(Speculation) Just wondering.......

I'm curious, does anyone have knowledge if on AlphaBay there have ever been vendors who have been caught by LE and then buyers were arrested, and the LEOs went onto buyer AB accounts to give positive reviews to honeypot for more arrests? I've never heard of it happening but it could totally be possible and could've happened before, not sure how someone would be able to figure it out though if everyone that bought ended up arrested, your input?

On alphabay not that I know of but it's happened with Agora. Went by the name "weaponsguy" and they arrested him/got him to flip and they ended up busting a few people all over the world attempting to buy guns. Led to 17 arrests.

Darkmart was a poison seller who was arrested when he sold on BMR, LE revived him on Evo in Autumn 2014 and busted a few buyers

If LE created a fake vendor as a "honeypot", I don't think they'd bother busting a load of customers just to leave fake feedback. They'd create fake customer accounts too.

It would be entrapment. You're wandering along innocently through alphabay looking to buy a "Mastercard" T-shirt, when a listing entices you in and persuades you to try drugs for the first time. Then you get busted. But only if the cops who pushed the drugs post them.

No, I haven't heard of this happening on alphabay, or anywhere
