Middle Earth(ME) not releasing funds

They say they aren't a "mixing site" and claim that they take that policy very seriously. Unfortunately for me I deposited funds with ME yesterday, found out the vendor I wanted to purchase from was out of stock (even though he didn't advertise this), and tried moving my coin to a site that I could get the product I needed. The mods cancelled my transaction and instructed me to explain myself. I did and have yet to hear back from them.

Anyone else experience this? Did it turn out ok?

EDIT After four days of dreading that I was out 1.8 BC I finally had the funds released to the intended address.

Why do you need to explain yourself in order to move your coin to and from?

they are a scam and so obvious about it.

Lolol they are killing what little rep they have

I had a similar experience when the site first came around: http://www.reddit.com/r/DarkNetMarkets/comments/307d61/complaintwarning_middle_earth_preventing_my_btc/

If somebody wanted a free mixing service, they would just deposit and withdraw from localbitcoins.

It just shows you that your wallet on ME isn't a real wallet, because they can overide anybody from withdrawing from the site any time they like. Like Sheep and Evo.

"Because it's my fucking bitcoin, not yours" should be sufficient.

They sound like a bad-tempered bunch of fucking thieves, don't they? Just a little bit.

I knew ME was fucked

'They don't want to be used as a mixing service'

^ This is the reason they came up with to justify their policy.

'They don't get a cut unless you make a purchase'

^ And this is their motive behind the policy.

I think someone has caught the dragon-spell and is lusting after treasure.

If this is true, that is a pretty crazy policy...

yeah good luck, this is stupid.

What the hell? No, really. What the hell?

Do they have a transaction fee? If yes, this is even more hillarious.

"You deposit here, you spend it here! Got that? Damn these customers.."

Edit: Would you mind uploading a screenshot of that message they sent you?

[2 Points] HulkVsMeth:

I refuse to use that site

I just looked to check the status of my issue and there is a host of other people messaging the Mods "Gandalf" and "Gollum" that they are trying to get their money back due to being accused of "mixing". Be very careful using ME!!

Why did I ever stray from BB....

You probably just ran into one of the many Goblins that inhabit Middle Earth, try your request again.

I just had exactly the same situation. I messaged Gandalf and explained my situation. He right away agreed to release my funds, but it took almost 2 days to process. I say, wait, they take very long to respond.
