Does this make sense? - shipping

Domestic to domestic. So my vendor said my package was in the mail on Tuesday (the 2nd) and it was sent via express delivery. It is now three days later and no package. I thought express only takes one day.

It happens absolutely.

I had two separate instances where I didn't get my express package for a full 7 days from shipping date.

I had one instance where I wouldn't have gotten my express package at all had I not gotten the tracking number from the vendor so I could pick it up in person, since he screwed up the address on the label making it undeliverable

Ask the vendor to track it for you, if it shows Address is Undeliveable, get the tracking number from him since at that point it's up to you to either get that package or lose it

Three days later

That's nothing. The postal service is unpredictable and I am sure your package will be with you soon. I have had first class parcels (UK) longer than the next day delivery that normally comes with that particular type of stamp. Domestic packages have a very low chance of being seized so if you want a few more days and it does not turn up it's most likely your postman has taken it, it has been lost in transit or the vendor could of scammed you. If you are in escrow then that's unlikely too. All the best.

If he said Tuesday, he probably shipped it Thursday or Friday.

You can check the tracking number when/if it arrives. I have caught a few vendors lying this way
