Title: Deposited Bitcoins before the site was shutdown......concerns
Post by: brobeejenner on October 02, 2013, 11:21 pm
When Bitcoins are deposited into the SR accounts are they tumbled right away? Once the funds are released? If not can the Bitcoins be tracked to the buyer? And how did someone obtain names and addresses of vendors when DPR was being extorted? Was the data cracked? Or just not encrypted? Shouldnt that be protected by PGP as long as everyone used it? Or is the encryption not that strong?

As we now know DPR seems to be a complete fucking idiot. I wouldn't be surprised is he accidentally emailed a random guy that data.

Given that SR has been potentially compromised for months, I wouldn't assume that your funds were tumbled. I have this exact same concern, actually. It's possible that the bitcoins may be traceable back to you if you send them to your SR account directly from an exchange.
