair, we're all money grabbers.

The ones who are here selling drugs just to piss off the powers that be are not the majority.

Sure, there are quite a few vendors who are in it to cover the expensive habit they are nursing, but we're all in it for the money.

The only question is how low will we go to get it?

I'm an activist. I don't need some incompetent bum government employee to tell me right or wrong, and I certainly don't need any child-molesting clergyman to tell me what right and wrong is.

I know injustice when I see it. And I see it everywhere.

Even so, I have very expensive activist-related projects I need to fund, and I figure a fun way to help fund my expensive projects would be to synthesize meth and mdma, resell vast amounts of drugs domestically or even IRL on the street.

It makes me smile inside that I can make such vast amounts of tax-free money and the governments of the world can't do jack squat about it.

It's all for a good cause, anyway. Open Source projects don't fund themselves, nor do teen shelters and no-kill animal shelters.

Expensive shit right there.

College student scholarships are about as expensive as it gets. Drug dealing for funding animal shelters and scholarships?

Fuck yeah.

I signed up for an account. When you log in with your PGP key it gives you a PGP message to decrypt. In that message you're given a code to login with. I don't have any coins to play with atm but an experimental tumble is warranted.

You'll see the charges once you have an account. It was 1% for tumbling and the other rates look very acceptable.

Dont use onionbank when the site comes back up.
It was run by a guy who is now arrested by the FBI:

Damn, that is unfortunate,  I liked the idea of my BTC activity staying in onionland. what with the sneaky-sneak and so forth.
TAILS w/ no persitance, and memorize SR info, onionbank info, and write down or have PGP on stick or usb?

Sorry, the pink panther theme song comes on thinking about that.

Hopefully there wasn't too much coin in his system.

i'm a noob so take this advice with a mountain of salt, but i wouldn't trust any new banks... or onion wallets for that matter. just seems way to easy to be scammed. it's not like btc's are illegal.
