Title: Need help making my MacBook Secure enough to buy items
Post by: IndianWarHead on July 17, 2012, 08:55 pm
I have been reading around the boards for a few day now, and have studied the All In One Guide to setting up my accounts, but I still have a few questions.

What is the best way to set up a LiveUSB on a Mac?
When acquiring Bitcoins, what Would the safest process be to transfer money over? Would a Visa Gift Card from walmart work?

I would greatly appreciate the help. Thanks SRoaders.

I'm not too sure about Mac  :-\ sorry about that.

With bitcoins the safest way in my opinion is cash over the counter. It depends on what country you're from if you can do this but in most countries you can as far as I'm aware. Example if you're from Australia you can use; www.spendbitcoins.com/buy and enter in an address (long string of numbers) that you get from your bitcoin client, email (preferably tormail or disposable email) and the amount you want then they will send you an email with an account number and reference number and you just go into a bank and make a deposit, usually you don't need ID to do this. This way the only link they have of you to your bitcoins is the bank security footage. Good luck mate :)
