IMPORTANT UPDATE REGARDING FANNY HILL - CONFIRMED SCAMMER

The Mission: Investigate and Ascertain whether or not Fanny Hill, a new H dealer here on SR is indeed a scammer. After following posts on the forum for a long time, I decided to test my luck with FH. I have an outstanding reputation here and I used this to my advantage in order to gain the cooperation of SR staff. I do not know how they will proceed from here, however all listings have been removed. There are satisfied customers it seems, so this must be a *selective scammer*.

The following may be a disturbing lack of disrespect to trade, however it is important that everyone is exposed to the events that transpired between me and FH.

A while back I placed an order with Fanny Hill for 2gs of H. I had my suspicions that this person was too good to be true. Several things happened that aroused my suspicion. First the listing for 2Gs disappeared. Then, nearly all of the vendors listing disappeared. My order was marked shipped the following monday, so I assumed that nothing was wrong. A week later I received this message.

Quote
sorry for the delay, everything has been shipped

8 days later I received this message.

Quote
Hey,

Just want to apologize for the delay and let you know that your order of H is being shipped tomorrow. Sorry for the inconvenience, if you ordered express your tracking number will follow tomorrow.

I sent a message asking if the order had been shipped. This was the response

Quote
your order has been shipped there was huge delays in postal service from montreal because of recent events involving someone mailing body parts

A privnote message followed. In the message, it said "Order 1 and Order 2" with tracking numbers below. I did not make 2 orders, I made 1. Neither of the tracking numbers were valid according to canadapost.ca, the website linked to me.

This is what I sent to the SR Support Team.
Quote
Hello. I feel so bad that I have to write this message. I had a gut feeling that this person was too good to be true, and it seems I may be right. Regardless of this vendor intending to ship my product, I want to make it clear that I 1) Do not believe this vendor has shipped it 2) Want my money back regardless of any intent to ship it in the future.

Here is the refund request I wrote on the order: "
This is the THIRD time the vendor has lied about shipping. I simply do not believe this anymore and I want my money back. This has been a horrible experience and I just know that this is not an honest sale.

I received this today, "Hey really sorry for all of the delay, not running a game or anything like that at all.[...]Everything was sent today. again, sorry for the delay"

1 day before that I received this message "your order has been shipped there was huge delays in postal service from montreal because of recent events involving someone mailing body parts"

8 days ago I received this message "Just want to apologize for the delay and let you know that your order of H is being shipped tomorrow. Sorry for the inconvenience, if you ordered express your tracking number will follow tomorrow."

On may 22nd the seller marked the item as shipped.

This is unacceptable."

I am not sure how you normally deal with these types of issues and I would appreciate it very much if you could enlighten me on the power you have as administrators. Again, I feel so bad to have to write this message, however I would never write it without my feeling it to be absolutely necessary.
It is a shame that vendors like this have to lie so much. A little honest goes a long way.

Thank you very much for looking at my case.

After about a week of waiting I received this message.

Transaction resolved by Silk Road staff

I am sorry you could not come to a resolution. We have settled on a refund of 100%. I hope this is agreeable for you both.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reply to this message.

Best regards,

In conclusion, FH almost manipulated me into believing that the package was sent or going to be sent. Together the SR staff and I ascertained that this vendor was trying to pull a scam.

Put in a resolution for a 100% refund, describe your situation clearly and truthfully and you will be refunded your money after they look it over. The reason it takes a few days is because time is allowed for the vendor to respond to the resolution. FH responded to this with a resolution to extend it by 10 days, I put in another 100% refund request in response.

^just did. man I just wish that with someone as deceitful as FH they could skip that whole part and refund the coins within a day so I can reorder. What a pain this had been...

I feel your pain. I also think it is a complete shame that vendors have to stoop to this ridiculously low level manipulation. I didn't go to college for nothing and this is just textbook manipulation. I'm very glad I stayed within escrow, with Tony I FE for my first transaction with him.

What has this place come to? I hope that everyone gets a refund who deserves it.

Shit man! Having a fucking withdrawal is bad enough but to give endless wait and lying for a month to customers, IT'S UNFORGIVABLE!

Just WTF are people thinking, they must have fried their own brains before selling away their own dope.

I placed an order and got several messages that did not turn out to be true supposed to have been shipped on the 3oth. Then I get a message that it did ship on the 4th with a tracking no and the tracking no has shown some movement. Should I wait or just go into resolution? Relatively new here and not sure how this works. First shipment I've had a problem with, guess I've been lucky. Thanks.

I completely agree, it is an affront to the entire community. Unfortunately it will not be difficult for FH to return with a different name.

As a new person I would wait. If you placed a large order, then put in a 100% refund request. If the vendor didn't have send the tracking number than that is, in my opinion, grounds for a 100% refund right there. So if you have that gut feel, go with it, file that resolution and type up a detailed account of the entire incident to give the staff the most information possible to determine what to do.

My guess with these situations* is that the vendors are really just users with a solid connect in real life, and they're used to buying a gram or two at a time to sell to their friends as points, and they think they can transition it to online. So they save up for a little, grab like a half piece, and go to town with the vending. But, now they've got half piece, or a piece, or an ounce, or whatever, on hand and they start getting into it, because let's not forget that they're still addicts, and so they end up saying "I'm going to set X amount aside for myself, and sell Y amount". Well, the whole bitcoin process takes a while, and so they underestimate the amount of time they'll need to cash coins out and do their reups, etc, which is why the first bunch of orders are usually on time and rock solid.

But what starts to happen is that they are boosting their habit the whole time, because they've got so much shit on hand, and so their personal part of the stash runs out. So they figure no harm can come from getting into their sale stash, because they'll just make sure and send out stuff to the people who ordered first, and come up with some plausible excuses for the people who order later, and so it basically turns into a ponzi scheme, where they convince some people to finalize early, get those coins out as cash, and then use the cash to buy the product that is going to the earlier people, but it just takes one bad deal, one ounce that is real dope wrapped around a chunk of cut, and they are fucked because they can't get enough product to make all their orders good, but no one is going to finalize early anymore because rumors start coming out on the forums about lies about shipping times, delays, excuses, etc etc etc. So the whole ponzi scheme aspect of it bites them in the ass and it comes crashing down around them.

Just my 2 cents

*where people are just getting the run around but everyone is in escrow and so it's not truly a scam in the strictest sense of the word, because you're not losing money just opportunity

Confirmed scam? I fucking doubt it how can someone really scam when there is escrow protection FH has always sent my orders out promptly and I always do Priority next day delivery. The guy vac seals his orders. His gear is top notch I don't understand why everyones's haten on him he's my favorite vendor on sr and I hope you assholes haven't ruined his rep enough for him to shut down. Just my 0.002BTC But this giuys great and if you dont watch out there will be no more #4 vendors on here. Now wont that suck, injecting lemon juice and vinegar into your arm sounds real good. End up like those krokodile addicts in russia.
Anything thats happened with FH has been simple misunderstanding that im sure he will fix for you just talk to him hes a very nice guy

No offense but you sound a bit shillish. I don't buy Smack and I have no interest in this Fanny Hill one way or the other but baring in mind the amount of people who are basically singing from the same hymn sheet it's a little hard to believe that they can all be wrong or all be ganging up on this Vendor without cause. I would have thought that if there were more success stories they would have emerged by now? I mean...this thread is in caps and all....
