AlphaBay auto-PGP encryption bug

So after a long hiatus from the markets, I just recently placed a few orders. Now I am not new to this, and for my personal items used my own separate PGP program to encrypt my address information with my Vendors key.

However at the same time I placed 3 small orders for some friends, and being my typical lazy self decided for the first time to just type in their info and click the "Encrypt buyer notes with sellers PGP" box on the order screen.

Now when I click on the details of these 3 orders, 2 of them have my friends' addresses in clear text, while one shows a PGP encrypted version. (What I get for trusting anyone besides myself)

I am hoping trappy or AB support can address this, and I have reached out to the vendors to try and cancel and re-order with PGP encryption. I thought about what may have caused this but all vendors involved have PGP keys listed on their respective profiles. I thought perhaps it showed the buyer notes unencrypted on my end and encrypted to the vendor, but that wouldn't explain the one order that is encrypted.

I hope this can be solved, as it poses potential issues for buyers (although I was never a fan of this feature; I've always thought if you can't figure out PGP encryption you shouldn't be on the markets IMO).

it might be wiser to create a ticket rather than posting on here.

I would never trust onsite encryption... Especially with my address.

Are you sure you hit the auto encrypt box

AM market side encryption

They really should get rid of that box. All it does is enable lazy users who can't be bothered to learn to make use of encryption. And possibly create an unencrypted record of your drop somewhere.

Yo, if I wrote a greasemonkey script or firefox addon to do the encryption client-side would anyone use it?

I'd invite everyone to inspect the source code first, of course.
