question about terrible stealth causing cd

without getting into too much detail about the situation, i need some input.

if a vendor uses absolute garbage stealth and not enough postage, and the pack shows up knocking on the door, potentially a cd, and thus not accepted, should the vendor be held responsible for putting his customers in potential danger with horrible stealth and the transaction disputed? or should the buyer bite the bullet and finalize, as a pack did show up, even though the contents werent verified, and again, a super sketchy situation was created?

this is all completely hypothetical for the time being. i wouldnt be sure what to do if i ever found myself in that situation.

How do you know the stealth was bad when you never had it in your hands? Maybe just a stamp came off and the post guy wanted you to pay postage. now it will return to sender and they will open it/report it to LE with your name on it. you should have just paid postage

tough situation as i have been in a similar one couple of times over past years or so...

on the one hand pack did show so if vendor provides tracking # to dispute mods they will win dispute 99.9% of the time

on the other hand according to your story vendor profiling or bad opsec put you in danger so that is fault of the vendor, but hiow do you prove that in a dispute, your word gainst hte vendors, and if it is well known vendor that brings alot of moolah to the market and your only one of a couple hundred transactions that complained vendor will most likely win dispute..

so how the hell do we protect oursleves from bad vendors??

others please input, but imo I always test vendors out before i make a plunge of couple $k+, so i'd send a small sample of whatever to a drop or whatnot and if everything goes well and stealth checks out product checks out then, i take deeper plunge to diff drop...but thats meh

remember your copping from random strangers o n the friggin internetz, to find a good reliable vendor is hard imo, but my point is the possibility for what you are describing is very real and more common then we might be inclined to believe

EDIT: to add i have bitten the bullet before on expensive losses which im not proud of...but its the game we RPG

finalize, but leave a shitty review about stealth?!

[1 Points] None:

In this specific situation where you got your order, it was just a little stressful. You should finalize. But leave a 3 or 4 star review and make note of why.

You don't want to screw the vendor out of their coin and you don't want to ruin their entire business. But you dont want them to just get away with it and continue on being stupid.

If you don't get your order or you're busted, you don't finalize and you rage here and anywhere else you can. We have to work together and protect each other from being scammed or being charged with a crime.
