How safe is a ordering to a PO Box

I recently ordered a pack from a vendor but he messed up with postage or something so it will be undeliverable and eventually will be opened by USPS so I figure my address will be burned very soon... I'm wondering whats the differences of ordering to a PO box compared to a street address. Is it like the same exact thing or is it a higher risk?

Every step in this dance has some inherent risk involved. I personally believe that you're safer at a bigger PO. Box than one in a little po dunk town because the people there are usually too busy/stressed to go above and beyond the call of duty. In smaller towns, there isn't as much mail, so there's more time to probe and snoop. I could be way off base but that's my opinion on it.

Either way, you don't want to provide any fake names or anything. That's another crime in and of itself and you'll just be setting yourself up for more charges and suspicion.

The whole point of a PO Box is to receive your mail like a normal address.

A PO box is great place to receive packages.

And by using one for these purposes, you avoid sending vendors your actual home address.

I appreciate that last layer of separation.

If the address was messed up, how would your address be burned?

And PO boxes work fine although some vendors won't send there or won't give a refund if it's lost so you need to be careful and read everyone's refund conditions if you choose to use one.

The only concern is is you live in Australia. In which case, our magical super customs will flag your package and it is more likely to get seized. (This is anecdotal)
