[Andromeda] How many credible Redditors have actually ordered from Andromeda?

According to the records provided at the top of their site they have almost 30,000 members.

Yet when I look at listings for even common products like weed I see at most +4 feedbacks on the first page.

This is undoubtably a discrepancy. Unless registered members are staying away from Andromeda for some good reason.

I want to hear from credible Redditors (which I am not, yet, I realize), especially people with experience on marketplaces, to tell me whether Andromeda should be trusted.

I may or may not have an order pending--- in regards to that, I will use a separate Reddit account I access through a Tor/proxychain to address more specific issues should the need arise.

Hey,

I appreciate my opinion is heavily biased but hopefully I can answer a few of your direct questions.

From the members that you quoted, 14k of those users were transferred from DarkBay MP when that place closed. I was a previous co-admin on that market from January - May 2014. When the place closed, I came to an agreement with the admin to transfer the users to Andromeda so trading could continue for the vendors uninterrupted. I often see a lot of conspiracy theories about why we have such a high member total from people who were unaware of the market merge. IMO it's FUD but sadly it has damaged our reputation quite severely, even though I firmly believe that we provide consistent good service, we have a flaky reputation based on several recurring accusations.

The products are ordered by most recent by default, not best selling, so that could be why the page 1 listings had a lower amount of feedbacks. In general Andromeda has far less business than the most popular markets but you can sort the products by best selling for a more accurate reflection of our business volume. Andromeda has a good amount of orders per day, the majority from returning buyers, and that's all I ever wanted for the market to achieve. We are quite content with the business level that we have and don't have any aspirations to be much larger, which is why we're not very proactive with our advertising.

The "SR3" branding during our infancy was done purely for advertising reasons, to get people interested in the new market in the midst of a lot of MP competition. It did work, and Andromeda gained several thousand users quite quickly, but alas to this day the reference to the old branding is used commonly as a reason to claim Andromeda is "shady" (see the comment from ass-fister). In the long run, the SR3 branding backfired, and the reputation of the market took quite a hit from which it has never fully recovered. I am hopeful that eventually people will see beyond that failed publicity stunt during our conception, and see that we are a genuine market providing nothing but honest service to our userbase.

I don't expect anyone to trust the market until we fully integrate multi-sig, which is the current priority, but we have been operating for several months without any issues.

If you have a current order, it will go off without a hitch from our end, that I promise.

Thanks & Best Regards, Andromeda Team

That market was originally named Silk Road 3, but they had to change the name since the silk road brand is toxic.

I registered when it first went up (when it was SR3) but haven't logged in since. Seemed kinda shady to me idk.
