Title: Coca Seeds
Post by: Mr. California on July 06, 2012, 03:32 am
I've seen Marijuana clones and seeds, poppy seeds, various cacti, and mushroom spores, but no Coca seeds.

I'm kind of surprised by this. People need to start growing so that we get these coke prices down  ;D.

Any other seeds that you think we need?

It is possible to obtain the coca plant ( eritrexicon or something ) the common cocaplant. Coca is not only found in the eritrexicon. Not important. I forgot how and where, but already know that it will grow in my country the Netherlands. The law is clear that every eritrexicon coca that  grows in the wild in the Netherlands has to be removed or destroyed as much as is possible.
But I never had the goal to grow that plant over here.
But it is possible.
Of topic;
The price of poppyseeds was for a few years back between the 90 eurocents and the €1,80 per kg seeds. A 1000 kg was the one year 900 euro's and the other 1800 euro's per 1000 kg. (Goes in the Netherlands)

coca seeds are very fragile and have a very very limited time they survive. usually after shipping they are useless.
coca plants cost about 250$

so where could i buy one?

Or if i have to go on an expedition to find it, where would be a good place to start looking?
As far as i know, India has 6 or 7 agro-climatic regions. I am sure coca plants will thrive in at least one of them.

coca is very hard to plant. be sure to get the right spot where you want to grow it, otherwise you will waste time and money, coca is not comparable to weed growing.

I have not heard of coca plants being grown outside of South America and even then, just in western SA.  There are at least 2 types of coca which contain cocaine: Erythroxylum coca and Erythroxylum novogranatense.  Like OJP said they are hard to grow and are viable for a limited time as seedlings and the seeds themselves I have heard need to be kept moist at all times, because if they dry out, they die.
This has been a plant which I have looked into obtaining seeds for a NUMBER of YEARS, but to no avail.  I have seen the seeds sold, but never heard whether they germinated or grew into plants and they were expensive.

A friend decided that he was going to grow some so he ordered some seeds on a clearweb site. He figured that he would grow some coca plants and make some super pure cocaine... He grew 8 plants outdoors, which took much work and in the ends he was only able to produce 10g of coke. which wasnt even enough to cover his investment into doing it. you need to grow A LOT of coca plants to produce a decent amount of cocaine.....A side note, the coke was delicious.

interesting...
I think i have enough facilities to arrange for a controlled environment (lights/humidity/nutrients, etc) to grow coca plants.
In any case i would like to give it a try, even if it fails.
Is it really that easy to find coca seed on clearnet?
I have had no success..

I really have no idea the exact source, it was a south american based botanical shop. i will get in touch with him and see if he still remembers if you want.

indoor growing for coca is completly unrealistic. just try to get some info about harvesting coca plants and how much leafes you need for 1g cocain. you will realize pretty fast why no one is growing cocain indoors.

hey there. I once ordered coca seeds there: http://www.angelfire.com/planet/dbotany/
I ordered a pack of 15 seeds for 50 $ (western union), I finally received 16, all of them germinated and developed into very fragile plants. But then it started to become sad... I lost one after another, mostly because I was very inexperienced in growing plants, I used the wrong soil (foamed clay/soil mixture), over-fertilized, used the wrong light source (fluorescent tubes...omg) and finally got a spider mite infection. I gave part of the plants to a friend, he had a 150W sodium vapor lamp, and his very last plant grew until about 50 cm tall (after about three years), it finally died when he moved somewhere else... (He wasn't an expert either...)
So I wasn't successful at all, but it was fun.
To produce your own coke, forget that. But just as a project, for fun, why not?
Another source is the local botanical garden, almost every botanical garden has e.coca (because it is/was an important medicinal plant), but of course they don't write the name on it, as people would start to tear them out. They usually are among other tropical plants.
A cutting I took from such a plant didn't grow any roots although I used rooting hormone... :D

i also think this is a good idea main problem is it takes a year to 18 months to get it to a point where it can be harvested then it can be harvested every 3 months and you need like 500 plants to make it viable..................upside is not many people would recognize it so you could plant in the local Forrest and it would be safe
