I've been summoned by the police, wtf do I do!?

I've made 2 orders from the same vendor on evo and both have showed up; the most recent order was ~2 weeks ago. As of yesterday, I have retrieved 2 calls from my local police dept, I let them both go to voicemail. They asked for me by name, telling me to call the summons office. What does this mean!? Am I Being summoned to court? Are they just fishing? How can they summon me if they didn't seize any of my packages? I've ignored they're calls, but clearly I can't forever because they'll just keep calling, or show up to my house? I have already cleaned house, and now am contemplating moving to Belize! Wtf do I do guys? I'm can't afford a lawyer and I'm freaking out :( All my purchases were through tails, but I didn't tumble the coins for the most recent order.

Edit: So I just ran down to check my mail and found a police business card in my mailbox with my name written on it.... fuuuuuuck. It just says "inserttownname police service, officersname, summons server, theirnumber"

Edit 2: I was freaking out for no reason lol I got hit by a car last year while riding my bike and the guy is trying to fight the charges. Thanks for all the help guys! Stay safe, and have fun :)

20 bucks says it's jury duty.

[58 Points] ownowfuck:

Sounds like jury duty. Tell the counsel you hate attorney's, love cops, and hope that every single defendant burns in hell for their sins that Jesus died on the cross for.

They'll send you right home.

Scary story with a happy ending

[13 Points] 30792581:

It's either unrelated or they don't have enough evidence to charge you - if they did, they would have made the arrest. Don't talk to them whether by phone or in person, and consider the address burned.

Edit: Good to hear it was nothing! Happy darknetting.

Any more info on this? You mentioned it was a summons? Was it an official summons maybe for a previous traffic related situation? Did it have a summons # perhaps you could investigate online?

[4 Points] AolxHangover:

Might be weird, and a huge shot in the dark, but are you the guy I met in denver who got hit by a car riding his bike to a festival?

[2 Points] kburns112233:

If you are over the age of 18 and pay taxes in the community you live in then it is 100% only a summons for jury duty. I have been summoned the same way before. If you do not reply the sheriffs office for the county you live in will come get you (physically). Call the summons office directly and just ask or have a family member call for you.

probably nothing to do with your drugs, if it was they would have not gave them to you without a CD. don't be paranoid just call them ask em what's up and go from there

I almost feel like this should be an informative post... we get so many paranoid posts around here it's good to have reminders that police have other shit to do than track down DNM buyers.

[1 Points] DomeShotDenton:

What did you order/what quantity

[1 Points] Hayk_Vosgi:

SOP as usual. Admit nothing, deny everything, make counter-accusations. If in doubt, your neighbor threatened to send drugs to your address. Make sure he's the kind of person who'd know how to use Tor. Before appearing at summons make sure to clean your PC and house.

[1 Points] saintjoe303:

"I don't know, sorry I can't help you." And consult with a lawyer. If you never give them information they will never have anything. If they had something they would have already came to get you.

[1 Points] None:

and THIS is how you get busted for something that no one knows about. Did you use PGP? if so you shouldnt be so worried

[1 Points] GIEV_RP_PLZ:

Who's Billy?

[1 Points] rostarman:

Check your outstanding parking tickets. If was for a Darknet purchase they would come get you

CAST A SPELL

[1 Points] GeronimoHero:

You get a lawyer ASAP and don't say shit until then!

Edit - Just saw your edit and I'm glad everything worked out. Since I'm editing because I saw your edit, does that make this a meta edit?

Your fucked dude

they are trying to lock you into a story. if they had what they needed to arrest you, you'd be in cuffs right now. DO NOT TALK TO THEM

[1 Points] FeenixArisen:

You broke rule #1: Don't panic. You also broke rule #2: Don't run to the Internet blabbing about it. Obviously if you aren't trying to airlift Pablo Escobar's cryogenically frozen Hippos to your Villa you weigh your dangers and respond accordingly. Bottom line, if you got the packages and walked away, and don't have any LATE packages, well then you already know the answer. If you did have late packages, remember: They have nothing on you, their only option is to try and make you crack with some perhaps not so subtle scare tactics.

"Bitch be cool".

burn the house and yourself

[0 Points] CorrosiveBackspin:

for future reference it's a request, not an order, ignore.

[-2 Points] FergiesunPolice:

Call lawyer(s). Talking to them on the phone is free and even going in person is a free consultation. I would not talk to any LE before at least getting some ideas from a lawyer.

Clean house. Shut your lip.

PS. we promise not to shoot first. /JK
