Title: the total btc transactions (24 hrs) - alarming

looking at bitcoinwatch.com (clearnet warning)


Only 4k @ mtgox and 3k@bitstamp... in last 24hrs .... pretty small.... anyone else see that as a red flag/ alarming?

just means that the algorithms that the miners are mining are becoming increasingly difficult....the market has stabilized for now, but I am curious as to what happens in the coming months especially during the holidays. It will be interesting to say the least as to what will happen during these months...

What happens when the BTC market crashes?
I mean, it's inevitable...there's only so much data to be mined.
Do we switch to Litecoins?
There's no real "backing" for any of this currency.

Someone needs to develop a Tor-esque version of paypal or something similar.

Keep it clean and simple...but untraceable :)

You don't seem to understand bitcoins.  I don't think the mining wont be finished in your lifetime.  Also, when it is finished, that does not matter.  Bitcoins hold value as long as people are willing to pay for them.
