Ok, so the last 3 or 4 times i've purchased BTC with my credit card my entire internet node has gone down. Should I worry?
-
How do you buy BTC with credit cards? I've never seen a place that does this because of the risk of chargebacks.
-
BTCQuick

There is rather elaborate ways to purchase bitcoins with credit cards that usually involve purchasing some other unit of currency or voucher and exchanging it for bitcoins where it is accepted.
What do you mean by your internet node has gone down?

The risk of fraud is even higher because a bitcoin transaction cannot be reversed and tolen credit card info only costs one to two dollars per credit card.

Exactly... I wouldn't trust a place accepting CC/debit cards.

I mean the cable companys internet node which supplies TV/internet service for my entire neighborhood, goes down... inexplicably. The cable company has sent ppl over to the house, twice, and sent people to check on the node and they have no answer. It goes down like this EVERYTIME I buy BTC - well the last 4 times I've bought it with a CC anyway.

They don't accept payment directly, they go through google wallet

Yeah man you're being massively paranoid. Firstly, there's nothing inherantly sketchy about buying BTC. And more importantly, if LE wanted to bust you, they would do that, not just repeatedly knock out the internet access of your whole street.

I turned off your Internet connection. 8)

well i guess its been a crazy coincidence then. i buy the coin, my net goes down, i hop on my phone 4g, complete the transaction to my wallet, internet comes back up. happened 4 times in a row.
well whatever the reason it sucks :P

Your situation sounds pretty shitty tho. But, I don't see how the forums mods can help.
