Title: Is International Shipping legit?
Post by: thizzbrain on January 18, 2012, 09:20 am
Hi all, I'm new to all this and am a little confused still how international shipping works. Am I going to be losing every other package or should it usually go off without a hitch?  It may be a kind of vague question to ask I'm just not trying to jump into something and then not have it be worth it since I'm losing half my profit to lost packages... thx all and glad to be apart of the silk road!

It depends what country you are shipping from and what country you are shipping to. Also, if you only lose half your profit if you lose every other package then you should be rich in no time! The worst part about international shipping is that buyers can claim they didnt get the package and unless you paid for an expensive international tracking number there isnt much you can do about it.

I've personally never had trouble with international shipping. I've had some very sketchy-looking packages still make it to me, surprisingly.

I kid you not, the one time a package didn't make it to me was when someone put postage and wrote the address on a clear plastic bag with 500mg of 2C-T-7 mislabeled as MXE. They didn't even fucking put the bag in anything. I'm not surprised at ALL that that didn't go through (I am surprised that customs thought it was MXE, though, haha).

People who package their items well will have very high success rates.

I'm wanting to start getting shipments out of the Netherlands on a pretty regular basis of some rolls, will that make a difference when factoring the success? like will mdma be harder to get by then other stuff?

Anything that will not fit in a plain letter envelope is much more likely to not make it through customs.  Additionally, packages from the Netherlands are less likely to make it through than from other countries - a significant portion of contraband entering the USA through the mail originates from NL.

That is all assuming you live in the USA.  Packages from the Netherlands don't seem to have much trouble going to another country in the EU.

Yes I'm in the US.  I plan on ordering 4 to sample out with a few friends see how good they are and if they will make it there just fine. So is it worth ordering anymore then that? The way it sounds the success rate of Netherlands to US shipping isn't very reliable

I'd recommend not ordering a ton at a time so that if it's intercepted it's not a huge deal.

Why don't you try it out? I recommend the UK, since the USA have similar laws as them. Don't order shit from the Netherlands because it's a high risk country.

You may lose some packages. Only ones I've had trouble with were from Holland, as far as being searched/seized. Canada has never even been slow for me.  The employee theft rate of  NY,Chicago and Miami ISC's far surpasses the seizure rate, and almost all abroad packages come through one of those 3.

On the books, customs cannot pursue the seller unless they are schedule 1 or 2, and of felony quantity. They cannot pursue the buyer unless the quantity is of felony weight. of course we know you cant rely on the laws anymore, the US gov has been ignoring them for a long time.

I have ordered several things internationally and never had anything seized yet (knock on wood).  One package in particular, that I receive almost every month from a popular online pharmacy, contains a bottle of pills and rattles like a god-damned maraca.  It's not hard to figure out what's inside haha.

Though I suppose it's a lot different when they open a package and there is a bag of powder instead of a semi-legit looking bottle of medicine.
