So i ran out of alcohol wipes to desinfect the rubber top of the steroid vial.
Ordering new ones.
But in the meantime could i just use Betadine instead?
Anybody here got experience with that or a re-assuring opinion :P?

Don't put betadine on them - you'll never get rid of that at all.
I'd soak them in 70/30 ethanol/water for a few minutes and then let them dry in a sterile environment.
Alternatively, you could just autoclave them if the rubber is resistant to high temperature.

for around a dollar you can buy a pack of 100 sterile alcohol wipes for injection prep in the diabetic section of pharmacies/walmart

How do you mean i'll never get rid of the betadine??
All it needs to do is desinfect the top so i can stick my needle into safely?
And yeah i know they are dirt cheap..i live in europe sooo no walmart here but the weekend is over so i guess i can purchase some tomorrow if i get the time.
Still think betadine was a good plan b thou.

If you already have sealed vials you can disinfect the seal with a betadine or isopropanol wipe. I though you were putting them together, and cleaning them with betadine would then leave a residue that would also end up in the content of the vials if they are moved around.
