Wont name the vendor as he has steady feedback - I suspect a stock issue. But stock issues aren't my problem, don't list something (esp for higher prices then other vendors same item) and pride yourself on your quick shipping and communication. And why mark something shipped when you clearly havent, or plan on the next day? Vendors do know about MyUSPS right?
Issue is - I don't want the guy to "eventually" get the product and ship it out in like another week, because then I will put an honest not so good feedback that this transaction sucked in an otherwise great feedback history of a renowned vendor. That and I want my product as promised, or atleast reasonably.
Question - once something is marked shipped on AB, anyway for the vendor to cancel the tx and just refund? I sent a polite 3rd note on how lack of communication, not shipping the product out despite a week, etc makes this a pretty "unique" experience. I dont want to leave the guy bad feedback when/if he eventually gets his shit in order, while my money is tied up. I even paid 20% more for the same product other vendors are selling based on vendors rep and promise of communication, getting things out blazing fast, etc. Whatever.
Anywho - once marked shipped, can it be cancelled? Or now am I just left waiting, and possibly antagonizing him with my very polite note requesting to do so for the above reasons - only to receive something in 2 weeks (or.. hell... an empty package).
Any friendly advice?
Update: Still nothing, but I did communicate w/ the vendor since he finally replied, and this time without snapping incoherently. He's an established vendor with great history, so I don't want to put the poor guy on blast just yet. He explained he had some issues with his shipping system, and had to send things out 1st Class instead of priority - hence nothing showing up yet (and not being on MyUSPS.. which I know isn't always accurate anyways). He was super apologetic and just sounded stressed out and said if nothing shows in another day or two, he'll cancel/refund or re-ship, whatever I want. Obviously I'm not gonna ask for a reship and sit with my thumb up my ass again. I told him to chill, shit happens, it would have been nice to know that he changed from Priority to 1st Class and the order would take longer.. but whatever, I guess. I don't see a scam here, since we're in escrow, and our conversation about him apologizing for changing to another shipping method and offering to cancel/refund my order was through regular PM's unencrypted. If it doesn't show in another day or two, I figure I'll just request he do what he promised he would and cancel my order so my bitcoin doesn't stay tied up. I'm sure there wouldn't be a problem here since the mods can see our PMs and him promising to do just that etc. Correct? /u/Trappy_Pandora? (Btw - I see a "Dispute" button in the order details page next to "Finalize". Does this Dispute have to be during/after an order auto-finalizes? Or I can dispute it before that, such is the situation I'm in now?) I'm certainly not going to let it auto-finalize without receiving anything. This is something I can bring to the mods attention prior to that and they have the ability to cancel an order, yes?
As for naming/shaming the vendor.. eh.. he seemed credible/stressed. He's a well known vendor on both AB and Nucleus with impeccable stats/feedback. What's more likely here is that he just ran out of stock of the particular item I ordered, and is buying time so he can re-stock. Or maybe he's telling the truth.. who knows. Since I technically haven't lost any funds (just TIME, patience, and having a lot of bitcoin tied up in escrow).. I don't think I should put the guy on blast........yet. If he renegs on his promise to cancel my order and release my funds, then I think it's fair warning to caution. But that's probably not going to be necessary.. I hope..
You know you can't really rely on my usps, right? Sometimes shit doesn't even show up on it at all.
