I am trying to figure out how escrow works. A seller has informed me of significant delays and I am assuming at some point my funds will be auto-transferred to him if I don't either finalize or complain? Is there some time limit for this? If so, it seems kind of weird there isn't any kind of order date, or better yet, time remaining information
At some point I had a "resolve" link enabled next to the order but that link became disabled a few days ago.. (does this have something to do with the "grace" period given for the site outages?) The order is now 11 days old.
I'm assuming I need to do something at some point to indicate that the product hasn't arrived so that the money doesn't get pushed to the seller's account?

If you hover your mouse over the words "Resolve" or "Finalize" it should tell you.
From memory, the order will automatically be "finalized" in 28 days - you might want to check though, I'm not 100% sure on the exact amount of days. As soon as you click this it should send the btc once the tumbling and the confirmations for each transfer (in the tumble) has happened.
Resolve will become enabled after 18-20 days I believe. So you have a window of opportunity to bring up any problems/scamming. This is where the btc gets "tied up" though if you ask me its a small price to pay for getting your money back! It will not automatically return you the btc as far as I know, I believe Silk Road him/herself has to do that.
If the seller does not pick up the order, then in 4 days a new option "cancel" will appear.
Hope this is of some help!

yes, big help.. I hovered over and saw that it will auto-finalize in 17 days and that the resolve link will be available in 10. It sounds like the escrow period is longer than I expected so I've got nothing to worry about. Thank you!

We should start stickying threads like these to make them easy to find.

would be easier to have one big FAQ thread stickied
