Google is more annoying than unsafe while on Tor. Endless captchas. DuckDuckGo is not only easier, but they also have a hidden service: http://3g2upl4pq6kufc4m.onion/

I've said this before and I'll say it again.  I do love the idea DDG but it has horrible search results.  Google has always yielding the best search results for me.  Google searches are also encrypted when you use https://google.com which is nice.

I use Bing now. It has way better search results than DDG or startpage, and it lets me use Tor with it. Google lost a customer by blocking Tor.

That is because Bing has been copying Googles results.

Sounds good to me just so long as they don't block Tor. Google can go fuck themselves.

Start Page search engine is pretty good but doesn't end up being compatible with some sites (like Erowid) and you end up de-proxying to see the content.

Not sure if you're responding to recent news that the feds are hoovering up all search engine data but yeah that's gonna be a thing.
