Title: BTC thru bitinstant.com
Post by: TerriblePerson on September 28, 2012, 08:50 pm
BITINSTANT.com allows you to pay cash for bitcoins, it provides other services but this is really the only reason I was interested in it. The site takes 3.99% commission for each transfer you select a payment option (this includes cash, credit card, money order, bank transfer and a few other things.) You then select where to send the BTC (this can be a BTC address, or email or Mt Gox account and a few other options) You're given 2 codes after you choose the destination, you then (If paying cash) go to the nearest MoneyGram station and spend 30 minutes on the phone talking to someone who speaks English on a 1st grade level, pay the clerk an leave. My BTC was in my wallet within 1 hour, the MoneyGram order is ridiculously annoying, none of the people speak "good" English except the manager. You are able to access the site through Tor, you can even send the coins directly to your SR account but I wouldn't advise it. You need some basic personal information which can all be faked, this includes, full name, signature, phone number, address and the zip code. Just have all of those things made up before you walk in. You don't want to stutter over your name, they might get suspicious. The maximum you can send is $999 at any given time. It's an O.K. service. Great for laundering petty cash though.
