Hi,
Thinking about opening a PO box for orders rather than having it shipped to my home. I was wondering if the standard (what is it, 3.5"x5.5"?) PO box will accomodate a priority mail envelope? Will they try to shove it in there? Or do they leave a note and you pick it up from the counter? I'd prefer to stay away from the counter if at all possible, just out of paranoia ;)
If not, what's the best way to get PO Box deliveries without having to deal with postal workers?

Yeh, sort of. The small envelope will fit although it bends a bit. If I were you I'd get a slightly bigger one so it won't have to. You can go to the post office and check/fit the envelopes they give with the boxes available. Also, make sure you tell the vendor the box size.

They almost always bend it to fit. Rarely the leave a slip to come up to the front desk.

I've found the next size up might be a better choice if your getting things like Priority packages and usually doesn't cost much more.

No way can you count on standard Flat Rate envelopes to fit inside the small PO boxes. Same goes for the next size up although sometimes they will jam them in there if the pkg is bendable enough. If you want to guarantee all flat rate envelopes you receive will fit into your box you have to get the 11 x 5.5 inch box.
If the issue is the rental cost and not availability..my advice is to reconsider your priorities.

yes be smart as a buyer I do EVERYTHING i can for stealth as a vendor, why wouldnt you do the same on your end? its a lot easier...
