What's wrong with this community?

Yesterday I corrected /u/whereismyweeeed over on this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/DarkNetMarkets/comments/2qb7qx/cannaxpress000_order_cancelled_eight_days_after/

He was clearly wrong, and it sucks that he was bad mouthing a vendor because of his own mistakes. All of my comments were downvoted into oblivion. Bunch of jerks... the only other one that spoke up was /u/jadedsynk. Thanks for that. As usual /u/fuuuuckckckckck showed up to put his worthless two cents in.

I thought the point of this community was to help each other find useful, truthful information about DNM related stuff not a bunch of false, inflammatory bullshit. I do not care who the vendor is... I knew I was right, so why did my comments get buried? I know others, probably including some mods, are familiar with CX000 and knew this guy was wrong. All in all, I guess it just doesn't really matter that much, but I am just hoping other users were too busy with holiday stuff to comment. When someone is obviously making a mistake they need to be corrected.

User fuuckckckc is a classic shitrat, have dealt with him in the past

I think this is just what happens as a subreddit gets larger.

Believe me, I wish this place could be like it was when it was only like 10,000 subscribers. But its not so we have to deal with the couple of assholes that make everything around them shit.

Use the report button, message the mods, downvote and upvote as much as possible, and most importantly develop a thick skin. If you think you're right then just ignore the score your comment gets or the people that respond to it calling you a moron. That goes for pretty much all of Reddit.

I'm not sure what we as mods can do about it. We can get really strict and start modding like /r/AskScience or /r/AskHistorians, I'm not sure how everyone would feel about that though.

I think the most effective way to make a "toxic" community better is just for the people in that community to start policing themselves. Downvote trolls and ignore them, upvote things you want to see more of. That sounds a lot easier than it is though.

Saw it yesterday already.

98% didn't understand what really was the problem there, and you got downvoted and called a 'fucking moron' for trying to explain it to him/them.

It's a shame people just read things without thinking over them twice, e.g. what the Evo FE-policy-change had to do with his order being marked shipped without being shipped.

[9 Points] TypicalSnake:

Man I've used canna before and he's solid but I see a lot of reports of him fucking up too. There's no need for you to repeatedly make posts white knighting him. If you look at your history that's all you've done the past couple days lol

Reddit users are sheep. They will downvote based on what has downvotes and what has upvotes.

With that in mind, speak your mind and say what needs to be said. Just because it's downvoted doesn't mean it's wrong.

[4 Points] Ereeert:

/u/fuuuuckckckckck is just another angry troll that contributes nothing to the community. Mods could ban him but he would more than likely come back as /u/fuuuuckckckckckck. He is the literally the scourge of /r/darknetmarkets.

I have a feeling most of this community are teenagers.

[3 Points] reekleek:

Nothing. We are anonymous and on the internet, this gets asked in every subreddit. You expect the internet to behave?

[3 Points] galmse:

The fact that people think this is a community is the #1 thing wrong with this community.

Sometimes you have to put on your tinfoil hat and wonder if the vote brigades, and even some of the posts/comments themselves, are coming from competing vendors.

[2 Points] None:

You need to have some thicker skin bro. Have you ever played xbox and had everybody calling you the N word or calling you gay? It's what we used to call telephone tough guys. The Internet is full of people that sound tough and are always right. I still don't see the issue here if a vendor changed his profile to FE I wouldn't assume prior orders would have to deal with that. Anyways it seems like the vendor admitted to that also so why the need to drag this out.

[2 Points] D4FTPUNKF4N:

I feel that 20% of people on every subreddit is like that. It is really interesting to see, what you posted, that you thought for sure would get a lot upvotes, would get demolished by some people. You get a chance to see the logic that some people bring to the table. Plus, when you argue with them they become popular like that fuckckckck guy. Eventually that name becomes so famous that hopefully many see it and start giving that person more shit for giving shit. Reddit used to be amazing like three years ago but it got too popular and now the facebook scumbags have found it.

This thread had me cracking up. Thank you for the blunt honesty.

Look Canna telling you "out of outdoor" was shitty, but I can 100% tell you WITHOUT A DOUBT that all of his listings were FE on December 8th. I too ordered on December 8th, and before I did I had a giant crisis about FE-ing because normally I never do, but I love Canna's speed and price. I went through every damn listing looking for ONE that still wasn't FE and couldn't find one.

It has also said FE only on his profile since the end of November. Not tryna be a little shit, but you're supposed to read the vendor's profile. Sometimes they have very specific information on there like "FE only or I will cancel your order without warning" or "put your address in this form or I will cancel your order without warning".

I don't know why he said "out of outdoor", but his profile specifically says he owes you no explanation if he cancels your order for not FE-ing. Maybe he cancelled more than one order and put the wrong message to you, but you're lucky you got a message at all.

I upvoted ur posts /u/dnmavenger in the canna thread.. It was pointless to try and back you up through words though, the groupthink going on was too strong. That thread was an embarrassment to all mankind; just know youre not alone when trying to be the voice of reason.

[1 Points] R4ID:

to put it simply, the blind majority are idiots on here, just like the majority of people you will meet in life. there are a few people who help the community and pretty much go out of their way to attempt to build a "community" feeling of sort. just keep at it and eventually the trolls and idiots will be outnumbered be educated people. half my shit gets downvoted into oblivion, even tho my stance may seem blunt or offensive, it is direct and is the answer.

[1 Points] fedup67:

It's the nature of the interwebz these daze with the younguns taking a trip on the good ole' adrenaline-macho-chest-pounding Neanderthal antics for 'interwebz ego-rubbing points'. Ignore them and they flock the the next nearest pit of attention. I ignore all the bs/drama and it has never bothered me. Everyone's just trying to get by, and if you thought about it objectively, you'd notice that it's all just BULLSHIT that's best ignored. No one knows shit about you for their opinions to have any more weight than faeces covered turds.

On top of that, it can be rather entertaining to watch the daily soap operas here.

[1 Points] throwahooawayyfoe:

i noticed last night that somebody was going through my comment history and systematically downvoting every single thing i've said in like the past week.

whoever you are... i call you a douchenugget.

What do you MEAN "this community"?

[1 Points] Tracsh:

Patrick Swaye left this place because it is going downhill. I'm surprised the mods have not deleted your post haha.

Wow! I can't believe you made a soppy thread about this. How can you say /u/whereismyweeeed was in the wrong when /u/cannaxpress000 HIMSELF posted in the thread, apologizing for his terrible customer service! Here is some useful, truthful information for you:

I am sorry for the terrible customer service and the inconvenience this has caused. I should not have cancelled your order but instead, shipped what we had in stock... I cancelled the order because you did not finalize it, I know I did not tell you to finalize it so it is not your fault. I usually go through my order and ones that I have not shipped yet and are not finalized got cancelled because it was such an old order.

You are clearly wrong.
