Sites and Forums for and about Direct Sales -- Got Any?

If we're going to see the markets moving toward more direct sales over Torchat, BM, e-mail, etc. it would be nice to have some centralized places wherein interested parties could enter information on a vendor and get back customer reviews. Safeorscam.com does this for online pharmacies and RC sellers and the Majestic Garden offers a venue for psychedelics sellers. But the Grand Wizard doesn't know of any place where one could learn more about direct-deal sellers of other products or substances, or where new sellers could introduce themselves.

If anyone has any pointers on where such a site exists, or on how one might create one, the Grand Wizard would love to learn more. It appears that we can post reviews of direct-mail sales on /r/darknetmarkets although we can't make or request direct offers. Something along that model with a bit more leeway for sellers to solicit buyers and buyers sellers might work. The Grand Wizard also wonders about an IRC-over-TOR channel that functioned like #bitcoin_OTC, with a bot creating and maintaining a web of trust for parties on both sides of the equation.

There are obvious issues here. We're already under constant threat of Reddit shutting down /r/darknetmarkets altogether for ToS violations. Allowing people to come in with "Hi, I'm Frank and I Want to be YOUR Heroin Dealer" posts would probably push them over the edge. And the Grand Wizard isn't entirely sure how much liability someone might accrue simply for having admin privileges in an IRC channel devoted to drug sales or creating a bot which facilitated same.

Right now the biggest problem with direct sales is trust. And since the number of direct-to-customer vendors is only going to increase in the future, the Grand Wizard suggests we should start thinking about this problem now.

Though The Majestic Garden does cater primarily towards psychedelic vendors, it is also open to other substances. The problem you bring to light is certainly relevant to the current status of the markets so hopefully someone can come up with a solution. As a new vendor and an individual that has held a presence in the Dark Net community since the SR1 days, it's more of an uphill battle than ever now.

I think there is room for a really good "business" to setup right now to offer arbitration services. They help people make use of 2-of-3 multisigs (or X-of-X) and provide arbitration services in the event of a dispute. It would be a simple business model: 1) Web app or Browser Plugin a bit like blockchain.info has for their wallet 2) They aren't involved if both parties agree (as customer and merchant can sign the 2-of-3 multisig themselves) 3) If their arbitration services are needed then they take a X% (maybe 5%? or a minimum of $X value?) cut of the transaction for their time/effort and to pay for running their business costs.

It would be simple for them to run a review directory type service then. Privacy could be determined by both parties as to the visibility of their transaction but it would be easy to see that a Vendor has done 700~ transactions and only had 3 disputes, of which 2 were found in the vendors favor. Versus a Vendor with 2~ transactions and with 2 disputes...

What am I missing...? Does this already exist...? Why not...?

Using grams you could buy ad time on tor.

Could also create your own sub/r and direct folk there, would take the heat off r/dnm a bit.

We can all just go HOS and do private direct like the good old days.

I don't know, looking at all the options myself too.

Stay safe and don't get too big! GPJ

This question has been raised a lot in the last few weeks, which lead us to set up social networking software on a hidden service.

Unfortunately, we launched prematurely, and left some holes to be filled. JS is also a big issue it seems. I don't know what else to add.

Sounds like TMG is what you want.

Personally, I prefer that system and whatever I can get from reputable vendors on TMG I usually don't buy on DNMs.

personally i think the future of DNM's is in single vendor sites or possibly even a forum/ decentralized marketplace that list seperate links for each vendor, thats just me though..
