I'm a huge horror fan, but I may have reached the point where I have seen most of the decent horror movies worth seeing. Unless anyone knows of any obscure movies which deserve a viewing? If there are any horror geeks out there who can unearth any hidden gems for me, I'm all ears...
Sci fi gems also greatly appreciated...
+1 to any decent ideas. Would appreciate the IMDB link of possible.

Dude I feel u. I'm a horror buff but iv literally seen everything and I strive to find films that scare me but haven't found any in a while.
I watched creepshow the other night by Stephen king. Proper old school weird horror. Only watch at night in the dark though otherwise it ain't scary.
I started looking into the old hammer films when all the mainstream stuff became boring. Try wake wood.

Have you watched any episodes of "Masters of Horror"? Some of them are stupid, but there are gems in that series for sure. My favorites are "Dance of the Dead", "Jenifer" and "Fair haired Child".
"Dance of the Dead" is probably the best although admittedly more just plain dark than it is actually scary.

I recently enjoyed the 2011 remake of Fright Night.

Have seen pontypool. It was okay, good concepts. I might take a look at dead girl now though if you rate it.

You should also check out "I Saw the Devil". It's more of a thriller than a horror movie because there's no monsters in it because all the horrible shit is done by humans.

Watch 'The Eye', I thought it wasn't going to be scary as it had Jessica Alba in it 8). But jheez, it was scary. It's the only film that has ever gotten close to scaring me.

The DBZ Live action movie, it's horror alright ::) Why they cast a Canadian to play Goku I will never know ::)
jk
But I've herd 'The eye' was pretty legit

Check out The Skin I Live In. It's a Spanish film and is more fucking creepy than gorey, but is such a great film :)

Thanks for the suggestion. I've seen them all except 'The Skin I live in' and 'Moribito' which I will dl and watch later. Thanks and +1s all round. Keep 'em rolling in....
