Weird message on EIC

So I'm a vendor and was/am on EIC, and have been checking in there every few days hoping to be able to pull my coins. the following message showed up a few days ago:

"Hi

I was wondering if you might want to team up on something that I and a few other vendors on here are starting. Would like to chat with you if you are free. If you have a moment send me a message on Torchat. My user name is xxxxxxxxxxx.

https://sourceforge.net/pro jects/torchat-messenger/ (<--- DO NOT INSTALL - MALWARE)

Thanks. -XXXXXX"

The name is from a very established vendor, but I'm naturally skeptical. Any thoughts? The software that they link to seems new, and the user that posted just joined a few days ago. The website link just links back to the same page.

Do not download and run that version of torchat!

It has a backdoor installed in it:

Your skepticism is well-founded. That's sketchy as shit. Just stay away.

What you actually want is Ricochet:

...Or, just XMPP+OTR.
