USPS cracking down?

There's so many threads that a lot of this stuff I think goes unnoticed. I've noticed a large spike in the number of people waiting on or missing packages in the last few days / weeks. All links below are from just the past 3 days. Links are to people who are either missing packages or hinted towards it. Some people had their package returned to sender. Some people received love letters. Whatever the case is, USPS is VERY VERY efficient at delivering mail. Don't you think it's suspicious that people aren't getting their orders? I really get nervous when I see vendors like AdventureTime having delays. And muskabuzz is a very long time vendor from SR1 and on SR2 his feedback is getting filled with packages not showing up. Take it for what it's worth, but when SR1 was around nobody had this many packages go missing. It's pretty obvious to me they're cracking down and who knows what will come of this in the near future.

" USPS is VERY VERY efficient at delivering mail"

I don't know where you live but in my area USPS sucks bigtime! I've gotten Christmas cards that are mailed to me at the beginning of December and received them in February of the following year.

They lost my daughter's tickets to a concert one time - the tickets were $300 each (all day concert). They just told us that they didn't know where they were. They arrived 3 weeks after the concert was over.

The list goes on and on and on ... So VERY, VERY efficient at delivering mail - not even close :)

We've always had these threads as people freaked out. While USPS has drastically improved in the last 2-3 years, I'd say a significant portion still gets fucked up, around 1-3% (I mail a lot of stuff, I see it happen).

That said, there's been what i believe is some obvious LE that's been on here recently, and some obviously compromised vendors.

I didn't make a thread about this, but I also have a priority package that should have been here by now but hasn't arrived, it hasnt been CRAZY long and i know it's not unheard of to have a package get sent to the wrong city then get rerouted or something else silly, but I am a bit antsy about it. I must say this has only happened to me once before. one time i ordered two packages from a vendor a few days separated from one another (i know, not the smartest thing there). the second package arrived promptly, while the one that was shipped out days before came a WEEK later. Sometimes shit happens, USPS might be having a bit of a hard time with halloween orders? Mine was Priority that was shipped out tuesday and it's saturday and still nothin', this from a VERY reputable vendor. But from what i understand, when packages get lost they REALLY get lost, either never showing up or showing up seriously weeks later. I dont know how the postal system works so I dont really get it, but that seems to be a thing.

But anyway, I'm not too concerned about it yet (didnt order anything hard or very big, and rave reviews for this vendor are still pouring in). It was also terrible timing because we JUST got a new mailman this week who seems very erratic and confused by the addresses on our street, I have a vague suspicion that dumb asshole just gave it to the wrong house. and it's hard to really gather stuff from these posts because some people seem just a bit antsy like me, and without knowing what vendors have been ordered from (i dont wanna call out someone when it might be USPS's fault) but it very well could be that a vendor that no one is speaking of is selectively scamming or maybe even being watched. I think it's a bit too much to think they're "cracking down" as a WHOLE, to be honest, but I do get the concern

I think your onto something. Smells like a honeypot.

edit: this is exactly how the feds operate. They create FUD. Look at all the fighting and people calling each other shills this is what the feds want.

If a vendors packages go missing or they go on an unannounced vacation avoid them like the plague.

I hate speculation

I heard about this sub reddit on a video on fox news website so the word is out. USPS upgraded their facilities in WA and CO since legalization occurred.

I too had a vendor tell me my item was returned to them. I gave them the correct address and they resent. Should I be worried?

Because people don't come here with all of their success stories. Confirmation bias and selection bias.

[1 Points] og_by_monsanto:

I had priority orders come in pretty late recently, both from clearnet (ebay, amazon, ect.) and DNMs, probably just a lot of volume for the post office, that's all i think

[1 Points] nccaliboy:

Dude i'm not sure where you get your info but the usps is a fucking shit show and is not anywhere near close to very very efficient at delivering packages more like the opposite. I ship a lot of legal items for my work and have had more disappear with usps or take over a month for them to arrive than every other shipping company I've used combined times 10. unfortunately I have customers who still prefer to use them due to their drastically lower prices and I end up having to reimburse the customer out of my pocket when usps fucks up

[0 Points] ToxicTodd9:

Maybe I'm just too new, but I don't think that on the grand scope of how much is ordered on the DNMs that it's really even that grave a concern......yet.
