Open letter to the feds: Thank you

Thank you for taking away our markets where we were able to safely indulge in our addictions through reviews and purity tests done by our peers.

Thank you for not caring about us, the people you're meant to serve, and only caring for newsworthy takedowns of DNMs for more grant money. Seriously, wanna help us? Watch this video on addiction https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ao8L-0nSYzg Get people to stop using drugs and stop isolating ones that do to get them off it for good. Kill the demand, not the supply, but you guys already knew that. Unfortunately, there's no cash in that.

Thank you for stating that we're never truly anonymous, chipping away further at our illusion of freedom.

And a special thanks to the DEA who played a huge role in these takedowns, the same agency still trying to make Kratom illegal federally. I'd blame it on poor research, but we all know it's because Kratom threatens pharma companies that produce opioids. Isn't lobbying great?

There are indeed some advantages:
1) This will speed up the development of truly anonymous, decentralized, and secure markets
2) It will put the administration of those markets in the hands of more competent people, and not retards who write diaries, use their hotmail account, and collect lambos at the age of 25.
3) It's good for the crypto currency landscape.

So, after all, this whole drama is good if you like live in the future earlier.

The only thing I want to know is how many of the fed's shitposts did I kek at?

[35 Points] GhostInPlainSight:

Feds only follow orders, blame the politicians. If feds had free range all markets would close within a month of opening.

When I heard these words from sessions mouth it kind of clicked. There is no free trade. There is no privacy. There is only money and the people that have it are ready to do anything to keep it.

DEA acting like they are great. meanwhile they get caught in colombia partying with cartels and doing blow. Fucking joke.

The war on drugs has no intention of stopping the drug trade.

It's a way for people to get rich. They'll string it out as long as they can make money and get funding. Enjoy that drink you have after work today pigs. Your legal drugs are not better or worse than the illegal ones.

This is why I have so much hate for LEO and the politician scum. It's not just about the money, many people are getting sick as we speak and many are at risk of being injured or dying because of this shit. I have many customers who depend on my product to get by on hard times.

I doubt big pharma gives a shit about kratom. Kratom sales were estimated at $1.13 billion last year worldwide(impressive). Pharma opiate sales were $24 billion.

The problem is they aren't exactly competing products and I have serious doubts that an increase in kratom sales would make much of any dent in the prescription opiate market.. It's not like tons of doctors are recommending kratom for anything, so it won't supplant the legitimate opiod patients. The doctor shoppers and pill mills are going to keep existing.

Users that will choke down a glass full of gritty silt to feel good, or take 40 00 gelcaps aren't usually connected or wealthy enough to afford street opiates. I know other people use the stuff in different ways, I'm not arguing against it's use, but scheduling it is entirely consistent with the DEA's behavior since designer drugs hit the media.

I think the DEA has honest motives here. It's an addictive opiod, being sold in headshops everywhere and can and does lead to harder addictions. It's also become much more widespread, evidenced by a billion in sales.

Again I don't agree with banning any substances, just pointing out that big pharma isn't fretting over a tiny amount of users they might lose to kratom.
