I don't need to buy any at the moment, but I think it's an important element of any phenethylamine/tryptamine user's kit.
It's a potent anti-nauseant that works directly against the serotonergic effect that causes the nausea in the first place without affecting the other serotonergic systems.
Some of the negative outcomes from these phens/trypts is due to the nausea/vomiting, like dehydration, electrolyte imbalances and Syndrome of Inappropriate Antidiuretic Hormone Secretion (SIADH). Nausea is a potent stimulus for ADH secretion. Ondansetron should bring an immediate stop to these signs and symptoms.
These drugs are typically hard to find from online pharmacies, relatively safe, totally uncontrolled other than requiring an RX but somewhat expensive.
It's not a bad drug to have on hand if you're experiencing nausea for some other reason too (with the exception of motion sickness, as it's not gastric in origin). In my opinion, the over-the-counter options for nausea in most countries are barbaric compared to 5-HT3 antagonists like ondansetron.
There is, however, a warning that ondansetron can cause serotonin syndrome, but I can't figure out why, there just appears to be a few case reports of it.
