When i depoait cash to bitinstant is there an option to have it converted to BTC or do i do it manually at mt gox?
-
choose send to email and you can coinapult it.

wtf lizard? do tell. I just did mt gox. then convert. etc. it was annoying, but seemed simple enough. of course NOW I read mt gox sucks ass. whatever, made and transfered from a random pc/network.
I'll check out coinapult.

Yea coinapult looks like the way to go. No apparent fee, but on bitinstant it asks for Acc#, Confirmation email, and Amount. Im confused if the acc# is the one coinapult asks you to deposit cash into or if its supposed to be the Mt. Gox account. As when you use coinapult by its lonesome and not through the bitinstant API it gives you a random acc# to deposit cash into and then emails that # to the email you choose to recieve thr BTC. Little confused and afraid to send money to the wrong acc.

Here's how it works
1. bitinstant.com
Payment from (cash deposit) -> Bitcoin to Email (coinapult)
Destination Acct = you@email.com (I always use tormail.org)
Amount = Your choice
Notificiation email = you@email.com
Bitinstant will ask you for a pin number. MAKE SURE YOU REMEMBER THE PIN YOU GIVE IT!! Or you won't be able to transfer out of coinapult
2. Deposit Cash
3. go home and check email address
4. Follow link in email to coinapult page. This is the page that has your coins
Enter the wallet address you want to send the coins to
enter the amount of coins to send
enter the pin number you created earlier
Coins go flying into your wallet
Things to note:
1. coinapult takes 1% fee
2. coinapult is buying at current market rate
It's my favorite way to get coins so far. 4.5% +$1 (bitinstant) + 1% on coinapult = 5.5% + $1 fee
it sucks but... easiest I've found

so with this method its not necessary to have a mt gox account?

No MTGOX account needed for this method.
