A) Keep a low profile. Make sure you don't have any illegal substances sitting around your house.
B) If there's nothing in the contents of the text messages that would indicate that you had anything to do with your friend's acquisition of the drugs, don't worry.
C) Even if there is, that sort of evidence is circumstantial at best and probably not likely to lead to a warrant.
D) Don't pay anyone on here for advice. Unless someone here is actually a criminal defense attorney in your jurisdiction, anything that they tell you is, while well-intentioned, ultimately worthless.
In other words... if you're seriously worried, talk to a lawyer. Period.

The reason I even delt with him is because there was a high probably he would never give my name. You'd understand if I explained. Blackbird could u send me a private message please. Using my public pgp code

What he said, ^^ if you talk to 10 different people you will be told 10 different things. ONLY talk to someone who truly understands your situation based on your location as every jurisdiction is different even within the same country.

Why do people keep coming here for advice? This is the WORST place for advice. Some other guy asked for help with depression.
Anyways, call a lawyer.

First of all make sure you delete all txt messages. his number. Everything.
Also, if you use a phone to make 'business' related calls remember these things.
1. Never ever ever say anything on the phone. Keep it to "hey man, you wanna hang out."
2. Code words are very bad.
3. Establish a common interest (example computers ) and talk about repairing your computer or something.
----
Do not communicate over facebook or other clear link social media websites.
Read up on anti-forensic tactics. Here is a great website for if you want some info.
http://www.iiiweb.net/tscm/high-tech-investigative-surveillance-techniques/ --- Shows common equipment used for spying.
http://www.iiiweb.net/corporate-services/tscm-technical-surveillance-countermeasures/ --- Great info on phone taps. How to detect one. ect..
Only reason Im helping is because i have a similar situation that happened a few days ago. Except, I never say anything on the phone. Talking in person is the way to go.
Good luck!

First of all, deleting text messages on your phone does literally nothing to keep you safe. All of your texts are stored by your cell phone provider and can be produced if they get a subpoena.
Second, if the authorities have gone to all the trouble of tapping your phone, you are already fucked. They already know what you're up to, and it is just a matter of time until they make a move. It is not easy or inexpensive to get a wiretap, and if they have tapped your phone no amount of beating around the bush or using silly code phrases is going to keep you safe.
But you are correct in that any drug related conversation should happen in person, and you should never mention anything even remotely related to drug trade on any clearnet website.

Especially since you said you're willing to pay for advice. If you can't afford a lawyer, you probably can't afford to impress anyone on here who's worth impressing either.

they cannot subpoena txt from the carriers... even in the event of a life or death emergency... they have to be obtained other ways... the smart ones said... get a lawyer! and quick! do not tell a cop anything... theyll say your friend roll'd and tell him you did... all you can do is lie... just not to your lawyer... there has to be proof and without it... it has to come from your mouth or a third party witness... he will get a nasty slap on the wrist... but beats them knowing the whole shibang... conspiracy, organized crime... and what not dont even listen to me call a lawyer... and not the ones found in high times magazine... lol they are real though

Talk to a lawyer.
Almost every lawyer gives a FREE consultation over the phone. They do this to show they know what they're talking about, to see if they're interested in your case, and to sell you their services. A lot of people don't understand that you can talk to one completely free, it's all in how you pitch that initial phone call. You'd be surprised what you can learn in 5 minutes on the phone. And if you call a lawyer that refuses to help you at all, call the next one in the book; there are 1000's to pick from. You want a criminal lawyer, and if you call a wrong one, ask for a referral.
What I do is research to understand some of the terminology (right here on SR isn't a bad place to *start*, but definitely not your end point), get a list of questions, call a lawyer. More research, new questions, call a new lawyer. Repeat. It won't take you more than a day or two, and you'll have a good feel for what you're dealing with. It sounds like your first question is going to be about text messages. Look up information on circumstantial evidence as well (that may be what a text message is, depending on jurisdiction).
