How is MYUSPS used?

I just figured a lot of people are using something called "MYUSPS" to track packages headed to their drops even if I didn't even supply their tracking code yet.

I wish more of my customers started using this system; but I do not live in the USA so I have limited understand of how it works.

Could anyone summarize how to use it so I can update my vendor page to give everyone this little trick? Is it 100% reliable? It may reduce my workload & allow my customers a safer tracking of their packs. If reliable, it may also help my customers know if their order was accidently double-shipped or forgotten.

You just signup at myusps.com then anything tracked you get notified.

Basically you register your name and address to an online database.which then automatically logs any packages going to your address onto your "dashboard" which you can view at your own pleasure.. So even if you dont have tracking on some packages it will show up on your dashboard because its going to your address..

Ill PGP you my address so you can send some free beezies for the detailed answer <3

You need the last 4 of the zip code too. Anything mailed to my zip without it doesn't show up. You also need to verify its your address when signing up, making it usless for drops (You can't just sign up on a drop, and monitor there packs)

You register an account on usps.com go the dashboard & make a MYUSPS (sub)account, most of the time 3/5 questions are not relevant to your life so make sure to choose none of the above if you do not know the answer. You type in your address & priority, certified, & regular mail will pop in in MYUSPS dashboard without having to type in your tracking number based on the address it's being sent to. It's not 100% reliable by any means, some people live by it, others won't consider it. It works 95% of the time for me.
