Title: CLEARNET WITH TOR
Post by: gimmemoredrugs on June 07, 2013, 08:20 pm
Is there a problem accessing clearnet sites using tor?  Just wondering why people always put **clearnet warning**  is it dangerous to access these sites using tor?

Hmmm interesting, I have not noticed this.  I use tor for clearnet all the time, I figure it's like being behind a strengthened proxy service.

i would suggest not to mix SR and clearnet activities in same browser window! risk is that cookies or other traceable information gets aside with your irl identity... for me it is added security not to mix things.. you might accidentially copy&paste something

you can surf clearnet but consider switching tor identity regularly

Got it...just always confused me why people put the clearnet warning, I never felt like opening them in a different browser.

But, as long as you are not doing anything related to your identity, there wouldn't be issue, right?

Most of the time I will use TOR for doing research, visiting websites such as Erowid and other questionable websites.

I do not log into facebook, personal banking, or anything like this within Tor though...
