I still want a sub Reddit breakdown.
[19 Points] throwitwaywaywayaway:
But don't forget that it's fine to joke around with our safety because there's no way the Feds would be interested in Reddit...

A litigant issued a subpoena to Reddit seeking his or her own account information.
Reddit advised that the user could request that Reddit provide them with their own information directly. The litigant subsequently withdrew the subpoena.
What a special little angel.

Everyone knows /u/AlpraKing was the account that had the real time monitoring.
[8 Points] MT_Merchant_Mangler:
The 1 from Canada has got to be the one and only /u/AlpraKing

Why is no one here or on r/conspiracy talking about this? The megathread is nice, but... there are certain implications we should be looking at. Like the spike in warrant acquisitions. Or the dead canary.

Have fun dealing with all the high school kids that comprise the majority of the subs

This doesn't change much but it is nice that there is some level of transparency. Always practice proper OPSEC. USE PGP.
[2 Points] da_rill_dill:
Wonder if that emergency subpoena was for dnm_cunt....
[1 Points] Cianwoo:
Legitimate question because I didn't read it all, but is there anything surprising about this year's transparency report? I mean we should all expect that the requests for user info will go up just about every year.
[1 Points] KaptainDublU:
53% of those accounts were subpoenaed? Damn.

YAY IM FAMOUS!

Thank you so much for posting this. Quite sobering, although it's good to see Reddit taking such a strong stance on the first amendment.
( reprint from link) Pen Register / Trap and Trace Order. A pen register is “a device or process which records or decodes dialing, routing, addressing, or signaling information transmitted by an instrument or facility from which a wire or electronic communication is transmitted, provided, however, that such information shall not include the contents of any communication . . .” 18 U.S.C. § 3127(3). Reddit complied with this order.
This is why I NEVER use a smart phone(and am always looking for ways to step up my OPESEC) to do something I want to keep private!

Am i the only one who find this information to actually be GOOD news?
millions of accounts and only 131 TOTAL requests lmao.
I don't see why this worries anyone.
