I've been living in this house for three years now and I am still getting the previous owner's bills in the mail every week.
Since I am getting his mail anyway, would it be a good idea to use the previous owner's name for plausible deniability?

I made my first purchase a couple weeks ago. Finalized early. I honestly don't remember using the previous tenant's name, but I do remember after the expected 7 days have passed thinking that if I tried again, I would use the other guy's name just in case my package got found out and they were screening my name more heavily.
Well, I never tried again, but it's been over 2 weeks and recently I was contacted by the local sheriff's office. I called back and he asked if my name was the previous resident's name. I said no, I think that's a previous tenant. Everything was cool, I felt relieved and off the hook.
But today I realized something terrifying: maybe I really had used his name? I honestly think I used my name but maybe I was a fool and used his. Now this poor guy is going to be found and harassed and I'm sure it's going to come back to me and I don't really know what to do except call a lawyer if they do come back (I'd probably ultimately plead guilty; I don't do anything else I just wanted to experiment). I just started on this forum today because I don't know what else to do as I sit here in my apartment, I am not hungry and I am sure I will not be sleeping well for a while.
Either use a totally fake name or use your own. Don't bring somebody else into this. That's all I have to say.

Anyone can send anyone anything in the post. That's a pretty plausible explanation right there! ;)
Also, deniability sounds like you intend to deny something. If the worst happens and LE do turn up one day, say NOTHING. The first person you speak to is your lawyer.

If you've received mail addressed to him recently, I'd say go for it. It does increase the chance of a non-delivery if the postman can connect the dots eventually that this person does not live there anymore.

try a few times with small buys and see how it goes if all goes well move onto larger buys.

Contrary to what one of the other posters said I say go ahead and use a previous owner/tenant's name. It is probably the best situation you can come across. Just make sure that they don't have an official mail redirection order in effect which is easily checked by sending some mail to the previous name at the address in question.
Of course the obvious benefit is of being able to say exactly what you said - "Oh, that must have been for the previous owner/tenant, officer!" but it also lets you know when they have started detecting illicit material and so is almost like a warning to not use that address again.
Unless the previous owner/tenant was a known drug dealer or user then it is very unlikely that it will go much further. All that needs to be said is that 'someone else' had been using the address during the vacant period between the old and new owner/tenant as a drop house. But say this through a lawyer rather than directly to the police if it comes to that.
That's my take on it. Everyone has to make their own decisions and be able to live with those decisions but I have no trouble using a previous occupants' name. This is not because I have anything against them personally or wish them trouble per se but rather see it as a way to create doubt as to the ownership of the actual letter/package in question and this is ultimately want you want. You have to have a story of some sort to create your 'plausible deniability'.

Even if it has your real name on it, you still 'have no idea' who sent it etc... To me, if drugs are delivered to a house under the name of a tenant from 3 years ago, that looks more suss, an obvious decoy. If using the previous tenants name makes you feel more comfortable and helps you sleep better at night do it, but in reality it makes no difference. I considered using this tactic when I first joined, and came to the same conclusion i just outlined.

imo it is great if you are in the position to use a previous tenant/ PO box renter's name.
However if you get intercepted with enough product and they come knocking on your door it will not matter whose name is on the package. You can deny all you like but "somebody is trying to set me up" or "it is the previous tenants gear" will not help you if they find the package opened or find other substances in your house.
The advantage is picking it up from your drop and storing the package unopened with "return to sender" written on the package WITH a whole heap of legit mail for the previous tenant IN a clean house. Still though ask yourself as the cops will "why would the previous tenant send drugs to a drop they will no longer pickup from?"
The whole name thing will not save your arse when push comes to shove if you are on LE's radar.
But you will blend in using a previous tenants name.
Unless...
you are in the US and the postal service KNOWS exactly ::) who lives where. They KNOW when somebody moves out of a house because the postie has been doing the same run for the last 50years and he notices the car is not there anymore and the previous tenant had a cat that would sunbake itself every morning on the driveway....
If you are someplace like Aus and you have posties like mine, I still get mail from the previous owner from 6 years ago. Why? because they are not snoop doggy dog US posties and have better things to do...like deliver the mail to the god damn address written on the envelope... unless it is OS "business" mail in which they steal it because they know NOBODY gets OS business mail...in an envelope.

So basically, it's probably fine to use your old tenant's name but it might raise a bit of suspicion or it might have a slight higher chance not make it through.

ur whits will come to u after doing a test run of a small purchase. you probably wont do it many times as this is a weird scenario and no one mailing drugs has that shit automated, LOL.

It seems as though from reading a fair few posts on this forum that the USPS knows exactly whats going down in da hood. They know who lives where... apparently.
If that was the case you would not still be receiving the previous owners mail AFTER 3 years.
Bottom line... use the previous owners name. I do.
I do it to remain anonymous from the vendors. I am under no illusion that using a fake/borrowed name will save my arse from LE.
