i know that one of the easiest methods for testing LSD is by using an Erlichs reagent test. im just wondering though, what with the prevalence of many DOx chemicals, especially DOC being unscheduled in USA, what would the reagent test would show with a blotter containing DOC? or the other DOx Phenethylamines

I don't think Ehrlich will do much of anything with DOC, its a spot test for alkaloids, primarily indoles. Theres a list of color reactions here https://www.dmt-nexus.me/forum/default.aspx?g=posts&t=25771 , there's also a huge thread somewhere on bluelight with Marquis+Mecke color reactions but I can't seem to search it at the moment.
You need to use multiple tests to get the most conclusive results (Ehrlich+Marquis). But that can be pretty tricky because Marquis will react paper, so you have to dissolve the substance on the paper, with something like pure Ethanol (95%) and then use something non-reactive with Marquis like Glass.
Even with all of the above, being 100% sure requires a GC/MS test.
P.S. DOB is scheduled and I'm sure DOC could be considered an Analog.
