Title: What to do when you're shorted?
Post by: bernlin on September 20, 2012, 02:59 am
I recently bought some edibles from a seller (won't say who for now) and only got part of the amount I ordered (paid for 11 units, got 9). I've been trying to communicate with the seller ever since I placed the order last Friday (specifying the flavors I wanted) and never got a response, and they never read my messages either. I messaged him asking if he could send the last 2 units, but what should I do if he fails to respond? I wasn't sure if this is something that the resolution option would apply toward.

I don't think there's any hard and fast rules, really. If the product was of higher quality then expected or the price lower, then I'd say just let them know whats up via pm and they'll hopefully make it up on the next order.

I really wouldnt worry but would let him know he was short. Ask for a top up on the next order from him.

Don't plan to be a repeat customer: his communication skills have been nonexistent and he doesn't comment on the forums.  It's about 20% of my order: I think if it was less than that (say 10%) I would just leave a less satisfied review and leave it at that. But I paid for that stuff!

Yeah and ideally you would get it, but shit does happen. It could have been an honest mistake. How would you describe the quality (for the price)?

I actually enjoy the quality: it was hash candies (vendor is starservice, btw) and they definitely pack a punch. At only about a quarter bitcoin  (0.25) per candy, it was fairly cheap too. I just wish I got the amount I ordered...I can't give a good review when the vendor doesn't know how to count :-/

The frustration isn't that I was shorted though: it's that I've sent him 2 messages in the past 4 days regarding my order and neither one has been either read or responded to. With no mention of being overwhelmed by orders (and other reviewers saying they had contact with the vendor throughout their problems) I'm scratching my head...and right now it seems like asking for a partial refund (of the amount that wasn't sent) is the best option. He doesn't have anything listed anymore so I don't know if he'll be back to sell more. I'd probably want more, if he could get a bit more organized and communicated effectively, but right now I couldn't imagine buying from him again.

You should get what you pay for.

I think it is fair to give him a chance to respond and make things right. It appears that you have made that attempt and should now proceed with the resolution process. Informing other customers of your experience is also helpful to the community. You buyers are the ones keeping the vendors honest, so do that. It is more important then the two lost quarters.

I haven't ordered from him, but it seems like Delta11 is a highly respected edibles vendor. His soda pops sound intriguing.

Yeah, I think I'll give him one more day, then finalize with a bad review...rather not have my purchasing stats impacted by 6 dollars worth of merchandise (that's the amount I was shorted). I definitely want to buy from Delta11, but I was particularly interested in candies after having bad experiences with brownies (sure they were mine, and made from vaped weed, but still...needed a break lol) i.e. tasted terrible. SolidRain also sells candy edibles, and he's well reviewed. If starservice had a 93 rating when I ordered from him, it would have never happened...it dropped from 100 to 93 the day I received my order. Still don't know why, lol.
