Title: Is it Good Idea to Post My Key on the Forum??
Post by: oppyate on December 15, 2011, 09:57 pm
I've been reading a few posts where some "supposed newscaster from BBC" wants to do Interviews. She created her own User ID on Forum as "Lizard."
Anyway, she does have access to everything ay other member has, including Wiki. I thought about it and I Deleted my PGP Key. Who know's how many like her are really "out here."

Your public key is only used to encrypt messages to you.

Yes dunk, thank you. I know what my Public Key is for. I just dont like idea of fact we have a HUGE KEY RING out there that someone can pick and chose to open that particular persons mail/messages. Guess Im paranoid.

Still -- in case someone else reading this thread may not know -- *public* keys cannot be used to open (decrypt) or sign anything.
