Had an interesting convo

There's this guy I know who's a friend of a friend. He tried to OD to heroin three times. All bought from the deep web. He went on a rant about easy it is to use the dark net market. He wishes that the NSA or another government agency would shut down the markets or monitor everybody to make sure nobody can access such markets. Furthermore he wishes tor would be banned. What do you guys think? I'm pro-drug choice and pro-right to death btw.

I'm pro being an adult and getting to decide for myself. Why can't I have my access simply because you can't control yours?

He tried to OD

It was his poor decision making to do that. He tried. I try to work out and eat healthy. Those are good decisions to make. Those things lead to good health. Trying to OD on heroin leads to poor health.

all bought from the dark net market

It does not matter where the drugs are sourced from if the same poor decision making process is in place.

Using the same logic as your friend, it could be said that alcohol should not be able to be purchased at the store because too many people are driving drunk or beating their spouses. No, it was not the store selling alcohol. It was the terrible decisions made by the person while they were intoxicated. I feel that there is not enough personal responsibility for people's actions and they want to blame other mechanisms (the store, the substance, an anonymous browser).

As others have said, a brother can't get some thc gummies because someone else isn't responsible with their usage? Doesn't seem fair to me.

Btw I also believe if someone wants to die, let them. 👻

Is he pissed at the dnm because he got low quality heroin and now wants them gone?

I think it saves more lives and does a great job at harm reduction. The things people will sell as certain drugs on the street is scary. And most drug users don't test whatever they are using. Not to say DNM are perfect, but it is definitely night and day when compared to buying off the street imo

fuck that guy

Do him a favor and buy some fent and get it over with.

I think your friend is silly

[0 Points] PirateRadioSignal:

I disagree with your friend on the first count, and say there is no point in arguing the second, as we don't really know what happens when you die. It could be pretty awful, being dead, and not that "sweet release" the poets of the ages have portayed it to be.

The problem with the logic I see immediately in the first argument though is that prohibition doesn't really help anything for anyone involved. We would simply rebuild or find another way. Humans are stubborn like that.

Coming from a country which is suppose to be founded on freedom which I put 9 years of my life towards defending. I am sick and fuckin tired of the govt and all those 3 letter agencies telling me what I can and can't put in my own fuckin body. Especially since i am trying to drown half of those memories from those 9 years. Freedom? Pfft.
