Title: Game of Thrones Season 3. Paying $75
Post by: tina on July 03, 2013, 10:25 pm
What is the best way to go about watching this? I'm interested in a good quality picture with surround sound formatting. If an established VENDOR would ship me Season 3 using an escrow transaction, I would be glad to pay $75 worth of BTC. I will not consider offers from regular SR users at the time.

If you can help me, please PM me directly on the forums describing what you can sort out.

Just download the 720p scene releases off a torrent site. There is also a pack of 720p and 1080p web-dl's out there as well. The only thing better than a site to buy drugs on the internet is a site that let's you download all the HD movies and TV that you want.  ;D

thanks. I never used to be such a noob... I don't know what happened.

I have two concerns with torrents - I understand that I can download something with a good picture, but will the file retain formatting?  Also, I love closed captioning. Will any rips retain close captioning formatting?

thanks.

You can download whatever format you want in a lot of cases. the predominant container is .mkv and can easily be played on your TV with VLC Media player or MPC black edition. just connect your TV with an hdmi cable to your computer. Anything that is .avi or xvid is GARBAGE and not HD. Web-DL's often have subtitles, the rest do not. There are many places to get them though.

My current system (for the next 2 months) does not render high quality very well. It is choppy. So...  If I plug connect to my TV via HTMI, I'll still have choppiness issues ya?

Will standard Blue Ray players play the format you just listed?  I.E. Could i rip that file format to a blue ray or DVD and expect my Blue Ray player to work?  I know... I could probably google it, but i'm away from my blue ray player / components right now.

+1 btw

I know some people use bluray players but I don't since I have a media server so I couldn't tell ya how they do it. Probably have to start googling how to play .mkv on a BD player.

No. Some torrent sites have BD50 rips, which is a straight up disk image of a Blu-ray. But I don't suppose those would be available for Game of Thrones. I honestly don't know of any consumer software that burns BD anyway (please tell me I'm wrong). You could get XVID .avis and some disc authoring software that will build DVD architectures for you. The thing is if you just plop these files on a disc it won't work because these protocols have standard structures. But if you really need HD video then I'd say you'll just have to be patient.
