Is it a bad practice to ask the vendor about their product?

Whenever I find a deal that sounds a little good to be true, I shoot a message to them to ask them a few questions regarding their product. Questions generally like where do they get their stuff from, how often they restock and how are they able to sell it for so cheap. I tell them I don't want details, just some general information to make me comfortable ordering from them.

I've only done this 3 times. 2 of them completely ignored me and one of them told me to not worry about it and just order from him to see for myself.

I'm kind of worried that I might be coming across as a LE. I just want to know more about their product before dropping my hard earned money.

Yeah, I'm still kind of new to this DNM game but I was wondering if asking the vendors about their product is generally not a good idea because it may make me look like a LE and making the vendors not want to deal with me...

LMAO what do you want to hear? "yeah I source my shit from jeremy the guy who teaches world history at my local university here in sweden, we restock every time we run out of drugs. we sell at such a low price because we buy our stuff in bulk. do the math it works out. don't worry tho this cocaine is 100% pure it would make George Jung jealous believe me I tested it on my lab".

You just need to be casual about it. Ask them where they live to break the ice.

I am yet to ask a question about a vendors product. I research the vendor before hand. If nothing is found I will bite the bullet (it is what escrow is for after all isn't it?)

Who cares where they source, how often they restock, and how they are able to sell so cheap? You sound like you are trying to cut out the middleman or a cop (as someone else already pointed out).

I'd say ask what you want, but do you really think you'll get an honest answer? If you do, how will you know?

Yeah you look like LE hahaha. Nah man, I think it's chill to ask questions, especially if the product is a bit strange, or your clarifying something. Like, I was shopping for salvia (illegal in my state), and needless to say, my options were limited. So I had to ask some questions about what times extract it was. That shit's normal.

But if it's fucking bud, and you're asking how they got it, don't do that. There's literally no reason to ask the questions you listed.

I'd say a better way to do what you're trying to do is to try and hit up the vendor about themselves and try and discern how comfortable they make you feel. You're not gonna get very far asking about the product but be like "Hey I was looking at your product, looks like a great deal, was wondering if you'll have it up in a few days, I was planning on placing an order blah blah blah" And then see what their reply is like. If they're a douchenozzle you'll know, if they seem like a stand-up guy/gal you'll know, if they don't even reply then whatever figure it out. Far more friendly, less probing, and you'll acquire more information about the vendor and get a better feel for who they are as a person this way than if you just start hitting them with real questions about the stuff which makes you look like LE.

The only thing I ever tend to ask is to make sure a certain item is still in stock before ordering if they say they are running low, or ask if there is a difference between item A and item B if they are similar postings.

I'll ask only if the listing is simply not detailed enough.

Where they get it and from who and how often is totally not yours or any customers business.

Watch yourself I've always been afraid to irritate a vendor for simply asking too many valid questions, but it hasn't happened they're all so nice so far.

I have asked questions on dosage. i.e. I got liquid something when all I could find on erowid for dose was listed as mg. QQ to vendor and found the starter dose is 5ml. Just for example. But yeah... your questions make me... uncomfortable. haha
