New info emerges about Letter Agencies' backdoors into Windows systems. (Cover your webcams).

The government can remotely identify and shut down automated security protocols in the case of a physical raid.

If you have surveillance set up around your drop (I know some of you do, assuming you haven't left the community and moved on), make sure it's set up independently of your Windows computers. Otherwise it's useless for anything other than an LE stop and chat, and low-lives trying to steal your packs.

This is somewhat basic stuff but it's still worth posting here.

Extrapolating from this information, it's reasonable to assume they can also access your cameras and microphones to peer into your home.

TAILS and Tor aren't the be-all, end-all of darknet anonymity, make sure you stay on top of the latest developments in the cyber-security field and avoid becoming the low-hanging fruit.

Accessing webcams and microphones is old news buddy....been doing it for years. In fact it's also possible to activate the webcam with the LED disabled as well...better chuck the phones too because even with it off they can remotely turn it on and listen and record gps coords and other data as well. If your IOT cams watching your drop is under default config with a backend pass for firmware updates you're screwed too. Not saying paranoia is necessarily a bad thing but these are things they will do if you're moving serious weight...and any of the people on this sub aren't doing that unless they're vending. They may act like they are, but we all know those who talk big usually are full of shit.

Windows is a bad plan from start.

There is a great episode of Vice with Edward Snowden talking about this, it's been posted on this sub before.

He says the government is using technology we buy and carry around, like a smartphone, or keep in our homes to spy on us.
