Title: New Vendor Question...
Post by: topshelf1 on July 05, 2013, 03:48 pm
I have opened a vendor account and hope to go live soon with my store...(It's under a different name...)

My question is what buyer stats does the vendors see when someone places an order...for example how many transactions the buyer has completed etc...?

I want to get off to a good start and avoid problem buyers...and also want to see a minimum transaction record of a certain number o prior purchases of similar product...

Maybe I'm paranoid but I'm thinking if I start getting orders from people who have never bought before...it could be LEO...trying to derail a new vendor...

PS: I posted this question already yesterday...but the thread seems to have disappeared...page 2 of SR Discussion comes up with no threads showing at all...I understand there was some maintenance on the forums going on recently so maybe that's what happened...

Topper

There's no way to avoid buyer problems. They come in all shapes and sizes.

And when you're new, "perfect stat" long term SR buyers may engage in feedback blackmail because they know their feedback carries more weight than an average buyer. So set aside some cash to weather the feedback blackmail you might have to endure from these buyers.

Best of luck vending.

what is your vendor name?

I am perhaps being overly cautious but I wish to keep my vendor identity separate from my identity here on the forums...sorry to be secretive...reason is that as a relative newbie here...my posts on the forums could have unwittingly given clues that say more about me than I would like...luckily I have received some good guidance from the top notch moderators here...as well as PMs from experienced Silk Roaders...

Thanks for the words of advice Ben...much appreciated...
