Title: Data Security - Trying to productive with my postings
Post by: ArizonaJack on August 07, 2013, 09:24 pm
Looking to hide sensitive information on a microsd and stuff in my wallet, or possibly under the skin.

Yes a bit extreme, but just looking at possibilities now.

Hiding  a microsd in a wallet should be doable, and hard to discover, however using it in practice would be a PIA.

So... is there something that small (mainly focuses on thickness) with a bluetooth & filesystem, something like a pi rasberry, but much much smaller & thinner and with a powersource that could last a day or 2.  Ideally charge with induction so don't need to pull it out to charge.

That way I could access my password database or what have you without pulling the microsd out of my wallet.  (There's bluetooth risk, but not too worried about that at this point)

size wise meets the bill!

http://www.rfduino.com/

Shrunk down an Arduino to the size of a finger-tip!

RFduino: A finger-tip sized, Arduino compatible, wireless enabled microcontroller, low cost enough to leave in all of your projects!

Anything under the skin is just more hassle to remove and dispose of in emergencies. Also there's not even that much need for excessive security precautions unless you're into some real business or they have some reason to monitor your family/area.

Besides that, be novel and put shit on floppy disks. Print out labels of old PC games. Nobody is going to think those old retro PC games are sensitive intel and even if they do they need to go get something with a floppy disc drive to read them (+encryption etc obviously).
