Title: Forgot my wallet passphrase, what to do?
Post by: JayZero on August 11, 2013, 11:49 am
Hello guys, sorry that I am posting again but I need help, couldn't find anything on the internet

Well, I have this original bitcoin (bitcoin-qt or something) wallet installed on my computer and I made a passphrase on that but I already forgot it. I tried to uninstall the wallet and reinstall it but it is the same as before. What can I do? Can I even make/receive transactions if I don't know my passphrase? Is there a way to get it back or uninstall the whole wallet and get a new one or am I fucked?

Hoping for answers, thanks in advance

If you exported the private keys you may be able to import them into another wallet. Otherwise there is not much you can do except keep guessing. Good luck.

Thanks for your answer mate, I didn't export the private keys. So I'll just keep guessing till I find it out
