so, customs just showed up asking for me, they are bringing me to the police station in an hour for questioning. Im going to go with full denial but i got more packages on the way. Im taking this as a bad sign to lay lowww for a while. Fuck lets hope to god i dont get arrested. They said they think i have hash in them but its most likely dmt and ice.
-
More details please...
What country are you in?
What did you order and amount?
Make sure you lawyer up and deny everything. All the best, if this is not a troll post!
-
Finland, The amount is half gram ice, 400mg dmt and about a gram of weed. Its to my real first name and real adress, i read online that there should be no worry's when ordering to finland. I will deny everything and lets hope things go well. Just moved here from cali so i have no idea what my rights are in finland. Fuck!
-
Just to clarify...
they are bringing me to the police station in an hour for questioning.
In the mean time, what is happening.. Did they leave again? That's rather informal. If you're a suspect in a drug case, why do they not bring you to the station with them now?
-
In the meantime im shitting my pants wondering if they'll get a search warrant. Gotta clear out the grow room (cries). No idea why they didnt bring me straight to the police station.. maybe because it was customs not real police? idk cross your fingers for me. Ill post an update if everything goes well.

Gnome,
Make sure you ALWAYS check their ID's and find out from what Agency they represent. Then make sure you speak to some legal counsel, you just moved to Finland so you most likey are unfamiliar with their legal system.
You are also mistaken, Finland's customs are very efficent and are on par with Australia.
Don't waste any time! Destroy all evidence of drug use NOW!
God speed to you. I hope it all works out, please play the game in a smart way.

I went in for questioning and turns out they only had found 2 of the orders weed and dmt. They didnt know what the dmt was but had seized it because it was from the same country as the weed. Exchangeservice had wrapped it in newspaper i guess so it was easy to find? Not sure, not blaming anyone just happy i didnt get in more trouble. Since they couldn't prove i ordered it, they just let me go.

Isn't heroin legal in Finland? Or it was Norway? Anyway, stay low for a while.

Did ever have a profile in a social network or similar?
Talk with your lawyer, but, I think you can say you put all your personal info in a profile at once and you suspect somebody stole your information.
And for me, that's half true. When I had facebook, ICQ, orkut, twitter and this kind of stuff, I had put there my real address, phone and these kind of things.
-
i thought you said you didnt use your real name? and that 2 of 3 packages you received. all the forums say dont use your real name.

Without an admission of guilt, they have NOTHING. LEO's job in this case is to go fishing. The reason they did not take you immediately was they did not have enough on you. The other reason is to give you time to break down so they can get an easy confession.
Unless the LEO has been watching you or you are a BIG timer, this is as far as most interactions in any country will go. If you break down, you are busted. If you are released, you were calm and in control during the interview.
I would not send any goods to this address for quite sometime, perhaps never, just to be safe. Could you if needed, IMO certainly but with a slightly elevated risk. Just bear in mind that since they talked to you, dozens of other people have fucked up by trying to talk their way out it or just straight-up admitting it, thus going to jail and filling arrest quotas. There are always easier fish to fry daily and most won't pass that interview you successfully endured.

Why wouldn't you use your real name?
Makes no sense to me that all of a sudden your primary address starts getting shipments in random names. The feedback that I have heard from a lot of people is to make the postage appear as normal as possible. If I suddenly start to get mail to an address under the name of "Joe Bloggs", however I have been getting mail to the address under my real name for years -- to me that throws up a big red sign.
Depends how you do it. I use a business name and have for years. I write "Attention: MR. Anderson, and have never had a problem. I change the Att: *name* all the time because 1) they have no idea how many employees I have, if any, and 2) if a LL is sent, they have a person to address the seizure letter to.
I have NEVER used my real name on ANY package.
Just wanted to add the sequence for USPS when sorting mail:
State
Zip code
City
Street address
Name (by far the LEAST important line)

Is this for real? Something does not quite add up. I can't quite put my finger on it but something here smells a bit fishy.
-
I think the smell is 3-day old bait.

None of the forums say don't use your real name. In fact, the main thread which is advice from an former postal inspector intern says using a fake name is the worst thing you could do, because it causes suspicion.
-
For P.O. Box is good to use your real name too?

It all depends how or if you have set this up. Your real name never has to appear nor does it have to raise any undue suspicion.
@wannabud: Are you asking about setting one up or sending to an existing one? Unless you have good fake ID, you are not likely to get a USPS box. Perhaps a small, independent company box is doable.
As far as sending to it, read above. It takes a little work but can easily be done.

Not everyone wants to, or has the ability to set up a fake business and have mail sent to the "CEO" or "Accounts", etc. So, unless they're doing that option, or having it sent to a friend's house, people still should use the real name. There are countless threads which reiterate the reasons. As hundreds of posts have said, if the packaging is done correctly, professionally, and vacuum sealed, your real name and address, with personal amounts, blends perfectly in with the rest of your mail.

Just to receive. If I want a P.O. Box without my name, problably I would use a stooge. I think in Brazil there is no independent company box.
The problem is the contract says you can't sublet your Box, so I think "no name" could be better than fake name, but I really don't know.
I think if I use my true name and true address, I could have a an excuse: I put my personal info in a social network without access restrictions (and that was true in the past, but neve bring me a problem) and some europe guy resolved to troll me.
But using my P.O. Box with my name, it is hard to say something like this happens...
-
To be, or not to be, that is the question.
-
@happytree
I reading that thread yet. Where is the post he says its better not use a fake name. I think if it is the name of the previous resident of the house (if you still receiving his correspondence) could be a good idea anyway.
But if it's better use your true name, what's the utility of a P.O. Box?
-
I would read the entirety of the "Postal Inspector Ask Me Anything" thread. All of these scenarios/questions are asked and answered at length.
The P.O. Box option is difficult (but not impossible) to use a fake name, because you must present ID documents when opening, but it's possible.
The purpose of a P.O. Box is that if a LE sting is set up, the would not likely have the time/wherewithal to sit and wait for days for you to come retrieve your package. But you never know.
Again, read all the shipping/safety threads, and Postal Inspector ones, for what you think is your best bet.
