Hi guys, i have an outdoor crop growing at a friends property, and after just returning from there, i noticed i had one male plant, so i quickly bagged it before moving it,
and re-located it to a far side of the property well away from the others. I want to keep it for i'd love to get seeds from it. The plants are grown from imported seeds.
I was pissed because it was my biggest plant, and it turned male on my, i was not happy.
Anyway, my question is this, is re-locating ok, or should i just remove it all together in caese it pollinates my females?
How far can pollen travel? There is a lot of vegetation between the females and the male, the male is well away...but still..will my girls be safe? :P

Should you cull it? Yes. How far can pollen travel? Miles. Will your girls be safe? I can't tell you for sure unless you cull it.
Perhaps look into selective pollination for a couple seeds. Can you harvest some pollen safely? You may be able to pollinate a single branch on a selected (your best) female and have a bunch of seeds for next year without fearing a fully seeded crop.

Thats a good idea thanks Cali.
Instead of culling it, i will relocate it instead. I think i over fed it which i heard can turn a plant male. ???
Scary about pollen being able to travel for miles...just hope no one is growing near by... :o
