It has been a little while since I have placed an order, now I see that bitinstant is down. I'm not really interested in buying locally. Are their any other options that are as easy as bitinstant?
-
Localbitcoins.com is a cake walk and you can get your coins sometimes in minutes if you find the right seller who is online.
Good luck

Also I have never had a problem on that site and it has never taken more than 2hrs to get the coins.

PLEASE USE LOCALBITCOINS. I've tried multiple sources and localbitcoins is the only consistent thing.
-
In Canada there is one company (canadianbitcoins.com) which allows cash through Xpresspost. I sent the cash with tracking and required a signature and it only took about 3 business days and it was in my account no problems at all. Not sure, but I assume there are companies that offer a similar service in other countries.

I'm just wondering what's keeping the seller from just keeping your money. Their rating?
-
The coins go into escrow like SR and when you make the payment the seller releases the coins to you but if he doesn't you will have the details about the payment being made but all this aside the guys with 100% on there don't mess about in my experience.
You can try Dmtrik on there if you're in the UK. Never had a problem with him and he has never let anyone down thus far.

Try the site out with a small amount first and you will be happy at how quick and professional the 100% sellers are.

Shake I used MoneyHoney under the money section. Bought Vanilla card (anonymous) and did the deal. It's always a gamble, but I checked the reviews and took the chance. there percentage is high but seeing what people were charging on Localinstant not killing me but close to their rate. Was quick easy and money straight into my account, already on the road. I JUST WISH BITINSTANT WAS BACK UP!!! Sorry just frustrated with them. Thats the was the way to go!
-
localBTC.com is the only way to go i have used this guy a bunch of times and the turn-around time is phenomenal...it takes only as long as it takes you to go to your local bank whether it be Bank of America, Wells Fargo, or Chase.
https://localbitcoins.com/ad/23848/purchase-bitcoin-cash-deposit-chase-bofa-wells-fargo-instant-release-united-states
definitely the fastest way to travel.
good luck!
Looks good. I like this vendor. Thanks.
-
definitley roll with LBC, it is by far the best method i and many people have tried, find the right vendor, ive had them in less than 10 minutes in my wallet. i hope this method lasts forever!
-
Ive used moneyhoney three times now and have gotten my funds everytime I think the percentage is worth it for the stealth. I just research them before every transaction just to make sure they aint went rogue as long as u do your research you can find some legit vendors on SR.

www.Bitcoin-brokers.org
Cash deposits at either Bank of America, Chase, Wells Fargo, Citibank.
Bitcoin received the same day.
Doesn't get any easier than this.
I personally can't stand localbitcoins.com...maybe I was just unlucky but sitting around waiting to meet a dude who has no respect for my personal time just ticks me off.
Bitcoin-Brokers doesn't make you wait around for the second party. The second party is a bank teller who wears perfume, smiles at me and is ALWAYS there waiting for me instead of me waiting.

cashintocoins.com is pretty great. The guy who runs it is really friendly and responds to emails really quickly. They've been a little strained by the increased demand since bitinstant died so he runs out of BTC before the end of the day sometimes but he's super reliable.
To get BTC you make a cash deposit either at Wells Fargo or Chase. Then you take the receipt from that deposit, write the date, your order number and the amount deposited on the receipt, take a picture of it and email the picture to the guy with the wallet address you want to send the BTC to. Usually, the coins show up in my account within a few hours. The longest I've had to wait was until the end of the day once when he was really overwhelmed. The main plus to using cashintocoins is how awesome the customer service is.
There's also BTCquick.com. You do have to verify your identity by uploading a picture of a photo ID. You can use credit or debit and it actually is pretty much instant after you get verified.

I usually use Intersango.
-
Thanks everyone for the suggestions. Seems like I'll still be able to get the Bitcoin fairly easy, even without bitinstant. Still can't wait till BitInstant comes back up, though.

LOCALBITCOINS SO FAR HAS BEEN GREAT
-
Can you jus walk into any WellsFargo Bank and buy BTC ? or does it have to be certain ones ?

It's certainly not as plain as you explain it to be. You have to set up the order through one of the companies on localbitcoins.com to get account info. Once they send it to you, you have a certain amount of time to get to a WellsFargo Bank and you deposit your cash into their bank account. Once you verify the successful transaction, they will send your bitcoins. However, watch their rules, most don't want to hear that you even talked about bitcoins near the bank.
-
I have a wellsfargo bank 2 blocks from me and figured it would be easier then driving 45 min to meet a guy that sells them.
-
It is infinitely easier.
Especially because some of the people who sell coins on there have a ridiculous pricing just because it's a hard market with some of the major services down.
-
I tried to use local bitcoins but the vendor never showed up... MtGox was asking for to many papers in my opinion, so I went with bitcoin.de. I had to wait for two weeks before being able to withdraw anything but it went smooth and fast.
-
LocalBitcoins, It offers the option of In person meets , Bank transfers by walking into the ban with cash and bank transfers digital.
Theres plenty of ways to be anonymous.
;)
-
Localbitcoins and buybitcoin seem to be great ideas.
I've tried localbitcoins was great for my transactions.
I have also enjoyed bitinstant, and I'm sure the forums will be hailing when it is finally back up.
-
LocalBitcoins is really good. :)
-
If you're in the UK I'm pretty good to buy bitcoins off if I'm online. Will take as long as walking to your local shop to get the Ukash voucher.
Coins transferred straight to your SR account. Completely anonymous.
Local bitcoins is also good, use the online options like bank deposit :)

I went to LocalBitcoin but there seems like there are no sellers in my area... could anyone elaborate on how I could get Bitcoins now?
-

I live in the US, still there seems to be no bitcoin sellers on my area... I'd have to drive 200+ miles to be able to get to one. I used BitInstant before and it was a great service... don't really understand why they had to go down for so long but whatever.
-
i have bought from btc boss he has been very fast and honest seller , sales were almost instant with a vanilla card, also takes western union but thats a big pain and fees are high { on wu end}

Can you use international transfer, like SEPA in EU or not?

I think making an international transfer would make things much more difficult than I want them to be, guess I got spoiled by BitInstant... I found a guy that accepts cash deposits so I might as well and try that next time I'm getting Bitcoins... thanks for trying to help anyways! :) I'm very obviously new to this but my ignorance won't stop me from enjoying the services the SR offers :)

On the local bitcoin website there are Online sellers.
-
Thx for the links guys
-
LocalBitcoins has an online option for those who don't want to meet anyone in person. You can usually do a local bank deposit and get your coins that way.
-
Localbitcoins.com or money pack just be vey careful with MP

I have used btcquick a few times without issue.
I have an issue now, and that is that they currently have 0 BTC in stock, and I really need just a smidge to make an order before the special is over.
waah and such
