So I finally figured out that there are a couple commonly used cash deposit banks close to me and I can do completely anonymous cash deposits to purchase coins on LBC. Check one.
I also created a new anon LBC account over Tor which will soon become my only BTC purchasing account. Check two.
My only remaining anonymity concern is about metadata on pictures. Virtually every LBC vendor requires that you upload a picture of the receipt after making the cash deposit to verify the transaction.
If I take a picture with my phone, send it to my computer, and upload it on LBC (using Tor) as a JPEG or PNG file, will it conceivably contain metadata that could reveal my identity if my LBC account was investigated or compromised? Is there a way for me to completely wipe this data from the pic before uploading it? Using a Mac, fyi...
I know this is a fairly minor issue and it's not something that concerns me all that much... I just want to be sure. Thanks!
There's an app for iPhone I use called "investigator". Picture of a magnifying glass with a camera inside. Wipes it for you. I've used it for reasons exactly like this.
