From the things I read online it seems like most people on the DNM are between 18 and 23 and spend between 30-85 USD a go. It seems like anything near 150 is starting to get expensive but still just a margin of people under the majority are spending near the 150 range.
Then your less than majority, but more sought after, consumer who spends upwards of 250+ USD appears to exist but rarely discusses anything about which vendors they use, ?maybe they don't want to share?
How much will you spend at once?
I believe the typical buyer profile is more diverse than you think it is.
For example, there are youngins' and new comers with less disposable income than some of the old timers. Naturally, new comers to the DNM scene who are just getting their feet wet buy small...but more often in the long run. They also ask the most questions and are therefore seen here more often.
Then you have the customers who know the ropes, been in the game since SR1 or even since the early days of The Farmer's Market. These customers tend to get all their shopping done in larger quantities...so they stash them away like a squirrel does nuts.
Those kind of shoppers like to drop $1k+ every other month or two and stock pile their goods...Leaving Las Vegas style. Less orders per year, less risk (varies) and more spent overall. These customers don't review as much, don't ask questions as often and don't share as much about what they got. They tend to like helping those who are new, and lurk more than post.
Of course, this doesn't apply to everyone...but I would wager it is a fairly accurate summary. I could be wrong though.
