Does signing up with My USPS really work on tracking your package?

I've heard things about the USPS site being able to track your packages without a tracking number. But I've also heard that it's unreliable and late in posting updates. Has anyone had any experience using this site or knows anything that might be of help? I would greatly appreciate it!

It might if you can get the questions to verify your identity right. I have answered them factually correctly on 6 separate occasions and it still says failed.

I ordered 2 packs last week from 2 different vendors. One showed up on my usps. The other didn't. The one that didn't was sent priority express.

What if you don't actually click on the link when they sent you updates? I have mine set to send me emails every time the status changes so I don't ever actually have to click on the link and go to the USPS website. The time I ordered before that 2 out of 3 packs showed up through my usps. It seems hit or miss.

Works every time for me. I have it set up to send me both text and email notifications as the pack moves thru the system. I never check tracking.

It seems to be hit and miss. Some have said their DNM packs don't usually show up on it. Some have said that it depends on how postage and tracking was obtained apparently. I don't know why that'd make a difference since it's supposed to work by OCR'ing the address. Stupid. Leave it to the govt to build something automated that has those types of exceptions.

I remember reading on here that some dude tracked his package via his home IP, and LE was able to pin it on him as his package, since he knew to track it. Worded another way: it absolves you of plausible deniability. If you're going to track, go to a library or something.
