I feel bad for all the bitblender users that lost coins. Please check out helix. Grams takes security seriously and Helix always gives you brand new coins, rather than just mixing dirty coins together. I have lowered our fee to 1.5% for today only to help bitblender users try out our services. Please check out http://grams7enufi7jmdl.onion/helix/info for all the different helix options. It may say "3%" on some copy but starting now until the end of the day I assure it is 1.5%

That's why I don't tumble.

"Hacked"

I am slightly shocked that people are still buying this excuse, especially in this community.

[18 Points] darknetsolutions:

Helix people, use Helix.

[12 Points] gramssupport:

Hello,

it's another bad day for our community. Another good service gone and a lot of people lost their money again.

But there is no need to afraid of use another mixing services. Security is most important thing for us and Helix always gives you new coins, never used on DN. Helix has never been compromised and is running as like clock work, so we invite bitblender customers to check out our services. Our fee is lowered to 1.5% for today only to help bitblender users try out our services. You can also choose HelixLight, biggest feature is you don't need a Grams account.

I was just reading a post on the SR2 onion forum made by the creator of bitblender. He was advertising his site and giving everyone step by step instructions on how to use their service. He just made that post early this morning with a bunch of respected forum members backing him up. So weird...

People still tumble? Cute.

Jesus when are these marketplaces going to start using DARKCOIN and/or MONERO. Tumblers can and will steal your money - stop using bitcoin and upgrade already!

[3 Points] charlesbukowksi:

This is why we need to switch to something like Darkcoin. Instant anonymous transactions. No more waiting for confirmations or worrying about FakeIDs when using exchanges.

Shit, I was unable to load BitBlender and got really frustrated because it's the only tumbling service I've used and I wanted to place an order. So I just went to the sidebar and opted for Bitcoin Fog, which was painfully slow in comparison. Slow enough that I got a bit concerned, came here and did a search, and all the negative stories had me freaked out until my coins finally showed up this afternoon. So I feel terrible for those who lost their coins, but extra relieved I came out unscathed.

By searching I also became aware of how many here think tumbling is just a waste for users like me. Now I see people touting Helix, but I feel like I saw similar confidence in Bitcoin Blender before. Once more for the record: for a small order (<$200) non-vendor on DNMs, is there an argument for tumbling (usually from Coinbase) that outweighs the negatives of: fees; security risk; and the additional waiting period?

[3 Points] tia999:

just want to chime in here. as much as you'd like to think it was an inside job, i can tell you that the site was 100% hackable. a while back i was playing around with it and actually got back some sql data. i have a very good job in the valley and didn't take it any further, but it wasn't as secure as it could be by a long shot. and i don't even specialize in sql. just my opinion, but i have little doubt the hack was legit.

[3 Points] splawik21:

how much time has ot pass before people will start to use darkocin insted of centralised bitcoins mixers?

[2 Points] tyrionbaggins:

Damn. I had coins go through them just hours before they went down. I really dodged a bullet, and it sucks to know a lot of people did not. He says he will try to pay everyone back, but I highly doubt that will be possible.

[2 Points] r3ptarr:

good thing I emptied out last week.

[2 Points] CHNO28:

Thank fucking god I decided to transfer to a blockchain instead of leaving them in there. I was debating a couple days.

[1 Points] DicksWillBeFucked:

You knock down one service, you create more services that are better and stronger. This shit does suck though :/

[1 Points] agorathrow8080:

Weird this...and evo having so many issues. Hope its not connected

[1 Points] wo_man:

haha! wow, I had to get on VPN real quick just to post this. I was using bitblender for a little over 6 months. I never trusted bitcoin-fog so i wasn't really tumbling but was making small purchases anyway. When i saw bitblender pop up, i decided to talk to the admin and after speaking with him i felt comfortable using the service. I used them for the last time two weeks ago because i saw a post last month about them having issues, some complaints here and there from different people. After using them for 6+ months and them having really no issues i started to get a fishy feeling.

i decided to try Helix light because i know about grams. great dude, and helps the community. Luckily i choose Helix at the right time, used them last week and more to come. very fast and reliable. In this DNM you always gotta stay aware on what's going on. have some sort of an idea, luckily i caught those complaints a few months ago and gave me the feeling to move on.

wo_man out!

is their anyone left to trust these days?

[1 Points] None:

Just thought I would add this to the discussion because there seems to be a lot of questions and comments about whether or not small time buyers get into trouble for just personal use purchases: http://www.reddit.com/r/DarkNetMarkets/comments/2gwej3/true_cases_of_small_time_buyers_being_arrested/ I started it myself to gather info., there is not a lot of talk about tumbling in the post, but I think it does help the argument that small time buyers are rarely, if ever targeted by LE.

[1 Points] bitblender:

The site was hacked.

But I have fixed the issue and its up and running again, I have put my backup bitcoins in Blender so that we have bitcoins for mixing again, deposits and withdraws working.

Regards, Bitblender
