Question about Canadian Love Letters...

Well, it appears that love letters are rare enough in the U.S. and other countries, and I did some digging and haven't found a post about getting love letters from Canada Post / CBSA.

Has anyone ever gotten one before? How often does it take for them arrive? I've heard that love letters usually show up a month or two later...

I've heard that CBSA simply notifies the recipient that they suspect their package contains illicit goods, and they ask for written consent to open/inspect the package. (obviously they do anyways) If you don't respond, then the mail is incinerated. I assume that won't be the case if the recipient is receiving gun parts or massive weight or something..

I got one for importing some RC's from NL that were apparently illegal in Canada. Letter came a month later, listed the substances and the amounts, said they were banned for import under some analog law, don't remember if I had the option to dispute but I wasn't going to fuck with them. Shredded the letter, never ordered to that address again. Nothing else came from it, I'd assume they destroyed the package.
