Title: So is BMR done?
Post by: Railgun on October 08, 2013, 03:51 pm
Excuse me if this has been covered, but I will reserve my WTF? otherwise. I haven't been on in a day or so to get info from their forums, which is like a millennium at this time. Are they planning on coming back or did backopy up and bounce before he got the Ross treatment?

In the last days I tried my best to deal with the huge and unexpected load with the current BMR infrastructure, however I've to rebuild things around before I come to a situation where the server is held by strings.
The issues with high server load were fixed by the caching system, however the traffic is way too high and up to cause troubles in a couple of days.

Due to this situation I've to halt the site for a couple of days to rebuild the infrastructure and made it big enough to hold the current load. So I've to close customer logins and new accounts for those days, while still allowing sellers to enter, so they can complete their ongoing business.

Please understand that the alternatives would be to close the site to everybody, get shutdown or get me on playing chess with Ross at Guantanamo Bay.

--------- UPDATE 2013 10 08 1300 UTC ----------------------

System is going down now for about 3 to 5 hours, after it return logins will be possible again.
During this time I'll post to the features announcement forum the system changes. Pay attention there.
Ty for understanding.

No, at this moment nobody can login as I'd to put the site fully down to complete the tasks.
Hopefully we will be far from sight for the Eye of Sauron that lives at the internet :)

almost there. transfers over Tor are slow, but it's the price of safety.

(but i dont know if that means that everybody will be able to log in again, the only one who knows at the moment is backopy,...but i guess only vendors will be able to log in for first !)

It is also unavailable again today, same message as before 'Login isn't possible for customer's or inactive sellers. See the forum anouncement about this!' I think I'll go dry for a while.
