dead drops

"A dead drop or dead letter box is a method of espionage tradecraft used to pass items between two individuals using a secret location and thus does not require them to meet directly. Using a dead drop permits a case officer and agent to exchange objects and information while maintaining operational security. The method stands in contrast to the live drop, so called because two persons meet to exchange items or information." Wikipedia

Why nobody uses dead drop delivery? Given current situation with controlled deliveries it should be much safer for both parties. It makes truly automatic vending possible. Eliminates need in communication. It's faster than mail delivery.

[shameless plug] You can experiment with all that on Tochka Market.

This is the worst idea I've ever heard of

Let's take all the safe aspects of DNM buys and flush them down the shitter!

[6 Points] InfinitelyOutThere:

because thats a good way for LE to stake you out? sounds fucking retarded to use DNMs to setup some ill fated IRL deal

[4 Points] None:

Dead drops didn't work for the KGB, so I don't think they're going to work when you're shuffling through a bush, checking coordinates on your smartphone with spotty internet... frantically looking for the fake rock with your heroin in it.

[4 Points] presari0:

This is a great idea.. Your first drop is behind the police department, the cage will be unlocked and left open for you. Drugs are inside -open doors are bad OPSEC so be sure to close it behind you.

This is how that jackass toxin vendor from bmr got ten years...so frderal prison( shameless plug)

Seems legit.

So, what, I buy something from a vendor in California and I have to leave the east coast to pick up a dead drop in Kansas?

How does this logistically even make sense? One of the reasons people use the market is because their drugs of choice are not available locally. The idea of using dead drops just defies logic.

[2 Points] Hank_Vendor:

don't listen to them. they're paranoid and assume the customer will tell the vendor where to drop it, or the vendor will tell the customer where, before he's put it there.

they reason noone offers it is because to do so, we would not only have to tell customers which city / town we live in, to get any business wed have to put our location on our listings!

plus you ever tried explaining to someone over the phone or text, where you are parked in a big car park? can you imagine trying to do it with a gram of white powder in a whole city!!?

[1 Points] Deadpool_n_Hydra_Bob:

No. Dead drops are good for dropping dead people in., that's it.

[1 Points] Yourconscious69:

I know Tarpalin use to offer dead drops all over europe back when he vended on OVDB way before all these markets opened up. I wonder if he is still around under a different name...

Using BTC to cop on a street corner? Imagine all the middle school kids that have to run the cash unemployed because their bosses replaced them with dead drops and digital currency. You are a job killer.
