Anyone experienced pressing pills?

Let's consider this (clearnet) eBay listing:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/molds-2090V-tablet-press-pill-press-die-pill-maker-TDP-0-1-5-5-6-/321644079653?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_2&var=&hash=item76dfc235d6

Since I am too poor to buy a pill pressing machine, is it feasible to buy a die like that (or any of the other hundreds available) and make a pill by creatively using a drill/block of wood/hammer to affix the bottom and center of the die to and pound the shit out of the top of the die, similar to how this "press" works:

I've seen a Pfizer die on Amazon but this is my first time seeing one on eBay. lol.

Yes, what you want to do will work. Rubber mallet is the tool you want to use.

Sweet... yeah Ive done a little bit of research since I posted this, it seems very easy especially if you've got the die to pound some pills out. Just curious, thanks

Yeah you are going to need a binder such as microcrystalline cellulose or your pills will be crumbly. Just a word of warning in my state having a press with a custom die is a major felony so don't get the die brought through customs

I'd wager that making your own manual pill press would not be too hard. I've never personally done it, but the machine itself is just a lever operated press. It pushes two things together...I mean, you could probably attach a piece of wood to a bench vice and manage something.

This is a bad idea. These things are closely watched by Feds. If you buy one expect a visit from the DEA. It's a felony to possess a die that matches a commercial imprint in most states.
