Title: Don't check tracking with TOR
Post by: owenk on July 15, 2012, 09:57 am
Just read this in a bio on the Armory and figured I'd post it here.  Don't check tracking information using TOR since it might automatically flag the package as suspect.  Hadn't thought of that before, but it makes sense!

Yeah, that's solid advice.

It "makes sense," but I've still not seen any actual evidence supporting this well-propagated belief.  Not to say that it's NOT true, but does anyone have any evidence that it IS true?

QTC released the intel report a while back but I can't find it anymore. What you can do if you're really paranoid is go to a third party site like packagemapping.com via TOR and then look up your tracking number.

Oh god, not this crap again.  Really?  If someone got's any evidence instead of "that makes sense"  or "due dilligence" please post.  I would love to read it.

Sorry guys, but misinformation has to stop somewhere.
