Just a little time ago this sub used to be filled with interesting posts and discussions and look where we got now. More and more posts are about things that are already explained in detail in /r/DarkNetMarketsNoobs. People are too lazy to search and just post here so this place gets cramped with bs posts.
So, I've been thinking how could mods improve it and I came up with a few options:
- Hire few more mods who would be responsible for redirecting noob posts to their belonging sub. Since some people are too dumb to read the sidebar, the only way I see this working if someone responsible for it redirects posts to /r/DarkNetMarketsNoobs.
- Make redditors unable to publish their post unless certain amount of posts have been posted. Posts coud still be submitted but would have to be approved by one of the mods. This way, mods could still let through vendor reviews and stuff like that (which most of the time are written with throwaway account).
- Create an invitation-only sub. Only invited ones could post, but anyone could read and comment. This option seems least favourite to me but I would still like to choose this one rather than doing nothing at all. Even if I don't get an invite, I would be happy to read quality content about my favourite topics. There could be a system where people could be invited from /r/DarkNetMarketsNoobs after making certain amount of posts.
These are just a few options and I believe there are many ways to deal with this. I just feel that not enough effort is put in this exact problem. I know that mods are pretty busy most of the time but most would probably agree that we really need to do something or it's just going to go down.
The subreddit is fine as is. If it aint broke don't fix it. Yes there are a lot of repetative posts, and a lot of assholes, but this is the internet..
Its a great resource as is.
