i have seen a few methods for preparing these, i was curious as to the latest preferred method with HCl now that the freebase is less common.
i have seen
a) 1/1 water to vodka,
b) citric acid (just a few drops)
c) very few suggest using only distilled water. (i read even using heat, it would have to be hotter than the boiling point of water but not sure if this was for the freebase or HCl)
the math after is simple enough, you want to keep your doses reasonable.
for those with more experience, can you please tell me your preferred method?

Here's what was suggested to me by Gambino:
Buy Afrin in the metered dose pump spray. You need the metered dose pump, not the regular nasal spray. Unscrew the top and pour out the liquid into the sink. Carefully weigh 20 mg of 25I-NBOMe HCl powder and place it in a 50 mL beaker. You need a good scale for this, and you need to be careful when working with this substance. (If you don't know why, you shouldn't be messing with it. Seriously.) Mix about 10 mL water with about 10 mL of your favorite vodka. Now, using a volumetric pipette or syringe, carefully measure 10 mL of this liquid and put it into the beaker. Using a stainless steel spatula or glass stirring rod, stir the mixture until the 20 mg of powder goes completely into solution. It should take a few minutes. Carefully pour the solution into the Afrin bottle and replace the cap. You now have a nasal spray pump that is approximately 200 micrograms per pump. A single dose should be 1 to 3 pumps, depending on the individual and where you want to go with it.
Working with these NBOMes is not for the inexperienced. It's dangerous because of how potent the material is. I am assuming you already understand this or you wouldn't have ordered it in the first place, so I'm just mentioning it.
For everybody else, just buy the pre-made nasal sprays on SR. I think the vendor's name is Tyl3rDurden or something like that.
I have yet to try this, but it seems correct in theory.

I also used an Afrin bottle. There are various ones... With the one I used I found that 2 tablespoons (measured with a syringe) produced 150 sprays, give or take a few sprays. I was dosing 25i and wanted each dose to be about .6 of a mg. I wanted each dose to be 3 sprays. This means that my Afrin bottle would contain 50 doses at 3 sprays each. So I did one tablespoon of nasal saline solution and one tablespoon of vodka, and 30mg of the 25i powder.
I have been a regular user of the 25i tabs at 1mg, and this method at .6mg in a nasal spray seemed to feel about the same dose as the tabs. The advantage is the come up only took about 10-15 minutes, seemed smoother and without as much body load, and is just all around less of a pain than the tabs.
I am going to try the same thing with some 25D that I have coming.

The key to this process is that each pump of the Afrin metered dose pump spray delivers 1/10 mL of liquid. To be safe, I highly recommend you verify this yourself with your Afrin bottle. (Remember, you need the metered dose pump spray, not the regular squeeze kind.) A good method to verify the volume of liquid dispensed in each spray is to use the fact that 1 mL of water weighs 1 gram. Here are the steps:
1) Fill the bottle with about 15 mL of water and prime the pump by pumping it a few time till it sprays.
2) Weigh the bottle and record the weight. (initial weight)
3) Pump the spray 50 times. Press the pump firmly and completely each time.
4) Weigh the bottle and record the weight (final weight)
5) Calculate as follows:
single pump volume = (final weight - initial weight) / 50
The calculated single pump volume should be very very close to 0.10. If not, you have to adjust accordingly or go get the kind of Afrin bottle that dispenses 1/10 mL.
Disclaimer: If you decide to try this, you are responsible to verify these calculations. If you aren't capable of doing this correctly, don't try it. You do this at your own risk. If others trust you to do this for them, they trust you at their own risk.

Nice info, thanks ... will definitely come in handy once the analogue act passes and the tabs dry up.
-
There already is an analog law in the USA. To which act specifically are you referring? And why would it dry up the tabs and not the powder?
-
Just something I plan to try when the Analogue Act passes (the one that schedules all nbomes by name) and my tabs run out. The current law only names 25B as an analogue.
-
the one that schedules all nbomes by name
Which one? Could you please point us to the act you are talking about, by name perhaps? I wasn't aware there was any act in the U.S. that names any NBOMe.
-
they're talking about s.3187, which'll place most 2cxs into schedule i. once that's signed into law, all the corresponding nbomes will fall under the existing analog act.
Got it, thanks. That makes sense. I suppose right now 25B is covered as an analog of 2C-B, which is and has been Sched I, but 25C and 25I are not considered analogs because the parent compounds aren't yet schedule I. Still, though, as long as none of the NBOMes are named specifically as Sched I, they can be legally possessed for uses other than human consumption (or so the theory goes). The whole idea of restricting these compounds from people is fucking ridiculous anyway.
I was concerned that Lilly was saying that there is an act in the works to name the NBOMe series specifically as Schedule I, which would suck.

Ah yeah, sorry for not clarifying.
Good news though, Foxy says 2c-g was left off the list so 25g will be safe. Haha, hope it turns out to be a good one.

Looks like the 2C-X-Flys did not make it into S.3187. I wonder how the NBOMe versions of these would be?
