Title: GPG help
Post by: Meemz on December 22, 2011, 02:49 am
Ive got GPG set up on my mac and it asks for a passphrase. What should that be? Do others need to know my passphrase to dycrypt my text?? Im really new to all of this, A gpg on mac for dummies would be nice :? ha!
Also can someone try encrypting something or help me test it out to see if it works? Thanks

your passphrase is your personal password that you use to decrypt messages sent to you. keep it a secret

your public key is what you tell others so that they can encrypt messages so that only you can decrypt/read them
