USPS Sunday deliveries

Found some boxes on my doorstep this morning--both dm and regular. My neighbor told me that the post office has contracted with Amazon to do some sunday deliveries during the holidays, and they also delivered priority mail stuff, etc., to her house. Small east coast town. Just a FYI, weirded me out at first, but seems legit.

USPS is doing Sunday deliveries for the holiday season to try and compete with UPS, &c. I was surprised about a month ago myself.

Ahh cool, I'm gonna go check my mail. I wish the mail ran 24/7, maybe on the weekends a noob driver delivered mail so the regular didn't have to work but 4or5 days a week instead of 7. But the USPS would lose a shit ton of money. Anyways, that's pretty cool.

Yup, I just USPS driving around today and got a clearnet package as well. They are doing their sunday deliveries, although with Amazon in bigger cities they have been doing sunday delivery for a while now.

This is brought up every single Sunday, it seems. USPS does package deliveries on Sundays year-round now in certain areas; and right now for the holiday season is delivering regular mail in certain towns and cities, and contracts with Amazon

TL;DR - USPS does deliver on Sundays in certain areas, and every Sunday someone freaks out about it and posts it on here. Next Sunday we'll see another post about it.

Yes. They do Sunday deliveries right now because of the holidays. I had several legitimate USPS packages arrive today (Sunday).
