BitBay, OpenBazaar : Decentralized MarketPlaces ?

As a lot of you know some interesting projects are currently developped on the concept and idea of "Decentralized MarketPlaces".

http://www.thebitbay.org/

https://openbazaar.org/

BitBay is currently running his ICO with an impressive Volume of coins sold in 24 Hrs on Bter.com showing the large interest these projects are carrying at the moment in the CryptoCurrency Community.

OpenBazaar is still in Beta stage and released the 3.0 Beta version lately.

The question is "are these models of decentralized marketplaces will be suitable for the DNM activity on all aspects, security, anonymity, OPSEC ?"

Do you think we are seeing a new trend emerging under the pressure of LE Operations on centralized MarketPlaces like the FBI Operation Onymous ?

Do you think a large part of the DNMs activity will move to these new decentralized systems in 2015 ?

They may not be at the very beginning. But with time, and the evolution of Open sourceness, and the will of our community, we will make or break this enigma. :)

OpenBazaar sounds promising. I look forward to using it in the coming years.

BitPay seems less impressive, the clunky website doesn't help.

If I understand correctly, if your contract is not agreed by bother parties the coins are destroyed. Customer orders pack Vendor sends pak customer receives pack customer holds vendor hostage or threatens to burn coins.

i dont think bitbay is decentralized, not in the same way OB is, i think the guy who runs it has a master key or something to control it for censorship purposes.

OB will not see DNM activity in 2015, it will be out of beta spring 2015, it will take a good year to be pentested into 2016, then all the main markets will start to die off and we can leave that disaster behind us.

Is Bitbay opensource?
