I ordered something internationally so I'm assuming it will arrive via UPS or FedEx. I used the name of a gentleman who lived here, we get junk mail for him all of the time. I just read in another thread that UPS and FedEx must have your real name to deliver...is this true? I have never had a delivery guy verify my name when dropping off a package

absolutely not... they only need to have an address to deliver to. Packages arent even required to have a name if the sender does not wish to provide one.

It's not true, but your package should still come via USPS.

You ordered internationally from where to where?
To use those private carriers, the seller don't need to go to post office (or the company) personally?
-
From my personal experience Fedex and UPS always required not only a name, but a phone number.
But YMMV.........
