Follow up to letter received from Postmaster

original thread here: http://www.reddit.com/r/DarkNetMarkets/comments/2kqujg/i_got_a_letter_in_the_mail_today/

So to add to this my mother also received the same letter that was addressed to me at her house. I have not lived with my parents in well over a decade and have never lived at the house that they currently live.

Today my mom calls me and says that the Postal Inspector called her and left a message for me to call them. I have not received a phone call. I looked up the number and it seems legit. I still have not received any correspondence at my current address just the previous one. Any suggestions? I don't want my family to get involved in anything as they are oblivious to DNM's

You should post the name and number of the inspector. That way the legions of trolls can make that call for you. If they want info. We should given them info. Tons of it! Let them sift through the piles of bullshit calls! Cops don t rat on cops and our community should take the same approach. Plus the lulz!

IMHO it looks like they are trying everything to get you to respond. My best advice would be to ensure your parents that the claim is false and tell them not to say anything or talk to anyone to do with the postal service or LE. They are trying to gather information and I still think that no response is the best response. You could try talking to a lawyer for legal advice but IMHO they should eventually give up if you don't get in contact with them.

I would advise you to read this thread and the comment I made on my experience with this: http://www.reddit.com/r/DarkNetMarkets/comments/2kqujg/i_got_a_letter_in_the_mail_today/

Right now the Postal Inspector is conducting what is called an Investigative Interview, basically collecting information they may (read will) use in an investigation.

This investigation could relate to:

•you

•someone who sent you something in the mail

•someone who lives with you and may have received something in the mail the Inspector is interested in

•someone who lives with you who may have sent something through the mail the Inspector is interested in

•another postal employee who may have done something related to your mail, or other customers around your area (read stealing mail, throwing it away, etc.)

At any rate you have no legal obligation to cooperate... at this point :-)

Sounds like the bastard is trying to spook you by bringing your mum into this. Don't budge mate. If you do decide to call, tell 'em you just aren't comfortable talking to them without consulting with your lawyer. You can even be nice if you want to.
