Title: Old but working prepaid cell phones without E911
Post by: iwannahavefuntoo on May 18, 2012, 04:43 am
I have access to old model but still working cell phones. They are pre-E911 which means they can not just ping your phone and get an instant GPS location like with newer ones. I've never heard of anyone being triangulated before but I guess that's possible. Regardless, these older phones are still safer than any new one you could buy that has E911 capability. Any previous information will be wiped off. The previous owners ditched these phones years and years ago.

These would be for the USA market (CDMA phones, but I may also have some GSM phones). I can activate them on a nationwide prepaid reseller that uses the Verizon network (for CDMA phones) with the area code and credit of your choice, with the appropriate programming changes made to be compatible. There would be a charger, and the battery would last for at least a day on standby (keeping in mind these are old phones). I can also provide more airtime for sale.

Most of these older phones can receive but not send text messages; keep that in mind.

One example I have is the Qualcomm QCP-860. It can receive texts, and also voicemail alerts (the prepaid service includes voicemail). It does not appear to be able to send texts.

Let me know if there's any interest in such phones, or even just airtime codes for various prepaid services, for anonymous sale here.
