When signing up and using localbitcoins for the first time an email is needed.
I'm unaware as to what information is sent to the email when doing bank deposits so could anyone enlighten me if it is important to use a secure email service, that is if there is even one left?

It's not important at all. The only information that gets sent is things like "your transaction has been completed", as all orders are done in the webpage. They will give you the instructions there, and I would assume the email is only necessary if you forget your password.

As The Reverand says, it's just for Local Bitcoins to message you saying that your funds have been transferred etc. No need to worry mate.

Im not sure which fake email i used when i signed up, but ive been trading on localbitcoins with no issues and not checking the email for a couple months. just make sure your vendors feedback is good!

Thanks for the feedback guys!
If anyone has any feedback on certain BTC vendors to buy from on there feel free to share.
