So I bought a new laptop and tried to encrypt the entire laptop using trucrypt but it says it cannot do this becuase of the GUID partition. What in the world does this mean? What are other ways I can encrypt entire laptop? Please help?
So if i do just put tor on a flash drive and encrypt that instead here are my questions
1. Tor will be on the flash drive but if I open tor browser from the flash it will still open a browser on my laptop? how is that not someway trackable
2. I have been logging on to tor normally last few weeks with tor being downloaded to my laptop. How can I be 100 percent sure I wipe my hard drive clean of all tor related files?
3 since tor has been using a browser how can i be sure it would never show up if compromised after I move tor to a flash drive.
Ideally i want to encrypt my entire laptop i simply feel more comfortable. please help1!!!

You cant encrypt files and folders that the OS relies on.
When you use encryption you have to specify the folders that are to be encrypted and these should be folders that contain only your data.

I stand corrected, it appears that TrueCrypt creates a virtual partition that it then moves the OS to.
