I need your opinion. Do you think the current Bitcoin transaction fee is acceptable?

Yes or No.

If you want to know the reason why I ask this question, you can read the story below.

But, it's better to give me your answer without reading this story.

I am a bitcoiner.

We have been wanting to raise the transaction capacity and lower the fee for years. The tech is called "SegWit", (Let's call it "SW")

But because the mining rigs are heavily concentrated in China. Especially in the hands of 1 - 6 people. They don't want to introduce this tech, because 1. this will lower the transaction fee they earned. 2. this will decrease their mining advantage by 20%. (they are using some covert asicboost to gain 20% advantage and SW will block it)

Although nearly all Bitcoiners want to activate SW, but those Chinese miners believe they have the only say.

That's not important.

The important thing is that many people think that we shall lower the fee asap. So we are unsure whether we shall use a riskier way to activate SW, without the agreement of those Chinese miners.

So I want to know whether you feel the fee is too high or not?

If not, we can keep status quo. And we'll gradually find a way to solve the problem.

Thanks.

What a load of shill. Segwit isn't activating because not everybody wants it. That's why purse and bitpay just released an alternative to it and why bitcoin unlimited has been gaining lots of support. Also if you look at r/btc you'll find a different story than the one you're spewing.

The argument over segwit is not between bitcoin users and Chinese miners, you are trying to turn this issue into something it's not.

Anything done without the Chinese involving bitcoin I cannot see ending well.

That being said, I do feel as if in the past few years that transactions are almost held as "ransoms"; Demanding more money per transaction to get it through or paying the min and being shit out of luck with transaction speed.

UASF seems like a bad idea to me.

You just are failing to inspire trust man. People can smell the thirst for power and acclaim in you and are being put off by it and this is why segwit is failing.
