Priority stamps versus bitcoin-purchased mailing labels

What are your guys' thoughts on using priority stamps? You can buy them with cash and it's much simpler than anonymously getting your shipping labels paid for. By far most of the packs I've received had labels, though, I've only ever gotten a few with stamps. Why do you think this is?

Priority Stamps = Sketch

Bitcoin prepaid label = looks legit, less likely to be profiled. I saw a "things to be on the lookout for!" sheet for USPS employees and it basically said that drug dealers won't use labels because they can be tracked back to them. And that they need to be on the lookout for stamps and priority stamps as that's what dealers/vendors are using to mail drugs.

I'm sure that will change, but I'm glad every one of my vendors uses prepaid labels.

Well, I'll give my own personal thoughts on this as a vendor: Yes, you can buy stamps. Some will argue that it looks shady since legit businesses don't go this route and individuals will show-up and have postage applied at the PO. Here's the 'con' on that: POs are a bit stingy and only like to sell a small handful of the things. This represents a bit of a logistical problem for any sizable amount of parcels. But it's feasible.

Anonymously acquiring labels really is shady and comes with the risks you might expect. But it's also feasible.

Showing-up at a PO to pay for postage and have it applied (like any legit person would do--hiding in plain sight), with 10-30yrs of jail time under your arms, takes cajones grande. And it's feasible.

A good strategy involves a rotating mix of methods. It would help if you provided the 'perspective' for the questions you're asking.

Once they have set up their shipping operation it is just easier and much better OpSec I would think. They just input the address, print it on a label making printer, stick it, and ship it.

Stamps have more OpSec flaws than just having to be purchased in person. Someone, no matter how well disguised, is purchasing them on camera. LE, if investigating, would know exactly which post office the vendor gets his stamps boxes from. The biggest flaw though, in my opinion, is that the stamps boxes are all unique. If stamp box number (for example) 100 is seized and drugs found it is easier for LE to track down stampbox 101, 102, etc and inspect those packs closely.

edited for correctness

bitcoin purchased is better
there's no really viable way to get stamps consistently and anonymously imo
and even if there is, it still ain't worth it

Other people summarized it well.

I used to sell a lot of research chemicals on EVO.

I would use 1 stamp and a small bubble envelope for small orders. Looked very inconspicuous.

But the Bitcoin paid labels look amazing. Blends right in with the mail stream.

Also, if you are going to use priority stamps. They have these smaller priority envelopes that are used for like first class sized mail. Not the ones with the clear face but just smaller regular envelope sized priority mailers. They fit into mailboxes and I always used those if I used priority stamps and they just seemed to look better.
