Title: Using a Coffee Grinder on Bud for Vaping?
Post by: 357beerdrinker on July 16, 2013, 02:31 am
I have a Volcano and a Pax vaporizer and need my bud ground up pretty good. I also don't like sitting there and spinning my grinder for 5 minutes just for a small amount of usable bud. Would using a coffee grinder increase my efficiency on grinding my bud? Since I vape, I'm not worried about "freshness"; pre ground vapes as good as fresh ground from my experience.

Assuming the coffee grinder parts are dishwasher safe, would it clean it well enough to leave out in a publicly available space like my kitchen? (I have no roomates, just me but I entertain every few weeks)

I would guess that's people's go to when they don't have a grinder. What I would be concerned about is how much keif is getting knocked off my bud when using any grinder.

The grinding chamber on it seems very well enclosed. It's also made for spices so I would imagine people don't want a bunch of spices falling down inside the machine.  Any kief that gets knocked off during grinding will be scraped off and put back in with the bud.

I'll give it a shot with an 1/8th first and see how it goes.
