I'm sure greendot knows where the pak was purchased and where it was unloaded to and will give that information to law enforcement if they ask. Where it was purchased is probably pretty meaningless and I assume where it gets unloaded is only meaningful if the unloader is wanted for something and not just unloading paks.

Like so much in security matters, it kind of depends on how serious/determined LE was/is in tracking you...it's really weird when you think about it, but we just don't know: the most important questions of all, we just can't answer...so some will go to exreme lengths--probably the best strategy--and some seem to hardly protect themselves at all, other than using tor (which is quite a bit of protection in itself) ... mostly I make sure to have instawallet.org on either side of most of any transactions I might, or might not do :)

Do you use the instawallet that you download or the one with the browser url?

Instawallet.org is not a download: it just gives you a site which you can bookmark, specific to you...you can get as many of them as you need.   click on instawallet.org, then bookmark that page....it's yours

The regular bitcoin wallet, I don't like anymore...too much trouble, too much information on my desktop, and hell, people seem to loose them as much as an online wallet.  Everybody sees it differently, and have different needs...I try to keep it online, so whatever I need, I can get from anywhere, and nothing on my computer....

So I no longer download and install a bitcoin wallet, on my pc...I still have one actually, now I think about it, but never use it....

Thank you.  I have been having no luck fixing my wallet to accept money.  It's funny how it worked fine until I did a large transfer. I sware I have a computer that fucken hates me or gets jealous for not spending all my time with it.  LOL

I have similar problems, and I thought I knew my way around this stuff, but the deal is: on my debian OS, on one computer, the wallet's work fine, but on my little netbook, that I take with me everywhere, it just loads and loads and loads, but once it gets within about 10,000 blocks away from finishing, just stalls....I've done, the  other stuff, just downloaded the blocks to a flash drive, and copied wallet.dat and put it somewhere else, but it just got way too complicated and I don't know why one computer would be so different, and I tried everything people on my other sites would recommend to me....

That's why I love instawallet.org.... I've never had a problem, never had a loss, and they stay away from my quirky cpu's that seem to just not like btc...

I keep it in the cloud, just make sure to have a good browser, say on a flash drive, with everything I need.  The portable tor works fine, or so does liberte linux, if I want to get a more protected, then just save the website URL of instawallet.  If I use Tails, then I need to make sure to save it somewhere so I don't loose it....but usually I get my instawallet  and btc stuff setup somewhere else...then only use tails in transfer....
