I really like this forum. It's filled with knowledgeable people that now loads of things that "normal" people have no idea about. It's also extremely active. I fear that this rule will severely lessen that activity. That would be a shame.
The biggest problem it will create is probably less reviews. We really need the reviews even if the poster only has 20 posts.
What do you think? There must be another solution, right?
-
need to get to 50
-
I agree, less reviews, less offers from new vendors and aggravation

while having a minimum post count is good to weed out spammers, a number as high as 50 is definitely a deterrent. I'm only up to 12 and already getting bored as shit.
-
smash that dirty stinkin' pussy fucking hard
-
Seriously, 50 posts? So all of us have to spam this forum until we get 50 posts. How productive is that, really?
-
Seriously! Who in bloody hell came up with this idea? Why don't you go by month's, how long you have been a member on SR not by post. I have been a member on SR for several months and now grounded to this geeee's. ::)
-
And spamming is stupid, what a waste of space. :o

I agree, most spamming accounts are newly made so your way would make more sense.

Newbies are crazy man.

GIEV NEGATIVE KARMA PLS
How do you give karma to someone?
-
I think 50 posts enable you to do so
-
I've heard that you receive 50 BTC after you've posted 50 posts, true?
-
It's after 100 posts, afair.
-
Inb4 vendor newbie review threads :P
-
Who thought 50 posts was a good idea in the first place? What a fucking clown.
-
Best will be to open a new thread - spam yourself to a serious member ;)
-
saves spamming

I can smell it.

I don't really get this rule actually. I've just received a wonderful product that i really wanted to share the experience with other fellas on the road. But now I'm sadly not able to reward the vendor by nice words and help him out of building his reputation up. At least the rumor mill section should be available for newbies IMO.
-
50 posts is pretty steep. Ordered from a relatively new vendor and my updates could definitely be of use to others on the fence in the sellers review thread, unfortunately I am unable to assist them. While I understand the rationale behind a minimum post count, the number could be reduced to a more reasonable number that doesn't just encourage spamming.

cooool :D

I think the 50 posts is so the forum mods can catch the auto spammers getting their count up be4 they get to the other boards.
-
And the autos spammers will find a way to get 50 fast.
-
Can't just base newbie limit on time since joining or spammers will make a lot of accounts up for the future.
-
seems like a good idea to keep the spamming away from the main forums. of course, folks would try to figure out ways to circumvent this system. seeing some funny and clever methods to get to 50 posts.

There's no perfect solution

There's no perfect solution

Extremely less reviewers will come from this as well as less active members.

I say it's a ufkin pain in the pass but obviously there's reasons behind 50 posts I hope :'(
-
i cant seem to post on all of the forum ,and i could when i first joined 6 weeks ago , Can any body explain this please ?
-
Does it allow you to do 50 posts in a row?
-
Hello SR members

50 is too much and i'm really sorry for this comment.
