Rate the seller.... or Rate the product?

I have noticed a trend more and more that vendors are asking people to contact them before making a review to keep their scores high.

What is the point of a review if you aren't going to be honest about your experience?

I am seeing a lot of really really bad product getting 5/5 star reviews and it's really pissing me off.

I use reviews to make an informed decision. If I see a wall of 5/5's I assume it's a good product. I have been SOOO let down it's unbelievable.

I mean, this is a 25+ reviewed 5/5 "winterized hash oil extract" : http://i.imgur.com/uSCesYh.jpg

Like smoking burnt black tar extract of arsehole. Disgusting. What is wrong with people?

I contacted the vendor and he was awesome, trying to bend over backwards not to get a low rating. But why? It's fucking disgusting. You sent me a shit product and then want to do what? Send me something else to make me give you a 5/5?

Do you really deserve to get a 5/5 for shipping such disgusting shite?

lol what was the add like where you got that "product" from?

If Santa forgot to bring you coal for your stocking- here is your chance to buy it before New Years!

Depends on the product, I buy a lot of opiate pills so for me there is no range, it's 0/5 fake & pressed or 5/5 real pharmacy dispensed pill. Maybe a 4/5 would be a broken pill but there isn't much leeway in pharmaceuticals.

The reason I think top vendors will ask you to contact them before a bad review is so they have a chance to right the wrong where there could be a legit oversight and not just a bait and switch. Personally, if I had an issue I'd go through the vendor before review, but my review would still contain the issue and what he did to resolve it. If those bad-but-rectified reviews start becoming normal for a vendor, I would start to question his practices and obviously not use them

Never buy oil off the DNMs without seeing actual pictures of the product you will receive. Whether through reddit reviews with pictures, or contacting the vendor to see if the product image is the product you will receive. Sorry to see you got some butane filled trim run poop man, stick to the reddit reviews with pix.

I agree. Specially with bud. Vendors love their A+++ ratings when not even a % are A+++. I also can't stand when someone leaves feedback and puts 5 stars because there was no smell or arrived in 2 days etc without any mention of the product.

both the seller and product are important. honestly product more so, but there are good and bad vendors in this world, with or without good product

[2 Points] honestbarspx1:

imo rate both, but before reviewing find out if the vendor will fix any error if there is one. that way you can rate the entire experience and not just the bad if there is issues

Yeah, I don't really trust market reviews whatsoever. Reddit reviews are much better in my opinion to go off of.

Can't recall ever having seen a vendor request this. Although, most vendors who give at least 1/2 a fuck will ask that you contact them before leaving less than a 5/5 review, so they have the opportunity to hear the customer's compaint(s) and try and make them happy, so that they will return. This is called good customer service, and frankly, good business.

Meh. Do better, more through research, rather than completely relying on market feedback that could, and in most cases probably is, padded by the vendor himself. Visit the market forums, The Hub, and/or make inquiries on this subreddit. Even then, you're essentially rolling the dice. We're talking about drug dealers, after all. If you're unhappy with his services, leave a 4/5, and don't use that vendor again.

I contacted the vendor and he was awesome, trying to bend over backwards not to get a low rating. But why? It's fucking disgusting.

Ok, so you made a less than informed decision and were unhappy with the product you received. I mean, did the picture of the WHO on the vendor's listing completely misrepresent the product? Did the price of the product reflect it's quality? My experience, even on the DNMs, has been that you tend to get what you pay for...

After all this, the vendor "was awesome" and "bent over backwards" to be accommodating and satisfy an unhappy customer - yet you're MAD?!? Do you not understand that vendors live and die based on their rating, reviews, and reputation? In addition, he offered to send you another product to make up for the one you found unacceptable, and you're even outraged by this? Seriously?!? Fuck's the matter with you?

Sorry dude, but you're the asshole in this situation. Sounds like the vendor did everything in his power to make you happy, but you're clearly hell bent on leaving him a less than stellar review regardless. Ignorant, bitchy, impossible-to-please customers like you are the reason good, honest vendors eventually get fed up, decide to say "Fuck It" and end up pulling an exit scam.

Jesus, it's no wonder the markets are in such a pathetic state... Maybe you should go buy your shit on the streets, and see how many dealers "bend over backwards" to ensure you're happiness hahaha.

Sorry kid, this isn't Amazon. Entitlement Fucking Denied.

I agree

[1 Points] houseblender:

I would say the point is to contact them first if there is an issue, so that they can remedy it as best they can. that way a review can include the entire situation assuming they do fix the error

Shipping times are important to customers in choosing between vendors.

Why don't markets have an "average shipping time" rating for vendors?

[1 Points] fantasticnameuser:

I buy the smallest amount I can from a vendor to make my decision. If they do well, I'll make a bit bigger one, and so on. Review mean nothing to me, there is no credibility here on the DNMs, and why should there be? It's a place to buy illegal drugs after all, there is nobody who cares to enforce honesty
