Just curious.
Why are you guys so wary of talking about the stealth details of vendors when LE can just order something and see it for themselves ?
Just curious.

Just bad form IMO. Some vendors go through a great deal of time changing their Opsec when sending, and I don't feel it's good for them or us for it to just be out there.

Because everyone knows not releasing details about something makes it more secure, security through obscurity.

Order from one place get 1 type of stealth go on here and get all kinds of stealth that others will copy making profiling easier some vendors have really smart stealth that you don't want getting copied cause can be done wrong and then they might think it's the original vendors stealth... it's just poor opsec... makes for harder to say what you post on here is your dilusional storys of fiction... the list can go on

LE already orders of the DNMs and keeps track of the city of origin for each vendor.

I don't want my favorite vendor(s) packs to be profiled because of someone stating what zip code the packs are sent frpm, who's on the return address, is it in an envelope, what type of decoy ect.. If you want to discuss stealth, do that in secured PM's. I'd be piss if some 16 year old went on here blabbin their mouth about every detail of the packs stealth, thus ruining it for other packs being profiled, or even the vendor getting arrested. Like someone else said, why make the pigs job easier??

Great point, I feel it just reflects on the paranoia of the community in general. The police are just too busy beating on normal street drug-addicts, by harassing them, forcing them to withdraw in jail and whatnot to care. That's enough to satisfy their sick desires to see other people hurt (and unimaginably so) for choosing a lifestyle that isnt theirs. Every cop should have to experience even moderate withdrawal before they get the privilege of forcing others into it. Guarantee you most of them couldn't take it for a moment, they'd be bawling like infants within a day, all of them.

I don't think LE would purchase anything unless it was a mass-vendor they were either closing in on, or trying to. Doing this in general in a carpet-bombing fashion would be a tremendous waste of their money, and they'd get very little from it.
The only scenario I see them doing that is if there is a substantial downward trend in seized packages through internal statistics on it, and then they'd make some purchases to get a primer on newer techniques. That's how I see it at least.
I'm jumping around a little because its 4am here and I'm about to go to bed. Another MAJOR reason for not talking about stealth is because it forces the vendors to do their own research, and come up with their own custom-tailored solution to getting the product reliably to customers. If all vendors followed some standard, it would become easier for LE to intercept by orders of magnitude. Because everyone is doing their own thing with their own little tricks, its like finding a needles in a haystack, but now some of those needles look like hay.

Well at least you got paid for your secrets. Why give it away for free?
Also, publishing to the internet is clearly a broader audience than one investigator or agency.

I just always figured new vendors would find out stealth methods the same way LE and regular dnm users do... by ordering.

It's because most people, even in this community, have the wrong idea about how security works - it isn't about being foolproof, or being obscure, or anything like that (although those things play into it) - rather, security is about the expense of attacks. We can't prevent LE from finding a given DNM package, but we can make it as expensive as possible (in actual money and employee time/resources) for them to do that. And so, consider the expense (to LE) of investigating a vendor that's a high-value target - they have to place perhaps a handful of actual orders, that cost actual money, and maintain a covert drop where they can receive the packs. They have to pay the employees coordinating all of this, acquire the bitcoin, get the authorization from their superiors and maybe even a warrant (which means occupying the paid of expensive lawyers), and so on and so on. A reasonable ballpark estimate for LE to profile a particular vendor's shipping methods and locations is probably around $10,000, to cover all these expenses (yes, the government does things the expensive way). There are literally hundreds of vendors that they'd like to do this for - but doing it for five hundred vendors would cost five MILLION dollars. And that's probably close to the entire budget for the entire FBI office that runs these investigations - they just can't do it. Not to mention that they don't have the staff to handle that workload. And that's just to build the mail profile! There's still even more expenses involved with actually catching the mail in transit after that point, and conducting the bust, etc.
But if they can instead just search for their target's name on this subreddit, and find out where they ship from, what stealth they use, etc., the expense of this process goes way, way down. While they would still have to do some investigative work, it could easily be half or less of the expense. That means that at least twice as many vendors (and their customers) could end up getting busted, for a given LE budget.
That's why.

It's just not your place to ruin the stealth of the vendor. Some go through a lot to keep it on the down low, why fuck it up on them
[-4 Points] YeOldeShoppe2:
It's not that easy for them to order things and see for themselves because they suck at blending in and executing orders normally.
Why make their job easier?
