Nucleus recommending sites like Igolder.

http://z34uj4opd3tejafn.onion/viewtopic.php?pid=95956#p95956 (Mod Supporter): "Nope. I told them if they cant handle pgp tools for some reason, they rather should decrypt / encrypt by any website like igolder than NOT encrypt orders AT ALL and i still stick to that."

Arent sites like igolder dangers and/or honeypots possibly? Shoudlnt he be sending people links on how to use PGP instead of redirecting people to sites like igolder?

I also noticed Nucleus forums and threads popping up on google search engine, why is that?

Absolutely.

100% agree. Learning PGP shouldn't even be a question. Its not hard. Just do it. Suggesting a "lazy" way out b/c its better than nothing, while it does have certain merit, is bad advice. There should be no "better than nothing" argument in this game. You do it. That simple. I also don't like it when markets "auto-encrypt." It allows for a certain laziness that can be dangerous to the user. The same argument is made, "better than nothing", but its not like PGP is rocket science anyway. People need to learn how to use it rather than relying on these types of services.

Both of the nucleus mods have shown themselves to be dumbkids multiple times, however warning against the market nucleus because of what some muppet says is foolish, the only person on nucleus anyone should be listening to is the admin, these two mods only control the forum anyway so they literally know as much as any nucleus user about the market

They have shown in the past that they didn't know what VRC (the admin) market account was called, they didn't know how to tell the last login on an account, they thought they could ban a user by IP address, they think leaving feedback from their mod account is a good idea, engaging (and getting battered) by trolls on the forum

Those sites that you see are from reverse-proxy hosters, e.g. xxx.onion.nu / xxx.onion.cab on a clearnet browser will let you view the onion. It's just not safe.

And the problem with sites like iGolder is that nobody can tell if they don't log everything in clear/plain-text before encrypting it with the provided keys.

well, encrypting your address isn't inherently illegal. suppose it could throw some red flags though.

[1 Points] pecrophilyak:

encryptin aint as risky as decryptin as its done (can be done) in the browser client-side only. like all those OpenPGP (javascript) implementations you got on different markets. but it could be logged, yeah. there a shitload of different sites offerin pgp encryption in the browser (only client side). hanewin for example. but if you aint smart enuff to get pgp software to work the dark net is not for you :<

Oh my god. Part of me wants to think he doesn't know better, the other part thinks he's tired of trying to teach people who have no intention of learning.

I don't disagree with that. Can you really say that you do? Encrypting on igolder is better than no encryption. If someone refuses to use PGP tools, you can't make them. Like on the noob sub, there's a guide for windows - it says about 10 times not to use windows, but still gives advice for those who insist. Better they have some advice than do it anyway without it and put themselves at more risk.
