Suggestions

I made an order from a very reputable vendor. The vendor still has excellent feedback. I got a sticker on my door a few days ago saying I have a package I have to sign for at the post office. I have never had to sign for packages before. Should I let this one slide?

ye that sounds about normal to me, you have nothing to worry about. Stop tripping and go pick it up!

If you're in the US, the tracking info might reveal if it had a stop in the postal inspector's testing facility:

Getting busted at the post office is not unheard of. One thing to consider is the cost of LE staking out the post office for days, and whether it is worth it for them. Depending on the size of your order and your money situation, I would consider letting it sit there for a while or trying to get them to leave it unattended at your door.

If you won't be present at the time of redelivery, make sure to sign the peach colored slip and leave it at your door. Some types of mail require you to be present at the time of redelivery. Read your slip to find out if you need to be present.

Ok, those are some good suggestions. I checked the tracking and it doesn't look like it was hung up anywhere.

Those slips generally have a space that you may sign and ask for redelivery. Place a bin or box on your porch and ask them to place it in there. This nearly always works.

If the shipment is from overseas or express, some carriers simply demand signature even if waived. They aren't supposed to, but when I lived in the USA, my carrier was a bit paranoid and made me sign everything. I never worried about it.

Do you know for sure that its even the DNM package? There was one time I happened to order something legit that required a signature around the time I was expecting a package. I was nervous and when I got hte pink slip, it was for the legit package. Sometimes, but often not, they will write who the sender is on the pink slip. I think this differs from carrier to carrier - years ago it was never filled out, but more recently it has been.

Also, is it at your normal post office? Someone posted here months ago about getting a pink slip but it was at a downtown location that was NOT their usual post office to pick up packages. All my "signature required" packages end up at a particular post office without exception. I know if I got one that was elsewhere, something is up.

Just some thoughts. Keep us updated as to what happens.
