How to Rate Vendor's Use of "Overnight" Priority?

So I ordered from a well-known vendor around noon on Wednesday. I ordered 1g of coke ($60) + overnight priority ($40). My goal was to have it in time for Saturday night (hence overnight on a Wednesday order - should be plenty of time - nearly 4 days). I even told the vendor I needed it for an event this weekend.

Well the vendor didn't ship the coke until today (Saturday), meaning it won't be here until Monday.

I know you really are supposed to build 1-2 days in for processing, but over 2 days processing on an overnight order?

If the coke turns out fine and the tracking says it was shipped overnight, what rating would you give the vendor? Noting he ignored my message about needing it this weekend, and took over 2 days to process an "overnight" order.

Thanks guys. I wanna be fair, but I paid 40% of my order in overnight shipping costs in order to get it in time, and it seems like the vendor did not care. It's kind of hard for me to kiss that $40 worth of convenience goodbye. I wish I could get a refund on the shipping, but the vendor doesn't seem to communicate and it was an FE listing so I can't dispute - so I'm guessing a refund isn't an option.

You pay for overnight and order Wednesday, it better be shipped on Thursday. Period. Anything else is name and shame because that vendor is charging for a service he doesn't actually offer.

I ordered from CannaXpress on Wednesday he claims 2 day, "shipped" Wednesday night and tracking popped up on MyUSPS just got on its way last night. :( No bashing him though all part of the DNM game you win some and lose some.

i wouldn't call that over night, usps EXPRESS can take 1-2 days most of the time its 1 day but in some rural states and places with shitty postal service its 2. but again it its shipped the day it was supposed to arrive thats poor service in my opinion.

Some customers don't understand how the whole process works if they place an order 1am on monday that doesn't mean they are gunna get it by 1 am tues, they tend to start the clock as soon as they place the order, but the clock shouldn't start until the order is marked shipped (that is assuming the vendor is honest and ACTUALLY shipped it) but lets say they are honest... well if its marked shipped monday with express shipping, Priority Express, or Overnight what ever you wanna call it if its marked shipped monday then it should arrive tues if the vendor has done things properly, unless it says in his or her profile something different or has weird cuttoff times but if that is the case they shouldn't mark it shipped till the day it actually gets picked up at the blue box and beings the journey to your mail box.

Hopefully that makes sense but sounds like a great waste of money, i mean if it were me i personally would consider that a failure on my behalf as a vendor. its extremely rare but if i know there is some kind of delay a order that is a result of me and again its super super rare for me personally, then i will message any and all customers IMMEDIATELY letting them know and keeping communication lines good. for example if i mark it shipped monday and find out that it didnt' actually get shipped monday for some odd reason (these things don't happen with me but...) what i'm sayying is i feel a message is in order to the customer asap.

Now if the vendor ships on time with express shipping and it arrives really late, but it was a result of usps delays then you can tell this on tracking, so in that case you should look at tracking, but i dunno i personally feel that what you experienced was unacceptable service but that is why i excel and some others get lumpped into that group i call the "lazy slow shipping, lying about when it was actually shipped vendors" there are too many of these vendors and more vendors should strive for top notch service when it comes to shipping times. and they should do EVERYTHING in there power to get it to you on time! anyways good luck
