OSPEC Q: Tracking international packs

I'm sure you have all heard the myth (is this actually true or fud?) that checking tracking via TOR flags your package.

You lack plausible deniability if your IP is tracking a pack that gets seized.

Best ways to track packs?

I'm thinking a mobile phone that connects to 3G, obviously one that isn't on a contract or been topped up via card. Cash only on a pay as you go...

go to a random destination, turn the phone on and track your pack, when finished remove battery.

Can even get VPN apps for phones too now

Thoughts?

whats the point of tracking it anyway? in all my DNM orders, not a single time have I been compelled to ask for tracking. checking the tracking isn't going to make it arrive faster.

MyUSPS will show all packages that are being tracked to you. It leaves plausible deniability because you aren't actually looking up a tracking number. So the same rule of "anybody can send you anything" still applies.

There are a bunch of thirdparty tracking sites that you can give a tracking number, just visit one of them using Tor and toss the tracking number at it.
