Title: I am trying to find a suitable substance....
Post by: hanjis on March 10, 2012, 09:03 am
I have narcolepsy and severe social anxiety. I lack the ability to communicate with others properly in a social setting.
I want something that gives energy, and boosts social ability.
I find mdpv does seem to help a lot. However, it is usually way overpriced.
I tried adderall, and it helped with narcolepsy, but provided no boost in social enjoyment for me.

Meth works well, but it is too mainstream and get people caught up to easily.

Any suggestions?

I suggest a formal referral and ongoing relationship with a psychiatrist. Self medicating with illicit substances may produce positive short-term results but ultimately what you want is a stable, controlled solution which will enable you to function in the world on a daily basis, and despite what many people will tell you about big pharm, pills and so on, for many people they provide an otherwise impossible set of outcomes to often very complex problems. If you meet all the diagnostic criterion, you should be able to get scripts for most relevant compounds, and so in consultation arrive at what works best for you. One of these things which you can order from here which is worth a try is Modafinil, it will not give any euphoria but it does its job very effectively with a good safety profile and minimal side effects. I wish you the best of luck in finding a stable and effective solution.

+1. Except I'd recommend seeing a psychologist first, if possible. Every experience of mine with a psychiatrist has gone absolutely horribly. One fucktard sent me to the ER for a week on accident, and so I've avoided psychiatrists like the plague ever since (not that the others didn't do a bad job, too, that was just the worst)...

Agreed. Although my experience with psychiatrists and psychologists has been detrimental in most cases. Some people simply find it difficult to communicate their insecurities and complexes to someone with little relational experience outside of a Psychology textbook.

OP, I wouldn't recommend you take any substance to try and counteract your instabilities. Not only is it possible to prolong and intensify your anxiety and other conditions, but what's worse is you may even build a mental dependency on said substance, and rely on it to get you through all of your social situations. You don't want to live your life like that.

If you must take a substance though, I recommend something introspective. Something that will get you thinking on how to better yourself in terms of health and mental stability for the future. Maybe something like LSD, mushrooms, or even DMT. There is always the risk of influencing a predisposed condition to materialize or exasperate ones you already have, but these are substances that one cannot really build a dependency to, and allow one to look inside of himself. Real and lasting change comes from within.

Holy shit, please be careful with that Peevee. Many people liken it to crack in the way it's habit forming. Also, MDPV is overpriced? Last time I checked with an EU RC vendor, it was about 20$ per gram. It's active in the single milligram range!
The dilemma is simply that to grow socially you need REGULAR social activity. If you depend on boosting this chemically you'll soon face symptoms of tolerance and if you keep on pushing it, burn-out. It just isn't sustainable. I'd agree with the others to seek a qualified person to help and ACTIVATE you. But don't go straight for the psychiatrist, as wisely noted above.
