How would you go about uploading pictures on the DN?

Besides removing exif, what are known onion picture uploading services particularly for product listings? Also what if any extra steps should be taken to preserve anonymity? Throwaway camera from CVS, secure methods of using a phone camera, that kind of thing

man all you really need to worry about is EXIF data IMO but heres another couple steps that I personally take. some of them might not even be necessary but whatever, this is what I personally do.

cameras can have small imperfections that can uniquely identify them. bad pixels etc. so Alter the image a few times. Do all of the following and you should be okay. First remove the EXIF data. Decrease the pixel count. take a screenshot of the resulting image and then use the screenshot of the image and delete the original. change the format from JPG to PNG. verify no exif data was added by your computer during the process and then upload it to something like anonimag.es

After you delete the pictures from the camera or camera phone, take a high-res video that uses up the rest of the memory on the device. Then delete the video. Then take another high-res video that uses up the rest of the memory on the device, then delete it again. This will write over the data. Just because you delete something doesn't always mean the file is totally gone, so this step is important.

that's about what I do for uploading images.

edit: you better be 100% positive that your phone doesn't automatically back up your pictures to "the cloud" if you're going to use your phone instead of a regular camera.

Check out digimarc. Their existence rules out the use of most digital devices, scanners, etc. All of these devices, phones included, leave a unique watermark that can be traced back to the device they were taken on with every photo. I am not aware of anyway to remove the watermark but have not looked too closely either.

If you want to use a digital device. Buy with cash, preferably off camera. use that device only for listings. Do not connect it to your computer on the clearnet

before uploading the picture, take a screenshot on your phone/tablet of the image and upload that. then get rid of remaining exif
