The bigger message here is that our government, the people whom we fund are spending our money to spy on us. When we technologically reach a point where its starting to become expensive and unfeasible for them, they are starting to invest resources into other divisions in order to crack our technological capabilities and hinder its development. Some may argue its in the best interest of a country, but its definitely crossing many lines at this point.
Tor isn't a tool designed for criminals, but its used by many. They did a broad sweep when they were able to de-anonymize however many users they did. That would require however many hundreds of warrants. I want to see the FOIA requests in the upcoming years about "Operation Ononymous" as they start to appear. We'll know.

The big difference in this case seems that researchers were asked to unmask a specific set of people and provide their IP addresses.
That's pretty disturbing. Hopefully it was accomplished due to bad opsec by the targets and not through vulnerabilities in TOR.

I think I remember seeing this too. Re-posts aren't always bad, I bet a lot of people didn't see it the first time. So I will leave this up for now.

Unrelated to Abraxas, I'm guessing you only quickly skimmed through the article. This is Tor Project accusing them of doing this during 2014's Operation Onymous, which took down a whole host of Markets and other Darknet Sites.

This is precisely the reason why we CANNOT trust the FBI! They're not here to protect nor serve us; they're here to kill, steal, murder, and enslave us because of this goddamn plant!
This is the reason why we need WAR. When people get fed up with the government and they're out of control where the constitution were SUPPOSE to contain and control our government. You know what? Constitution is just a fucking paper and ink; no one is obliged to follow them - it's not even a living thing. It's just a tool to control the en masses. Government doesn't follow them either, why should we? This.
We have now woken up from our long slumber of enslavement. We can only truly be free when there's no control; when there's no government, there's no restraint; when there's no government, there's no control; when there's no government, there's anarchy; when there's no government, there's freedom; when there's no government, there's no interference; we must severely limit our government on what they can and can't do. Do we need a government? No. We don't need the "FED", only the state government with limited powers -- I am fine with that. We don't need two government system: the fed and the state, only the state is what we needed. Is it better not to have any government at all? For me, it's even better. Government is there just to control people, nothing more or less -- it's a form of addiction it must be treated; it's a cancerous lesion that must be excised from the society.
My two cents.

Once again - fuck off America. The World would truly be better off without you.
