Title: UK Speeding fine loophole?
Post by: ws on September 26, 2013, 01:36 pm
OK years ago I got speeding ticket through post, a friend of mine said just rip it up and keep ripping them up and ignore unless they send a letter "Recorded" I done this, they sent me two letters which i ignored and never heard anything back.

Has anyone done this recenetly, I'm not sure if they have clamped down on this. One friend said he sent first letter back without a signature on bottom then ignore the rest and pretend he hadn't received them. From what I gather they have 6 months to get you to court otherwise they can't do you so use as much delay tactics as poss?

A lot of people have said they dont chase up as courts are busy and there are worse crimes they are dealing with than someone driving 10MPH over speed limit.

Anyone dodged a fine/points recently?  :)

I've just looked into it, it is 6 months, going to use delay tacics, can't think of anyone who might have license who doesn't drive off top of my head, will ask around though!  :)
