Am I being too paranoid?

So I ordered some weed and hash off of the cannabis road for my first order ever. So far so good. Today I found a slip of paper in my mail box saying I should pick up 1) a package and b) a registered mail from my local post office. This is feeling a bit weird since they only do this if I wasn't home and they couldn't deliver it. But I was. The doorbell did not ring.

Was the delivery guy just lazy and didn't bother to give me the package or is there something going on here?

I'm German so idk if you can read what it says.

Short Answer Yes. Long answer YESSSSSSS

I don't know how much weed you ordered. But I'd hazard a guess it was less than several kilograms, correct?

Okay, so lets now look at the scenario you're most concerned about. That there's a couple Rozzas sitting in the Post Office out the back, its day three and they're tired, but vigilantly remain waiting for that paranoid kid that ordered a bag of weed online to come by. Could be any day now.. Hmm.. Sure does seem like a waste of time this.

You are nothing to LE. They give less of a shit about you then that girl you like. Now go get your fuckin' weed and smoke the lonelyness away.

A picture of the alleged slip would be appreciated, OP, as we've recently seen an increase of attempts to create fear and paranoia through claims similar to this. A picture of the slip would give us much more concrete evidence to go off of.

EDIT: Many thanks for the pics, good to see an OP actually deliver.

I'm not telling you what to do certainly. I would be freaked too. I can just offer my experience: I had a po box once upon a time and got a pink slip for a "package" whereupon I freaked b/c they can ALWAYS deliver to my box. That had never happened before or since. Being the junkie that I am, I said fuck it and went to pick it up. It was just a mistake with the postage.

There is usually a reference you can use to rearrange a delivery online or through the phone here, does your note provide an option for that?

Who did you order from?

Could be an error in shipping labels since it was two different vendors. Message each vendor about it and ask if people have had to sign from germany before or something.

My suggestion would be: Ask the vendors if he used a shipping method one had to sign for. In Germany there are also packages you need to pick up (if they did not fit the mailbox) but you dont need to sign for them. Also keep in minde that Germany mailman have gotten superlazy/oberwelmbed by work lately and sometimes dont even bother to ring the bell.

Are you certain this is not something else (legal) you ordered? I made it a habit to not order anything else if I was expacting some DNM stuff. You could walk up to the office, show them the slip, take a look at the package and then decide if you want to sign for it (if you really have to).

Also, if you are really paranoid, make sure to clean house before you go pick it up and you will be good, even if thngs go south.

cant you rearrange delivery online?

[1 Points] Foolish_ness:

This applies to UK post so unsure of how helpful this is to you: I missed the postman the other day, and received a similar slip (although it wasn't registered delivery - just too bulky for my postbox). Knowing that it wasn't anything that would cause me too much hassle being caught with (cheap baccy) I risked it and headed on down. Needless to say I'm still here smoking at my desk.

[1 Points] frunkis:

I've had slips show up for packages when I was home. For not illegal stuff too. Don't know if I just missed the knock somehow or there is something wrong with my mailman.

I've had to pick up packages from the post office before, OP. Just don't be sketch. You're just going to get some mail, that's all.

[1 Points] DontGiveAFuxtable:

If it were me, I would go to the post office and look around for unmarked cars or other LE activity. If everything seems normal to you, go ahead and try to get the package. You can probably claim plausible deniability if something should go wrong. The problem is most people act like they've been caught with weed when they should be acting like they got a random package in the mail. But if it were me I'd be very cautious. It's tempting to ignore red flags when you have a tasty ounce waiting to be picked up, I've been in those types of situations. But trust me, if something seems sketchy, just take the loss and leave a free man.

Nah you're fine

not sure how mail is delivered in germany, but in canada packages that aren't delivered by your regular mail person MAY come via a second delivery person. they still have access to the mailbox, which has two large parcel boxes and special keys that are left in your mailbox whenever a package for you is left in one of them. Normally, the first mail person handles most parcel deliveries and either leaves it in the box for you or tries to deliver it to your door. If they try to deliver it to your door but you aren't home they will leave one of those slips. BUT if the second mail person has a parcel to deliver for you and those parcel boxes are full, he will leave one of those slips in your box and not even try to deliver it to the door, so in that case, you may get a slip even when you are home.

What i find strange about this is BOTH your packages never made it to you.

IMO I'd walk away from this one. The chances are slim that anything will happen, however.
