Had to sign for USPS Priority Mail?

Hi guys, I live in a pretty big city and in a pretty big and full apartment complex. Our packages that don't fit into our mailbox usually get signed by the front desk concierge for us so that they can hold on to it and we can pick it up and sign for it at our convenience [they still can't open the packs]. Anyway, I usually do not have to sign for priority mail [the normal flat rate envelope] as they usually fit in my mailbox. This time though, I had to pick up the priority mail from the front desk which I find rather odd. No controlled delivery, no LE, no nothing. Anyone have any similar experience or any insight into this? If you guys must know, I ordered pressed pills.

EDIT: Also, vendor was reximus-maximus on Abraxas (reximusmaximus)

EDIT+EDIT: Thanks for all your input guys, really appreciate it!

Fuck it man, stranger things have happened. As long as LE didn't break in and ass rape you all the way to a jail cell, then just don't sweat it bro.

My mailperson (woman) is so lazy that she never puts my priority mail in my box even if there is plenty of room. Total pain in the ass if the delivery doesn't show on MyUSPS.

Some of the carriers just don't know which protocol goes with what. I would not worry about it at all..odd, yes..but you are obviously safe and sound.

Signing for mail is different from actually opening said mail and being unable to deny knowing the contents.

It would be far more suspicious to refuse the package in my eyes as normal people simply never do that.

I would accept it, sign for it, leave it unopened for a few days, and keep an otherwise totally clean house.

Maybe it is a new postal worker (they hire a LOT of temporary workers at the end of the year that have no idea what is going on) that made a simple mistake?

I had a priority mail weird thing a couple months ago. Got a "sorry we missed you" sticker on my door. Went online to schedule in store pickup. The tracking number wasn't valid though.

It ended up being delivered the next day, and fit in my mailbox.

I just chalk it up to postal worker incompetence.

Forgive me as I really only read the title and skimmed through. I assume you're just wondering if this is out of the normal or a safety risk. Don't worry about it. It's uncommon sure, but it does happen. It's happened to me at some point in the past, so don't worry!

Here's some peace of mind, if it was a CD or you were being setup, you wouldn't be posting this now because you'd be locked up. The fact that you can share on reddit is because this was totally nothing to worry about!
