Title: Tor acting funky
Post by: jorman on August 08, 2013, 10:42 pm
My Tor browser just started acting funky, instead of saying "you are on the tor network!" now it says:

Sorry, your query failed or an unexpected response was received.
A temporary service outage prevents us from determining if your source IP address is a Tor node.

is this a problem on my side?

I am using windows (don't hate me)

It's probably to projects server, Sometimes it gets a little wonky.

The tor check server needs to access a database of nodes to tell if you are using Tor and if something happens and the server cant access its database then it has no way to know if you are using Tor.

I got the same message but my ip address was a Tor node so it's nothing wrong with Tor.
