What movie stereotypes revolving around drugs make you cringe?
[showerthought] When people in movies stick their finger in an unidentified white powder and taste it to see if it's cocaine, that substance being LSD every now and then would spice things up.

Some OPs mom allegedly did this because the cops on TV do this. It was Etizolam or something like this.

I had a border patrol agent on the mexican border stick their finger in an unidentified brown powder in my carpet in my car once to check if it was heroin. It was unsweetened baking cocoa. Lol.

In prison inmates will leave drain cleaner in a baggie just for this reason.

Doesn't make me cringe as such, but in Requiem for a Dream isn't Jared Leto's character doing heroin? But his eyes dilate during the drug taking sequences.

I acidentally inhaled LSD crystal a few days ago. AMA.
That said, it was under 100 micrograms of it. I need a respirator.

Haha was watching Narcos last night and saw that and first thing I thought of was the post this was reposted of, or maybe it was askreddit but it's funny they still do it!

Why does everyone in movies know what cocaine tastes like....?

Yup, this has happened (but not to cops) - http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1129381/?page=1.

I had a friend who did the finger taste test once with a research chemical thinking it was coke. I don't remember the chemical but I do remember the normal dose was a few granules of powder. Our friend spent 5 days straight on a couch tripping his balls off.

Throw in some China White and you got a party.

Sounds like something the director of The Nice Guys would do.
[1 Points] DiethylamideProphet:
That would make a cool scene to a silly cop comedy.

make it fentanyl or carfentanil

People think that "Breaking Bad" is factual, but it's fictional. Walter White does not, and never has, existed.

If it were a brick of crystal then a kilo of acid is roughly 10* million 100ug hits, more realistically a line of it would still be worth probably on the order of thousands of dollars

This needs to go in the sub shower thoughts and is one of the best Shower thoughts I've read in awhile.
