Full-time big-boy vendors... what on earth do your parents/friends/family think you do?

I've just always wondered. So many vendors do it full time. Surely they don't all live in solitude. It would be so hard to keep a secret like that from people that are close to you. I guess you have to for OpSec but still... do you work a part time job and say you do that, hobbyist, arts/crafts or blog from home?

Hey dude,

Yeah- it's pretty tough but that's just a part of this life, you know? So anyway, into the details.

I go by the username- xX_I_Sell_DRUGZ_From_Cali_Xx and mainly vend on Dream, Alpha Bay and Evolution (my favourite market! Customer service is great over there). My real name though is actually "Rick Sanchez" and my whole operation consists around convincing my family I'm a 'full-time mad scientist' whilst I cook up some killer LSD in my garage to sell on the DNM.

I tell my family and some friends that I sell coins and metals on Etsy. I have a bunch of excuses, I used to make youtube videos with AdSense, and could get away with saying I'm a software developer that works from home.

But as far as they are concered, I work from home and make $55-60k a year with my "job".

If said vendor is worth their salt, the family does not know & will never know my friend :-)

[15 Points] theoryOFleary:

Probably average thoughts.

Especially if he's a SMART vendor and keeps everything quiet.

i have been out of the vendor game since SR2 shutdown, but part of being a vendor is literally cutting ties with most people in your life

the few years I spend importing before I became a USA re-seller for a top dog EU MDMA source taught me a lot about my future plans. in the years I was just an importer to sell IRL, I built a vast amount of trusted drops to use to receive my packs from overseas

I didn't live in solitude, I did have roomates at one apartment, but in the summer I was vending, I subleased a spot somewhere else and operated out of there.

but maybe a total of 3 people knew of what I was really doing on DNMs, none of them knew my vendor name or even how to access DNMs on tor

I have a bachelors degree in maketing so my family knows I am a good guy. they also know I am a former IRL drug dealer. what I chose to tell them is that I was a very early investor in BTC (which is actually true!) and turned a 1000% ROI on like a $9k investment

the easy part was hiding, I prefer to be by myself most times

the hard part is the massive amount of paranoia and stress every day your shop is open. I had nightmares of being raided every night

Unless you live with friends or family, I would imagine you'd just say you do xx (insert whatever job you could reasonably have) and stick to that?

If you live with someone and are hiding it from them thats a different issues.

That they deal drugs ... being a vendor isn't that crazy your just a small-mid size drug dealers even the biggest ones on here .

You DO realize that as long as commerce has existed, that there has always been a black market? The darknet markets are just accessible to more people that typically didn't operate in the game, like neckbeards for instance.

BTW OP, are you 12?
