Title: Thoughts on LTC?
Post by: LibertyCoin on June 27, 2013, 05:20 pm
With Mt.Gox accepting it soon what are the chances or SR implementing it as another currency? I imagine BTC prices will drop drastically the day of release throwing off vendor sales. Any thoughts?

I thinking about this several days...

If the btc continues to grow and will soon be difficult to use for small transactions...

Maybe the solution is to use the LTC in the future (on the Road)

I hope that makes sense some of what I said :P

Both could be right. My guess is Btc will drop and Ltc will rocket the opening day bases on people wanting to diversify their digital currency portfolio. Only time will tell but I'm def investing into some prior to Mt.GOX release.

I really don't see the point of LTC. At all. There may be space for different cryptocurrencies, but LTC is more-or-less a straight copy of BTC technically, so there's zero point. And BTC has the mindshare, and the investment, so I can't imagine why people would want to use LTC.

I'm not sure, I mean btc-e already offers trading between various currencies and cryptocurrencies, will it really be such an ephiphany when mtgox starts trading it?

I think most of LTC's action right now is from speculators hoping the same price explosion happens that occurred with BTC.

ltc has faster transactions times, that is one thing going for it... but i can't see Silkroad adopting it yet...

My opinion is nuetral on what the short term affect on BTC to USD and LTC to USD  will be but in the long term if LTC catches on and SR adopts it (which i am a huge supporter of) then it will be mutually beneficial for both cryptos and the marketplace.
