I refuse to use it at all. I know people will disagree with me and they have the right to do so, but here is why I will not use the site:

  1. Complete lack of escrow. No protection available, always a risk that you'll get scammed. Plus the admins are still making BANK from commission and I feel like they're not doing much to earn it. No escrow means no order disputes, which takes a way a ton of work that most admins do every day.

  2. How the fuck can anyone not consider the site compromised? Ross Ulbricht is arrested, and it is soon revealed that he knew intimate details about the rest of the moderators of the site. In winter, three of the moderators were arrested. And there's really a question of whether or not LE has their hands all up in this market?

  3. The "hack". Whether it was real or an inside job, it doesn't look good either way, because the only explanations are either incompetent security or lying mods. You choose. And don't give me any of that "but they paid everyone back" bullshit. So you're gonna thank and give credit to a site because they lost/stole your money and paid you back?

I'm sketched out about it still. There are several other options that are a lot more secure and filled with the top vendors, though. Even if I wasn't worried about its past I'd be using other sites since those are where the good dealers are.

I'm sure there are countless successful transactions doing down over there still every day. It's too unstable for my tastes, and I'm not talking about the agora instability, the downtime. In taking about withdrawal and deposit issues, cuts from deals, drama, facade of ideology.

SR2 is slowly but steadily going down the toilet. And the staff knows it.

You can bet that when it's taken down (and it's only a matter of time), it will be revealed that one of the higher-ups was an undercover informant. I don't know whether it will be a moderator, "DPR2", or even Defcon himself, but just wait. The whole site, from its origin, through the hack, through the current scammer-infested cesspool, is sketchy as fuck.
