How do controlled deliveries work at an apartment complex?

I am almost positive that in my apartment complex lease I signed somewhere allowing them to sign and accept packages on my behalf. SO...... does this just allow LE to come drop off a package. Then arrest me because my apartment complex staff signed for it? Or would they still need my signature, to prove I knew about said package?

I wouldnt get to caught up with controled deliveries they have happened I'm sure but its just extra evidence against you the old icing on the cake. Its not that if you don't sign they are just like ok donut time. Use tails, pgp and tumble your coins. Live free be a ghost.

They call the landlord, arrest everyone in the apartment complex.

I'm drunk, I thought this scenario was funny- its clearly not.

The only CD I have heard real details about had a device that indicates when the package was opened and then they busted in after getting a quick warrant.

A college kid in a univerisity said a while ago they skipped the door man and knocked right on his dorm room door. Id assume they would do the same for an apartment.

My guess is that they would deliver the package to whoever was at the desk, stake out your apartment until you come home and bring the package into your residence, and then bust you. Somehow my feeling is that it would hinge on you accepting the package from the apartment complex, but its hard to say how that would work legally.

My Canadian supplier (I'm not Canadian) mentioned this to me several times regarding signatures on illicit substances (this is mostly, if not only relevant to Canada addresses, but some things to consider in any country nonetheless):

"If someone comes to your door with a parcel under your name, and there is no COD or other tax/duty to pay, why would you decline signing for it? Does that act in itself not look suspect?" - Most people don't even think that such stuff is available thru typical postal/logistical systems.

(A signature [Canada Post] is basically a documented confirmation that the signee did, in fact accept the parcel.)

Now I would say that accepting a parcel with a signature required in any case that has no fees attached to it, then looking confused/curious while signing - maybe throw in a "where is it from? I usually get stuff from XXXX while signing" should make you seem none-the-wiser.

In the US where controlled deliveries for small quantities are far more frequent, any delivery to the US should be made after careful research with a solid plan to deny that you ordered an ounce of MDMA; and make sure you are confident in your ability to follow thru with this "Plan B: Suspected Controlled Delivery"
