So I've decided to offer up for sale copies of a master key that gives access to most private and commercial mailboxes that use a single-sided key with a 3 digit serial number. Using a mailbox from a vacant apartment or empty office is much safer than getting deliveries to your home. Also deliveries to commercial properties don't have the same level of scrutiny when it comes to names on letters/packages.

Does it work on the residential USPS mailbox clusters?
Got a pic of the boxes or key as I have found at least 8 different types.

Would they work with an average apartment mailbox? (small gold CompX national key)
If so I would be very interested....Could prove to be quite useful.

I don't have access to a CompX mailbox lock but from what I've seen on their parts catalog, it is very similar

I would think tampering with mail is a pretty serious offense? :o

Getting substances through the mail isn't? I say go for it. Use a fake name such as Jack Daniels. You'll be good to go. :)

Damn this looks handy as fuck....... I wonder how effective these are in the states?

this does look "handy as fuck" for a variety of reasons. Just wish I could be more certain on which mailboxes it'd work on. maybe i should take a tolerance break and use the cash for one of these babies. Just go on a key-trying spree around town, see what happens.

Make a day out of it. Just tell your neighbors you were making sure their locks are secure. :P Ty this made my day btw.

What, like my neighbors are gonna see me doing it? Hell no. 8) I am the night.
Or just dress in brown shirt, shorts, and socks and people won't give you a second glance. Unless the legit ups man sees...

After closer inspection the CompX national looks to be a mirror of the English LF key system.

rake, any chance you could be more clear about where you know these to work? If you don't mind divulging which country you're in, that would help people establish whether or not this listing could actually apply to them, among other helpful hints.

LF = Lowe and Fletcher, English company that sells all over the world. I'm not a locksmith so I cannot state which locks it will work with.

Guys I have bought one of these puppies (Australia) - they are the real deal for the locks shown. Not only does it give you potential to use boxes of vacant premises / holiday apartments etc I found another possible use. The 2nd box i tested was a vacant apartment.... in the box was a shitload of undelivered mail including what I presume to be bank statements, utility bills etc. In Australia to open a p.o box you either need photo id (no thanks) or 2 forms of official mail showing your home address such as ... well bank statements and utility bills :)
So if you are a mind to - find a place where someone has moved out from recently - get the required id and get a po box that cannot be traced back to yourself. You then don't have to worry that someone might move into the unit/apartment/industrial unit before your shipment arrives.
Warning - if caught in a controlled drop scenario you could also go down for mail fraud too I guess :)

Thank you to every one who has made a purchase and thank you for the wonderful feedback. It looks like that even though the LF keysets are of UK origin they appear to be only in use in Australia and not the US at all.

Hey,
I have been organizing to buy one of the keys for sometime now and have finally had the last couple of days to work out how bitcoins etc. work so that I can make a purchase.
Turns out now that I finally found a reliable way to get bit-coins anonymously you have unlisted the product. (Like literally I was viewing it yesterday keen to buy and today it's not listed).
Are you gone for good? Or will you back soon to sell more of these master keys?
