Hopefully they didn't FE.

The prices for meth are highest in Japan, Australia and New Zealand.

I've got a couple of Kiwi customers living in the UK, and they were the first to go wrong on UK meth.

Germany? I'm surprised. Most australian meth is from SE asia. In particular, from Mymar (Burma) via Thailand, and the very high quality North korean meth via China, the same stuff "Hank" sells on agora in the UK. I guess they also get the two chinese grades, the lowest of which we call "Bayswater basic" in Britain

If it's german, and bulk, it will be racemic meth which is 50% active D isomer, and 50% L isomer, so it doesn't form crystals. It doesn't make sense to cut meth BEFORE its smuggled, but that krautcrank would have been glued into lumps resembling crystal meth by an austrailan using a cutting agent like MSM, and would have been 30% or less D-isomer by the time it hit the streets.

Australian customs inspectors have actually done Australian drug users a favor for once.

There are a few Australian chemists making really good domestic meth, but even pseudoephedrine pills hto be smuggled in. They tend to use hypophosphoric acid, americans use red phosphorus or one of the methods using lithium metal, and in Britain, we are fans of phosphonic acid.

There's always more drugs. Seems the Australian importers have lessons to learn though.

Australian Customs control are ingenious. They're also bastards who fine you for having an apple in your suitcase and like making old asian ladies cry because they bought a jar of pickle for their sister. Somebody being pompous and officious seems even worse in an australian accent, because aussies are usually down-to-earth

But you have to remember that Australians love getting shit-faced, the rewards are higher, and australian smugglers went to the same schools as the customs officers. They're equally ingenious.

Meth is worth more than MDMA, but its the "MA" part with a fragile methylene dioxy bridge stuck on it (the "MD" part). Eventually, some ingenious Australian will realize this, buy loads of cheap MDMA and make it into MA.

Every MDMA user who says they will never touch meth doesn't realize theyve already had a fair bit, as a metabolite.

Drugs always get through. They just push the stakes up, and the prices. An Australian junkie has to break into twice as many houses as an american junkie

Tl;Dr: it happened in Sydney. German Police and Interpol worked together to help the Australian LE to catch a shipment worth 1mrd € of MDMA and Methamphetamine coming from Hamburg/Germany hidden in a container with furniture.

The Australian Police arrested six Aussies aged from 23-34.

Said container already arrived at the 19th Nov, containing 2.000 KG MDMA and 800 KG Meth, but LE kept waiting until Saturday-morning when the people receiving it eventually showed up.

Bla bla bla biggest found blabla connection to overseas and EU and Asia, blablabla.

Edit: Yes, in Germany when people use the term "ton" they usually mean 1.000 Kilo. And I guess my translation wasn't needed anymore.

At least I killed ten minutes that way :/

Festival season is going to be depressingly dry....good thing I'm stocked up teehee

In a single shipment from Germany no less, I wonder what stealth method they used. Oh well, they'll probably go to prison for life. Yay drug laws, yay commercialism!

[3 Points] ApricockApecot:

Of course it was fucking Germany, probably Stealth Bomber, Toyota, or Snapback

That's 19,170,000 x 100mg doses of MDMA. That's enough doses for the entire adult population of Australia... holy shit!

[2 Points] None:

2 tons? Isn't that billions of dollars ?

[1 Points] butters091:

That would be 1792 kilos of mdma......wow

Edit: and that was only for 2 tons, the article even said 2.8 tons

[1 Points] drugpigthrowaway:

couple of bits of random information-

yes the 2008 bust was 15 million pills, enough to get almost every Australian over 18 high. But only once. Do you know what happened to the price and availability of MDMA after that? NOTHING. I was able to get decent pingers without any interruption of supply. Maybe a year later the quality went down and stayed down, but that could have been one of those things that happens regularly.

I bought ice (smokable speed in crystal form) in Australia at least 15 and possibly up to 20 years ago, so ice is not a new problem here.

a 2 tonne bust is significant but I don't really expect supply or price to change, there are a lot of different crews importing gear, it would be silly to think one bust would make an impact.

Australian customs are not that good. Please stop perpetuating this myth. The fact that we harass old ladies for bringing in homemade pickles is about preventing bugs and shit NOT about preventing drugs getting in.

Our basic problem is that we don't have ENOUGH people trying to get drugs into the country. This would also solve the price issue. You're welcome.

I'm thinking of doing a guide for vendors shipping to Aus, if you want to contribute, you know where to find me. I don't really have the time but it could be interesting to research anyway
