Last time I bought bitcoins I used a tormail email address I had set up a few weeks ago. I just realized that now someone could potentially link my IP address/ identity with my tormail address. I'm not doing anything illicit with this email address (just buying bitcoins), but in general is this safe?
What do most of you use for an email address when using bitinstant? A one-time use address set up over tor? A fake? As a small-time personal consumer who is using a personal computer and not a public one, I don't really see that it matters. Should I just be using a real email address for convenience?
Thanks in advance.

How can someone link your identity from your tor email? Did you use tor browser when you set it up?

well the worst bit instant could do is make you fax them your ID or something, if you arent doing anything illegal with your tormail then you can't get arrested for it, just wash your BTC 1st. Normally I just set up a temp account with gmail, yahoo, hotmail etc etc through tor and use that for an email.
side note: dont do anything illegal with that tormail, create a new one for drug deals

He probably accessed bitinstant via clearweb and bitinstant has his IP and now tormail
