[CommunityDiscussion] At what point do you start throwing the negitive feedback "alarm bells" for a vendor you think might be exit scamming?

Hey!

So, I ordered ~$150 of product off of a DNM, FE discount of 10%.

Timeline:

T+0 - Ordered

+1 day - They mark as shipped

+2 days - I finalize

+3 days - They say message that they shipped. (Monday night)

+8 days - I still have not received the priority package, I ask and see what is going on.

+8.5 days - they reply that an associate of theirs who was responsible for a lot of the DNM-business side dropped, and they are working on getting everything resolved now.

No reply to my message asking if mine has been shipped, or when it will be yet.

They also replied to one, recent negitive feedback with a similar message and noted that they "send nearly double the btc as a refund" it was a $~75 product so that is nearly $150 as a refund, which seems odd after someone has left you a negitive, unchangable review.

On the other hand, he does have ~250 sales 97% positive reviews and even had a positive review just a few hours ago. Additionally, he doesn't require F/E and I'd say only about 40% of his reviews seem to be F/Eed for a discount.

I'd hate to throw a flase negitive review to someone who has treated me well in the past, but then again I'd hate other people to F/E for him and a possible exit scam.

Thanks!

Edit:

Also want to make it perfectly clear I understand the risks/reward of F/E - and in no way am upset by it. (Savings, by F/Eing other orders practically make up for this even if it is a total loss.)

I'm assuming you're talking about Evolution as you mentioned unchangeable feedback. Do not leave feedback just yet, having it changed is a pain in the ass (you can contact an admin and they can do it for you) and you want that option in the future. Let them know you will leave that review if they can't update you on your situation; either with a tracking number, a refund, or a reship with it's tracking #.

Good luck!

Hello DNMThrower,

It is a tricky one because things can go wrong IRL and it has been known to happen where 1 person in the vendor team can go rogue and screw over everyone, even their own friends. So if this is the case then the Vendor himself would be feeling a bit shaken too and trying to find out what went wrong.

However, how are we to really know the truth so we can only do what we can do...

Advise Support of the situation but also allow the Vendor adequate time to do what needs to be sorted out their end to get everything back on track if it is an issue they are experiencing.

Keeping everyone updated on the situation via their vendor profile does go a long way to keeping their reputation in check and their Buyers aware and not freaking out too much. When bad things happen to good vendors they need to know that their loyal buyers are with them whilst they sort things out...

If this does end up being an Exit Scam then you have done what you could in an anonymous environment to try to minimize any further damage.

Lets hope for best in this case.

Hey everyone, Id really appreciate it if you could stop bashing the sh1t out of me on here. There was never any exit scam first off! 2nd most of this is opinion posted by everyone besides the customer. Just how every jumped on this bandwaggon here, same on evo. If this community could stop calling exit scam before knowing and jumping the gun and doing things like this defamation without having the true story , stop incessantly messaging vendors who they made orders from when btc was down and 2 days later btc is up a bit and the messages start pouring in. Whats REALLY not cool is leaving bad feedback when express tracking shows the delivery 3 fucking days after the order was placed cuz thats good service. Yes there was an issue, no I did not make up a damn thing- I will not disclose any additional information than I have, but the answer is in the comment thread.
