Toggle javascript.enabled to false?

I see this on a lot of websites I visit. But I'm not sure whether they're LE trying to make my Tor useless or trolls. Should I toggle it to false or keep it the way it is?

It's just a way to be super duper safe. It's technically more secure than "Forbid Scripts Globally" on NoScript. Or so I remember reading. I'm not savvy enough on the matter to give an in-depth technical explanation of why that is, though.

Just set Tor Browser's Security Slider to "High." You don't need to go mucking around in about:config, and most of what I've seen people "suggest" to do there is actually making them less anonymous.

The difference is that if you disable it in your config, it's always disabled, while using NoScripts is more a toggle on/off.

For example, if you disabled it in your CFG, you just can't post on reddit anymore, even tho you've whitelisted it in your NoScript settings.

Forbid scripts globally does not turn off javascript completely. Setting javascript.enabled to false does.

For maximum security set your slider to high, Forbid scripts globally on noscript and javascript.enabled should be set to false
