Title: weapons in the uk
Post by: ppk on January 27, 2012, 03:36 pm
I am looking to buy some guns and am interested in finding a reliable supplier, I know the uk is generally harder to get guns to than most other places, so does anyone have a reliable way to bypass this?

Hi ppk going by your nickname I'm guessing you're a fan of the Walther PPK's? :D That's a beautiful pistol to own, nice and compact to conceal.I've been trying to get one myself just and considered buying a deactivated one... then I noticed a website (modelgun) a while ago offering PPK's and a whole range of other guns that are exact replicas licensed by the original manufacturers which fire blank bullets.  These guns are so real in every detail they chamber rounds from a magazine and discharge spent rounds out the side like the real thing. I got to wondering if these guns might be converted to firing live rounds..it's hard to tell if the barrel is hollow or sealed.. Even if the barrel is hollow I'm guessing the metal used on them might not be purposely intended not to carry live rounds, so conversion might be dangerous. Be interesting to find out tho.

I'm pretty sure though these model guns are highly illegal in the UK to own now under current law and the company selling them is not UK-based but seems to give that impression and able to ship from UK or EU at least. At around £140 each for a PPK and cheap ammo its worth getting one!
