Australia post marking express post envelopes with black pen???? what does it mean?

My express post envelopes I've received sometimes have a black text symbol hand drawn usually top right corner, I think usually a star symbol). This was not drawn on by the sender. Does anyone know what this means and why it would be marked on there I assume by the original sorting centre where it was posted from or my local postie????

I love coming here and see how paranoid you guys get over small little stuff. So tell me,what part of fearing every unknown phone call, every post delivery, every envelope, every letter, every note from banks and government offices, tell me what part of that you guys enjoy best?

Because I can't imagine having any sort of normal life with the paranoia you guys feel daily. That cop asking you how's your day?HE Knows. That summons letter? ITS A TRAP. That unknown number?THEY ARE ONTO YOU. That package with a small dent and marker mark?. They know and they are coming for you bro.

A black star means you win! Just head down to the PO and let them know your DNM order got "starred" (make sure to throw a wink in there) and they should escort you to the prize room in the back. OP you're so lucky!

It means they know and you better watch your back.

Nah, it's probably nothing. I'm pretty sure I've had normal, legal express packages with some sort of texter marking on them too.

yeah at my PO they have a yellow highlighter that a lot of my packages get marked with. It's ones from amazon and stuff too so I know it's not DNM related.
