The Apparent Future of Bitcoin

We're in for some decently sized change, it seems.

I trust Bobby Lee. The rest of these guys on the list I am either not impressed with or don't know enough to have an opinion. I just wish that Gavin were part of the Roundtable. I'm also not so convinced that the fork will happen on time and think SegWit is kinda just smoke and mirrors and nothing that would serve long term. I hope my trust in Bobby is not ill founded. I don't like the feeling that Btc is now a controlled mostly by Chinese nationals but also know that it is what it is. Anyhoo, I am mostly using it as a temporary currency for the markets these days so I don't have as much skin in the game as I used to. The daily fluctuations are still too wide at times for me to take any decent size position. Most of that variance is manipulation which brings me back to my main concern about this being controlled by Chinese miners.

I would SO like to see another alternative for trading that's not as easily manipulated and easier to fund. While I don't expect companies like PayPal will enter the Btc exchange business, I do have faith that there will be branded, digital currencies offered soon by companies like Paypal.

Bitcoin XT? Or modifying the real bitcoin software? Cause XT will destroy bitcoin. Bigger blocks themselves probably wont.
