I placed this in the agora thread, maybe other people not buying there need to know this to:
for everyone who ordered from germany, litle update on the strike of deutsche post: 25 000 employees on strike. Deutsche Post is now using officials, volunteers and interims (don't know the exact translation of the last word) to get the mail going. Deutsche post now sends around 80% of all packages on time, the other hae a delay around 2-3 working days (THIS COUNTS FOR POSTING TO NETHERLANDS, so when you've ordered from US for example, expect more delay) So despite the fact it is pretty safe to order fro germany, don't do it if you expect your package asap.
Share your experiences about the strike!
Hey, you could call me a expert on the topic of these strikes (For I'm in direct contact with ver.di the union that caused them)
I first want to say that the 2-3 Days and 80% are complete and utter bullshit. There are domestic orders here that didn't move for as long as 21days. For anyone who wants proof of this I recommend keeping an eye on the german DarkNet Communitys (can share onion links via PM if necessary(obviously german language skills necessary))
Second I want to say that this WILL NOT stop in the near future. The strikes will get even more brutal in the next 2 weeks due to another german logistics union chiming into the strike 2 days ago. But I'm rather sure that after 2 more weeks the strike is likely to end for political reasons.
Third I want to notice that there is a way to check if your vendor is affected by the strikes. If you know the Postal Code on the packages you received you can enter it here https://www.deutschepost.de/de/s/streikinfos.html to check it (if people want I can explain how to do it for English speakers)
Oh and also, feel free to be pissed. The strike is not justified.
ps: don't judge my shitty OpSec :O
