It would be great if I was on LSD or Shrooms, but I'm not.

Mr. Bean was amazing though.

Dizzie Rascal ? FFS, never heard the guy apart from radio which I turn off (if I can)

Another 'poet' whose depth of vision seems to attract 14 year old's who fell out with the parent(s)

Shit music. I'd listen on MDMA and dance and hug the guy.

But....

 ;D

I wake up the next day and sure as hell will not be downloading his discography.

A musician is nothing until they have ten albums or die young.

Dizzee has not died young. That sucks. He should snort like twenty grams of coke and inject a gram of H live at the opening event.

Sell out.

 ;)

I got up early to see the various teams walking in the arena, after they all took their places I went back to sleep. I heard my sister talking about Atkins showing up but I couldn`t be bothered to watch more.

Atkins was awesome, he will always be Mr Bean to me.

As for Mel B who the fuck does she think she is, stupid bitch.
Its not like she has released anything decent.

I enjoyed the ceremony and was taken aback by how much effort went into it.
The music left a lot to be desired though!

The Queen looked very bored I thought!

I thought the scene with Daniel Craig and the Queen was EPIC.
I was pretty drunk at the time and all these little things are starting to come back to me!!!!

Listen to Boy In Da Corner, his first album. It's pretty tight stuff and so damn raw, there's no album like it. :) It's a shame he became a representative of kids rebelling against their middle-class parents.

Anyone who gets up their own ass like that doesnt have a long career.
Look at Russell Crowe, Eminem, many many others.

Are you suggesting that Eminem didn't have a long, successful and distinguished career?

I fail to see how "selling more than 42 million tracks and 41.5 million albums in the United States, and nearly 90 million albums worldwide." which makes him "ranked him 82nd on its list of The 100 Greatest Artists of All Time" and also starring in several movies, and having one movie made just about his life, isn't a long career?

Oh no, i am not saying that.
However he has not managed to stay in the lime light as long as others.  I am not sure how true this is, but "apparently" there is some king of cult with those big in the music business get involved in.  The way i heard it Eminem decided to quit, hence the reason you dont see much of him on tv.
Just because he has had such a huge success in the past it doesnt necessarily mean he still has all that money.
Of course, it could just be a part of the rumour mill.

From what I know he has more money than ever, he realized that running a production company was much more profitable than being an artist (production companies actually keep about 95 to 98% of the profits from music sales), so he's running a huge production company now with some friends.

A lot of other artists realise this too, such as Jay Z etc.

Pink Floyd's 'Eclipse' at the very peak of the show was just perfect.

Thanks for that clarification oscar.
I would rather believe that than listen to all this secret society cult worship bollocks.

I do actually like Eminem, but people have a way of swaying you off someone.  Glad to hear he is doing well.

It was wildly creative, confused and chaotic. British to the core. Loved it......

What a ridiculous thing to say, honestly is that how you judge a musicians value?

(Back on topic) I really was expecting it to be complete shit and an embarrassment! But, I thought is was quiet good. Danny Boyle was given a really hard task here. He had to put on a show that somehow represent us, our history, our music, our culture, our humour etc. It had to entertain and tick all the required boxes. And, it all had to be done on a budget. I only saw the first hour and the last half hour (I "fell asleep" in the middle, as my drug use can often make me do), but, what I did see exceeded my expectations. Really, I don't know what I'd have done, given the same job to do a Danny Boyle.

Have you guys noticed the empty seats at most of the events already? The excuses are already coming out.
