Title: Acquiring more than $500 btc at once
Post by: Moon Fried on May 20, 2013, 07:17 pm
What's the fastest and most convinient way? I usually go to CVS and use MoneyGram through BitInstant but there's a maximum of $500.

Hiya Moon Fried  (Hugs)

Now dont take this the wrong way  :P

when i see people say they cant do more than $500.00 per day with Bitinstant.(**DISCLAIMER** i am not endorsing Bitinstant whatsoever!)
However...i push $1000.00 through bitinstant Every time with no flaws..coins in my account within usually 1 hour..i have had it take up to 6 hours though..anyhow..this is what i do...
i make one $500.00 transaction...with bitinstant...then i wait 15 minutes..and do another $500.00 transaction.
then i go to CVS or Wal-Mart and Complete (1) transaction.  then i walk around for a few minutes and complete the other transaction. Sometimes i have to talk to a MG rep so they can make sure it's n ot a duplicate transaction..pretty simple really  :)

Anywhoo...this is just what i do..maybe not for everyone to do...doesnt work for everyone i guess ..'cuz i see alot of complaints about BI...i have no clue why my stuff goes through flawlessly  :o

But it works for Me  :)

Hope this has helped someone  (Hugs)

Well I've heard/thought of doing that, but doesn't that sometimes trip up the system and cause it to think it's a duplicate? I know BitInstant will sort it out, but I'd rather not have to go through that each time.

**Now this is just based upon actual events which happened to me**

The couple times which i have had to speak to a MG Representative....i didnt wait a few (maybe 5) minutes
to complete my second BI transaction within the CVS/Wal-Mart.

When i do it the way i have just explained....it works flawlessly for me..like i said..from reading past threads about BI ..what i do may not work for others  :o

Just Sayin  :P

i truely hope that everything works for you  (Hugs)

:)

Once again...my way of doing things may not work for others.

Okay... well it's definitely worth a try. What I'll do is pay for the first transaction, wait for Blockchain to say there's btc on the way, then go for my second transaction. Seems pretty legit. 8)

Thanks ChemCat.

Once again...this is what i do....after paying @ CVS/Wal-Mart for the first transaction...i walk around the store for a bit then complete second transaction...also...i wait about 15 min before i actually place the second order ..before i go to CVS/Wal-Mart..the times i havent....i had to speak to the MG Rep., which was easy cuz i just said "No, this isnt a duplicate transaction  :)

I Hope this helps ya  (Hugs)

It WILL be picked up as a duplicate. Once I did a $1000 (split into $500), and once I payed through zipzap, one only came through. a rep told me that large amount in split orders have to be two different unique amounts. took 48hr for the coins. Thats when the big bubble popped so I was potentially fucked.

Fellas, probably the most anonymous and easiest way to get bitcoins is by going on localbitcoins.com

That's definitely the trick.  I've gotten between $900-1000 worth of coins in one trip to my local Wal-mart or CVS on multiple occasions by just doing two orders in different amounts.  For instance, last time I had one order for around $475 and another around $490.  It keeps them from being treated as duplicates, and has never failed for me.
