Title: I accidentally ate Zyprexa 5mg
Post by: 429 on December 20, 2012, 05:27 pm
Does it cause any long-term, permanent damage if used just once? I feel that I can't function nearly as well as usually :'( Doctor wrote me recipe for these drugs... fucks sake! Reason was "nervousness" seriously, fuck off... doctors just want to give meds for even smallest things because pharmaceutical company gives money for doctors writing recipes for these!

Zpyrexa can cause irreversible movement disorders and in some rare cases can be life threatening, however you only took a single 5 mg dose (which is pretty low) so I wouldn't worry too much.

The drug is most commonly prescribed for psychosis.  That is hallucinations, paranoia, and delusions.  I personally would not take it unless I was having severe psychotic symptoms.  Sometimes it is prescribed in low doses for less severe symptoms -- if you go to a doctor and complain of something, they're going to try to give you drugs to to help you out.  I think they assume this is why you're seeing them.
