Title: PGP Help please!
Post by: CheapestCocaine on July 12, 2013, 09:16 pm
Alright so Im a new vendor, and got a bunch of feedback telling me to use PGP. I set it up with a tormail account and ill paste my public key below this. The thing is, i have no idea what this thing does or how to use it. If you could, please walk me through what steps i would go through after a buyer makes an order using PGP??

This Tut helped me a lot. http://p3lr4cdm3pv4plyj.onion/guides/shepj.html

People will use your Public PGP Key to encrypt their Address/message, then you decrypt it on your side with your private key to read their message.

Oh make sure when you install GnuPG you check the option for GPA, for sme reason when I install it doesn't default to installing.  I created a test message for you to test if it's working

Best of luck

Cheap Coke

What's up? Hey if you're using Keychain Access on the Mac first thing I would do is open up the Keychain program and in the upper left corner click on the GPG Keychain dropdown menu. Go down to Services and click on Services Preferences.

From here scroll down on the right side to where it has the Files and Folders menu, and under this category you'll see several options like OpenPGP Encrypt, Open PGP Decrypt, Open PGP Import, etc. Make sure all these check boxes pertaining to OpenPGP are checked.

Now open up your text editor, on Mac I believe it is TextEdit or something. From here you can do a number of things. First copy that message ISleepy1 sent you and past it in there. Now select the whole text again and I think it's like ctrl + click will give you the menu (like a right-click, sorry I'm a Windows guy) . Now choose Decrypt from that menu under Services.

Like ISleepy1 mentioned, it will prompt you for your passphrase and after you enter it the message should become clear.

Use this same method of pasting public keys in the TextEdit to import keys to your KeyChain. Whenever you type out a response message you choose to Encrypt instead and select from the options who the recipient of the message is.

Hope this helps in some way.

If you missed anything or I am confusing you feel free to PM me. Peace
