question about domestic shipping

my package was sent by a vendor last week, didn't arrive so i asked for tracking number. this is domestic US to US transaction.

checked the tracking via tails/tor, not on usps.com. shows that it was dropped in the vendor's state, was delivered to large mail hub there. then arrived in my state at a large mail hub the next day, never went out for delivery.

next thing it says that it was sent back to the large mail hub in the vendor's state the next day after it arrived in my state.

now the pack has been sitting at the vendor's state mail hub for 2-3 days. nothing happening.

anyone have a situation like this? this is a small amount so i doubt cops would bother with a CD. the vendor has a reputation for very good stealth. did the usps just fuck up? will they ever deliver the package or decide to open it once they find out the return address is probably fake.

my hope is that the sorting machine in my state somehow just misread the address and sent it back to sender's state.

main concern is that my address is now flagged. what do you guys think?

Sometimes packages will "loop" and sort of bounce around a couple hubs for a few days, or even longer. Typically they snap out of it but its frustrating. With legit packages I open a complaint as quick as possible (5 days) and annoy the USPS as much as possible (requesting tracking updates, package intercept, etc) and it seems to work. Could be coincidence as well.

I doubt think youre flagged, prob not infact. Probably just a usps error.

Contact your vendor and see what he wants to do.

just message the vendor and ask for a reship. my best guess is that the shipping address was messed up.
