Title: Techie question for any computer genius
Post by: SunQueen on February 03, 2013, 07:31 am
:)  Something that is puzzling me to distraction.  I use a vendors public key to encrypt a message to him, then I paste it to the reply section, I then paste my public key right below the message and when I do that my encrypted message disappears and there is a duplicate of my public key. Is my public key and message imbedded together? I have tried it putting my key first then the message and the same thing happens. I have also tried doing it together as it shows on the clipboard and the same thing happens. It is weird. Any insight would be appreciated and I will +karma you when I can, promise, thanks, SunQueen    am a very new newbie, and don't want to look like an idiot when I place my first order

If the encrypted message is your address, then there's no reason to give him your public key. Also, if you really want to send him you public key (even though it's unlikely he will use it), just add it after your message, and then encrypt the whole thing.
