Post by: SmashBros on June 10, 2013, 12:09 pm
Hey guys I am looking to set up a 5-10 plant grown, I am currently studding horticulture so I know a little bit about plants and what not.

I am going looking for places to purchase this stuff unscaved, like uv lights, fertilizers etc.
I will do this grow indoors, and I am australian and want some good seeds to

Thanks<3

OK.  I'm going to make this quick, I am not a grower, but I have done it before, and I have friends who do it professionally in medical marijuana states, and I've been to the emerald triangle, been growing a plant or two by my lonesome for 20 years now(just for me) OK here's what you need.
2-3 large bags of peat moss based potting soil(usually canadian is best)
1 400w metal halide light, with adjusted spectrum bulb
1 grow tent or plastic-covered closet with fresh air in/out.
5 5gal(18L?) buckets.
10 smaller 3-5L plastic grow pots.
1 bag 20kg sand
1 small bag of pearlite/vermiculite
5-10-5 fertilizer, one package
5-7-7 liquid fertilizer
Rooting Hormone powder/gel
Start your babies in 400ml cups, when they have 5 sets of leaves, give them 12 hours of darkness.
Mix sand, pearlite, with potting soil and 1L/bag water, until it starts to get a bit heavy.
this mix is also called "ed's mix", it is famous from Ed Rosenthal's book, most of which is on erowid.org.
Only give your plants 200-300ml 1/2 strength mix of plantfood, every 2 weeks, starting one month after germination, give them water on the odd week, or if you cannot find moist soil with your finger.
Follow all of the advice in ed's book, to the letter.  Flush your plant with slightly acidic rainwater 2-3 weeks
before harvest.  Dry over the course of 10-14 days, then put in a jar and burp.
it is really that easy.  give them light, and try not to fuck with them very much, most people
over-water or do that.   Keep 2x as many immature plants as flowering plants, and if you want to make
your own root paste, mix powdered hormone with isopropyl alcohol until it is a thick paste, then
use a soda bottle for a humidity dome when rooting your cuttings.
hope this helps, I'm not selling this advice, I'm giving it away to ease the suffering of others
   and to resolve karma.
So once the roots poke out the bottom of your pots, move from cups to 3L pots, then to
the bigger 18-25L pots, then flower, switch to 5-10-5 fertilzer, then 8-12 weeks later your crop will be ready, ~90 days after you start, with maybe a 21 day start-up period, you
 can be fully operational.

Sorry, I just realized you were asking for places to buy this stuff.  You don't need any fancy equipment besides
the light or tent, I would just buy it cash at a store, to light up the inside/outside of your barn,
ever since you've had that dingo problem =)
