Title: Don't fall for phishing scams ! - A collection of fake SR addresses
Post by: aredhel on February 21, 2013, 12:49 pm
In case you haven't noticed yet, there's a couple of website which are not SR but mimick it's login page. All of them I have seen so far additionally ask for the PIN, but you cannot rely on this.
The only way to check if you have the real SR is looking at the URL which must read

http://silkroadvb5piz3r.onion/

any other than this will likely be a scam.
They WILL store everything you enter and they WILL try to log on your real SR account once you provide them with the password.

In the next section I'm listing a few fakes- I intend to edit and update this list if you send me more
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
http://ibe45p3bm4o7yo5g.onion (phishing site, mimicks SR interface with PIN)
http://6gorm5xybnpzsngy.onion -"-
http://silkroadxmx45vk4.onion -"-
http://tfaqeav4iwpe3566.onion -"-
http://juz4yshoeabvwwo6.onion -"-
http://silkroadnw2x5zqa.onion -"-
http://silkroadv5p5cbl6.onion -"- & after entering it forwards you to a "dea sized" clearnet site
http://xdevzhvavwf5v5f3.onion (different layout, possibly phishing as well)
http://7ibcuoqkz7hi2oim.onion (advertised as SR but instead a message board called "honor among thieves" appears - you CAN register but never give them your SR password !)
http://silkroadvb5piz3r.com - clearnet site, looks like original adress but has .com TLD - this might even be LE, better be careful

Perhaps someone with coding knowledge can do something about these scammers ;)

Do NOT use your SR password on any onion site, or drug-related clearnet site - even and especially those that claim to be affiliated with SR
Do check if you log into SR or forums if the URL is correct, you best memorize them ;)

it's actually just piz3r, but yeah, the fact that it's kinda like l337 makes it easier to remember :D
