1mg Loraz is equivalent to 10mg Diaz.

In terms of the effect of the initial dose, yes.

But you should keep in mind that diazepam has a much longer biological halflife. The 10:1 ratio doesn't hold true when you take them on a daily basis, the halflife of lorazepam is in the order of 15 hours, where that of diazepam may be 36 hours to several days, allowing diazepam to accumulate in your system with daily use.

For comparison, the halflife of xanax is in the order of 10 hours with little or no active metabolites, causing the effect to dissipate much more quickly.
