Question about a transaction

I sent 75 dollars worth of bitcoims to Alphabay and they went to a different address. It is not like I misspelled it, it is some completely different address. I know they are probably lost but what did I do wrong. If Alphabay stole them they would have went to the address and they would of vanished. I am positive I don't have malware so does anyone have any idea why?

I don't follow what you're saying you did....they give you a new address to deposit to everytime you deposit, so if you're comparing the addresses to what's in your account then its possible they changed and there is a problem on their internal ledger.

If you sent it to the wrong address by no fault but your own, then you are pretty much out that coin.

If you're on Windows you could have malware on your system or something like that, I've read here before that some people have seen malware that can redirect the address you attempt to send coins to.
