how can you access silkroad on an iphone? Theres no way to download TOR that i know of.

I think its possible with an android phone, that lets you download google play, but as far as i know it wont work with an iphone.

Please share if there is a safe way to do it. Thanks!

I'm pretty sure its possible to download an app for the tor project..my friends had it on their iphones..I used to use it on my android and even though its by the tor project and it is "hidden" I don't like the extra trackability of mobil phones that are linked directly to my identity...maybe if I had a burner, I'd consider it again but I'm betting somone is picking up the GPS signal + TOR patterns that they are sending out to sever towers

Tor isnt illegal, so I wouldnt care if my phone company knew i was using it. As far as Silkroad goes well thats another story. Correct me if im wrong, but I am under the assumption that all internet service providers can currently tell if you are using tor anyway. So what does it matter if its either A)- Your ISP who knows you are using it, or B)- Your phone company. As long as no one can tell what sites you access using tor and using tor itself stays legal, I for one would really like to have SR on my iPhone.

bad. don't do it. I made a thread on this a while ago. long story short, a few big SR names got to it, including pine, and I deleted it immediately.

I guess it's not really a problem for certain people to know what you're doing if it's not specific but plausible deniability only goes so far. ISP's may have to start reporting all of the info they have to the government in some far away future (ha). Any information on you is bad information. I just wear a tinfoil hat and constantly freak out, though.

Why would you visit silkroad from "surveillance apparatus number 1" aka smart phones?
I strongly recommend you to not use your phone to visit silkroad!

i have  used tor on my iphone many times!!!

Considering Apple's attitude as of late with the NSA, I'd stop doing that.
