Title: Instawallet security threat?
Post by: PermanentlySpun on April 26, 2012, 05:27 am
"www.instawallet.org uses an invalid security certificate.

The certificate expired on 4/25/2012 11:28 PM. The current time is 4/26/2012 5:21 AM."

Get this when I try to log onto instawallet. Should this be a concern?

It is probably nothing to worry about.  As a web admin I usually find out my certs expire the same way. :P  It is an easy fix and once I'm notified of the problem it takes a few minutes to resolve.

I sign my own certs, but Instawallet has their cert signed thru "EssentialSSL CA" certificate authority.

It looks like they resolved the problem with a new cert on 4/24 and it expires on 7/24.
