Just wanted to know how the karma system works.
As I understand it, users can either give you a karma point for a post, or take one away. Basically a way for them to say "that post was awesome!" or "that post was awful!". I guess it provides a way to easily distinguish established and trusted users who tend to post good content versus people who spew stupidity. There might be more to it though, and I'm pretty sure us newbies aren't allowed to give or take karma yet.

What he said ⇧
Once you reach a certain number of posts (100 I think) people can click + or - and give you good or bad karma, depending on whether they like your post or not.

always wondered this myself. good to know!

You can +1/-1 any member when you get to 100 posts. Not more than once for 72 hours for each person.
Don't take it too seriously. It's an indication when it is very imbalanced, i.e. someone with +1/-30 is probably a spammer/troll/scammer.

Another religious based concept I ignore completely ;D

You do good things to others, and good things come back to you :)
(??)
The Karma System is a method of community self-policing based around certain actions and other users voting on each post.
