Can anyone convince me that gramsflow isnt evil?

Why does gramsflow pause for so long while it redirects? Is it collecting and compiling usage stats for the different markets? Or is it injecting evil code mitm? Not saying they're LE or anything, I just dont trust em for the redirect service. I type in my jawns manually.

The reason we do it is for advertising. So yeah I guess it is kind of evil.

Because the redirect is done in HTML as it assumes the user has JavaScript disabled. They default to a 4 second wait so the user can read the page:

 <META http-equiv="refresh" content="4;URL=http://agorahooawayyfoe.onion">

So the wait is client-side, not server side. If they were logging loads of data at the server side it would probably still be fast on the server-side though.

Is it collecting and compiling usage stats for the different markets?

Probably, but that doesn't mean they're evil.

Or is it injecting evil code mitm?

It may do at some point in the future, no way to tell. No reports of that so far though. That's the worst case, second worst would be de-anonymizing users using some sort of timing attack... they know which onion you're going to and when.

Most likely though they're just in it for the advertising revenue.

flow is run by grams.. grams is not LE because grams is a very nice tool to benefit all buyers and vendors to do better business.. LE would never promote this tool
