So I've made a couple of orders through Silk Road, got some 2c-c, 2c-i, and some methylone. Now I am fixing to make a fairly larger order of 3 gr of MDMA.
And I'm a little nervous.
Maybe's it's because when I was tripping on 2c-i the other night, I realize HOW INSANE it is that I'm buying drugs on the internet. Cool, but kind of insane.
I think the risk factor hit me.
And before I make this next big order I want to be safe. See, I've ordered RCs which aren't really checked for. In small amounts too. 20mg here, 40 mg there. But getting full grams of MDMA is a different matter.
If I do get caught, what happens? I was looking online. A lot of people say that you just get a letter in the mail and nothing else. Others say that if they catch it, they wait till you pick up the package, and as long as you don't open it, you are fine. Others say that even if you don't open it, you are in trouble. What's the truth here?
What are the chances of getting caught? If I do get caught, what happens?
And yeah, I know I can just deny it away, but really how much good is that going to do?
Additionally, I'm using a University P.O. Box, so I'm not sure how that much more suspicious that makes it.
Have you ever heard of anyone getting caught? What happened?

Nobody knows. we live all over the world, with different laws, different internet setups, so as far as purchasing stuff on SR, it's anybody's guess...I mean, we speculate a lot, but this is pioneer freedomland man...not for the faint of heart...
Best suggestion is always going to be the same: don't say nothin', get a lawyer...
As far as shipping practices, you really should read through the shipping forums, and the security forums....but we never agree, so, in the end, got to decide what seems best, and hope you're right :) Life's short, enjoy! :)
How likely is it? Fuck if I know...nobody can know... :)

Impossible to quantify. But here is how it is:
How law enforcement find drug packages
1) The seller does a crap job, and the pack either smells or is leaking something or otherwise appears suspicious
2) You get unlucky and a drug dog smells the drugs
3) You get unlucky and your package is sent through an X-ray and a worker spots the drugs
4) The seller is compromised and his outgoing packs are being flagged
5) You have been caught getting stuff in the mail before so your incoming mail is being flagged
Things to keep in mind
1) This scene has been around for a long time... the vast majority of drug packs go unnoticed.
2) Never ever (EVER!) sign for any pack that you know contains some illegal shit.
3) It is hard to deny the drug pack is yours if you have a drug stash in your home
4) If one is ever caught (this goes for any crime), do not admit or deny or tell a sob story or whatever. Say nothing and consult with an attorney.
If the substance is a grey-area semi-legal one, then one might get off with just love letter from customs or whoever. If it is an illegal substance, then a controlled delivery and subsequent arrest are certainly possible.
Don't do the crime if you are not prepared to face the consequences. Be safe.

The other responses contain good information. If I may add to that I would suggest that if you ever find yourself in a situation where someone is asking you questions that you keep calm and think before you speak. It doesn't matter if it's someone who works at your university, to a letter carrier, to a police officer - if someone is asking or talking about your mail keep yourself from blurting out information.
If you're using a university PO box then it's not probably not on the same level of suspicion as a regular PO box. If you're living in a dorm and it's the only way for you to receive mail then it's not at all suspicious.
Many universities have legal aid clinics that provide some services to students and faculty. You may want to look into that if you ever find yourself in a position in which you need to call a lawyer, I would hope that they'd do their best to help you directly or referring you to another lawyer.

If I haven't done any crimes, never been caught with stuff in my mail etc, then do you feel that a love letter is more likely?
I think I am going to do it, I just want to do my research first.

First of all having drugs arrive at your door step does not mean that you ordered them. Second for 3g of mdma getting a warrant and setting up a raid is going to cost a shit ton of money and time for the police department. Unless it was a huge amount like an ounce, I really doubt you have to worry. I will recommend aakoven for mdma, his shipping methods are incredible. As mentioned above the best advice is if something does happen DO NOT SAY A WORD. The more you talk and have a long story the more guilty you look. For all they know you have a friend in the NL or where ever that sent you a package without your knowledge, or someone who doesnt like you was trying to set you up. This is all assuming you are using your real name and what not. If you have a po box in a fake name then the evidence is starting to build against you.

Who knows? Some people get lucky but then again some people don't. And contrary to what the previous poster suggests, people CAN be and HAVE been busted for small amounts.
Just don't sign for anything, ever. If someone asks you to sign say that you do not recognize the sender or were not expecting a package, tell them to send it back or trash it, and eat the loss.
Cheers

A little illumination after consulting with criminal atty here -
In addition to retaining counsel - the blind brokerage system where buyers and sellers really cant identify each other thwarts a LE case compilation that seeks to complete the circle. If you keep that computer clean (see many good posts on keeping the browser bundle and all PGP keys on an encrypted removable USB or SD drive.) then the totality of the case is your little package. LE may not know this at first - possession is after all, possession - so get familiar with your state and federal quantity guidelines for charging a drug felony.
If that's too much.....research, then do as above, dont sign, dont talk. retain counsel, even a public defender. I am pretty sure by now that the international mail route between US and NL is at an elevated risk compared to domestic mail carrying small letter sized amounts of no no.
The USPS is just so broke and overwhelmed, they are going to cut off Saturday deliveries. That means they have little bandwidth to check 1st class mail. Customs in another game, due to the lavish funding since 9/11 - I am living proof and I wont mess with international since the love letter. I am still researching the potential impact on my various mailstreams.
be careful, start with small amounts, seek experienced vendors that make their shipments look like regular bizmail. the one pack I had seized from NL was lumpy and puffy and handwritten, just asking for it, when it couold have been slipped into a Birthday card.

I live in a mid rise building. We have a concierge, who signs for all packages. We either pick them up on our way in or the concierge will bring them and put them in our apartments if we have given them directions to do so.
Is this better? Safer?

You should work with vendors that do not require signatures for delivery. Period. One the other hand, I like the isolation of the doorman, even if your identity is known. Not bad, like a PMB, but plausibly deniable. I don't know what that is, I did not accept it. I will instruct my bldg management to refuse all mail from that sender. Etc....you get me?
I didnt order it, I wont sign for it, I (really)don't know who sent it. its a fluke - its a hoax, its retaliation. The rest, speak to my counsel.

and the daytime concierge is way cool, she would call me or something and say "dont come home" lol... 8)

marry her, no shitting,

As much as it might seem worse, it is actually a lot less suspicious in my opinion. I'm not sure what country you attend university in nor how large your university is either. This is my stance/experience with ordered to campus...
It is nearly 100% safe. Think about it, you live in a dorm building with probably 300+ kids total. How old is your building? 10 years old? 20? 30? Older? 300 different students every year x 10 years= 3000 different names ordering shit to the same building (with the same address). The simple truth is they cannot flag a dorm building as "suspicious" even if people have been busted for ordering drugs there previously. Students receive mail from EVERYWHERE be it a random state/county or random countries. Literally thousands of pieces of mail go through that same building on a weekly basis. I never had a package intercepted in all my time ordered to campus (a university with around 30000 students). This may not hold true to smaller universities though. Hope this makes you feel a bit better...

Ordered from Dopeboy and received package no problem. Good stuff. In case of controlled bust, I just took the package and laid low for a couple of days.
Also I recommend Dopeboy's MDMA/MDEA super smooth roll.

I haven't yet ordered anything. Still studying the community and getting a feel for all the sellers before I bite the bullet. So my opinion may not be quite valid but...
I do think this is the least likely scenario of any thing going wrong (namely, bunk product, not making it through customs, seller not actually sending product because you paid out of escrow, etc).
Here's why: In most US states (and probably in many European countries) "trafficking" of drugs varies by definition but requires usually between 5 and 10 grams for meth and cocaine, and 1 gram for LSD (just read this as "obviously non-personal, short term stash amounts of drugs". Federal trafficking laws are similar. Not only this, but they must prove intent to sell by either showing documentary evidence such as phone records or tools of the trade such as scales and empty pill caps or baggies to have it hold up in court if you have a decent lawyer. If you're ordering, for instance, a gram or two of MDMA or cocaine, or a 10-sheet of acid, it simply would not be worth LE's resources or time to operate a sting, and if you're a first time offender, the penalties would probably be minimal. If you're ordering an ounce or more of these substances (or few hundred hits of acid), that's when you should get paranoid.
If these small amount of drugs are found by customs, they will probably simply be confiscated, and the destination may be flagged for further scrutiny of packages in the future (in which case I would simply use another address), but I would not worry about a full SWAT team raiding your house or dorm. Moreover, since there can be no real money trail if you obtained your bitcoins in an anonymous way, and since the seller is probably in another country, LE's main goal of identifying and arresting the source would likely be fruitless.
The only situation where you might be in some trouble is if the packaging is so awful that the substance is plainly visible or detectable, in which case a nosy neighbor, mailman, or mail sorter (in a dorm) may involve LE. and/or the manager of your place of residence. Many universities have strict drug policies, and so the worst that could happen is you will get expelled. Apartment buildings/condos also have liability for illicit dealings conducted on the property (for which they usually carry insurance), and so they may have the right to evict you as well.
In short, consequences -- possibly. Consequences involving jailtime -- less possibly, unless you're buying large amounts. Also, don't shit where you sleep -- find a place to ship that won't have the above repercussions.

This is really for everyone not just the OP but always keep in mind that it IS possible to get caught one day.
After a nice run of successful deliveries it's very easy to think that all the future orders will get through too.
We kind of live in an alternate reality here on SR because we openly buy, sell, and chit-chat daily about things that are still highly illegal and extremely taboo for possibly the majority of your country's population.
I guess I just wanna say be careful, double check your routine looking for weak spots, learn from people with experience but always remember it could all go down in flames one day.
BTW, out of interest does anyone know if ONE single person has been busted yet as a direct result of operating through SR?

Its no big deal as long as you use one of the top vendors. They all know how 2 get thier product 2 the masses. I had 1 address that 2 years ago got 2 love letters and drug still came in the mail with no real difference. But make sure you get some good mdma. There is some stuff that is better than others.
