PGP on mobile

To me it seems it would be extremely easy to make 'GPG keychain' app so we can import and export keys, then highlight the encrypted text and decrypt it with the appropriate keys.

Why is this not a thing?! is it harder than i am realizing or is there some further explanation as to why it is not yet on the market. As far as i know the 'security' messaging apps dont offer any more protection than if me and the person i was communicating with used imessaging and both deleted the messages

Whats the /DNM input on this?

Strictly for experimental purposes, and then convenience for insensitive things, I downloaded 'Openkeychain' from the google playstore. This was after disappointment with the UI of several other apps providing the same service. There are multiple apps providing this utility, But I dont trust any of them for sensitive communication. Neat proof of concepts though.

I dont understand why others are meant to do this research for you. It is literally as simple as searching 'PGP key' or anything similar on the google play store. Download a couple and try them out. Just don't expect true privacy or security from anything provided by or curated by google.

This already exists for iPhones. There's OpenPg and iPgpMail. You can create keys with iPgMail and store and Import keys/decrypt with OpenGp. Also there's a "red onion browser" for iPhones too. It works perfect but I'm not suggesting it.
