Title: OPIATES What should i carry??
Post by: hybridmike on August 25, 2011, 05:53 pm
Ok, i have a question for the masses.. the doc wont perscribe two imeadiate release pills anymore, so i wanted to know what people would perfer, Morphine ER, or Methadone? or is there anything better?

If your doc will prescribe you any ER drug, you should try to convince him to give you Opana. They're pretty hot on the market and delicious.

A tangential question: Does anybody know anything about Exalgo (Hydromorphone HCL ER) http://www.exalgo.com/

lol the exalgo website says   " EXALGO tablets are to be swallowed whole and are not to be broken, chewed, dissolved, crushed, or injected. Taking broken, chewed, dissolved, or crushed EXALGO or its contents leads to rapid release and absorption of a potentially fatal dose of hydromorphone."

i guess they are going after the junkie crowd, good business sense i guess.

What were you on previously?? Your choices are basically oxycontin, which comes in 40mg/60mg/80mg time release dosages; Opana ER, which you will only get if you've been on high doses of oxycodone for a long time, which I seriously doubt; MScontin which is time release morphine, which is not overly difficult to get and probably your best bet; then there's Opana's less potent cousin Dilaudid, which probably comes in a time-release formulation, and is usually only prescribed after surgeries or for say, a bad car accident (to my somewhat limited knowledge.)

Well, between the methadone and the morphine ER I would choose the methadone. But, if your doctor will prescribe it, for sure go for the Opana. When taken as prescribed, it has very little side effects. It takes away the pain and thats about it..Now, thats taken as prescribed. If you take it like most of us do, then not only does it take away the pain, but other effects...

I am surprised that he wrote 2 IR meds to begin with. He must of had a problem. Someone got caught selling or OD'ed or something.. So, it looks like hes making  you go to one ER and one IR. For personal pain use. I have always found it better that the 2 meds are different. IF you use the opana ER  I would probably use oxycodone for breakthrough. Or use methadone for your ER and opana ir's for breakthrough...

yeah for years was oxycodone 30's and norco 10's .. then we changed the 30's to 15's because it was easier to find... i had a scrip for opana once, but the insurance didnt cover it an when i went to pick it up they wanted like 400-500$! and that was the pharmacy pricing lol

but yes, there has been recent law changes and the doc now wont perscribe two IR pills, so now its choose an ER
scrip that has value on SR..

how does the opana compare to oxycodone 30's? i know that the liver turns oxycodone into oxymorphone, so in theory, the effects should be like a really high dose of oxycodone... this is why shooting opana is supposed to be a great rush.. similar to dilaudid, which is what the liver turns morphine into (hydromorphone)

If you want a ER for legit pain, then go with Exalgo. They offer something like 8 to 24mg doses, for 1-2 times daily. They worked for me pretty well in the past.
Also, just scrape the outside coating off, then take a razor blade and you can scape off the outside coating, and easily pestle and mortar the pill for alternative ingestion methods.

When taken normally it's great for pain though. One or two a day with little headiness and great pain relief. For me anyway.

If you can get methadone, that's far better than the morphine.
But id you can get hydromorphone or oxymorphone that's just as good as the methadone.

sniffing an opana 40mg crushed is like sniffing 80-100mg of oxycontin /roxies. it will fucking destroy you.

nod right into the nearest flat surface.

wouldn't know about shooting. probably pretty fuckin' powerful.

You hit the nail on the head. Snorting it is equal to about 100mg of oxy, but with i.v. you have to be really careful. Well, you need to be careful when you are playing with any size of opana but remember they planned on that 40mg's to be taken by mouth. If you were to get a shot of oxymorphone in the hospital, they would probably not give more than 1-2mg. I've seen just 10mg knock out a very opioid tolerant person.

Almost everyone that I have known that first takes a 40 underestimates its strength. They assume that its the same as a 80mg oxy.. Its not. Its much stronger. Always be careful.

Fent patches are my holy grail...you're probably not going to get moved up to those so easily...I'd go for Methadones. But if you can talk him into the patches by all means jump on that shit!

Hi Mate,

I'd go for the Fentanyl patches for sure (if he will prescribe them), the higher the strength the better.

I'd be interested in them for sure, I don't order pills or powders from international vendors, because I live in Australia and our customs are fucking tough, they check every piece of international mail. From what I hear the patches don't draw attention when X-Rayed.

Thanks Morphing
