(WQOW) - The U.S. Postal Service said all of the mail aboard a semi truck was destroyed in a Tuesday morning fire.
The Wisconsin DOT said State Patrol was notified of semi fire on I-94 in St. Croix County near Hudson Tuesday morning. When officers arrived, the fire had spread to the trailer.
The U.S. Postal Service confirmed the truck was carrying USPS mail and packages. The truck was taking them from the Twin Cities distribution center to Chicago. USPS said the load consisted mainly of Priority Mail packages originating in Minnesota and western Wisconsin. It may have also contained some First-Class mail.
USPS said customers who believe they may have had packages on the truck should track their items on the USPS website. Customers can then file a claim for their loss - but not until 15 days after the date of mailing.
Anyone with questions should contact the Northland District Consumers Affairs office at (612) 349-4401.
Lmao GG to anyone who had an illegal pack on that truck.
"Uh excuse me sir I believe I had a package of cocaine on that truck, anyway I could get reimbursed for that?"
