Title: Tor vulnerabilities
Post by: dipmyfry on July 12, 2012, 08:16 pm
Hello Silkroad!   I have a tor question for the experts on this.

Is my identity under jeopardy if i connect to the internet through a wifi router and at times the people i live with use the same wifi connection to view clearnet sites.  My concern is that just yesterday i was on the road, usually on when no one is home, so my roomy gets gome and i am still on it, then i realize he is now on the internet as well on the same wifi connection as me while i am still logged in to Silkroad. Now that got me thinking what if my identity was leaked because of him using the network i am using for clearnet shit while i am still logged in or just using the tor network in general. Any help or insight on this my people?

you're ok unless you're visiting the same site through tor and "clearnet" at the same time, and your connection happens to go down. then your traffic can be correlated

Thanks Shannon <3

Just eased my mind a bit.

So there usually is no problem when logging on to silkroad on the same network/wifi,  all your roomys are using for clearnet stuff?
