Title: Signing for packages?
Post by: OnMyHighHorse on June 26, 2013, 05:11 pm
New buyer here and after doing my research I came away with the impression that you should NEVER sign off for a package. After browsing around a bit though it appears some vendors techniques require signature? I'm just curious if this is a complete no-no or if it's alright under certain circumstances...after all, safety IS key :).

Personally, I wouldn't deal with vendors that would require a signature. It's just less risky.

DO NOT buy from a vendor that requires yo to sign and NEVER sign for a package unless you want a buttload of legal trouble.

Yeah you really have to weigh up if you want to take the risk, I personally never use vendors that require a signature.

It's all about adequate stealth. Nobody is setting up a buyer, if somebody saw drugs or suspected them you probably wouldn't be getting your package at all.

Only you can decide if you're prepared to sign for a parcel. It's possible for the postal service to screw up and require a signature when one shouldn't be necessary. If the package has made it all the way to it's end destination, you've got to figure out if you're willing to risk signing for it.

some vendors do that, simply move along and find another seller, the great thing here on SR is that we have a lot of choices , new vendors join every day and this site keep on growing

Don't FE and never sign...why take that extra risk? as if buying illegal stuff is not enough

Dude, have all 40 of your posts been as useful as the few I've seen so far?

Pretty bad idea IMO to advise people posting questions in the newbie section of the forums to throw caution to the wind.  To make statements like "if somebody saw drugs or suspected them you probably wouldn't get your package at all' is less than useless, its  harmful.  Not sure how you can make a statement like that without having any idea what he is even buying from here.

Even ifcontrolled deliveries are rare, but that doesn't mean that the local PD in your jurisdiction won't care about an easy to get felony drug charge or two.  For that matter, even if they aren't bothering today it doens't mean that things won't change a week from now. By signing for a package, you lose a lot of the plausible deniability you may have had.  If whatever you're doing is a felony in and of itself,  that could be the difference between felony posession and felony posession + felony trafficking across state lines. Always err on the side of caution.  This site is growing at a seemingly exponential rate, and even though LE would be fighting an uphill battle trying to shut it down, it doesn't mean they're going to sit idly by while the number of illegal transactions continues to grow each month.  The vendors are safe...if they decided to try to scare people away from SR and SR-type markets, t'd be us they'd be going for.  It wouldn't be about breaking the supply chain, it'd be about PR and showing the public that it isn't safe to use these kinds of sites.

I personally wouldn't use a vendor that requires a signature for the simple reason that I know nothing about how that vendor operates.  I don't know if he's, say, currently under surveillance, or if he doesn't dispose of correspondence adequetley,  or if he is going to get busted a month down the line and hand over whatever info he has (either voluntarily or by having his shit seized).  There are people that do sign, and signing for your packages by no means spells certain doom for all who dare to.   But until you have carefully considered your particular situation and decided how much risk you're willing to take, I'd stick to vendors who don't use it.

Thank you for the lengthy post. Seems to have covered everything. This pretty much confirms my thoughts on the process. No signature from me, but good luck to those who do. :)

Can you explain how signing for the parcel would affect plausible deniability? (Provided of course, that you sign your name instead of "I know what is in the parcel")

I have signed for dozens of parcels in my name with dodgy content.

All of them, signing to take delivery of a package that isn't addressed to me. Normally in the name of a former occupant.

If you are at the stage where LEO are going to be busting you for getting something through the mail, you are probably fucked anyway- they will have enough for a warrant to enter the premises if they know that illegal substances have crossed the door whether it's signed for or not. After that, they find all the other illegal crap (bong with resin? mirror with razorblade?) and you are in trouble.

The chances of police taking such an effort over amounts small enough to fit through the letterbox is pretty negligible though. They would want the supplier, and they probably know enough to know that other than a username on SR you know as much as they do.

All illegal activities entail risk, and such risks should be minimized where possible, but when it's gotten to the point cops know if weed is getting to you then you are probably screwed regardless.

I think if a person is ever required to sign, It's a big warning sign, and the honeypot is set. DON'T EVER F/E OR SIGN.
