Title: Refunds?
Post by: SgtWink on August 06, 2011, 07:43 pm
So I have a question about a refund. Now it's been about 3 weeks since I ordered, and I was told I won't get my refund for another I guess it's 2-3 days by now. But I was wondering, I was told I'll get a 100 percent refund, but is this my exact coin amount or dollar worth to bitcoin worth as of now. Because it's been so long silk has already given my money to the vendor, so it is no longer being hedged. So I'm a little confused as bitcoins are worth about half as much as when I bought the product, meaning I'll have much less money.
Sorry if this isn't the board for this.

Bitcoin, and yes in this case that will suck.
Some vendors will issue replacement shipment.
Sometimes bitcoin value actually goes up so no guarantee if you win or lose.

As bad as you have it, many vendors are much worse off. Some buyers do not log in again and do not release funds from escrow. Silk Road is likely to see a thinning as some sellers go bankrupt.
