Package Probing - A small warning and reminder. Thoughts?

Hey all. Stealth is important. For all those that order on a regular basis - beware extra attention. Sometimes when you order too many times to the same drop, even after long breaks in time, people notice and get curious and sneaky:

This is a package received recently: A hole for probing?

The spot had received a few orders and this was the last order before retiring the drop. Without the background light the hole is not nearly as visible to the unobservant eye, and it was only noticed because two previous packages had similar markings.

The weird thing about the hole is it hardly seems accidental; the fabric on the package is very difficult to rip by hand, even strong hands with thick, ape-like fingernails. Benefit of the doubt says maybe the corner of a heavier box damaged it when stacked in a pile. In this case - my freedom's case - fuck benefit of the doubt. The potential of a little sneaky person probing for whatever reason is far too great of a risk to one's freedom. Change your drops.

I think it was accident.

I highly doubt this. Unless the vendor or you are being watched, the postal workers making minimum wage don't give two shits how many packages you get. If you are being watched then even one package is too many.

I doubt that it is a "probing" hole. Its probably just a tear made my a sorting machine, and paranoia is getting to you.

USPS can't open your package at all without a warrant, and if they have a warrant then they sure as hell wouldn't cut a small hole and then leave it for you to find and become suspicious.

Any postal worker would lose his job (which has awesome benefits) for sticking their fingers in your package. They need a warrant to open your mail, and if they had a warrant they wouldn't be making a hole, they would just open the package normally. If someone is probing your mail it's probably a thieving neighbor. I have had neighbors in my old sketchy neighborhood open up my amazon packages and fucking SCOTCH tape it back up when they saw it was something uninteresting (I think it was school supplies lol). I only found out what was going on after my neighbors saw some sketchy dude rummaging through all our mailboxes that were on the front porch a week later. It is much more likely that it was just damaged in transit.

The entire premise of this post is nonsense. They need a warrant to open your mail, and poking a hole in your mail isnt some loophole that lets them get around that.

Hypothetically I have had entire packages opened up (like ripped apart in two pieces) but the contents still there. It happened a few times my guess is that

1.) Post/LEO Open package illegally but cannot easily tell what the items are (stealth/non transparent) they must deliver them. I have had stickers saying "damaged in transit' kind of thing. They could 'accidentally' see the contents.. for example.

2.) Postal worker opens package thinking it might be money or something they like. In some countries the express post workers are contractors.

3.) I have no idea. Maybe learning techniques or gathering intel.

Yeah, that hole's big enough for a probe. They usually just jab the probes right through the middle of the package too, to make it look accidental. Or do they?

the hole would be clean lol
