Can someone politely bring me up to speed on what's been going on around these parts particularly with regard to H? What happened to Tony76? Is he still a vendor?

On the 4/20 sale he scammed a bunch of people, someone was tracking his bitcoins and found $30,000 worth of btc in one account just from his personal site (Not 100% it was $30k but somewhere around that) so he could have scammed over $100,000 including SR.

Umm well personally I have used mondomax and pharmerjohn, both are black tar though and both are us domestic. I've heard opi has the same pebbles that tony had, but I've also heard he might be a selective scammer (I do not know this, just what I have heard and it is highly likely that it was just a rumor or paranoia or something) but good luck!

Fio, please be careful about saying things like the above.  There are simply too many people posting this kind of hearsay on the forums causing no end of grief.  If you do not have first hand knowledge of something then don't say it. Considering that OPI has had a consistent 100 rating and is one of the few vendors who continues to go through escrow for most buyers I have to wonder where you 'heard' that he may be a selective scammer.

Don't make statements like that unless you have at least researched the vendor and have in fact read through the posts that may show him to be selectively scamming and can provide links to the pages.

After Tony76 everybody is understandably nervous about dealing with even established vendors, especially those that require you to FE before shipping.

There are too many trolls and one posters out there trying to cause trouble, we don't need to add any more to it.

I apologize if I sound like I'm jumping on you for what is basically a short throw away sentence, but it's been getting under my skin lately so I figured I might as well say something.

:/ did you now see what I posted after? and I heard it when all the stuff with tony and the 4/20 sales were going down, someone posted it in a thread. but I posted all that stuff after exactly for that reason, I wasn't trying to bash them or anything.. :/ I promise i didnt mean to bash or put down any vendors thats why I put this after "(I do not know this, just what I have heard and it is highly likely that it was just a rumor or paranoia or something)"

Sorry if it came out like that.. i'm just a bit out of it if you know what I mean, sorry though

As someone who has been scammed by Tony76, I personally prefer that people like Fio post and warn people, rather than people building up sellers' statuses. At the time I remember there were 1-2 people talking about not receiving their goods from Tony and everyone else would jump on them. By doing that, anyone else that might have had a not so positive review for Tony might have been prevented from posting, and more people ended up being scammed. Not to mention that the whole scam was enabled by so many people hyping up that guy to God status. So my take is that everyone is entitled to express his opinion even if it's negative or hearsay.

Tony76 was working with the scammer "King Joey" it appears they were working together from the start. The sorry part is that this scum bag King Joey keeps comming back and now he is working with other people.

Tony76 and "ObamaGirl" which was really King Joey pretended they got into some kinda argument and than because of the argument King Joey scammed people on ObamaGirl. Tony76 called out ObamaGirl as a scammer before she even started.......amazing........ObamaGirl definitely didnt steal as much as she could of because of Tony76 but Tony76 used ObamaGirl as a reason for everyone to finalize early.

Its clear that Tony76 and King Joey were using ObamaGirl as a tool for the other scam operated under the name of Tony76. I dont know much about either but I dont think they are the same person because Tony76 is from BC canada and King Joey has shipped out of multiple states but only in the US.

All op has to do is go to Tony's thread and read a bit, here you go: http://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion/index.php?topic=9108.msg200157#msg200157

We don't really need to go thru the whole thing again.  You can go forwards in this thread, if you want to see where the ripoffs and the screaming began, or go backwards and see where the love affair developed.  Either way, he's dead and gone.

Opi is the best active and reliable vendor on here.  With the best dope.  I've not seen any evidence of scamming, and he's never asked me to go out of escrow, so please don't anyone start rumors without facts to back them up.

I appreciate the warning fio gave. someone had said during the 4/20/12 SR scam crisis that this would be a great opportunity for tony to scam the masses. he was ridiculed for saying that, apparently that guy id having the last laugh now because we, i fe'd a sheet, all were so blinded tony76's diety status that we lost sense of our logic. look for urselves, its in the tony thread.

I did actually read thru that lengthy thread, and paid attention when early skeptics were dissed on there.  But at the same time, it could happen to any vendor.  For me it just means not to get too attached to any one thing on here...it could all dissolve overnight.  It's not the first time, and it won't be the last time...but hopefully we do learn something, when a vendor starts claiming how put upon they are by 'scammers' and how we need to wait such a lengthy time before complaining, and how generally, people just let Tony decide the whole thing with total impunity.  There were danger signs, but since his product was so good, they were ignored.

O well, water under the bridge...

Oh god, not the Tony fiasco... yeah, he went scammer and banked tough. His coins were being tracked by the forum, but nothing really took off from there. Yeah, it sucked just as you might have imagined.

I still don't get why the dude did it. From what I read and heard, he was THE seller on SR. I bet he literally contributed to about a quarter of the business that came through SR and dramatically increased the site's rep. Weird how someone could build up a site so much only to try and ruin it all later...But the dude was ALREADY making bank, that's what I dont get! 100 grand all at once is a lot, sure. But compared to what he could have made if he stayed straight and had everybody in his pocket like that? The only reason I can come up with is that he may have thought SR could fail any minute so he might as well just cut and run with a wad of cash while everything was still going well. But damn, that's a crazy occurence. Kinda wish I was there to witness it, but I prolly woulda got scammed for some of that bomb-ass, cheap cid I've heard so much about.

Which brings me to another point - with the anonymous tor engine, can the SR admin even truly "ban" anybody? I mean if the IP's always change like that, and no one has any set "identity" on tor, I imagine there'd be no way for anyone to know whether or not it was the dude if he came back, right? Or idk maybe I'm wrong and there's some super nerdy hacker way to do it. Either way it's an eerie tale. He's set precedent. Just hope no one tries to emulate it.

I don't think we really care if he comes back...of if he's still here with another name...as long as we stay in escrow, there is no problem....maybe Tony just wanted to teach us to be better buyers.   ::)  And many of us are.  He's not the first, and soon enough, he'll be forgotten.
