Really struggling to get bitcoins here. Tried BTC4cash as it was recommended by a vendor but the tor link doesn't seem to work. Also tried Britcoins but just don't get it, says to add to cart and then wait for them to get in touch. Really? how does that work? I don't have any coins at all so can't complete the order for 0.01BTC. Do they get notified when someone has added to their cart? Really having difficulty with this starting to think the hassle of getting coins isn't worth it.

localbitcoins.com is the only bitcoin marketplace you will ever need.
-
I have used BitBargain.co.uk with absolutely no problems and no commission etc.
Can use PingIt or bank transfer etc etc
-
not sure about using these websites for some reason (especially as you can't go on them on tor), would much rather have a trusted vendor on SR, but cheers for the info anyway guys.
-
Do you direct transfer from Bitbargian
-
never heard of bitbargain, would you recommend it?
-
Bitbargain is fine, very quick but the rates aren't great and by doing a bank transfer it leaves proof that you've bought coins, should anyone wish to investigate you.
These guys came through for me and have done plenty of transactions, they do a cash in the mail service and you don't need any coins to buy from them in the first place.- http://silkroadvb5piz3r.onion/silkroad/user/c536b90105
Localbitcoins will also allow you to find someone local to trade cash with.
-
Thanks Tiger, will probably have to give bitbargain a go. Localbitcoins did help me find somewhere I could buy from with cash, however nearby was 78km to the nearest one. :)
-
Bitbargain is just as easy to use as Local Bitcoin, except more expensive. Always. Go ahead, compare bank transfer prices now.
Of course you're free to spend more if you wish :o

Local Bitcoins do UK bank transfers. Never waited for more than 2 minutes for my coinage ;D

Another vote for localbitcoins.com here.
Of course there is Mt Gox if you are willing to use another deposit method and you have all the required paperwork... :)
Also bitcointalk.org forums is a good place to trade various things for BTC.
Fuck it, for 0.01 btc, I'll send it to you. PM me your SR username.

Localbitcoins do take 0.003 of a coin so you need to account for it,
bit bargian is ok to

local bitcoin

I know people are gonna say noooooooo dont do it! But I did 4 or 5 £100 transactions with vendor FromOnetoAnother from silk road buying btc, he sends bank acct info u deposit, no names either side and then you get coins direct into sr acct without even needing a btc wallet, I'm telling you mate, try 100 and see, the geezer is legit atleast for these amounts I'm sure

JJ your security is up to you, if it works it works congrats. However i think you'd be stupid to try that in the first place, its such an easy scam to pull. As for everyone using Bank transfers etc i hope you are all washing your coin.
-
Reggie I've done it a bunch of times already and check the vendors feedback, I dont know why people are so skeptical of bitcoin vendors, bennybones look if you can afford a .1% chance of losing £100 quid just try this vendor, I gain nothing from it I'm just trying to help you out and I've never had a problem, I wouldn't try £5k but £100 at a time gets u plenty of goodies mate, good luck

No offense Reggie594, but have you actually used FromOneToAnother or is this your personal view based on what looks likes a very inexperienced debut on Silk Road? Have you actually even gone to their vendor page? I have to come into the newbie section constantly to make sure the info being delivered is correct b/c I have figured out the best way for LE to crack Silk Road is from within with A) infighting, and B) misinformation, well intentioned or not is another thing isn't it, rather than direct force.
FromOneToAnother has 229 transactions over approximately 6 months of trading and is a 100% FB vendor. All of these transactions are 5/5 -- not one has left anything less than perfect FB in her entire trading history. She is also the fastest bitcoiner, and the money is of course rinsed and properly laundered before being deposited into your acc./ . Unlike other bitcoin vendors, reviews left are not shills -- a very common practice of Silk Road -- so this FB legit. This is practically unheard of on Silk Road. I only know of one vendor that has this kind of stats and that is RxKing. Go visit his page and you will see what I am talking about.
I don't mind if there is a logical point to bring across and it is back up by premises, but don;t confuse people based on no research. Back up your claims. But in this case you are dead wrong, and I am not one who says something without knowing what they are talking about.

Maybe I should clarify. It almost reads "all bitcoin vendors". Not ALL bitcoin vendors use shills -- let me make that clear -- just some do.

Reggie594 rest assured you'll be safe with my Bitcoin service FromOneToAnother, I provide an easy, safe, and secure service for those in need of Bitcoins in the UK, I've been around for awhile, have a 100% 5/5 feedback record, and pride myself on speed and efficiency. You're welcome. :) It isn't healthy to fear bitcoin vendors without looking into them, there are certainly some vendors who aren't honest and I would not use those particular vendors, but do your research. Feedback can be faked, but it is obvious when you compare vendors -- took me less than 3 seconds to pick it up when I checked today -- and failing that, ask people who have bought from them before, providing they're certified.
It isn't rocket science to figure out who you can trust and who you can't when it comes to bitcoin vendors.

Think I will probably go with a vendor on here and cash - but out of interest, how secure is washing? Anyone have a link to reliable info on methods? Thanks.

Bitbargain is the dogs bollocks. So easy to use and the longest I've waited for coins to appear in my wallet is 10 mins.

I use both, as I find sometimes Bargain can be cheaper than Locals depending on who's got coins for sale, you can tell the good honest ones straight away, just look at the feedback :) (obvioulsy lol)
I do miss Bitcoinfrigdge now its gone, thier business sure took off but than bastarding Governments wanted bitcoins ficked, he only charged think %5 initially on top of mtgox so was cheap and great but FAST & i man fast, my average deal was easily 15mins, but then it had went up 2 10% cause of the clampdown, the dirty bastards, gowd fick the government, come back the fridge :'(
but to agree with prvious posts; yes locals and BitBargain is way to go,
And send them to likes of https://easywallet.org and eventually to your SR account to help distort any trials? worth the small transaction fee alone i think :)
-
Have always used BitBargain with no issues, little more expensive but with bank transfer you get the coins very quickly.

Do you direct transfer from Bitbargian?
I use them sometimes but send my coins on a chase first...
Read their policy on drugs and working with enforcement

Yeah man I move them around, just for a little added security.

Hi.
Do I use this easywallet.org on the clearnet or tor? Or are there any wallets on tor anyone could suggest moving coins to after purchase, before sending to SR?
Thanks.

Shills are secondary acc./s (accounts) that a vendor will use to artificially boost feedback. It is not uncommon for some vendors to use them. They may decide to use shills when they are starting out, or when they are losing a lot of custom suddenly, in an effort to restore faith to prospective buyers looking through this feedback on their vendor's page. Additionally, they may use a shill on the forum to put in a glowing recommendation of themself on their review thread. They typically contain a handful of posts, and are obvious.
