Has anyone ever been prosecuted for blockchain analysis?

I assume you are asking if someone has been convicted due to blockchain analysis? Not that I know of. I can't even think off the top of my head that blockchain evidence was even used as supporting evidence.

[2 Points] Satoshi-:

For analysing the blockchain or being analised?

I'm sure you mean the latter.

In this case, There haven't been many reports. But the blockchain is permenent, decentralised and will never change as long as there is a lasting copy of it.

Analysis is progressing each day, coinbase runs automated scripts to ban users who deposit directly into gambling/dnm's by keeping track of the services. This could be just to keep their service running for longer and satisfying LE. But as the technology improves, LE can easily visualise most transactions in better detail.

So in the future we could see some random arrests as LE has more resources in their hands, but There will always be psuedo anonymity with Bitcoin, which leads to plausible deniability.

it's not totally anonymous and i doubt it will ever be for long but just like torrenting, they will probably be after the big time players and not the small ones.

Nop

With regards to drug possession/selling/buying... no, nor will there ever be any such prosecution.

Because once again, the blockchain says nothing about what coins were spent on or how they were used.

"Blockchain analysis" works as hard proof only for investigations involving money laundering.

I don't believe so, but would love to hear from others if I'm wrong.
