Hey, so I ran into a bit of an odd situation and would love to hear if others have had the same thing / something similar happen
Today my drop had an event on a nearby street. This event caused a few streets to be closed and resulting in slowed traffic and making it difficult to get around today.
I saw the USPS truck on my street at the far end around 4:30 and again around 6:30. I have seena few USPS people around my area but I am 99% postive USPS person has NOT brought mail to my drop today.
My drop is set up in a way that if USPS had dropped off mail today I would know. To make things even weirder the pack that was scheduled to land today (myusps gave me a heads up) said out for delivery this morning and then a little while ago was updated to "Notice Left (No Secure Location Available)"
There is no notice in my box and as I said it seems the Mailman did not drop off any mail at this place today for anyone (not just me). I have packs dropped here all the time and there is clearly a secure spot that all packages are left. I have ordered from this vendor before and never had an issue or needed a signature. My box is in such a place that a notice falling out of it and blowing away is impossible
Do you think the mail man just got delayed all day due to the event and did not make it to my buidling today? What are the chances he just ends up delievering all of todays mail monday? If he doesn't deliver it monday and it just sits at the Post office how can I go claim the pack while still keeping plausible deniablity?
*Edit: All of this because a vendor dragged and shipped out thursday when they should have shipped tuesday, but they marked it shipped Saturday, now I need to open a dispute so it wont auto finalize before I get my pack.
USPS tracking is about as accurate as the weather man. Sometimes they get it right and sometimes not. In the case of USPS tracking I have packages that have said delivered and show up 2 days later. Also had packs arrive and USPS send me a text 3 days later saying it was just delivered.
