As part of a recent order from Reximusmaximus I received a small sample of his new Ketamine. Since I happen to be an analytical chemist with access to a GC/MS, I tested it. Reximusmaximus was aware that the sample will be tested. The transaction was done thru DHL and was smooth and delivered within 3 business days on the west coast.
Market: DHL
Vendor: Reximusmaximus
Shipping/Stealth/Communication: Perfect (5/5)
Sample: White, granular powder. Sample appears homogeneous with even particle size. No picture since there is no point.
[Non-chemists can skip to 'conclusion']
Equipment: Late model GC/MS with NIST11 compound database; fully tuned prior to analysis
Method: 1ul injection; Split inlet @ 120C; Ion source @ 250C; Full scan from 60-800Mhz; Temp 90-250C @ 35 mins plus 5 mins bakeout; LOD @ 0.1ppm [estimated]
Prep: 14mg of powder in 20ml MeOH; sonicated for 20 minutes; votexed; no further dilution
Detections: 3 TICs; 1 major and 2 trace.
Major Detection: Ketamine @ RT 15.3; Spectrum match: 98; Area percentage: 99.45%
Trace Detection: 2,2-dimethoxybutane @ RT 1.65; Spectrum match: 88; Area percentage: 0.21%
Trace Detection: 13-Docosenamide (Slip-Ez) @ RT 26.1; Spectrum match: 92; Area percentage: 0.34%
Conclusion: This sample is extremely clean; based on the area percentage and the complete lack of even minor contaminants (except for traces of the precursor and a lubricant commonly used in pharmaceuticals) I would put the purity at above 99%. The sample is cleaner than most ACS grade chemicals and appears almost USP (pharmaceutical) grade. Unfortunately, the GC/MS cannot separate isomers, hence I cannot make a determination to which isomers are in the sample.
