Post by: jonnyboy91 on July 22, 2013, 12:59 pm
Hey all i'm running liberte linux and use the GPA client to import pgp keys and most of the time they import fine but recently with a few of the newer vendors when i try import the key it says no keys were found? I'm doing the same process of putting them in gedit then importing them in gpa so i dont know why its not doing it properly any ideas?

Not sure if these will help but here are two that I have heard/seen:

1. Delete the 'version' line and try again:
-----BEGIN PGP PUBLIC KEY BLOCK-----
Version: GnuPG v2.0.20 (MingW32)

2. Near the end of the key, between where those = signs are, it seems the carriage return/linefeed can screw things up. Sometimes deleting the newline and pressing enter can fix it:

HslkHrIPTivi6xy7xPKS+d11UfA=
=oN+/
-----END PGP PUBLIC KEY BLOCK-----
