Actually, I own something capable of doing this. There's nothing to "connect it to" and no "hiding it" to do. I simply have a 2.4ghz linear amplifier. I built it, it runs on 12 volts, I can use an antenna about 6" tall and steal open wifi from about a mile away. It's pretty terrain dependant though. It helps if you are above the network you are connecting to. I don't use it for the darknet, just to steal free internetz.....

I could use a higher gain antenna to get more range. Like a modified sattelite dish or a yagi beam...

This is all illegal of course.
