Title: Shipping to Argentina
Post by: MDUK on March 13, 2013, 12:15 pm
So, I have a customer that wants me to ship a few things to Argentina - does anyone have any experience with their customs? I hear they're pretty strict, but I don't really know what to expect, and how to set my refund policy as a result...
The amounts I'll be sending can go in a couple of business letters, so we're not talking bulk shipments here.

I'd be interested in hearing about this. I may find myself in Argentina in the future.

I don't believe customs is an issue here, considering a small and discrete business envelope.   The major issue could be a sleazy and corrupt mailman stealing the letter if he sees it's coming from abroad.  He thinks it can contain cash or valuables....

This happens a lot in poor countries....

sent successfully registered, if you'll send unregistered there's high probability that it will get "lost" aka stolen by someone either in customs or by mailman
