Indeed, sir. Crucial in fact. I would never dream of dealing with a vendor who didn't use PGP, nor would I send ANY sensitive information without encrypting it first. I even use it when I'm chatting with vendors and mention benign yet identifiable traits about myself, such as my favorite food (just a stupid example, but you get the point).
