[GeneralQuestions] Treating my 16 year old cat with cannabis tincture?

So my Old girl has what the vets say to be a tumor, though its not confirmed, just based on symptoms. She has had seizures(been well over a month since the last one) and sometimes cant keep her food down. Id like to treat her with a tincture rather then letting the vet dope her up. I just don't know the best way to give it to her. Should I drop it onto her food or just right into her mouth?

My cat used to get right in my face when I was smoking weed, to blow the smoke on him.

He lived til 18, which is very old for a cat.

Once, he knocked over a funnel with crystal meth in water, and walked through it. You know how cats clean themselves?

He tried to have sex with a white towel, themn wanted to go out. He sat watching the gap under my garden gate for 12 hours, for other cats going by.

Then he was really hungry and sleepy.

Use catnip, it'll make your cat happier. My friends cat who was dying was brought some catnip, he was more active than he had been in months.

No no no. Ask the vet for some prescription A/D. If they do not have that, go around and ask other clinic if they carry it and if you can pick up a few cans. Weed can be a horrible experience for animals. It may be too much stress for a cat that is already that old and unhealthy.

hope this works!

You can also try mixing the oil in with some warm milk. The fattier the better (think: whole milk). You could also mix it in with wet food.

It works . . . or at least seems to. My buddies dog recently passed away from cancer. The only thing that seemed to help was giving him a small amount of an edible. The dog clearly felt better and was able to get up and eat, drink, and make it outside to use the bathroom.

I would either mix in some super stinky cheap canned cat food, or just direct in the mouth. I would also google the heck out of it and try to see if you can get any info on dosing, which to use(high cbd?) and such..good luck. Hope the kitteh feels better asap!

Is it a glycerin tincture or an alcohol tincture? If the latter you are going to have problems getting the cat to eat it out of any food and will have to orally administer. If it is a glycerin-based tincture you can put it in or on some food fairly easily.

This should make this months "top 10 DNM posts" and we should really start one of those while I'm thinking about it.. Poor kitty.. I used to have friends get all drunk and "smoke out the dog" and stuff and always wondered if that really worked by second hand inhalation.. Prayers for your pussy, man. I would also like to bring up a good point: We definitely need more studies regarding THc and the effects on our pooches and furballs. I'm being serious. There really might be medicinal properties to this stuff like there are for humans. Hell, when I was in radiology school and worked at a vets office, we used the exact same stuff that I used later on in the hospital and physicians offices. I think you are on to something my friend and kudos to you for caring for your sick kitty.
