So do we invest now is the real question

It is a no brainer. If you are still using centralized mixing services to tumble your coins, you still leave a lot of trace for LE to find and hop onto. Especially for cashing out your coins.

With Monero and its protocol level privacy, there is absolutely no taint on your coins as long as you remember to shuffle it just once with a Monero wallet.

I will be using a lot of Monero's to cash out. Already 'washed' over 4 BTC since the last few days and not only have I removed all DNM taint from the coins, I've made a nice profit of 0.2 btc thanks to all the price fluctuation and selling at the right time. Go Monero!

I may try it when they have a wallet GUI that's as easy as Electrum.

Please read the last paragraph of this article

"Even in a scenario where Monero gains traction on the dark web, it's unclear if that would be enough for it to become a preferred store of value. Bitcoin still has a much longer track record and a much more liquid market, so it's possible that darknet market customers and vendors will use Monero as an appcoin more than anything else, even if moving in and out of the Monero system would harm their privacy."

That article was clearly well researched, I think the conclusions at the end were pretty fair
