General Vacuum Seal and Mylar

Can someone link/explain the process? Will a vac seal seal Mylar? I am currently under the impression that "food saver" quality is not up to par. Amazon links to specific products would be great.

Hope this constitutes a general stealth question.

Cheers,

VZ

These come with zippers but you can easily vaccum and heat seal over the zipper part.

What gives you the impression that food saver quality that you can purchase at your local WallyMart is not up to par? I thought a vacuum bag was a vacuum bag.
I'm more concerned with a vendor cleaning the outside of the vac bag with ISO to make sure there is no residue stuck on it.

Depending on the mylar you will most likely need a different machine for the mylar. Look up heat sealer or heat impulse sealer.

Impulse sealer will seal vacuum bags (obviously it won't vacuum the air out though) I don't believe that a food saver would seal a Mylar bag though, doubt that it's hot enough
