Hello and thanks in advance for any assistance the kind users here can provide. I've just spent over an hour attempting to make a deposit into my SR account and am no closer now than when I started.
OK, so I purchased and amount of Bitcoins using Coinbase and these funds are now available there. But how do I make an actual (first) deposit so that I can make a purchase? I'm following the directions on the "Buyers Guide", but......so I have the address that it (generated, I assume) for me, but for the world of me, I can not locate where you actually MAKE THE DEPOSIT. I am on the "http://silkroadvb5piz3r.onion/account/first_deposit" page. (I have changed the password and PIN as suggested there.) It states to "Once you are ready, send your deposit to this address:" (The address is listed.) But where, where, where is the actual button / link to perform this action? Also, related to this, I created a generic yahoo e-mail account for any communication between myself and the seller. Is that ok?
Again, thank you so much for any assistance you can provide. (I feel SO dense!!!! :)

In your coinbase account you can click "Send Money" this will ask you for an address and an amount. Use the address that's in your SR account page and coinbase will send the funds over. It will take upto an hour or more to get to SR so don't freak out when coinbase says they're gone and SR says you don't have them yet.

I'm also a newbie here, just placed my first order the other night.
From what i could gather this is not acceptable you will need to communicate via message system on the main site but sensitive info i.e. address should be encrypted using PGP
Couple of threads detail how to get you up and running and there also a thread to test it:)
Dudes right, communication should go through SR always. It should be PGP encrypted if the vendor has a public key
