Title: Idea For A Lottery... Take A Look!
Post by: Lotterykid on July 29, 2012, 12:49 am
Hey Guys, Loterykid again, i've been away for a few weeks and working with an idea for a good, realtively safe, lottery system where i cannot choose the numbers, so here it goes

You purchase a ticket (Finalizing early and such) In the address line. pick two numbers between 0 and 99.
The winning numbers will be a reflection of the amount of cents in the Dow Jones stock on Friday at 2pm, For example, if the stock is worth $10.15 at 2pm, the winning number will be 15, and if that is one is the winning number, then you'll win the Jackpot

So here's the rundown of how to win.
If one of your numbers falls within 5 numbers of the winning numbers, you win $1, which is a 20% to win if your numbers aren't too close together.
If one of your numbers is within 2 numbers of the winning number, you win $2, which is about 8% chance to win if your numbers aren't too close together.
If one of your numbers is the winning number, you win $5 as well as a part of the $50 jackpot prize.

So this may sound a bit complex, so i'll give an example.
I buy one ticket, and my two numbers are 10 and 45
The winning number is 15.
I win $1 because 10 falls within 5 numbers of the winning number
Make sense so far?

By the Way, the Jackpot will be shared, but the other prizes won't, so if 10 people win the $1 prize, everyone gets $1, but if two people win the jackpot, they each get $5 for winning, as well as a split of the $50, so $25 each, meaning they both get $30

The Posting will be up later tonight, and i'm willing to answer any questions about it, and make it as open as possible to make it seem less like a scam ha ha.

May I suggest another way to get the winning numbers?

Pick a state with a pick three lottery (like north carolina http://www.nc-educationlottery.org/pick3_past.aspx) and just use the last two numbers as the winner.  There is the possibility of any number from 00-99 (100 numbers), guaranteed to not be controllable,  and anyone can check the winner by going to the lottery website.  The link I posted above has the winning numbers from the last draws so you can see what I am taking about (winning numbes would have been 57, 00, 85, 61, 59, 44, 47, 66, 35, & 03).

That's an interesting suggestion, However, what makes this method better than the one i used? They're both random, and they're both not controllable, I'm pretty sure there's no way i can make the Dow Jones Stock go to a specific cents.

You do know that the Dow Jones isn't one stock right? it's an analysis of 30 companies that gives an estimate of how good or bad the stock market is going, and you can't really play it, and if you could you'd actually be spending thousands of dollars to play it.. I'm sensing here that you're not really understanding something here.. Feel free to message me if you're having a hard time.

Didnt say my method was better or worse,  but seems like it would be easier to post a link to state lottery for customers to check than trying to find dow jones at specific time and date (although I have never tried finding dow jones at specific time and date so dont know how difficult it is)
