How much should I offer vendor if I do receive my CR rider?

Edit: Should say "if I receive my CR order"

Made an order over the weekend and found out CR was taken down Monday when trying to check if it had shipped. I have seen information around that this vendor may have shipped all orders anyway but it's probably too early to tell if I will receive anything.

If I do get my package, I wanted to contact the vendor and send them some btc for their trouble. So I'm wondering how much I should offer them as I'm not sure who would actually get repaid if CR somehow manages to get some money back. Does anyone know if any returned escrow funds will be refunded to buyers or vendors? I wouldn't want to pay twice if the money went to the vendors.

I was thinking of giving them around 50%of what I originally paid so that we both share the pain if I do get my package. What do people think of that?

You're under no obligation to pay anything at all, when a vendor honors that purchase it is entirely voluntary, in the same manner that they themselves have no obligation to honor your purchase but instead choose to do so.

If you have the funds available, it would be kind of you to pay as much as you can for your received orders, as far as I'm aware CR won't be paying any vendors any escrow money.

Depends on the amount. If you can afford it I'd say half, maybe more if it was a large order.

As others have said you are under no obligation to pay the vendor. However, if despite losing his money, he still honours your order I think it's the decent thing to do. Go 50/50, if you can afford it.

Hacks like these can put vendors out of business.

WOuld the vendor be reshipping if the escrow funds were lost prior to shipment?

it's really up to you, most people wouldnt say shit to the vendor but the vendors need the btc to keep up as they sent out packages without getting anything in return (if you havent FE'd or if they hadnt withdrawn)

I would say all, Most vendors take care of the customers, so if this vendor has been good to you then I would be good to them.

You don't owe them anything but half sounds fair, you share the risk.

you should pay the full price. the vendor fulfilled his duty by sending out the package, you should fulfil yours by paying the price agreed upon
