Current opinion on the state of this sub

I used to browse this sub everyday for years to find all the useful information and to keep updated on the vendors and anything interesting happening. As of the past few months, I've noticed that the comment sections of this sub have become increasingly unhelpful and full of people who don't actually use the markets and just take up space making pointless comments about the drama. I'd even argue that some of these new users are even turning this community as a whole into a more toxic one. I miss the old days when this sub was actual useful for finding out what's what on the DN and not the huge DNM circle jerk that it's becoming. But that's just my cup o tea.

Welcome to what happens as a sub-reddit increases in subscribers, more people trying to be funny to get that karma (attention). But also, a lot of the subs where you would actual need/recieve help would be /r/darknetmarketsnobbs & /r/dnmparanoia, as those are the better designated subs for questions.

But this is Reddit, look at just about any sub, unless it's well moderated, most of the comments are dumb jokes.

[15 Points] MDMangel:

If it is to be it's up to me. Let us be the change we want to see around here. But many of us can agree that alot of folks around here don't belong. Between the xanax drama and the puberty inraged users, there is alot of shit to sift out. But all we can do as useful members of this community is put our best game faces on and try to be respectful and helpful to others.

[9 Points] Hey_pig:

Still lots of useful information here IF you know how to sort through all the bullshit..

[9 Points] None:

Well I agree somewhat. Certainly very different. For instance Pelican. From hero to zero in weeks. I personally put zero worth to any reddit information. To your point I think those same good people are still around but using Avengers forum and TMG.

It can get annoying. With the price of admission decreasing daily more 16 yo are ordering drugs like intitlement. 1 day with no response from a vendor they run here and shout scammer.

Or they think the fucking DEA is after their gram on pot. Or my favorite "what is the top market now"

[4 Points] DickClarkFive:

This sub, while it can be useful at times, I think is more damaging that it's worth. It does nothing but bring in more people who don't know what their doing. The bigger the DNM scene gets, the more heat it will attract.

[6 Points] dlayover123:

The throwaway accounts are the worst. But I agree with your points. We need to be a more inclusive sub but people make shitty comments...however, sometimes even shittier questions that make me go 'omg how is someone asking what is the risk of me buying _______ internationally?'

[3 Points] Vendor_BBMC:

Forums are what they are. every one of us has an agenda, and its the result of all of us writing stuff.

I'd like to see mods coming down on "druggism".

Just because I don't personally use a drug, I don't want harm to come to its users, and in particular, its vendors. I think its alright here at the moment, under economist1's reign of terror. it was shit under lobali.

On reddit the truth will always out - eventually. Sometimes a collective hysteria takes over here, and the truth is nowhere to be seen.

Everybody should say what they want, like they always do, unless there is a marketplace exit scam. Then, if you're not helping, shut up and stay out of our way.

this sub is currently cancer. stage 4. metastatic and shit.

[1 Points] powerman15:

Not enough bartard drama.

[1 Points] Theeconomist1:

I think you have valid points OP. I'd invite you and others to help create interesting content. I do agree that things were a lot more fun a year ago but as is life when something grows like we have.

What suggestions would you have? I'm genuinely interested in feedback.

[1 Points] None:

I feel like there are just to many teenager now here who think they can get rich by selling their shitty speed and xanax and with them all the inevitable puberty induced angst and drug filled paranoia.

[1 Points] CatchHere001:

The only thing you can do is not karma whore and only make informative posts. You can't make people stop posting stupid shit but you don't have to read it. I posted a review today and I plan on posting more. Not for myself but for other people. Someone did it for me so I'm just returning the favor.

[1 Points] Dnm_cunt:

I miss Evo forums...

[1 Points] Stop-Staring-Stupid:

I totally agree buddy with everything you said. This forum used to be fun, informative, helpful, and interesting. Now its just kinda blah whn I come to it. Bunch of shilly ass reviews and a bunch of idiots who like someone else said, would do better in the /r/DarkNetMarketsNoobs

I feel it will come back around though and things will get back to the way the should be soon I hope.

[1 Points] AndThenHeSays4:

I still think it's OK and seems easy to sort through the BS to get the good stuff. What I don't want to see is new people getting chased away because people want to crack jokes instead of give advice.

I really want to see more product and vendor reviews though.

[1 Points] None:

a more toxic one

Hey hey hey, what's wrong with being toxic?

[1 Points] droppingwhen:

I was the same way, now it seems like /b/tards invaded and just turned it into straight cancer. We're dealing with illegal shit that are considered felonies and it seems that the majority are teenagers who just joke around and aren't serious whatsoever. It's awful.

[1 Points] None:

The biggest problem is the sub isn't moderated correctly. A tonne of the dumb shit needs to be swiftly removed, especially all the repetitive noob questions that are answered on the dnmnoobs sub or easily found elsewhere.

[1 Points] crystaldust:

i can't say i know what this sub was like a year ago.

all the stupid questions and paranoia can get a bit outrages.

maybe not the paranoia but the stupid questions auto-mod should be able to be handle. an example of a stupid question; a few times this week it has been asked "if it was risky to send lsd in the mail". a question like that should be easily auto answered with a link to noobs.

the drama seems like it is mainly fueled by jealousy..

the drama seems to be between certain vendors and there respective clients, totally feels like some of these people are still in high school or something shilly. i generally try to obey rule number two by helping out someone even with a very stupid question. however i will preface an answer with....

"are you a moron kid", "maybe you shouldn't be doing this" ?

i don't know if that breaks rule two or not but i answer the stupid question but need to make them feel bad about asking such a stupid question sometimes. i don't know everything, i ask stupid questions and give bad advice all the time, we cant be perfect.

however it seems to me like some people are so stupid, or paranoid they really shouldn't be doing this at all and if calling them out on it smartens them up a bit then its just safer for everyone.

[1 Points] ravendarkh0lme:

Unfortunately after seeing how many approved of the movie "Dope " and a lot of the repeat noob questions we're getting. I'm no longer giving good advice. And blatantly giving bad advice. Unfortunately this sub is saturated with low hanging fruit. The smart ones keep their mouths shut and just wait for the rest to rot. Good luck yall
