WHAT HAPPENED TO THE POST BY SOMEBODY CLAIMING TO BE AN AGORA ADMINISTRATOR, SPECULATING THAT AGORA HAS CHANGED HANDS?

The thread was quite long when I last saw it on saturday night.

This fella said that he noticed recently that the person he messaged seemed different. He checked him out by asking a few questions about things they discussed in the past, and concluded that Agora is being run by a different person.

When he asked, he was told his services will no longer be required as an Agora administrator (I'm paraphrasing from memory).

Which moderator removed this post?

May I ask why?

Consider that anyone with an imagination and social engineering skills could do great damage to one of the markets by whipping up something like the post you are referring to. Hell, if they really tried they could have crafted a couple of photoshopped mod interface screenshots or something, to really put some frosting on the cake.

In the end, if a market is showing signs of exit scammery or LE takeover, it will be the USERS as a whole that get together and decide something is up. Not in one moment, but as a pattern of behaviour over time. Even in those cases panic is not the answer, merely kicking back on our heels and waiting it out one way or the other. We can't let lone wolves create chaos out of thin air otherwise, not when anonymity is the key to this entire hobby - a double edged sword that makes everyone whoever they want to pretend to be with every post.

I read that post too. Not an admin, I think, rather a moderator, or just staff. I'm interested in knowing if they remember whatever deal you two cooked up or not.

I'm okay with markets being sold, I guess, but I'd like to know about it.
