So I am in a strange situation...
Over a week ago, I placed an order and it was promptly marked "shipped".
However, the pack was taking somewhat of a long time to land so I contacted the vendor and politely asked them if they could simply confirm that the pack was sent. I did not ask for tracking nor did I even want it.
I understand that vendors often mark orders "shipped" before actually shipping them. That's not a huge issue for me. I've been around looking enough to know this is relatively common.
The problems that I had were the fact that, when I contacted them to inquire about the order, I received absolutely zero response and was completely blown off.
I did finally hear from the vendor but I'm not going to go into details about all of it. Regardless, my entire experience with this vendor (that has overwhelmingly positive feedback, For what it's worth) was that of horrible, non-existent customer service, my order was cancelled over a week after being marked shipped and the vendor was simply rude when he finally got back to me (after I was nothing but cordial and polite to them).
He also told me that I was blacklisted after I voiced my (valid) concerns to him - as if I would ever consider buying from a vendor like this anyway?..
*** So.... Today, I find that my (cancelled) pack actually dropped and I received exactly what I had ordered. I was obviously refunded due to the fact that he cancelled the order so I suppose that's nice and all but...
My question is this: should I (or, would you) contact the vendor to inform them that the pack still landed despite everything that I just listed above? I feel like I should simply contact him and inform them that I received the pack from them (likely a mistake) and offer to pay for it just out of good faith. Even though I don't like this vendor and will never order from them again, do you guys think I should still contact and offer to pay for what I received?
*** EDIT: Although I asked for feedback... I am going to contact the vendor asap (not home right now) and make it right. Gonna let them know what happened and offer payment. ***
I wouldn't offer to pay for it. shrugs
