Update from the Syrian Christian: Am now safely in Europe

Hi guys, nearly 3 months ago I made a post saying I am planning to flee to Europe with a registered Euro Passport bought from a trusted vendor. Anyway, am just giving an update that am now safely in Europe. I actually arrived in January, but long story short I wasn't in a position to log in to my reddit account and post until today. I am sure LE has noticed this account, so I have to take precautions.

I was able to cross Milan Airport (Malpesa) without any problem. I did raise one big red flag - I was carrying a Euro passport but couldn't speak any European language! So I got questioned for 15 minutes. Phew. But the officer couldn't find any flaws with my document and let me go.

Many people here were saying that I am a scammer and I am providing false information. But just 2 days ago there has been another news report which pretty much again showed that getting registered passport is not a big deal if you plan ahead and approach it carefully.

https://www.theregister.co.uk/2018/02/22/us_borders_e_passports/

There are many, many flaws in the system.

Thanks again guys. Just posted here to give an update.

EDIT: Whoah this blew up! Getting many questions and PMs. I will try to answer some common questions here.

1) As a Syrian, how come you speak such good English?

For 2 reasons. I am Christian, and Christians often knows English or some other Euro languages. Also, I was a medical student in Aleppo Medical College and was brought up in a rich family. Am not the representative of common Syrians.

2) Your background?

Like I mentioned 3 months ago, my family had olive orchards and olive oil factories. Lived in a 100% Christian village near Aleppo. Apart from Middle East, our product was also exported to Europe. Depending on market and methodology, the total valuation of our net assets including lands, factories, machinery and property was 2-4 million Euros. Now everything has been burnt down and am working as a waiter in Italy (cafeterias in touristy places often recruit good English speakers since most of their clients are actually foreigners).

3) Religious oppression under Assad regime?

By middle eastern standards, NONE. The Assad regime tried its best to protect minorities and acted against wahabis. There were plenty of islamist cunts, but that's not fault of Assad. In fact, Assad regime acted as a shield between us and islamists. The West has shown tremendous gratitude to Assad for protecting Christians. Good job. Now Christianity has been wiped out and Christians has been en masse slaughtered in Syria. The fact that USA and EU supports Saudi Arabia and acted out against Syria is unpardonable.

4) Is Assad really a brutal dictator?

Yes, he is a brutal dictator. But he is also 100% westernized and secular and endorses a progressive lifestyle. Infinite times better than the democratic, freedom yearning jihadis that the West seems to support unfortunately.

5) Are you planning to claim official refugee status?

No, my documents work. Why should I throw away everything and get stuck in refugee limbo. I won't get unrestricted work rights and freedom of movement.

6) Will you go back to Syria in future? Will any refugee go back in future?

No, I won't go back. As a Christian, it doesn't make sense to go back to middle east anyway. But even muslim refugees won't go back. Syria is over. It's done for. Assad might cling on to power but the west will never back off and low intensity warfare will continue for years to come. It's like Afghanistan. Also the infrastructure has been totally and completely destroyed. Outside Damascus, there's no running water, no electricity. The cities look like from Call of Duty.

7) What about family?

Haven't been able to establish contact. Not much hope remaining.

so many close-borders, close-minded (U.S.?) people here.... travel & migration are absolute rights, not God-given privileges to a selected few

I was wondering how you were! Glad to hear you made it! And I hope your life will get better now! Best of luck!

Ok I'm happy for you but what about the terrorists who will do this?

[3 Points] bloodfist45:

You better pay your taxes and contribute to the community. Otherwise you will surely be seen as an outsider.

[3 Points] DirtNapMarkets:

Man I love Christians!

[3 Points] M-T-Soul:

There's so much to argue with against what you wrote, and I'm sure you're not in the right head space to debate with me, but all I wanted to say is im happy you're alive and ok.

I'm just a little confused, you were blaming and bashing Muslims as the cause of all this, yet you said: " No, I won't go back. As a Christian, it doesn't make sense to go back to middle east anyway. but even Muslimrefugees won't go back"

If the "islamists" are the reason behind all this, and if the Islamists are following sharia law and that the Muslim way is the only way, why would Muslims not go back to Syria? I'm confused. I'm sure you can see that there is much much more to it than just a religion thing.

What do you guys (Syria) have that America and Saudi want? And what does turkey want from Iran that America and Saudi won't allow for? It's all dirty greedy evil politics with religion used as a decoy.

Good luck mate

Damn didn't know those passports really work.

But just 2 days ago there has been another news report which pretty much again showed that getting registered passport is not a big deal if you plan ahead and approach it carefully.

That's not what the news report is saying at all. It's saying that US customs has shitty software that can't verify certain information it receives. It mentions nothing about false pasports.

[2 Points] Thx002:

Thanks for your review of that product, plenty of silly people here who would say doing that would be impossible, enjoy your new life!

[2 Points] boyishsuggestion:

How much was said for new passport?

[2 Points] BakedPastaParty:

Duuuude who was the vendor? How much was it? I am blown away and glad youre safe!!

This is pretty funny. You acknowledge Assad is a brutal dictator (who as you know relies on powerful minorities to suppress the majority under his rule). But since he looks after your particular minority group too that's all cool?

Self determination is a fundamental pillar of international law. It can't be a surprise that the west support democracy over dictatorship?

Sucks on a personal level that you're in that situation but I can't help but feel you reap what you sow to some extent. You can't suppress a massive majority and expect them to take a beating forever.

Probably an unpopular view.

Leave then.
