Title: Is there a way to check for viruses on Linux Mint?
Post by: vanmachine on August 16, 2013, 12:47 pm
I got a problem with my comupter which is that it at random times click some things repeatedly (when I open terminal I get a row of "^[OR^[OR^[OR..." to start with). I believe that it most likely is spilled coffee in my keyboard which is the cause.

I tried to activate the "Only accept long clicks" (translation, since I do not have english as default language) thing on my keyboard settings since it seems like the ^[OR thing is done very rapidly. It didn't stop with this so I wonder if a virus might be the cause.

I'm going to try to remove my harddisk and run lubuntu from a live-cd and if I still get this problem it most likely isn't a virus, but a hardware problem. If it is a virus it would be intresting to capture it and find out what it does.
