Can anyone who is qualified shed some light on the amount of estimated work the necessary patches to counter DDOS attacks should take

Can anyone who knows wtf they are talking about explain whether or not AG and BB being down this long lines up with the amount of work theoretically necessary to revamp the sites after the recent DDOS drama?

Usually around 2 billion a minute.

I would estimate 1 day to install the patch and configure the servers, and possibly another 1 day to go over the patch source code changes and make sure it's safe.

What's strange is that nobody commented in the tor-dev mailing list to say that it worked/didn't work for them. It might be that some of the markets don't want to mess with an unofficial patch, or maybe they are worried that this attack is related to LE somehow and decided to take a breather.
