Hi guys,
Someone I met once said he was using Alphabay to buy something from there.
- He purchased the item and on the 13th day (before the transaction finalised) he disputed the transaction.
- He went onto the forums and discussed it in the scam area which transpired to have had a few people, everyone agreed it was an exit scam.
- He told me the moderators agreed and refunded the money back to his account. However, when they did this, they only transferred back half of the transaction total. When this was questioned directly to the admin he apparently explained that part of the money was finalised early.
- However this guy told me that was definitely not the case and the items description mentioned of nothing about any early payment. It was 100% in escrow, and we being held as part of the dispute now.
- Admins are sticking to their guns despite another user in the EXACT same position with the seller got a refund on his remaining balance.
- No further discussions have been had, admin refuse to reply and apparently closed off a post topic asking for an explanation.
How is this possible? Is this potentially Alphabay trying to scam this guy I met out of a bit of cash? Anyone else experienced something like this?
Didn't read your post but yes. Definitely.
