Post by: awesome1126 on June 16, 2013, 10:44 pm
This is the setup I want but I don't know if it's possible on Windows 8, can anyone walk me through this point me to a walkthrough that works for Windows 8?

Does this tutorial work for Windows 8?

If you boot from USB it shouldn't matter which OS resides on the hard drive that is not in use.

You can run Tails without a hard drive in the computer.

Thing is, Windows 8 has changed the way it boots from other devices if I'm not mistaken? I'm gonna give it a go anyway.

I think you're referring it UEFI. I do not have enough knowledge on it to offer advice on how to do it but I know it can be done with a reformat and removal of that option in bios.

I think turning on legacy boot in the BIOS to turn off UEFI should be sufficient, otherwise Tails definitely won't be able to boot.

Using your advice worked perfectly.
