Title: Is there a .onion image uploading service?
Post by: LysanderSpooner on July 09, 2011, 01:15 am
I'd like to take some pictures of the products I'm selling but want to host them at a .onion like I've seen others do. Is there a service that does this?

Another question. If I take the photos with my digital camera then certain information in encoded into that jpeg right? I seem to recall some story of somebody getting identified because of that. If I open the photo print screen and then paste to photoshop and save from there will I have a totally anonymous jpeg?

Thanks!

I can't help you on the first part, but yes that would be an effective way to strip metadata out of an image.

To answer your first question, there are many image/file hosting sites in onion, take a look: http://hmybz2aqe7whj7qr.onion/wiki/Main_Page
As for the second, there are more attacks which are harder to counter than the simple EXIF data. There were threads about the topic, I believe the best advice was to use a special camera for this purpose only...
