Why is sourcing banned here?

Honestly don't know why but would like to know

The true answer is because reddit admins will close the sub if we have sourcing or direct dealings.

We toe a very fine line with them and we are lucky they let us exist....basically if we have sourcing posts they will say the sub is a front for drug dealing, the mods will be shadowbanned, the sub closed and the community disbanded.

That's why we are so strict about it and hand out bans for it, it's not that we like being dicks, it's that we have to be.

because this is a roleplaying sub, we don't actually know where to buy drugs.

Probably to protect Reddit, I assume...

Because selling drugs is illegal and this is the clear web. Linking to darknet listings and vendor profiles will get you flagged. The moderators of this sub don't want heat, as there was last year with the subpoena... gwern had to go through a lot of shit for us and we should be thankful. He kept this sub going.

TL;DR sourcing will have this sub banned from Reddit

This sub has been put on notice by Reddit admins that sourcing is not allowed or it'll could get shut down. I think we'd all like sourcing to be allowed. It would be a great asset, but this is the number one place for darknet info and if it gets shut down we lose a valuable resource.

There is "Dark net deals for the week" sticked, so sourcing is not completely banned.

Besides what Coffe said do you realize what opportunities sourcing gives to scammers?

To put it simply... they dont want another r/jailbait in simplest terms

Sourcery is banned because it is a Dark Art. Ye speaketh of sourcery no more!

And also no one here actually takes drugs, we just pretend to look cool
