You can go to clearnet sites through TOR with SR open just dont go to one that can be traced to you email, facebook, twitter etcnever use TOR for these with or without SR open
As for having firefox open at the same time they are a pretty good company who are standing against the NSA's record everybloodything program I wouldnt worry about it especially if you are running windows or mac os as they record everything you do on your computer and send it to the powers that be

I think the only no no is going on a clearnet site that gives away your id ON TOR while ON SR. If its on a clearnet browser than you are fine to do both at the same. That has been my understanding i think im might be wrong about the first time.

You're fine. Like everyone else said, don't log into personal accounts on Tor, but you're fine doing what you like on your regular browser.

Do your regular/personal browsing on your regular connection.
Do your shady browsing on your Tor connection.
Never open links you got from Tor browsing outside of Tor unless you know it's both benign and the URL is likely highly trafficked.
Consider moving your Tor behavior onto something like Tails rather than as an application on your personal computer.
Make sure your Tor personae and your regular personae are appreciably different in character and behavior patterns.
Never, ever FE.
