[GeneralQuestions] Do you put voices to the names or writing?

Here and on the markets, especially here, when I read what specific people write I can usually put it to a certain tone or type of voice in my head.

On the markets this has kept me safe and away from shady vendors.Responding to any inquiry message with a YO, my homie slice, my nigga, fa sure G, thiz shit str8 fire yo, ect. will get an automatic mental note to stay clear. And this has constantly kept me out of scams way. Not to mention the vendors that just come off as straight rude before a purchase has even been made.

Here I just think it's kind of interesting how general douchebaggery and other things can come off so strongly through words. Just like /u/gwern and the intelligence or /u/ahighniggapie and the ignorance. /u/Vendor_BBMC snarky was the perfect way to describe it for you.

Does anyone else do this?

What users have some original voices for you in some way.

I read all vendors messages in the tone of J-Roc from Trailer Park Boys.

Most members on this subreddit I assume are the same 12 year olds that call me a faggot nigger on BF4 when I heli rape them.

When I'm on weed I'll read reddit post as voices, but regularly I just read it as straight text.

I read reddit like its all from the same person then get confused when they are arguing.

Only when someone writes something super douchey

I've have vendors type/sound like they were 12 years old but still come through with insane product...

Always. It makes stuff much more interesting plus I can pay more attention to it.

I read the meth fueled posts in Spud's voice from Trainspotting, the scene where he goes to the job interview on speed

Interesting approach to social OPSEC, by internalizing everyone as an individual voice.

For me it's a bit different. I have slight synesthesia linking emotionally attached things to colors. So all people I wrote with or which I have read a lot "automatically" have individual colors (weekdays, certain numbers and many other things too BTW).

Gwern is yellow for me, next best thing to turquoise and bright blue ;-)

Not voices, but hair styles:

Gammagoblin with a shaved head.

The Grand Wizard with a flowing mane of grey.

Top_Gear_UK with a slicked-back toupée.
