Title: Paying For Extra Product Not Intended For Your Receipt
Post by: fearlessfreap on March 18, 2012, 09:30 am
Ever get an order that had more than it should? I don't mean it was a little heavy, or even extra for being late or other service correction, but actually receive 2, 3, or 4 times what you ordered?

Well, even if karma isn't watching it felt damn good to pay for that extra product particularly knowing what it would be like if positions were switched and knowing the other side is a hard working, honest bloke we don't want to lose due to the losses such mis-shipments would cause without us recipients paying for what we received.

After all, this isn't some evil massive blood sucking corporation, government, or syndicate we're talking about here, but our treasured business partner from a market of the future.

This is good stuff. Being deceitful and lying by omission hurts the community. Thanks for being honest.

Indeed, and I make no judgements towards those who were recipients of such mistakes. I only ask they consider payment to the vendor.

i was confused at first, but then i figured out what you're saying.

yeah, i didnt even have a scale when i started out on SR, but i don't think i ever got such a blessing heh

maybe with a sample i ordered.... it seemed to be pretty fat for a point, but then again, i wouldn't know at all

ummm.... caveat vendor? like, as a vendor, you should know what you're doing, just saying...

should just message the vendor you got it form. hard to say what could have happen odds are it got mix up with someone else can happen in a few ways i can think of when making the label the vendor use the wrong address. or just miss read the order when you get a lot it can be easy for that to happen all we see when you place a order is this

(listing name) (quantity) (address) (buyer stats) (buyer name) (how long be4 it late) (then to mark if it ship/cancel it)

dont have any order that not are ship so may have mix up what box come be4 what. if any are mix up it just the buyer name/stats one.
hard to say what it looks like and it can get a pain to see it b/c if someone send a very long address like there pgp with it or whatever (not saying that bad to do should all ways pgp your address) the address box get very long what makes all the other get very long as well but all the other stuff stays in the center of there box. just saying all of that to say what it looks like that can make it easy to miss read the next order listing name or quantity so that may have happened.

edit
but in all just message the vendor and ask what up if it stuff that dose not cost a lot like 5 X for $20 may have sent you 7+ X to try to get you to post a good review  on forums. someone who post good review and post a lot of the forum saying to get stuff form them is worth a lot more then the cost of sending a bit more.

The extra of which I speak would be well beyond any small padding or extras one may receive from a vendor and any such recipients would be aware the quantity was a mistake...but that's only if they noticed the extra  product as stealth from this vendor could easily be disregarded once the initial quantity was located just as I did. Luckily it didn't get tossed and I had a second thought to recheck.  I'm not sure at the moment if I should go into any further detail.

And then yes, message the vendor, unless you're just going to rub it in their face - that won't build a good relationship.
