Title: USPS distribution/sorting centers on Christmas
Post by: namuld on December 24, 2012, 08:49 pm
I haven't been able to find any info on it, but do the USPS distribution/sorting/customs centers work on Christmas day? I understand the front end offices are all closed but would they still be moving packages to their destinations?

I cant either and Im really worried because the vendor said my package should be here before christmas, but its not here. Hoping its delays or they are just not working, but it would be nice to have some insite to this. Pretty sure ive seen some post truck on the road on christmas eve and day before though, so i think the truck and maybe planes are still working.

Sorting centers will still be operating, not at full capacity tho. Gov employees gotta make that holiday/overtime pay somehow!
