Okay i was looking at my threads about movies and tv shows and then it hit me. How many cool cartoons where out in the 80s?
I'll make a start.
Mysterious Cities of gold.
I am hoping that this will show a good diversity of age here on the SR!!
-
the snorks!

Ah yes, Mysterious cities of gold, that brings back memories. I liked the theme tune to that.
How about;
Count Duckular,
Trap Door,
Uylesses,

Terrahawks (not cartoon, I know),
and mmmmm...er... Thundercats ;D

Transformers G1 series.

That also includes the lineups/series of toys made by Hasbro and TT. The Transformers franchise is mainly toys/models based on characters.
The latest animation, 'Transformers Animated' sucks ball. Those people really need to revive the G1/Beast/Machine series since the movies
are done.

Hasbro must be worth fucking millions. Lucky bastards who came up with the idea of toys that could change like that.
I loved it as a kid. Unfortunately my first present was Optimus Prime. My friend had megatron and when it turned into a gun i was soooooo jealous. A lot of my toys got stolen when i was younger, so i guess i wasnt alone!

Its in the billions, from Mr. Potato head to Transformers to My little pony, they`ve done well. Ever since they`ve moved on to making franchise for movies/shows they`ve raked in enough money to buy other companies and form subsidiaries. I think the minicon series enjoyable, I`m a fan of the Soundwave series.

A series based on Soundwave???!
Oh i have missed out on so much.
-
Although it wasn't a cartoon till after the series ended.
Fraggle Rock. ;D
-
Seriously?. I only remember the live action version. I'll have to look into this!
Oh and another cartoon for the day "Pirates of Dark Water!!"
-
Not 80's but I couldn't help but remember....
Biker Mice From Mars! ;D
-
The first cartoon movie I rented way back was Nausicca of the Valley of wind... My favorite Studio Ghibli to this day, but I love them all... they're part of my childhood.

This sounds like some kind of manga or anime..??
As for Biker Mice from Mars, a total classic.
Someone mentioned Dungeons and Dragons before, does anyone remember what happened at the end?
