I've never had any problems. Just don't send anything directly to/from a market and you will be fine. That's the common theme in all of these "my account got closed with btc in it" threads

Proper opsec and depositting techniques should always be practiced, whether using coinbase or LBC. I've never had any issues with coinbase, but I also dont use them often/exclusively.

Something I just thought about, could AlphaBay's reusing of addresses for depositing possibly have anything to do with the increase in closing of accounts lately? Perhaps it's making it easier/faster for CB/Circle to tell if you're depositing to a DNM...

Then again they probably all end up in a hot wallet anyway that CB/Circle already are fully away of...so it might not matter that much for this purpose/application..Not to say it doesn't still matter in general.

I've sort of been wondering lately why markets havent adopted the practice of keeping their deposits in the wallets we deposit our money into, and when people withdrawl, just transfering them to the person from the deposit address, rather then moving them ALL to a hotwallet, and revealing that its a market wallet...I get that it would probably take ALOT more resources to actively manage that many addresses for send/receiving, rather then just monitoring the blockchain for deposits...but it also seems like it could potentially be ALOT safer for those that use exchanges that give a damn what you do with the coin you purchase.

maybe /u/sapiophile can give me a reason why no markets have done this...only thing I can think of is that it puts the consumer closer to the vendor, and could be an opsec risk, but then again, its not any better for the consumer to be associated with a market instead....and if the vendor isn't LE/scammer/extortionist/whatever, and is just a stand up guy, vending on a market, this wouldn't matter at all IMO.

What do I know though :P
