Don't use online currency calculators for bitcoin!

Because it is the easiest I normally use google converter for converting btc to $. In case you don't know it's pretty easy just type 0.25 btc in usd and google converts it for you. Normally I just convert the amount I currently have in my wallet to see if there is enough in it to buy something.

So last time I did this I noticed something, Google also does a normal web search if you type this in. And Google found my address because I typed in all the decimals and it seems that there were just 1 address with the exact same balance. So any btc converter could just assume that if there is a really accurate number, that you are the owner of a the bitcoin address with this balance. If you are logged in your Google account they even know your name and everything.

I know this is same pretty paranoid thinking and I guess LE could never use this, but I don't want Google or anybody else to know how many bitcoins I have and where they are.

I don't really see any risk here unless you weren't doing it through Tor or weren't using Tails.

You could always just round your balance to the sixth decimal, the margin of error would be about 4% of a penny.

The best way to get the price is actually just to go on localbitcoins, pick the top seller, put in how many btc you need and look at the price. That's how I do it, and I don't buy from localbitcoins. It's just the best way of pricing it rightly.

Sounds like someone needs to put the meth pipe down :-) In times like this, i turn to the wisdom of my good friend Tyler!!!!

Listen up, maggots. You are not special. You are not a beautiful or unique snowflake. You're the same decaying organic matter as everything else.

In other words, the NSA & DEA don't give a shit bout you :-)

as long as you know the current price it is as easy as A(the price of BTC) * b (the amount of BTC)

I get my price from the market.
