I am launching two new listings of absinthe, a verte and a blanche, and I am looking for someone to give an honest review. I have a limited amount to give away and I want some buyers with good stats so post your stats (or PM me them) and I will send you the link to the hidden listing. Also let me know which you want, the blanche (white) or the verte (green).
Hausgemacht Absinthe Verte is a 148 proof (74% ABV) green absinthe. It is powerful and bitter.
Hausgemacht Absinthe Blanche is a 148 proof (74% ABV) white absinthe. It has none of the bitterness of absinthe verte because it has not undergone the coloring process. It is light and herbal yet powerfully alcoholic. This is my prefered way to drink absinthe.
The recipe is from 1855 and the method of production is from La Belle Epoch during the peak of absinthe popularity in France. First Grande Wormwood, Aniseed, Fennel, and Star Anise are macerated in 180 proof neutral alcohol for 24 hrs. This is then strained and re-distilled. Half of this distillate is then steeped in more wormwood, liquorice root, mint leaves, citrus peal, and lemon balm at 140 degrees until the proper color is reached. It is then strained and reunited with the other half of distillate and bottled in opaque wire top bottles to preserve the natural coloring. The final flavor is a unique blend of herbal complexity with the anise and mint predominating.
Prepared properly by slowly dripping ice water over sugar cubes suspended on an absinthe spoon over a small amount of absinthe in a glass will result in the beautiful dark green absinthe slowly turn to a light cloudy green louche. This milky opalescence is a result of components of anise and fennel with poor water solubility. The release of these dissolved essences coincides with a perfuming of herbal aromas and flavors that "blossom" or "bloom", and brings out subtleties that are otherwise muted within the neat spirit.

Of course I want to try your Absinthe Verte. I sent a PM to you on the main site . Your description above brought back memories of Europe and Texas...yes Texas. I could almost smell the herbal aroma ...ahh the wormwood..anise..fennel,it's been a while. Thanks for the memories.
p.s. The blanche would be fine also.

I'll leave this offer up for a day or so and then review all the PM's. My inbox is slammed. :)
That's understandable, it's an awesome offer! Hopefully I got my PM in enough time to be a consideration. Would love the opportunity to sample and review some quality absinthe.

I would love to review. Me and a small group of girlfriends of mine get together every weekend and just drink wine around the house and watch movies. We've tried the American offerings before but I have found they lack that.......smokey/dreamy quality of what I experienced in Europe. Been looking at your listings and considering purchasing actually. I and my girls would love to review for you!
