Trying to send a message via PGP

So yesterday I messaged a vendor on traderoute using PGP encryption which was encrypted through tails. (Open blank note pad, wrote my message then encrypted using vendors public key, then pasted the encryption which gave me that PGP code or whatever) so I sent that to the vendor; however, the vendor stated that he could not decrypt it because it was java based and to use a non java based encryption. What did I do wrong? And what other ways can I encrypt my message so that it is not java based?

I think I'm aware of how to encrypt my messages since I have done it with other vendors in the past but this guy seems like he can't decrypt my messages. Any advice?

Vendor is legit? His pgp match up on grams? Maybe he's compromised. Or maybe wasn't done correctly.

Did he ask to use his pgp again or a different pgp?

It has happened to me before with legit vendors. Just make sure its a legit current vendor and pgp signature. Encrypt again and make sure you add yours and vendors key when encrypting and send the vendor your public key in clear text and send the name used for your pgp public key. Sometimes they use the wrong one with so many keys. If they still can't read I would avoid the vendor.

Java based encryption ? 😂😂😂

Omg LOL thanks for the laugh.

Pgp Encryption is pgp encryption, he's either a tard or bullshitting you.
