Title: Bitcoin exchanges - Please help advice ?!?
Post by: latitude05 on May 18, 2013, 03:06 am
So i use to be on MTGOX till all the crap went down with Dwolla.

I started an account on CAMPBX.com which is a good service - HOWEVER THE PRICE of bitcoin on the exchange is around $5-6  lower than MTGOX ,

Why is this ?
Is there any other exchanges anyone can recommend that is no in line with MTGOX ?
If I use MTGOX and need money out , can I still wire money out of it because Dawolla is down ???

Please help appreciate it not sure what else I can do

Not sure why you would worry if you lose a few bucks on the front end only to make it up later when the value increases while it's sitting in your wallet (been the case for me).

Yes, you can but why do you need this if you are going with CampBX.  Oh, and you can make instant transfers with Dwolla at CampBX because they're stateside.  I have also used the other BTC start-up, Coinbase.  Now that was a fucked up transaction.  After tying a checking acct to your Coinbase acct., you buy 10 coin at market value when you tell them to make the transaction (before they even have your cash).  Unfortunately, my purchase was at one of the spikes so by the time the coins actually became available, I lost about $350.  I do other things with BTC so I really don't hide my identity from the various services.  I have used them all and have accounts at them all.

Campbx values the coin very low compared to Coinbase.

I like coinbase but when I sold a coin they automatically took the money to my account and charged me a fee for it as well as selling . I dont understand that ??? I was selling them to have money in my account to hopefully buy again when the coin was lower , is this possible ?

Also , I opened an account put coin in it and linked it to my checking and they didn't make me buy 10 coins , thats weird .

MTGox was easy and fees were low wish they could be back up with dawolla oh well .
