Personally I don't think safe-mail is any more secure than gmail. Thoughts?

The US has a treaty (MLAT) with Isreal and can request information from the servers. There is some speculation that safe-mail has the ability to decrypt information without a user's key. So I assume users are already encrypting their messages. Can't they do this with Gmail? It seems a lot easier...

Why would it be secure? It's up to you to PGP it.

not sure why this would matter if everything is pgp'd?

safe-mail.net has had some problems lately. I would recommend people go elsewhere. I would not use gmail as an alternative.

It's difficult to sign up with gmail using Tor. gmail will sometimes lock your account if you use Tor to access it.

With Tor and PGP it doesn't really matter. It may be better to use a more darknet friendly service, but I bet its not by much.
