I have been trying to find out if you can use it or not.Does anyone currently use an Ipad to access it? The research I am doing is not that helpful...Thanks in advance!
-
Yes you can.
The ap is called "covert browser"
I don't know if you should trust it as much as normal TOR.
-
The above is only partially correct. I have the new iPad with Covert Browser. Yes Covert Browser can access TOR but if you try enter SR at the login page all you'll see is a blank page. I was able to read the forums here but was unable to log in to them so it seems that nothing can be logged into. Wish you could access Tor through an iPad.

is covert browser a free app?
-
Covert Browser is not recommended by the Tor Project, and I believe the developer has been refusing to work with / share code with the Tor developers. There are experimental packages for iOS, but you'd have to jailbreak your device -- and I don't know how up-to-date these packages are. I'd say avoid using Tor on your iPad/iPhone if you can.

Sounds like a risk to me. Stick with the lappy.

New app out now that definitely works on the iPad. Onion Browser - accesses SR and forums no problem.

I am using onion browser right now; it's how I found these excellent sites. Not ordered anything yet, been familiarising myself with PGP and bitcoins etc. Me and my brother used to order stuff online a few years back(gbl when it was still legalish and benzos) but it was totally insecure and dodgy. He died 4 years ago from alcohol (age 27!)I wish he was alive to see this. I'm just gonna research a bit more the next couple of weeks, make sure I understand all the procedures. Anyway, hi.
