Title: Dual Boot System - Mac and Window 7 & Truecrypt or Mac and Ubuntu or Fedora?
Post by: Chopperos on August 14, 2012, 11:14 am
Hi,

I'm looking for some added security and am having a dilemma and require advice off Linux or Windows 7 users.

I use Mac OS for my normal stuff and am considering a seperate partition for SR only.

Would there be any difference in security between a 2nd partition of either Windows 7 with TrueCrypt encrypting the entire partition OR choosing Ubuntu or Fedora also with full disk encryption on the partition 2

Partition 1 is Mac and would be unencrypted (and clean).

Anyone got any suggestions?  I'm new to linux and ubuntu FDE doesnt seem the easiest on Ubuntu.  Ubuntu is AES-256 whilst Fedora is AES-128.  I assume the 128 is still as safe?

thanks,
