For the love of Christ! Why does it have to be so friggin difficult, and such a rip-off to aquire bitcoin? I mean, at first, i read up on aquiring them through the traders, (Mt.Gox, Ect...) and you need to be a banker/financial trader to understand any of it.... why isnt there a service where its staright forward? Its rediculous. And a buddy bought some from a seller here, but ended up paying such a ridiculous premium. I think he said they ended up costing him about 6.50 US per Bitcoin. I think there would be a helluva lot more transactions if it were easier to obtain them, and they wern't so overvalued..... just my 2 cents, or .000029 BTC! ;-)

I agree. It's ridiculous how convoluted it is to get some coins into SR. Or, for that matter, to get coins at all.
-
The easier it would be to get bitcoins, the easier it would be for LE, or anyone for that matter, to follow a paper trail. Yes, the bitcoin sellers on SR charge a premium, but it is a premium for convenience. I have no qualms spending a little more cash to get BTC, especially when all I have to do is deposit money into the sellers bank account, and decide what I'm going to spend my coins on 45 min later.
-
its only difficult if you're a fucking moron, which it sounds like you are.
-
I kind of agree with Bud here...
It's pretty simple I find, I've never had any problems. Use get-bitcoin.com and do the bank deposit. It's a 5% fee, which is the cheapest I've ever really seen, and you get it usually within a few hours.
Easy.

To do it anonymously its not that simple and can cost a lot. Bud needs to share his method otherwise I assume he is the moron who does it with his personal info attached. that method is easy until LEO want to make and example out of you. why help them do their job by being lazy?
I have some bitcoins for sale on SR if you have liberty reserve to make payments.

It's pretty anonymous. Just use fake information and don't send the btc to your SR address first. Just have it sent to you main wallet, then transfer it to SR. You don't have to sign any paper or anything, go in with a hat or a little disguise or whatever. Nothing about it is illegal or cause for suspicion.
-
I got my BT from canadianbitcoins.com with a bank transfer, then sent them to instawallet, and had them here at SR with in 2 hours of sending my bank transfer. It was my first time getting them, and ended up being ALOT simpler then i though it would be.

Getting them out without any kinda digital trail or paper trail is not easy if you want them to hold their value. otherwise you may have to wait a long time or cash them out for low exchange rates.

And this demonstrates why it is not so easy. You used your bank account to purchase from canadianbitcoins. So they have all of your personal information. From there you sent them directly to SR using instawallet. Didn't use a Mixer. Very easy to track your Bitcoin Transactions.
I know SR says that they mix them somewhat prior to enter SR but, I have found that it takes about 15 minutes to get from an account into SR. Just how well can they be mixed in 15 minutes (Bitcoinfog requires at least six hours to mix) and how sure are you that the mixing is actually happening each and every time. Sending coins directly to SR is not good security!

Uh. Dude are you retarded? Buying bitcoins is so easy. Go to http://www.bitcoin-otc.com or http://www.campbx.com or http://www.get-bitcoin.com - if you can't figure it out, you probably shouldn't be using drugs, man.
-
Buying them is not that hard. Buying them and getting them into SR discreetly and securely is not so easy. Trying to cash them out securely and discreetly is even more difficult.
-
Honestly, it was quite comforting with how difficult it was for me to find SR and get bitcoins. That means it about just as hard for the stinking fuckin' coppers to get in on this.
I'm sketched with using bank accounts to companies, so far iv just saved my cash until i can buy a big moneypak and sell it on SR.
The bigger the MP, the better the rate. Last time i had like 350$ and i got a rate at about 5.5bitcoin per dollar, not the best but eh, i sell plenty of weed at home so as long as i can get those Specialty Items from SR im a happy camper.

yeah the flip side to this is the bigger the MP the more likely you are to get ripped off. double edged sword really
Yup, and you also never know when your vendor is going to decide he's had enough and close up shop and walk off with everyone's money. It's happened before and with one of the most trusted vendors at that time.
Learn the Bitcoin system. It'll save you a ton of money in fee's. Most Vendors charge at least a 10-15 percent handling fee. I don't think I've ever lost more than five percent of my original chunk of money to fee's after mixing and everything.

Lol,getting betcoins is a breeze,if you find that already difficult what would you say when looking at C++ or delphi?

Here's what I did.
I signed up for Dwolla. Waited a few days and verified my account by looking up how much the dwolla deposits were in my account (they deposit two amounts into your account, each under 12 cents). Next I added to my account a few hundred dollars. I waited a few days.
Next I signed up for mtgox.com. I followed the instructions/wizard for depositing money into mtgox. I waited a few minutes and then bought bitcoins with my money.
Then, I sent bitcoins to my Silk Road account by clicking on bitcoin wallet on the main silk road website and copying the address they told me to send bitcoins to. Then, I selected fundingoptions>withdraw funds from mtgox, typed in the relevent information (such as the address to send the bitcoins to).
Finally, I added items from the silk road to my cart, checked out, and then within 1-7 days got drugs that I could never get on my own, with as little risk as possible, delivered on my front porch like I ordered it off of amazon, for relatively cheap (considering the drugs I ordered changed my life and gave me an experience I will never forget).
So yeah, three websites, follow a few instructions and be patient the first time you sign up. Remember to keep a few hundred in your silk road wallet at all times, and don't forget to finalize when your product arrives.
