Marijuana shipped domestically between legal states, how much risk compared to orders between illegal states?

I know that shipping weed and marijuana concetrates is considered pretty "safe", but what is the risk associated domestic orders between legal states? Is there ANY risk at all? I imagine the only way it would be detected is at an airport or in a USPS/Fedex building and the employee wouldn't care since it's legal there. Is there any risk that I am not seeing? It seems like ordering domestically between legal states is fullproof, or at least receiving to a legal state.

Actually you're misinformed on a few things.

  1. Of the seizures that occur, weed actually accounts for a significant percentage due to the strong odor and requirements to facilitate shipping. One small slipup in shipping opsec can bring down and entire operation. Concentrates and edibles are considered somewhat safer but all said and accounted marijuana related products are frequent targets of profiling and busts.

  2. There is actually a significantly higher chance of a package being profiled from a legal state, because due to regulations and not wanting to bring legal scrutiny upon the state, there tends to be more awareness and more money spent on detection of legal weed being shipped out of state. It's actually a huge thing the postal inspection service has been working on, and trust me, those guys don't give a damn if it's "just weed." If your pack gets profiled being shipped from a legal state, even if it's to another legal state, you can bet your ass they're gonna do everything they can to slap you with federal charges involving trafficking through the mail.

I just honestly have to ask, if you're receiving in a legal state, why even bother using dnm?

Weed is still illegal at the Federal level, and thus is illegal everywhere due to the Supremacy Clause of the Constitution. Under the Obama administration, the 'Cole memo' deprioritzed marijuana-related crimes...paving the way for states to 'legalize' it, so long as adequate controls were put in place at the state level (no selling to minors, keep criminal organizations out of the process, etc.). Sessions recently repealed the Cole memo.

What this all means: It's all kinda in the air right now, and no one knows what's going to happen. Still, either way, you're talking about moving a marketable product across state lines, which is the purview of the Feds (the Commerce Clause).

What this means to you: Maybe nothing. Maybe you could be charged at the Federal level (e.g., 'transportation'). Maybe someone would be looking to make an example of you. Maybe not. No one knows, but I, personally, would consider the risk of moving between 'legal' states to be the same as illegal ones. In other words: One is no less riskier than the other.

Vendors tend not to trust orders from legal state fyi

Ordering domestic is generally very low risk anyway so I would say there’s next to no way of getting in trouble there

Weed is as safe as anything when using proper procedures. Been ordering for 5+ years on the darkweb.

Im not 100% sure as usps is not federal gov office, they are subcontractors yes, but as such marijuana between oegal states iw legal if it doesnt cross into another illegal stqte. I believe domestic is fine thou

I have been getting packs from California and Washington State and Colorado for years now, I have only had one package "seized", and it updated my tracking saying 'seized my law enforcement'. I would consider it very safe, except from the fact that when you get a package from a weed legal area and it is in that red/white/blue priority mail box, you can pretty much guess what is in the package. If I worked at USPS I would be able to flag every weed pack that came through just based off how many vendors ship using the same ole stealth methods with some fake california return addy and same ole box they use for every pack. I would order with confidence I have been getting nothing less than a LB a week for literally 3 years now.

I think the only reason you'd be questioned is because the package couldve potentially crossed illegal states and that's it, idr where i read about this, but it talked about something along those lines
