Hi all,
I have literally only just found out about this whole website, and it seems like a genius idea! As you can imagine, I am concerned about my safety as the package will have my address on it? Is this safe? Or is there a safer way around this?
I am completely knew to all of this, so please understand my concern.
Thanks a lot

Sellers use very stealthy packaging techniques to avoid red flags.
The package will have your name and address on it - how else would it get to your location?
-
You're not receiving anything, you didn't even order it. You have no idea how it got into your mailbox.
Of course you wouldn't steal someone else's mail either, that's illegal.
;)
(hope you detect what I'm trying to say)
Just put your name and address on it, perhaps the last residence of your house.
Leave it in your mailbox for a few days with "return to sender on it" because it's not your mail.
Then eventually take it inside, check it, store it somewhere that's not inside your house.

do not leave it in your mailbox w/ return to sender on it, the mailman would take it

That's what I was thinking when I read it, an experienced SR user said this.
I'm guessing perhaps leave it in the mailbox, and get it the next day before the mailman arrives.
JUST incase the police come knocking when they know it's in your mailbox.

Open a PO box with a fake id. Pay some one to pick up the package for you, pay another person to watch him incase he gets busted and tries to flip on you. Make sure the person that picks it up does not know your real name or address. Polic just won't bother investigating its a dead end for le.

i'm based in the UK so i don't have a mailbox, it literally comes straight through the door
-
don't sign for it. ever.

This seems comically expensive to hide personal amounts of drugs.

depends on what you are recieving and how big the whole thing is. personally, id rather have something dropshipped to a gps location... but thats rarely on offer. fake po box with a stranger picking stuff up is what i would do

wow paranoid much? plus fake id is a sure fire way to get busted.
OP just dont ever sign for it. dont open it and keep it somewhere safe when the coast is clear.

From what I understand in the US if they want to "trap" you they deliver it with a sig required. Then come in a dew minutes later giving you a chance to open the package and catch you in the act.
-
It's CUSTOMS who will find the drugs and all they do is confiscate them and send a letter informing you.
The police are almost never involved even when drugs are found, unless it's a HUGE amount.
As for signatures, just mark an X or a dash or write "no signature required" in the box.
Trust me the delivery guy really doesn't care what you put so just SCRIBBLE.
The safest way is definitely by opening a P.O. Box in someone elses name.
Either pay a bum and have him use his ID with a fake address and phone number.
Or buy a fake ID and open a P.O Box as that identity. I've done it myself with a fake ID.
I've received countless packages this way, hassle and worry free.

You know when you first moved into your place and you got a bunch of mail from a previous residents? If you live in an apt complex it is likely you still receive a lot of mail from many previous tenants who didn't change their place of residence. If it is a letter this method will work flawlessly, especially if you insert a couple of printed pages and fold them brochure like.
That could work for very small purchases but for larger packages, in the event they research it a bit farther instead of sticking it in the "send" pile right away, you could run into some problems fast.

Do not, do not, do not open a PO box under a fake name. The best way to do it is to open a PO box under your real name, make everything legit and then subscribe to a magazine or two and start ordering small "embarrassing" packages (condoms, lube, etc) that way if you were ever to get caught you can just deny it completely and when they ask you the million dollar question, "why did you open the PO box in the first place?" You just say that you only send embarrassing type of products to your PO box in case someone in your household opens them or you can just simply say that you're tired of your packages being stolen as long as you deny it 100% you'll be okay!

Yes yes and yes! Great ideas! I'll keep these in mind should I go that route. I don't quite agree with the packages being stolen as I feel a cop would likely press someone who first thought is to reach for an excuse that has a crime in it. Guilty on the brain eh?
I know it's paranoid but these cops are trained to pick up on anything like that, that's why these usually take their time responding to you. You should do the same and think of a good retort if it comes to that. Deniability isn't always as easy as everyone makes it out to be. Cops are trained to work people into corners so keep that mind when denying, not literally think AH HES TRAPPING ME.
Say things like, "It has my name on it but I haven't ordered anything in months, especially not from a (glance at box and read his name, perhaps make light of the whole endeavor but it depends on you as a person)."
Or just simply I didn't order anything, repeat it exactly without failing but not like snappy prepared comeback. Be civil, most suspected criminals will crack under the mere presence of a police officer. Remember you have nothing to worry about and all that is going to happen is you lose a few/many bucks.

So as a brand new user who has been doing homework all day on the subject, it sounds as though the safest bet all around is to get something shipped to their house, under their own name, and just never to sign for anything? It sounds as though the vendors that know what they're doing will not require a signature and if one (vendor) were to get popped, LE is going to be looking UP the supply chain- not down (especially internationally). It seems like every other strategy is riddled with legal holes and your only liability this way is that the vendor knows who you are (which seems like, for once, a lesser liability for international vendors than domestic)? I just read every post in the postal inspector intern's thread and a few dozen other quasi-related threads- want to be extremely cautious for obvious reasons. Also, in direct response to the buyer's guide-
[Use a different address, such as a friend's house or P.O. box, that is unrelated to the one where your item will be kept. Once the item arrives, transport it discreetly to its final destination. Avoid abandoned buildings or any place where it would be suspicious to have mail delivered.]
If I ever were to buy something that I shouldn't, it would not be acceptable for a friend to go down for my own personal decision. EVERYONE in the industry should know and abide by this. Also, picking up a package from a PO box seems as though it's direct evidence instead of circumstantial- though I could be misinterpreting the law here (not a lawyer).
[Do not sign for your package. If you are expecting a package from us, do not answer the door for the postman, let him leave it there and then transport it as described above.]
This makes absolute sense, no argument there.
[Do not use your real name. This tactic doesn't work in some places because deliveries won't be made to names not registered with the address. If you think this is a problem, send yourself a test letter with the fake name and see if it arrives.]
I know for a fact that fake name deliveries don't show up at my house. Not an option for me, although not sure that I would do it anyway even if those letters did show up.
Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks.

Quite an amusing reading these stories from US! You guys over there are paranoic, that's what it is. You start shitting yourself just by seeing your own shadow...hahaha. Well, just for a reminder: there's something called a "buyers guide" right at the SR site and studying it carefully you would have just the right answer to your question regarding the safest way of receiving a letter with contents. Don't flip out guys: the American society is the most vigiled society on earth so if they really wanted to bust you, believe me they would. So, just stay cool and don't worry too much.

Just to clarify that, I think the point was to bring it INSIDE your house and write return to sender on it. That way it's still unopened so you have that plausible deniability, still. Personally, I always drive someplace else to open my packages. Depending on what I believe I've received, I may stop a few places to insure I'm not being followed. Then I place it inside a locked box in my trunk for the drive home (without getting out of the car) so that it is literally NEVER not protected by a need for a warrant. Some say I'm paranoid, but I feel much safer this way.

TOR DEMON- good idea im going to write that on it before i rip it open or whoever came up with that plausible to deny for the short time i have that bitch unopened i guess...
EVERYONE ELSE- Dont be camping by your mailbox! Wait for the mail man to pass and leave! also walking down to your mailbox look for anything out of place....these are my two main things i do i suggest you do the same
when you get the package rip it open indoors or in a car...people drive away from your house but that's B.S.
rip that bitch open. no body holds onto a package for more then 3 days anyway..if its a small package and you order large ones a lot rip that bitch open faster cuz you will want to know if you got heat on you and go down small then go down huge... if you can wait days to open a package with zero current supplies well your a stronger man then me and probably 99 percent of community
or like tordemons method i like that 2 if you have a lock box and your not fucked up go for a little sunday drive in the middle of no where so ur not followed and NO your no over paranoid i dont through away my packing equipment i burn it :)
if you can wait or order a few days be4 you know you will run out- receive package and write return to sender on it and dont open it until your old stash is gone..
so pick at these ideas! we all have our own pimped out methods
