Neighbor just died. Can I use his address? He was old and always got tons of junk. Rarely see anyone going over there to check the mail.

EDIT: After careful thought and heeding the good advice on here, I'll not have anything sent to his house. Mail is most likely being forward to a relative. Thanks!

I have been thinking of doing this sort of thing too, i also have a trail cam that can be setup to send me a txt message when it takes a picture, i was thinking of hiding it under the letterbox pointing up toward the slot so i get notified when someone puts mail in there lol

I wouldn't do it. There could potentially be mail forwarding, and the post office may be notified of his death, as well as a family member potentially gathering their mail.

send a letter there and see

Go inside and look in the medicine cabinet. Grab all pills. Fuck the mailbox

Let the whole death dealings pass over first! Don't rush, keep an eye on mail delivery for a while. Not sure what country you're in, but USPS mail forwarding is done by name, NOT address. So HIS mail with his name on it is the only mail that will be forwarded. There could also be an 'estate' issue going on with the family and his belongings, so stay clear for a while. MAYBE later you can try sending yourself something, in YOUR name to HIS address; an easily explainable error in someone's address labeling... you're welcome! ;)

No.

The family will probably be going through his things....and if not his family someone will be going there to clear out the house, and will possibly/probably put a forward on his mail.
