Title: Two questions about PO Boxes
Post by: ElTouch on September 17, 2012, 02:41 am
1) If you give the other person a fake name to ship to, but a legit po box will the package still arrive in your box?

2) Every package should just arrive in your box where you open it with your key, take it, and leave, correct?  In what cases do they hold packages at the desk for you to sign for?

1) Don't use fake anything

2) Only when the package won't fit the box, most places will SIGN FOR YOU, specifically UPS Mailboxes

My input:
No fake names. Just make sure you have a good vendor and...well then its just another piece of mail for you!
If a package needs to be signed, you may need to sign it. Not sure, no experience with that. I do know though that you can sign up for "signature on file" if you have a PO box. Look it up. They will sign on your behalf.
And just tell your vendor your PO box size limitations to make sure you don't need to pick it up at the desk if your not looking to pick it up. Or just get a larger PO box. I think most post offices have different sizes.

this guy knows what he's talking about

USPS will make you sign for it at the desk. I've done it no problem. I like using USPS over private companies, because private companies can cooperate with LE and let them search your shit, whereas a government service, like the USPS requires a warrant for such things. Not 100% on that, but I just don't trust private companies.

P.O. boxes are legit tho
