I had the same problem. My bank has no fucking idea what code they want, and CEX claims they have to give me the code by law. When I asked what law, they replied that I could get a letter from my bank on bank letterhead saying they can't provide me with the code. Like JP Morgan chase is just going to write any old letter I want them to and send it to me.
Fucking CEX blew their business with this bullshit.
This is after they have my selfie of my id, my selfie with my credit card, I confirmed the amount of a charge they made to my card, and I've already done 10k in business with them on my old cards, but the cards expired.

Never had an issue with them, but I opened my account earlier in the year. I don't recall needing to call bank for any code. Well, only "issue" after being verified and adding my CC was having to call the bank and ask them to let the transaction go through every damn time I bought coin. On my third or fourth transaction in a week and a half, the person on the other line started asking some questions... no big deal as I explained it was for investing, but it seemed I was under some extra scrutiny. I asked if it could, or if it eventually would, be white listed and the answer was a firm "no fuckin way."
Been a while since I bought coins but I tried the other day and didn't seem like anything had changed. Still had to call the bank but I ended up not getting a chance before they closed.
It sucks. I got through the fucking nightmare you refer and then it said we don't offer services in your state. Ask me first.
