Title: Express shipping on saturday-sunday arrival?!?
Post by: ReggieHadHeart on August 03, 2013, 06:37 am
So, I googled this, and apparently they DO deliver express packages on sunday.
Is this really true?
Just to give you an idea of distance (these are random states) let's say you were shipping something from Deleware to oklahoma..would that really arrive the next day, even sunday's?

I'm gonna place an order soon, most likely tomorrow morning,  and I'd love to have it on Sunday...but something tells me that's too good to be true.  If it's not possible, if I do place an order on Saturday, what would the difference be between express and priority? I'm assuming E would arrive Monday, and P would arrive Tues or Weds?

Again, I DID google this, so please don't direct me to LMGTFY...I was just wondering what YOUR experiences were with this.

Thanks

When I prepare shipment, among the various options available, you can check the box indicating you're OK with a Sunday delivery (or that you request it instead of waiting until Monday?) - so I usually go with the default, but when I can I ask the customer first what their preference is. So far I've no experience with an actual Sunday delivery happening though.

I imagine it's highly variable - dependent on distance between sender and recipient, among other things.

Thanks a ton for the reply.
On the USPS site, it says that Sunday delivery is possible, but I believe it mentions a "slight extra charghe." It's been a while since I read exactly what it said, and I'm busy trying to climb to 50 posts right now..is it an extra few bucks?

"Sunday and holiday delivery service available for a small fee"

How much of a fee? I don't know.
