Ideally a place with people like US (I include US as people who believe in privacy, and won't be corrupted by governments) who use 'reputation' perhaps verifiable (securely of course)
It seems to be not a terribly hard requirement (corruption of government less so though) they could deal with all cryptically money, maybe even gold or other materials)
Seems like it would involve a lot of lawyers for privacy for the firm and a non extradition treaty with anybody. How it would deal with REAL crime, I don't know. Like somebody on a 'offshore' island murders somebody and can say 'Ha Ha-you can't get me here!'
Does anybody know of any currency exchanges that are offshore (if not literally, then realistically) now, that have a good record?

BTC-e?

Guess I'll look that up, thanks!

In Russia, seems like.
I went there with Tor and the page says I'm banned (never been there before). I guess sites can tell if you are using Tor? I've heard MtGox does similar stuff like this too.

MtGox will flag your account if you use tor and require you to verify with a license and proof of residence.

If BTC picks up we may see china and Japan supporting BTC exchanges, as they have a lot of US$ to get rid off amid the US Economy uncertanity....
May be BTC is the currency the BRICS are looking forward to... instrad of using the US$ for trade...
