Perhaps this should be posted in a different subreddit, but I thought you fine people may be able to share your experience as well.
I'm a pot smoker. Nearly every day for 10 years. And I get stoned very easily...I used to smoke a bowl or two to get ripped, but now it only takes a hit or 3 and I'm blazed. Weird, I know. And I love cannabis.
I've dabbled in psychedelics, mdma, amphetamines, benzos...making sure I never go overboard...but I always wanted to try coke. A friend of mine had some (as per him, grade A) cocaine, and I tried some and wasn't too impressed. Granted I had been drinking that night, but I really didn't feel much at all.
So as an active DNM buyer, I purchased from a fairly reputable vendor, and was very excited when I received my packaged. Tried a few small lines with my girlfriend, and.....barely felt a thing. She had a nice time.
Tried some more another day, nothing. Smoked some pot, drank some booze, tried some more coke, and...perhaps I felt something, but surely the booze and pot would make me feel like this.
Thought "OK, this vendor has some crappy coke", so I went with another very well known vendor and paid through the wazoo for some nice fishscale.
Again, nothing.
What gives? Anyone heard of an inability to get high from cocaine? Do i have a problem with dopamine receptors or something?
There are no known dopamine uptake/ re-uptake disorders that can affect people in such away that they don't get high off cocaine without identifiable symptoms. What is also not possible is to have an isolated problem with dopamine and coca. With all due respect there are far more common causes for not getting high off coke such as poor administration technique, unrealistic expectations of what the drug should do, poor quality coke and not taking enough. Another important point to consider is if you take any medications (prescribed) that work on dopamine receptors i.e. antidepressants or anti-psychotics. Smoking weed will almost certainly affect what you get from a line of coke. You will also find that all of the other drugs you mentioned in your post work on dopamine receptors in some way so I would look elsewhere for the cause of your problem.
