Just wondering why not fed ex?

Yeah i understand that fed ex is a privately owned company and they can pretty much open any package they want, at least that's what i've heard. But isn't the problem customs?... and every mail goes through customs doesnt matter if it is usps or ups or fed ex right? And i really doubt the drivers care much about opening packages they just focus on getting shit on time where they need to be... So after going through customs there really shouldn't be any problems. Idk i guess those are my thoughts, if anyone has any other legit info about all this i would love to hear it! Just trying to understand that for research purposes Thanks :)

It's just more risky, Fedex doesn't care about your packages as much.

[3 Points] finickybastard:

USPS is part of the government, fedex is private.

Fedex doesn't have to play by the same rules. They have inspect packages, open them etc.

USPS cares the most about just getting that pack delivered to the address on it.

[2 Points] _PrinterPam_:

USPS is a quasi-government organization, and as such all of the mail is protected under Title 18 and requires the signature of a federal judge to open/inspect. Re: Customs - Fair point; order domestically.

what’s the point? USPS is faster anyways
