Anyone using the iPhone iOS7 beta? I installed it today and think its looks pretty bad in most areas!
Care to discuss?

Not available yet (at least not for me!)

I installed it yesterday, it is awesome so far

I don't like the icons at all. But, the implementation of the multitasking, and quick settings/notification centre is great. I also really like the animations, and subtle changes (the clock app moves in real time, the weather animations, etc.) Those are the reasons why my device was jailbroken. I think I'm going to keep the beta on for a few more weeks to see if I can put up with the easter egg colors, and if not, back to 6.1.2 I go!

I'm not keen on the look, and the quick access to some config items looks like its been thrown together IMO.
But no default apps?!? Its basically just a paint job :-\

I definitely understand where you're coming from. What are your plans as of now, downgrade? revamp? or keep ios 7 on? What kind of tweaks/apps were you using from cydia (if you jailbroke your device)?

..Press the 'Quote' button (top right of the message you want to quote).
I can't downgrade back to iOS 6 as far as I'm aware and there wont be a Jailbreak anytime soon as its version dependent. I'll have to live with the beta update cycles.
I think it looks pretty shoddy even for a beta. Here's my gripe list:
- The font can be too thin for viewing in direct sunlight
- Same for the white/greyness of the folders
- The default apps icons are too bright and contrast too much on each other
- The blur used for the effect on the task bar and other overlays is too blurred and generally makes most backgrounds too muggy compared to the rest of the background
- The background moves around when you tilt the device. It seems to only do this when tilting up and down however, not left and right, which seems odd
- The pop-up overlay quick config thing looks messy
- The drop-down notifications screen is much darker than the quick config pop up and the rest of the system, which feels like a spare wheel
- On the lock screen, it says "Swipe to unlock", however there's an swipe up icon below this text (for the quick config screen). That is a direct contradiction when your making very quick decisions. I keep trying to swipe up to unlock the device despite having used an iPhone for years now
- The system prefs are basically as long-winded and messy as they were before
- NO DEFAULT APPS!?!? What were they thinking
Phew.. glad I got that off my chest.
The only improvement I can see if the do not disturb feature can now be set to block calls when you're using the device also, and you can now block people via individual contacts.
Overall I feel just less connected to the device that follows me around in my pocket every day, which is a shame.

Haha! I definitely agree with some points of your gripe list.
I thought you could tinyumbrella a new shsh blob and enter dfu mode to downgrade no?
A lot of your gripe list has tweaks that I really enjoyed when on 6.x.x for example nc backgrounds did the blurred effect just right, and winterboard plus infinifolders took care of the icons and folder size. Perhaps what I miss most though, is Accelerate because these animations are slow (to me anyways) and I really appreciated the zippy speed that Accelerate gave me.

fuck ios, android shits all over that noise

I'm not familiar with "I thought you could tinyumbrella a new shsh blob and enter dfu mode to downgrade no?" so I'll have to look that up, thanks!
And yes, the animations do seem pretty slow at the moment - no doubt that will improve over time as we get closer to GM. I can also see animations in the background image jump erratically on occasion.
Also forgot the say that the new drop-down menu box looks HORRENDOUS on the apps that it works on.. really bizzare. I'm also having some issues with some phone calls.
A few nifty features (to be fair) however; I noticed is you can now move newstand into a folder to get rid of it essentially; you can now move folders into the task bar, for example making a folder of Phone, Messages, etc. then place it into the bottom area. This looks a little dodgy tho as it doesn't have any animation, and I have the feeling it might get the push. Finally not only is there no limits on folders, you can separate folder pages however you like - you don't need to fill up one page of the folder before going onto another, so you can sub-seperate apps which you couldn't do before.

Hmm those are nifty features but again, I'm sure we could just download a couple tweaks to get the same thing (and more fluidly at that). If you need help on downgrading/upgrading or anything iOS like, or if you get stuck, hit me up with a private message and I can walk you through it step by step to perfect what you have in mind for your iDevice. WE all have to remember that we control our devices and not the other way around haha. I think a minimal version of iOS 7 would be nice, however I'm sure with a little tweaking/theme variation I could get that on my own. What would be your perfect rendition of iOS 7? Because in all honesty the other versions of iOS were just tasteless and bland (albeit being simple and intuitive) so it's almost like I had to customize/jailbreak to get the phone I wish I could have straight out of the box.

im pumped to see what the first jailbreak for this does.

iOS 7 is still in a very rough beta (they still haven't finalized what the icons are going to look like). I'm sure by the time its ready for an official release some time this fall it will be much better.
