I had an express mail international parcel sent last week... its been sitting in customs for 8 days now with no inbound or outbound scans. tracking seems to just say processed at isc xxxx facility. I usually get items from this vendor in 4 days, one time it took 8 days, but i'm going on day 10 and i am scared shitless...... big order but the pack is under a kg

I have had deliveries sit in Customs for days on end before. It's not unusual. If they are planning a Controlled Delivery, they wouldn't be delaying it's delivery to the point where your getting suspicious because of the delay. They would want it shipped to you in the time it usually takes so it doesn't arouse your suspicions. Customs is up and down with the time it takes to clear an item. Sometimes there busy, other times there not. If your really concerned, clear your place of anything incriminating and see how it plays out. ;D
-
you're as safe as you make yourself to be. i'd consider it suspicious, and take no chances because i've never been in the slammer and don't plan on it any time soon.
clear your house, you know nothing, you say nothing. accept NOTHING from anyone, but if something is left there on it's own accord. let it sit as long as you can before grabbing it. write return to sender, and just wait it out as long as you can. expending their resources is the key, as if they're going to act on it, they need to catch you red handed (at least where i'm considering you're from)
-
I hope it's nothing "DIRE" that's been done with your order, fearing the worst, but expecting the best. Hope it works out i'm pulling for you. let us know how/if/when this turns up.

what country are you in?

LE will watch you before they do a controlled delivery. Sometimes for days. Once they know who you are they will look up your online identity - try to find you on facebook and other social networks etc to better profile you. I dont know about in other countries, but thats how they do it here

I like the return to sender idea... And leave it alone for a couple days... Thnx

I just open anything addressed to me isnt that the norm?
I'd have to agree. I open anything addressed to me and I'll sign for anything that I have to sign for. Just because I sign for it, doesn't mean I know what I'm signing for or that I'm expecting anything. Maybe I'm stupid that way but I really don't see how opening or signing for something addressed to you means that you actually ordered it.
-
If you ordered a small amount (for personal use only), it seems unlikely to me that you'll be set up with a controlled delivery. If it gets intercepted, it will be confiscated and maybe your address will be blacklisted. And that will be the end of it.
If you ordered a big amount, say a few bricks of C, that you plan to further distribute, then it is much more likely that they'll try to catch you, hoping to bust an entire drug ring.
So it will mainly depend on the size of the shipment, and possibly also on the strictness of the country you reside in.

Wouldn't they have tried a CD before your delivery date or on and not have it wait till you're delayed enough to be suspicious and clean house? Not quite sure how this works. What if you just don't pick up the package at all lol.... assuming you sent it to a box, they'll investigate the owner of that box.
-
If it helps, I've had an item sit in customs for about 20 days and everything was fine and no CD.
I even waited another few weeks before opening to make sure it weren't a CD.
-
The whole purpose and back bone of a CD is the stealthiness of them "opening and scanning" your packages.
They have to make it look like it hasn't been opened.. obviously. Or you would be suspicious and not accept/sign for it.
AND.. like a few others said, if they really wanna CD you, they want it to get there either FAST or ON TIME.. so you'll be like "Hell yah! Smooth transaction! Ding ding!" But really they are the ones saying "Ding ding ding."
BUT, if you're not 'sposed to sign for it, then don't.
It doesn't matter if you "know or do not know" what is inside of the package. If you sign for it, you're claiming it. Game over. No continues.
Hope this information helped any and everyone out. Please be safe out there on this Silk Road. :)
In body and mind,
Jah.

This isn't always true I've seen items sit in customs for several weeks before a CD was done In the meantime they were actually actively watching the target for at least 10 days

Unless it is not an ounce or ounces of coke/molly/meth/heroin etc I wouldn't worry that much.
Even if they find couple of ounces of weed I bet they will just confiscate it and not deal with you. It is the "hard" drugs they really care about.

I bet if they find a couple ounces of weed that they will send postal inspector knocking at your door at the least, possibly CD.

Possibly. Depends on how bored or busy they are ha.

if you think a cop who pulls you over and finds that you have an ounce of weed will just confiscate it, you might make sense. Otherwise you are dangerously underestimating the extent of your state perceived crimes .

I've had thousands of dollars worth of steroids confiscated and they are not what is seen as any much better than a big zip of bud..Maybe it's just my luck or maybe I'm just not stupid enough to get caught. I wasn't starting a debate, I was just saying some get lucky and some don't.
-
Well if you had thousands of dollars of steroids intercepted and not getting caught mapped to your intelligence that would indicate you are stupid and or unlucky, but I am not trying to start a debate either. It is just bad advice to tell someone that customs doesn't give a shit if they import dealer quantities of illegal drugs.

I'm sure you mistyped that first sentence no? I would be stupid and or unlucky if I wasn't caught?
-
I think what he meant was that you were stupid if you think having thousands of dollars worth of steroids being intercepted didn't mean you were "caught", but meant you were lucky. I'd say having thousands of dollars worth of illegal substances being intercepted means you ere caught....maybe not incarcerated, but definitely caught.

Assume the worst and plan from there. Unless you're nonchalant about being marked for life as a drug trafficker or being a felon, then in situations like this you should always take every precaution you possibly can. Don't get caught up with reckless speculation like "HEY THERES COEK DEALARS OUT THERE Y THEY GONNA CD MY 10GS OF MOLLY?" You're gonna feel dumb as fuck when you actually do go down for importing 10gs of MDMA.

One of the most naive and uninformed messages I regularly come across here is also one of the most dangerous. The idea that LE is not interested in busting those who order small quantities of drugs for personal use is simply ridiculous and flat out wrong. That sort of thinking can only hurt you and lessen your chances of staying safe.
Another myth that needs debunking is this notion that Postal Inspectors are bored/ lazy/incompetent fat asses. The fact is they are extremely motivated investigators who not only are highly respected among all LE agencies but have the highest conviction rate of all 60 Federal LE agencies. They also run a state of the art criminal lab that is regarded as one of the country's best.

This is true. If LE gets a chance to arrest somebody on a minor possession charge, they will certainly do it. However there is a limit to the amount of effort they are willing to put in it.
I do not know this for sure, but I expect they won't spend hundreds of man-hours on getting somebody convicted on a lesser charge (unless they maybe want to make a bigger point to the public).
There is an interesting book out on this subject, it's called: "arrest-proof yourself", written by an ex-cop. I highly recommend it. He tells how cops have a point system (in their head); the more years they can get somebody convicted, the more points it is worth to them, and the more effort they are willing to put in it.
The truth is, nobody is safe. If the US government really wants you, they're gonna get you. They caught Bin Laden, they caught Saddam Hussein. It is most unfortunate, but they also caught Sabu, the Lulzsec frontman. He is an expert in digital security. If you are important enough, they will get you.
But there is a moral to this story. The key to not getting caught is two-fold; be secure and be unimportant. If catching you is too difficult, and the crime is not serious enough, they will spend their limited resources on other cases.

So, what if I was a cop? Would that give my words a different meaning or change the message?
-
Furthermore, your stupid reply may be another clue. Cops are not very clever pieces of shit...
-
th3creeper..well, are you a cop?
-
Who gives a toss whether they are LE or not. They don't know who you are, they don't know where you live and fact is they gave some pretty good advice.
I read about people who say "don't worry man, it's not an ounce or anything, they won't even give a shit about you."
Reality is you are breaking the law and doing so opens you to the possibility of being caught. Complacency will fuck you up.
