Totally not your fault. This is the vendors loss.

Keep and run.

Meaning when you have the money again? That sounds pretty reasonable to me, assuming you would be ordering again in the future. I mean, if you weren't willing to do that then why did you bother to tell them about the mistake in the first place? "As a courtesy" meaning what? You wanted to give them the opportunity to tell you it was cool and keep it for free but weren't prepared to have them ask you to return it or pay for it?

You're sure within your rights to say no, you're not willing to compensate them at all. They done fucked up and would have to eat it if you hadn't told them otherwise. But they're doing this for a living and you should be prepared for them to be irked if you're not willing to pay for product that surely cost them money.

Personally I'd rather treat people the way I want to be treated when I fuck up, and don't want to burn bridges with people if I might do business with them again. But it's your call.

It's not really a moral dilemma - the moral thing to do is pay them when you can, assuming you would eventually want this stuff anyway. Like most moral things it's not an obligation - you can choose to do what you like.

Just keep it and accept it. You're dumb for even asking about this. I'd say "double? Cool."

I would take it as a loan. I assume you didn't plan to spend that much at one time, and it's vendor's fault. So you can do him a favor and pay a little more with every other order or something like this.

A good customer would let the vendor know so he or she can keep their records in order and perhaps learn from the mistake. A good vendor would tell you merry xmas, it's your lucky day.

I had a similar situation recently with a very well respected vendor. I received my order (1oz) and someone else's order in a seperate box (2oz). I let the vendor know. He was very grateful to have the mystery solved and I had 2 ounces of free cannabis.

Did he ask you to pay him back? Or does he not know he sent you double?

If you resell it and make profit, yes you should pay him. If you use it yourself, and can afford it, yes you should pay him. If you want to keep him as a plug yes you hsould pay him. If he let's you off the hook, or is an asshole in some way don't pay him. If you're just greedy and don't value the community don't pay him, but IMO that shit comes around to bite you one way or another. Selfish greedy people are never happy.

I tend to stick with the same handful of vendors, most of whom I assume would say something like 'cool, enjoy the extras'. But if I was dealing with someone I didn't know I'm not sure if I would even tell them, for reasons like this. I've been seeing a lot of posts like this lately, I don't sell so if I got a lot more than I wanted to buy I would just be stuck with all this extra product I did not really want. I shouldn't have to pay for their mistake.

I would have not said anything, not even this post. Just left a positive review obviously. Its just lady luck or karma gracing your presence.

If you have the means to pay him back and would have ordered more from him anyways, I say cough up the extra money, you would expect him to fix an error if he fucked up and sent too little.
