Ok, new to this so bear with me guys.
If I arrange to meet someone via localbitcoins.com and pay in cash are they able to transfer the funds directly into my SR account or does there have to be some kind of middleman involved?
-
This is the only way I get BTC. I either get them from localbitcoins or CL. I only meet in person and pay cash for them. If the person you purchase your BTC from insists on following localbitcoins procedure, they will send the BTC do your localbitcoin wallet, if they already have the BTC in their wallet, it will be an instant transfer to your wallet and then you send to SR wallet. If they are willing, then you can give them your SR wallet and they can send straight to that. Just wait for the blockchain.info/address/"youraddress" show 1 confirmation. More than likely by the time you get home, the BTC will be in your SR wallet.

So, assuming the vendor is willing to go outside of localbitcoins, all I have to do is give them my SR address and once they've sent it through it'll appear on the transaction list for my address on blockchain?
Also, am I right in thinking that using localbitcoins like this is good for anonymity?
Thanks for all the help.

Yes. Once you give them your SR address and they send it. It'll show in transaction history, but ongoing. You can watch and wait for a confirmation. Once you get the first confirmation, you're good. Sometimes it only takes 1, sometimes it takes up to 4.
I find it to be anonymous... I've met with multiple people in different cities/states and they've all gone well. They range from 5-10%.. I shoot for 5-8%, which is better than you get anywhere else. Paying 835 for 800 is a good fee in my opinion.

That was really helpful. Thanks a lot!
