As most who know me on here know.. I'm working like crazy to get my own vending game launched and start pulling in all those sweet profits. Lovely lovely profits. Happy thoughts there.
In the months while I waited for my harvest to come to fruition and getting all my stuff prepped.. I've made a few purchases on the Road.. mostly neato stuff I don't have easy access to IRL, or won't deal with certain people IRL in order to score.
This has been highly educational.. mostly, I'm sad to say, in a "bad example" kind of way.
Simply put.. (to paraphrase Samuel Jackson)
"What is with these motherfucking vendors on this motherfucking Road?"
I do wonder. And at last.. over some deep thought.. I have come to several conclusions I would like to share with others to help educate them and alleviate their emotional pain.
Things to remember...
1. Vendors usually *worry* about scammer buyers. This is what they do instead of go to the post office.
2. The best, least emotionally taxing attitude to take about expecting deliveries is to place an order, mark the Auto-Finalize date on your calender.. and check the mail the day before you would Auto-Finalize. If your shit has arrived (possibly) you will then be able to enjoy it, right after Finalizing so your stats don't take a hit. Don't worry about checking your mail before hand.. it's highly unlikely your shit will be there.
3. Do not believe in the "In Transit" setting. That would be hopelessly naive of you. "In Transit" is actually code-speak for "I am not going to let you cancel this order". It does not mean "Your Shit is In Transit to you". It doesn't even mean "I am packing up your shit to take it to the post office". In fact it doesn't even mean "I'm sorta planning to get to it once I finish smoking this meth / shooting this heroin / getting a blowjob". All it really means is "No you can't cancel this order".
4. Please understand that this is not amazon.com. You will not be receiving a message that thanks you for your order and another that confirms your shit is on it's way. Do not concern yourself with this. Vendors have many many things occupying their time.. like worrying about scammers and doing drugs. You will get your shit when they are good and ready. Possibly.
5. Just because your vendor of choice has a listing up is no guarantee that the shit you want is in his/her safe. Be prepared for them to have to go and buy the drugs you bought from them 48 hours ago. They will then (possibly) ship it, after smoking some meth and getting a blowjob. Maybe.
6. Remember.. your vendor has a danger filled existence utilizing the finest free security software money needn't buy, and has invested years of experience doing drugs to prepare them mentally and emotionally for the challenges involved in driving down to the post office to post you your shit. Be patient. They will (possibly) ship it, right after taking a few benzos to calm their nerves.. and getting a blowjob. Maybe.
In conclusion.. it behooves all buyers to keep a state of serenity and tranquility in their minds.. and remember.. right now is part of the waiting game.. and eventually, possibly, when the time is right, you might get your shit. Maybe.
After all.. what is this life of ours.. but a light on the screen of illusion and wanting.. that says..
"IN TRANSIT".
Namaste.

I couldn't agree more.
Having dealt with 2 week wait times on orders I can tell you the wait can be unnerving.
The best advice I can give to any buyer is to buy in bulk with the intention of having a large supple to hold you over until the next buy. I can't stress this enough because if you get in the habit of making frequent small buys (a weekends worth for example) then you will become dependent on frequent communications with your supplier.
This leads to added stress and slower shipping times for the rest of us.
Also be nice to your vendors :). They don't have to be shipping felonies internationally to your door step so I think its safe to say the all deserve to be commended.
Just my opinion.
-
Yes, just remember all that has been said from the OP when they become a vendor and you see the "in transit" :)
I've only had one mishap out of all my buys thus far. Otherwise, I usually received my shit within a couple days of said in transit.
-
Glad to see we're appreciated.. there's plenty of shit online sellers on amazon and other sites, SR isn't any different we're not all shit thanks.
-
I honestly don't give a shit about any of that. if you've marked something as being in transit and it isn't in the mail stream or in the postbox, you're lying. Nobody said this was amazon dot com but this isn't the streets either. Get your shit together or don't sell
-
Lol....this thread is funny as fuck. :P
-
#6 made me laugh so hard - but it might be because I'm really high.
thanks for this

Sounds like the vendors get a lot of head.
-
I haven't ordered a lot of stuff from a lot of vendors, but all of the vendors have been awesome and totally straight up with me.
Pfandleiher has been taking longer than usual on processing, but he still doesnt change it 'in transit' , new vendor Lonely Kamel processed my order in 24 hours, and sent me a message when he changed it to 'in transit' saying 'hey just dropped off your letter'
It would anger me if a vendor marked a package 'in transit' when it really wasn't, but I don't order from people without looking into em before, so i usually stick with reputable vendors.
Thats just my personal experience though.
-
I get excited when I see 'in-transit', it's just what I do... If that excitement is killed by the realization a week later that my stuff still hasn't arrived, it's something of a major irritation. Vendors should only mark in-transit once they're like, 3 hours from dropping it in the post office box,
-
I recently ordered from a vendor and choose express shipping. It stayed in processing for 2 days until i messaged him and asked him if he got the order out, then he changed it to in transit. It kills me when i order express and it processes for more time then it should be "in transit". Good thing is if i don't get the order by Wednesday then i know he was lying when he said he put in the mail. My choices then become asking for my money back on my express shipping cause it took 3 days to get and express is guaranteed 2 days max or calling out the vendor for lying to me about when he put it in the mail.
-
I think there should be a "confirm order" option along with a "shipped" option that sellers could use.
It would help buyers to feel more at ease.
-
I don't mark shit shipped until I get home and wait a few hours before getting on and confirming them all IN TRANSIT
-
I would mark it as in transit before you leave the house. That way the person can't cancel the order as your driving, and fuck you over.
I don't know how canceling works, but that would suck.

yup, this happened to me when I first started, I let that nasty little turd have it. Fortunately it was a small order.

I mark in transit as soon as I start a packaging session, then there is absolutely no way I can get fucked over and left with a spare letter.
-
Well in my experience in transit tends to mean in transit. Vendors want you to finalise and get their cash.. therefore they send you the product
-
Putting on my asbestos suit, getting read for flames, and fuck karma, I have plenty to burn.
1) The "in transit" switch should only be flipped when that shit is in the hands of whatever backwoods receptacle passes for a mailbox/post office in your redneck hick town.
2) Real vendors communicate constantly with their buyers. They let them know that their packs are out, they give them a very general ETA, they remind them of the rules of the road as well as their personal expectations re: FE/AF. Make an order with 3dames for the real vendor experience
3) Your risk filled lives as vendors, come with a nice juicy fat carrot called.. wait for it.. fat profits. We buyers have to give some cracked out meth-head, luddite computer fail who thinks Norton Anti-virus and Tor is all he needs to be secure. Thinks AES-Twofish is the special at Red Lobster. You have real shipping addresses in your hands, in plain text and in encrypted form with your private key probably loaded on some USB you keep right next to your fucking PC/Mac. When 5-0 busts you, they spent weeks tailing and intercepting your packs, they have peoples addresses in hand, and when you refuse to co-operate, cause your not a snitch bitch.. guess who they go after individually for obstruction of justice and subpoenas with? That's right.. your hapless clients who just wanted a 1/4 oz for a weekend party. (Ask any domestic customer of MiN's how their life is going right now).
4) Ohhh, a terrible buyer scammed you on an oz of product, or a gram of flake/mdma/mdaa/2c-? Whatever. The 3 to 4x price hikes on the road charged on EVERY product on here ($36 for a lucy hit?! Yep, that seems about right,) more than covers you for the occasional scam buyer. You want to see how real scams work, look at Vendors and the 10s of thousands they make off with. Tony76, HybridMike, USD, ItalianPilot, just off the top of my head.
5) Vendors.. don't be dickholes. Burn our addresses the moment you send out the packs. Use in transit switch for only that reason.. because it's out of your hands. Communicate early and often, and realize that drug buyers are a nervous bunch by nature. It's a nervous business. We are all a little shady, but should follow the honor among thieves code and stop fucking each other over

That is some funny ass shit.... Just wondering who's giving the blowjobs? Have had good transactions thus far on SR BTW, but first time for everything.
-
My two cents on this is for the Op a buyer placing a big order or small order does not matter. Many small first time buys are buyers testing the waters to check out your stealth in delivery which places them in danger to test out your product before investing a large amount of funds into it and to see what your attitude is like. Me personally I view you as a young kid with no business experience in dealing with customers. Each other should be looked at with equal importance and cared for in the same manner. You never know the buyer purchasing one gram of coke or MDMA may be a millionare just wanting to see what he is buying. They become millionaires for a reason. they do not just toss money around without knowing what thy are getting. The guy buying 2 8 balls may have just pawned his tv and guitar to feed his drug habit and is truly broke as a joke. Now you gave your attention and priority to the junkie (and I really don't think junkie is a bad term many consider me one. I am just a daily user of what makes me happy and cope with life's problems best I can sory we can not be as STRONG as the bible thumpers who say people like us are just weak and cont deal with life head on. I say sorry for them for living this one way trio called life and not experiencing the pleasures god put here for us to enjoy.) and you put the millionaire on hold and made him wait cause you thought he was a cheapo barley having enough money for a gram.
Fact being treat all customers the SAME. Unless they are just rude and nasty to you then do not serve them. respect and understanding is a two way street. If you put in transit do not do so cause you want to lock their money down as that is not a good business practice and in the real world I would not come to your store and would likely report it to the better business bureau if you took my money promised me a delivery and claimed it was on the way and in reality had not even been packaged cause you were worried I would go to the store and say I changed my mind. You treat your buyers right and MOST not ALL will be back around and the happiness and satisfaction flows both ways.
It just is not right to have someone expecting a delivery in shipment and it not truly be on the way. Especially the things that are being shipped. we all know as users there is nothing worse than being dope sick and withdrawing and a friend tell us "im on the way man be there in 20 mins" getting excited and can't waiting to feel better and that 20 mins turns to 2 hrs and then they do not answer their phone and show up 6 hrs later. I am sure we have all gone through that. Many times not showing at all and just receiving a call the next day saying it fell through. TO me telling a person who is dope sick you got them something on the way and not showing or being 6 hrs late making them suffer it out is evil and just flat out mean. Always amazes me how SO CALLED friends can't take 20 seconds to pick up there phone and call and give you a heads up that they are going to be a few hrs late instead of making you suffer. Not a very good friend in my eyes.
As far as the blowjob haha I see no harm in that. I can actually see that as a gift from god. Sitting at a deck packaging drugs for delivery adding up total profits while a hot chic is under the desk giving you a bj at the same time haha. And I thought it was pure pleasure to sit on the couch playing xbox live with my girl going me up while im played halo. Props to you on that accord friend. This is all just my opinion mind you so please don't get offended. its your operation and you can run it the way you see fit. Just try and think more from the vendors point of view and you will make everyone happy and the key to a successful business is a great product, friendly timely customer service and being understanding to the customers plight. Cearly their are times when a customer is trying to scam and want something for free and usually you can spot that. sometimes you are 50/50 on it and when you are 50/50 it is always best to lean towards the customer telling the truth. Better to lose 40 bucks today then lose a potential 500.00 in sales over 6 months from that person. This is the way business is ran. How many times have you placed an order at resturant and got home and it was fucked up and they did not give you a receipt and you called back that night or the next day and the mgr said "you don't have the receipt I can't help you." well I don't have the receipt cause your employee failed to give it to me and the mgr keeps saying sorry I can't help you. Most do not return to that restaurant. A customer that probably spent 600 or more there every 6-8 months was just lost over a shitty mgr not replacing a 25 dollar meal on the word of a customer. lol it is all common sense. Bad attitudes and not being able to think as those around you think has no place in the sellers market. In the end you will go under if you keep that frame of mind. trust me. it is just a matter of time. Word of mouth can be your friend or it can be your enemy.

On a related note:
Fuck vendors who mark things in transit before its.....in transit.
-
After vendors have been here a while, we know. We know that they're honest, and if shit *does* happen, they let us know. Often new vendors just get all screwed up, but at the same time, since we know they're new, we hopefully give them some slack. Main thing with new vendors should be communication. At this point in your career, you're probably not swamped with orders and can let the buyers know why their shit really isn't in the mail, when you said it was.
The real problem is actually rather small, but painful, group of vendors who initially come out with some really good product, and ship it when they say it's shipped, but then seem to go downhill. My personal experience has been that H vendors, who also have a habit going, can easily get in over their heads, trying to pay for their next batch with finalized orders, and when it gets fucked up, seem to just start it with delays and explanations, followed by contrite apologies, followed by still more delays and explanations.
But oh well, it's heroin, what did we expect. But this is why we do love the few vendors of good proudct, who actually are pretty reliable. I never take this shit for granted. A vendor like Opi, for example, who ships out ass-kicking heroin, and actually is *reliable* and trustworthy? Man, I never expect that to last. Nice while it happens tho.

I ordered express on Sunday, it was marked in transit on Monday, and now its Wednesday and i still dont have a package. What the fuck is the deal with that!?

The flipside of all that sarcasm in my OP...
I'm learning ALOT. When I first came onto the Road I saw lots of opportunities and promptly set out with The Plan.
Organics being what they are... it can take a bit from genes to saleable product.
In the meantime.. I strove to educate myself. Read ALL the posts, chatted up people, did every bit of background work I could think of to do.
After I'd done all that.. hrrrrmmm still waiting for my crops. I got bored.
Then I did something that I guess most folks start with. I bought some stuff. Disposable income and my nature being what it was I would have felt *horrible* if I had been spending the discretionary money on anything not project related. But once it was done.. and all.. just waiting for harvest.. hmmm Philter is bored.
So I bought stuff. Suddenly I got a MAJOR eye-opener. What I assumed was people (like Dankology. props to you bro!) being flippant or unambitious with their advice on vending began to make sense.
They would say "Dude you are overthinking this.. just get the people their stuff really quick and be really really consistent!"
I went right back to square one and rethought this whole deal. Instead of "How can I get people knowing about my product and attract them to purchase it?" the more proper question is "How can I insure there is absolutely zero, nada, zilch fuckups of any kind on any portion of this delivery method?".
So the sort of vendors I'm describing in the OP.. in truth.. they are my best teachers. Because nothing teaches one better than being on the receiving end of a *bad example*.
So lemons to lemonade eh?
The ideas I take away from the experience.
1. Everything listed is ready to go, needing only a label to ship.
2. Everybody gets communication. "Yes you are accepted" and"Your product has shipped. Thanks for your patronage".
3. Limit your orders, at least initially, somehow. I'm only listing on weekends, and only 10 per weekend till I prove to myself I got that nailed down tight.
4. Keep the shipping options as simple, as fast and as verifiable as possible. Eat more shipping costs to simplify your life.
5. Stuff needs to ship before they can Cancel. If it can't go out that fast.. my preparation was flawed. Go back to the drawing board.
6. There is no excuse. Period. I don't have to make a delivery strapped up and prepared to shoot my way out. That alone is worth any amount of time and trouble prepping *before* a listing ever goes up.
Ironic.. when I got on here I thought it was all about product, technology and being smart as balls.
But none of that matters overmuch from the buying side (as long as they aren't endangered of course). What they want (hell what I want) is the shit they bought.. as fast as fucking possible. Every. Single . Solitary. Time.
K.I.S.S.
So thanks to the bad vendors.. you teach me lots :D

Good Post Philter.
You know in the real world the reason why most small business go under is cause they open a store or restaurant and they think they will make profits real fast and things will go great. Any good business man will tell you that unless you are a franchise and you should expect to LOSE money in the first yr and to have enough liquid capital on hand to cover those losses. Even if you have solid product and excellent service it takes time for word of mouth to get around. Some times you have to take 3 steps back (lose money) before you can take ten steps forward (making huge profits).
SO many people open a businesses with no liquid capital to cover their losses in that first yr and after 6 or 8 months of losing money they start cutting corners letting good employees ho or going from a good top quality food product to getting cheap bad tasting food from vendors cause they think in their mind they are saving money. By the time the good word of mouth gets around from when they first opened people go in and order food. the now cheap bad tasting crap they ordered to save money and they taste it and gag and leave saying I will never come back here again and usually ppl that do not do not come back and they share that poor experience with friends. Trust me if you are going to be a vendor and want to be a well respected one and get to the point where people praise you and your products here then be prepared to take some losses and swallow your pride in some occasions. In the end those small losses will provide huge dividends to cause the person you shipped a free order to to appease them will be back week after week month after month and they will say this guy took care of me and I did not even ask him too. He said he just wanted me to be a happy customer. If you do not have the capital to take a few losses/hits to your liquid assets and product you might want to hold off till you do cause opening your biz too fast without the proper fail safes is a disaster waiting to happen. Cause returns on your excellent service and taking care of customers takes time to come back to you and if you are on a limit budget you are likely to go under or not be able to deliver the goods to people in a timely manner so either way your company/business reputation is SHOT and remember this always my friend. Money/income can come from many many different sources even if just a 9-5 job at taco bell but once your business reputation gets ruined and tarnished it is gone. I will take a trusting a hand shake from someone and trust them on reputation much more than I would their credit score/report. All it takes to keep your credit score clean is money and many dishonest bad people have lots of money but a man/woman who shakes your hand might be poor as dirt but if they go through hell or high water to keep that hand shakes word then they are someone to believe in. Spending money is eay when you got plenty of it but if you pawn your tv or let your rent be 2 weeks late cause you shook someones hand and looked them in the eyes and promised to pay them back 200 bucks in a week not many people will let their rent go or pawn their stuff to keep their hand shake SOLID. I hope you take that advice to heart. The trick is finding someone who cares just as much and puts just as much stock in finding other people who care about that handshake as they do. Most people make promises and then forget them or have the attitude of 'I come first they will just have to wait for their money" don't be one of those people. Eventually you will come across someone who sees your dedication to your word and shaking of hands as what it is and what it is worth and see you has someone to keep around cause trust me. They are a rarity in today's world. Especially in this game.

From now on I will only be packing orders while receiving a blow job and you damn well better believe your shit isnt going in the mail til I get my road head. This dick isnt going to suck itself people. Do you want your drugs or not???
-
I think there should be a "confirm order" option along with a "shipped" option that sellers could use.
I like this idea as well. The seller could "confirm" an order to receive the address so they can start a packing session. Once confirmed, the order can't be cancelled by the customer. When the vendor returns from the mail drop, they can mark the order "in transit," so it will actually mean what it actually means!

We already have 4 days grace before the buyer can cancel, to me, confirmed means it's been sent out not "I'm thinking about it" also can't some of you consider that just because your order is taking slightly longer than normal it's just being held up in the post, not that the seller didn't send it on time? Unless you've contacted them and they've admitted it it's likely the first option.

Hey can anyone who's a vendor answer a question for me please? I've been feeling a bit suspicious about an order I made as it was showing as "in transit" after a few days, then the seller messaged me about 10 days later to say to expect it in around 7 working days (so obviously hadn't sent it till then).
So I query it because it seems a bit dishonest and he'd already asked twice for me to FE (which I didn't), and he says that he didn't mark it as "in transit" as it doesn't work that way on the seller side, 'an order is simply "confirmed".'
Is this guy bulshitting me? Either way, surely he knows that by marking it as "confirmed" at his end it'll show up as "in transit" for the buyer.
