Title: escrow for vendors
Post by: Skippy_Jif on July 01, 2012, 05:13 am
Am I protected if I can prove package arrived at buyers addy?

Since I'm a new vendor I can't have FE option nor do I really want to. Will I be compensated since the funds are already designated to the escrow acct?

Thanks!

If the buyer tries to say the item didn't arrive, when you have delivery confirmation, SR support will take care of it. If you have a DCN and it proves the item arrived, then you are fine.

Thank you for the help! I think I will be staying in escrow all the time.

Depends on quantity and country. International orders I try to send letters because customs can't check DOCUMENTATION LETTERS(they're legally sealed from doing so).

All packages will fit in mailboxes. Even in an apartment they will leave you a key for a bigger box. Also, I'm open to suggestions by buyer(it is their money).

I had a brainfart when I answered the letter question. No I will never use regular mail. Only priority and express. Sorry about that

My understanding is:  valid DCN = vendor is cleared and has fulfilled his obligation.  If a buyer claims they didn't receive the letter, and the vendor has the DCN saying that it was sent and delivered, then SR will grant that the letter was indeed sent and delivered.

I'm not really sure what stops vendors from sending out "dummy letters" though...but the system seems to work.  I've never not received a letter that had a DCN with it...
