I've been in my home for more than 5 years and I still receive mail for the deceased, previous owners. Would it be a wise move to use their names for SR orders to my home?
-
I did that and it backfired on me. I find using my real name but changed the spelling a bit works.

If you don't mind saying, in what way did it backfire on you?
-
why do you need to change the spelling a bit, I dont get it?

Go for it man. He'd probably of done the same :)

Sometimes all you have to do is apply some commonsense and boom best decision making in the world.

I use my real name. I just don't sign for anything. I don't order stuff from Ebay or Amazon during SR purchases just in case a legit delivery come that requires a signature.
-
yeah real name, never sign. shouldnt really have problems if you go through legit vendors with good stealth anyway.

If you're still getting mail for the guy you could, I guess.
I think it all depends on what you intend purchasing, where it will be shipped from and how severe the penalties are in your local jurisdiction.
For instance, if you were in Australia and you were to receive a small quantity of just about anything from a local vendor, then - so long as the address you receive the goodies at isn't a bust waiting to happen - then you could probably get away with using any name including your own.
If, however, you were receiving anything from overseas, the simple fact that you would be effectively "importing" increases the potential penalties and thus, the risk.
It is always preferable to be safe.

Been on the road for about a month now and it seems pretty simple...Real Name + Real Address = Happy Happy Happy ;D
