Being a buyer-
I've had some great transactions here and some bad ones. Almost all bad ones have included the vendor asking me to finalize early. People, it really does make a big difference if someone has all of your money or not. Even if you don't finalize early, the vendor still has half your money instantly so don't think they don't have anything from you. Remember, 1 BTC roughly is about $6-$7. Keep that in mind also. Even though SR is a great place to be anonymous I've seen the highest prices ever on some items. Please choose your items smart and NEVER finalize early. The finalization process has been installed for your protection, USE IT. I did have a perfect record, until I thought I was being nice and finalized early for someone. Bad idea. Please be careful and take care.

New buyers also use the escrow system to scam vendors and get their drugs for half price, so thats why this is done sometimes.
Also you can create a new buyer account when your refund rating gets too high, FE is a good way to ensure new buyers have good intentions and care about building a good rate.

I refuse to finalize early period but I can understand why some vendors require it for new members. But vendors like neuroticnarcotic who require everybody to finalize early really irk me. Why should I have to finalize early when I spend lots of money on SR and have a 0% refund rating and perfect buyer stats.
dondada, I couldn't agree more. You've echoed my thoughts precisely. ;D Well said!

I only require new buyers to FE and I think that's fair. I mean if a new buyer purchases something from that is $1000+, it hurts me and other customers when it's tied up in escrow for several days even though they received their order and for some unknown reason don't want to finalize. If a vendor asks you to finalize early for no good reason then cancel your order and look for a new vendor.

I can totally understand your point of view Delta11. New buyers need to understand that a vendor might require early finalization and accept that we all have to start somewhere. When starting out, a buyer must decide weather they finalize early ( if asked to ) or look else where. I was mainly referring to buyers not making there first purchase however as there are many scammers still lurking around trying to rip off vendors, I understand where you as a vendor are coming from. 8)
