EDIT: Okay, since everyone is going Paranoid American on me, here's the deal.
A legal citizen (no felonies) can walk into most states stores and purchase a firearm. This does not require fingerprints, a photo, or anything else other than your signature and a NICS check. If you want a gun instantly, you can use a CCW but this requires fingerprints.
If you are in a restricted state and think this prevents you from owning a gun, you're a moron. Go to a neighbor state and do a handshake trade.
The point of this post was not to argue that not every single american everywhere can get a gun, but that firearms are easy to get in the USA and if you can get one legally, do it.
Two posts in one day in /r/darknetmarkets, and every one asked about Executive Outcomes.
Here are the posts:
http://www.reddit.com/r/DarkNetMarkets/comments/1vx2do/firearms_or_all_just_scams/
http://www.reddit.com/r/DarkNetMarkets/comments/1vv6zv/any_experience_with_uk_guns_n_ammo/
So, with minimal effort as I'm pretty high at the moment and don't feel like typing more, here's a modified response I gave the other two redditors.
EDIT: Okay it's longer than i planned but hey it's good information.
EDIT 2: Just realized that a few of these are not proven scams. I don't think the real UK Guns & Ammo is a scam, and The Armory (again not related to the SR project) is also not a scam.
This is just from reports on forums - these two don't have any bad reports and have a presence on previous markets.
Executive Outcomes (http://5zkfuvtrpotg2nzd.onion/) copied The Arms Depot (http://1tbk56ste4xzdptu.onion/ - DEAD) which was a short time legit vendor on The Armory after acrting as a reseller for 2 major The Armory vendors that were caught/left, which then started scamming everyone with their reputation and walked out of the game after FH went down.
Just prior to FH bust, The Arms Depot apparently got upset at Executive Outcomes and offered a $5,000 bounty for the owner of the site, which was taken up by a hacker group and subsequently led to Executive Outcomes shutting down for a few months.
Executive Outcomes is back up and running and scamming people but is generally a well know scam.
Global Guns (http://gazat1zfu2ptvbnd.onion/Link on hidden wiki - DEAD) was a 2 month endeavor that claimed to also be related to Executive Outcomes in the latter part of 2012 that also got nothing but scam reports on SR and BMR forums.
UK Guns & Ammo ( http://tuu66yxvrnn3of7l.onion/) was a good dealer on The Armory (which isn't related to the weapons dealer) but this is not the same dealer as the one on TorShops.
BMR Forums has a few store links, and of course the hidden wiki is filled with fake links and scams.
The Armory (http://armoryx7kvdq3jds.onion) are from BMR and claims to use escrow, and they also feature a completely empty subreddit at /r/the_armory. At least this one went through the trouble of getting a novelty domain.
When the hidden wiki comes back up I'll cover some more, but I have some scam links on the wiki backups I have since they are foten changed.
The ones left out are EuroGuns, The Gun Store, and another that's more recent than my latest backup. I just realized the hidden wiki is shit. Add that to this I guess.
It should be noted that UK Guns and More on BMr was legit, and was also legit on The Armory. But - the TorShops website is not legit, so I'll dig around and try to find their old PGP key. Otherwise I;d just look on BMR forums and try doing some detective work, I've had enough of researching these guys and going through their sites source code (helps weed out multiple sites owned by a single scammer).
Summary (and to repeat the "not scams" only mean they don't have any scammer feedback on SR and BMR forums)
Scams:
- Executive Outcomes (http://5zkfuvtrpotg2nzd.onion/)
- Arms Depot (http://1tbk56ste4xzdptu.onion/ - DEAD)
- Global Guns (Link on Hidden Wiki - DEAD)
- UK Guns & Ammo ( http://tuu66yxvrnn3of7l.onion/)
Not Scams*:
- UK Guns & Ammo (They didn't have a webstore, just a BMR profile & The Armory profile)
- The Armory (http://armoryx7kvdq3jds.onion)
- Euroguns (On Hidden Wiki)
- The Gun Store (also on the hidden wiki)
*This just means I couldn't find any scam reports on BMR, SR, or any of the older forums.
For those that livein the USA - I've done the research enough to know just buy your own damn guns. Seriously, why do so many Americans buy illegal guns when they can just walk into walmart and buy one? If you are not a felon or criminal just buy a gun legally - the government does not have a gun owner list, and it seems only the crazy right wing nuts believe this.
If you are a criminal (or just looking to spend some completely legal bitcoins....) then you may opt to look into any vendor you consider yourself - I'd recommend at least a week of research asking both them and multiple forums about them.
While scams seem to be the dominating issue with buying a firearm on the darknet, don't forget you could also be entrapping yourself in a legal clusterfuck.
What I do realize is that while there is a large market for criminals for blackmarket firearms, there are people that live in shit places that really do need some form of protection. Not sure how mail is delivered in these areas but it seems some arms manage to get into these countries.

Thank You.
