Title: is there any drug screening for domestic parcels in australia?

hi i was wondering if items sent domestically in Australia are screened for drugs in any way or at any stage? thanks guys

not sure if this will help, but if it emits a strong odor or is otherwise suspicious...it could be trouble

No, domestic mail is not screened. Doesn't pass through Customs, so generally safe but as per previous posts, if an item is suspicious could be examined. There was a case recently of a dude who got busted for posting cocaine domestically to Tassie. Don't recall all the details but AustPost workers must have been suspicious enough to open item and then alert police.
