So when all the markets were coming and going, i pretty much ignored all of the news surrounding them. The "No Longer Listed" list as a "never listed" list. Libertas reason is a little "meh", am I missing something?

The reason states its auto-encrypt feature uses javascript and market admins should know thats opsec cancer. My understanding is that it puts in jeopardy uneducated, particularly inexperienced buyers, but not those with enough know how to utilize these markets safely. Seems easy enough to navigate around and fucking let the low hanging fruit hang out down there right?

Or is there larger imlications to that, that I am just unaware of. Because I'm just trying to find a link to check it out myself, since im in the middle of educating myself on this potential monero migration. Any input about Libertas as a market, its security, selection, support, history, shit anything im happy to talk. Merry christmas :o)

Someone correct me if I'm wrong here, but I thought that the auto-encrypt function was axed after it was brought up here..

For some reason the admins here think they're running the United States FDA, The Food and Drug Health Administration. When someone points something out about the superlist they respond with "it will be implemented in the upcoming weeks" like they need to have their board of staff review the case when they can add it in this very instant.

In their own heads theyre probably thinking we know best and we do it this way to avoid corruption or some shit thinking they run Hollywood, when in reality they can get paid and add in a site whenever they want when the subreddit is centralized. The superlist has been useless for months now least they can do it make it somewhat useful while they powertrip.

Yeah it's outdated. Whoever maintains the superlist subreddit is really sleeping on this rn, Libertas is great and fine, just needs more vendors (and a better interface).

It's being added now - early Jan I believe

[4 Points] TheKingOfKingsMill1:

One of the superlist gods mods said they were adding it 'in the coming weeks'

I interpreted this it mean once it has been 30 days since they officially made their announcement here 19 days ago. This means it'll be added in 11 days I assume.

Failing that who knows maybe we could just use the superlist as some kind of museum.

/r/LibertasMarket is their official sub. Their official onion addreses are on the sidebar there.

NEVER let the market encrypt sensitive data (such as your address) for you. Always encrypt it yourself.

The market can always store the plaintext version of your message, and send an encrypted one to the vendor. That way you both think it was encrypted while the market still has the original and unencrypted message.

Also if the market gets taken over by law enforcement, they will store the plaintext versions of the messages that the users sent using the 'PGP encrypt' checkbox to harvest addresses. But they will still send the encrypted ones to the vendor to not make anyone suspicious.
