I've always read post about these and shake my head at the thought of someone letting this ever happening.
I used lbc for the first time today in the middle of an extremely hectic day. I ran into a bunch of issues in the process but finally got the coins.
I delete my wallet and create a new one after every deposit/withdrawl. I also use a very random and long passphrase and store it in a encrypted file. I always create a wallet the day I use it but I had created this one a week ago and hadn't touched it. Without really thinking I transferred the funds into the wallet and immediately got a spidey sense feeling. I checked my password and sure enough it was invalid. I think I forgot to save it after adding the password even though I saved the seed. I remember adding it but not being too concerned once I realized I wasn't actually depositing coins that day.
RIP $1400. Not even a month after I lost almost the same amount to drowsyrabbit.
Wait. So you saved the seed? If you don't have the password but have the seed, you're golden. Just RESTORE the wallet with the seed, you'll be asked to create a password (optional) and then you'll have access to the bitcoins. That's the beauty of HD wallets like Electrum. Let us know what happens.
