Hello everyone,
I'm 1.25 BTC short of the amount of a product I want to order. I'm planning on cancelling another order tomorrow which will credit my account 3 BTC, so I will be able to pay a generous person back in 14 hours. If someone is willing to be charitable and help me, I would really appreciate it. :)
Thank you,
Lili

I happen to have exactly 1.25 in my SR wallet. PM me your SR username. :)

Thank you very much! :) I sent you a PM.

Hehe, love how women get treated on the interwebz :D
-
Haha, women or not, I'm wasted and in a helpful mood. :)
-
I'm always impressed with the decorum, kindness, and helpfulness of most of the people on the Silk Road (whether it's directed towards women or men). =P
-
Yeah, having to install Tor really keeps away all the, or most of them at least, lowlifes.
Also helps that the community in general is pretty mature :)
-
You're definitely correct. That's what I appreciate most about the Silk Road; since utilizing its services requires the installation of TOR, acquiring BTC, and learning PGP (I'm struggling with this last task), it sort of goes without saying that most of the users will be of average or above average intelligence (and maturity usually goes along with that). Instead of using the anonymity afforded by the internet to be assholes, most people here are kind and helpful to strangers. Altogether, it's a much better experience than trying to cop off the street or going through my regular flake of a dealer--it's a win-win for me.

I haven't really got the hang of GPG either, but I do not really feel that for me it's that 'super' important to be super super safe with my address. As I do not live in a country currently in a war on drugs. Or better said I live in Holland :P which is quite the drugs utopia. And these small amounts I get sent through the mail are even 'legal'. Love my country for this ;D Tor anonymity and SR encryption is safe enough for my likings..
-
Yeah, I'm not obsessively concerned with my address anonymity either; I only order small quantities for personal use. My country is not quite as lax when it comes to drugs, so I SHOULD be more careful. It took me months of lurking, reading tutorials, and cautiously acquiring BTC to place my first order, so I'm reluctant and too lazy to learn PGP/GPG right now. I've always wanted to travel to Holland and take full advantage of the drug utopia you mentioned...maybe someday!

Better be fast tho, current government is making many types of drugs illegal, at a rapid pace :(
It's so stupid that they don't see it worked for 30-40 years, without any (real) problems and now they put a ban on things and tourists & citizen have to buy their stuff on the streets. Where quality is not guaranteed, while cities get more dangerous (cause of drugsrunners/pushers) and dumbest of all... they wont get any taxes from it! ::)
Damn politicians and their ivory tower >:( pisses me off.
-
I completely agree. Governments don't seem to realize that they could eliminate the more illicit aspects of the drug trade (such as production which damages the ecosystems in which certain substances are produced and profit-fueled violence and crime run by those who strive to monopolize the drug trade in their area) product simply by legalizing their sale and controlling their manufacturing. The latter would set a standard of quality control and purity, eliminating harmful unknown "cuts" used in street drugs. The governments could also place a tax on these items, so they'd make a profit and the public would have access to drugs. People will continue to use drugs whether they're legal or illegal, and they should have the right to make that choice, always keeping harm prevention in mind though. Maybe it's just my naive, libertarian dream--although I see that dream becoming manifested here on SR.

Wow I honestly couldn't agree more :o +1 for that.
And worst of all, alcohol and tobacco are available everywhere! Government is 'trying' to demotivate people from beginning with smoking by putting more taxes on them... I call it bluntly robbing addicted people of their money so government can spend it on left-wing hobbies. A pack of Marlboro Red now costs €5,40/$6,80 I don't smoke but it's so unfair for those who do.
"According to WHO, worldwide alcohol causes 1.8 million deaths (3.2% of total)"
"Globally, nearly 5 million premature deaths were caused in 2000 as a result of cigarette smoking. "
"About 100 deaths worldwide have been associated with Ecstasy use, though cause of death is generally disputed because MDMA deaths are often associated with a mix of the drug and alcohol or other drugs."
Sigh, looking up these facts makes me sick.. Why can't the people who rule the world think straight for 1 damn minute. I'd like to know what goes around in their heads all day..

Even more in the UK mate. 20 Pack Marlboro Red will cost you £7 off the shelf! :0
Most smokers I know have to turn to roll ups or black market baccy.

So your living in Holland and being familiar with the situation I gotta ask why IS the Dutch government cracking down on the drug trade there? What happened politically that this is happening there at all? External pressure to comply with WoD? Or right wing governments attempting to comply with some moral code? What's the fucking deal if you don't mind me asking?

Some strange combination where there is a 'minority government' which has to search support from opposition party's to make a majority so they can pass laws..
One governing party is a so called 'liberal' party but they are more like the communist party in China, jezus fuck... Internetcensorship, higher taxes, strangest budget cuts etc you name it. The other party is a Christian party, which of course has to pretend they care about Christianity or else they would lose votes (omg laik teh worst thing in zeh worldddd!! :o) from their supporters.. And sometimes they had to form a majority in the chamber to pass a law, with an extremely Christian party.. even worse than Rick Santorum. No women allowed in their party etc... So of course this little party (2 seats of the 150 in chamber) has a list of things they want. No shops open on sunday, no abortion and ofc DRUGS!! They want to close every coffeeshop (where you buy your weed here), bigger police force for enforcing stricter drugrules bladiebla..
Long story short, Holland needs an election threshold so there be like 5-6 big partys instead of 10-11 small ones, who all have to make compromises etc etc. uhg I even get tired writing about it because the entire situation is so freaking stupid. This government didn't even last 1.5 year before it collapsed and now we're going to vote again in September.. I have a feeling the results from that election will be even worse.
Aaanywhore, if you'd like to read some more about it.. :P

Things would be so much better if only people who finished HIGH SCHOOL would be allowed to vote, instead of the retarded lowerclass of society who only care about their welfare and earning their money 'black'.
/sigh :-\

Wow. That sounds nightmarish. There is something fundamentally wrong when two extremists in a 150 large chamber are capable of passing laws that force their morality on the masses by restricting their fundamental freedoms. I'm surprised the lawmakers who choose to bring such types into their coalition don't face big time blowback from their constituents that don't like being force fed legislation based on medieval christian morality. Never knew there were actually enough proactive fundamental christians in holland to force drug laws on the rest of society. Wow!

I have yet to figure out PGP... I have never used it...... :P

There's also the case of Geert Wilders (which I am sure you'll know) in my eyes he is one of the, if not the, only one who really stands up for citizens. And is the only one who really has the guts to say exactly what the problems are. But the established parties just don't want to agree with his points purely because he is Geert Wilders, not because his points are legit.. Sickens me.
