Does USPS transfer things on the weekend?

If shipping first class from point A to point B usually takes 3 days of shipping (e.g. ship Monday and arrive Thursday, ship Tuesday and arrive Friday, etc.), should Saturday and Sunday be counted as "days"? If something shipped from point A on Friday, would it be expected to arrive at point B Monday if it normally takes 3 days, or would it typically be later like Tuesday or Wednesday?

Mail always moves even on sun. It does not move from the postoffice on sunday thou... just trucks , planes, trains , boats etc...

What others said, also depends on pick up time. If the post office picks it up by 3pmish (varies depending on location), it will most likely make it into the plane that day. If it doesn't get picked up til 9pm, it'll sit til the next day.
