USPS / Informed Delivery sucking for anyone?

I ordered two things from two different vendors, both ship from different parts of the country, on Saturday. Both were marked shipped Sunday night obviously not getting picked up or even going out until Monday. Well one order was from the opposite side of the country and sent via first class snail mail. That showed up on MYUSPS / ID. But my package that was supposed to be shipped priority mail coming from a state not too far away hasn't even shown up as a shipping label created in MYUSPS / ID. I'm hoping that the priority package will show up today and just hasnt been getting scanned, but that's a lot of scans to skip.

Anybody else having problems with MyUsps / ID?

no but i am noticing over the past month or two a lot of times packages are late buy 2-3 days and they say "on its way to destination" or some shit like that every day for like 2-3 days when it normally would only say that once and arrive in destination city

From what I've seen from other people around here, Informed Delivery is hit-or-miss. I've often wondered whether the difference lies with the use of professionally-created labels & manual entry by a postal worker or 3rd party versus privately-created labels & the stamp. Part of me thinks that doesn't make sense, as it's likely tied to the tracking label and address details are OCR'd in order for the postal system to know where to send things. The other part of me thinks there must be some reason why it's hit-or-miss.

I'm a little surprised that First Class showed up for you. I thought it was primarily for P/PE parcels. Obviously ID is tied to tracking, then. Which brings us back to the 'doesn't make sense' point I made above. I dunno...it's weird.

Informed Delivery usually doesn't even show me when my packages are going to be coming, they need to upgrade the system and logistics, it's a good idea but not implemented correctly and doesn't work for everyone.

same happened with me it sucks not knowing but it'll show up! I didn't get an update date until the day before i received it

im starting to think it was the vendor. ID works great for me, and all other packs from this vendor have come just fine. All other mail is showing up and packages are showing up before they even arrive in USPS possession.

[1 Points] DNrick_sanchez:

if its so close, chances are the package will show up faster than ID will update until the final delivered scan

[1 Points] MW-Hype:

My last three packs have either never shown on Informed Delivery or have not showed up until the last regional sorting facility. So day before or the same day as delivery

Yep! clear and dark net purchases are showing extremely late, like 2 days after delivered, or they just don't show at all.

Informed delivery always sucks

Yeah I ordered a package that was shipped a few states away on Saturday, and it was supposed to be delivered today but it wasn't.. Priority mail my ass been over 4 days

Yes. A few months ago, I had an item shipped by USPS from AL. It got stuck in AL for 3 days. I wrote to the seller about it, who said it was out of their hands.

USPS informed NEVER worked for me. IMO its stupid. But the people it does work for seem to love it.

Yes. I ordered internationally on the clearnet and it went through customs now no update for 4 days. Also have a pack from Dream that hasn't showed up at all

[1 Points] USPSDirect:

My packs don't normally show up for at least 10 hrs after pick up, it can take 24-48 hours though.

Also, funny shit. I had a friend send me an overnight package and after it not showing up for fucking TWO DAYS he called the Post Office. Turns out he's had 3 packages actually get stuck in the bottom of the blue bins now. They went out and fished it out.
