slight predicament

so I'm expecting a package from KrispyKreme to my PO box either today or tomorrow.. I called the store and they said they had no mail for me, but they have a piece of mail with the first name he same as mine and a different last name (they aren't similar at all).. and there's no box number marked on it. I'm 99.9% sure a vendor triple checks the addressing labels, am I just over thinking it? this can't be my pack could it?

Coulda been a packaging mix up. KK is getting popular so it's not unlikely. If it has your first name on it you might as well go check it out. Worst case it's not your package.

My guess is that this isn't your pack. You said you have a common first name, my guess is that someone else in the facility has that first name as well. This is indeed why a decoy comes in handy. Do you at least know where he ships from? I'd ask KK to check tracking for you just to verify if its landed or not. But I'm betting its not your pack.

I'm not going to post where they ship from, but that would be an easy confirmation.

You never know, it might be your pack. Just ask the vender what his shipping address was and go in and see.

Once the UPS guy showed up at my door with a package I ordered from ebay. My name was mispelled but not too far off, but the street address was completely wrong with the wrong apartment number. The address didn't even exist.

The UPS guy just had a hunch it was for me cause he delivered something like two days earlier, so he just rolled on by and asked if this was mine, and asked for my ID and tracking number to verify.

I absolutely stole that auction (like paid less than a quater what it was worth), and I think the seller was trying to get it "lost" and returned to him. He also wouldn't send me shipping info until I begged him, and when he sent the tracking number it had 1 digit missing. Motherfucker.
