Hello everyone :) I am a new vendor here as some of you may know and I need to know the best way to make a back up wallet address should silkroad go down and such my coins will be sent there. What is the best, fastest and most secure way of making a back up wallet address? Thanks for your advice :) much appreciated.

Probably the most *reliable* method would be to keep a wallet on a system local to you, rather than depending upon an online wallet to be available just when you need it most. That would involve installing the Bitcoin client [ sourceforge.net/projects/bitcoin/files/Bitcoin/ ] and keeping it updated from time to time. Once installed, the backup address to specify in your SR profile can be found in the Bitcoin client under the Receive Coins tab -- just copy the address found there into your SR account profile. If / when SR goes down for some reason, simply fire up the local Bitcoin client, let it retrieve the current blockchain, and your coins should be there.

a more secure backup address wouldn't actually have to be IN an active wallet anywhere. you could use the "brain wallet" method. otherwisew a paper wallet if you have a place you feel comfortable keeping something that could potentially be used as evidence.
