Postage marks uk missing

Anyone had a letter before that didn't have a postage mark. Delivered by royal mail in my hand aswell.

Yeah, this is reasonably common. i've head several "normal" letters, as well as DNM parcels without any post mark on them.

Happens to me with USPS fairly regularly. It's usually on priority packages that the stamp doesn't get cancelled. My guess is it's because it wouldn't go through the automatic sorter for one reason or another to get cancelled automatically and nobody saw it to hand-cancel it.

Very common. Especially when going through busy sorting offices in big cities e.g. London, Birmingham but even happens in smaller towns too.
