Title: anonymous us domestic money transmission
Post by: anom on August 26, 2013, 08:53 am
Im looking for the easiest way to receive money (from a few hundred dollars up to a few thousand, all below $5K) across the country.  The sender is a well known associate, so the anonymity is only to avoid flags, not to protect my identity from the sender.  I know that this is small time and I may be exercising excessive caution, but in my opinion there is no such thing as excessive caution.

My only ideas have been sender sets up a bank account and sends me an ATM card.  I hit up an ATM and withdraw cash. or Western Union (not sure on the specifics for this method.  I believe there is a cap on the amount that can be sent without requiring ID)

Any advice/help on the topic would be extremely appreciated.  Feel free to PM if deemed necessary.

Also, cash in mail isnt an option for undisclosed reasons.

Thanks

Prepaid debit cards / Visa Gift cards
Moneypak
Cash in the mail

I would stay away from banks due to KYC (Know Your Customer) laws.

Why are u asking on a bitcoin site how to transfer money anonymously?
I asked a question on anonymity and you want me to divulge details.  Why do (yo)u care?

PS - bitcoin is a type of currency. there is no such thing as a "bitcoin site"

Bitcoin transfers are NOT anonymous... This article actually touches on people transferring funds directly from MT.Gox to silk road can in fact be tracked.
