This is my personal experience from living in St. Petersburg.....the mail there.....is a suggestion. They MIGHT get it to the destiation in....time. It was so bad back then, you couldn't use it effecialtly. So the work around was two: First, you can a courier to ship it to Finland, from there, it would get to the destination reasonably. Or go down to the "Great Hotel Europe", extravagant hotel, and they would do this same.
Still could be weeks or even months.

Russian post is pretty good, received some packs local in 2-5 days when I stayed for quick. To the U.S. they may suspect something if its a box but if its a small envelope shouldn't be an issue, Russia ships whole eurozone also.
