General information about the marketplace, listings and vendors.
-
Frequently asked questions, abbreviated to FAQ, are listed questions and answers, all supposed to be commonly asked in some context, and pertaining to a particular topic. The format is commonly used on email mailing lists and other online forums, where certain common questions tend to recur.
"FAQ" is pronounced as either an initialism (F-A-Q) or an acronym. Since the acronym FAQ originated in textual media, its pronunciation varies; "fack", "faak", "fax", and "facts" are commonly heard.[1] Depending on usage, the term may refer specifically to a single frequently asked question, or to an assembled list of many questions and their answers. Some web page designers may label the list of questions as "FAQ," such as on Google.com,[2] other websites use "FAQs," such as on United States Treasury sites.[3]

Cannabis Road is a community-driven project that aims to create an online marketplace where vendors and buyers from across the globe can come together and carry out transactions in a safe and secure environment.
Using state-of-the-art data encryption, multi-signature escrow and an intelligent reputation system, Cannabis Road Marketplace aspires to be the safest and most secure platform for unregulated trade on earth.
All transactions on Cannabis Road Marketplace are processed using award-winning virtual currency technology, bitcoin. Plans to expand support to other virtual currencies, e.g. litecoin or ripple, have been proposed and development will be undertaken as soon as interest rises.
Cannabis Road is driven and operated entirely through community efforts, and anyone can join.
-
On Cannabis Road, there are no wallets. All funds are handled on a per-transaction basis. This hinders events similar to that of the Sheep Marketplace heist of November 2013.
No funds are accessible by anyone with access to Cannabis Road servers. Deposit addresses are derived from your account's public key, and only you can mobilize these funds. All transaction funds are stored in 2-3 multisig bitcoin addresses.
Unlike the majority of past marketplaces, Cannabis Road marketplaces poses no restrictions on who may sell items on the marketplace. Anyone can create listings, and it is up to the community to judge if a vendor can be trusted, through the reputation and feedback system.

Cannabis Road goes to great lengths to ensure that all data is stored securely on our servers.
ALL user information, that is not made public by the user herself, is fully encrypted using industry-standard RSA encryption. The user, with her unique username/password combination, is the ONLY person in the whole world who is able to read this data. Not even system administrators are able to decipher any data that is uniquely encrypted and addressed to a user.
-
By default, all transactions are processed using our multi-signature escrow system. This system ensures that your funds are completely safe until you have received the requested item(s) and you release the funds.
In the event, that an order is unfulfilled, or the product does not live up to the standard advertised by the vendor, our accommodating dispute resolution system will ensure that no funds are released until you are satisfied with the resolution that you and the vendor will jointly work out.
Should Cannabis Road servers ever become unavailable for an extended period of time, all escrow funds can be recovered manually.
-
Cannabis Road has a 2% 'marketplace fee' on all transactions. Multisig transactions with dispute resolution may be subject to additional fees (currently 0%).
We do not ask our users for insurance bonds or any bonds of any type. Cannabis Road has no barriers of entry for users who wish to start buying and selling.
-
Cannabis Road does not endorse the trade or sale of user accounts for the sake of our users' safety and the reputation of our community as a whole.
