So I am an avid reader of this sub and I have had a couple of orders delivered. I was wondering today about the drug use and the current status of supply and demand in India.
Most of the drugs were legal in India until 1985 when under global pressure, India introduced a Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) act and everything was regulated.
Today I wanted to know the current status of the use of drugs in India and I came across a few articles and statistics I wanted to share.
The Use of the Cannabis Drugs in India
A few things from the articles:
(Area under Cultivation for Production of Ganja and Charas (Hectares) 1893-94 : 2400 (approx) 1934-35 : 640 (approx) 1950 : 236.5 1954 : 184
Total Consumption of Cannabis Drugs in India 1912-13 : 1,993,592 lb 1934-35 : 1,031,496 lb 1950 : 983,565 lb 1954 : 924,051 lb
After which no one has proper data and these figures are very deflated because of no proper reach for a good estimate.
Made in India legal highs flooding Europe Report
India holds the biggest gathering in human history every 3 years with over 100 million people gathering in one city.
The second most famous drug here is heroin.
UN report reveals Indian heroin is going global as supply reaches as far as Canada
India has almost 18 per cent of the world's population in the 15-64 age bracket who are exposed to illicit opiates (heroin) originating in both Southeast and Southwest Asia.
I was wondering why isn't India's demand of drugs considered in the markets. There are 100s of millions of people who smoke marijuana here. The supply is so bad that know one even knows the quality of the real stuff. People pay $50 for a blot of LSD which is most of the time underdosed and you never get to know what quantity you just popped.
I'd love to see more vendor considering shipping here and promoting a safer way of getting drugs.
India is good for quality generic drugs.
Unlike the rest of the world, a drug can't be patent-protected in India - only a drug production process.
Make the same compound by a different route, and it's legal.
