Bitcoin confirmations?

Is anyone experiencing terrible fucking delays? I put a fee of 20 cents which is nearly way more than enough when I'm sending btc. I'm aware of the flooding going on in the market (73k unconfirmed) and am just trying to get an idea of when this is going ot confirm.

Ya, going on 12 hours now.

Usually send a fee of ~$1 through and usually starts confirming within 10 mins. Small price to pay instead of having thousands tied up for hours

Thank god it's not just me. About to hit 22 hours for me.

$0.20 is not enough given the congestion currently. You should have set a fee of at least $0.40 or more to get a relatively fast confirm.

It all depends on the size of your transaction. :P

You can use the following link to see what fee you should use: https://bitcoinfees.21.co/

The current recommended fee is 180 satoshis/byte. So for a transaction of 226 bytes you should pay about 40 cents. :P

This might also be helpful: https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/

And next time you could consider using RBF in Electrum, with RBF you can increase the fee of your transaction after it has been broadcasted.

You can try https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/

If this does not work there are two things you can do to make it confirm faster

  1. Use a wallet that has Replace-By-Fee. New versions of Electrum (Included in Tails 2.10 or newer) has this, you have to activate it in preferences. This only works for transactions created after activating and using this feature. If you did then you can right click the transaction in History and click on "Increase fee".

  2. If you did not spend the full amount of your wallets bitcoins then you will have a change output in your transaction. You could spend this in a new transaction to yourself, this new transaction should pay a higher fee to compensate for the missing fee on the first transaction (parent) + pay enough to cover this new transactions fees. This is called CPFP, Child Pays For Parent. If you sent bitcoins to Bitcoin Blender i have implemented CPFP since two months ago and you can just click a link on the support page and the system will calculate the missing fee and bump the transaction through CPFP for you.

Same here bro, up to nearly 48 hours for me.

Mine took all day yesterday, went through some time this morning

[1 Points] onionland_star:

Yes. It's taking a long time. Unfortunately, need to set the miner fee higher if you want to jump line.

Is there any speculation as to why the congestion this time around? I know last time had to do with some Indian country changing the backing of their money...

16 hours so far, still pending.

[1 Points] elfer90:

20 cents aint much... 45cents-60 cents usually does the trick lately

I use Alphabay's Queue option, where you can click the button to make an order straight away, and the vendor will only ship the product once the bitcoins confirm (which could happen in the middle of the night as far as I'm concerned)

the last three weeks toke like 8 to 12 hours to get 3 confirmations to me and get the cash in my wallet
