Title: Most visually stunning/trippy movies?
Post by: anonlsd on June 20, 2013, 03:20 am
So far my favorite is Enter the Void. Watched it on 5 hits of lsd and blew my mind, especially the scenes where it would zoom in on the flashing lights. Any others?

I know this is in no way drug related, but Life of Pi was awesome to watch. The scenes with the stars are mesmerizing. And the whole thing is set in the fucking ocean so it's just awesome.

Cool, I'm likely taking peyote this weekend so maybe I'll watch it then, I've definitely heard good things about it.

I don't really watch a whole lot of movies.... but offhand, I'd say Pink Floyd's "The Wall".

On second thought... it's entirely possible that "Rocky Horror Picture Show" might be.  Although I really couldn't tell you much about it other than the fact that back in my college days, some friends and I went to see it without fail each and every Saturday night for like a whole summer... maybe longer.  We brought all the required..... stuff...  don't really remember now what all that was other than rice, salt and...   um..  well, stuff.  I certainly don't have a clue what the movie itself was about but I do know that we were tripping every time we saw it...  and the words, "Dammit Janet" still stick in my head.....

The Wizard of Oz is my favorite movie :) when I was young, I had a Wizard of Oz themed birthday party complete with a scarecrow-stuffing contest

The Wizard Of Oz

Yep!  Especially when played with the soundtrack of Dark Side of the Moon...  although it's a pretty movie with it's own soundtrack too....

Try the movie Dredd from 2012...the genre is not spectacular but the slow-motion scenes when others are tripping are!

Agreed, would be a great movie to trip to, once past the slow beginning that is. For a really mindblowing, perspective inducing experience check out "Le Fantastic Planet" absolutely amazing.

Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence !!!

It's a anime/CG sequal to one of the greatest anime movies of all time Ghost in the Shell. Ghost in the Shell 2 has amazing visuals and a very trippy story! One issue is that it's in Japanese and subtitles in English. That's fine however because you just turn the TV volume down and put on some of your favorite music to compliment the experience.

When we use to trip a lot with my boys I would do Kung Fu Hip Hop night. I'd take some of my favorite Kung Fu flicks put them on the TV with the volume off and play some of my favorite hip hop. Kung Fu and Hip Hop go great together! Especially if you use some oldschool Wu Tang!
Peace!!!
