Bitcoin double spend. What?

Can someone help or explain what on earth is going on with a bitcoin transaction?

I transferred 0.363btc into my nucleus wallet. Somehow, I've managed to do this twice I think and now the transaction has been pending for hours.

Blockchain is giving me this, "Warning! this transaction is a double spend. You should be extremely careful when trusting any transactions to/from this sender."

What is going on with my transaction and why has this happened? I transferred the bitcoin from my electrum wallet in tails.

I once used easycoin for tumbling before knowing it was a scam. They made an error that made me have my money two times without any faults. The acid I bought for the extra coins was rc's though so it didn't matter.

The coins transferred to nucleus. Whatever happened, it seemed to have sorted itself out.

Eventually one or both spend attempts will time out if neither confirms.

Otherwise, the first of those spend attempts to get put in a block and confirmed is recognized as the legitimate spend attempt and the other is invalidated.

If they both time out, you'll eventually see the coin back in your wallet normally after a few days.

Is this where you send it on before you have any confirmations?

I did that a couple of times. It takes like day to turn up then. But I never bothered looking to see any double spend warnings or anything..
