Hello people,
Usually, I'm up to date on what's going down in the cryptoworld. As I'm very busy with exams and stuff at this time, I sent bitcoins from my wallet on blockchain, using the fee that blockchain recommended, even upping it a little bit for it to go faster.
Unfortunately, this was not enough for a smooth transaction, and it eventually took 5 days to confirm. I transferred bitcoins on the 24th of May. I checked twice a day on Valhalla, and the right amount of bitcoins was listed under "Unconfirmed balance". When I checked the transaction again on the 29th of May, it had finally been confirmed. Excited, I log in to Valhalla, but the bitcoins are nowhere to be found, not even under "Unconfirmed balance." My wallet address had changed as it normally does, as if I had received a transaction.
I thought it was a maybe a bug because of the long confirmation time, but Valhalla states that even if you get a new wallet address, the old one is still attached to your account. I am 100% sure I was not phished, as I logged into the market on three different machines, always copying the link from the market superlist, and every time the transaction was listed under unconfirmed balance.
Now comes the frustrating part. Sure, there might've been a bug, since transactions usually never take this long. I sent a message to Valhalla Support, with links to the transactions on blockchain, explaining what happened. Message read, but never answered. Then I tried a message to the market admin (Kapteeni), again message read, but not answered. I tried an additional message to support, but again they read the message and ignored it.
Before you say that I shouldn't have used Valhalla, and you should've seen the warnings, yes I know. Unfortunately for me, most of the Norwegian vendors that ship domestic are located on Valhalla. Luckily (and finally) a lot of them are now moving to Hansa.
Looking at blockchain, I can see a withdraw I did a month a go from Valhalla from the exact same address I sent bitcoins to. I can also see my own transaction as confirmed, AND I can see my exact amount being transferred to another address as a part of a larger transaction, totalling out to 2 BTC, while the small amount I had as balance is still there, not being touched.
I'm not really looking for any help here. I look at the money as lost, ($150), and I feel I've done everything in my power to retrieve them. This is more for informative purposes, than asking for help. If anyone actually knows about something I can try, feel free to comment though. If any moderators want proof of my claims and links to the exact transactions, I'm willing to send links to transactions on PM.
This post got a lot longer than intended, so:
TL;DR:
Sent money to Valhalla.
Transaction took 5 days to confirm, the correct amount being listed under "Unconfirmed balance" all the way, as normal.
Transaction confirms, bitcoins disappear.
Sounds like you got scammed, bro.
