False advertising of potency of concentrates on AB?

In the past few weeks I've placed a few orders on AB for concentrates, with some vendors stating 85% THC. My most recent order, the vendor claimed 94% THC in his shatter.

I don't know if it's because I've built up a tolerance (I rarely smoked weed for 20 years until lately when I visited out west and tried some oils) or if it's because the quality of product on the DNM is not as good as they advertise.

I should note that I don't dab- I have a KandyPen, but for a number of reasons, I'm not looking to invest in a rig.

Because the stated percent is bullshit. I have a med card and have seen 80's but never higher. That is tested strength.

Anyway the pen is good but nothing like a rig. Buy dual coil quartz rod TI wrapped atomizers for it. If your pen can handle. That will help quite a bit. I never used a Kandy but if it has harm reduction built in it will just slowing vape it. More like smoking a strong joint. Will last forever!

I have smoked a long time and 60-70% wax will give you a zinger like a crack pipe!

94% THC shatter... lol

94% of stats in that vendor's description were pulled out of his ass. If you asked for proof there would have been none (if I had proof my shatter was 94% you can be sure everyone would get to see it!). 50-70% is more typical.

All testing is going to be misleading at best. Having run a medical store before, "companies" only have to test 3.5 grams of flower, and anything they want labeled under that test will have the same result on the package, you can sell blue dream as your "Sour D" test if you really want to, nothing stopping this. You often see something "tested" at 26% thc on flower, and then are disappointed in the results when smoking. The flower you smoke likely wasn't even from the same plant that got tested, or even from the same harvest as the test results can be used for 90 days after.

The same is true for the "lower" tested product, as you can get some product that out shines product that tested higher.

For concentrates, all you need is a half gram tested. Test results will show you how potent that batch was, but are nothing to rely on as that isn't the product you are smoking anyways. I tested my old hindu kush, in 3 spots. All 3 results were different, with the highest and lowest % being 7% difference. Obviously someone smoking the nugs from the higher tested plant would have a stronger effect then someone near the bottom. This was from the same plant, same harvest. Now imagine the difference between each of my clones getting different levels of light etc.

Testing is a joke, and it should carry no weight in determining if the product is good enough for you or not. It is very easy to get a product in the mid 80-90s tested with concentrates, and then use that for your batch ID to increase sales when the product that is going to be sold under that is really in the 70s at best.

Pens suck I can vape however much and i'm never satisfied unless I take a fat ass dab. But the thc percentage is bullshit, people just think they need to make you think it's the cleanest best product you can get. A lot of people have no idea and will just assume that's right.

But me on the other hand, this is the best month I have ever seen on the dn for oil price and quality wise and i've been buying concentrates solely from dn for over a year
