Title: Have i been scammed? and if so, how do i go about it
Post by: generalm3sS on October 21, 2011, 04:39 pm
Hi everyone,

Im a new vendor (less than a month) and put some offers up on some diazepam & sildenafil (Viagra). 3 lots of 10 on each of them. a person (name unknown right now but it was j43123(numbers are not correct as SR is down and i cant remember) ordered them all which i didn't notice, so they were sent out in 2 DIFFERENT TYPES of envelopes, 1 with 20 d's and 20 v's, 1 with 10 of each in(smaller envelope). According to the person they didn't arrive and seemed genuine. so i re-sent. He as said that they have not arrived also and requested a full refund and would leave positive feedback. I said i didn't mind and appologised but a friend (who comes on here) told me that this is a common scam. With SR down, and my refund was meant to be today i thought id bring it up on here not just to get advice but to warn people just in case.

From now on i will add to my profile that if a parcel does not arrive, they can have 50% refund or a re post, That is it. I feel i gotta give this person a full refund now to keep my 100% and i don't really mind this time, but im new around here and can't afford bad feedback from a scamer. He may be genuine but the more i think of it (his name etc) the more i think he is a scamer.

Anyways, thought id see what you people think/would do in my situation with this one

thanks

Most likely a scam. Don tto anything til SR is back up. You were too nice to resend. But that is what good vendors do.

I always put on a delivery confirmation label. It only costs 90 cents or less and it gives you proof that its was sent and received. It has saved me endless scams..

Hit me up with any questions.

I am right now putting together a wiki that will help vendors and buyers alike, but I havent worked on it too much because SR is down and it seems that there aren't too many mods right now, so Im devoting all my time modding..

Be careful. Customers will say that they were shorted one pill, or it wasn't received at all, etc. thats why vendors have to go the extra mile not to get scammed. You may want to even put a limit on your orders. So, that way if they claim they didnt get it, you keep you losses to a minimum. If someone wants a lot from me, they have to finalize the payment before I will send the items out. I cant afford to lose 1k. A lot of the times, SR will do a 50/50 split, evey situation is different.

Another Idea is to take a picture of the pills in the baggie where they can cant on how many are in there. Put
their username on a piece of paper in front of the envelope with their addresss, just before you put it in fot mailing. This is a bit extreme, I will only do that on huge orders and if i have a funny feeling about he buyer. With that and DCN, They will have a hard tiime proving that they didn't receive their shit..

Ask me any questions any time... I dont suggest taking pictures of the items, Ive only done 2 times, once they have their items and you have your money, its not that difficult to destroy the picure. Ill put the picure on a pecial usb/encrypted Hd. But, for everyones safety, its best to just look at the buyers credietials, seeing how many purchased they have done, how many have gone to arbitration, haow many were cancleeed, etc. Remember, just like buyers, vendors have the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason.

I know some vendors will only send one or 2 pills if they have less than 5 transactions.  I suggest for you to impliment your own plan, and this will help avoiding getting ripped off in the future...

Yes, i think ill let this one roll as you said, its cost me about £100 but meh, easy come easy go i say with that. Thanks for the advice and i believe you helped me with the 'pill rattle' also. Thanks for your help and I'm going be a lot more aware now :) Plus if he gives me good feedback (2 of) that will take me to double digits in transactions so that's gotta be worth a little.....

Good idea with big orders although i do like destroying things ASAP. The thing is, i know where this guy lives....... I'm sure it is in one of the messages on SR that i didn't delete before SR went down...... It's not the cleverest of scams really, I'll just get some heavy's round his house ha ha :)

Well its the way i am, but im going set rules from now. Ive only been here a month so its all learning and nothings worth getting pissed off about as it only leads you down a dead end of hatred :)

Lessons learnt and cheaply to so i cant complain. Think ill say 50% refund to him before i do, as i did post twice and try keep things 'comfy'. Just not worth the time and hassle. Just make you a bitter person :)

I'm sorry bro, that sucks ass! A while back something similar happened to me, another vendor wanted to purchase my entire lot of pills(over $300 worth) and I had a "disclaimer" on my profile about a maximum limit per customer, he ignored this and still placed the order. I told him if he wanted to buy my entire lot he'd have to pay me directly out of escrow or finalize before I ship. So what does he do? He comes here on the forum and starts accusing me of trying to scam him even after I talked to him and asked him if he had any input on how we could make it work, I even suggested he pay me half and the rest when he receives his order... Instead other members started adding fuel to the fire and everyone was saying that I was a possible scammer! Wow... Anyhow, I told him that I'd rather sell small quantities to several members instead if selling it all to him which in return he could possibly re sell at an inflated price and I didn't want that because I was selling them fairly cheap to help others out... Anyway enough of my ranting... Just be careful and always stay in escrow unless they want it all at once and are willing to trust you and go out if escrow or better finalize early so SR gets his cut. Take care and I'm sorry about your loss, fuck those piece of shit scamming tweakers... Peace.

Not arriving once is possible, but twice sounds like a scam especially since he's trying to blackmail you into refunding him in exchange for positive feedback.

Do you know if he was using the full name of someone who lives at the address? If not, the postal service might not have delivered them. That's still the customers fault and they should pay the price although I wouldn't call that a scam, just carelessness.

Definitely use DCN's so you can prove that packages were delivered if there's a dispute.

Make sure to post clear rules on your seller page so no one can claim ignorance.

Pay attention to your instincts. If you're uncomfortable with a sale, don't go through with it.
