Title: BTC dollar worth plumetting
Post by: Fartface on February 15, 2012, 02:31 am
For the past few days, I have been watching the dollar amount in my account fall.  Sometimes it has happened at a rate of a dollar during a browsing session.  This is seriously screwing my ability to make purchases as I am fairly poor.  why is there such a drop in coin worth as of late? WHAT GIVES?

tradehill covered about 25% of the market.  they shut down.  if they open up their new site, its poissible the prices will rise again

^ yea, i learned from that when btc dropped a whole dollar value, not USD value, but BTC dollar.

As a rule I never buy btc unless I'm going to purchase that very second. and I always send over $20 more than what the item is cost.

Get in and get out.

BTC is like an unregulated stock market..

does this mean if I talk to Gawker about when they're releasing the next SR article I have to go to jail for insider-trading?

I'm glad I only had 10 bitcoins in my wallet. But yes, I will be buying bitcoins as the price has lowered.

Yea, I deposited a bit in MtGox and fortunately I just had it sitting there as cash or I woulda got hit hard.

I bought in a small chunk though at $4.65 so here's to hoping it climbs back up to where it was...

transfering extra $ into mt. gox so I can buy when/if the price drops even more. I did lose about $30 having BTC in SR waiting on a seller to put up a listing..
