Even though the buying guides clearly instruct us to not finalize early, there are several top rated vendors that demand finalize early. I respect the escrow process, so I have only ordered from vendors who do not ask for FE.
Why are some vendors not honoring the escrow system, and is this a non-issue?
-
I believe that most of the top vendors that require FE do so for buyers with either bad stats or no stats at all. They generally do this to protect themselves from scammers. I would recommend finding one that does not require FE, or trying out some of the digital downloads to boost your stats. PurpleLotus's Coupon Collections are good, and Shroomeister has a very nice collection of infographics.
-
Yup, you can definitely just look elsewhere and find plenty of reputable vendors that don't require FE.
Although sometimes it's worth the risk especially if they're a top-rated vendor with 99%+ feedback.
-
Thanks, for the advice. I found Underground Syndicate, Hypnotiquestatz and Off the Wagon to be highly rated, don't require FE, and have delivered product to me super fast and stealthy. The only thing is, I haven't had a chance to assess the quality of the product.
What is the best way to provide feedback, if everything else is good, but the quality isn't. Quality is very important (especially purity), and there doesn't seem to be an obvious way to provide good feedback.
-
If it arrives and has good stealth, leave 5/5. You can comment on the quality in the feedback box.

Nevita is also a good seller......you have to FE, but its very comunicative and helpful!
-
They do that because ....once customers receive the product...they never finalize....or they play that game of "dude I never got my package"......lots of scammers.......I my mind if you have a tracking number....you gonna receive your package....have used usps over 500 times never had a package lost....have had some get re-routed and it took like 10-14 days to get where they were going...but never had one lost......now if the customer gives bad information...bad address....bad name "joe schmo" bill clinton, stupid crap....ya shit could happen.....
venders just want to make sure they get paid....end of story......the choice is yours.

What feedback box?

+1 for that yoooooooo
-
I choose to find vendors who do not require FE. It's all up to you.
-
never ever fuckin FE!!!!!
-
Prefer and try not to FE. Most reputable established vendors won't require it.
Some of the ones requiring it is so they can get the money back out of the system to buy more stock quicker.
-
I agree. I will choose only vendors that will not demand FE.

Maple:
What feedback box?
When you finalize, you will get a page that will give you options for rating from 1/5 to 5/5, and a box next to it that says "Leave feedback here."
If you do finalize early, you can also go back and edit this feedback by going to your account page and clicking "View Feedback"

Thanks for this thread!
I'm in a similar situation. As a first time buyer, I have a seller (FreeToDecide) that wants me to FE on a package already marked as "in transit"
He has good ratings, a lot of feedback, etc. He's offering the tracking number for FE, basically.
What would you do?
-
I finalized early for Muse my first purchase. Received one week later. I can trust him but i'd be very weary of finalising early for anyone else.
-
I have decided I will seek only vendors that do not require FE.

Ah. I didn't know about the "View Feedback" option. Key. Thanks, Maple. You're a wealth of good info.

Thanks for the heads up on Nevita, he's someone I was looking at, and thanks as well Smog for this thread as it's been a subject that's been bothering me the last few days as I try to figure all this out.I think I just about drove Smile Market crazy with my first time stupidity, although I did not make a purchase w/him, I thank him for his patience. Does anyone have any good word on FE as far as PablosPuro goes?
-
I agree Twohat, but it's hard as a first time buyer to make that leap of faith, particularly when I'm making a fairly large purchase for my budget.

I will never FE early with any seller. Does no one remember the seller that used to be apart of SR? I forgot his name but he was a legend.
He started from nothing and worked his way up the ranks as one of the top rated vendors. Eventually his order volume became so large that he started asking for FE so he could have the funds to produce those orders. This goes on great, so many people on the SR forums supporting him and justifying his new FE policy. He is fulfilling his FE orders as promised and no one is getting screwed over. Everyone is happy and his business grows even more.
One day however he completely disappears, his volume of product gets so massive with enough FE purchases that he disappears with approximately $120,000 of BTC at the time.
Some of his defenders say he will come back. But the man was a scam artist doing a long con on the SR forums, and he did damn good.
This story is why I will never FE even if the seller is legendary.

There's risk everywhere with this unfortunately. There's risk buying bitcoin, risk holding onto bitcoin for any amount of time, risk with shipping on both ends, risk with identity, risk of financial loss.
-
There's risk we can control, like escrow. It's there for a reason. If we all refused to FE, there would be no one demanding it.
Sorry if that sounded a little, "you may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one." : )
-
I did my first two orders yesterday and I am waiting on them to get out of processing. One vendor wants FE for new customers, the other did not mention it. I am willing to give it a shot since the one vendor has good feedback but in a perfect world I wouldn't want to FE ever.
-
I have been able to find top-rated vendors that have great product reviews, that do not require FE for MDMA, canabis, and LSD. I will sing their praises.
-
finalize deeznutz
-
I'm going to go ahead an FE with Nevita, I was short like a .5 bitcoin, and he cut me some slack, and has been a great communicator so far. I feel comfortable and confident that it will work out just fine (he has great feedback/seller history), BUT the proof is in the pudding...So I'll give you guys the skinny in a week or so. Wish me luck.

cool

My advice: Don't do it.
Escrow system is there for a reason. It's to keep vendors from screwing us. It works. It's not perfect and it can be abused by someone malicious enough, but more often than not, those who do are blacklisted by both buyers and vendors alike.
Do your research and buy from vendors who are newb-friendly or just outright awesome and don't ask for the early finalization. Everyone (usually) wins!
-
what is the chance of getting ripped off by a vendor with a rating near 100? You would expect new users to give a bad rating if they get scammed right? Or can someone delete their review?
The vendors that have my specific request all need me to FE and I don't want to be ripped off.

You can't completely trust most of the feedback for vendors with FE as a policy, cause it's mostly 5/5s with "FE" as the comment. Check the forums for people raising the alarm. Also I wouldn't risk more than $100 to FE.

blojan: Honestly, you can never tell. That's why word of mouth (the forums) is your best bet for finding out if a vendor is sketchy or not. Close to a year ago, the #1 vendor on SR pulled off the biggest scam of this site's history, and if memory serves me right, he had close to 100% customer satisfaction. Just do your homework and ask if you're not sure, you'll figure out how this works.
-
If vendors require fe then I hope they provide a tracking number for the package...in any situation I would prefer a tracking number whether they FE or not
-
never finalize early, if you do it's your own fault for taking funds out of escrow.

Does anyone have any good word on FE as far as PablosPuro goes?
@wayneperfect, I'd be wary of Pablospuro for the moment unless things improve with him. Seems like his reputation for great coke is quickly being tarnished by his reputation for shipping issues, and not honoring his own policy of shipping in 72hours (which is a pretty generous window already to wait for orders to ship)...
As of today there are a rash of buyers on his forum that haven't received their order, and some have been waiting over 10 days and counting... I happened to be one of them, but luckily I did receive my order but it took forever. I ordered on 1/28, he marked it 'in transit' on 1/31, then finally got my order yesterday (2/6) and I'm only 1 state away from him. More concerning is that he marked the order in transit but didn't actually ship it out until 5 days after marking it in transit, so that is completely unacceptable and dishonest to say the least... I'm 100% sure because I looked up the tracking # online when my package finally arrived.
Before you order anything from Pablo do yourself a favor and check out his review thread, especially the posts over the last several days as the shipping issues have been affecting several customers at a rather alarming rate. Right now I'd say play it safe and dont take any chances (FE or not) for the time being and hopefully there will be a good outcome, etc... There was another coke vendor that just got banned last week (alexander68) for what appeared to be selective scamming. TONS of people FE'd for orders from him and never received anything so they're screwed.. :( Stick with escrow whenever you can, its a great system BUT if there are problems with your order, your money will be tied up for a while until the resolution center steps in to help.
Here's a link to Pablos review thread that picks up right around the time we started discussing the order issues:
