So a while back CartelNorteAfrica announced they were going to be featured in a Vice article. It took a while but it came out today (CNA explained the delay, no problem there).
Here's the article: vice.com/en_ca/article/from-the-mountains-to-the-mailbox-i-spent-a-weekend-with-a-deep-web-drug-dealer
But here's the catch. Vice basically wrote the same type of article about thescurvycrew (for those of you who don't know, they were a big vendor who I believe exit scammed). And guess what, it's the same author. So is CNA the thescurvycrew, i don't want too cause any problem for CNA (because they've been a great vendor), but it seems like it. Lol the author knew it was the same vendor (I mean come on) but still wrote a new article seemingly making it look like it was a whole new vendor. If I was CNA, I would stop doing these article especially using the same author, the LE are not stupid.
Anyways I'm just rambling on here, I thought the article was an interesting read and wanted to let you guys know about it.
Any thoughts on this? Do you guys see any other relation between both articles? And most importantly do you think CNA might pull the same bullshit as thescurvycrew? Is this just a repeat of the past?
PLEASE do not read these articles, by visiting the sites you show interest in such clickbait-y and poorly written articles that encourage vendors to compromise their opsec. I skimmed through the TSC article some time ago and it really made me cringe how bad the vendors opsec was [real life meetup and stuff] and I think that this article is not going to be any better. save yourself some time and nerves by not reading them, you really do not miss anything out.
as for the vendor: stay as faaaar away from him as you can. doing an interview [especially with vice] is reason enough to stop using a vendor [lack of common sense and unnecessary high profile], but if it is true that he also was TSC then you either loose your money or get into legal trouble if you continue using him.
