Anyone interested in having a conversation about stealth?

The underlying current to these markets seems to be concealment. Concealing one's IP (Tor/i2p), concealing one's physical address (PGP), and concealing one's product (stealth).

Tor and PGP are black and white issues; either you have them, or you don't. Stealth, however, runs a spectrum...from non-existent, to one bag, to multiple vacuum sealed layers, to MBB (for applicapable products). Not to mention boxes or labeling, but you get the point.

One, I'm wondering what the agreed upon ethic is behind discussing stealth without divulging critical trade secrets?

Secondly, I'm wondering if anyone is concerned with the nonchalant attitude some vendors take towards using mylar. MBB is an extremely cheap and effective insurance/security measure in the scheme of things. I guess just I'm surprised greater emphasis isn't placed on shipping ALL products that can be traced by dog in MBB...in the same way that no vendor in his right mind would send without vacuuming, I wonder why MBB hasn't been adopted industry wide. Why don't sites require MBB the same way they're starting to require PGP?

Sorry for the rant, and I know my last few comments have centered around this, so feel free to take my shit elsewhere if you feel so inclined. I just thought a serious conversation about stealth might do us all some good.

Edit 1: changed some ideas/questions etc.

Edit 2: To be clear, I don't think vendors like pimpit, selling products on blotter, ought to be required to use MBB. But any vendor hustling cannabis, coke, MDMA, etc...I feel like MBB should be required, or atleated feedback should reflect a lack of mylar.

Mandatory use of MBB would be nice. I think that's a good idea. If a vendor didn't use MBB I wouldn't want to use them anyway..

"no vendor in his right mind would send without vacuuming"

Why not? MBB is far superior and unless you need to flatten it then who cares about vacuum seal?

what's MBB?

I think I might be better off taking this idea to the mods of specific markets' forums. I just registered with The Marketplace, and they seem to be more security-minded than most other markets I've come across. Even going as far as mentioning holding vendors responsible for poor stealth in their Security Policy.

Someone on the SR2 forum argued credibly that LE are likely to be monitoring suspicious MBB purchases. It seems an easy way to bust a lot of vendors. The same tactic would not work against vacuum packers, as there are many more legitimate (and non-industrial) uses for vacuum packing.

I would have thought that if you're a vendor buying your MBB from a dark market then you're taking a big risk.
