Title: Review of OSO's Edible THC liquid
Post by: uniwiz on November 05, 2011, 01:06 pm
Since I have been using, and abusing OSO's products for a few weeks I figured it's time for a review.

The original formula was "too light" for me OSO contacted me with a stronger product.
Understand this product would normally used by cancer, and pain relief patients.
It is without a doubt fantastic medicine.
Digitalarch you have some good competition.

Right now I use it from the dropper or in a juice.
II has a sweet slightly cannabis taste.

I plan on cooking with it, soon.

The higher THC product, makes me very happy.
I would highly recommend mixed in mushroom tea.

As a vendor;
Good Communication.
Really cares about product.
Fast Service.

I had a stoner moment when I first received the .181g (Higher concentration limited batch) and thought 2-6 drops was the dose, which obviously didn't do much but taste really good.

Packaging was fast.  There was a little leakage, I think from the lid not being on real tight.  Although, it did not pose any problem with shipping, and was no way for it to leak through.

The thing I love about this amazing product is being able to go to a party and put a few (4 droppers is my fav) in my beverage and nun the wiser.   It was the best at a recent party where a guy was chastised for smoking pot in the garage, because everyone could smell it and kids were around, etc; while I was high as a kite with no problem.

I have tried it with a number of drinks.  My favorite is redbull vodka (weird), and any hoppy pale ale (makes sense), but I have also heard it goes good with straight wiskey on the rocks.   I love the great high feeling, but my congnitive function stays intact (Normally smoking it does not).

The hardest thing is I went through it so fast because everybody loves it and wants it.   A little pricey per my calculations 1oz = 28 droppers divide by my preferred dose of 4 droppers, gets me $10 per 4 hour "treatment"  plus, all the shit I give away!

I hope he/she has a lot of the that Thunderfuck!

I found this ->http://forums.cannabisculture.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=165324&page=1

Quote from Tobak;

"Yes its really true: Lecithin is good for THC absorption in the intestine.
Why?
First i recommand to visit the site
http://www.members.tripod.com/PowerHitters/cooking1.htm
to read some very good explanations about THC digestion.

But i have to make some further notes to that.
THC is soluble in fat. Only water soluble substances can pass the intestine membrane. Fat is itself not water soluble because it is like THC uncharged.
So how does fat pass the intestine membrane? Fat absorption requires substances with a dipole character to build up vehicles which can connect at the outer surface with water (charged side) and at the inner surface with the fat and the THC (uncharged side). This vehicles are called micells and consists of bilesalts (dipole), phospholipids (dipole), fatty acids (uncharged) and THC
(uncharged).

Lecithin contains much of these phospholipids!!
So Lecithin works in two ways: it emulsifies fat but more important i think is the ability of Lecithin to build up micells.

After all i recommand to "drink" this micells.

Recipe of THC turbo digestion:
1/2 litre fat milk (fatty acids)
1 teaspoon Lecithin (Phospholipids)
1 teaspoon Tumeric (Tumeric supports bile production in the liver)

Drink that with your already cooked cannabis and this will enhance the THC digestion rate!"

Guess what? Seems to work.

Got some more OSO's THC liquid.
His service is FAST!

OK so I have an egg sausage and cheese sandwich in the morning.
Now I put 3 to 5 droppers, and may start adding the turmeric.

But it works. This batch seemed slightly weaker, but it could be my tolerance.
Been smoking, instead of vaping Rook's Kush, I love kush so much.
I figure 3-4 good kicks from each bottle.

I starting to play with tinctures myself.
Everclear works nice, I used my vaped weed.
Works great under tongue if you don't mind the burn.

Need to find some local growers with some trim;)

Hello,

These forums have been a real bugger to post on. Anyways thanks for the information. We are always trying to improve our product and have been working on new methods of preparing the tincture to hold more THC. We get our product LAB tested. That means we know and you know I am not pulling anyones chains. I would like to see other vendors with their claims and how they got their calculations. Also a certain amount has always been lost when the glycerin soaks up the cannabis. We get our cannabis from us. We have our own warehouses and use a clean kitchen(google it) to prepare our product, it is not only going to SR but also locally. We have to be careful on SR though. Thanks for the info and keep looking forward to higher g/ml and lower prices once we find a good medium at home and on SR.

caffiene_me if you want to msg me on SR directly we can get you another bottle for the leakage problem.

Best

OSO

I just recently received a bottle from OSO...three to five droppers full, not three to five drops?

The stuff is tasty! Honey spiced...

Can I cook with it?  If so, up to what temperature?  What if I melt chocolate, and put it in a mold, would I put three to five droppers in each bite?

Ok, so I finally tried it, only I started with just one dropper full.  Good enough for me!  Didn't feel my pain at all...no joint pain, no lupus pain, no fibromyalgia pain.  I wasn't stoned either, which is what I'm looking for with this.  Just a softness in my mind, no anxiety about anything, and happy feeling!  PERFECT medicine, can also double as a party favor I guess but clearly good medicine!

I cant find the post anymore, but there was a man on here who said he tried to get some fibro meds for his wife on SR and got ripped off (they didnt have insurance).  If I could find him I would recommend OSO's liquid, much better than pills and no lung cancer!

I think OSO tinctures are great.
Haven't figured out how to do glycerin tinctures yet.
The alcohol tinctures are fairly easy, and work nicely if you de-carb correctly.

Digitalarch was doing an alcohol tincture but seem to give up.

If you buy really pure bubble hash, such as tweetb has.
It's really easy to make a very potent tincture.

OSO all in all seems to have a good product at good price.

I haven't saved much making my own, but I don't have a lost cost source of THC.

I got the 2 for 1 deal of OG Kush and Nice Guy.  This is a great deal and I'm looking forward to sharing some with friends over the holidays.

Packaging - Very good, sturdy, bottles individually sealed

Taste - Delicious bud flavor and very sweet. It tastes nice, but the sweetness can be a bit much if you're taking 3-4 droppers directly

Effects - I am an all-day, every day (almost) cannabis user.  I have back spasms, anxiety, occasional depression, and a bad ankle.  I found the OGK to be a bit weak.  I took 2.5 droppers full yesterday on an empty stomach after waking and 3 today.  Although I feel relaxed and pretty stress-free, I don't feel much beyond this.  My head is clear, no giddiness, memory issues, etc.  This is a little disappointing because OG Kush is my favorite smoking strain now due to it's soaring euphoria and ability to put me instantly into a GREAT mood.  I'm already 1/2 way through the entire bottle of OG Kush all by myself in 24 hours!

Mr Nice - This seems a bit stronger and when it comes on I get the heavy eye feeling and a bit more "stoniness".  Still, it's not that strong either.

This is a good product.  I like it.  However, for the price I was expecting a stronger product.  Edibles are my favorite way to consume for both their strength and long-lasting action but these concentrates don't deliver exactly what I'm looking for in that department.  However, if you don't have much in the way of tolerance, need to be discreet, or need to avoid smoking then this might be right up your alley.  It's also useful for lowering your tolerance to get a BANG out of your smoking cannabis. :-)

Hrm, 5 droppers of Mr Nice liquid about 2 hours ago and I don't feel much.  I guess I'm relaxed, but I'm just laying in bed messing around online so that's nothing special.  I have a strong urge to smoke some weed.  Unfortunately, I'm home for the holidays and I'm not sure this is possible.  Should I take MORE liquid THC?  Oso claims 2-4 droppers is stronger or for pain relief.  5 droppers should be plenty, right?

Freeman, I think there are some people who just dont get anything out of the tinctures.  My wife is one of them.  I am a daily toker and three to four eyedroppers full do me good for around five hours.  Its not the kind of high I get from smoking, its more subtle, more body and only a softness in the head.

I ordered four more bottles, and Oso is sending me eight for the same price!
Title: Re: Review of OSO's Edible THC liquid

OK, so after using fully using the products and letting some friends try them, I have to say that I was really disappointed.  While these tasted great, the effects were so mild that I couldn't feel anything more than baseline off of 7-8 droppers full at a time.  Same for my two close friends.  We are all experienced smokers and trippers.  We've also all made and experienced edibles in the past.

On multiple occasions I tried as much as 8 droppers full and one night my friends each tried 7-8 droppers.  We smoked as well and even with smoking we felt no different than a typical session.

While I fully appreciate the service, packaging, and communication from Oso I can't recommend this product currently.  Perhaps if you were a total newbie to cannabis or you only smoke once every few weeks?

I'm not sure why tinctures would be any different from other edibles.  Edibles are my favorite way to consume cannabis which is why I was so excited for a tincture-like product because it means I don't have to eat/prepare something more substantial.

I got the OGK and Mr. Nice Xmas special.  Which type did you have?  Like I said in my other reply, I took up to 8 droppers at a time more than once, and my two friends each took 7-8 droppers as well as smoking.  If our effects were the same as yours, we should have been utterly stoned.

I'm very jealous because 5 hours of high off of 3-4 droppers is exactly what I was estimating I would get.  This would severely reduce my intake of smokeable cannabis which is about a quarter per week.

This would be a standard complaint of sugar vs fat based edibles.

Sugar/Alcohol based
This is medication, good for sleep, rest, pain, etc.
You need a lot for intoxication. Which seems to be body based, and much shorter than fat based edibles.
You should be hold one dropper at a time under the tongue trying to get the sugar/thc directly to the blood stream.
I also add to hot tea, and catch a pretty quick buzz. (home made tincture alcohol based)
If you take tinctures to intoxication your tolerance to smoking will rise.
Anyhow just throwing 5 dropper in juice won't do much for a heavy smoker.
Needs to go through the stomach, and liver. (eggs help)
I have 5 droppers in my morning egg sandwich ;)
5 droppers under the tongue would do much better.

I was hoping the same thing to smoke less, but you will need to learn to make your own.
It will never be as tasty as OSO's

I have found pretty good absorption with Poptarts lol.

I don't get "stoned" off of this like I would from smoking weed.  I don't see the tincture as a recreational drug (personally, others might of course).  I am usually experiencing some level of sharp and constant pain if I want to be mobile (end stage arthritis in hip), and when this pain is relieved its way better than being high.  Bring able to walk, clean my house, go out shopping or maybe even a short dance at the club etc without being stoned out on pills is worth every bit-coin as far as I'm concerned as I hate pills and what the purchase of pharmaceutical items finances...so this stuff is more like medicine than fun drugs.  If I take it just before bed I sleep through the night and wake up refreshed which to me is worth its weight in gold.  Literally.

I am a daily smoker, and have been since I was a teenager (many, many, many years ago).  But like I said, its not a high I'm chasing with this stuff, its pain relief.  And for pain relief it works better than the 6 or 8 Advil I would have to take and is much less poisonous to my body.

I would recommend this for people with Lupus, Fibromyalgia and arthritis.  Also for cancer patients who don't want carcinogens or aren't really tokers at all and just want an all natural way to be able to eat or whatever.

yes lecichtin (sp?) really is important.  i have done edible tests with and without it and the difference is quite noticable.  i would say with lecitchin is around 50% more potent, maybe your body absorbs it more, or faster, but you will def tell the difference.

you can get lecithin at lots of health food stores
Lecithin certainly will help. It's in egg yolks ;)
I still add some to my cookies. It is much cheaper on Amazon for me than at those stores.
That's why I add tincture to my morning eggs.
Your helping the intestine absorb more THC for the liver.
The liver then converts the THC, in the case of butter Delta 9 to Delta 11 (much stronger).
I am willing to bet that doesn't happen will sugar based products, thats why the effects are different.
Getting it directly to the blood stream would be better.
Another strange effect is alcohol tincture and tea. Not sure if glycerin base will work as well.
Make the hot tea put the tincture in, and drink ASAP, It will smell like weed so be careful, that no one is too close.
POW!!! I think it goes in blood directly, through your skin in your mouth. 5 minutes to hit, instead of 30 minutes.

Dobbs,
+1
Thats really what it's best for.
Medicine.
I'm really pissed that our government doesn't admit cannabis can be good medicine.

Eat cookies, or brownies for a much better longer buzz.

Sorry if I go on and on, but I have learned a lot in a few short months between cannabis the intoxicate, and cannabis the medicine.
They both make my feel good, and functional, in a society filled with work day crap.

Either way OSO product is still good.
Anybody want to sell stronger product, go ahead.
But if you really want to kick butt make your own with bubble hash.
Remember 320 f to decarb first before mixing with your favorite solvent.

OSO has his tinctures in, and I highly recommend them for pain, and sleep.

I would be buying some myself, but I'm enjoying playing, and making my own.

However I would NOT recommend others try this. With his 2 for one sale you can't do it cheaper, let alone as well. Taste like honey.

OSO continues to be a fine patent medicine vendor.

You can get different options.
Best way is to hold in mouth under  tongue.         ++++++++(with a Valium)
2nd best hot tea, pour in fresh. drink quickly

If your going to eat, read my advice above.
We have discuss this much in this thread, just read above.

Do NOT expect a smokers high, but I like it ;)

I've been a user for many years.
I love my weed in the morning.
If you do high CBD weed you get droopy eyes.
My friend told me that all stopped after I started buying weed here.
But I don't need to do as much in the morning.

Long answer to no, I doubt anybody would notice.
Again you won't train wreck just without pain, and happy.
If you consume enough to get high, your smoking tolerance will rise quickly.

I hate to break to most people, but better to think of it as medicine.
Then you will be pleased with results.

I've had this for a few days now and I'm very pleased with the product.  Very relaxing and tasty stuff.  I wish it was a little more potent but I don't think that's a huge deal.  If you're considering, definitely give it a go, I doubt you'll be disappointed.

Oso is also a really awesome vendor.  I had a little PM correspondence beforehand and you can tell he cares about satisfying his customers, so kudos to him and this great product he provides.

Are you holding under your tongue?
I find this the best for glycerin.

I finally figured out how to make something close to his.
The hash doesn't mix as easy as alcohol.
He should sell an alcohol based product too,but glycerin works better than alcohol under tongue.

Please ask around. I love my cannabis.
I use tinctures daily now.

For hot tea add alcohol tincture, the tea will turn cloudy, be careful cause it could smell.
Green dragon smells, ChristyNugs Hash barely smells.
Drink down hot. The heat must force the alcohol direct into the blood stream in your month.
Within 5 minutes I'm buzzing nicely.

Glycerin for some reason transfers thc better through sublingual use.
So put it under your tongue and wait, on each dropper.
Til you have to swallow.
Putting on food such as eggs works but the other two methods work many times better.
Glycerin doesn't work with the hot tea trick.

So in short it's not a candy edible. With practice you can douse nicely.
Do NOT eat it.

Good review uniwiz, thanks. I'm interested in exploring alternative ways of taking THC as smoking isn't really me, so was interested to hear a review on THC liquid.. what kind of liquid is it? Oil? I heard THC extraction is a highly efficient and effective of using weaker strains of cannabis or leafs/stems.. I have a bottle of Hemp Oil funnily enough (the ordinary cooking variety) which I could use I guess to do an extraction with.. I'm also interested in trying chocolate and maybe a super-potent alcoholic tincture..

My exact thoughts. Good for pain, but I bought it for the wrong reasons. I thought I could just have some drops and be high like smoking. Great A+ customer service though, and again good product for pain ect.

I missed your post.
Good thing usp6615gawd made that nice post.
Spot on....

I too need to limit my smoking.
I have made tinctures much stronger then OSO's.
I even have a glycerin one that has so much Hash oil it seperates.
I think OSO's work, and price are find.
How he gets that liquid he makes so nice and clear is nice work ;)
Respect.......
Tinctures are not something you should use to get high on daily.
When I say this I don't mean OSO's,
I mean I got what I wished for and discovered my tolerance to be too high.
Now I use it sparingly. Except for the magic tea trick ;)

I can teach you how to make a super potent alcohol tincture.
Buy some trim hash from whoever has some. I use Christy's
Cook it at 310 F for 10-15 minutes in a sealed oven bag. Don't go over 320 as the THC vapes out.
Now heat everclear to almost 170
Mix the decarbed hash at whatever ratio you see fit. I use 2 gram per oz.
Shake for a day, or a few hours.
Filter through coffee filter.

Bang.......

Now make some hot tea.
Add your tincture you just made. Maybe 3 droppers.
1...2...3.....  Blast off 8)

The best way to take your cannabis IMHO is edibles.
Cannabutter, or oils are easy to make.

Anyhow this is OSO's thread, sorry.
I was getting reports his weed is great too.

Go buy some cannabis and hash if you want to get high. This stuff is MEDICINE. I'm not sure why people continue to not understand this.

I started out making alcohol tnctures. People didnt like taking a shot of 160 proof alcohol to get high. It was harsh on people. Also if someone is recovering alcoholic, it makes a hard sale.

You can goto cannabischef (dot) com i believe or just google cannabis cooking and all kinds of recipes.

We are still refining our method to pack more of a punch, but we have hit a ceiling with .20 g/ml  we have just harvested and have ore product to work now so stay tuned for our next batch should be delicious.

And oh btw.... my Liquid THC tastes delicious, something that I couldn't achieve with alcohol extraction.

ORIGINAL ROAD FEEDBACK FOR OSO'S TINCTURES
LEFT TODAY:: 03/23/12

########################################################

3-4mL (drops) do this shit justice brother. Max kudos! Surpassed my expectations by at least 500%!

I'm DEFINITELY about to cut down on the fine, more expensive, and smelly herb and start getting your tinctures for life!

Glycerine is easy as HELL on the stomach; mixes well with tea, coffee and the morning OJ (and bacon) VERY, VERY well!

Who says you need 151 or E. Clear to make a potent vial. Pshh! I'm a former alcoholic, and this is PERFECT for me!

Not too stoned to function normally; very pleasantly relaxed, very "motherly" onset and comedown. VERY good for meditation, closing the eyes, opening the blinds, turning on some Jerry G. and stretching. (Migraines be gone too BTW!)

Had a great day today with a half of your vial bud.

BTW, new SR buyers! If you are hesitant and considering picking one of these up from this GREAT man OSO- know that he ALWAYS sends double the order and he ALWAYS COMES THROUGH! Hell of a guy!

Really made my day to see two ounces in that package this morning!

VERY well packaged, VERY professional droppers, VERY professional taste and VERY-VERY prompt professional service and communication.

Arrived 48 hours after pressing the order button guys. When has this EVER happened to any of you on the road!? (And odd enough, it came an hour earlier than the mail usually arrives!)

Coincidence!?

I'm in the NE US guys. All I'll say: stuff comes from WAY, WAY West. Nuff said =)

Couldn't be happier buddy!

Don't ever leave the road!
(Or else give me your secret recipe so I can do this myself!)

Love ya man and thanks again.
Be back within the week!

Take care!

OSO,

I hope you understand I wasn't dissing your medicine.
You know I recommend, and respect you.
People are looking to alternative ways of getting high, and not smoking.
It took me weeks to learn tinctures really wasn't recreational, except for the tea.
It ruined my smoking enjoyment, actually.
I recommend cooking, and edibles.
May still take a dropper before bed, or if I have pain.
Respect

Your medicine is perfect for what it's made for, and easy to take.

Thank you, I hope I didnt come across to brash there, but I've really worked hard on the medicinal part of cannabis and people arent that aware yet about the medicinal values cannabis can give you if it is administered right.

I respect you and hope I didn't offend you or anyone with my thoughts before.

Peace

OSO asked me to review his product, so i am going to do that as a courtesy to him. first of all, this product is genuine. you can tell that the glycerin contains true cannabis. however, what i came to realize is that this is not a product designed to "abuse" (as done with so many other recreational drugs). this is medicine. it is not so much a drug in which you can really achieve a HIGH. i'm sure this has been said time and time again before in the forums. but who could really pass up liquid THC? haha.. i'm glad i purchased this. it'll do me good throughout instances when vaping is otherwise not a possibility. thanks, OSO, and i'm sure i'll be purchasing some other quality products from you sooner or later!

Ah, sorry to be bringing a negative review, but I purchased some of this for my father's chronic back pain. He tried two squirts and four and one-half squirts at a time. I asked him how it was, and he said he'd rate it about a 1 out of 10. He was very unimpressed and actually threw away the product. :(

Alright, I'll try it on myself today and see how it goes and then get back to him.
