i was depositing my btc to my account and i have a touch screen laptop i dropped my laptop and it touched my toe witch just so happened to hit get new address button almost immediately after i sent the coins. it was 16.486 btc as well so i'm kinda really sad :((( do you guys think there is anything i can do to get my coins to get deposited to my current btc address?

yes, yes i did. idk what to do im going crazy thinking about this mannn...... so disappointed in myself cant believe that just happened, not even all my money i hope there is something that can be done im like about to fucking tear up lol

Your BTC address should still be in your SR Wallet. Go to www.blockchain.info (clearnet) and type the BTC address the coins were going to into the search box and hit ENTER. That will tell you information such as how many confirmations you've had, if your coins have been transferred into your BTC address, etc. If you can't find a transaction relating to the BTC address you've used, then no coins were sent by the Bitcoin provider. If it does show up on blockchain.info, contact SR Support as there may be an issue on SR's side.

What do you think? Silk road just keeps the money like a vending machine that ate your dollar?
As another user said, check the address on blockchain. If it has 6 confirmations and it hasn't made it into your wallet yet THEN start to worry.

So this means when one hits the "get new address" link, there's no confirmation dialog/page ? Hmmm... Good to know...

As another user said, check the address on blockchain. If it has 6 confirmations and it hasn't made it into your wallet yet THEN start to worry.
Very useful to know. I've never made this mistake, but always wondered.
