Energy Control reports and their effect on DNM.

I have a serious question. Why are energy control reports pointed to as proof a vendor does(or does not) accurately dose their tabs.

As far as I understand it that would only be proof of a single sheet being laid well. Less than that I suppose as you can have unevenly dosed sheet. So why does someone see say a TGUK or BV EC report and go "Their tabs are on point!" when everyone who ordered after the test, almost certainly did not receive the tabs from the same sheet.

Why do peope count the results as anything other than anecdotal evidence? Right now I often see posts referring to how certain vendors are "100% legit EC doesn't lie!"

So, with that being said. Why do EC tests on a single tab of a single sheet from a vendors thousands and thousands every produced, make such a difference in who people purchase from? I can think of a couple vendors who's main point of sales seems to be EC reports posted about their product.

Because that single test is infinitely better than no test at all? The test isn't anecdotal.

Your point about being complacent and extrapolating the results to the entire sheet and vendor in general is well taken but again, it serves as good guide in the absence of any test at all.

and the hope is that more people will start sending in tabs for tests.

There are two of GammaGoblin's 150ug Swiss tabs in for testing, one of mine annd one from another person. The other person's tested at 146ug. If mine comes back at close to that, it will show 2 tabs, from different orders made at different times, at approx the same dosage.

The more tests that come back the same, the more dependable that vendor will become.

But it has to start somewhere. Now we just need to get people to send the tabs in for testing.

For the vendors that lay their own sheets, it would make sense to think that they do the same process over and over and over again, therefore should all be within a few ug of each other. Since the LSD experience is so subjective, it would be easy for the vendor to lay "125" ug tabs at 75ug and get away with it. Unless they start getting proof with these reports that they underdose, they can continue to do it all day long.

For vendors who don't lay their own sheets, it's just showing they had a good connect that one time and I see your point.

Your whole reason for dismissing these tests is hinged on the idea that their tabs and sheets are not laid evenly. The thing is, this is a huge issue in itself, even bigger than underdosed tabs imo. If EC tests confirm that a vendor cannot consistantly lay sheets then they need to seriously reevaluate their process, and I would NOT personally but from them.

Because they are selling at an advertised price point and the ug should be around the advertised point. If they are laying it on their own then it should not be under-dosed. It should always be around the same average that they advertise and these reports show proof of that. It's like selling capsuled pills, lets use molly for example. If you are making molly pills at .1 then the weight should be no less than .098 or perhaps .097. You are making consistent product. It's routine.

If they advertised at 100ug and an ec came back at 90ug it should be fine, although a fine line. If it came back at 75ug it is underdosed and the vendor is lying to you.

i find EC reports awesome. while its true that you cant say now that the blotter quality is always the same..(sheet not laid correctly) it gives you a good look. best thing is, some of the avengers even test the stuff they've tested like some months ago again and we get new results or stuff is still same good quality/bad.

so yeah huge thumps up for all testers out there!

[1 Points] Vendor_BBMC:

Energy control need to include a description of the blotter design on the report, or it could be anybody's LSD being tested.

I used to be an analyitical chemist. If you ask the analyst to do this, he usually will. otherwise he will assume the report is for your own private harm reduction use, not for promoting a product.
