Title: Be careful of exchanging Ukash with Raver999 SCAMMER
Post by: ukashman on November 30, 2011, 12:48 pm
So I have a problem that I need a way to turn cash into bitcoin, and outside the US this is hard. So I discovered Ukash, and made a couple of successful out of escrow orders (Holland my man), but I preferred the choice of bitcoin, so I was thrilled when I saw someone offering bitcoin for ukash vouchers (like moneypaks).

RAVER999

His two listings
http://ianxz6zefk72ulzz.onion/index.php/silkroad/item/13828
http://ianxz6zefk72ulzz.onion/index.php/silkroad/item/13827

I messaged him and he warned me that ukash was having problems, so I should wait a week. I do, and as his ratings were low initially as a new seller, I waited for a couple of days to make sure that he wasn't scamming people, and when I saw that he had a number of successes on Ukash and selling weed, I messaged him the night before and he says he has the amount needed, so I wait until the morning and made an order for the bitcoin, and send him the info encrypted, so I know he got it, since the voucher is now used and no one else has had it. This was right before SR started having downtime problems so I was OK with waiting for a couple of days, until I got no response on my PMs, no response on my emails and he had left the order at "processing".

His last messages were "That's cool. Bear with me if I don't reply immediately, I'm having a terrible time staying connected to SR tonight, have been all day, constant timeouts." and "Yay! I got back on. No prob. I'll catch up with you tomorrow." This was 7 days ago, the night before the morning I made my order.

After a couple of days, and since SR had been having problems, I politely message him "hey man, its a while since I last heard from you, I know SR has been down but its been up for a while, wondering if anything's wrong.", since my order was still "processing", even though he had used my voucher and had other orders giving him feedback, so I thought he was only having trouble. I emailed the email he gave me (dubsteppingit@Safe-mail.net) asking him for an update, since SR had been down and I thought I had more chance. I wait a few more days and all my messages are still unread, so I message SR admins to do something, since the order was still processing.

Little did RAVER999 know, I created an account (roider) and messaged him from that new account, asking him if he had BC available for an order, and he replied immediately, saying he had the money and I should just make an order. All this, while my order on my other account was still left at "processing", so I could not give feedback on the scam, and he had left all my messages unread because he knew I'd know if he read them. I message him from the new account, calling him a scammer (this was yesterday), and today I see he has read the message and left no response.

While this happened, SR admins moved the transaction over to the resolution centre. I propose a "resolution" (give me my money back or be outed as a scammer). This was before I messaged him on the other account, so I know he has been online since, as he read the message on the new account.

So, it's been 7 days since he last contacted me, 6 days since I last made my order, has clearly been online and replying to other people, accepting new orders, and refuses to read or reply to any of my messages, while holding my money and not giving me my end of the deal.

I'm sure you'll agree I'm not hasty in calling raver999 a SCAM, and warn EVERYONE to not buy anything from him, since he does not seem to be getting finalised on a bunch of other stuff he's selling, like weed, that should take a bit longer. This leads me to think that he's either selective scamming and is bound to disappear soon, or is using fake accounts to buy his 0.00 listing for bitcoin and get free feedback.

IF YOU READ THIS RAVER, EXPLAIN AND GIVE ME MY MONEY AND I'LL TAKE DOWN THIS IF THE EXPLANATION SEEMS PLAUSIBLE TO THE FORUMS.

To make my case more watertight:

http://ianxz6zefk72ulzz.onion/index.php/silkroad/item/14687 0 feedback
http://ianxz6zefk72ulzz.onion/index.php/silkroad/item/14318 0 feedback
http://ianxz6zefk72ulzz.onion/index.php/silkroad/item/14187 2 feedback, finalised early but no edit. either the product got there or they can be dummy accounts.
http://ianxz6zefk72ulzz.onion/index.php/silkroad/item/14237 1 feedback, it was put up soon after the listing was up IIRC, probably too soon for a real buyer to get his wares.

http://ianxz6zefk72ulzz.onion/index.php/silkroad/item/13828 This listing for Ukash strangely only has one feedback, while the other seems to have more. This seems weird since it would be implausible that EVERYONE is going to one listing and not the other, especially since they both came up at the same time. This is the listing I used, maybe it's his "i'll scam THESE people but not the others" listing.

Hey same thing happened to me also, Was not surprised to see this thread to thought i would leave my reply on things.

I contacted him a few times before ordering my BTC with UKASH asking about the process and he was answering pretty fast and seemed genuine, I did also want to give him a £200 voucher but i decided i would just use a £50 one first to make sure, I noted this in the message to him so he could of give me some coins for the £50 one as he knew i would be back for more coins, But he didn't and he has used my code as its no longer valid, This SCAMMER needs to be removed from here.

I also have the order in my orders list but it is still on processing and has been for the last 3 days, So i cannot leave any bad feedback.

Also you are probably right about the feedback, Since he requires you to buy the BTC over his listing and give him the code, That costs 0.00BTC, So he is probably just making other accounts and buying his own listings and leaving good feedback.

britvic, i'd contact SR admins immediately, they pushed my order into the resolution centre, so you can drop his ratings like I just did.

+1 confirm as scammer.

I lost all my current SR money to this guy. I can't take this shit anymore. Fuck SR, I'm a poor guy, I don't have this kinda money to waste on NOTHING. SR needs a better way to control it's sellers, this feedback system isn't working.

Raver999 is a scammer for sure. He's had £60 off me in Ukash vouchers for certain 'white' goods that have failed to show up. Usual story, no contact from the guy now.

What pisses me off is that I bought it through a custom listing which I was lead to believe would allow me to leave feedback on the transaction, yet the only action I have available in my order now is "cancel" . I mean come on SR! what is the point!?!? Your feedback system is clearly flawed at even the most basic level.

50953   custom listing for neonblade   1   raver999   processing   cancel

So this guy is obviously creating fake accounts and 'buying' his own items to increase feedback. Whilst managing to use SR's own feedback system against genuine customers. This was my first experience on this site so really don't think I'll bother again.

What a joke.

I confirm Raver999 is a scammer, had 50 gbp UKash off me.  You give the code, then nothing.  Shame I didn't see this thread earlier.  How can you tell who to trust?

SR has banned this coke sucking scammer. Too late for me tho.... On a plus side it will be that much harder to burn me in the future!

Why the hell is his ukash listing still active ?

That's crazy , why just let him scam more people ?
