Forged rail tickets sold on 'dark web', BBC investigation reveals

Forged rail tickets are being sold on a hidden part of the internet and used at stations without detection, an undercover BBC investigation has found.

They can be bought for a fraction of the genuine fare on the "dark web", using virtual currency Bitcoin.

BBC South East bought a first class fare from Hastings to Manchester, and a monthly ticket between Gatwick and London, using them without problems.

Having visited NYC and used it's metro system, a USA based vendor would be quite nice convenient. Any known ones?

I initially read this as 'BBMC investigation'. Thought he may be branching out a bit. Disappointed.

He needs to star in a series of detective novels.

I think here in the states Amtrak scans their tickets before handing them back once on the train. Its been years so I cant remember bc I was usually hammered when I got on lol. Metrolink, however, just checks your ticket. No scanning.
