Am I fucked?

I logged into AlphaBay, checked to make sure my security phrase was correct on the site(it was), and then deposited btc into my account. I pressed the home button and my account was logged out. When I try to log back in, it says "Authentication failed. Please verify your username or password." Thanks for any help

Hello, this sounds like a phishing case. There is no way to change the password of an account without knowing the original password. Since passwords are one-way hashed and never transmitted in clear, the attacker knows your cleartext password. It can be phishing, keylogging, or anything else.

If the account still has a PGP key and the attacker did not remove it, you can send a m3ssage to alpha02 on the marketplace using a signed message. If the attacker removed the key, or if the account had no key, you will need to make a new account. We urge users to use 2FA to avoid this kind of problems.

Did you use the same ID/PW-combination on any other market?

Sounds like you accidentally clicked on a phishing link. These have been going around lately and they've snagged a couple people out there. A lot of them involve fake links to AlphaBay, although there's a few that falsely link to Agora and Nucleus as well.

Yes, you might as well burn your house down.
