hi all. If I were to send bitcoins from say coinjar --> fresh electrum wallet --> DNM, would that be considered enough? I mean, after all, I could just be reselling those coins to someone else right? And when I sold it to this person, thats the address they gave me. The electrum wallet is in no way tied to me, so why does it matter whether they are tumbled or not in this scenario?
Nobody has been arrested due to btc taint yet.
If you really really care; repeat transactions between the same addresses contribute toward a 'taint' percentage. If my wallet only ever transfers funds to one other location then the taint is 100% - meaning that the addresses are 100% likely to be connected (implying they are owned by the same person). So you're right that you could just be reselling them but if it were analyzed then the result would show that you resold to only one person.
