Title: market data, pricing, trends, webmining silkroad
Post by: lollapalloozad on July 12, 2012, 02:12 am
is there any aggregated sales data available to serve as the basis for price trends in drugs. Some work has to be done manually obviously as listings do not structurally provide the actual amount of substance (as in weight or otherwise). But this could be solved with a regular expressoin, and those that are in doubt are run through a manual batch check.

This way you can really see what the position is, sort by price, also see correlation and how quickly a product sells, all this information is crucial for people operating in the market. It is making the market less competitive now, as it is not very transparant. Of course there is the issue of quality, but these are all factors that weigh in differenlty for each substance.

ideas? scripts? data integration with ERP?

I have a feeling that you would have to do a lot of manual work to get this to happen - what about scammers and such.... You wouldn't know your data was compromised until they were found out... During which time, your data, and thus any conclusions, would be tainted....

It's an interesting idea, but I don't see it happening....

Lots of manual work..

and Tienamen is right..lots of false positives etc etc..

BUT maybe you can contact the top10 sellers and ask them on a private  weekly survey..

then extract data and create cool candlestick 4hr charts :)

Ii would love to see charts for sales per continent :)

make a subscription service out of it and we would subscribe..just for chart porn

maybe in 5 years we get an futures market for coke ..*daydreaming*
