PGP Address Wrong

So I bought some LSD from agora and it arrived today but my postcode was a little but wrong, the only issue was that there was an extra number in there. I used igolder to encrypt. Was this a problem on the vendors part or was my encryption bad?

Well that's good it still got there even with a slightly fucked up address. As long as you typed in that address exactly in the encrypted message, it should be fine and just a vendor error I'd imagine. Can you unencrypt this message still and see what the content was? I know Agora wipes the encrypted PGP message after you buy and the vendor gets it, so only if you saved it would you probably still have access to it. In the future, just double-check the address to make sure it's correct.

Also, did you happen to get off JerryGarcia on Agora? I'm trying to find some good vendors on there and he seems like one of the best currently since House of Spirit is on vacay right now

If you are sure that you didn't make a typo, then the vendor made a mistake. There is no way for the encryption algorithm to corrupt a message and add a digit.

I used igolder to encrypt.

Please don't use igolder.com. There is most likely a court order against them requiring that they keep their site open even though they were supposedly going out of business almost a year ago. So many people have been using that site for encrypting info used in illegal transactions, it seems like it would be no problem for the FBI / DEA to get a court order for them to collect all unencrypted messages, private keys and passwords.

Try this PGP client instead:

Here's a guide for it:

If you want to practice sending and receiving encrypted messages, this is a good sub:

You can do what I do when you encrypt messages because once that original text dissappears i was always left wondering if i made any typos (even after checking it twice before encrypting).

You can do one of two things, you can encrypt with your public key as well as vendors public key, but when he goes to decrypt it may be confusing when hes asked for 2 passwords.

Other wise I copy any paste the message text a second time into the text fiel I am using before i encrypt so i can view the exact text i encrypted.

I doubt it was your encryption, it was probably an error on his end. I dont know why, but a lot of vendors dont cut and paste. Its a very dangerous way to operate at the buyers expense if the package goes to the wrong address and gets added attention.
