"if its bitter its a spitter" i know most of you have heard that before
can anyone explain the bitter taste on the blotters that everyone is complaining about?
i have taken about 20 different prints of lsd and never were they that bitter, only twice have i tasted the ink
some people are saying it is ethanol, or something used in the laying of the blotter
i have tasted ink on a blotter before and it was not bitter and it did not last that long, the bitterness on the two tabs i had on Wednesday lasted the whole time they were in my mouth ~30minutes, and it made me burp.
to comment on the LSD quality, i would say quite weak compared to the tabs i get locally, i had two and wanted another 2, but i didn't take anymore. i would normally take 1-2, max 3 tabs
i hope it is from the solution they used to lay the blotters and not improperly made LSD, as i hear that can be very bad for you :-\
so what say you vendors? why is your lsd bitter?
-
the Hoffman i had from this website were bitter but were definitely LSD. i also had other tabs in my life that were tested and tried to be lsd but were bitter. they were always blotter and never WOW so my guess is ink. are u referencing any specific vendor or product?
-
Which tabs in specific are you referencing?

sam -- Do you know then why American L typically has no flavor (or if any, kind of metallic in my experience) ? Where as all this Euro L across the board has that trademark bitter flavor?

My LSD is sourced from Europe, and it has no taste.
LSD shouldn't have any taste. Bitter usually means a DOx chemical.

Thats true about DOx's but the come up on those is two hours. The come up on these Europe L's are on par with the correct come up. I am curious about the bitterness too though.

Psychedelics usually taste bitter, but a tab of acid has so little LSD on it that you should never taste it. If you have a bitter, chemical taste when you put the tab in your mouth, it might have something other than LSD which would have a higher dose, and thus enough material on the tab to taste.

I possibly spoke out of turn. I haven't tried yours yet davidd :) I'm referring in particular to the mass market prints that Mitanox and Asbjorn move, which have in my expereince, a very bitter taste, and a very very acid-like trip, quick come up (DOx takes hours)..if not pure LSD then possibly some ergoloid?
-
I have had those European prints. And I have been dosed by Dox as well.
There are two different bitter tastes. The doses from Europe (Holland) have a sour alcohol type bitter taste, which means some chemical used to quickly evaporate was used in laying the crystal. It's definately LSD. We did these and GDF from the U.S. and its the same trip. T
The DOx dose which is bitter is a metallic type taste, like one is eating aluminum. The metallic taste stays with you for like 15 minutes sometimes afterwards. The comeup of this type of LSD takes 3 hours as well and there is a noticeable lack of sexual euphoria that is so LSD-like.

lol sam you're so cute.
You guys shouldn't rely on come up time to judge if its LSD or not. That is not very accurate lol.
I might start selling LSD reagent tests for around $10 each. Good idea?

a little tip for you all.
If you want clean nice acid look for some of the Krishna blotters here. They are 100+ and have no taste. I love this L.
take care

that depends on the rc and the test kit
Sam although your tone has changed your still a punk ass in my opinion.
UV will destroy the lovely LSD if you get all carried away with exposure. Also hit and miss on UV in my opinion. It depends on how it is laid. If it is applied dropwise via syringe in will lie more on the surface and can be seen more easily. If the traditional GDF method is used and a gram is dissolved in alcohol and then stacks of sheets soaked and dried the small amount of crystal will lie deeper in the paper and be less visible to uv light.
Davidd if you offer Ehrlichs I am very interested while some indoles do test as false positives it is a very good screening tool.

USEFUL INPUT:
First forum post here but I was very glad to read of a topic regarding bitter lsd taste because I had the same concern.. in fact years ago a collegue had insisted to me that "lsd should be tasteless and if it's bitter then it's lsa" (lsa is another ergot compound known as lucys cousin and found in Deadly-Nightshade seeds and Hawaiian-Baby-Woodrose seeds...
BUT
I trust the vendor named DRamsterdam.. and he frequently tests his merchandise and posts updates of these tests on his profile.. and I truly believe these test-scores are genuine because sometimes they are a little disappointing and he acknowledges this and makes appropriate changes to his stock.. and I tried his AlbertHoffman blotters.. I didn't think they were as strong as they should have been.. but yes I noticed the bitter taste straight away - and it concerned me at the time.. however my collegues who indulged with me on the same occasion said it felt like a normal clean trip.. and I've since learned that DRamsterdam has got his test-results in for those blotters and his results are as follows:
"Test results are in of the hoffman blotters. Its a bit lower than expected but its the real deal: 75 uq. No additives of any kind"
So I've had my curiosity over taste and strength explained.
And I'd like to take this chance to really express my thanks and respect to DRamsterdam. His first delivery to me was impossibly fast (Amsterdam to New Zealand in under 4 days) and everything about his product, communications, attitude, thorough attention to detail, testing-statistics and feedback has impressed me.
Silk Road continues to be some pie-in-the-sky fictional idea to me that is too good to be true.. and yet somehow it's real and I'm part of it.

I think we've heard the ink story over and over, so here's a different one from someone who knows a lot about acid:
"...there's some strange shit going on in europe though. it's mass produced and, from what i'm told, they often apply additional chemicals to try and preserve the acid longer. the exact chemicals are a mystery and even the person picking it up straight from the factory don't know what the hell it is."
