would we see it in the news, or would they keep it hush hush as not to be an advertisement for SR?
-
i doubt the press would even really pick it up, unless it was a sweep or crackdown

To me, a more worrisome question is: if a seller gets busted, do the next several of that seller's customers also get busted? Could be, depending on stuff like whether they caught him logged in, whether he uses an agent that keeps his private key in memory, etc.
-
the police dont care about SR as much as alot of people think. No cop wants the SR case or to deal with all the complex bullshit of prosecuting a case. But once some1 does get arrested for selling on SR they can be sure that the police will prosecute them to the fullest because internet drug dealing cases take alot of resources and time.

Depends what the police will try to do. Make a warning for others or double the seller to bust buyers. The genie is out bottle so keeping silent about existence of Silk Road is no good strategy.
Maybe start sending out spam emails about Silk Road? Will this do more good or more bad?

depends on if they get the vendor's SR password or not....

I don't think it'd even make it to the press unless it was a major sting operation but I don't think those happen too often on SR...

I was thinking about this the other day, and to be honest I feel that if they caught someone they would have to catch them in the act of being on SR. Or else how would they know about SR. I feel pretty good about being on here though.
