Title: Shipping to South Africa, needing advice from a local/expat.
Post by: MrBenDover on July 01, 2013, 02:22 pm
In south africa we have a small problem with parcels (anything bigger than a magazine really).. They get sent to the post office and you have to go collect it, and unfortunately present your ID book to validate you are the person it is addressed to. Now obviously I don't want to have my own name on a parcel with illegal contents especially since they scan the ID book at the post office and make you sign for it, and putting another name for postage would require fake identity documents, something I'd really like to avoid if possible. I Is there a South African or previous resident or anyone really who could give me some advice or pointers? Thanks in advance  :)
