Safe to assume that if you have ever accessed a tor, vpn, dnm related website, at any point without bridges that your computer has been compromised by LE?

We have heard about x-keyscore and the other mindboggling goverment malware available to NSA,CIA, and FBI. I feel like for true security you would have to throw your pre-tails computer that you did your intial DNM research on into a river, and buy a cheap craigslist 100-200 laptop with a gutted harddisk to truly begin a more secure OPsec.

Theres nothing that leads me to believe that the computer that Im using to get started with the DNM hasnt already been compromised from the first time I visited tor's website on the clearnet. Of course LE will not come with warrants every single person that has ever researched the topic, or even had a G mailed to their doorstep. But we can be sure that we are all being monitored from the jump! I think it should be written law to only use public computers to research the topic, and only begin your operations once you have a gutted laptop, only to be used on public wifi of course!

I may sound like a typical paranoid tin foil hat kinda guy, but its paranoia that is the fundemental cornerstone of Opsec.

I heard that the NSA has a backdoor in all computer monitors so they can see what you're doing in real time.

If this were true then a huge unrealistic chunk of people not actually committing illegal acts, but are merely curious on the subject would be looked into. This would be a huge waste of resources and impossible to maintain. Me simply looking up the Darknet on the clearnet shouldn't be enough for the government to launch a full scale investigation onto me. Get where I'm going with this?

if you use a windows computer, what makes you sure it wasnt already compromised when buying it?

or a hdd sold in your country?

and well, as you said:

I think it should be written law to only use public computers to research the topic, and only begin your operations once you have a gutted laptop, only to be used on public wifi of course!

90% of people dont care for any law, not the ones made by the government, or the ones written here for making anyone safe.

Even though they might have those resources (most likely they do), I don't think they'll put in the effort to bug everyone that has any dark net affiliation. Or idk, it might be really easy for them.

It's just safe to assume that either way

The government is absolutely not efficient and does not have time, man power or money to track and trace the small guys or even lower people, that browse the darkweb. Instead the big busts go down like, the one we just had and they celebrate that win. Back off from it and wait until there is a supported reason to go after something again. The only reason the recent one occurred was because of FENT and so,many people overdosing and dying as well as the child open. That brought the attention over to the markets . that's why these things should not be alllowed on a mixed market.
