Hello guys,
I'm new to DNMs, but not to technology. I've been doing research for my first transaction and the information flow is overwhelming. I'm happy to have found a trusted vendor, but I'm a cryptocurrency and mixing virgin.
For my scenario, I need to launder my bitcoins. Some people recommend Grams' Helix tumbler, others some simple/complex schemes which doesen't involve tumblers but which I currently don't fully understand.
BUT! Have you heard of Monero(XMR)? It's a cryptocurrency where transactions are anonymous by design. Check out their website/subreddit. Search DNM subreddit about it. There is a strong positive feedback.
So I've came across: "XMR.TO allows you to make a Bitcoin payment with the strong anonymity provided by Monero. This means that using Monero together with XMR.TO, you can pay any Bitcoin address in the world, anonymously". Also there isn't any tumbling fee.
Would you please provide argumented answers to my questions?
- Have you used Monero/XMR.to? If not, would you?
- Why DNMs don't promote XMR.to? It seems truly free and anonymous.
- If XMR.to isn't the unicorn I'm looking for, should I go for Helix?
Thanks.
Yes I use Monero, not just for tumbling or DNM purchases. XMR is the next step in crypto in my eyes. A private blockchain? Why didn't bitcoin think of that 😛
I don't think Monero is quite large enough to be on the majority of DNM user's radar quite yet. Perhaps with a gui and more time, people will finally recognize the necessity of true fungibilty in their cryptocurrency and secure privacy of transactions.
I have no fear of XMR.to running off or turning into scams. The founders/admins of the site are active members of the community and very helpful fellas, always welcoming newcomers to Monero. I can tell you I would trust XMR.to and the Monero protocol before even considering a tumbler.
Crap I think I went on a rant...my apologies. Anyway, you could always check out shapeshift.io if you have reservations regarding Monero or specifically XMR.to, cause like that's just your opinion man.
