I don't know this for certain, but I would venture to say in a world as technologically advanced as ours, they wouldn't have to "look" at every single piece of mail. Packages get scanned in to the systems for a reason. Modern logistics wouldn't work nearly as well if every piece of mail was hand sorted.

so in other words they have a computer system that looks at every adress? i

I think it would be safe to assume this.

Yes, assume that customs is on it. They see so much traffic that they can't catch everything, but they're not fucking around and they're not stupid or careless.

do simple seziure letters from customs for minor things like food?prohibted toys in the mail get your adress on a black list?

I don't think you get "blacklisted" for a simple seizure letter. I've received a seizure letter in the past when ordering cannabis seeds. As soon as I received the letter I went on to the same seedbank website and re-ordered the seeds.
Even though it was the same mailing address, the same sender (same originating country, etc) the second package went through without issue. I surely wasn't "blacklisted" for anything. I continued to order cannabis seeds to that address for almost 2 years after the letter and never had any sort of issue.
