Should I finalise an order that I received, although the vendor went on an unannounced vacation mode and hasn't been seen in 6 days?

Should I wait to see if the vendor returns before I finalise the order? Otherwise my BTC could be going to nobody if the vendor has been compromised.

EDIT: Sorry guys, I paid.

Should I Finalise (Finalize?) an order that I received...

Yes. Why would you with hold someones money who fullfilled their half of the deal?

Vendors go on vacation all the time and vacation can be automaticly started if a vendor has not logged in after X days. Regardless you should finalize the deal, you owe the vendor money for the product you got.

Even if the vendor was nabbed by LE the funds wont do LE any good and you owe the money to the vendor. Also, if you didn't finalize it might just autofinalize any way and you would look like a bad buyer.

Yes. You recieved product. Just be responsible for you.

Release the funds. Thats how it works, they fulfill their end of the deal, and you fulfill yours because thats your responsibility. Even if he got compromised or caught, that's not your problem now.

I see where you're coming from but entirely disagree, you wanna double dip the vendor in the hopes they never return, dick move bro

Finalize that shit. It's very possible that the vendor still logs in to withdrawal BTC (so they can turn it into paper money) and is just on vacation to prevent new orders. It's always best practice to finalize as soon as you can after receiving the product.

Rule #2

It sounds like you just don't want to uphold your end of the bargain, you selfish prick. Release that shit. It's not your BTC anymore.

Yeah, I agree with most of the other responses here. I understand that your question might be well intentioned, I think anyway, but ultimately you don't know what's up, maybe his/her spouse is sick and in the hospital; who knows. It's kind of a dick move either way, and unprofessional, but it's also a great example of the kind of behavior that makes vendors change their rules, including requiring FE. Lastly, it's also about the community - and as a member of the community you have a role to play to maintain the community, follow its rules and codes of conduct, be professional and treat others as you would want to be treated. Pay the vendor, and move on. Just my 3 cents.
