TOR browser apps for android

I have been liking around the app store and I have been curious if these apps work? I'm guessing no but I've been surprised before. Anyone have experience with these at all?

They do technically "work" but they are not secure. Nothing on your smartphone is ever secure.

mobile devices in general and Android devices in particular have not been designed with privacy in mind. In fact, they've seemingly been designed with nearly the opposite goal: to make it easy for third parties, telecommunications companies, sophisticated state-sized adversaries, and even random hackers to extract all manner of personal information from the user.

I wouldn't trust any mobile Tor related software. Mobile phones are subject to probably THE most invasive surveillance of all devices. After all smartphones are the wet-dream of signal intelligence agencies. And do you really trust android not to have a NSA backdoor ?

If someone is using a mobile TOR to order, they're asking for LE.

I've been using anonymous private browser for the last year or 2. Works great.

Is using orbot and orbweb to browse (and post) these forums safe? Not using the reddit app but using the orbweb browser...

I use orbot and the appropriate firefox add-on. It works. Don't use orweb(terrible for browsing). You can do everything like order,browse,deposit/withdrawal. Not as safe as PC/Tails combo

krypton browser is the best available. orbot requires your phone to be rooted. krypton works on any phone and is better than orweb or orbot/firefox. stay safe.
