[Question] I know its a holiday but USPS missed my scheduled delivery for a priority first 1-day and FAQs say to contact customer service. Should I?

So heres the skinny on my situation. I had placed an order and asked specifically for the vendor to make sure it gets here Saturday. I have the tracking and as promised it is scheduled for Saturday. Unfortunately Saturday ends and no package.

Now its Monday and I totally forgot about MLK day because I still get to work like most people. The good news is that the package is probably sitting in the nearby post office waiting to be scanned in as it left the a nearby sorting facility 30 minutes away last night. The bad news is that with no sign required, I am worried my package is going to be left out tomorrow and I wont be home until late (mailbox outside house too doesn't help).

So I check USPS FAQs and they say for this type of mail, you should contact customer service immediately following a missed scheduled delivery as its supposed to be guaranteed to be delivered on that day. My question is I guess, should I just wait it out and hope its there when I get home late tomorrow night or contact customer service and see if they can expedite the delivery somehow (for example early morning would be perfect) without adding any additional risk to my OPSEC or delivery of my package or reasonable cause for USPS to search my package? Any input is greatly appreciated thanks.

Definitely call your local post office. I have to do it pretty frequently, because I order a shit ton of cheap ass (legal) stuff from China that always require a signature. Just call them and they'll look for the package and then redeliver it or tell you it's already on the truck en route.

Holy shit Kojack. So the kids these days are using the Postal Inspector as a concierge service basically? What happens with plausible deniability after you guys start querying your packs?

Homestly, did not think it was possible but I am STUNNED. Can someone please give me a tl/dr on how to use my usps? I'm dead serious.

Thanks

and there is even a flair in use for logistics? It sounds so 22nd century. Now I am convinced that we must have found a way to use myusps and i want a seat at the grown up table. All this sweating deliveries because I have no info on the inbound gear has been a ROYAL PAIN IN THE ASS! Over 5 years of this blind uncertainty!! There have actually been times I did not even want to order because of the dread of the entire "long hand" opsec process.

I'm all ears???

Yes, go and call about a package containing illegal substances, thus solidifying the fact that you are expecting that package, which would get you slapped with a charge so fast you wouldn't be able to register it. If you call and it is in any way compromised, you're fucked.

I had this happen. It was supposed to arrive on Saturday but I didn't receive it until Tuesday. I would wait and see if arrives tomorrow.
