So basically SWIM jumped into the whole bitcoin thing too quickly and put some bitcoins into what he thought was the legit SR2 url on tor (http://silkroad2eipagnk.onion)
Turns out this url is on the wall of shame and not to be trusted.
Swim transferred his bitcoins to his account on this fake SR (transaction from my personal wallet to my account on the fake SR went fine) however when he tries to withdraw his bitcoins from the site, the field where you enter the 34 digit wallet address to withdraw from has been shortened to 30 so the site forces you to make what is probably a dud transaction with all the bitcoins going to the guy who is scamming everyone on this bogus site.
Is there any way I can retrieve my bitcoins from this site? Is there a way to manipulate the withdraw bitcoin field to allow 34 characters instead of 30 characters?
Any help whatsoever would be much appreciated!
I'll answer politely, but first I'll point out that using SWIM or your pet cat is mocked pretty badly. You're new and didn't know but please stop. Nobody here is going to raise an eyebrow by anyone admitting they use drugs or order them online. It's kind of the point of the sub...
That said:
Your bitcoins are gone. I'm sorry. The nature of the blockchain is that transactions are irreversible. There is not central authority to appeal to to get a refund, so if you send to a different wallet then you meant to, nothing short of the douchebag who set up the phish URL having a sudden change of heart and sending them back, they're gone for good.
There's a reason people on these subs tell people that when they're sure they know what they're doing, they're halfway there. URL scams are one of many traps to fall into and an expensive lesson to learn. I'm sorry it happened, but there isn't a way to recover the coins.
