new uk laws

Just watched a newsnight report. From now on if you get caught in possession of any class drug that's deemed for personal use. There will never be a custodial sentence.

How they ascertain what is for personal use and what isn't is a bit unclear.

Over 1000 people got locked up in the UK last year for possession.

I'm not sure if your committing another offence by receiving in the post though. I suspect you may be.

Any thoughts anyone?

I don't think this is true. The libdems put this in their manifesto, but it's nowhere near being put into action..

Its proposed by nick clegg not law, there unlikely to stay in any sort of power after the next election which is when they claim it would be implemented but they broke previous promises. Its an attempt to get votes. you probably are commiting an offense but i would be surprised if anybody jailed had it mailed to them
