Title: Receiving packages without the sender knowing my real adress?
Post by: srq on January 05, 2012, 01:43 pm
Is there a way to receive packages without it being possible to find out who i am from the other end?
Maybe a remailing-service that doesn't save information?

For instance if i bought something from a stupid seller that saved the adress somewhere and then got caught it would be nice if the police couldn't find out who i am.

I don't know of any empty houses with a mailbox because there is a shortage of houses where i live.

There are services that forward packages but most of them look like they would cooperate with law enforcement and there could be a risk that the people there finds out that there is contraband in the package.

Does anyone know a way to do what i want to do?

You can get a private mailbox.

....this topic is always discussed in the forum...

- city / country / area dependant - success rate....
- generally not advisable -empty house delivery no matter where you are located.
- postbox as mentioned prev post = best situation.

etc

 ;)

Mail redirection service or as blueangel mentioned a private mailbox, you wouldn't really want stuff posted to a empty house.

play devils advocate and imagine yourself as a postman that "knows his shit", your going to find it weird posting mail to a decrepit old house which you know for a fact nobody has lived in or had any mail delivered to in months/years.

Normally I would agree with you r.e
" there could be a risk that the people there finds out that there is contraband in the package"

but most vendors on SR are too professional for this to happen, I can't give a lot away without breaking forum rules and vendor respect but they are VERY professional (as you can imagine) when it comes to making the package look discrete as possible.
