Private Mailbox Rental Fake ID

This is an often debated drop method and has been discussed recently on this sub. For those who have used this method at mom 'n pop mailbox rental businesses, does USPS check the validity of owner/address details for privately rented mailboxes?

I know that by law, the mom 'n pop shops have to submit the details of every new customer renting a mailbox to USPS.

By law?!?!?!

Um, no. Mailbox+, UPS Store, etc. submit the forms your talking about. They're commercial mail forwarders. They have no rights to the mail and aren't liable for it either. They just hold your mail until you come in to recieve it.

The mom & pop places don't do the forms. They're receiving your mail on your behalf, and they have the same rights you do.

Usually when people say Mom & Pop they're talking about no form filled, the mail is officially considered delivered to the store, and Ma & PA are acting as your agent.

You need to make sure they actually file and not assume they do.

You want a bona fide CMRA that files form 1583-A

The USPS may or may not check the validity of the forms submitted. If they do, it's likely to be a cursory check. Unless, of course, the PMB owner gets suspicious about the guy from three states over and makes his suspicions known to the police. (Keep in mind that the absolute last thing that mom and pop store wants is a drug smuggler for a client: $15-20 a month isn't enough to risk civil forfeiture).

Should they discover you rented that box with a fake ID you are immediately guilty of a couple felonies. It's also abundantly clear that you used that fake ID for a reason: most of us are happy to put our mailbox in our own name. And so you're likely to come under some pretty intensive surveillance -- and when you get caught good luck trying the "Hurr durr I had no idea there was cocaine in this here box" defense.

In regard to the DeepDotWeb you posted earlier, the Grand Wizard saw one glaring error. The writer suggested that the Los Angeles branch of the FBI had greater resources than the Des Moines branch. He neglected to mention that the Des Moines office also has a great deal more time on their hands to chase down things which would be far too small to attract attention in LA.

It's not debated. It's only for professionals. If you have to ask on a public forum, then you don't qualify.

Hahaahah, even if you are dealing in bulk (which I doubt) that is not the only way to have a drop not connected to you. You must not be as smart as you think you are...Anyway have fun spending time in prison when you get caught with a fake ID + felony amounts of drugs. Have you ever heard of a thing called plausible deniability? You have none when you go to the store to receive your drugs package with a fake ID. Simple fact of the matter really though, you don't have what it takes if you have to ask on reddit.
