Awesome customer service from AlphaBay

So I'm a dumbass and used the known fraudulent service bitcoin fog to tumble my bitcoins to AlphaBay. I tried to send .288 bitcoins and only .05 showed up on AlphaBay. Being a dumbass, I at first assumed something was wrong on AlphaBay's end and posted a couple messages there trying to figure out what happened. Eventually my dumbassery became clear when I found out bitcoin fog is a scam. I assumed I had lost the money and just chalked it up as a lesson. But I couldn't have been more wrong.

I logged into AlphaBay today to find the missing bitcoins had shown up in my account! It looks like AlphaBay took it upon themselves to reimburse my dumb ass when nothing was wrong on their end. I just wanted to let everyone know that AlphaBay really went above and beyond in terms of customer service and they definitely have gained at least one good customer today. Shout out to /u/alphabaysupport. Thanks again!

? Why do you think AlphaBay was the sourec of the missing coins? Couldn't it have been BTCFog? Markets aren't in the habit of issuing coins in this manner and I'd make the assumption that it was the rest of your transaction. Also, there have been reports in the sub where people have spoken of their coins not coming through after tumbling through BTC Fog, then they show up days, or even a week, later. I tend to believe this is what happened.

Did AlphaBay support tell you they were going to send you the coin? Otherwise, I'd assume that it was fog.

pretty sure AlphaBay would have said something to you in a message too. Sounds like they didn't even bother looking into it and it was just your tumbled coins.

Yeah, that was more than likely BTCFog. A marketplace isn't just going to give you free money, regardless of how awesome they are.

I haven't ordered anything for a good while so tumbling is an irrelevance to me, but it never surprises me that the kind of people who get scammed by the fog are also the type of people who believe that Alpha credited these coins. When I see vendors complain, then I might believe it . I don't know how much passes through their site but I expect more than justifies them scamming the odd hundred bucks.
