HELP! USPS notice left to pickup AND sign from post office in person, what to do?

Was supposed to receive a package, and delivery was attempted, but they left a notice that the package needs to be picked up in person AND signed for. I know the package was originally sent with no signature required. Normally packages are just left at the residence, i dont understand why they would want it to be picked up and signed for in person. I know the stealth is pretty good. Some of the best I've seen actually. Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated! Needless to say, freaking out quite a bit. What happens if I just dont ever go pick it up?

Dude I'd just go and get it. If they wanted you to sign and throw a CD party, it would not go down like that. Vendor probs made a mistake with the checkbox, or the mail carrier DGAF and didnt look, assuming it was sign-only.

This is very important. Look at what the sorry we missed you notice says. It should say what type of mail the parcel is. If it is priority or express, your probably fine. If it says certified mail that should raise a red flag. This isn't foolproof but it's good to know.

Sometimes there is sn ootion on the notice to redeliver and add any instructions. I had one several months ago. Checked that box and wrote in "leave on front porch". Snd that's exactly whst they did.

Depends on the amount. If something that would be personal you good regardless.
