Title: Bitcoin loans for established members?
Post by: wowzers on February 11, 2012, 04:48 pm
I'm sitting on around 100BTC at the moment and I don't want to cash out yet.
I'm happy to offer loans to established forum members who need some coin.
I thought 20% interest per week would be fair to protect myself against potential losses.

Any takers?

Free market and all that, least I'm not gonna kneecap you if you rip me off  ;)

Happy to negotiate amount lended. Can give a better rate if the money will be out for less than a week.
Would prefer it if transactions were transparent- the transaction details from blockexplorer posted on here for proof.

Nothing, sorry, it's far too risky to lend to single post members  :)

But, then, the single biggest tactic used by scammers is to first rack up a whole bunch of posts. Consider folks like Chronic Smern, and a bunch of others on here. Fucking scammers all of them, racking up posts, waiting for their chance to pull some shit. Well, I am sure you know what you are doing.

20 bitcoins would be nice for me, I could make the order I wanted to about 5 days in advance, and you'd have it all paid back by Friday. But if it's going to be 20% payback I don't think it's worth it for me.

Worst case scenario is I can't pay my winter gas bill and the forum will get a giggle from the drama.

OR everyone repays on time, I pay my bills, faith in humanity is reinforced and some of the bad karma swilling round on this board gets diluted. Also I get a gram of gammagoblin's mescaline with the profit. ;D

+1, the community needs to thrive here, not wither away from people stealing piddly amounts of money from one another.  Wowzers is a godsend offering this service, why would I slap them in the face and not repay?  I am a man of my word and will repay on/before the set date. 8)

nice idea, hope everyone will pay you back. there should be a system in here to lend btc for members with good reviews.

When stuff like this works, it gives new members confidence that the community isn't full of scamming charlatans. I believe new members are less likely to try petty rip-offs if they see the community as a whole is trusting and trustworthy.

larsson72- 13 BTC lent. 15% p/w interest. Repayable Mon 20th.
