Dispute vs Auto-Finalize?

Placed an order 10 days ago, haven't received tracking number and vendor hasn't responded for a couple days now. Hoping for the best but in the event I don't hear anything, should I just let the auto-finalize timer run out? Or do I dispute before that? It was done through escrow. Order was marked as shipped the day after I placed order.

Dispute!

I dont know which market you are using but if there is an option for extending the auto finalize date, then I suggest doing that.

Happened to me with one vendor where the pacakage took like two weeks to arrive, and this was not during any holiday season, and it was domestic.

I extended auto-finalize twice because I didn't want the drama of dispute.

Look at the reviews from other buyers. Some vendors have a bad habit of sending out the package much later than the sent date on the market just to keep the money in escrow.

Also vendors get busy during this time of the year so perhaps the vendor that you're using just doesn't have time to respond to every single message. Couple that up with the fact that mails are very slow during this time of the year.

My guess is that the vendor sent the package later than whats posted on the market but accepted the order and marked as sent to ensure he has the money locked. I think it's a dickish move on the vendors part to fo that but at the same time I understand why they do that. Maybe they'll give you some freebies.

If your market doesn't have the extend auto-finalization option then dispute is unfortunately the only way to go. That alone will catch the vendor's attention.

Good luck

Thanks, I’m in WSM purchasing from Craigman who actually has really good reviews so it sucks that this is happening. I was hoping that I had finally found a good ambien vendor :(
