Hi!
We are HighMountainSeeds and we'd like to be available in this space to answer any question pertaining to our seedstock or products.
We've got 70-80 seedlings started already this year and these seeds have impressed us greatly. We have been trying out some of the seed selections from the other vendors here and I can promise you that these germinate faster and better than pretty much everything else we've found so far.
We'd like to point out a few great reasons to consider our cannabis genetics for your next grow:
1. We give our seeds a lot of love. :-)
2. All of our seeds are produced under the sun, in greenhouses. You are assured complete expression of a plants genetics by using a full-spectrum light source. Man-made light is just inferior. Additionally, we're at high altitude, and this means even more sun exposure than normal (the buds grow amazingly potent here).
3. We grow in soil using a balanced nutrient routine. This is not just a bud harvest that we seeded, our production runs are dedicated. We use adequate nitrogen levels in late flowering to maintain proper seed formation.
4. We let them grow a month longer than usual to ensure the maximum amount of seed growth and to ensure the majority of the seeds will sprout.
5. We hand select our males from a large number of plants, usually around 100. The biggest/best one becomes the daddy.
6. We mate to proven genetics including oldschool strains that the mountain hippies have been growing for decades as well as dispensary cuttings from the MMJ community.
Out of 70 or 80 seeds we've popped this year, only one has failed so far. Most of these seeds start to crack open within the first 12-24 hours of soaking them in water. We forgot to scarify one bunch like we normally do and 100% of them popped within the first 3 days anyway!
We'll work on getting some seedling growth pictures and, of course, some finished bud shots later on in the year.
We are new to SR as a vendor but have been lurking as users for awhile. We're out to contribute to the community in the best way that we can. We hope we can help your garden to grow!
Peace all!

Do you already have some seeds listed on SR?
Would be nice to see more breeders on SR, so far there is only one.
-
Sounds like you have a neat operation going on. The strains sound nice, but you are supposed to list strains as Female X Male, so the Mr Nice Guy should be on "the right" for lack of better term.
Blueberry x Mr Nice Guy
Jack Herrer x Mr Nice Guy
(Belladonna x Alaskan Thunderfuck) x Mr Nice Guy
On the blueberry "back cross" was the second blueberry the male [(Blueberry x Mr Nice Guy) x Blueberry] or was the first cross the male[Blueberry x (Blueberry x Mr Nice Guy)]?
From what I understand this isn't a true bx since it wasn't the exact same blueberry clone, so the cubing when you punnet square is really dependent upon how true breeding the blue berry parents were.
No bloom nutes really? Do your plants uptake N that late in bloom? After stretch I've noticed N can stress some strains (rez's sour diesel ibl will nanner with too much N in bloom). But most won't even uptake N and it puts the pH levels in an area that the potassium and phosphorus, which are needed, won't uptake.
The most important question of all though; What traits do you look for in your males? Specifically that Mr Nice Guy male used in these crosses.

Hey, thanks for the replies.
I keep forgetting to check these forums, I've been too busy outside.
I am the selling side of the HMS team and get my info from my partner who actually executed the seed grow. He did this production run before I met him so I wasn't around to witness the process.
That is nice to know on the Male to Female naming. I'll have to edit all my listings now, yay.
As far as your questions, I'll try to answer them the best that I can and I'll get more detailed clarifications from my friend.
The Mr Nice Guy male was started among 100 other plants. It was the biggest one in the room and I believe my friend said that it may have had decent trichome production. I will clarify if he took them out to that long.
The two blueberries are different pheno's of the same strain that has been bred up in the hills here for the last 25 or more years. This area has a very long cannabis production history as we're in hippie mecca here, probably only second to California historically. I'm talking commune type production from back in the 60's or whatnot. That is definitely before my time though. :D
I will get clarification on if the second Blueberry was a male or female. You are right that it won't be a true back-cross but it is close. If I recall correctly, my friend was looking to increase the Blueberry traits that he liked so much.
He says that he used balanced nutrients. I think that he means that he didn't force his plants to go with super-low levels on N during the final stages of growth. He said that low levels of N can end up hurting the seeds because they don't form properly. This would be in contrast to a normal production bud grow where you'd want to minimize stretching in late flower by reducing N levels.
I can get some more clarification if you'd like. My friend swears by these seeds and I'm pretty happy with all the ones I've popped so far. I have only had one failed seed out of all of the ones I've tried from the bags I have.
Thanks so much for looking, sorry it took so long to get back here.

I wanted to answer the question earlier, yes I do have multiple listing up now.
I have been transplanting like crazy and I took some images of these strains in veg mode outdoors. I will work on getting those posted somewhere. They all look fairly similar and seem to be growing well. I wish my season wasn't so short. :(
Here are some links. I will work on changing the names. :D

My buddy came over today and I have some more info from him.
He said the Mr Nice Guy male was selected from 100 or so other plants. It was a 6-foot tall full-on male (not hermaphrodite) that produced over an ounce of pollen. He said it was so top heavy it kept falling over so he had to tie it up. It was covered with trichomes.
This is the G-13 x Hashplant strain from Sensi Seeds mixed with a local Blueberry strain we're talking about here. That is the makeup of the original male he wanted to work with. All of the other crosses, JH, BxATF, and the Double Blueberry were in the last seed run and they used the pollen from this male.
I'm not sure how much clearer of a picture I can paint of the genetics at this point but I feel confident that these beans are going to make some people very happy. The plants I've got started all look great so far.
Peace all!

I'm not sure what you mean? There are two shipping options for each item, combined shipping and normal shipping. I think it's about $8 and that includes Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation. The extra buck or so helps defray packaging costs.
If you could be more specific perhaps I'm not noticing something?

Priority Mail with/DCN is already over $6 and keeps rising every few months. I do not send my packages flat-rate. All of my packages have delivery confirmation so they actually show up.
On top of it, I have to spend $5 in gas just to drive to the post office one-way, not including the return trip home.
I vacuum seal and pack in multiple layers.
$8 shipping is very reasonable from my end as I'm already eating some of that cost.
Select combined shipping only if you're purchasing multiple items at once. Make sure you pay for shipping on at least one of them.
Thx

Hi,
I'm currently in the middle of a dispute with a buyer. This will explain the recent 1/5 negative feedback that was left for me.
I'm working with SR Support to get to the bottom of this because from my end, I'm holding on to two DCNs with positive delivery confirmation. I feel cheated because I sent out extra seeds and made special trips to town to make sure a customer was happy. I'm getting shafted with the negative rating.
I'm just letting everyone know that I am still shipping seeds. I'm running low on nearly all of my strains. I should probably stop sending out so many freebies but I wanted to make all of my customers happy with their purchases.
Please be good to one another. I hope this rough patch gets smoothed over in the end. :-)

Sorry to hear that you're dealing w/ a difficult buyer, HMS. You deserve better.
I've know and worked w/ HMS elsewhere for years, including a couple of seed purchases. I've always been positively impressed by his professionalism and level-headed business style. I'm still loving the Romulan that I grew last year from some seeds he sold me. :)
I don't know the details of the deal in question. But it's a bad mark to give a bad rating to a vendor that is trying to resolve an issue and sending you extra product.
I hope that y'all don't get any more grief over this, HMS. You are a stand-up, reliable vendor and you have made many customers happy.

Thanks for the kind words RR, and very nice to see you here!
I appreciate the support. :-)

OK, so I now have a little more clarity on my current dispute. The 1/5 has been changed to a 2/5 by the buyer.
Apparently, my DCN shows delivered twice, only to then, a month later, be changed to unable to be delivered as addressed. I also realized my records had an error which caused me to assume I had shipped two packaged to the same buyer (one was for a different buyer.. mea culpa)
So, my buyer is not a scammer after all, but instead of reaching out to me just went ahead and threw on the bad marks. And all because our wonderful postal system.
I've had a 100% success rate for the last 4 or 5 years until now. Geez.
Working it out with said buyer now.

On a sad note, this has had the effect of completely demolishing my seed sales. Haven't seen a new order since all of this started 1+ week ago.
I wish SR would make buyers start some sort of dispute-resolution-mediation process when they want to put a low rating... give us a chance to make things right BEFORE they get out of hand.
My buyer said they didn't know what to do and just went ahead and put on the rating instead of trying to find a resolution. Once the sale is finalized (in this case, auto-finalized) they have no way of disputing an order. Feedback should be tied in with this system somehow.

I thought I'd post a closure to the feedback mess. USPS lost a package. They said they delivered it twice and then gave up a month later and said it was unable to be delivered as addressed. My buyer only wanted to be refunded since I was hesitant to ship again to the same address. I went ahead and refunded and the buyer changed the feedback to 5/5.
I'm glad this is behind but sheesh. Please, message me before you post anything but a 5/5 and give me a chance to work it out!
BTW, all of these genetics are looking amazing in the forest. I need a better camera!!!
Peace all!
