What are your personal preferences and why?
While leaving the anonymity up to the user, Qubes seems to provide the utmost security. Plus, if your system is insecure, so is your identity.
Do you feel that the information provided in How to Exit the Matrix is sufficient? Are there any further techniques or reading one might suggest?

Qubes can certainly be secured more than either Tails or Liberte can be.

Liberte is nice and easy to use. Plus the user doc encryption method, even for memory sticks is beautiful.

I agree, MojoMan, Liberte, easy and secure. Haven't seen Qubes, but I wasn't able to easily work wit Tails.
Liberte has gpg (called gpa) which is super easy to use, once you try it a few times.
Also, if you lose the flash drive its installed on, no big deal, since its a hardened GENTOO kernel, and if you put in a decent password, won't be easily cracked, especially if someone finds it on the street...hahaha...they'll just write over it and have a clean flash drive!
