So basically I know a guy who has a friend that is a dental resident at a local hospital. This friend(the dental resident) would take blank scripts and write the guy a script for say 60 10/325 oxys under another residents name using the attending doctors DEA# (residents dont have their own and apparently this is common practice). This has been done for my friend 3 or 4 times in the past 6 months. Each time the script would be written for a different family member as the pharmacy would allow him to pick up the scripts for family members. A different pharmacy/chain was used each time. I am just curious as to how exposed this leaves someone to LE investigation? The pharmacy has never attempted to call the hospital to confirm the scripts as far as i know and always filled with no questions asked. Does my friend have anything to worry about? Any and all feedback is appreciated.
