HEY there fellow roaders I'm new to the forum but not new to SR but now I have a problem and need to ask the sr community for help. so in the year that I have been buying on the road I have had 73 flawless transactions until now. I placed an order for a sample with sammyjankis and today I get a call from one of my drops saying they got a letter and an empty package from USPS and USPIS notifying them that there package was being held by the USPIS because of the controlled substance act and it pretty much said they have tried to contact the sender but were not able to and that if they wanted to go claim their package they could call the USPIS in Denver. WTF? this is a first for me and my people want to know what if anything will happen to them? oh and they said they had to sign for the empty envelope.

Greetings Dave :+)
Lets analyze this.
Empty box ,official letter ? ,had to sign, come pick up goods.
Seems to me like something you might want to stay away from, especially
If the letter looks gov. official and the empty box was delivered by a real postman.
All things considered your luck so far has been good.
Think everything thru completely and make a logical choice.
Good Luck

thats shitty,
what was in the package????
-
Stay calm and live in the now
-
got the same exact letter
no package
just the letter from Denver USPIS
ordered from s-sally
-
Depends what you had ordered like vagina pain said
-
any good pussy about?
-
Is this what they refer to as a "love letter?" I heard Colorado is now considered a drug state and the postal inspectors are stepping their game up as far as stuff leaving Colorado.
-
only ordered about 1/2 ounce of weed

only ordered about 1/2 ounce of weed
That quantity is probably the reason why you're free right now. There might be a few states where that's a felony amount but usually it's either a misdemeanor or a ticket in most states and it's just simply not worth the time and effort for them to go after you.
However, do what you want, but your address is probably finished. Get a new one or call it quits on here.

Im calling it quits, no other choice. :(

To the OP it's too bad after all those transactions you only have a couple of forum posts. I'd really like to see this thread over in the "shipping" section as it is important to get this type of information out there. Instead it'll quickly fall into the Newbie discussion abyss I'm afraid :-[
-
Got the same letter today. This was a half ounce of weed. Looks like they're cracking down in Colorado. Be careful.

If there's one state I refuse to order from it's Colorado. I've seen a vendor (unwisely) state in their profile they're in Colorado and while it's not smart I'm actually glad they did because I know to avoid them. The recent changes in the law have made Colorado a hotbed of cannabis shipping activity the USPS knows this. I read an article about how Colorado postal inspectors have already taken extra steps to monitor their outgoing mail. And unfortunately we're now seeing the fruits of their labor come to be >:(
-
Hey :) Sounds like you got lucky! Place enough orders and eventually one is going to get intercepted. You were smart enough to have a layer of security buffering you and it paid off. The people at the drop just need to play dumb if any further contact from leo, obviously no clear evidence of wrongdoing or they'd have had a swat team visit not a friendly letter.
-
I'm going to post a link to this thread over on the shipping section so people know what's up
-
Personally, I would stay away. Sounds like a setup.
-
any good pussy about?
-
Any chance a MOD could move this topic to the "Shipping" forum?
-
I'd just let it go. I remember getting a very similar letter once when importing 100g of DXM, and when I plucked up the courage to follow up (DXM wasn't controlled then) it turned out they just wanted me to pay the import tax. Didn't even ask about my cough or anything.
These days, your lucky to get a letter - it just doesn't turn up. Bet postal service christmas parties are a sight to behold.

Unless they are lying, the USPS is supposed to "destroy" the package after 30 days. I am not sure what "destroy" means to them.
-
got the same exact letter
ordered from s-sally
Do we have a count on the total number of letters out of Denver over the past couple of days?
Which vendors are involved? I saw "s-sally" mentioned, but don't see the vendor. Sherdang - what vendor did you order from?
-
i was kinda thinking maybe the vendor could be sending no product and priting up official looking gov letters Knowing they wont come pick it up..

Same one. SativaSally.

I really don't think so. This was a vendor with a long, good Silk Road history, and the letter was mailed with an official USPS permit instead of a stamp.
-
damn, 3 people saying that their shit got seized in just one day. so far I had about 8 transactions to the US, all from europe and non got seized. but the last one was also already 3 month ago. am i just really lucky so far or did US costums step up their game lately?

Do you know what US customs is? These people are talking about DOMESTIC orders within the US. They do not even go through US customs.
-
that makes it even worse... i thought domestic was the safest thing on earth... where the hell would they check that mail on the way...

The vendor in question (SativaSally) used a real address with a FAKE BUSINESS NAME that was NOT LOCATED at that address. All the Postal Inspector had to do was look up that address and see that the business names did NOT match. This is what I believe happened. The vendor had great stealth on the inside of the package (so I do not think these were picked out by drug dogs) but eventually using fictitious business names will catch up to you.

Thurgood in Colorado was doing the same exact thing and he had five of these letters last month. He was using random houses that were for rent and fake business names.
-
Yeah, always best to use real return addresses.
A couple of vendors I've used have made their deliveries look like they are from real world businesses - much easier then to slip through the proverbial net.
For obvious reasons I'm not going to give more details...

Is he still selling on SR?

No. He lost his vending privileges for doing transactions out of escrow.
-
Thurgood was also sketchy and asked his customers to FE on large transactions so he could then take that FE money and go buy the weed to send to you. I would never ever give my money to a vendor like that.
VENDORS, ESPECIALLY ones in MJ source states need to take this as a WARNING and STEP UP their STEALTH!
-
I was reluctant to order off vendors from Colorado or California before, and I'm even more scared now. The last order I made, I didn't know where they were located, except that they were "domestic" to the USA. Luckily it didn't come from either of those two states.
I've also heard that Washington state is under watch. Hell, how long before the number of states under watch exceed the number of states not under watch?

Well weed has been coming out of California heavily for about a couple decades now and there is 20 medical marijuana states in the US. If the cannabis is packaged properly then it doesn't matter which state it is shipped from.
-
sorry guys I'm not big on typing so I don't get on the forums much I had no idea this would end up being such a hot topic. I haven't had a chance to read all the post just the first page of them I'll try to get to everybody's questions monday because Idon't do anything on the weekends during football season but watch football.

thats shitty,
what was in the package????
just a free sample.

The vendor couldn't make a free sample stealthy and smell proof.... ???
I know people who ship 20lbs in boxes out of California without a problem....
-
Personally, I would stay away. Sounds like a setup.
that's exactly what I was thinking and now he's being all super helpful wanting to help everybody that got fucked. he's offering ways to get fake ID and fake identity or some shit like that. I don't trust anyone not even my drops but I have to. I don't have to trust him and I don't.

I know right! I been a bulk buyer for a while now and not one problem in 73 orders mostly HP's and up. Then I get fucked on a gram it a damn

yeah I try to keep a few to rotate but now I've decided that I'm gonna have one set a side for small personal orders and use the others for my reups.

Eckhart comes through with the advice, now - yeah ;D

yeah man they can have it. it was only a free sample just makes me suspicious about the vender. I have always shied away from new venders with free samples just because I think it could be LE getting info on people using SR. just my crazy thoughts.

yeah sorry about that just not a big forum person but I will try and keep you all informed with what happens.
