Quick Burner Question

Hey guys, was curious what you'd think of my opsec.

I am using a prepaid cell phone to sell some drugs (I'd say I'm a medium fish). Cell phone has no connection to me whatsoever, but I just leave it on all the time and I connected it to my home's WiFi. Associates of mine just use their regular cell phone numbers to openly text my burner about deals. I launder the cash I get from selling, never direct deposit.

I was thinking about using my burner phone to buy $200 worth of bitcoins with cash using LibertyX. Bad idea? Can the coins be traced to me in any way? I would be sending them to a wallet created completely through TAILS.

EDIT: Phone OPSEC is hard, do your research before you jump in to avoid making retarded mistakes like me.

OK, I see all your points. I am new to dealing so I appreciate the tips.

I paid for the phone and its bills w/ cash, its not registered to my name, and I use it for sales. I leave it on most of the time and just take it wherever. So connecting it to my home wifi was a no-no? What am I supposed to do, take out the battery every single time I come home so my address is never traced? If connecting it to my home WiFi fucked me, I am more than willing to chuck it.

I just want to figure out a way to exchange cash for bitcoins anonymously (will potentially try localbitcoins), so that I can re-up with dirty money, and I wanna work out if the way I'm dealing is safe.

I am not vending, just flipping darknet packs. Medium fish was definitely a stretch, I make maybe 1000/month at most.

Hm okay thanks for all the advice fellas. You guys are obviously much better at this than I am, and I appreciate you taking the time to educate.

I took some time to think about the way that similar dealers in my area operate, and I am already years safer than them (they use their private cell phones to openly arrange deals in amounts >$500). And you're worried for the safety of my customers? These dealers seem to be the low-hanging fruit. This level of opsec would be useful if I was some kind of hacker god/drug kingpin, but I'm flipping darknet packs for $1000 a month profit. I am chucking this phone and replacing it (on account of your advice), and being more careful to take out the battery when I get near my house.

So when cops get a warrant for your phone records, do they get the entire location history for your phone? Do they get the locations messages were sent from? I'm confused how much information they can pull if I managed to snap/chuck the phone itself.

I know how to buy and sell bitcoins, I'm not a complete idiot. I was curious if there was a way to exchange cash for bitcoins anonymously without raising any eyebrows, but I already had my answer (LibertyX).

Apologies; I have no clue how big "fishes" are, if someone could educate me that would be great.
