Brainstorming - What do you need from your OS when using DNMs ?

We are currently considering building and releasing a linux based distro based on Debian or Suse - of course everything will be open source.

Out of the box the OS will have ANY application you run tunnel all its traffic over tor (transparent proxy, including DNS) - hence all updates can also be done over tor from a hidden service repo, and there is less space for stupid mistakes like logging into reddit from the wrong browser etc...

Full disk encryption if you do not want to run it as a live os, or just a fully encrypted partition if running as a liveOS (from usb).

A decoy partition which loads a normal OS in case of a wrong password.

Secure memory wiping on shutdown.

A "kill" hotkey combination.

Additional out of the box features would be a nice and easy PGP/GPG GUI

A customized and easy GUI tool based on python for Multisig Signing, Reviewing / Verifying etc...

Secure delete (wiping) by default

A copy of veracrypt just in case you want it

A copy of our in house 'suspicious tor route monitor'

A copy of multibit or some other wallet

And a few other things...

What do you think, are we wasting our time and money? or perhaps there is something you would like to add?

We are open to your opinions. Criticism too :)

[5 Points] aboutthednm:

I don't trust any prepackaged operating system.

I like to do things myself. That way, I at least know what's doing what, how it works, and what I need to do when something doesn't work.

I built Linux from scratch. It was hard, confusing, frustrating, but very rewarding in the end. I can say I compiled everything myself. With someone elses compiler, but still.

Yes.

I say focus on your marketplace.

Your granddad thinks this is a good idea if you can follow through and make it work for the general public. Your granddad hates to say it but carders and fraudsters might like this as well

[1 Points] DexOyama:

I like the sound of this idk if I would use it for dnm stuff at first but I would definitely give it a try.

I would use Qubes OS. They're good; Tails OS would be great for nubbies.

Tails works for most things, but some people would like to have a dedicated machine running full root with full hardware access. It feels a little flimsy to have my whole set up on a usb drive.
Something that automatically boots to a clean ubuntu install unless you hold down a user-defined keystroke upon startup would be good. LE would turn your machine on and find a clean ubuntu with nothing on there. That'd be funny.
Maybe an option to auto shut down if the power-adapter is unplugged. I run on a laptop with the battery removed so if shit hits the fan I can always unplug and everything stops. Make sure that "kill" hotkey combo isn't easily input accidentally. Seems like a disaster waiting to happen.
I'd try it out for kicks, but i'd want it to be audited by the community before I went full in.
Remember Liberte Linux?! That was kindof dope.

This will be a waste of time and resources. People use Tails because it's well known and built by trusted developers, nothing against you guys and what you do but I doubt anyone would be willing to trust an OS built by DNM market owners.
