Resolved.. vendor is new and the tracking # he gave me today wasn't appearing but now it is. Despite the gaps in communication and the very very long delay... everything seems to be okay.. will update with a review tomorrow. Since the vendor is new it's understandable, and I have faith it'll be delivered smoothly. Shout-out to the mods here, The Economist best advice. The only strange part is that it was sent today and seems to have been sent out right after I left feedback but I give him the benefit of the doubt.
Hi guys... I've been using dnms for a while and out of the 30+ transactions I've had (all successful) I think I just have my first potential scam. This was for a 1.2 bitcoin order that I FE'd on the 18th of January a week and a half ago on Sunday.... The vendor had a delay, and it wasn't able to be delivered wednesday due to being busy i guess which was understandable. However, I also had a problem cause on thursday I was out of town and didn't feel safe getting it delivered. I asked him if he could accomodate for saturday and he said okay.
Then he says he couldn't pull thru cause he forgot 20 cents postage on the express but assured me the return recipient was safe... not sure if he was busy or just an excuse either way I didn't mind too much... he said he'd hook me up for the wait. So he promised that once he re-upped (which is weird because if he DID send it and it was returned, wouldn't he be able to re-send it? I dont want that order floating around with my address on it....) he would get it out to me TODAY... ive pmed him multiple times and communication was decent until last monday which is the last i heard from him.... I am a bit worried on how to proceed.
please give me some advice. If I got scammed, shame on me. But I don't want no beef with a endor I'm sharing sensitive information with... and I have always left 5/5s A+ ratings for all my transactions since 2012 since I used quality vendors. I hope this guy just delayed/having stock issues... i dont think 1 bitcoin is anything to fret over. I just lost 4 bitcoins on primedice last night lol
I ordered express btw... this vendor has 100% feedback and I never used him before but FE'd since I was very impressed with his feedback. He has 100+ orders.....
I usually only use agora for my vendor go-tos, but this is evo and I only have 3 transactions amounting to 4 btc over the past 6 months. I found this vendor from a forum on blackbank and was intrigued by his quality gear and price ratio...
so basically he told me I'd receive PGP tracking and he would ship it monday or tuesday the last time i received a message from him was on monday. ive sent him 3 questions regarding this no response. is it wrong for me to leave neutral feedback in this situation?
Yes, it was wrong for you to leave neutral feedback. You should leave negative feedback if you don't get your product. Also be aware on Evo you cannot change your feedback once submitted. You should have waited until you were comfortable that it was a scam OR if you got your product, could have left appropriate feedback.
Its hard to decide if you should wait a tad longer b/c the timeline seems to indicate that he failed to send it out within 24-48 hours of your order due to a delay, then you were going out of town and requested he send it out on a later date. He claimed to have shipped it Saturday but fucked up on the postage. He was out of product and promised to get it shipped today. Am I understanding it correctly? Obviously there are problems with the vendor but I definitely would have held off on the Evo feedback just to give buffer in case he pulled through. I think a warning on reddit is appropriate though b/c you can always update that.
You should never take getting scammed on any amount. Getting scammed is NOT neutral feedback. I understand your concerns with leaving negative feedback, but its not accurate and vendors that scam should be stopped and the only way that happens is via the community. I didn't quite understand the timeline but maybe he'll come through. It sounds suspect though, although I didn't check out his profile or other reviews. Most vendros use real addresses that they do not control. His reassurances are either BS or he didn't ship out in the first palce and its an excuse. Maybe he oversold it and just needed time to re-up and this was his delay tactic.
