I just wanted to know if SR would let me cancel an order early due to the fact that the seller is being unresponsive to all customers according to the forums, or so it seems. I just need to place an order and it has already been processing for two days and if the seller is not going to be around for anohter day or two Id rather just cancel now.

bump for you

I really doubt you can cancel before the four day mark. It sucks that your BTC are on hold, but the vendor might be really backed up or just has something else going on. The four day wait exists for a reason.
Here's what they say about cancelling on the FAQ:

You can't cancel before the 4 days are up.
I'm in the same boat right now. Order in, messages are unread.. 3 days and counting.. It's frustrating, but unfortunately there's nothing you can do.
-
Damn well that is unfortunate. I wish the vendor would put up a notice if they are backed up or will not be able to go ahead with orders for a few days.

A lot of vendors are still dealing with the fallout from the recent dos attacks. Huge backlogs etc.. Sucks.

Im in the same boat or worse... The seller I was working with openly admitted he was not going to ship but was unresponsive and would not refund. So today was to be day 5 and now my account was hacked this morning so I now have no orders, no BTC, no refund and no account... :(

i had to wait >7 days to cancel an order with that shithead MiMM because of the attacks.
bullshit.
he fucking sucks. top 3 worst vendors i've dealt with.

should be a feature before marked in transit
no, it shouldn't.
SR fees need to get paid either way. why should a vendor have to pay yours without a sale because you got cold feet?
be a big kid and do your own research.
