Title: Do any of you launder coins?
Post by: dudeee on May 27, 2012, 01:45 pm
I have a guy in a legit casino that makes them look like winning for a really low fee, I was wondering is it really necessary? Or am I just being paranoid? I rather pay the small fee and sleep loudly at night.

Just to clarify what we do is I "wager" with them and receive them back as coins with the casino backing me up as if I won them.

Bigger gun as in how big? I think any decent amount of money (+5k a month) is bound to attract SOME attention, wouldn't some people get curious as to where you get that money from?

Of course you could just say you make a profit from currency trading but that would be a very very complicated lie. My method seems to work way better and of course I can even tell my family where all that money comes from.

If you are making 5k a month in BTC  then you definitely need to launder your coins. I'd say your casino method is a good move but how long can you do it before it doesn't really seem like plausible deniability?

This is not hard people.. Go to www.coinabul.com and buy gold.

BTC into a very negotiable asset without ever touching the banking system at any point.

Once it's hard metal you hang onto it or sell it as your needs dictate. No AML, no SARs, because you are swapping commodity for a commodity.

Thats a good idea, as long as your willing to lose money on the spread both ways.   I guess that's a decision only you can make.

What's the price of gold likely to do in the next 2 years? How long will it take to erase that "spread" in "investment gains" from holding the metal?

What value does one attach to being able to cash out without resorting to a bank, and being able to hold the value in an asset that has basically never gone down in value long term?

If you love fiat.. this is not the way to go. If you fear fiat.. it's awesome. If you don't understand fiat.. but do fear government/LE.. it's an excellent option.

But that still doesn't launder the coins because there is no answer to the question "How you got all that gold?" whereas I am provided with an answer, I can always just say that I have my own betting strategy etc

I was talking about USD.

It doesn't necessarily clean your money but the commodity can then be traded for fiat currency which can be reinvested to legitimate formations. No details are needed to go into. I'm by no means an expert on this subject but can come up with a few ideas to use for myself which a relatively plausible legitimate incomes.

Dank

98% of sports bettors are losers long term...
and other 2% are professional bettors who are mathematicians who find an edge based on EV and bet accordingly.
100% of gamblers playing table games are losers long term, games have a built in edge for the house.

there is no betting strategy that is successful long term.
good luck convincing anyone with a clue about gambling that you're clearing 5K profit from betting without at least a 5 million bankroll and advances knowledge of math, probabilty, expected value. etc...
