Normally you get some junk mail just for signing up to a PO box and you can get more by signing up for free magazines and shit online or ordering free samples. It doesn't hurt to have a lot of mail coming in so that it doesn't stand out when you're there every day. But I don't think it's necessary because plenty of people use the usps on a regular basis.

Just go on the army, navy, and marine website and sign up for literature. You'll be bombarded. Also aspca and peta any of that crap. You can also hit up free sample websites so you are actually getting small packages and not just letters

I see people here saying you should "lube up" (lol) your PO box before ordering dnm to it. But to me that sounds overly paranoid. I mean sure opening a PO box getting one package then closing immediately is a bit sketchy but is there really anything to worry about? I feel like those things being a "red flag" is just people's paranoia talking.

After opening my box, junk mail shows up there anyways.... simply addressed to occupant/whatever the fuck they think is clever. Always like car ads and nonsense junk, but still I get an email notification about it being there.

po boxes get junk mail already you don't have to get junk mail.

It's not really. However you should send your PO Box something just to make sure you have it addressed properly and make sure they opened the PO Box properly. Many people have had this happen when PO didn't properly open the box up and a pack gets RTS
