WASHINGTON COUNTY, Md. - A 22-year-old man was arrested on Monday for selling marijuana out of his Smithsburg home.

Agents from the Washington County Narcotics Task Force arrested removed at his home on removed Drive, and seized $185,000 in cash, five handguns, three shotguns and significant amounts of marijuana. His 2008 Nissan Altima was also seized by the Task Force.

Authorities believe Myers was buying the marijuana from Colorado, where it was legalized in 2012, and shipping it to Maryland to sell throughout the county. Officials also said one of the handguns that was seized had been previously reported stolen out of Jefferson County, W.Va.

Removed is facing multiple charges, including possession of marijuana, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of firearms in a drug trafficking crime and theft. He was released from the Washington County Detention Center after posting a $250,000 bond.

The U.S. Postal Inspector and the Drug Enforcement Administration assisted with the investigation.

I removed his name from the copy/pasta, didn't know if that would be doxing...

A TV station in Colorado reported he was getting 2-3 elbows a week from SEPT to OCT from a Denver address...

This may or may not have anything to do with the DN or the markets, just saying that so people know I'm not trying to spread FUD...

Mentioning Tyler Myer's name isn't doxing. He was arrested and charged, which is public record.

Googling some more, it looks like this isn't a blackmarket case according to an AP story: http://denver.cbslocal.com/2014/11/20/man-allegedly-bought-pot-from-colorado-to-sell-in-maryland/ :

Court records state that Myers told police he sold marijuana that he bought from a source in Colorado at a rate of two to three pounds a week from September through last week...Myers was arrested one week after he allegedly mailed about $5,600 to a Denver address. Denver police didn’t immediately respond to questions about the case.

If he's mailing around big sums of cash and nothing is mentioned about computers, Bitcoin, the Internet, or Homeland Security / FBI, then it may be an ordinary drugs-in-the-mail case.

Why does every local newspaper website have goofballs like Dave Hendershot in the comment section?

Doesn't include a complaint, but one oddity - a charge for theft?
