In the words of the Real DPR

With the one year anniversary of the shuttering of SR1 and the Ross Ulbricht trial approaching in November I have been getting sentimental and teary eyed.

Today I reread this piece that was submitted to a paper in Ross' hometown - this essay has since been attributed to Ross as the actual author. It is cool to see him in shill mode where he is able to address issues that could not be addressed directly as the Dread Pirate Roberts.

Hope some have never seen this and enjoy:

It wasn't. I spoke with the Austincut guy who edited the article, and while they didn't have the original submission, they were able to tell me that the anonymous submission was composed of mostly the intro and ending, and they did the work to research and write all the rest. Since the opening talks about ordering heroin, while the only drugs Ulbricht used personally seems to've been marijuana (obviously) and psilocybin (the mushrooms he grew to help jumpstart SR1 by selling), I think we can reject the Ulbricht authorship theory.
