Title: Messed up and didn't use GPG
Post by: fije on May 09, 2013, 08:09 pm
I messed up and entered a mailing address without using GPG on my first order.
Anyone know how long that will stay in SR, i.e. is it automatically deleted after a while, encrypted in their DB (or kept in plain text), etc?

Surely you mean PGP lol i wouldn,t worry if its wrong address msg the seller with the correct address (along with the wrong one obviously)  :)

It's encrypted in the DB, so don't worry.

After the status is "in transit" the address field will be deleted, so no one will get it after that critical time.

GPG is the free version of PGP. In any case, you'll be fine. As Mary said the address is deleted after the item is shipped.

You are more than likely ok. You should go back to the SR, click on your account. On the right of the account screen is the Buyer's guide. Encrypting your address to your seller is mentioned there. You are fine though, don't worry.
