This is my first time upgrading tails and I cant get it to work. Burned the new ISO to a dvd and used that dvd to start tails. Im to the point that I hit browse to select the ISO to burn from. But Im trying to burn from the image on the dvd that is currently booted. I dont know what to select to burn from. When I select tails "live" and "syslinux" pop up on the menu on the right. No matter which one I select it dosent do anything and Im stumped.
Any suggestions??

Nobody has upgraded tails?

I'm not sure I understand exactly what problem you are having, but maybe try burning the tails live cd from windows?

The problem Im having is upgrading a tails usb. Have the new image burnt onto a dvd. Just cant figure out what to select as the new iso source to upgrade with.

If you boot into Tails from the DVD, you can install Tails on a USB stick. Application>SystemTools>Tails USB installer

I have got that far but Im trying to upgrade a usb with the old tails version. After I select the usb to upgrade you have to hit browse to select the new version to use in the upgrade. This is where I hit a brick wall. No matter what I try to select it dosent do anything and dosent give be the option to continue the upgrade.

Figured it out. I needed to select "clone & upgrade" instead of "upgrade from iso".

This is my first time attempting to upgrade tails, i use the 2 usb sticks method. Would appreciate some guidance on how to do this, i forsee a problem when trying to swipe tails from my primary usb stick since it never shows up as a device anymore in window's. I have all the necessary programs just need a little direction. Thanks in advance

I don't know if it is the fastest method with 2 USB sticks. But it worked :D
-I copied tails.iso on fresh usb(1) stick (format it if it was tails-stick otherwise windows doesn`t read it)
-copied tails.iso on persistent drive on old tails (usb(2))
-installed tails by upgrade from iso to usb(1)
-run tails from usb(1)
-Clone&upgrade on usb(2)
perfectly running usb(2) with tails and untouched persistent
