Woohoo!
Partisan politics aside, last night was another great push for legalization of drugs in the U.S.:
Oregon will be following Colorado's steps and creating a commercial market for marijuana.
DC voters approved a measure allowing up to 2 oz, but because of their unique status as a district it might still fall apart.
Alaska will allow up to 1 ounce of weed for personal use, and grow up to six plants.
California approved prop 47, which reduces possession of many drugs to a misdemeanor. Weed was already an infraction, but this proposition reudces the penalty for possession of other drugs. Not quite legalization, but we're getting there.
Florida voted for a legalization measure 57% to 43% but failed to pass the 60% bar required for ammending their state constitution. Oh well. Two more years.
FYI It doesn't become law until actual legislation passes in state assembly, but that should happen pretty quickly.

EDIT: Thanks to /u/Sluisifer who dug into the California proposition wording. Apparently, the drugs that fall under this proposition do not include LSD, shrooms but include some psychedelics like peyote and mescaline. See the comments below for more details.
Decriminalization is the true goal of all this. Equality is impossible without it. Everyone already smokes weed, its the minorities who are punished for it. Most white people just want it to be easier access to the good stuff.
