I'm on vacation and have come across a decent amount of fun stuff. I'm flying home in a few days but would like to ship some fun stuff home as opposed to taking it on the plane. I'm wondering the risks involved with domestically shipping prescription pills (that "expired" over ten years ago), and what the best way to do it is. So far I've read:
use a false name/return address use gloves hide it well (duh) and ship first class using ups/fedex.
I was thinking about ziploc bagging it and putting it in a bottle of shampoo or something like that.
Thank you for taking the time to read my post and letting me be a part of this awesome community!
You're fine taking it on the airplane. I've travelled a ton through many different airports carrying a shitload of pills and not once have I been asked about it. Send it thru X-ray and its fine. Even the times they opened my bag because I forgot about a lighter they don't give the pills a second thought. Especially domestically. You'll be perfectly fine going thru an airport. Mailing it is a completely different story.
The only time I was taken aside and someone said something was traveling internationally in Germany. They just said "you are carrying a lot of pills" and That was it. They don't care about pills.
Just for info I was carrying a lot of Vicodin and ambien amongst other vitamins and prescription pills. My standard travel kit. Lol
