The DNMs can be a scary and dangerous place if you don't know what you're doing. Use this thread to ask questions or give advice on harm reduction & OPSEC!

I have avoided 3 controlled deliveries by leaving a trail of donuts away from my house.

I am absolutely new to the darknet, and I have no clue how or where to begin. I live in Norway, and have no idea how safe it is to buy LSD. Any one have any links on how and where to begin? Would be greatly appreciated.

I'm still kind of new to DNMs and I've looked through the noob subreddit and read a bit around here. I see people taking CRAZY OpSec steps like logging in to DNMs exclusively through TAILS on public wifi only which makes a lot of sense but seems like security overkill. I realize that TOR and encryption ARE breakable by the authorities but are these extra steps necessary? Particularly if you're someone like me who once every few months buys $20 of acid?

Or am I being naive? I've heard that personal use contraband seized at the post office results in a letter telling you that you're stuff has been confiscated and that's about it (though, I'm sure it varies from place to place).

Six months ago I got a love letter from Canadian Customs. It was an international order from Holland. Is my address totally burnt or would it be fine for domestic, possibly international under a different name, or just domestic but with a different name?

i have tried 50 different ways to get tails to install on 2015 Macbook Air. I think its actually the new 10.11 El Capitain has some new perm-feature preventing editing of BIOS. anyone had success w/ 10.11 and running tails from Live USB?

Half of this stuff does more to identify one as a "person of interest" than anything else. I wouldn't touch this kick-starter with a pole that was 10 meters long. Seems like a very public way to say. "Hey! I'm up to stuff" --

And I'm up to stuff.... but it's not that exciting not as exciting as this device would imply.

to LOCK your DOORS, encrypt your shit, minmize the amount of product/illegal items around you (and have a plan for fast disposal if the day of reckoning comes), and use end to end encryption/PGP to communicate. for fucks sakes guys imagine walking into a starbucks with your laptop looking like some kind of Virtual Reality sex machine simulator, tied to wires and rope attached to to ur ankles and just creeping around like some high tech pervert cyborg. that will NEVER draw attention

That said I do think finding good ways to donate to projects that protect internet and the concept of digital privacy (even if the reality is already almost dead) is very important.
