Circle account just got banned

Just received the love email telling me my account is banned due to "activity relates to sections 17 and 18 of the User Agreement which detail 'Restricted Activities." I was pretty much asking for it. I never bought more than $400 worth of coin every week but I always just sent it directly to the markets. I had been doing this for over 2 years with Circle. I was arrogant and thought it was small enough amounts that Circle wouldn't care. I guess their automated systems are being more scrupulous than I thought. It was interesting though. About 2 weeks previous, I had tried to buy about $120 worth and it was stuck in pending. Then it failed and said my account was being reviewed for security reasons. I emailed them and about 3 days later, they said my account was all set and I could buy coin again. I then bought an ounce from medibuds, an ounce off alphabay, and then an ounce from medibuds. Was just about to get JoinMarket rolling too :P I dunno if it was the alphabay purchase that put the final nail in the coffin or what. Regardless, please don't be stupid like me. Tumble your coins or use JoinMarket or something. I don't think sending to an intermediate wallet will be sufficient enough anymore. Just doesn't do much to detaint your coins. Don't lose that precious Circle account. Coinbase just isn't the same.

I do not see the problem with Coinbase. If I got my coins this way I would probably prefer Coinbase over Circle.

But yes, you were reckless - if you simply transfer the money to a clearnet wallet, then to a wallet over Tor like Electrum on Tails and then onto the market from here the chances of getting banned are slim to none.

I wish you good luck finding a new source and stay safe.

Yes, it was your alphabay wallet address that triggered them to ban you.

I just want to say thank you. I just set up my tumbler through grams helix and I feel comfortable now using circle again. I love this community!edit: this was my helix quote: "The only way to deal with an unfree world is to become so absolutely free that your very existence is an act of rebellion."

I used coinbase at first no problems for RCs sending btc directly from coinbase to some clearnet rc site. Then bam one day they forced me to transfer my remain coin somewhere else as i had violated their terms of agreement. That is how i learned about bitcoin core and cold storage wallets. Then i found circle and started over. I also have been using bit blend for shits and grins.

You HAVE to either tumble or use an intermediate wallet!

i had a friend who tried to set up a circle account using a fake name and they wouldn't let him ? i don't know what he was thinking, using his debit card without the correct name obviously would raise red flags. i would bet all you need to do is get a new debit card from your bank with new numbers on it and join circle again, if not open a new bank account with different bank institution and then use that to join circle again ? did you increase your limit and give them the last 4 of your social or connect your bank account instead of use a debit ?

my second circle transmission i tried sending directly to (ab) from scanning the qr code, but circle wouldn't let me it kept telling me i was over my limit which i was no where close to. i just did this to save time as using an intermediary took extra time. soon as i changed the address to an intermediary wallet the transmission went through fine. so i would say i lucked out. i have been now sending coin to a new intermediary wallet, then to a fresh (ab) wallet each time i use circle and have not had any issues yet. i'm surprised you made it two years sending directly to market ? what is join market ?

It's kind of amazing you weren't banned earlier.
