I'm a fairly competent developer with access to servers and high-speed, stable networks and currently have no side-project that I'm working on, so I'm looking for ideas.
I want to develop something useful for the darknet / deepweb that could possibly be profitable and at the same time useful for people, there are already a bunch of marketplaces and I could rather pick one and help them out / give them tips for improving their site(s) and security, so I wouldn't want to make another market unless there's a huge demand for it.
Current ideas: - A "better" bitcoin tumbler (I have some ideas on how to improve on bitcoinfog's process), but there you have the hurdle of getting people to trust you with their bitcoins, and to make the service as effective as possible you need a lot of transactions.
A secure and encrypted e-mail service, for example browser/frontend encryption (never send / store any clear-text information on servers or on the wire). The biggest issue here is how to charge for it, everyone knows that servers and bandwidth aren't free so one would have to cover the expenses at least.
A secure messaging / notepad/book system, same basic idea as above, encrypt the text in the browser before sending / storing it on the server(s), with optional self-destruct on read etc. Encryption with either pgp keys or a pre-shared key that can be exchanged securely. Same issues as above, how to charge for the service?
Ads is one way to "make money" off webservices, but I'm not keen on the idea to let ad-networks track my users if they're supposed to use a secure service, and everyone knows that as soon as you have an ad in the webpage there is someone somewhere that has your browser-fingerprint and/or ip-address.
Gambling/Casino sites, video-poker, scraps, over-under, black-jack and other casino / crypto games for crypto currency, I have a couple of clearnet cryptocurrency gaming sites already, I could adapt these for the darknet/deepweb but I don't see the point of hiding or gaming anonymously except for those that only want to use the darknet/deepweb.
Messageboards, chat-service(s) with security features such as closed / encrypted groups or chat-rooms with pre-shared keys or similar, though this has the same issues as the mail/notebook service, how to cover costs without using ads?
Darknet/deepweb to clearnet proxies (tor-vpn services), for those that wish to surf the clearweb without leaving information about their browser, isp or location behind - I have services running for the opposite (pay-for-access) where users can connect to my vpn-servers and get access to the tor-network via an extremely secured serverfarm.
I'm happy to discuss other ideas and even input for the ideas listed above, feature-requests etc.
Cheerios!
At this point someone needs to develop some innovations into the Darknet scene. We already have Bitmessage for secure messaging and emailing. There are enough casinos and gambling sites on the clearnet already. We have TheHub; which is a cross market message board and DarkNet/DeepWeb proxies aren't needed since we have Tails, I2p and TOR already. There is a lot of room for innovation but you got to think outside of the box since so many developers are currently already trying to proof their ground in the Darknet.
