I can't seem to make deposits into my account using mywallet. A few days ago there was an option to deposit using sofort banking, but now there are no options. Has anyone else encountered this?

They have stopped UK deposits. I can supply bitcoins for cash in post. My vendor account is in my sig below. Also check the forum threads for feedback on my service :)

Don't you take bank transfers or money orders or anything like that?

I used this method, best I have found.

If you are buying from UK via transferwise, it's the one you want.

OK, I think I understand that part. I am, however, having trouble with transferwise. It says I need to transfer money into it but it doesn't give me an option as to where I can send that money from. Surely I need to get the details of the transferwise account and then transfer the money from my regular bank account to the transferwise account? Am I basically sending money to myself, from my own bank account, but sending it through transferwise so it changes currency? And if that's the case, where does the money go to? If I have euros, surely I can't put them back into my UK account since the money is in euros and not pounds? I'm just really, really confused and I'm sorry to ask so many questions!

WATCH OUT VOLATILITY...

Do you have your bitstamp account set up yet?
Bitstamp will give you the details and the payment reference you need.
Go to transferwise > account > make a payment
for recipient, put the details bitstamp have given you. On the left of the page, put how many £ you want to send. Transferwise automatically converts it to EURO.
Click "accept terms and create payment". On the next page they will give you their UK bank details and a payment reference. Use those details to set up a one-off bank transfer either via your online banking or buy going into the branch.
When they receive your payment, they will email you to let you know they they have forwarded the money to bitstamp.

You don't need to worry about volatility. You are using this method to"load up" your bitstamp account with EUROs. When you feel BTC is at the right price, that's when you trade.
