If you're a new buyer and the vendor is trusted then yes FE.

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO no one should FE ever find some one who doesn't require it. There have been trusted sellers who have become scammers.

If it's your first order ya you will likely be asked to FE, so chose a trusted seller and within the domestic vendor if possible for your DOC, so there is minimal wait between order and arrival. But maybe ask for a dcn too if they want FE that way it's a 2 way street. But order small so that if you do take a loss its not big. But a better bet would be to look for vendors who don't require you to FE. There are some out there also try buying digital goods to get your amount of purchases up.

Never.

Never mind if they've got good reviews, it's easy to create cheerleaders on an anonymous forum.

NEVER FE!!!!(thanks tony) There are vendors that dont require new buyers to fe if you upgrade to shipping with DCN. I would recommend that you build up your rep like that... as soon as you fe you are at the mercy of the vendor.  some are honest some are not and if someone decides to rip you off, there is just about nothing you can do about it except posting here which will be seen as trolling if you have a low post count....

FE is really a decision you have to make.

If it's less than 100 dollars, chances are very few vendors will scam you. Their accounts cost more than this, and one 0/5 hurts them, especially if it says they scammed.

Many trusted vendors want FE from new people, understandably since newcomers=higher risk of scam. I would do a few smaller orders FE until you can work your way up to escrowing big amount.
