  2. Dr Clu arrested

/u/shulginscat posted about the possible arrest of former SR moderator.

  3. Judge eviscerates Dratel

/u/memememe_ posted a wired article in which Judge Forrest stated, of the defenses new line of questioning being stricken from the record

"I'm done with this issue," Forrest eventually told Dratel. "I'm not suggesting you should like it or agree with it,
but that's the way we're going to proceed."

  4. Dratel continues questioning

/u/uncle_unicorn posts a wired article in which, "Without obtaining full control of the website and arresting its leader, a new one could be created, the agent explained. Dratel noted that this indeed happened one month after his client's Oct. 1, 2013, arrest, when Silk Road 2.0 hit the Internet. Ironically, the same afternoon that Dratel made this remark, federal prosecutors in Washington state unsealed allegations against 26-year-old Brian Farrell, who allegedly used the moniker "DoctorClu" to become a "key player in Silk Road 2.0." Dratel had no comment about the development except to quip that Washington state also lies in the Pacific Time Zone." was written

Dratel's smart. Everything is a strategy. This is for the jury's sympathy. he returns and apologizes for another likable trait. He's softening them up.

Ulbricht's lead lawyer, Dratel, may be out of the courtroom today because he broke a tooth: http://ia600603.us.archive.org/21/items/gov.uscourts.nysd.422824/gov.uscourts.nysd.422824.156.0.pdf

Is the trial canceled for today? Who knows?

[5 Points] None:

Wired has reported that the judge has ruled on at least part of the prosecution's motion to exclude some of the cross examination of the Special Agent.

It is not clear whether Dratel will be able to continue his line of questioning regarding the Mt. Gox/third-party guilt theory, but it seems the Judge has excluded any reference to the Forbes interview with DPR (which references the purported change of hands of Silk Road ownership) based on hearsay grounds

Wired Article

EDIT: Thanks to /u/SexyAmeriCandy for clarifying that the interview was published in Forbes, not Wired

Thanks for remembering!!!

[3 Points] Axaq:

It's really getting to me that the prosecution knows that the case is starting to fall apart, so they are objecting literally everything the defense throws at them. The defense are apparently trying to introduce points from the criminal complaint and they're dismissing it as hearsay still.

how is an IRS agent the one with all the leads? chasing blockchain trails?

[1 Points] redmittenlol:

Just to ask, is this trial public? As in I can just walk in an listen in?
