Might Be In Legal Trouble, Need Some Advice

Someone I know was recently arrested, and the police took their phone. When they gave it back, they informed him that they read his conversation with me, and informed him they know that I use the darknet. As far as I know they don't have any other evidence, though there's been a cop frequently parked by my house for the past week or two(he seems to be there with the purpose of ticketing people, still very concerned about it though) All I order to my house is LSD, and I've always encrypted my messages on the markets, mixed my coins, etc.

Aside from cleaning my house, what precautions should I take? What should I expect to happen? How fucked am I?

Any and all advice given is appreciated. Thanks

That seems like an odd thing for LE to tell your friend.

You forgot the first rule of fight club.

It definitely sounds like he gave them that information and he is changing the story to warn you that they know without admitting that he ratted you out. I suggest you just quit ordering for AT LEAST the next 6 months and even after that I would get a P.O. Box on the other side of your county/parish and purchase tons of stuff from different websites to see if any of them were tampered with before delivery.

Its possible they told your friend that but more likely that he got scared and told them.

I agree that it souds fishy that LE would TELL him they were on to you. Are you sure he was even arrested? he doesn't perhaps owe you money does he?

Shut it down bragh

Get a lawyer, you can retain one for a few hundred.

If the police come, hand them the lawyer's card, the end.

Are you in the US?

Can I ask why you guys communicated with texts intead of using something with temporary texts like Snapchat or any number of end-to-end encrypted messaging apps?

Do you know if your friend keeps his phone locked? If so, I could be wrong but depending on your local laws, your friend could have refused to unlock it unless it was court ordered.

Find out his case number. Go to the clerk of courts. Get the bill of information. Read word for word what he told the detectives.

Your call whether to order again or not. I don't know where you live (nor do I want to) but AFAIK there is no place where possession of LSD is a misdemeanor and the state that I live in trafficking starts at a sheet and carries a mandatory 35-42 months. Just keep that in mind.

Yeah for the love of god don't fucking order to that house any more. Lay off DNM for a minute if possible (at least 4-5 weeks)

[2 Points] rappercake:

Burn/shred everything related to the DNMs or drugs you have in the house whenever you were going to throw it away instead, the cops can and will legally look through your trash for anything that might help their investigation.

Also, your friend is a dumbass that doesnt know his rights and snitched or doesnt have a lock on his phone.

Depends on your location. Does the rule apply where you are that they need to prove 'beyond a reasonable doubt' to convict you of anything in a court? If so, create some reasonable doubt. Destroy your computer (or hide it elsewhere) and phone, say you lost the phone and have bought a new one the person responding to the messages must have been the man you sold the phone to etc. They will have a hard time proving anything without any evidence or a confession by yourself (assuming the legal rule applies). If the police knock at your door you do the questioning, why are you here? Do you suspect me of committing a crime? (if no, ask them to leave) What evidence do you have that leads you to this suspicion? Please provide it to me. Deny that you made any orders, ask them to provide evidence that proves you did it (only if they ask).

Your probably going to be ok but I would not make any new orders and perhaps send some dummy packages to yourself to see if they are on to you (make it feel like there is something inside). Maybe 1 or 2 a week for a month or so and write something on the inside of the package in the far corner where they wont see (incase they do check your pack / envelope but cover their tracks by replacing it with a similar one!)

People have already mentioned the basics, except that your phone number and phone are also burned, get a new number and device.

Also this is a good example of why you should always lock your phone!
