So I'm looking at usps and the canadian one.
So for envelopes there is no tracking number unless you purchase a priority prepaid envelope of some sort. Since proof of shipping is required in the event that the vendor and buyer disagree about what arrived and what didn't.
If you print off a shipping label you have to pay with some sort of plastic which leads back to you. so ... not so good. So you don't print off a label. you use the sticky write on label.
this is:
1) time consuming
2) possible errors (not copied and pasted)
3) hand written which everyone seems to go against.
what am I missing about shipping labels?
if you send regular letter mail and print labels the buyer could screw you and you have no proof.
if you buy a prepaid envelope, it comes with a label on it that (at least the ones i've seen) are filled out by hand. the top slip is ripped off as a receipt and the bottom is a carbon copy stuck to the envelope. if you print a label and stick it on, then there is no bottom carbon copy.
if you hand write then the buyer gets pissed because it's not professional looking. Am I just not searching these sites right?
