Bitcoin is dead. We need to shift our focus.

It seems to me as though every way of anonymously using and purchasing bitcoin has been made more and more difficult. Every time a way seems to work for a bit the system changes in some way.

As many of you know there have been users suggesting from the beginning that we all use monero. This made little sense to many of us who were already using bitcoins since you had to buy monero with bitcoin and we already had a tried and true way of using bitcoin directly.

Now, Monero is growing. Circle is dead. Everything else is a pain in the ass. Alphabay already accepts monero for every transaction. There are a lot of monero apps and wallets out there. I am of the opinion we should shift our focus to finding a convenient way to buy Monero with USD instead of bitcoin. Currently I'm looking at the Monero Wallet app and Bitfinex but I haven't figured it out yet.

Thoughts?

I don't think you're correct. AB vendors can choose to accept Monero, but the last time I looked, most don't. You're better off waiting for Zcash to get their bugs sorted out.

1 rather shitty exchange shuts-down and you immediately think Bitcoin is dead?

And now you think its a great idea to use a coin that is even less accepted? That barely offers anything extra over Bitcoin, that has huge price swings, doesn't offer multisig, is traded over 95% on 1 exchange, has no actual usage besides the darkweb, is barely accepted by vendors and you can only use it on 1 market.

Doesn't make sense to me.

Most people just buy coins under their real identity through Coinbase or similar, and then tumble them.

Voila. Anonymous.

Even people who don't tumble are really only at risk of Coinbase closing their account, rather than LE action. No one cares about buyers.

Monero only works well right now because few people, if any, use it for anything other than speculation. If it had as many users as Bitcoin, it would have the same type of scaling problems.

Hahaha monero, you fucking americans are so retarded it isnt even funny, about 15% of all bitcoin trades happens in US, and yet you think its dead because some random american site stops offering it.

People that arent aware of these people pushing monero, stay away for your own sake.

Monero was dead from inception! We don't need advice from a bag holder.
