I was needing some BTC fast and few other vendors were a little busy to answer my messages. Well... the NEW GUY COMES THROUGH!!
-
Just used pakupaku to exchange a $320 MP... All I have to say is WOW. Had the whole transaction done in less than an hour at an unbelievable rate. I was about to pay 3 times his price from another vendor, glad I took a chance on the new guy.
Will certainly be a returning customer, couldn't be one bit happier with how it went. Thanks pakupaku!
-
Pakupaku may have to adjust to the supply and demand of the market in the future, but for the time being everyone should take advantage of great rates! It certainly wont hurt to have more competition anyway :)
-
Can you cash a $350 MP?
-
I'm glad to hear there is a new MP vendor... competition is good for this market ... Especially with ripoff's like BTCbuddy who regularly charges 30% to 50% (or more) commission fees, exploiting newbies who do not know how to use http://bitcoincharts.com and a calculator.
Let's take a look at BTCbuddy the Ripoff Artist, just to see how much he is ripping off unsuspecting newbs for today. . .
"BITCOIN PRICE: $6.50 Subject to change at the time of redemption, slightly. Yes, That price is correct. "
-BTCBuddy's profile
Lol... And that's with over a 24 hour turnaround!! Hahaha, what a joke! I can't believe people use this guy. Okay now Let's take a look at bitcoincharts.com... The current Mt.Gox exchange rate (on the homepage, in the Mt.Gox row, under the "Avg" column) is 4.873 $ per btc.
BTC BUDDY RIPOFF PREMIUM CALCULATION:
======
Now let's calculate the premium:
BTC_Buddy_rate = $6.50 / btc
MtGox_rate = $4.87 / btc
BTC_Buddy_rate
---- = 1.333 , aka *** > 33% ripoff premium ****
MtGox_rate
I am convinced "BTCbuddy" customers are unaware of how badly they are getting ripped off. They have to wait over 24hours , probably a couple of days, for the privilege of BTCbuddy skimming off one third of their moneypak. So there you go.
=====
The only trustworthy MP vendor in my opinion is BTCpal ... and he's great... It's just sometimes the demand for moneypak's exceeds his supply and ability to process orders. But he is trustworthy and fair (10% flat rate). PakuPaku, assuming you are not a scam, that is your real competition. Hopefully between you and BTCpal, you can put BTCbuddy (and his 33% commission) out of business for good.
The only thing I would have to say to everyone about Pakupaku is that 5% is a good deal -- comparable with using the best methods available. Personally, I am willing to pay up to 10% for a MP commission rate, perhaps up to 12% when I'm really desperate for btc, provided the turnaround is quick (<6 hours) .
But lastly, to all reading, this is a new vendor. Don't exchange any more MP than you are willing to lose. There have been lots of scammers and selective scammers operating lately (agentmulder, thecloser29, paythepiper, etc), so be careful , and understand that 'trust' is built over a long period of time (weeks and months). Until then, you've got to be wary and assume that the guy on the other end of the connection is a scammer.
Hopefully over time PakuPaku will prove himself to be legit, as that's the only way to build actual trust.... time , consistency, and reliability
-
very interested, right now using the king but your fee is half of his so will look forward to more reviews before i bounce on this.

Haha seriously bro, It's crazy the STUPID AND SERIOUSLY PLAIN OUT RETARDED THINGS PEOPLE DO WHEN PARANOID. I stopped using MP's when Btcpal started to take 3-4 days and secret "fees" would make it so I got charged more than just 9%, but I would BITCH like a BITCH if I got fucked cause these BTC exchangers are making bank and have the worst customer service ever! Its pretty damn retarded.
Everyone needs to use Bitinstant.com. This PLACE IS AMAZING :) you can only use 4 different types of wallets(mtgox, dwallla, etc.) but mtgox is seriously the easiest to registar in and you can do a cash bank deposit with Bitinstant(BI is what I'm gonna call it for now on). I won't need to tell you how it all works cause BI is really easy to know what you need so nothing fucks up. But you can use any bank(if not, the big ones are forsure). And coins will be in your mtgox acct in like 5 min if you call them or depending on when you deposit the cash 5-45min since they check every hour. and then 30min-2hours(max) for your btc from mtgox to hit your acct. The fee for bank deposits are also 4.5% and if you contact them and ask for a better %age on a BIG amount(1500+) you can probably get like 2-3% :D.
No name needed for any of this too guys.
I dont care if i'm trashing this thread either! I'm here for the community and THEY NEED TO STOP USING BTC EXCHANGERS!!! ESPECIALLY MONEYPAK TO BTC ONES! >:(
I'm not that mad lol ::), but it's sad how much more money you have to spend to buy items that are already premium priced. You guys are me in the past that I need to help! Well when I can ::)
-
Just bought $160 in bitcoins from this guy.. the other MoneyPak->Bitcoin vendors dont compare to him in his processing time or rate... Will be choosing him again
-
going to try this guy out tomorrow.
-
I was kind of worried about this guy being new and all, so i kept in contact with him for a few days just asking questions and he was very responsive in each message. I made a $140 MP deposit and got 26.86 bitcoins. I asked him how long it would take just after i made my order and literally in 7 minutes i got all my bitcoins! Goodshit man, no need to be worried anymore thanks alot. A+ try this guy out.

PAKUPAKU
Is there a minimum for making a purchase of bitcoins? Most vendors only do a minimum of $100, how about you - do you do lesser amounts?
- Eco
-
damn i was going to get coins today but your profile says your closed on w/es
-
message him. i thought that too, but i messaged him first before i made a transaction and he said he could do it today.
-
I messaged pakupaku last night and received a response within minutes. He traded BTC for my MoneyPak for a rate that was half as much as the next lowest on SR. Quit wasting your money on the "well known" expensive traders and give pakupaka a try!
-
too late what i wanted is off the market now..sold out in 12 hours

No minimum! pakupaku may charge a slight premium on really small orders, maybe 15% instead of 10% But pakupaku does not turn away revolutionaries!

Great guy, got my exchange done in lightening speed!!

Awesome - I will be coming to you tomorrow or Tuesday. Thanks Paku!
-
just placed my first order with paku, will be back to update how it goes.
-
I'll admit I was very skeptical of Paku at first because he had little feedback and only charges 5%...but i placed an order with him at 11pm last night and he funded my account by 11:20...service doesn't get better then that I highly recommend him.
-
Boy I am glad everyone else is having such a great experience with Paku. I have been waiting for ~12 hours. I don't know what I did wrong! I am trying to be patient but it is so difficult when the holidays are right around the corner... ;)
Edit: I did it wrong, my mistake, pakupaku is totally legit and super quickl!
-
It shows that he received and read the PM with MP # over 17 hours ago and I still have not received my coins. Hmmm....
UPDATE: I got my coins now. :) I suppose he has to sleep and stuff sometimes.... :)
-
Pakupaku came thru with my coins in a reasonable amount of time. i would definitely use him again.
-
just wondering how long is the wait time, i like my coins w/i the hour.
-

i would message him first before sending your MP so that you know when he can do it
-
Apparently he's run out of BTCs, just in time for the 4/20 sale. :(
-
pakupaku is back in stock! get bitcoins now while they last!
new 10% fee in effect until pakupaku can acquire enough bitcoins to meet demand :/
venders, sell pakupaku your bitcoins! for a limited time we buy your bitcoins with no fees! get same price you would get at mtGox!
-
just placed an order, will see how it goes
-
Placed an order earlier, and even though it was for an amount under a 100 dollars pakupaku came through.
He charged me more than 10%, but it was so fast it was ok to have that extra bit taken out.
Thanks Pakupaku, you have a loyal customer with me now.
-
So let me get this straight.....
People pay 10% on 100.00 for coins. Then they pay around 5 to 10.00 for a greendot card?
Thats like 85% on 100.00 or 85.00 in the end.
I would never do that considering the price for a opana 40 is 80.00
Bit instant charges like 5%, so thats 95% on 100.00
The cash deposits are pretty quick and anonamous. I usually have my coin before I get home.
You think texting and driving is dangerous, try shopping silkroad via orbot and orweb on the droid.

^^why do u say that about orbot and orweb?
-
decently fast but more importantly he's one of the cheapest MPtoBTC exchangers on SR...would definitely recommend!
-
Another smooth transaction with PakuPaku!
$100 mp = 17.65 btc
All within two hours.
Thanks Paku!

Just placed my first order with Paku, a $200.00 moneypack. Will update after I recieve my coins.
-
Decided to give pakupaku a shot as well. I always like having options and if Pakupaku turns out to be a stand up guy I am sure he will do well here. Will update when I receive the coins.
-
Sickgirl is a happy girl. Pakupaku exchanged a $200.00 dollar moneypak with ease and speed. I had my coins in abut 3-4 hours, and communication was excellent. 37 coins for 200. He is my go to guy in the future for mp>btc. communication 10/10
speed 10/10
rate of exchange 10/10 can't complain, because I usually use wm-center, and the fees are a little ridiculous, and when you combine with the speed of service, I had to give a 10/10 for exchange rate.
-

Sickgirl did you do your transaction through escrow? I don't see a review finalized within the last 5 days that was not cancelled...

Yes, I went through escrow, via the 0.00 review thread. It will not let me finalize for two days, this is why I have not left any feedback.
-
Received the coins today. A little confusion as to where to provide the moneypak number, but once everything was set straight Pakupaku provided the coins very quickly. Would recommend due to his competitive rate and speed. :D

Good to hear :) I figured you would receive with no problem. He was the first exchanger I had ever used, so I was pretty happy...
-
Traded my $200 moneypak to Pakupaku for bitcoins. Followed his instructions, messaging him first for a quote, which was exactly as I expected (200 - 10% / low at mt gox live) and ordered his review listing afterwards. He said he checks his orders twice a day, so it wasn't until the next morning that I received my coins, and at the original quote, even though mt gox rate had gone up slightly. This was my first time trading for bitcoins on silkroad, and it was a pleasure.

I owed pakupaku a shot (at least i felt) from a previous attempt where i was a bit impatient.
Man am i glad I tried this new vendor out. I wanted to convert a 600MP and when he got back to me (2 hours after i sent my message) he quoted me at 117btc at the current rate. I placed the order later that evening after letting him know i was happy with the exchange rate. From that point till i had my coin i would put it right at 24 hours and he came through with 117 btc.
I was a bit confused as to where he wanted the MP code, either when i purchase the review or via PM. I included it in the encrypted order when i purchased the review listing and it worked out just fine.
By far better rate than any of the other BTC vendors. I'm going to trust him with future BTC needs and he is definately worht giving a shot.
Thanks for the swift and cordial communication Pakupaku, as well as the BTC we hold so dear.
-
Hm. I ended up sending him the # via PM about 48 hrs ago, but haven't received any response yet, even though he's apparently read the PM.
I know two days isn't necessarily a long time, but his profile claims he has a 24 hr transaction turnaround. When I first PMed him to ask for his exchange rate, he responded to me within minutes.
Is this a bad sign? Did I do something wrong? I purchased a "Pakupaku review" as well and mentioned in the address line that I'd sent him my code via PM, but offered to send again in a different way if necessary.
He's definitely been online the last two days. I'm not really sure what's up. If/when he comes through on this, I'll let you all know.
-
Phew. It was just a delay. Pakupaku messaged me, sent about half of my BTC, apologized, and is going to send some extra for stressin me out. All is well!
-
My first MP>BTC order, received my BTC in just a few hours! Quick responses to my messages, and even spotted me a bitcent to buy the BTC-review listing! Will definitely be a returning customer.
-
Gave paku the MP before I went to bed, had the btc when I woke up! Great service and a great rate too. Will definitely be returning.
-
Anyone use him recently? I'm in the same boat as bwompah sent a big MP ~48hrs ago (not including weekend) due to decent reviews and rate. no coins yet. was my first transaction, kinda nervous now. I didn't msg for a quote and to confirm coins are available first though, maybe that's why. fingers crossed that he'll come through.
-
got my btc at the listed rate. message him before you send MP in the order, that was the delay.
-
Sent pakupaku an MP number 48 hours ago and have not gotten BTC or even a message... I am quite worried. My first transaction with him took 6 hours on a Sunday, what is going on?
Edit: Getting up to 72 hours. Have not checked my MP value but I'm praying it's still loaded - is there a way to do that without customer support? Between work and the time difference I can not call their hotline during their laughable business hours.

Ordered about a day ago- no response. Just messaged him though asking whats up. If you call MP, they can give you the balance. Will do that tomorrow morning.
-
just saw on his profile that he hasn't been online in 48 hours... so this is the delay. just hope he gets back before weekend (since he doesn't check his orders then)...
-
pakupaku messaged me today and hooked it up no fees for the wait. very happy with the outcome :)
I feel bad for getting a little freaked out... but this is a trust-based system and naturally leads to uncertainty.
-
He also messaged me back about an hour ago. I have an issue. I gave pakupaku my number and he says it was spent. However, I called MP at around 2pm EST, and it said my original balance was on. Then, I called about 5 minutes ago (430pm EST) and it was spent. What happened? (I guess this goes without saying- I haven't touched the money, so this is weird.)
EDIT: Ok. I don't know what the fuck is going on. I think pakupaku is fucking with me. :(
-
this seems to be the norm. MP >BTC vendors seems to be very quick and legit for the first couple weeks after that they'll start getting real slow and selectively scamming. ( NOT SAYING PAKUPAKU IS OR ANYTHING)
just saying it seems to be happening all the time, I think im going to give bitinstant a try.
not trying to hi-jack this thread, but with bit-instant, you make the deposit and you can call them, and give them the receipt number? and you use your Mt. Gox name, once the coin goes to Mt. Gox you can send them with no fee right to your SR address? I just want to make sure i don't mess up, I've looked at a few different sites and get confused witch site does what. i think get-bitcoin is the site where you send them a pic. of your receipt, not bit-instant
yea NVM, get-bitcoin is the site you send the receipt to, i think bit-instant you just call them.. seems simple, and you don't gotta worry about a BTC vendor going rouge..
EDIT: one more quick question. vvvvv READ BELOW vvvv
*****once Bit-Instant sends the coin into your MT GOX,
All you have to do is go to >FUNDING OPTIONS > WITHDRAW FUNDS > SELECT BITCOINS >TYPE IN HOW MANY BTC TO SEND AND YOUR SR BTC ADDRESS > CLICK CONFIRM ,AND THAT'S IT? there is NO identification process that MT GOX wants you to go through? or does it SEND the BTC almost instantly after clicking confirm?**************
I AM NOT A HUGE RETARD NEWB, I have been fiddling around with mt gox/btc ect. for a few months now, I JUST WANT TO MAKE SURE I DO THIS RIGHT, YOU KNOW?
please give me a confirmation about this being correct, or please correct me if i am wrong on any part.
THANKS, YOU GUYS ARE GREAT!

-
Yeah so either pakupaku scammed me, or MP done fucked up. Will call tomorrow to see if I can see where the money went.
-
I had inquired about a moneypak a few days ago and paku informed that he was currently out. But he messaged me earlier saying that he could push it thorugh and came through within a couple of hours. Paku is a stand up guy that always helps out when he can.
-
After a full investigation by myself, it is evident that pakupaku took my money and ran.
Weds. 5/16 - I bought the MP on Weds, the 16th ($160). I went home that night, put the info through and sent an order to pakupaku.
Fri. 5/18 - Around 2pm EST (while I'm out of the house), I check the MP number. At this point the $160 is still there. I get home around 4pm EST and I see a message from pakupaku saying the money isn't there. I then call MP myself to double check, and its not there.
Back and forth pleading with pakupaku during the weekend, I call MP this morning (sun. 5/20) and see what happened. They said it went through a refund but can't tell me where.
The MP didn't refund itself and the MP has been on me or in my drawer the whole time since I bought it.
I guess you can never be too sure :(
Edit: And if anyone thinks I'm trying to scam or something... the money is gone. There is nothing I can do at this point. Just letting everybody know what happened.
-
Pakupaku very sorry about djpr2540 incident. when pakupaku check MP code, code say empty. Pakupaku not steal or scam. pakupaku here for long time.
-
Has anyone used him recently?
-
I would recommend his services to others. I had a positive experience working with him. Took less than 24 hours to complete and kept to the terms of our agreement. No problems here.

Has anyone interacted with PakuPaku in the last few days? His vendor account shows he hasn't been on for 5 days yet he has managed to cash my moneypak that i submitted Sunday night in which I have not been given coinsfor. Also his listings are down as of Tuesday evening. I'm confused and now, quite worried. Insights anyone? Thanks
