What does personal use mean to you?

I've been chilling on this subredit for awhile now and have heard "ohhhh it's for personal use, don't worry about it" resaid a thousand diffrent ways. Well, what do you guys consider personal use for your vices? One mans hobby can be another mans habbit. Me and my close friends normally need at least a QP of maryjane a month to get by

I'm a collector so none of it makes sense to me. If I see something of good quality at a good price, I'll buy hundreds if not thousands of said thing for myself as to not have to search for it again in the future.

this is a great topic. mark it a community discussion... Cocaine- 1:8 or less (but could be charged with trying to produce crack) weed- ounce or less Xanax- under 100's MDMA: gram

Personal use is enough product for one person to use for that specific time.... People are able to do large amounts of certain drugs once a tolerance is built... but for the aspects of legality i would suspect any amount larger than the ones i stated above would be hard to defend as "personal use"

Anything I can put in my mouth, up my nose, or in my veins for the next few months.

Personal use in terms of Marijuana is, in my book, as much as I need to keep my household from suffering. Being from Cali, and having cancer in the household since the dawn of medical decriminalization, personal use is very clearly defined for me and mine by the back of our prescriptions and the terms of our caregiver agreements.

For other drugs, I consider 2 doses each for my partner and myself as defined by erowid reasonable. Id extend that to anyone else.

Personal use in regards to addiction is an entirely different ballgame. Theres no telling if someone is stockpiling grams of heroin to save money on their own head, or if they're planning to distribute. Its a weird grey area there in my mind (but not in the laws).

When you see people saying that, it is a small disclaimer to the LEO's they know are watching. It's like saying "Dont waste your time DOX'ing me, I buy non-felony amounts."

Everything psychedelic that I hoard because they are non existent where I live I deem personal use... lol

But it's a diceroll. You're right I've been around here for awhile and have heard a million different opinions.

How the hell are some of you people smoking 2 oz's a month? And OP needs a QP a month? I used to be high all the time and I didn't come anywhere near those numbers.

[3 Points] None:

How many people are your close friends, though?

If you're buying a QP for you and your friends that's just kind of the definition of not personal use. It's not selling or being a dealer, but it's not personal use.

[2 Points] 42215618:

Personal use means that I use it personally. I only purchase for personal use.

[2 Points] BeerSuxPotRulz:

If you ask my opinion, any amount is "personal use" because whatever someone wants to do with their drugs/chemicals/substances should be their own personal business as long as they don't hurt anyone (i.e. drug cartels, gang violence).

But I guess to answer your question, it comes down to the specific drug and the individual's habit. As long as it isn't some farfetched amount (many pounds of weed, ounce of blow, sheets of LSD, etc.), I think it could be considered a "personal" stash.

[2 Points] rappercake:

If I'm not selling it for profit, it's personal use. No matter how much it is.

[2 Points] eyekantbeme:

It means you're not a vendor (IE drug dealer) IRL or on the DNMs. You're just a druggie basically, lol

My friend normally has at least an ounce of weed wax and 1-2g of MDMA for personal use (weed for every day use, mdma if the time is right once every couple of months). She says when she's getting close to 28g of wax it's time to re-up. She says she never wants to run out and doesn't want to go with lower quality at the last minute so she always buys in advance. Smart girl.

1 oz weed, would last me 2 weeks

[1 Points] 13tom13:

enough for yourself w/e that is 1 to 2 ounces a month would suit me fine

[1 Points] ChewyTheSheep:

Personal use isn't the difference between a hobby and a habit it's the difference between either of those and having a large enough amount to indicate you couldn't possibly be doing all that by yourself even with a huge habit.

A QP of bud and 1-2 hundred of each of the three major benzos, and an ounce or two of mushrooms

For me, personal use means what I would smoke / drink / ingest alone on an average day.

I might only smoke 1-2g of mid-grade reefer on a normal day, but if I have more and someone comes to visit, I'll smoke more. If I'm having a bad head-day (stress, nothing going right, too many people talking to me at once, etc.), I'll smoke more.

For me, personal use doesn't account for either of those situations. It's just what I would use by myself on a regular day.

[1 Points] BigSexyandDisgusting:

I used to push it pretty far with my collection, but then it started to give me anxiety about the list of charges that could bring, so other than cannabis, it's order and consume. Oh, except for a few painkillers. I got jumped bad one night, the hospital gave me fucking motrin. Shit, I was happy I saved those oxys for that rainy (metaphorically speaking) day,

The line of balance is often difficult to discover. For one man a personal use is for another man a habit of great danger. For one man even a single use man cause great harm to the emotions of the psycholoical of his friends and kin. Is it the right of theirs to be so harmed? Is it the right of his to become emotional with them and know his actions harm them? What man is to say? The line of balance is difficult to discover. What comes with freedom is the intertwining of responsibility.
