Title: Ordered prescription med from India to West of EU
Post by: hirperp on May 24, 2012, 11:15 am
Received letter from medicines board saying this product is illegal to import! They say "you are requested within two weeks to state the sales outlet and how I became aware of it"

What would you think,
Thanks

Tell them it's Sears.  They contacted you via telegram.

In all seriousness - ignore it.  Don't reply, as that would be an admission to guilt.

Safest bet would be to ignore it, and quit ordering to that address for a while.
For 2 weeks look for an another address if you do need so, and see what the fuck happens.

You basically have two options available:

- do not respond at all

- respond stating you have no idea what it could be about

The latter option is sometimes preferable. It depends on the exact country you are in, but you can always deny you ordered any such product and want it to be dealt with accordingly. Provided a valid return address was provided, this should mostly return the shipment to whomever sent it.
