Title: BigUnit - Scammed me out of money
Post by: AgentSmith on November 12, 2011, 12:59 pm
I've been buying from him for awhile now with no problems.  Adderall.  Product always came as described, in good condition, packaged well, and shipped relatively quickly.

The problem began when he started requesting his "trusted buyers" go out of escrow.  I did this for him a couple of times without issue.  However, recently I made a purchase, finalized the order (on trust), and then the shipment became lost in transit.  I would later receive this shipment and find out that it had been addressed to the wrong zipcode.

However, while this shipment was in transit, I made another purchase.  Shortly thereafter I received the first shipment, reply to his message requesting finalization (of the second order, the only one not yet finalized) and let him know about the addressing order.  I asked that he be sure to address the current shipment correctly.  A day or so went by and I checked my messages only to see that he "doesn't understand what I'm talking about, I only had the one shipment."

I went back and forth via message once or twice, he said it wouldn't be a problem since I was the first person to ever purchase from him on the site and a good/trusted customer (which is accurate), but then the messages stopped, I've received no refund, no product, and no communication for over 2 weeks.

He has scammed me out of nearly $200.

Be very wary if you use this buyer and absolutely DO NOT go out of escrow.  He will screw you.

absolutely DO NOT go out of escrow.

There you go.  ;)

I wish people wouldn't enable scammers...if you feel that you must gamble with your money in order to save a small % of the order, at least do it with trusted vendors...people who have been here a while with many happy customers.

Quite right.  I feel stupid.  TBH, that much money really isn't a big deal to me, it's more the principle of the matter.  This is a community dedicated to enforcing certain individual freedoms and as such, anonymity becomes necessary.  However, sellers like this guy completely undermine the process and -- in a manner of speaking -- they screw everyone.

Update:

I messaged him to let him know that I thought it was pretty shitty to treat his (first) regular buyer this way, and to let him know that I'd be making the community aware of his moral ineptitude.  I received no response.

Pretty clear what happened here.

I placed an order with him before Thanksgiving, and finalized early out of ignorance..did not read the instructions fully, am new & thought I had to finalize to get the shipping process started. I never received anything, he assured me he sent it - first he said he shipped it a few days after Thanksgiving, then in a later message assured me he got shipping received confirmation "a few days after Thanksgiving" & destroyed everything for our protection. Wow - instant mail. He assures me that he would notice the pills on his desk if he had not sent them. Either he is a scam now, or he is so disorganized he doesn't know who or where he ships to. I have a real simple address, so a screw up there would be pretty tough. He did offer me a new order at 50% off, but I'm not sure if I want to throw good money after bad. The phone company, cable guys, etc., their mail never gets lost or sent to the wrong box, but it sure seems to happen on here a lot if an order is finalized early.
