As I've researched CD's and LE involvement stories here over many months, there is one clear/obvious theme we should all take note of(!)

There aren't any!

Has anyone in the US first person had a CD go down or even received a 'love letter'? Be honest! I don't care about your friend Joe's cousin..

It seems verrry verrry verrry rare, mostly due to stealth and domestic orders imho.

Nearly all the people getting love letters in other parts of the web are ordering international pharmaceuticals with no stealth at all.

So if you package hasn't arrived, focus your energy on resolving things with whoever it is trying to scam you. I'd guess that's that the case 99.9999% of the time (IANAS). Oh, and tracking # scams are a real thing. Just becasue someone has a great relationship with a vendor doesn't mean he won't T# scam someone else. That one has been around since before EBay.

Just one fairly intelligent chippers $0.02.. ;-)

Please share your thoughts if you are so inclined!

This is fucking nonsense. If you think its impossible to have cops do a controlled delivery you are fucking delusional.

I thought this was common knowledge.

Been ordering online since before tor was a thing. Probably 500+ packages over the last 14 years, probably about half domestic.

0 love letters, 1 package opened and contents stolen.

Love letters exist and happen, but the level of fear about them is all out of proportion to the number of times it happens. Controlled deliveries certainly happen, and I don't think we hear about many of them here because if LEO go to all that effort, that person is probably gonna see a jail cell in the immediate future, not a web browser.

You'd be surprised how often drugs are found in packages that are 100% due to just horrible packaging on the vendors part. I'm talking half pounds in a zip lock bag, no smell or visual barrier.

Every package I've ever had seized and gotten a LL for was because the shipper used poor packaging ( too thin and tore open or too bulky or easily damaged or overly packaged ) or the shipper dropped a ridiculous amount of packages/letters at once into a drop box somewhere and it was very suspicious and they were inspected ( profiled ).

OTOH I've received a large Rubbermaid bin duct taped shut that sat in customs for 2 weeks and then just arrived beat to hell with pieces of the plastic missing. The vendor sent me 10 times what I ordered. ( it was not a controlled substance or a "drug", it was ampules of medication for my dog who had pulmonary hypertension )

A few weeks ago some clown posted an elaborate story about a cd.......on a sunday!

90%of people here know all the cd post's are complete bullshit.

This is so true, i have NEVER heard of any domestic order getting a CD. I have seen one article on the news about some dude ordering internationally and getting a CD, and it's plain and simple why he got a CD.

Im not saying all international orders turn into CD's but the chances go up a great percent because of customs.

Moral of the story, order domesticlly if you want to have some peace of mind, why go through all that trouble of your pack crossing customs?

[1 Points] alltheshrams:

How fucking stupid are you people saying that CDs are an urban legend? Jesus, put "controlled delivery" into google news and loads of articles pop up. Why does it have to be a first person account when the stories are published in newspapers for all to see?

Given the volume of drugs moving through the mail the odds are low for you personally, but this shit happens ALL THE FUCKING TIME and OP's "research" skills are laughable.

"There aren't any!" Right. I found these in 30 seconds (these are all just in the last 6 months) and there are shitloads more:

I got a love letter once over a package but it was kratom and was shipped from Indonesia. The LL was from the FDA and ultimately the result of this dumbass vendor blatantly saying that kratom has pain-killing effects and gets you high on his website.

But I agree with OP. It seems to be extremely rare among redditors and forum members at the markets.

I think most packages that don't end up are scams in that they were never sent or vendor is pulling a tracking # scam. I knew a shady online marketplace vendor years ago who would do the T# scam every once in a while and keep the money.. I think he had some system, like targeting new users who hadn't made many orders, didn't have feedback, were green/noobs. he was an asshole.

I'm not sure we would hear about all the cd's that take place. I would assume the people getting cds would be in jail/prison and not posting online to share the story. I know from vendor stats my favorite Canadian vendor has 2 cds in the past 2 years. Also I have a feeling some of the recent cd stories were bullshit based on my own personal experience with the police and interrogations. Although I was down voted to oblivion for not falling hook line and sinker for the dumb story.
