Why are DNMs waiting so much to adopt an untraceable crypto like Monero? Bitcoin is becoming unusable with all the congestion. Monero is not only much more private (ideal for DNMs!), as it solves this volume issue elegantly. Really, DNMs operators, what's holding you back?

The main way to buy Monero seems to be using bitcoin. So by using it you would still have to go through all the hassles of using bitcoin and then add another exchange fee on top of it. Vendors cashing out would have to do the same thing.

Users will not adopt a new crypto currency unless they are forced to, once they (often reluctantly) take that first dive into Bitcoin, they don't want change.

It would be in the communities best interest, but I can't see it happen in the near future, unless the issues with Bitcoin become a lot more than just the congestion.

Nucleus uses Dash and Litecoin. I wish the markets would make a full transition as well.

The "congestion" issue right now is self imposed by the community. Every asshat who can is starting tumbling services or jumping on joinmarket and now Alphabay is splitting withdraws into random sized chunks too. All this adds up to blocks full of worthless bullshit that's interfering with actual commerce.

TLDR version: All you lazy assholes using the blockchain for tumbling purposes are causing the congestion issues right now. The congestion problem would have been still a few months or more away, but all this abuse of the blockchain for coin mixing is just self destructive.

Learn how to launder money. All the mixing or tumbling in the world does nothing to teach you how not to get caught because of your profits once they're cashed out.

Go fucking abuse the litecoin blockchain or some other crypto currency that's not going to screw up the BTC network for everyone else.

Also, someone keeps attempting to intentionally trigger the spam protections in the blockchain. I've had to manually rebroadcast several transactions this morning because they never got propogated across the network due to nodes being screwed with.

Great idea. Where can I buy monero for CAD?

Blockchain bloating? We need a new Blockchain itself not just a fork to deal with this issue. No one uses it because at a certain point it will be unusable
