Hi all,
I am a newcomer to the Road and have yet to purchase my first lot of Bitcoins. I have heard Localbitcoins.com is good but in Australia SMS verification is required to send a trade request. Will I need to obtain a new sim card and register it under a fake name to do this or can I do it straight to my phone?
Also, I have used my personal Mac computer and WiFi connection to browse the road and register for a Localbitcoins account - no good?
Would love any information you guys have to share.
Thanks

To be totally safe you'd buy a $20 phone and a $2 sim, either with cash or with an anon prepaid credit card, and create a new account away from your house. Once you've got everything verified you can access your localbitcoins account from home, but only over the tor network.
