Title: Pre or post price listing??!!!
Post by: mettiez on December 04, 2012, 07:16 pm
Ok, so I just want the amount of the item listed to be the same price as it is at check out. Everytime I switch back and forth, my prices change, and its confusing the shit out of me.

So to be clear, which setting should I use to that a buyer will pay the same price that he sees the item listed as?

Thanks in advance for help with this admittedly stupid question!!!

Either way the buyer will pay the exact price he sees listed.

Here's how it works:
With PRE-commission pricing, you set the price of an item at $100 and you will receive $100. However the listing appears to customers as $106 (approx).
With POST-commission pricing, you set the price of an item at $100 and the customer sees it and buys it at $100. However you only net $94 (approx).

Part of the confusion stems from the fact that if you look at your own listings on the Listed Items page the prices displayed are what you net, not what the customer pays. And if you switch from pre to post or back with some listings set one way and some listings set another way the prices start looking all screwy.
It's fucking annoying. I agree.

If DPR is listening, can you fix this dude?
