many countries have immigration rules related to marriage I hear stories of people paying $30,000 to marry an American. The laws are a total mess and in any event people may like to talk about it on SR. So if any one thinks selling match making would be a good idea here post.

Family law isn't my fortay but man this idea sounds interesting to me! PM me if you have anyone in mind, such as yourself.

Fake marriages are big business, but I have no idea if it would work on SR.
If you as an US citizen want to bring someone to the US to marry, you have to marry within 90 days after arrival. You need evidence of your relationship (you can't just say "we're together", you need proof), obviously he/she needs a valid passport and other documents, like police certificates from his/her home country and every country he/she has lived in, birth certificates, court and prison reports, evidence of financial report, etc. You'll need an interview where fingerprints will be taken, medical examinations, etc. It's pretty much the same if you've already married outside the US.
If the person can obtain all the required documentation and both "partners" stay calm during the interview, it shouldn't be too difficult I guess. Faking documents... Well, I'll leave that up to you.
Certain conditions and activities may make an applicant ineligible for a visa. Examples of these ineligibilities include: drug trafficking; overstaying a previous visa; and submitting fraudulent documents.
Attempting to obtain a visa by the willful misrepresentation of a material fact or fraud may result in you becoming permanently ineligible to receive a U.S. visa or enter the United States.

As I said, I don't know if there is any interest on SR, but I know that there are Russian companies specializing in these kind of things.

Just some general info I know about since my SO lives in another country and we will/are be going through this.
1. US takes this shit seriously. You'll need to prove the relationship with pictures, cards, receipts, phone logs you name it and the longer a period you can prove the better. Only known each other 3-6 months? GOOD LUCK!
2. Here is the big one. If by some chance you do get past all the paper work and interviews. YOU are responsible for that person for 10 that's TEN YEARS! Get a divorce after only 1 year? US government isn't going to take care of her, so it's all on you! So you think that $30k is a good deal for you? Hell, it's a better deal for her! She pays you $30k once and you support her here in the US for the next 10 years regardless of what happens with the marriage.
