i'm sorta confused by your post but thats not the sr link i use. http://silkroadvb5piz3r.onion/index.php/silkroad/home
-
they change the sr adress all the time on hidden wiki ,i have it bookmarked people say not to and remember
they wont have your pin but will in 7 days and thats why sr have the really annoying 7 day wait but without it your coins would be gone already
dont know what u should do if u have loads of coins in there they probably blocked your access to your account by requesting new pin not sure how the fishing sites work but not good news for u if u have coins
-
found in TOR dir before a while
i do not logged there, just warning others ;)
-
Lol I love how they change the hidden wiki, but not wikipedia XD (yes, wikipedia has the REAL silkroad address)

That, if nothing else, is one of the reasons to prominently post a PGP key, and make reference to it in your .sig.
If I lost my PIN, I could PGP-clearsign a message to the admins/DPR requesting a new pin. Anyone with a copy of my PGP key could could validate that message was signed by me, and not someone else. DPR does the same thing when he makes an announcement -- he PGP-clearsigns it, so we can validate that the message is genuine, as opposed to a forgery.
Guru
I never knew all that man. Good information. Thanks for sharing.
I am playing around with it now.

Guru - can you explain further how this works.
Are you saying I would send a copy if my public key along with the message? Couldn't anyone send an unencrypted message with someone elses public key in this way?!

No, the SR url changes on the hidden wiki, it's changed all the time to phishing sites to gather login info from noobies all the time.
Just memorize the real url and you'll be fine: silkroadvb5piz3r.onion
*Backup urls: (You can check DPR's post to make sure these are real if you don't trust me)

I seem to be doing it wrong, Guru. With your correct examples, I just get "Key NOT valid", but with the incorrect ones I just get the message "BAD". Why does it say it isn't valid, if it's at least obviously differentiating between correct and incorrect?
