can anyone get uk or northern ireland driving licenses, ones that are auditable ? or does anyone know if they are even possible to get ? or any other way to get one without actually sitting the test?
was thinking myself that it is not possible but a few friends have told me it can be done.

There are plenty of fake UK DL's out there, it depends on what you want to use them for. If it's basic ID for a bank account, then they are fine. If it's for driving, forget them. You need the real thing OR someone else's DL details to borrow. Also, most care hire agencies have direct web links to the DVLA nowadays, so they can tell right away if a licence is valid. Quite a few of the on line bank applications are doing the same thing.
Sorry this isn't good news, but it's better to be prepared.
Also, the new type DL's from 2007 onwards are virtually impossible to replicate.

The tests easy.. Do it yourself, only £60... I've had mates who've got in a world of shit with fake licenses!

I think you're looking for the wrong thing.. I know two people who have paid someone else to take (and obviously pass) the UK practical driving test for them. Obviously this is gonna cost more than the fake licence but at least afterwards your licence is legit.

I suspect the person wanting to get this ID doesn't want it in their name.
Just to set the record straight here, if you want a UK DL in anything other than your REAL name then you need quite a lot of identification that will stand up to scrutiny. Just turning up isn't enough, they want either a passport (which they will check) or letters from HMRC, your NHI card and Birth Certificates, all of which they WILL check. Yes, you can 'borrow' someone else's details and go through the process, but then if they want to get a licence in the future then you're screwed and so potentially are they.
Unfortunately the UK government has finally manged to do joined-up databases.
Not good news, I know, but forewarned is forearmed.
