Title: Heroin#4 Questions
Post by: youngblood on May 18, 2013, 06:58 pm
Hello!
i have Heroin #4 @ home and have some questions!
Is it right i take first the heroin in the spoon than the water an heat it up ah little bit,not to much, only ah little bit?
If i see there are no other things in it an this is only ah brown clear liquid  it is fine and i can put up in ah needle with ah filter!

My questions are,

1)How long i have to heat it?

1) Should i do first the heroin in the spoon or the water?

Thank you for informations!

Regards

this is what I do..

make sure everything is clean before you start obviously..

then put the heroin in the spoon, pull up some water in the syringe and put it in the spoon.. use the back of the plunger to crush up and mix it until there is no residue left

you don't need to heat the spoon up usually.. just use warm water and it should mix up just fine

then pull the liquid into the needle through a filter (if you don't have a filter you can roll up some cotton off a q-tip and use that)

that's pretty much all.. umm make sure you don't hit the spoon with the needle when sucking up the liquid or you might dull the needle.. and make sure you use an alcohol pad before injecting

And take it easy to test the quality before going all out.

Geez guys you wanna be careful here giving advice fact is lots of #4 DOES need heat to break up properly depending upon the quality and adulterants and how #4 it is.

careful using really hot water too, you don't want to inject really hot water or you will get an awfukl rash and it hurts.

Finally, agitate it with the plunger end as he says, if it isn't completely dissolving then a little heat goes well, while you continue to agitate and once your happy its all dissolved, use your filter, draw it all up, THEN CHECK THE NEEDLE (how hot does it feel?) if the water is hot run it under cold water til it cools down. You don't want to be injecting almost boiling hot water, bad!

When dishing advice like this out guys, its important to remember the gear you usually get and are used to isn't probably the same as what the OP has in front of them.

Trying to not use any heat when its needed is a good recipe for an abcess.

Running a needle under cold water could expose it to bacteria.  You want to keep a sterile chain as much as possible with this type of thing.  Best practice would probably be to just wait for it to cool down a bit.  The best would be to let it cool before filtering.  Sometimes things will precipitate, or solidify when the solution cools.  It's better that it solidifies before cooling rather then after.

I would also not suggest taking the plunger out if you are really concerned with bacteria.  If it is an individually sealed needle you could use the orange tip, or the back of the plunger if it is a BD with a cap over the back.

A little heat is good.  I'm sure you will be just fine.

Better you take the time to cool it down (and I didn't mean the tip) than just cook then shoot, thats a recipe for disaster.

yeah in general there is bacteria everywhere anyway if you extrapolate that theory out.

But if a mix needs heat to break up you have to give it, no sense saying "but this is #4 and #4 NEVER needs heat", fact is anyone thats been doing it a whole has come across #4 that needs heat to properly dissolve.

If your in a rush, better run under cold water and bring it back to room temp - the plastic part not the metal tip/ needle since thats where the hot fluid is rather than just inject water that will BURN you. I have once or twice used water not boiling hot but a little too warm still, and the rash and pain makes it so you never make that mistake again.

I can't imagine doing it with seriously HOT liquid. Ouch.

I agree with you completely.

When I talk harm reduction I like to use best case examples.  We all know what we do in a hurry.
If our usual method is poorly prepared, then our rush jobs are downright dangerous.  It is easier to learn good habits so when you break them you will be in less danger.  I don't expect anyone to never cool it off by running the syringe under water, but knowing that it could cause bacteria to accumulate on the needle is good knowledge to have.

Knowledge is power, and in this case it is your own protection.

Take cooking coke cut with baking soda as a bad example.  When you heat it with a bit of water, the cocaine is an oil.  It will go fine through your filter with 0 problems (hypothetically).  When it cools it turns into crack.  Either in your arm, or in your needle.  Neither is good.  Some places do cut coke with soda since the charge for crack is disproportionate to the charge for cocaine.

The ideal would be to let it cool in the spoon, and then you can filter out the bad stuff.

I wouldn't expect to have that happen, but it would be better to not take the chance if we are talking harm reduction.

I can say in all honesty that I wouldn't drink some of the stuff I've used to cook shots.  It doesn't mean I would tell someone else it was a good idea.  I'm not trying to argue, just show my perspective on it.
