Is washing bitcoins 100% necessary?

Is completely necessary to wash bitcoins for personal amounts of product? Or would it be fine to just put them straight into a wallet

Exchange > Tails Electrum > Market. Been doing it for years no problem. Never more than 1000$ at a time though. I don't resell.

Buy Ethereum and use shapeshift.io to change to mixed BTC.

Is it necessary to be anonymous?

Depends which market you use, i know AB tumbles your coins for you when you send your coin to their market wallet

I asked a very similar question not long ago and it turned into quite a discussion with some good information, including methods to "self tumble" from /u/Anti-Hero_AU, /u/IHeartTheDN. I'm still not sure why I got downvoted on that post for asking. Oh well.

Anyway, it depends a lot on what exchange you're getting your coins from, but if it's one of the online instant coin exchanges (Circle, Coinbase, etc.) they seem to be cracking down pretty hard. Sending your coin to multiple wallets before sending to a market does not prevent you from getting banned it seems. I never tumbled in the past and was fine, but I think from now on I'm going to, as I really don't want to lose Circle as my source of easy and cheap coin.

This topic interests me a lot, and I'd also love to hear more info from experienced users who have been banned as well as those who don't tumble and haven't been banned.

I still think using LBC is s better option (slower process I grant you , but the extra anonymity is worth it ) Circle & Coinbase have their uses for legitimate btc use.
