CLEARNET - https://blockchain.info/wallet/chrome-extension
There is also a firefox addon.
Would it be ok to install this in my TOR Browser and use it? Does this create any security holes that could be easily exploited? I am using bitcoin-qt on a USB stick right now, but may switch to this add-on if it works as good or better than bitcoin-qt.
Any input is appreciated.

The article is 5 years old. Let's suppose it's still true. Can every site do this or only addons.mozilla.org? If it's the latter, it doesn't really matter - I couldn't care less about being fingerprinted by Mozilla.
