Is it bad that I've spent the past 3 years buying BTC for DNM's on the clearnet? And anyone got a guide on how to set up tails?

I didd'nt think sites like Localbitcoins were even accessible on tor, and now that I realize they are I'm worried about that fact I've bought thousands worth of coins off of my account on the clear net. Is this bad?

Also, anyone got a guide I can use to setting up tails? I dotn quite understand what they are

I have been as well. As long as you are mixing the coins properly I don't think you have anything to worry about.

It is impossible to say who own what wallet. It is like saying you own that $5 because we saw you touch it. If you never say that you own the wallet no one will ever know.

Tails is pretty straight forward if you follow the TAILS website. It seems confusing, but it is best of you take the time to actually learn from the site since it will benefit you in the long run.

No, it isn't illegal to buy bitcoin.

/r/darknetmarketsnoobs has a guide in the sidebar.

Of greater concern is whether you bought the BTC using method that can be tied to your identity, and if so, whether or not you tumbled them before sending to DNM's. Assuming you are buying for personal-use quantities, and buying the BTC anonymously (cash deposit), then the only way to tie the BTC back to you would be through a "blockchain analysis", which has only been used one time in the history of DNM's, and that was to nab corrupt DEA agents during the seizure of Silk Road.

OTOH, if you have bought the BTC online, clearnet, using your bank account and personal info, and then sent them to a DNM without a tumbler/mixer/wallet or something in-between, then yes you have exposed yourself and will have some cleaning up to do.
