One thing the Grand Wizard would note: "testing" does not mean "wait until this weekend so my friends and I can eat it first." It means "break out my reagent kits and make sure the substance is as advertised." The second is perfectly reasonable and shouldn't take more than a minute or two. The first is all kinds of stupid on numerous levels. Not only is it inconsiderate to your seller, it's putting yourself at risk.

Your offended at this buyers breach of DNM etiquette because they jumped the gun on the dispute process...

Yet in your narrative you freely admit you marked their package shipped on a day you acknowledge it was impossible. Then continue to admit you most likely didn't send it the day after marking it shipped either.

I fail to have any sympathy for either side here

Shit, now I see why vendors hate escrow. I'm not advocating that all vendors take an FE only policy, but thanks for shedding light on the vendors side of things.

I'm not going to message the buyer, but think about pointing him to this thread. His errors are 2: 1) being bitchy and opening a dispute after 4 days, and 2) not waning to finalize until the weekend when he . . .ahem . .. "tests" it. He's clearly in the wrong.

I shouldn't have to give an incentive to be a good customer, thats just the way it should be to make everything go more simply, but some people don't like to be easy to work with unless there is free shit in it for them
