New to this and finding the hardest part is getting BTCs. Trying out the link on MrCronks shop page, BTCxUK, who says he'll sell BTCs without the hassle - paid the money, waiting for the BTCs, will update this thread with details (how long it took etc.).
Question is - what is the easiest or most reliable legit exchange for £££ to BTC? Was looking into Mt.GOX, but loads of people say you need to get the account authorised in order to use it properly, but in order to do that they want a scan of your passport or driving license. Mt.GOX seems mainstream and legit so I'm not so fussed about them having it, but what's to stop them being hacked and then the hacker stealing my ID and getting me in the shit?
What do other people use?

I've only used blockchain.info, but I don't feel the need to try anywhere else. Being able to pay via Barclays Pingit is very convenient, their fees are reasonable and once I transferred the payment I received my coins within moments. The only downside in my eyes is that there's currently no way to pay that doesn't require a bank transaction.
