Title: USPS tool to help route your package faster/easier
Post by: bbd82584 on August 15, 2013, 12:38 pm
I read that if you use the zip code look-up tool at https://tools.usps.com/go/ZipLookupAction!input.action and use the suffix for your zip provided, that it helps sorters route your package faster/easier and in some cases may result in a quicker delivery.  I can't confirm this, but it can't hurt to provide it to make sorting your parcel easier&, I would imagine, less likely to be mis-sorted.  Anyone have more info on this?  I've been providing the suffix on all my orders recently.  Like I said, can't hurt, right?

I have heard this too, but it's never made a bit of difference for me. Some internet retailers seem to look up my address and add +4, others don't, and the vast majority of priority mail stuff takes two days either method. I'm talking goods bought on the regular internet that can be tracked at will.

It might make more of a difference in a big city or something.
