Please, someone who knows----this shit is now scary. Tails, if you look to left of the adress bar, you see a square, that square tells you wether the site your on is safe and encrypted.
SR is not encrypted, how is that happening in TAILS, or why is TAILS saying that?
I thought tor encrypts and Tails is Tor on steriods--sort of---but why get this message on SR, and not on Tor page.
Someone please answer, cause I am thinking I have information just floating around for all of LE to see:{
Please explain you smart MF's

Tor handles encryption/decryption of .onion sites in a different manner than SSL. Between Tor->firefox the data is not encrypted, and firefox realize that it is.
This has nothing to do with TAILS, its just how onion sites work on Tor.

Correct. Actually having a .onion site use SSL would make it less secure and vulnerable to detection or location within the tor network. Si if it's a .onion site it is better than SSL.
Check and make sure you have HTTPS Everywhere installed as a firefox add on. If you are using tor browser bundle that it's there already.

Honestly, I am going gray quick. I have never been so busy in my life, and I am running on fumes, exhaustion. Started hallucinating out at dinner the other night. Sleep deprivation sucks, and its not because of playing, but work and family:} Just happy everyone is healthy, but yea, I have seen better days-----please dont get me wrong though----I volunteered for all of this happily:}, so I am not complaining, I just have a much better understanding and respect for responsability these days:}
Thanks for asking Anon!! Side note--registered today for group:)
