Title: Bitcoins value heavily fluctuating
Post by: TLT13 on July 05, 2013, 07:33 pm
Hey guys,

I bought about 40 euro worth of bitcoins (0.6377). They went up about 4 euros even after I paid for transaction costs, then down to 42, but nothing major.

Now all of a sudden they're worth barely 30 euro's! I'm quite new to Bitcoins, so I looked up the markets and saw there has indeed been a 30% drop in value. I was wondering how often this happens? Is this normal? Can I expect 'm to go up again tomorrow with another 10 or are heavy drops like this very uncommon and did I most likely 'lose' 10 euro for a long time?

10 euro isnt' a big deal for me, but I am interested in the fluctuations of the market. Could more experienced buyers/sellers tell me a bit more about the value of coins and how much fluctuatoin there is?

One more question. What's better, to buy when the coins are worth less or to buy when the coins are worth a lot? It's confusing for me because I changed the settings on my SR account to show euro's. So now the products I'm interested in have dropped in price quite a bit, but my coins are also worth less. So I guess it doesn't really matter since the end result is the same?
