Title: customs letter
Post by: e4meallday on November 02, 2011, 11:46 pm
how long generally does it take to recieve a letter from customs once your shipment is marked in transit? is it the same amount of time as a reg delivery or is it longer due to them obtaining a warrent and investigating the package etc...?

In the US it seems to take much longer. I waited for a month and a half before I got mine. I don't know if that is typical since I have only had this happen once but it did take a l o o o n n g time. I was tracking that shipment forever until I finally got a love letter from customs.

It's been my experience with steroids internationally shipped. That US customs has made a change in the last few years not to send letters for every interception anymore. Reason being those letters are used as proof of non delivery and the seller will resend the product with that proof. Even when a letter is recieved it maybe a month or more to get it. If / when you do receive a customs letter, or you believe customs has intercepted your package never use that address again for shipping anything illegal too from international sources as customs puts extra scrutiny on your packages. Your address has essentially been black listed, that is why you should always set up a PO box under a fake business name and have packages sent to you that way say Company XYZ ATTN: Returns. So if need be dump the PO box and open a new one. Hope this helps.
