So...Libertyx is now all around. But...

LibertyX has just added a LOT of new locations. There were zero locations near me, and now there are 6 in less than a month, I was really happy as I heard they are the answer to anonymity issues with bitcoin. I figured you would just create an account with an email, password, username, and then just buy and redeem your pins, but it seems they require a working phone number for SMS verification, and it reads on the site that they may require a drivers license.

Now I realize you could use a fake name, buy a disposable phone, and if need be, jack someones DL (well it would have to match the name of the poor unsuspecting person whose name you used) and upload it, and it's still way more anonymous then linking a bank account to a site, as there is really no faking that, but i don't know. I guess I thought the site was going to require a lot less hassle to stay anonymous considering all the great reviews. I did not think I was going to have to consider buying fake phones, making up fake names and possibly upping bogus DLs just to redeem a pin code. But obviously, never using the site, there is still a lot of ignorance on my part.

Can anyone that is a regular on the site comment on how they feel using the service, and to what lengths they had to go to in order to stay off the grid. For example, do you need to have a burner phone everytime you redeem a pin? Can you just talk a little bit about how easy or not it was for you to remain anonymous during sign up?

A burner phone is cheap as fuck, and there are apps/websites that create burner numbers.

Also btc isn't illegal (unless you live in NY I guess lol)

Sometimes you just get so exhausted from being stealth. I might fuck my OPSEC this one time and just tumble. I hear grams has been backed up with all the Agora withdrawals but I think BitBlender is on point.

I'll spend the extra money and buy a burner phone next week and use a dummy name. I should not be so lazy, but tumbling will make up for it.

It looks like you only need to verify your number once and you are good to go, so I can just throw the phone in the garbage afterwards.

Anybody know where I can buy a cheap burner that already has minutes on it? I looked at some phones at Walmart, but it looks like you need to buy the phone and then set it up online, which requires a name. But I know there is a way to buy phones with minutes already on them. And since its a one time verification. I only need to receive one text.

If anyone could point me in the right direction to where to buy one of these phones and maybe list the store and brand to look for, I would appreciate it. Thanks for all the posts guys.

Go to a walmart and buy a prepaid phone with CASH. I paid < $20 for it.

Activated it via their automated process. Back in the days, when cell phones weren't smart, I used to activate phones after hours. This was because when you tried to activate it during business hours, you would have to give information. After hours it would redirect you to their automated system. I've been doing that ever since and have never had a problem. If I hear a live operator and they ask for anything besides the code, I hang up

I wanted to update my experience with them. And it reads this. Fuck them. I went to 4 of their locations, no one had any idea what I was talking about. So I followed the instructions on site, explaining the service and how they may not know they have it, they still said no. So I showed them the website, got their managers, still said no... This was 4 locations.

Then I called 3 more, all 3 said no, however, one knew what I was talking about and said that they DO NOT use Qpay or LibertyX, not now, not ever, that is a quote. I spend a good hour driving and made 3 calls. I called their support and emailed them, nothing yet, but its Saturday, although it says 24 support.

So right now, I have a bad opinion of them. Just my experience.

Just an update. Still no word back from support via phone or email. It's been over a day. It could be the holiday weekend, but I was under the impression that they provided constant service.
