Title: Prepaid debit cards to BTC?
Post by: malkuth on March 18, 2013, 05:45 am
Just wondering (and I'm sure this has been asked before, but what the hell, if I'm gonna get to fifty posts then I need to _post_):

is it possible to buy a prepaid debit card, using cash, and redeem its value with a reputable USD-to-BTC service, like mtgox or bitcoin-24?

Thanks in advance for the help... any other tips on securely buying and spending bitcoin are much appreciated.

i wanted to to it this way myself, with prepaid cards, but as of now i have not found any btc service that offered debit cards directly.
with bitcoin-24, using liqpay this would work - but i think you'll need some sort of identification to use the service, which defeats it's purpose...
mtgox doesn't offer debit card as far as i know, but you would need identification anyway with them, so i guess they are out too
but please keep me updated should you find anything!!

dc/ccs - bitcoin is not possible. will not be any time soon. as u can buy ccs on the internet for 10€ with a 1000€+ limit. Everyone who offers that will go bankrupt very quick.
