Title: Question regarding escrow hedging
Post by: Jack N Hoff on July 02, 2013, 02:29 pm
I currently have escrow hedging on.  If I turn it off will that affect the orders that are already in transit or in processing?  Or will it only affect orders placed from that point forward?

I am thinking about turning escrow hedging off because I don't think btc price is going to go much lower so I need a definitive answer.

Turning it on or off only affects newly placed orders.

Turning it on or off only affects newly placed orders.

That's what I hoped/thought but I had read a comment from a vendor before claiming that he changed it during the crash and his money in escrow dropped by several thousand dollars.

I am assuming that you are speaking from experience Rinran?

Not possible, it only comes into effect after you have changed your hedging settings.

If you have 10 orders in BTC escrow before hedging they will stay as BTC and will not be hedged.
If you have 10 orders in USD escrow they will stay as USD throughout the duration of the order and you will be paid out the equivalent according to Gox weight -4% SR hedge fee.

Dank
