Fucking fentanyl again

I know you've heard this before and I'm probably preaching to the choir but I'm going to say it anyway.

Please don't buy fentanyl. Please don't sell fentanyl.

My brother, an experienced user of all sorts of drugs but a relative noob to the DNM, saw free samples of fentanyl available and decided to order one. He mentioned this to me and I told him I'd only ever heard of it in the context of people accidentally overdosing on it (I didn't even know Prince was one of them at this point) and I wouldn't touch it even if it was free. That was the last I heard of it and I forgot all about it until six weeks or so later.

The free sample arrived (I don't know from where because I never saw it) and what I'm guessing happened is this. It looked like such a physically small amount that he decided he'd huff it all in one go. His heart stopped, he collapsed and by the time someone found him, he brain had already died.

He was never a regular user of opiates and had never been addicted to anything. He had the money to buy other, better drugs if he'd wanted. He saw something new and free and decided to try it, just out of curiosity. He died of pure misadventure and stupidity.

If you're thinking of trying it, please don't. If you're selling it, fuck you. You've read enough stories like this to know exactly what you're selling.

I wrote this out in notepad and then went on r/darknetmarkets to post it only to find the top post is already about some even more dangerous version of fentanyl. Maybe that's the shit he had too, I have no idea.

Edit: If anyone happens to have a photo of how much fentanyl you'd be likely to get as a free sample or could take me one and upload it (with a ruler rather than a banana for scale) I'd appreciate it. I'm just curious to know what it might have looked like.

Fentanyl was the first drug I tried when i discovered the dnms. If you are aware your buying fentanyl than its your own fault if you od.Iff your carefull and do your research its the best bang for your buck, if someone tells u its oxy and its really fent, than that asshole should die, but if you buy fent knowing what it is, and you stil manage to kill yourself then thats your own stupidity and evolution working together

[129 Points] bootyhumper:

wow man your brother? RIP. hope you and your family can make it through this.

[79 Points] None:

First off, I'm very sorry about your brother. I'm not trying to name and shame but there is a vendor on AB called user23 who sells $6 samples of a number of synthetic opioids, including fentanyl. Almost every review on his AB page says to be extremely careful. Knowing the strength of this stuff, I ordered his "China White" which I assumed to be a mixture of fentanyl and something else. The volume of the product seemed very small in the bag like maybe .25 gram, and I imagine the pure fent was even smaler. I started with a very small bump, and let me tell you it damn near knocked my dick in the dirt, and this was diluted fentanyl. Be careful out there, there is absolutely no margin of error with this stuff.

[25 Points] None:

I'm sorry for your loss, and thank you for sharing you experience. If it makes one person think twice before doing fent then it is worth it.

[21 Points] drpnit:

I'm sorry. I'm really, really sorry that you lost your brother.

[16 Points] zysr90:

I quit doing everything but weed, I used to think some drugs like speed, xanax were safe, until I got a 20+mg hotspot in the 1/4 of one bar from a reputable vendor, and lost a week or two.

I don't trust shit besides weed anymore..

Im sure I'll get downvoted for this but so be it

[12 Points] drpnit:

Could've been me. Stay strong.

[10 Points] ItsShatterDay:

My most sincere heartfelt sympathy for your loss. There is Narcan (overdose antagonist) available on DNM now, you can buy the vial or the autoinjector.....you will want to have 2-3 of these on hand for fent and other extremely high potency opioids

[7 Points] Bart4rd:

I feel your pain. Fent is the devil. Sorry for your loss.

[9 Points] HellesD:

That's actually how my brother died two years ago. Fentanyl mixed into some Xanax pills he ordered online. Rule fucking one sellers, don't mix Xan and Fent, it's a recipe for death. Fuck people that do this.

[3 Points] 180K:

Sorry for your loss, it really is a treacherous drug, Damn, don't buy it, don't sell it, don't let friends/family use it. Fuck Fent!

[5 Points] AndAnotherOne01:

Is there anything positive about fentanyl? It seems to kill so many people in such small doses. Why do people keep trying this stuff?

[5 Points] asimplescribe:

That sucks man. Better advice is avoid opiates. This happens way too often and it's a stupid risk with so many fun things in this world (drugs and countless other experiences).

[4 Points] chloekatt:

First of all, OP -

I know it doesn't mean much coming from an Internet stranger, and I know it's such a generic thing to say - But, I am truly very sorry that you are going through the unfortunate experience of losing your brother. Losing someone close to you, especially a sibling, is such a terrible thing to happen this early in life and nobody deserves to experience that pain. I wish you and your family the best, and send you all my positive energy. Stay strong.

To everyone else commenting and arguing on this subject -

I am personally against most opiates, especially fentanyl, but I'm not going to shit on someone if that's their choice of drug (I am of course no stranger to drugs myself - being someone who regularly uses meth, and occasionally uses a wide range of other drugs) and I understand where most of you are coming from, but maybe try looking at things from a different perspective:

Though I've never been a DNM vendor, I've had my fair share of experience with selling drugs of all kinds for quite a long time. And I've sold many drugs that I personally don't care to use - but most opiates, especially fentanyl, is the one type of drug I never have, and never will, personally sell / distribute.

And my explanation of why I feel that way, is something that I feel applies even more so when it comes to DNM vendors. While I 100% agree that it is the user's responsibility to understand, research and educate themselves on the drug they are using, what negative / dangerous effects it can have, and what the proper / safe dosage amounts are - I still believe that fentanyl is a drug that DMN vendors shouldn't deal with, and especially shouldn't offer free / cheap samples of. Why? Even if it's the user's responsibility to know how to safely use - it's not difficult to admit and realize that not every person is going to have the common sense to do that. Does that make it the vendor's fault if they give something like fentanyl to someone who makes a stupid mistake and ends up dying from it? No. But is it really worth it, or necessary, to contribute / enable those kind of people to be able to make such dangerous mistakes? No. I mean, sure, there's tons of vendors out there who maybe don't give a single fuck what happens to the people they're giving fentanyl to. But I personally believe that it's not worth whatever amount of money is made, if it means handing out something that can be so seriously dangerous if not very carefully used. You have no fucking way of knowing if the people you're selling fentanyl to are smart enough, or have enough common sense, or whatever it is, to know for sure if they're aware that by making even a tiny margin of error in he dosage amount can be the difference between life and death. There's tons of other fucking drugs out there for vendors to make money off of - almost all of which are significantly safer, and won't cost them their life if the user accidentally / unknowingly takes too large of a dosage of. The reality of the whole thing is that unfortunately, there's a significantly large number of people out there who have, and will continue, to misuse fentanyl and other opiates. It's easy (and correct) to say "Well, it's their own stupid fault - they should have known what they were doing". But even so, every single one of you knows that there's inevitably going to continue to be people who make those mistakes regardless if they "should have known". Does that honestly really mean that they deserve to lose their life because they made a stupid mistake? For a long time I used to be one of you who would probably say yes - but over the years I've grown to a point that I believe - no, nobody deserves that. Every fucking one of us makes stupid mistakes. The fortunate thing is though, most of the time we have the opportunity to fix, and learn from those mistakes so that we don't let it happen again. Unfortunately, when it comes to things like certain optiates, especially fentanyl, there's no chance for that mistake to be fixed or learned from to prevent it from happening again. I personally feel that there's just no justifiable reason for a vendor to willingly be a part of letting it continue to happen. Obviously, everyone is entitled to their own beliefs and opinions on the matter - and I respect that. This is just my believe and opinion on the matter.

[5 Points] TheKlonipinKid:

I just seen a article ....elephant tranqilizer found in such and such county 100,000 times stronger than morphine..

Better be carfentanyl they are talking about...but as a former fentanyl addict this shit is getting old and fuck that shit..

What ever happened to that 7 day sufentanil patch they were gunna come out with too?

[4 Points] None:

So sorry for your loss man, I hope you are alright. Lets hope that each story that gets put out about fent has the chance to change somebodies mind about testing this substance, I don't think vendors that are selling it have any moral thought and even less so ones giving it for free in samples. Theres so much better things to make money off of. <3

[2 Points] plant_success:

Agree with you 100%

Thanks for the post, i knew some people who had a similar experience !

[2 Points] FAmos:

Sad to hear you lost your brother, was he depressed at all going into this?

Sorry if this sounds insensitive but how could he possibly make the decision to do that? Surely if he knew what it was he would have known it's dangerous?

Again, sorry for your loss, stay strong.

[4 Points] None:

Sorry for your horrible loss man. Stories like this are just terrible and I completely agree with you. All I can really say is that I hope things get better in these dark times for you.

[4 Points] SirFoxx:

Dude, I'm so sorry for you loss. Truly I am. That sucks.

Please everyone, be careful, maybe find other interests than these super potent chems.

[3 Points] -PapaLegba:

I'm sorry for your loss. I know you wouldn't want anyone to go through that.

[3 Points] breezyblue644:

so sorry to hear that man, i had a similar incident with my brother but thankfully he didnt die. hope your family is ok best thing to do is be with them

[2 Points] BenzoChems:

There is no problem with fentanyl. the problem is users.

[3 Points] Udaypbuh:

Sorry for your loss OP, must of been a tough time for you and your family.

To all the insensitive douchebags, eat a dick.

[3 Points] Etonet:

huh, this post has a really light tone for its contents; hope you're doing ok

[3 Points] Emchapps:

OP I just came here to say I am so very, very sorry for your loss. I may know how you feel because it happened to me as well and I still struggle with accepting that my best friend is gone.

I think the best advice I ever got was, "Don't ask yourself why." Do not fixate on why it happened, because you will never find the answer. Thank you for making this post, I couldn't agree more with everything you've said. I am sorry you have to go through this and hope you find peace soon.❤️

[3 Points] idreamtofliving:

I never even heard of Fentanyl until i lost my sister to this stuff. I don't know why and how she got it and no, she wasn't an addict or anything like that. I now know how hard live becomes when you lose a sibling. I'm so, so sorry for your loss. Thanks for sharing.

[2 Points] Sleeping_Lions:

A non regular user of opiates decides to take a high does of Fent despite being told not to..... Sorry for your loss but that's his own fault.

Fent is perfectly safe if people follow a bit of common fucking sense. Take a micro gram dose, titrate up and if your not capable of that don't do Fent.

As for people getting Fent instead of H. See above. Always take a micro gram dose of the mysterious white powder you bought over the internet.

Sorry for being insensitive but thats just being dam unsafe.

[2 Points] RealwHiteline:

check our listing for our real roxy a215s if you're looking for some real oxycodone. We're so sick of seeing demented motherfuckers selling fentanyl as something else or even as fentanyl. we're sorry to hear about your situation friend, hope it never happens again

[2 Points] AreYouOkMovement:

Sorry for your loss man. Fentanyl is ripping the heart out of a country already plagued by the tremendous wrath of opiate addiction...

[2 Points] None:

This is the perfect post for someone with experience with Fent to give the rest of us a thorough break down of the dose, the effects, the longevity of the high, etc. of Fent.

[2 Points] None:

I'm so sorry for your loss, man. Too many people have been lost to fentanyl.

[2 Points] plant_success:

Fuck, I'm so sorry man. It's these stories that make me so angry that our government is about to ban Kratom. It could save so many lives.

[2 Points] ShaggysGTI:

Man this shits just getting way too deep. OP, I'm so sorry for the loss of your brother, I can't imagine the pain to have witnessed that all. Thank you so much for your story, as well as your outlook. Even though you're just an Internet stranger, I prefer to see these stories from the source, and not just another news article. Keep your chin up, kid.

[2 Points] sandy_doodle:

There are tons of fent related deaths from idiots pressing their Xanax pills with it.

I had a similar experience with an rc benzo called Flurozepam. Sorry to hear about your brother, thanks for posting!

[2 Points] halfstackk:

Accidental deaths are terrible. I can't imagine what your family, or anyone else must be going through. But with that being said, fentanyl is about to be my way out I think. One of the next passings won't be so accidental.

I can't rewind so I might as well fast-forward.

Love you Mom, Dad, bro, buddy boy, and everyone else that made my time here on Earth the best it could be. I'm glad to have experienced a portion of what this life can grant.

Keeping grinding vendors, it was a thrilling ride.

[2 Points] drpnit:

Fuck those heartless bastards.

[1 Points] FuckTheJakes:

If they want it, they will try to buy it.

[1 Points] OpiateC:

While your tragedy is horrible, the substance of this post this post is unfair. Harm 'prevention' or 'reduction' is not the same as preaching complete abstinence - nobody will listen and it will achieve the opposite effect of your intention. Your brother's death is a sad and avoidable tragedy. Fent, like many other drugs is extremely dangerous, and thus one NEEDS to do the proper research before trying it. Use an opiate calculator - there are many available for free online - to see just how effective a microscopic portion can be.

Your grief and anger are understandable, but throwing around generalized aspersions won't change a thing. If anything it'll make more opiate-naive people want to try this potent demonized drug, and my only hope is that they do so responsibly.

Edit: TL;DR: Education > finger-pointing.

[0 Points] FuzzerPupper:

God, its no wonder, we have an junkie population that thinks "points" are the proper way to measure doses. Hell, if it was just pure morphine this guy had received he'd still have died. This is really sad but GODDAMN am I sick of hearing these stories. I mean shit, you can't change the past but if you've heard about a drug only in the context of it killing people wouldn't YOU do the research at least if your own flesh and blood was thinking of trying it? There's a reason the greek root of the word "pharmaceutical" means "POISON!" Cause every single drug/chemical on this earth can kill you if you take too much, even if that amount is enormous as with weed.

Not to offend you or your family, but shouldn't you always check the dosage information no matter what kind of drug you are taking? Stupidity is usually what lies behind some OD's

[0 Points] DaDankWank:

Let me begin by saying, I am so so soooooooooooo sorry for your loss. Nothing in the world can possibly make up for a loved one dying.

However, his death was a direct result of his ignorance. Rather than telling people not to fuck with this stuff (i've only tried tramadol twice, and i use kratom on occasion, no other opioids/opiates), basically advocating for drug abstinence, you should be advocating that people do their research and take proper precautions. This shit is dirt cheap in comparison to H and other opioids, which means IT IS GOING TO GET TAKEN. People need to take responsibility for educating themselves and using harm reduction.

Given that fentanyl is active in the microgram range, this means learning how to utilize volumetric dilution dosing(possibly practicing with benzos) in conjunction with investing in a mg scale (one that is accurate to 10mg is available on amazon for like 60$, and 10mg is like 100 doses of 100mcg). Also, whenever i try a new drug for the first time, i make DAMN SURE i have a trusted friend there with me to watch after me and make sure that if i take a turn for the worst that 911 is going to get called.

Erowid is there to be used. The information is readily available for anyone who takes a few minutes to look.

Again, i'm sorry for your loss, but, at the risk of sounding like a calloused asshat, this is natural selection at work. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

[-1 Points] drkpie:

It's not the seller's fault he decided to try fent and died from it, no one put a gun to your brother's head forcing them to go and get fent. It's not like the seller's cutting H with fent and passing it off as H either, smfh. He knew he was getting fent, and he got fent. You say he's an "experienced drug user of all different types", if that's true he'd be researching the chem before deciding to dose an entire sample. He learned the hard way, which is always a shame, but you can't blame the person he got it from. If you don't know how to dose a new chemical, don't be surprised if you're seizing on the floor or ODing. But it's always someone else's fault and not their own, right? Get real, dude. I'm not going to feel sorry for you if you don't know what you're doing, I wouldn't expect it to be that way if it was me.

[-6 Points] throwaway694220000:

Not to be rude, i had to make my first account ever to post this:

Fentanyl didn't kill your brother. Your brother's stupidity killed himself. Straight up, I've used fentanyl many times and haven't OD'd (not an addict or tolerant opiate user either). Your brother OD'd due to a lack of knowledge because he simply dove into a substance that he obviously didn't know much about and had no business doing.

Sorry but this isn't fent's fault, or any vendors fault. SMH people like your dumbass bro are the reason DNM's and drugs get a bad name: because people dont fucking think before they do shit like this!

Fr, sorry for your loss, but there was no reason to post this here. You're only giving people more reason to be anti dnm and anti drug.
