all this gun talk, gun debate, its all the feds. theyre the sellers/plants. they successfully infiltrated and getting big heat on the site by selling guns. cant believe u all fell for it so easy. game over now. just warning/telling you the obvious, u think its all a big coincidence. what a joke.

I recommend setting up a test drop site as a controlled experiment, with only trusted buyers in on it. Please stick to PGP, TorIM, whatnot to sort it out.
-
I'm drunk and we are both new, but I don't understand how new attention will affect the outcome of this site except to bring more users? If there are vulnerabilities, gun sales won't change that.
-
i think all these gun posts on the forum saying 'yeah motherfucker lets sell guns in here! america!' are feds too
-
You should be grateful to the gun vendors, that article brought more attention and also more clients to SR and this is the thanks we get? You ungrateful bunch of anti gun nuts

Well, that sounds a little paranoid, but whatever. The Feds don't need to do this to corroborate any case they try to make.

It's question of resources, and the mentality behind fear as a motivator:
Drugs are bad. Guns are bad, but an American tradition. However: Drugs + guns = terrorism.
And there is no limit to how far the US govt. will go, in both keeping people in fear of an imaginary demon, and thusly pursuing the imaginary demon wherever American government decides to to set up shop.
I'm definitely pro-gun, but I'm even more pro-drug. Allowing the US Govt to validate its hype that drug dealers=terrorists by throwing guns into the mix is a bad idea. Battles should be chosen wisely.

...they may be advertised but doubt any of them are the real deal, obviously can't confirm which buyers actually get these 'guns' nor do i believe it would be possible
to get any thru the postal system.
-
first thing i thought when i saw all the listings go up.
then the stupid trolls in the forums. god damn.
why can't all these pricks just die in a huge sarin accident :'(
-
- yes and no
-
The only conspiracy they need is one lie and a messenger to spread it. Why would they bother selling guns, they just have to write a memo to the news broadcasters in the room next door, and whatever the massive amounts of idiots in the world want to believe becomes reality, American style.

This guys got it spot on. 100%.

We were blind all along. Get ready people, the feds are trying to find bigfoot on jupitor.
-
I can't imagine the Feds would set anyone up on SR for purchasing personal amounts of drugs... it would lead to nothing and is not worth their time. But gun sales are a different matter. I wouldn't be surprised if most gun vendors were connected to the feds.
-
All the anti-gun people on SR are truly fascinating. I say it's the Feds creating these anti gun threads.
But really, where do the anti gun SR members get their balls from to tell everyone else whether gun sales should be permitted or not.
Freedom of choice should apply not only to drugs but guns too, unless you are a hypocrite.
Remember guys, its the criminals who don't really have a hard time getting the weapons, even in relatively difficult places like certain cities.
Guns will inevitably be widespread amongst criminals, SR at least gives everyone the equal opportunity to arm themselves.
Keep in mind, there is obviously a demand for guns. We need fine businessman to supply the demand.
If the gun sales continue smoothly, this can give us even more confidence in the technology backing SR. See this as a test ;)
Where my TRUE LIBERTARIANS at?

According to a June 2009 Government Accountability Office (GAO) report, about 87 percent of firearms seized by Mexican authorities and traced over the past 5 years originated in the U.S. (GAO, p. 1), or about 20,000 firearms.

Documents obtained by CBS News show that the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) discussed using their covert operation "Fast and Furious" to argue for controversial new rules about gun sales.
In Fast and Furious, ATF secretly encouraged gun dealers to sell to suspected traffickers for Mexican drug cartels to go after the "big fish." But ATF whistleblowers told CBS News and Congress it was a dangerous practice called "gunwalking," and it put thousands of weapons on the street. Many were used in violent crimes in Mexico. Two were found at the murder scene of a U.S. Border Patrol agent.

If there's a war going on, not only are corrupt old men going to get their hands dirty, but they likely started the entire thing in the first place.

I know! how about a separate SR for guns? then they can all go shoot each other and we can just relax:)
-
yea lets put all the little dick bug fucker cop infiltrators on another web site where they can suck each other off
like what they are really good for. Who knows maybe u sick twisted Nazi pricks can go for a little desert
afterwards - Hershey highway g-boys?
Make another site for the pig infiltrators SR!!! I am sick of these needle dicks.
-
You are fuckin high on some good shit. The feds are not involved its just the media reporting what they observed. With that being said I am announcing my riterment from selling guns on silk road.
and now i feel bad :C
like, to devil's advocate here - if SR's survived and no gun policies have been enacted, then keep on keepin' on man, maybe everyone was just a little on edge with the outages and the articles all happening so fast :S

I very much think you could be right, i am NOT happy they're being sold !!!! I thought SR wasn't going to allow things that cause harm to people??? Whilst drugs are capable of harming people , they are mainly used by their users on themselves and mostly for enjoyment/experience, whilst Guns ARE solely for hurting people!!! No two doubts about it!!! SR admins PLEASE !!!! have a rethink about allowing guns for sale on here..NOT GOOD at all folks :'(

***Where my TRUE LIBERTARIANS at?****
Hypocrites you say hmmm , trying to twist the issue me thinks , i also think,"***Where my TRUE LIBERTARIANS at?****" you are so full of s**t!!! Nice attempt at misdirection smarty pants NOT ::)

Well said lilith2u !!!
I'm drunk and we are both new, but I don't understand how new attention will affect the outcome of this site except to bring more users? If there are vulnerabilities, gun sales won't change that.
So you think lots of members (esp those kind of NUTS) is a good thing, well i totally beg to differ!!!
It's question of resources, and the mentality behind fear as a motivator:
***********Drugs are bad. Guns are bad but an American tradition. However: Drugs + guns = terrorism!!!!!!*****

Again , well said....now just to raise a wee point myself...
A couple of years ago whilst doing my computer security degree here in the U.K. , when we touched on the subject of encryption / truecrypt etc we were made aware of a new law that had just been enacted (sorry i forget the name/am too lazy to look up for this post) to throw people in jail for up to 2 YEARS!!!! for failing to divulge their encryption keys/password ( i always wondered how the,"oh man i'm so stoned i forgot my PW" defence would hold up BUT anyway i digress a little.
We were also made aware that if you were also suspected of being concerned in terrorism the sentence for failing to divulge... shoots up (pardon the pun) to ******** 5 fucking YEARS!!******.
So NO i don't want guns sold on SR, if you make another site for guns that's cool because we don't have to have any involvement with them at all. Fuck being jailed for 5 YEARS of my life because of all you mad gun nuts!!!!! </end of rant>
PLEASE SR ADMINS, at least have a rethink on this, i really do hope your morals outweigh your need for profit on this issue

If they were to create another site for gun sales, then they'd obviously have to employ totally different and isolated servers to host it. Doubt it would be worth the effort.
Community pressure may be just enough to forestall any gun sales. Of course, we don't want to go into the area of having them banned. There is a slipper slope issue with that. But with community pressure which makes clear that the majority of members are against their sales, the seller of those guns must think twice. He would face an exponential rise in the risk of being scammed. Any anti gun opponents could easily start thread(s) stating that they were scammed and to not trust the seller or claim he's LEO. All of which would serve the purpose of tarnishing his reputation which would in turn make a buyer think twice about doing business with.

yeah thats really great ALOT of attention! when i signed up there wasn't any guns so why in the hell should i be grateful? huh? i sure as the hell didn't come here for the guns, and while we're on the subject of guns as an american i sure as the fuck would not sell a gun outside of the usa. for obvious reasons.
