Please use a sufficient Bitcoin transaction fee when depositing to Alphabay

This is an important reminder for the community.

Please ensure that you use a very GENEROUS transaction fee when sending
coins to your Alphabay wallet! Due to the current state of the Bitcoin network,
some transactions are taking days to confirm and we are getting swamped by
tickets from members claiming missing deposits.

We have no power to credit deposits that are stuck as unconfirmed on the
blockchain. This means that if you send coins without setting a higher fee, it is
likely that you will wait for MORE THAN A DAY FOR YOUR COINS TO APPEAR. This
problem can be solved with a very simple solution: configuring your Bitcoin app
or wallet to use a higher fee. Every major wallet, including Electrum and Blockchain,
support this feature.

If you send coins with a lower than expected fee and your transaction gets stuck
on Unconfirmed status, there is nothing we can do, except wait. The average
confirmation time for the usual 0.0002 fee is 1 day and 8 hours. For a simple
transaction, we recommend a fee of at least 0.0007.

Since our tumbler was mostly unconfirmed transactions, it is possible that you
might have had part of your withdrawals missing in the past days. If this is your
case, please make a ticket with the missing amount and we will correct the
problem.

In case we forgot to mention: Use a higher transaction fee for your deposits.

My ROT: If Electrum isn't suggesting that your fee is "unusually high" you should increase it.

[4 Points] weepark:

set fees high. or if you have a low fee transaction use a CPFP (child pays for parent) and a txd accelerator. ive only recently run into this problem but it makes the dif between getting coin stuck in limbo or having confirmations within the hour. gotta give the minors more incentive. makes the difference between 25+ blocks or 1 block.

Glad to see you guys are still coming on here. We get swamped with the same type of posts around here as well.

Great to see you guys acknowledging it. Also use https://bitcoinfees.21.co/ to see what the current transaction fee is. I always do twice as much as the fee on there for a fast and clean transaction.

If you use the drop-down menu on the top left corner under Fees (where it says satoshis), select BTC. Underneath the chart the current transaction fee is 0.0008136 BTC. Therefore I would do it to about 0.0016 BTC for a faster transaction. It's only about £2.40/$3.10/2.80 EUR so it's not going to bankrupt you.

Some one plz explain this to me so confused

[1 Points] onionland_star:

You can also use Ethereum and have your coins there in seconds ;)

[1 Points] madisonrebel:

I use MultiBit which sadly doesn't account for the fee so I estimate it. Now I'm waiting...16 hours and counting...

[1 Points] madisonrebel:

Dumb question: those that sent out transactions with small fees...will they get their transaction confirmed at least within a few days? There's no possibility of it being stuck forever, correct?

[1 Points] Mercuryburn:

Just add a god damn credit card option shitttt and 2 day shipping with free return damnnnnn and I want it nowwwe

[1 Points] Mercuryburn:

Always send dollars never cents my niggaaaaa
