Title: Detailed Video on TOR hidden services
Post by: Euphoric on March 15, 2013, 02:02 pm
Found this interesting video that has a very detailed explanation of how TOR hidden services work:

Skip to about 60 minutes into the video, because the episode also talks about a lot of other topics.

That was really interesting.
I didn't think that the government would approve of Tor, now I find out that they funded it. They funded it so that they can conduct cyber warfare with the same anonymity as a Tor user is afforded. It's open source so that everything is checked for security. By the way that it connects (at 1:26 in the video, one hour and 26 minutes) it is also impervious to DDOS attacks. I didn't know that, and that is interesting. The hidden service has to give permission for the client to connect.
Very, very interesting. Good video!
