Never give a vendor less than 5 feedback, or you could be added to the Vendor Blacklist, and never be able to order again:

"LESS THAN 5/5 FEEDBACK WILL RESULT IN YOU BEING PUT ON THE VENDOR BLACKLIST IN THE VENDOR FORUM. THIS IS VIEWABLE BY ALL SR VENDORS."

No decent vendor is going to refuse you for leaving less than 5/5 for another vendor if that's how you feel about the transaction. That said, don't be a dick and leave bad feedback without explaining your issue to the vendor, and make sure you have an absolutely legitimate reason.

I vend, I also have a buyer account. Out of 53 purchases I've left feedback less than 5/5 once (VMM). Sometimes things might not work out exactly the way I wanted with ship dates, or maybe I didn't like some weed as much as I thought I would. That's life, and no a reason to try to discredit a vendor.

That said, the comment on the page you listed is enough to keep me from buying anything from there. What a peckerhead threat. Those prices are stupid enough anyway.

Thats bullshit. I think he meant if you just leave shit feedback without contacting the vendor to try and make it right that you would be blacklisted.

Whats happening is competing vendors will order from a seller just to leave a 1/5 to drop there rating. If you are leaving a shit feedback for a legitimate reason, you should have nothing to worry about.

Most of us stay right on the edge of what we can/want to handle. The thought of us doing shit like that is just silly. There is plenty of business to go around.

I know vendors love their 5/5, so I play along with them. I really wish though that as a community, we would reserve 5/5 for, "HOLY FUCK THIS WAS EVERYTHING I HOPED IT WOULD BE AND MORE". As a buyer, I'm really more interested in the comments, and total number of transactions. There are a couple vendors that I use that have 92-99 feedback score that are nothing but great. I'll buy from you if you don't have a long string of comments saying more or less, "wtf, package never came" etc...

if i get what i order or the vendor makes it right i personally never leave less than 5/5 but like has been said im not worried about the number by the seller, i rely on the forums and if the seller has good product and that it arrives of course.

The feedback numbers are generally useless, vendors have been so concerned about only receiving 5/5 that anything less then that means a horrible transaction.  The only thing that matters is what is written in their reviews.  I'm sure most buyers will agree that the reviews are what you really have to read to get an idea of the service you will receive.  I know I've seen some buyer reviews where a 3/5 means that they received HCL acid instead of GHB(exaggeration but you get my drift), and some where it means that the color of the envelope didn't please them. Feedback scores are useless as long as the vendor has over an 85 or even an 80.

YES you are in every right to rate a vendor how you feel. HOWEVER if you do it unfairly or if there is an issue that the Vendor has tried his best to resolve/resolve/or you are unreasonable over then yeah, you will be most likely be put on a blacklist.

This is an issue of fairness, if you are fair with us then all is well, if you act like a cunt then obviously we aren't going to recommend you highly to others. Baring in mind the ratings/review system is completely in the buyers favour I don't see what the issue is.

OP if you were threatened with by any of the vendors I chat with on a regular basis then you most likely were being a douche bag. There are obviously shit vendors out there and scammers but most of the time when the someone is blacklisted then there is an explanation for it.

I agree along the notion of consent. If you choose to do an order with someone and the rules were posted ahead of time then you already consented to the rules and rightfully bound by them. I do agree with that, but I believe buyers should be able to rate vendors if they believe the overall experience wasn't 5/5 perfect, even if they rules were stated and consented to. For example, while Synaptic's policies are clearly listed, I still think a buyer has a right to give a 4 or 3, even if the order was carried out under the displayed rules.

I guess the burden of a lower than 5 review would be to make a decent-sized comment that fully puts the feedback into context. In my experience, truly good vendors don't really worry about getting good feedback, it comes by the nature of their work.

I agree with the 5/5 thing if you get your drugs.

If I see a vendor's rating going down, I start to wonder whats up.  It would be annoying if the rating was going down over petty bullshit.

Although, I really judge a vendor by their attitude and feed back on the boards.  I also get wary if I see lots of FE. I like to see customer support and interaction on the boards. 

BTW I've only rated my dealings at 5/5.  Of course, all of my dealings have been stellar and perfect (kwiktrip(99), Pfandliher(100), Angelina(100), febbraio2468(100)

Of course, they also have good rratings.

We feel that some of this has been taken out of context.

The rules he posted are the simplified ground rules at the top of our profile page, as it is extremely long (find a longer one, we dare you) we find that most buyers do not pay attention to it unless it's at the top and in caps. So we put this up:

We even explain why we are putting it up and why we are doing it at the tone we are (all caps means yelling, right?).

If you want to read our profile, you can find it in our signature and we welcome you to review all of our rules, not just take a few out of context and complain.

The reason behind this is due to many buyers attempting to export us, such as threatening feedback change if we don;t send extra product, or requesting a replacement several times in a row.
Basically, a few of the bad apples ruin it for the bunch, or it would be so if we were a corrupt or generally shitty seller.

However, we are happy with our customer base and have a steady increase in them, and with the current rules in place we have not seen hardly any attempted scams.

We wish buyers would rely more on feedback, and we would not care as much about lesser ratings if the equation to give seller rating was not as sensitive as it is. A single 1/5 transaction can bring a vendor down a complete point, and since the implementation of the item price levying in with the feedback it can bring it down up to 30 points (It's happened to us).

i got this feedback by someone i dont know who. but because of that little point my rating got lower. 

and further more . ppl that didnt receive there product and dont even try to get to a solution . and give feedback like selective scammer or product didnt receive! and give a 1/5 .

JUST CONTACT THE VENDOR FOR REFUND!!! do a little effort and you can get money back or a reshipping. some ppl dont even bother to get there money back. easy money for us

I've had messages from regular buyers worried, the one time I was given less than 5/5.  New/smaller time vendors are especially effected as their averages are more volatile, and many buyers sort by seller rank, meaning a 3/5 review could take you from near the top of the list to a further page.  I personally work pretty hard to make sure everyone is happy, even when it's USPS that screwed up and not me.

Why not just have buyers list of those who use the ratings system as a way of scamming free stuff?

But if you sold me 7 grams of hash advertised as 'top quality' - I'd get in touch to say you made a big mistake. If you corrected that and if you always correct any mistakes then nobody has reason to give less than 5/5.

But as buyer WE pay our hard earned cash ans sometimes good are advertised as 'top quality' when they just ordinary and stuff half the price in the pub.

I would never just leave a 1 out of 5 for no good reason.

Say I bought a gram of coke for £70 or more and it turned out to be the same stuf that is £15 a gram if you know the dealer or £20 otherwise.

The ratings system is all we have to kind of see how reliable and honest a vendor is.

As a vendor you have my stats! You can see I have always got my packages and paid on arrival not upon testing it! So everyone gets 5/5 right away.

What if some vendors refuse to answer you? What if you spent 10 BTC on a product you flushed down the sink (seriously)

I have given one out of five and would have given him zero if that was the option. He ignored my polite PMs.Several PMs spaced out all polite.  His product was awful. He is lucky he got 1 out of 5 as in real life a lot of punch ups happen over quality. In the USA people get shot for it!

But I will always take my grievance in private to the vendor before I go public.

I wish we could give some vendors minus ten out of five such as the vendors who scam the many honest buyers on here!

But sure some buyers must use the ratings system to cajole more whatever. Especially addicts who scam as a way of life and would scam their own mother let alone vendors here!

Anyhow - I feel like buying something now to see it its really 5/5!!!

I have NEVER scammed a vendor here. But I have been scammed by at least three vendors to the tune of around 30 something BTC. Tony the Canadian lady boy (currently deep throating Latinos in the hood for some coke) The speed dok scammed me. He has vanished also. And another vendor scammed me but it was only 1 BTC and I kinda took a gamble. Reduced two grams of speed to 100mg of something greyish.

Oh, also got scammed by a vendor who has now said he has been 'busted' and hopes to be back. He refunded me but now my stats have that crap when the gut was just not ready to be a vendor. I helped him out. Ended up with 3% bad stats over refunds when he could have just refunded private.

Everything I ordered here has come. 35 now I think. I give it 5/5 right away after I finalize. I do say I have not yet tested o if I have used before.

I got 2 1/5 with no comments.  This buyer is definitely blacklisted in my book.  If you gave any sort of reason in your feedback I would have been understanding and accepted it and probably deserved it.  However, 1/5 with no comment or message to me shows you are just trying to bring down my stats or are a complete jackass.  I can understand if you weren't happy with the product and brought it to my attention but this buyer blatantly said "fuck it".  If you talk to anyone who has purchased from/messaged me, you will know I am more than understanding and will 9x out of 10 side with you.  If I don't deserve 5/5 message me and we can work something out.  If you are unhappy for some reason and I can't fix it, then by all means give me a shitty review.

if the product is not as good the vendor say it is. you always can contact them FIRST.  and not give them a bad feedback for that. like i said some ppl dont even bother to get to an agreement .

and sometimes people will give feedback . for a product that they already finalize for . so you cant find out who it is. a lot of times if i see a bad rating i try to find out who it is.

Since rating a 1,2,3 or 4 is all equivalently bad then there is no reason to have a five point scale.  A simple '+/-' would suffice. 

Ill admit, I have felt compelled to leave 5 star feedback on 3 or 4 star product just because I dont want to be shut out of future transactions.  Feedback is a way to let others know how they product is and purchase went, but I dont want to put my purchasing at risk by being honest for a future buyer's sake.  So I'm not honest and I leave 5.

Now I have a vendor who is stringing me along and I feel compelled to click 'resolve', but then my purchasing stats will be fucked and I may have to make a new account.  ugh.  Probably in my best interest to just let this one purchase slide and rate the seller well just so I can avoid the black mark.  Of course that circumvents the purpose of ratings, but since I am judged on my ratings as well there is a conflict of interest here.  And my interest has to be to myself not to some future buyer.   :-\

Its up to us as a community to decide how serious we want to hold a vendor to that feedback. I personally feel that if a vendors rating is knocked down by a suspect buyer, a solid explanation on that vendors SR profile, or coming to the forums to explain the situation is more than enough to squash any doubts in my mind about said vendor. Of course not everyone is like me, and some dont check the forums so i understand the importance and concerns of the vendors too.

I agree with synaptic or any vendors choice to black list any buyer who leaves less than a 5/5 without at the very least giving that vendor an opportunity to correct any issues.

I hate to hear stories of good vendors who talk about leaving silkroad because some douchebag(s) wants to fuck up their rating. We need to come together as a community and support the good vendors who consistently deliver as promised and not automatically jump to conclusions based on a less than 100 or 99 feedback rating. Do your research, ask questions, and place your order with confidence.

Edit- On the other hand, if a vendor really is a POS or a potential scammer please do not hesitate to leave the appropriate feedback. Just as i said we need to come together and support legit vendors, the vendors should not hold a refund rate against a buyer who has done everything in their power to resolve issues with a vendor before requsting a refund. Lets work together buyers and sellers to weed out the scammers and make SR a better place.

I take task to your statement, the review system is flawed in the vendors favor, but I guess it all in how you look at it.
We buyer/vendor need to build trust, anybody threating me for a 5/5 doesn't get my business.
I have a perfect buyers record which I intend on keeping, thanks to the GOOD vendors.
The other edge of the sword is the total bullshit vendors have to put up with.
So I hear, and understand your side, and why you think it's biased for the buyer.

The only thing just like the post above this one, I have seen the cheating.
Mr Dank said, I accused he of hacking, it wasn't a hack it was a legit hole in the system.
I know what the SR Admins do, they know what I do, fair enough.
Some of the cheats are easy to spot, others are not.

It maybe a troll thread, but it has it points.
A lot of good suggestions for newbies.
