Title: High Powered Lasers at Bitlasers.com
Post by: Grix on June 01, 2012, 08:59 pm
BITLASERS.COM

This is a little store selling handheld lasers and accessories for bitcoin!

These lasers are all built by me from parts, so these are pretty much unique. You won't find this powerful lasers except on a few select sites.

Featured is a jawdropping 1300mW blue laser that has an extremely bright beam and burns like hell, can ignite wood and paper f.ex. for only $169! That is almost 3 times as cheap as f.ex. wickedlasers.com, which is the biggest laser vendor around.

The lasers are sold in semi-assembled states. Some assembly is required, though it is very easy, takes only a couple of minutes are require no tools or experience. Selling the lasers like this makes them legal to import as is, so you don't have to worry about customs.

Now, I CAN NOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH: If you want to buy a laser, you must absolutely understand the dangers involved. A split-second of the beam hitting your eye, and you might permanently damage your vision. These lasers are absolutely not toys. I sell protective glasses and I absolutely encourage that you buy and use them. These lasers are also prohibited in some countries, make sure you know the local laws.

If you have any questions, please contact me on this forum, or at gitlem@lavabit.com .

You can read more in this thread over at bitcointalk, there's some positive feedback for me in there too:

I'd prefer it if you used my site, but if you want, I can open a listing on SR with escrow, just PM me or something saying what you want. This will cost a little bit extra due to SR's fees.

If you are interested in buying lasers, i'd recommend have a thorough look at http://laserpointerforums.com/ - its a very comprehensive website on portable lasers, and offers good safety advise too if you are considering anything high power.

Hehe.. that is the standard method of transatlantic laser shipments, and also the reason many submarine captains wear eyepatches nowadays.

Just think about the first person to kill a motherfucker with a laser in the world, and how gangster that person would be.

Is shooting down unmanned aerial vehicles good enough for you for the time being? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vqLkpcHavZE (obviously clearnet). I was impressed when I heard of this, because I did laboratory work with lasers so I'm used to the idea of them being bulky and easy to misalign and a general pain in the ass, not being well ordered tools of destruction. Too bad that's not for sale.

Hmm, would be pretty cool to use this for vaping freebase drugs rather than a lighter

Well, i guess you could. I have a laser that works perfectly fine for lighting cigarettes, no reason to assume it couldn't vape some cannabis if i wanted to.

Somehow messing around with drugs, class 4 lasers and mandatory safety goggles does not sound like the smartest of ideas though. Shine that thing into you eye for a split second and you are blind, permanently.
