Title: Bitcoin related questions.
Post by: OneBadDream on July 27, 2013, 08:18 am
Is it safe to use desktop software as a wallet for your bitcoins? (www.weusecoins.com)
Will people sell Bitcoins at rates of $60? Or do you have to actually buy like 100 bucks worth at the least?

Does anyone know someone safe to work with to get bitcoins from localbitcoins online transactions?

-Thanks.

Usually see bitcoin advertisements for minimum $50, usually $100 minimum though.  Otherwise it's a waste of time.

Do not ask for references of people to work with on localbitcoins.  It's completely unnecessary for one, but more importantly you're asking people to risk revealing their identities in doing so.  Learn about how the site and the transactions there work.  It's pretty straight forward.

installing electrum (offline wallet) on a Tails USB flash drive is best - a 8gb USB drive can be had for $8 shipped from Newegg.com and then there's no trace of anything on your computer and your wallet is safe

Thank you both for the responses. I'll be sure to look more into localbitcoins. Seems worth it from all the people that seem to approve and as for the wallet, thanks I wasn't too sure about that one. I like to be as safe as possible so I appreciate it man. Peace! ^_^
