Post by: zebra420kitty on March 19, 2013, 09:53 pm
I'm curious to see how much yall feel comfortable transfering? I see things on here listed for like 16k. but i feel like people would take other means to get those coins. but Im looking more in the range of up to 5k or so. Is it safe to have that much money moving around my bank account 1-3 times a month?

Dear god, not again.

The problem isn't just your amount.  It's also your method.  If you're going to move that kind of money around, use multiple services to multiple addresses, do your best not to leave a paper trail with your real name, and NONE of your transactions should involve either Dwolla or Mt. Gox., who both know exactly who you are (which is why you never, ever go directly to SR from Mt. Gox).  Then direct the money to a laundry service (there are several, but I like and most often use Bitcoin Fog @ http://fogcore5n3ov3tui.onion/ ), and send the money to your SR account over 48-72 hours.

Moving large amounts is hard to do, depending on what you're moving where.  So, don't be in a hurry, have a plan, stick to it, and you will be fine.  But, please stop using Dwolla and Mt. Gox.  They are, collectively, the devil.  When the DEA makes its move against the Road in America, they will go to certain organizations demanding info, and those two WILL comply.  Bet.  Your.  Ass.  They will invoke the Patriot Act to fight the war on drugs, and then they own every transaction those two ever saved.

Just sayin'...
