Agora: payment issues repair report (PGP signed)

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA512

Dear users, we are happy to report that all the outstanding withdrawals have now been completed.
Similarly all the deposits made to the addresses in your accounts should now be credited to your balances and usable.
It took a while for the system to work through the queue which has been accumulated over the week-end.
We are still working on some issues, and we would like to warn you that during this week sporadic withdrawal delays of up to 6 hours are still possible (for new withdrawals).

To our best knowledge (and we did spend our time to check) the incident did not cause any loss of money or a breach of security for the information contained on the market. It is known that our security protocols do cause availability drawbacks, but so far they have proved effective in preventing attacks.

We have noticed that many have commented on the other message lacking a PGP signature, which is indeed unusual for us. The message was done in a hurry, we are sorry for the additional scare factor. We are including that message below just to prove we were the ones posting it.

Quote:
Agora: Withdrawals will be restored within the day.
Dear users, we are sorry again for the lack of communication.
The current problems are a direct result of our security model, even though at this time it was unfortunate that many of you had to wait for your money because of this.
As our Availability FAQ has stated, we always value security above availability and feel this is the only way to run an operation like ours. We believe this is also on of the reasons we were one of the few to withstand the test of time and seizures.
The outstanding withdrawals should be complete during the day. For future withdrawals expect some minor delays in the order of a couple of hours between the adding of payout and the transaction broadcasting, until the problem is completely resolved in the middle of next week.
The forums might take a couple of days as well, we are putting all our resources on solving the payment issues.

[69 Points] AgoraMarket:

UPVOTE THE FUCK OUT OF THIS THREAD, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.

Thanks to Agora. Verified with GPG4USB. (Don't trust me, feel free to verify message yourself)

I apologize, I will now delete all my speculative posts about possible thefts and exit scams, as promised. heh.

[28 Points] Deafcunt:

Good, maybe people will shut the fuck up now.

[20 Points] durgsrbad:

Goddammit. There's my tin-foil shares fucked.

[12 Points] select1on:

Thanks for keeping us up to date. Yes, the PGP sig would have dispersed a lof of the FUD but in the end it makes no difference. Keep up the good opsec I think the whole community thanks you. Downtime (although better recently) is a fair tradeoff for security IMO.

[9 Points] ketmaster:

I still don't have my deposited coin that was sent over 24 hours ago

[7 Points] cindelle2:

can this be posted in the /r/AgMarketplace section? there may be some who would be very interested in seeing this?

[7 Points] greyFaux__:

So with the backlog reported clear if we're still missing BTC sent during the incident we shouldn't expect them to turn up?

[5 Points] sheeproadreloaded2:

SheepMarketplace, between being hacked and running for it with our bitcoin, closed withdrawals from friday until Monday night for weeks in a row, with a different excuse each time.

If people can't withdraw next weekend too, suspect that Agora has lost some bitcoin somehow - enough to bring it close to technical insolvency at the weekends when vendors take their profilt and customers take their drugs.

I notice ProfesorHouse has stated doing his thousands of E-book listings thing on agora now.

[4 Points] bafflesaurus:

<3 Agora

[4 Points] epicant:

I transferred money into agora 2 days ago, its plenty verified by now but not in agora account. Who/ how can i contact agora about this?

[3 Points] FestiGear:

[3 Points] ShulginsCat:

Hard core security. Way to go team Agora!

[2 Points] ukthrowdataway:

I knew there was a reason I chose Agora as my first DNM. thanks for coming through!

[3 Points] gunnag0g0:

[3 Points] johnnyfive1:

[3 Points] wtfdotcom:

[2 Points] arghhh371:

Please restore accounts. I have $1000.00 in a wallet I cant log in to access. Thank you very much

[2 Points] sinn0304:

12 Confirmations on a deposit this morning. No sight of my .3btc.

[2 Points] taketheblue0ne:

My money seems lost too. I send 0.2 BC to my agora wallet.

What I saw in the blockchain ino is the folling:

It was received at my wallet at 20.00 yesterday but i saw no credit in agora webpage. Then 22.00 the amount was split in 15 diffrent wallets which are not mine. So my wallet is empty now. I have no credit in agora webpage. What happened? hacked? issues?

[2 Points] agorascamme:

guys.. check your wallets adresses at blockchain!! my coins are no more in the target Wallet!! They have been mooved!! They was staying their until today! Now they are send to another Wallet!!!!!

be carefull!!

[2 Points] mufc2014:

Deposited 4.8 coins yesterday because I seen that the payment issues were over. Absolutely gutted as I've never heard of Agora having problems like this, and it's not looking too promising.

Is it possible that they have been hacked and lost a load of BTC over the weekend, so now people are being told that all new deposits are being "tumbled", when really they are being transferred into a wallet owned by Agora, and then transferred to people who lost their coins first? So basically they are paying everyone back but its just taking days to do so as they have to pay back the ones who lost theirs first? That way they would still be able to operate the site and make their commission off trades and use their commission to pay people off too.

Just a thought

[2 Points] Kinez666:

I lost 14.29 btc. As a respectful vendor of Agora with rating of 4.9 with over 1k transactions. I will never use Agora. Why? Even if they come back they never updated the status on what is going on. Fuck you Agora and thanks for wonderful Holidays. Learn how to run the market. Frozen funds for 6 days now

[2 Points] WillJennsen:

It happened to me too. I got scammed out of almost $400 dollars on Agora last night (11/26/2014). Look up my agora address to see what I mean: 1st part: 15q4eX4w9oGpnrYH 2nd part: oQr2Ekbe4Ci1GV9Njg

It was withdrawn around 3am to a total of 17 different BTC addresses (again, look up my bitcoin address to see exactly what I'm talking about here). I was asleep while all this happened.

Agora needs to be put on the "Active Market Warnings" reddit page asap so this doesn't happen to a LOT more people. And it WILL as long as people are depositing money into their agora wallets.

The funny thing is I was able to send a couple dollars (change from last order) out of my agora wallet to my personal wallet successfully.

[2 Points] WillJennsen:

AgoraMarket Moderator says in response to following question:

Quote: "Who stole my coins??"

No one stole them... does anyone understand what "internal tumbler" means??

It means when you deposit coins on a DNM (not just Agora), they will be removed from your deposit wallet and mixed with other coins.

If the coins haven't appeared in your Agora balance, just give it a few hours. They are probably processing a metric shit-ton of deposits and withdrawals right now. You'll get the coins sooner or later.

Well if that's all it is, then Shit! : ) Lol.... I've been freaking out over nothing. I will update to let others know once my coins show up in my agora wallet.

[2 Points] None:

Been waiting on a deposit I made to my Agora wallet since Friday, I already know I won't be getting anything. We've been scammed.

[1 Points] jimmyd1987:

thanks

[1 Points] None:

If you guys feel it is appropriate, please remove Agora from the Active Warning list, /u/INFINITE /u/LongLiveThe_King

[deleted]

[1 Points] notsafeanymore:

Well, sadly I have to confirm what some of you wrote. I didnt lose much money, only 0,1 bitcoins.

But about 5 hours after I charged my agora wallet the money was transferred from that wallet to another address. Even though I checked my account a few times every hour. It almost seems impossible that somebody could withdraw the btcs right between those intervals.

The claim that no btcs were lost is wrong hehe. Agora is not reliable anymore. I contacted support but as can be expected they never replied.

I would strongly advice not to charge your agora accounts anymore. The risk of losing it is simply too high now.

Sorry for those ppl that lost a lot of cash. Just dont make the mistake of doing it again. :-/

[1 Points] narkoman7657:

lost a lot of coins too!!!

[1 Points] Thameswater:

Hopefully I can order tomorrow

[1 Points] AlwaysDankrupt:

Kinda off topic: could LE get ahold of the computer used by the admin and post a message using the trusted PGP?

[1 Points] 11mk11:

I checked my wallet - and my coins were still missing. so I checked my address on blockchain and found out that the amount I am missing WAS transferred to my address - but on the same day they left my wallet - they were transferred from my address to 2 different bitcoin addresses I don't know. I didn't do it, I didn't withdraw, I didn't even login that night, what happened?

[1 Points] sarwc:

Over 23 hours ago I put in 0.1 BTC into the wallet on Agora it has left my bitcoin wallet and never arrived in Agora Wallet even though i have a statement showing it was put in on 24th nov 19.15pm so where is it?? Is this one of the payments that is still been effected?? help # SARWC..

[1 Points] dangerous617:

I have 6 confirmations through blockchain and still nothing in my account I thought the deposit issues were fixed? If the answer to this is in one of the 95 comments forgive me im at work and cant read through all of them

[1 Points] Gheilmeister:

So my 0.62 bitcoins are just gone? No forum? It's like it's all gone and there is no one here to give us the lost coins back, or even help? According to blockchain there has been as of now 86 god damn confirmations? uh, oh yeah, "confirmations" for my transaction between my local bitcoins wallet and the agora wallet, well thank YOU for confirming, it's so clear to me because the huge amount of confirmations can't possibly leave anything unconfirmed right?

It also says on blockchain that the final balance IS infact 0.62 bitcoins....... So the coins are there... but still not there? Doesn't make sense at all. If the bitcoins obviously is transferred to the the adress. How the hell is it possible that they are not in the wallet-adress on agora? It IS the SAME adress, so if the coins are there, they must BE there, as simple as that..

Those coins I transferred was with the intention of placing an order for the weekend so it could arrive in time for me and some buddies that haven't seen each other in a good while to just have a great weekend for the first time in a long time... This might not be relevant per se, but I just really feel like expressing my frustration at this point... you know 0.62 bitcoins is a lot for some people... please, fix this, and give us all our bitcoins back, as soon as possible..

And the most frustrating thing is that I was aware of the transaction issues. But then I saw the message that it has all been resolved and all... and that's the only reason I dared to even send my coins over to the wallet on agora.. because of that message, telling me it's all safe and everything is okey..

[1 Points] bolo2002:

Yes this is Bullshit, they are talking about all payment issues resolved I have not seen mines credited yet. This is a robbery before they shut down or they got robbed one or the other!!!

[1 Points] bolo2002:

Doesn't make sense to me....security measures my ASS...Why not shut the whole damn site down until resolved, not like anyone can do business....Yet still system allows you to deposit...smh

And I still have not received my deposit but message says that all payment situations have been handled....lies lies and more lies

Hopefully all gets resolved soon this is fukin ridiculous something is not right with this situation as I have seen in the past with many other great escrow services all good things come to an end

[1 Points] arghhh371:

After 357 confirmations my coins made into my wallet...Yeah! Something is still broke and I could only verify my account was still active by have a vendor friend check to see I was still active. Which I am. I still do not understand why It wont let me log in. I asked the vendor to ask the admins to check on it. In the rare case the password is corrupt or this person forgot his password (who has not forgot a password?) Is there a forgot password utility that is not showing up on the log in screen?

[1 Points] ssvegeta9001:

This is an exit scam!!! Do NOT FALL FOR THE BS!!! DEPOSITS ARE NOT GOING THROUGH! THIEVES AND LIARS!!!!!!!

[1 Points] throwthefuckawwaybru:

STILL HAVEN'T RECEIVED FUNDS, I feel like they should issue out another warning saying the deposits are not working ... unless they are indeed scamming you know?

[1 Points] rastamonstahh:

Wow crazy this is still a problem, good thing my deposit from Friday went through and now i can stay away from Ag forever :)

[1 Points] Aus-Supply:

As the blue banner said payment issues have been resolved I thought I would upload $50 as a test.

Been pretty much 2 hours and still no BTC in my account....

Anyone else having this issue?

[1 Points] ssvegeta9001:

UGH! Drug addicts are so stupid!!!! All the up voting because of a BS message. This is sending out false support and encouraging people to deposit. THEY ARE STILL SCAMMING EVERYBODY THAT DEPOSITS!!!!! MONEY IS NOT GOING THROUGH!!!!!!! DO NOT USE AGORA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT REMOVE THE WARNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

[1 Points] jbrown4095:

Why are deposits to the accounts taking so long? I deposited bitcoins to agora over 24 hours ago and blockchain has 100 confirmations yet does not show up on agora. Are other people having these issues?

[1 Points] wtfdotcom:

I think after reading and seeing just how some of these events have taken place this would be an exit scam of some description. Support has answered no questions. I don't think there is 1 person who commented that their coins indeed came through unless I overlooked it but there would be more positive feedback if there were. So I think its safe to assume that we are fucked. I mean....what can you do about it? Exactly!..... Nothing!! Now it would be nice to see shit get turned around but... I wont be holding my breath waiting on it

[1 Points] kaspah_:

Sick of looking my my wallet to see nothing. Everyone saying it's going through the internal tumbler, why is it just holding our cash then? Give us some sort of answer agora admins?!

[1 Points] AnotherScammedIDIOT:

Ok, I have changed nickname and re-signed in for this site, as I did hope for the best as a lot of you have assured me, and called me names and that I was stirring shit etc etc.. I wished I didn't have to come back.

It's been now 2 days and 4 hours! Agora Support has not replied to my message inside Agora. My wallet has not been credited with the 1.9608 BTC I deposited, which blockchain confirmed. Under Balance History (inside Agora), there is no record of my deposit and the 2 withdrawals to 30+ different wallets, which you guys called Tumbling.

SO what should I think now? System still slow and it's all a crazy coincidence? And what should I do? I read a bunch of people got "their money".. I haven't, and all I want is to buy shit to have fun on the weekend.

Can someone help me? If someone involved with the Agora website is readying this tread, can you help me?

If we have been scammed, can someone point me to another website where we can get goodies? Since SR2 closed which one is the next up? Because I have NO confidence to put some BTC on Agora to buy what I need until they tell us what is going on (for real) or fix this.

I read people withdrew all this cash from Agora.. My BTC is so small compared to these guys withdrawing 30 BTC or more.. And I'm not even withdrawing, I just want to use it (well, it then becomes the vendors problem, not mine)

Thanks guys.

[1 Points] ArnoldTor:

Well, I deposit 0.4 BTC yeasterday 25/11 and it hasn't shown up in my wallet today. The transaction has been verified more than twenty times on BlockChain. So in my conclusion the system doesn't work yet and my money seems to be lost or?????

I also wrote them twice, but heard nothing.

[1 Points] nwo4life27:

DEPOSITED INTO AGORA 5 DAYS AGO!!! STILL NOT FUCKING HERE!! WHERE IS IT??????? WILL I EVER SEE IT????? MAN I GIVE UP ON THAT SITE

[1 Points] None:

sorry, but I'm still missing lots of $. Blockchain says I should have 1.9, I have .5....hope this gets settle soon, I'm not a happy camper at this point!

[1 Points] Kinez666:

Fuck you Agora. At least have respect foe your users to let us know how long this is going to take. Waiting 4 days now and no support... Lost price on btc blahh. Bte Agora switching to Evo.

[1 Points] ArnoldTor:

Agora are silent as the grave. No answer, no updates nothing. That's not good enough. Trust has left the site for good.

[1 Points] ArnoldTor:

[1 Points] WillJennsen:

Please excuse my original rant and sorry for the confusion on my part and for spreading misinformation. I apologize and am glad someone took the time to explain the concept of "tumblers" to everyone here. We're grateful!

[1 Points] treyisred:

AGORA IS HACKED. all funds gone. check your wallets on blockchain. all funds pulled within last few hours.

[1 Points] Kinez666:

Take xanax take a big nap hopefully they will arive. Just disappointing that Evo kids are so happy about this.

[1 Points] WillJennsen:

Agora utilizes a technology called an “internal tumbler”.

Bitcoin Tumbler Visual Representation: http://www.anony.ws/image/DFtE

It basically means that when you deposit coins on a DarkNetMarket (not just Agora), they will be withdrawn from your deposit wallet and "mixed" with other coins for anonymities sake before being put back into your deposit wallet (more difficult to track that way). When I saw on blockchain.info that all my money had been taken out of my account (albeit temporarily) to be “tumbled” (I didn’t know at the time that this was what was happening). I grew concerned too. And still kind of am. But at least now I know what's going on, so that's relieving, at least a little bit.

[1 Points] kaznodzieja:

Payments ARE NOT sorted on agora.

4 days and deposit still not in account.

[1 Points] Anonin35:

I tried to deposit some coins into my Agora wallet - after 76 confirmations the funds are not visible in the account wallet...Agora market has been a very good experience so far but it looks like it is going where all the other dark net market website has gone in the past...

[1 Points] plaito:

Deposited coins yesterday and they didn't show, had a small amount of coins in my wallet since before the issues arose and I was able to send them to a non agora wallet...

not sure what this means but at least I was able to send coins that were originally in my agora wallet...

are folk having trouble sending coins as well as receiving..?

thoughts..?

[1 Points] brown0ut222:

"Similarly all the deposits made to the addresses in your accounts should now be credited to your balances and usable." I made a deposit to my Agora wallet on 11-23, and I'm still not seeing it. I trust that I'll see it soon? That statement has me a little worried to be quite honest.

[1 Points] gustavokurt:

anybody tried withdrawing from damn agora?

if its not too risky i will send my coins to some other wallet. got no nerves to wait until shit works again someday in 2015....

[1 Points] JaimzTF:

Made a deposit last night, and it is still not in my account. :(

[1 Points] braybarr:

Deposited 0.2 BTC into my Agora wallet last night. Woke up this morning to buy some shit. BTC aren't even in my account.

It's been more than six hours. Is this something to worry about?

[1 Points] BloodRedBeans:

Thats all great and everything but I still don't have my money I deposited into my Agora wallet late Saturday night/early Sunday morning.

[0 Points] None:

I'm sorry. That's total crap. The problem is not resolved AT ALL! I deposited money to buy my stuff. It never got credited to wallet (it's been 18hours, I've checked every hour apart from when I was asleep) so couldn't buy. Go in first thing in the morning, and someone WITHDREW the BTC I had deposited! Even I don't have the password to take the money out of my Agora wallet. I only put money in there that I'm going to use to buy something. I don't "store" BTC there.. I check every hour to use it straight away so THIS would not happen! GOING CONCERN - SCAMMERS! Blockchain shows that my BTCs were transfered to my wallet account. Then someone transferred them out from my AGORA wallet to 18 different BTC wallets in small amounts (my deposit was only 1.9BTC). Btw, they transferred twice out, first time they took the exact amount I deposited, with 95 confirmations. The second time somehow they withdrew a "negative amount" of -0.19xxxBTC, with 79 confirmations. How is that even possible!!!??!?!?

There it goes my weekend.. I hope I get it back (as if..)

[-1 Points] Husband-76:

FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD

My coins never arrived , and according to blockchain has been transferred to 4 other wallets now... never reaching my wallet.
