Title: Poppy pod tea...
Post by: otto325 on August 21, 2011, 03:00 am
One of the first things I purchased here a couple months ago...now I'm all out and wish I had some more :( :D

If I could remember who the seller was I would contact them...It was sent from Austria that's all I remember. Does know the seller who had it back in may/june?

Just a friendly note to the above two posters: if you've ever made poppy tea, it takes a LOT of ground up poppies to make enough tea for one nice dose.  I can't imagine that amount of powder would fit in anything remotely resembling a "tea bag".

The size would be about the size of a normal man's scrotum sack...roughly. ;)  Just FYI...pls continue  8)

Poppy tea is awesome, especially when made properly. Problem is, I can't seem to find anyone willing to sell dried pods for prices like I used to pay a year or two ago, like say ~$1 a pod which is still pretty expensive. I had a source in Arizona who quit the biz I guess. Seeing as dried pods are legal in the US (well its more of a grey area) you would think there'd be less of a black market premium. Ebay kicked off all the pod sellers, that was a big issue. I make a beastly poppy tea having made it dozens of times, I don't see why I wouldn't be able to ship out gallons of it and label it as apple cider vinegar (bc thats an ingredient I use and it disguises the smell magnificently and is the same color as poppy tea). Would be a nice side biz.
