Connections?...Advice?

First, thanks to u/wombat2combat for assisting with OPSEC and encouraging me to cut the BS and get to the point.

Now, how can an "average joe" like me make contact with someone high-up in an organization? Specifically at the smuggling/trafficking level...?

Suggestions? Advice? Is there a darket market for posting jobs like this? Recommendations?

In the Darknet world, most any schlub can be a "kingpin" - all it takes is some cash, a drop, balls and you can set up a mini empire. It works very differently in the real world. That sort of shit, the connections you are asking about, tend to happen more organically. Whereas the world of DNMs is anon and therefore quite easy to make the right contacts, the real world is very different. Often, people are already in the "biz", have met the right people, and developed a working relationship at some level with traffickers and such. Obviously the cartels are aware that people in certain jobs can be quite useful and they tend to know how to reach the right people so they can get this sort of help. What I'm trying to say is that its not as easy as popping up an ad somewhere and getting the right connect. It'd be a long play - something not going to happen overnight.

Also, you need to consider the type of people you'd be dealing with. Again, that sort of world is very different than the darknet world. If you fuck shit up or they somehow want to blame you for something, its not going to be settled by a "reship" and a dispute moderated by PenisSmith or the like. You would definitely want to even consider if working with those kinds of risks is worth it. Again, its a very different world than the DNM world.

In order to get the sort of thing going that you are talking about is going to take a big investment of time and determination. Posting an ad isn't exactly going to work. You are going to have to network, do real networking, and it'd take some time to not only find the people but also to build enough trust to be able to conduct business.

This isn't the place to be asking. Iirc Reddit is somewhere in the top 10 most trafficked websites outside of porn. This is a public sub and the admins know of this place and are tolerant of it as long as it doesn't cross that line. Fostering the networking you seek to create large crimes is definitely across that line. So for those of us who frequent this sub, please stop.
If you want to get into the game, you need to have connections irl. I doubt you can find a website willing to host this kind of networking in order to commit serious crimes. If you do it's probably full of scammers or a scam itself.
Career criminals are often born into a life of crime. They have close friends or relatives who are already criminals that bring someone close to them into their endeavors. Think of the Italian Mafia, it's an ethnic group they often don't recruit outsiders. They want to work with people who they know or they know their family. It's easier to vet and develop trust this way. Undercover investigations into the mob often start with someone the mob is familiar with introducing the undercover agent as cousin or some other relative of theirs. My point is these criminal organizations don't want to work with strangers, however they are at least willing to work with someone who is already "known" to them.

I highly suggest you don't go down this path. If you have a stable job and are making enough money to live a comfortable life the risk to benefit ratio is not in your favor. Most career criminals go into it because of limited options in having a good legit career. They often come from impoverished families and have relatives who are criminals. Often their communities have an above average number of people committing crimes for profit. They see it as their only way to live the good life.

Someone here said you should go to prison to develop connections. They're not wrong. As an outsider if you don't have anyone vouching for you this is probably the easiest way to start. Being an inmate no one is going to think you're a fed. Depending on the crime you were locked up for they also may see you already are willing to break the law. Prison is also a recruiting ground for gangs, there is a lot of networking done there by career criminals. The only other way for an outsider with no connections to get in, is to the "party" route. Start partying meet other partiers and eventually you'll probably meet some low level dealers. I'm not going to explain that any further, not that it requires it. The partying route is a lot of work and there is a good chance it wouldn't succeed.
So just don't even try. You are much more likely to be arrested before you make a contact or before you are able to profit at all. I'm not in the game at all.
I have met 1 or 2 actual career criminals before. Like the only way they make money is by criminal activity and I'm not talking selling weed. One guy I met was dating a girl who was close friends with my best friend/room mate and I only hung out with him once that I recall. I doubt my friend even knows how to contact him anymore as that was years ago and we both have moved from that city. Might as well have been a lifetime ago. This guy had connections to different criminal orgs in his hometown so he mainly did odd jobs for them, he also had a close group of long time friends he worked with. He had grown up around criminals and he had childhood friends who were in the game as well. So the people he worked with knew him before they started working together. He did well enough for himself to live a comfortable life and was able to splurge on a nice car. I wouldn't consider him rich by any means but maybe he was sitting on some money that he kept secret. I don't know the guy that well, can't even remember his name at the moment, but I do remember some details my friend told me. I was in a really dark place at the time and I considered turning to a life of crime as I saw that as my only way to provide for myself financially at the time. Luckily I didn't go through with it.

TL;DR Don't do it and don't ask these things here or anywhere on reddit.
