Alright, so this is what I did.
I sent 8 BTC to an address that I think is operated by silkroad. ($1000) I meant to send it to another wallet of mine but had a different address in my clipboard when I pasted. Yep, stupid mistake on my part.
The address is 17aRKm52M27uhP28QAkNN8eZm4srJRQYQC (https://blockexplorer.com/address/17aRKm52M27uhP28QAkNN8eZm4srJRQYQC)
The transaction ID: de28f5cd7e525a5a3f379d2b75a815d13ad1230acef4bd6e56da730a4aee0655 (https://blockexplorer.com/tx/de28f5cd7e525a5a3f379d2b75a815d13ad1230acef4bd6e56da730a4aee0655#o0)
I think this this address which has been used before, is a deposit address for someone's silkroad account.
So, I created this account so that I can ask for the money back. Not that I really expect to get it back. Or at least try to get a big chunk of it back. Let SR or the person who's SR account it was deposited into, take a percentage of it and return the rest to me.
Who can I ask if this is really a silkroad address and find out who's account that address is a depost address for? I'd like to ask that person if they'd be willing to kindly return the money I accidentally deposited. I am at their mercy. Or if an SR admin is willing to step in and do this.
(Does this deposit address belong to any of you folks?)
How did I have someone else's SR deposit address in my clipboard you will probably ask? Well that's a long story. I'll get into that if you'd like me to.
To prove it was me that sent those 8 BTC: this message is signed using the private key of the main one of the 3 bitcoin addresses I sent the 8 BTC from: 1PuQkFRTuXcA9j8c79qMVFFZvPUPkBpG7a
It can be verified in the Bitcoin-QT wallet program that I in fact signed it by pasting the message below, the above bitcoin address, and the signature below the message.
I, uoun, claim that I sent the 8 BTC from my address 1PuQkFRTuXcA9j8c79qMVFFZvPUPkBpG7a to 17aRKm52M27uhP28QAkNN8eZm4srJRQYQC
