Received a suspicious call claiming they were a state attorney.

The man said he was with a state attorney here to offer me assistance because the state knows I have been ordering drugs online. The phone number did not match up with the state that he claimed he was from though. I recently ordered a package that I never received but not to the state that he claimed he was from. I said I had no idea what he was talking about and he immediately hung up. Any advice as to what I should do? Part of me thinks this is a scam, but another part of me wants to make sure so i think I might have to burn everything. Please post advice or any similar experiences if you have any. Bugging out a little.

Part of me thinks this is a scam

Only part of you?

I believe that this happens from time to time; a vendor gets ahold of some PI and gets creative. What was the one I read one time here....can't remember details, but someone got a phone call from someone trying to blackmail them over buying drugs on the internet.

Holly shit me too, this morning, from some 1800 number, a guy with a thick Indian accent. Told him to fuck outa here and blacklisted the number, which had been marked as "spam" by 2000 other people by the "truecaller" app.

Even though he never mentioned drugs, something about ordering restricted items.

Postal Workers love to steal packages. Especially at mail centers. I love it when they call me with a cover story. Phone numbers (most) aren't hard to trace, and I always get my things back.
