suspicious package/myusps question

a little confused by something that happened to me quite recently. I was expecting a pack for a little bit of time but I had assumed it wasnt shipped since it was to be sent priority (which it was) and never showed up on myusps. fast forward a few days it arrives partially open as if it were stepped on and twisted or run over or something, black dirty marks ect. in a plastic 'Apology' sleeve.

I know right W.T.F.

Inspecting it from the outside of the plastic sleeve nothing appeared to have been taken out and reinserted since the opening tear was not all the way across the package. So I look up the tracking number and nothing comes up. nothing at all, no scan ins ever. Is this even possible? Isn't one created automatically upon creation? Mind you I was frequently checking myusps shortly after the order and I never saw anything.

So im freaked but my home is clean and opsec tight, was never asked to sign for this or anything so I decide to open it. There it is, all checks out and nothing suspicious inside.

So yea basically, WTF?
Has anyone else had an experience like this? Could the myusps thing just have been it being damaged at the original usps facility and therefore not scanned? Home will remain clean, should I take any additional precautions or am I overreacting? Should I be going from pinky to cucumber?

thx

If the police wanted to bust you, they don't make the pack all sketchy looking and have the tracking acting weird. They are trying to TRICK you, not FREAK YOU OUT and make you on high alert! Think about it.

CHILL BRO

Also, myUSPS sucks ass. don't depend on it or make any decisions based on what it says.

It happens. They said sorry...

I've had plenty of 2 day priority come and never even showed on my usps.

They damaged your pack and said sorry. Be grateful.

I probably wouldn't keep that at my house for a couple weeks

[1 Points] None:

They aren't scanned immediately if they are dropped off at a blue box in the middle of the night, they will not be scanned by the actual local post office, they will only be scanned when they reach the sorting facility.

Plus since it as damaged and such maybe they just have a policy not to scan those items.

Please someone correct me if im wrong but IM pretty sure thats how it goes.

PS: You'd be already in deep shit if this was any way law enforcement related. Relax, broskerini.
