Title: Ordering to a hotel - real or fake name?
Post by: narkiz1 on March 05, 2013, 01:47 pm
So I wanna make an order to a hotel that im going to be staying it, im just wondering whether it would be better to use a real of fake name? I assume theyd check for ID but I thought if I just said it was sent under my middle name/maiden name etc it would be ok? Would it make any difference either way using a real or fake name in this situation?

People who order from hotels I assume would do so for anonymity.  This means they would have a fake ID or know an individual at the desk who would accidentally forget to copy or look at their ID.  The desk clerk would accidentally write down the wrong name when putting it into the database.

Since it seems there will be no anonymity here...  It does not matter.  Things happen, life is not perfect.  Sometimes there are delays.  I am sure you thought of it all though.  Anyhow, as mentioned using a pseudonym/maiden name in this case will not provide any stronger 'cover'/anonymity.
