Title: PGP on Mac 10.8 Mountain Lion
Post by: SunnyCat on November 21, 2012, 10:28 pm
Hi,

first of all please don't tell me I have to read a few hours to solve my problem, because I did!

As I mentioned in the topic, I want to encrypt messages, like my address on SR, and that kind of stuff. I already installed the gpgtools and imported some keys to test it. In my opinion encrypting/decrypting a text in TextEdit works fine, but, if I try to encrypt my address in a forum-pm, the recipient tells me that the msg was empty. I followed the instructions in this thread:

http://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion/index.php?topic=7753.0

1. Does gpgtools or an alternative program work on mac 10.8?
2. I read something about encrypting with the command-line. How do I actually manage it and where do I find it?

I would rally appreciate it, if you could help me out with that issue.
Maybe someone faced the same problem and found a solution already!  :-[

Thank you guys!

Okay I'll check it out. Can you tell me why it's more safety or what are its advantages?

Thx
