Title: Buying bitcoins in The Netherlands
Post by: triphippy on November 11, 2012, 07:05 pm
Hello everybody,

Being new to the SilkRoad I'm about to buy my first Bitcoins. I found this dutch website called BTC4euro.nl. There's an option for payment by bank and you can send them money by mail. I'm assuming the bank transfer isn't quite safe even when using bitcoinfog, so I'd have to send them money. Does anyone know if this website is legit and if no, what are my other options in The Netherlands?

Thanks in advance :)

I've got succefull tradings with these websites:

My favorite: bitonic.nl iDeal option available.

Yes, there will be a trace of you buying bitcoins. But there will be nothing left behind of where you send the bitcoins. Having bitcoins i completely legal. I can recommend depositing the bitcoins directly to your silkroad account. Because with a bitcoin adress you cannot trace anything. If you have any questions, ill hear them :)

Hope this helps, stay safe.

Cheers

I can only guess what that website says but it looks okay.

I'm quite sure Intersango does also accept payments from European countries.

I've seen bitonic as well but they charge 1 euro more per bitcoin.
What do you mean by depositing the bitcoins directly to the silkroad account? There's the adress I'll use to get the coins to silkroad, but I want to use bitcoinfog before putting the bitcoins on that.
What's your process from the moment you order the bitcoins until the moment when you put the bitcoins on SR?

You have to deposit the bitcoins to a bitcoin wallet. Silkroad has a bitcoin wallet build-in. If you log-in to silkroad, go to Account. Then you'll see your adress to deposit bitcoins. Use that adress at the website to depoisit bitcoins on.

Because you could also send your bitcoins to your wallet on your own computer( see https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Using_Bitcoin ).
This one is not reccomended because you' ll have to send twice, and it' ll take longer. You can simply keep the bitcoins on the silkroad wallet, none else can see, or take your bitcoins from the silkroad wallet.

Wow, bitconic is expensive!! I am thinking of trying BTC4euro, since their price is much better.

What did you do in the end, Triphippy?

Ofcourse. Its like real money. The value changes. If you're smart. You'll wait untill the value drops. Buy a lot of bitcoins. Wait untill the value increases again.
In this way you can spend less bitcoins for more in SR. thats how I mostly get it. Same price as on the streets(not counting my mining rig)
