Excuse my multiple posts. I am trying to get the word out before others lose dollars. SouthernSupplier is in the process of scamming me... actually it's over now cause he has cashed the mp.
Fuck, fuck, fuck!!!!!
SouthernSupplier told me he had the coins to do $500 a couple hours ago... would do rate at 5.6 so 89 coins. I went to the store and put $500 on it at 1:50pm central time today... then sent to SS at 2pm today. Then guess what????
SS sent back after 30 minutes saying it has a $0 balance and did I send to other vendors. I called Moneypak and they said there was a balance but it was transferred out at 2:29pm today.
SS is continuing the, "maybe it was the gal at the store" and the "I've tried on 3 other ways and it's zero."
I am being scammed out of $500 by SS!!!
Anyone know of a way to find out where the moneypak was transferred to? I might fill out the form with moneypak to see. This sucks!!
-
that sucks man. im sorry. unfortunately they tell you to treat the # like cash so at this point there isnt much you can do, except get the word out
-
SS has now "cancelled" the order so that I may not tarnish his reputation... and to trick others. That's a double suck... I lose $500 and I cannot even lower his rating.
From SR, "Dear ClearlyLooking,
We are sorry to inform you that SouthernSupplier has canceled your order of (1) Bitcoins for your MoneyPak! Cashin out!!!. Your payment has been returned to your account and we hope that you can find a suitable replacement from another seller.
Best regards,
Silk Road staff"

MP will give you the name of who cashed it and from where usually, from there it just takes a bit of searching to hunt them down. MP scammers are dumb as hell they will get whats coming ;).
-
I do have the receipt and the card. I've already talked with the Greendot moneypak 800 customer service... I can fill out a dispute with them and see what they can find out from their side.
I wish there was a simpler way to get the word out that SS is scamming than keeping it at the top of the forum.
-
You should not ever use MP vendors who are new with low feedback. TBH, Bitinstant to email is the only way to go to buy coins, I wouldn't trust anyone here with my money but reputable vendors. But to MP scammers out there - They give your name and location away to who you stole from, and probably even the police, so you're probably dead if you scam the wrong person.
-
Just file the dispute and you'll get the city and state it was cashed and you can go from there.
Post on the forums the city and state and someone will confirm if that's the same state they send packages from.
-
They also give names, fmp, I've been reading nearly every post here for 8 months and have seen several people get scammed by MP and reveal names and location of the scammers. Talk about fucked, huh.
-
Wow, you have to be a special kind of retard to scam on mp's if that's the case.
I've been here around 6 months and the only thing I ever see them do is post the city and state, that's just fucking dumb to scam if you can get names and everything.
-
I will file the dispute with mp and go from there. I do not think I can lose anything more... at least I will have more info of where the $500 was cashed.
-
Agreed, it's retarded, but the scammers usually don't know it, and neither do most of the people getting scammed. I'll see if I can pull up the links to the ones posting names/location but I know they're here somewhere.
-
Hate to let this one drop too low.
-
I was just about to send him my MP #, but thought I read the forums first.
Can anyone else confirm that this guy is a scammer?
-
the fly... I have had success with other btc traders on here and took the chance with SS thinking he would not want to jeopardize his 100% standing. SS just cancelled the order after a few messages acting like the number I gave him had a $0 balance.
There are other trustworthy vendors out there. I've learned my lesson. I'll take the earlier advise and try bitinstant. I'm just so jaded now from losing $500 and having no recourse on SR that a part of me just wants to give up on SR. I'll be more "smart" now. Geezz this stuff needs to be legal one day.
-
Yeah I feel you man.
I just have been scammed out of a $440 MP 2 weeks ago, check my posts.
yea it's tough man.
BTW, can you PM me the trusted BTC vendors you have dealt with before?
thanks.
-
i go from one guy for mp--->btc. Rapidexchange, he is on every couple of days and his prices are a little steep. but he is QUICK and TRUSTWORTHY. i have had several larger transactions with him and hes a pleasure to work with every time.
-
I've used BTC Buddy successfully in the recent past. After this major loss though, I'm hesitant to trust any money vendor. The only reason I was going with SS was because of the killer exchange offered which, of course, turned out a lie.
Fly... Thanks for sharing of your recent money loss too... sorry to hear... who ripped you off?
Thanks for feedback smokeweed420.
SouthernSupplier is a thief!!
-
this is a shame to hear... i was concerned with how easily fake feedback could be made as well. i can vouch for bitinstant to email as a trusted outside source of BTC. i wish you luck in tracking coins, or people, down; and thanks for the heads up.
-
Just did bitinstant to instawallet... took about 45 minutes... and then another 45 minutes into SR... rate of 5.9 overall. Will try the bitinstant to email next time.
SouthernSupplier is a scammer on mp to bitcoins!
-
Not trying to throw salt in the wound - sorry for your loss - but just curious... Why is there a need for BC Vendors? All I've ever used is bitinstant. It works fast, every single time and I don't think there are any reports of people not receiving their cash. Can anyone tell me why this isn't the way everyone in the US obtains their bc?
-
BTC pal is the only MP to BC vendor i will use. the rate is reasonable 10% .. always has come through in time for me on orders over 300$,, check him out, you wont be dissappointed

I agree with you now... my lesson has been learned. It was a Sunday, I was excited about placing a larger order with the coins, and I was foolish to go after a too-good-to-be-true exchange rate. There are only a few good btc vendors on here... and SS is not one of them.
Don't worry about salt on the wound. I actually do not want to forget... may help me get the word out and save someone else a heartbreaking money loss. There are more scammers out there besides SouthernScammer.
-
This sure is the wild west still... How many people have you ripped off lately dear ScammerSupplier?
-
Was just scammed $200.00 by him. Learned my lesson. I feel bad for the people who lost $500 though. It's sad to come on the Silkroad thinking that the criminals are filtered out from the honest drug dealers. People like this really give drug dealers a bad name. #shame
-
Just had $900 in MP stolen by this shithead. He better stay in stealth mode like a little bitch, because otherwise his packages are going to start arriving in the Virginia suburbs.
-
Sorry for your losses. Help me keep this towards the top every day or so and maybe we can help warn others about the lowlife before they lose cash too.
I did not go through mp customer service to dispute the transaction... I still might. All I would have to do is say I never gave the number to anyone and they would find who cashed. I did talk to them on the phone. Might be the only way to locate him. Personally, I would not do anything but post his contact info to the community here.
He is making a killing at this though. I wish SR had better safeguards for allowing thieves like ss to rip off buyers.
-
Hey everyone, I too was scammed by this low life. he got me for $4500 or nine 500MP. I know what you're thinking, but when I first had my dealing he actually referred me to the BTC vendor I use now who has NEVER done me wrong. She was bombarded at the time and he seemed somewhat legit and I approached him about it after reading his profile. I guess since he had helped me in the past I became complacent, but lets not dwell on the negative... Won't be long before he's in prison or in the intensive care unit. SO hopefully our money can help remind him of why he's there in the first place. I mean I couldn't sleep at night if I stole THIS kind of money from people. I hate thieves. On a kind of humorous note though ,now looking back at it, as I messaged him, I could tell he was reading all of them so I called him out and he immediately went into stealth mode. Enough said there and I hope everyone recovers from their losses and realizes there are good people on this website, but always do your homework.
-
any luck on tracking this fucktard down? i was also taken for $500...
-
Wow sorry for you guys! And I thought I had it bad when i got scammed $200.
Guys go to BTC buddy for your MP exchanges. He will not do you wrong Foreal. Been using him for 8 months!
-
Damn. I had actually sent SouthernSupplier a PM on SR earlier last week organizing a MP to BTC exchange for over $600 but then I stumbled upon BTCmaster's listing and chose to deal with him instead. I guess I lucked out... Sorry to hear about your losses guys.
I stick to BTCmaster or BTC Buddy when getting bitcoins through MPs. Have yet to hear anything negative about either so far...
-
SuthernSupplier just scammed me for $750 USD. I've bought BTC from him before and the transaction was great. This time I sent a little more $ and he fucked me. I feel like a fool for not doing a recent search on the forums, but since the last transaction went so well I trusted him. This is a good lesson to always do your research.
I paid with MP, has anyone been successful in recovering their losses through MoneyPack? Any tips or advice from someone who's had success would be appreciated.
On another note, why does this asshole still have access to SR? Shouldn't he be banned at this point? Looks like he's stole well over $7,000. I'm not sure how all that works, it just seems like this fucker should be banned. He'll probably pop up with another name but at least he will have to start from scratch. >:(
This fucker has a lot of bad karma that will eventually catch up to him. He's to twisted to realize it, but bad deeds always come back to haunt you. This fucking low life is doomed to be miserable for the rest of his life.
