Title: HOW MANY OF YOU USE A BRIDGE?
Post by: pitbully2000 on June 20, 2013, 06:04 am
Just doing some cleaning and wondering how well, how difficult and how necessary it really is.
Had a recent scare, and that ALWAYS makes one re evaluate! :)

That is bad for your anonymity you should keep your bridges for as long as possible.

You probably should, you can use the obfsproxy bundle which is already setup to automatically use obfsproxy bridges:

https://www.torproject.org/projects/obfsproxy.html.en

This way your ISP won't be able to see that you're using Tor.
Which as a vendor could be used against you if they find out your general location by ordering a package from you and then requesting a list of all Tor users in your area.

Did it as soon as I read this thread. Anything else I should know?

Thanks, beep

A question to kmfkewm or astor:

Is it possible to use bridges - along obsfproxy? - on a Whonix VM (I tried to find out how to do it but alas I failed for now) and it is good to do so or not?

Thanks in advance.
