Title: UPS Shipment
Post by: verbal kent on July 20, 2011, 09:55 pm
Had a seller send me something through USP Ground. (Please dont ask why. I have no idea). The shipment was sent 7/8 it is now 7/20. Should I chalk it up and stop expecting to receive the package ? Or should I continue to wait.

A few things that I am considering are,

We are on 2 different coasts in US
It is UPS Ground and is not flying anywhere
Order is not a drug whatsoever

I looked at the UPS Ground map and it says 5 business days from him to I. No tracking number was added for confidential reasons.

What should I do ?

That is seven days longer than any search on the internet reads that UPS should get package from West Coast to East Coast (or vice versa).  And UPS is pretty solid in their delivery (in my experience with Ebay). Either it wasn't shipped, or was taken/stolen/lost OR ran into hub that had weather problems. Just my two cents.

Thanks for the reply. I was just doing some research and I read that the main hub is having weather problems, but that was just posted on UPS site today.

Am giving up hope. But will wait to weeks end b4 I take any action.

UPS shipments are 7 days max coast to coast.  all UPS  shipments have a tracking number so you should be able to find out its location.   UPS seems to be more proactive about having a correct / valid / legit return address, so maybe it got flagged/ intercepted.
