Hi,
I've just installed Tails, and all is seemingly good in the world. However, when I entered the URL for silkroad, it came up with a message saying something along the lines of "The website you are visiting is not encrypted. This may make it easy for people to see what your doing. Do you wish to continue?"
Does anyone know why it would say this? Sorry-- I'd post in security but I'm still under 50 posts...
Thanks

Traffic across Tor is encrypted, regardless of the notification. If you are using Tor, you can't visit a hidden service (.onion) without it being encrypted. No need to worry!

Good stuff, thanks.
I've spent today upping my security, and there's so much to learn lol.

Can anyone tell me how to add a new public key with tails please? I've managed to import my existing public keys from an SD card, but I have no idea how to add a new public key i.e for a new vendor...
Thanks

On the top right of the screen when using TAILS you should see an option to select "OpenPGP Encryption Applet." If you open that and select "manage keys" the program opens and shows all your keys, under the "My personal keys" or "other keys" tabs.
To import a new key, click "file" then "import." Select the key and import it. If you don't have a file, but just the text of the public key, then make the file. Just make a new text file and paste the text in, then save it as a .asc file. Then import. Should work fine.
