My pops taught me how to shoot when I was seven. I couldn't even look because the loud sound used to scare me.
Since I obviously turned out fine, can I sell a gun to my 15 y/o neighbor ? I'm moving away and need to sell my gear.
Don't worry it's no AK, just an old Glock. I would give it really cheap and even learn him about how to take care of it and stuff.
I know he's not 18 but c'mon, we all went shooting before we were of legal age, right ? Hell, I got my first one at 12 and look at me now, GPG and all that jazz.
The way I see it, if he doesn't get it from me, he'll still want it and I'm a better choice than those shady tweakers who will rob him or worse.
Not to mention, who am I to judge if somebody is ready for a gun. It's a free world, right ?

I wouldn't do this.

Dude you know its wrong or you wouldnt even post this. You will get a few bucks somewhere else and be able to sleep straight.

Registered? Serial number in tact? I had both rifles and pistols throughout my childhood, and have no problems if his parents know/approve and it goes through a licensed dealer for a small fee. Otherwise if you're trying to sell it illegally, it's not like selling a bag of weed to the kid, where if he was caught his parents would throw it away and he'd be grounded for the Bieber concert. If that kids caught with an unregistered glock there will be serious questions from the parents and LE, and if it came back on you that would be some bad news.

Exactly. Also what happens if the kid is a numb nuts and shoots someone? Fuck that.

I don't understand. I had a gun when I was 15 and I didn't shoot no one ?

Don't do it. Rather sell it to his parents, then they can control his access to it.

Then you were using it wrong

Fuckin' 'ell mate, use your loaf. Yeah but YOU are YOU and YOU control YOUR actions. Kudos for not shooting someone, well done, bonus point for you. However this kid ISN'T YOU and you can't guarantee he wont try and act the big man with it or pull it out and accidentally shoot someone if some nextman gives them shit OR even worse pull a fucking Columbine if they are a complete nutball. Don't get me wrong I'm not anti gun here at all. I just think selling a gun that can be traced back to you to a 15 year old is bloody stupid.
-
It wouldn't work out for you very well if he got busted too. You know damn well he will roll on you in a heartbeat. The LE and the jusge will rip you a new one...
-
I had guns when I was that age too. But the difference is my dad bought them for me, and taught me how to properly use and respect them. If the kid's parents are fine with him having it, then sell it to them, and they can let him have it. If a 15 year old wants a gun that he has to own under the radar, I can almost certainly guarantee he's not going to do anything responsible with it. At best, he's going to use it for bragging points, and potentially hurt someone (or one of his stupid friends will). At worst, he's planning the next Columbine. A few bucks are never worth it.

He either shot 0 people or between 2 to several billion humans, you prefer to shoot exactly one human? Actually I misinterpreted it, he didn't shoot no one, the double negative from the didn't / no cancels out the n't and the no so we are left with he did shoot one. So depending on how you interpret his sentence he could have shot zero to an arbitrary number of people, seems strange that this could imply improper use of a firearm since it holds true for everybody.

kmfkewm, nice catch. I thought a double negative would mean that I shoot some people not just one ? In any case, I was a bit desperate since no one got the music reference from my first post but at least this got noticed.
The point of the thread was to apply arguments from the young un's thread to weapons. http://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion/index.php?topic=25002.0
Guns of course aren't drugs or vice versa but it was funny to see the same arguments in a different context.
1. "I was a vacuum cleaner as little fucker and I'm fine"
The vast majority of us did drugs when we were shy of 18, but I can't add too much to this argument that hasn't already been said.
I am willing to bet that each of you that posted here knows damn well that in your teenage years you experimented with drugs, so don't patronize the kid.

2. Internet streets are less likely to get him killed
And also, why the fuck are we telling this kid to go elsewhere where he will probably get absolute crap on the streets. Don't get me wrong, I'm not advocate selling to kids, at all. The fact is though the guy/girl/kangaroo is here now and they are clearly going to find out how to buy drugs from SR, you may as well point them in the RIGHT direction so they don't either A. get ripped off or B. buy some bent shit that could land them in A+E.

3. Soft yes, hard no (I agree limetless pointless division)
You are only old enough for pot and shrooms, no hard shit, sorry.

Don't worry it's no AK, just an old Glock.
4. Everybody's got the right
I can fully understand if dealers won't sell to minors, i even don't know if i would. I think i would try to judge the person on its' own, but what the hell gives me the right to judge about him ? I'm not kind of a higher intelligence, just because i have lived some years more than him on this planet.

Thanks for playing, gents !

This actually made me laugh. Thanks.

Neither firearms nor (most) drugs hurt people, stupidity in how they are used do.
The big difference is a minor getting drugs from SR is safer in several aspects than how they will get them elsewhere, and they will get them, or worst get an unknown substance they assumed was a different drug. SR vendors are also very helpful in providing recommended usage and dosage for their products.
A pistol is still a pistol and isn't any safer regardless of where it came from.

Yeah I mean don't get me wrong, I am all for the free market thing. If you want a gun, buy a gun but selling a gun to a 15 year old is just stupid. At the most you should sell it to his parents so they can supervise him with it and show him how to use it responsibly. Guns kill people a lot more than drugs do, in fact that is what guns are designed for. I'm not saying your neighbor is stupid but why take the risk? And I know for a fact if I had a 15 year old kid and found out someone sold a gun to him I would take the gun and come looking for you with it. If you sold it to me so I could supervise my kid with it, whole different kettle of fish.

There is no 15 year old neighbor. Fictional context to evaluate the arguments of age that were outlined in the said thread.

The real question probably is..... Should I bang the 15 year old girl that keeps poking me in the nards when I walk by... her boobies are just starting so I figure its okay right?

No, it made people think about age restrictions when not related to the biased position of drugs. And maybe we made some fuck up who wants to sell guns to kids reconsider.
Nothing personal mate ;)
