I've been a customer on the DarkNet for a decent amount of time now, Agora being the first market I took part in. After they quit the game, I decided to branch out & try multiple markets so that I wouldn't be left high and dry (well, sober and dry to be more accurate) if my current market of choice followed suit. All has been good so far, until now--I've been scammed for the first time, on Oasis by vendor IdealPills. Now I have to go through the dispute process having no experience with it, so I figured I'd ask the community here for some info.
As far as the back story up to this point, I placed an order with IdealPills at the beginning of the month for a 25-pack of Perc 10's. The listing showed a picture of a blister pack of the yellow Endo Pharma Percs, and the title of the listing was 'Percocet 10 MG x 25 Pills'. The description gave a general description of Percocet (that it's prescribed for moderate to severe pain, etc.) and there was a note at the bottom saying "The product delivered can be different from the product image displayed in the image above", which I took to mean that I might get a different brand of Perc, possibly generic or something. They also stated in the listing that the product would ship from either the US or the Philippines, depending on the stock of meds in their warehouse.
I made the order, which came out to .31 btc and some change after paying the shipping. I had asked the vendor if these were legit pills or some kinda pressed garbage before my order was placed, but heard nothing back for quite a while, so I went ahead with the order because I knew it was gonna take awhile to make it here and I was anxious to get the pack on its way.
Sometime after placing the order, IdealPills finally responded to my question, telling me that the pills were pressed 'but they were lab tested and would work', though I saw no lab report to back that up. That immediately sent up red flags for me, as I didn't want some mystery substance instead of what I had ordered, especially with all of the news lately about Fentanyl-based counterfeit pain meds killing people. But since this was an escrow order, and I figured it wasn't completely out of the question for the vendor to perhaps have access to the API to press their own pills and sell them for $5 apiece, I patiently waited for my pack to land.
Finally, after two weeks of waiting, my pack arrives (my first international order, so at least I knew I'd have to sign for it and was prepared for that.) Just a thick little brown paper envelope, which I tore open in record time, anticipating what I would find.
And boy was I disappointed--what I had ordered was a 25-pack of Perc 10's, and that's what I expected to find. Instead I got 25 badly-pressed Perc replicas, many with slightly crumbling edges, 'PERCOCET' on one side in the wrong font badly pressed into the face of the pill, the other side with a ten that was comprised of a straight line for the '1', and a squared-off zero instead of the rounded zero that should've been there. They were on the thin side, and were a more pale yellow than legit Percs, the color on these varied a bit from pill to pill.
I was upset already that these things were presses and not authentic meds, and a bit more upset when I saw the press quality, so I was really hoping that they at least worked. Nope. I started off by biting a piece of one off, and it was sorta crunchy, but without hardly any taste at all. There might have been just a slight slight sweetness, but they tasted nothing like Percs.
I continued to hold out hope that they at least contained some oxycodone, but felt my heart sinking as I did one, then two, then eventually 5 pills in succession with maybe 10-15 minutes between (I know, that was really stupid of me, I think I was acting more out of frustration than anything at this point.) Absolutely no effects whatsoever, and I've got no opiate tolerance. Because I didn't want these pills just sitting around the house for my non-pill-enthusiast girlfriend to find, and I sure as hell wasn't gonna take these things, I flushed the remainder.
I messaged IdealPills to explain what happened, and he asked me to take a picture of the pills so he could let his shipper know about the 'bad batch', so I told him that I had flushed them. I asked for a refund (even offered to take just a partial refund), which he refused, saying that refunds 'aren't part of his business policy'. This despite the fact that nowhere on his vendor profile can you see any of his policies on anything, let alone refunds--the only thing on his profile whatsoever is his PGP key....that's literally the only thing on his profile at all. The only thing he would offer to make this situation right was to say he would send me Codeine 30's as a replacement for the 'bad batch' of Percs. I told him I wasn't interested in that--why in the hell would I want more bad product to replace the bad product I had already received, and have to wait two more weeks (all I said to him though was that I just wanted a refund.)
He still refuses to refund me my money, so now I have to wait for Oasis to make a ruling--they've already indicated that since this was my first order, and the vendor was tagged a 'Trusted Vendor' (though he only has eight total orders on Oasis, and only 4 positive reviews, none of which are the same product as mine,) they're gonna wait and give him time to respond.
I looked IdealPills up on Grams, and he shows up there many times from several other markets where customers have said the same thing about him, that he shipped them the wrong product or fake product. Oasis has even acknowledged this, saying that it's the same vendor, and that he has a majority of positive reviews, which confused me considering the many complaints others have made about him.
Does anybody else have similar experiences to this, either with this vendor, or dealing with Oasis' dispute process? Since this is the first time I've had to dispute an order, I'm wondering how things are gonna shake out
Hello,
Next time, take some pictures to avoid delays like these.
Anyway, as you can see, we are trying to find a friendly solution for everyone, like a partial refund. Don't worry, you won't lose your money.
