Title: BTC Safety method?
Post by: ellisD7 on April 04, 2012, 05:07 am
I've been playing around with this idea in my head for a bit, and I just want to see if there are any holes in my logic. This is the process I have thought of for buying BTC, then moving to SR.

create alternate/throwaway email and cryptoXchange account running tor.
use bitinstant (running tor) to deposit cash to my cryptoXchange account
buy BTC on cryptoXchange (still running tor)
send BTC to SR

hypothetically since I am running tor the whole time, there should be little to no trace, correct? Should I have to worry about BT Fog or transferring it around many times since I was anonymous all steps of the process?

Thats pretty much what I do, with a few of my own security measures thrown in.

Far from an expert though, so hopefully someone more knowledgeable than I will come along.

Doesn't cryptoxchange flag Tor accounts? You're broadcasting to their server you are using a Tor proxy.
Also, somebody could end up banned and when you try to log into your account.. same IP comes up and you get banned too.

At least put a socks5 proxy in your browser on top of Tor
