Who Took The Package

Had a successful delivery once to a high rise in a major US city. Second order I get an automated email from the building saying that a package has arrived from USPS and is ready for pick up at the receiving area in the building. The workers tell me there is no package available, next day I check my email and the notification tells me that the package was picked up within an hour after from when I checked. Every package pickup needs to be signed for with your name and unit #, but I didn't ask questions about looking into the logs as not to raise suspicion. The package wasn't ordered by me or for me so I didn't lose any money; I'm just looking for ideas of what might has happened to it.

Its Christmas. You never robbed mail trucks as a kid during the holidays? No? Just me? Anyway, people love to steal packages this time of the year. He probably thought he was getting electronics.

For odd reasons, I don't think that anyone would steal it. But I've never stolen mail, so I don't know how a postal thief really thinks; maybe it's klepto thing. It is the holiday season after all. I got a feeling it's lost somewhere within the building. Was your name on the package?
