What does LE do when a market exits?

So, I don't know a whole lot about what goes into running a market or into investigating one, but I find it a very fascinating subject and would love to learn more about what goes into both sides. My question is though, after a market exits, what does LE do?

I assume that they are, to an extent, running investigations on every major market, no? They probably don't have the resources to follow every personal vendor shop, but there aren't THAT many major markets. I mean, if you go off the Superlist, you have CGMC, Tochka, Zion and Libertas, and then there's Dream and Wall St, both of which aren't on the list, with Dream being the largest out of all them. So Dream undoubtedly has an active investigation and I would guess the others do, maybe to a lesser extent. But what happens if Dream were to exit?

Does LE continue to investigate them? If so, what exactly would there be left to work off of?

My thinking is kind of split both ways, on one hand, it's clearly not easy for them to find the people who run these markets, and during the time of these investigations they are making MILLIONS of dollars, if they just let these people get away with exit scamming, they are basically encouraging people to run these massive drug markets, and just dip out before getting caught, becoming Millionaires with relative ease. On the other hand, is it really worth it for LE to continue to try and follow whatever scraps are left when they could be diverting those resources to other investigations?

Does LE continue to investigate them?

Maybe. Who knows? My guess is that they couldn't care less about people being ripped-off, and would rather spend the time & resources on those whose hands they can catch in the cookie jar (active markets) in order to get those big, headline-grabbing 'wins.'

Please note that WallStreet Market is not listed because of very serious issues. You should avoid it at all costs.

I don't see much they could do once a market is gone. They've definitely been investigating the market while it was up, but if they can't get enough evidence to take down the top guys while it's up, there's no way they're gonna be able to get evidence after they've shut down unless the admins go bragging or are caught laundering the money they've made.

When it comes to vendors exiting, I wouldn't be surprised if LE just tossed any investigation they had on the person, unless he was moving some serious amount of fentanyl or some shit. Just not worth it trying to pursue someone selling a couple thousand bucks worth of magic mushrooms every month.
