Selective Scam by well known vendor

Need some advice. Using a throwaway account. I ordered a small quantity of stuff from a well known and respected European vendor. Shipping from the UK to US. I don't want to get into details regarding the vendor's identity until I have heard some advice on what to do.

Anyhow, at the time of the order, the vendor had like 700 reviews on Nucleus and all were positive, nothing about scams. He was also recommended by many respected members on various review boards. So I felt safe in ordering. it was an FE order, vendor doesn't accept escrow. Generally I never do FE but given that this was a trusted vendor I went with it.

The vendor's country is not a known source country and is generally safe to order from. I have never heard of someone losing a pack from UK. Its not like Holland or Germany. It was small amount so it would fit in a letter making it even safer. The shipping was supposed to take 2 weeks at the most, usually less.

After 2 weeks pass, no pack. I contacted the vendor, he says packages are not tracked but immediately offered a reship without asking for any details (i.e. love letter, etc). Reships are 50% of the initial amount.

I got a bit suspicious that he would offer reship so quickly without any questions. Went back to reviews and it turns out that recently a few people had a similar situation with this vendor. Packs going "missing" and then being quickly offered a 50% reship.

I feel that the vendor never actually sent the first pack and basically scammed me out of 50% of the product. Seems like a perfect scam, saying that first pack got seized and being a nice guy and sending 50% for free, most customers would accept that their stuff was caught by customs and would be happy getting 50% of what they ordered. There is no way anything can be proved since there was no tracking.

Its been more than a month and I didn't receive the original pack or anything from customs. It is my understanding that customs have to send you a notice that they seized your shit, that's why I think it was never sent and never seized.

What do you guys think I should do? Any way to get 50% of my money back? the vendor continues to operate on the markets.

To be honest, you need to name the vendor, all you can do is warn others.

Sorry this happened to you and I guess it's another proof that you should never FE more than you are prepared to lose, even with trusted vendors.

Not much you can do except posting on forums and here too. That's just how things happen sometimes.

UK is scam central, Nothing in UK that is not available elsewhere from cheaper and more reliable vendors.

Your 50% is gone, even if the vendor is proven to be scamming and banned, you FEd so the market won't return the cash

You cannot be 100% that it didn't get intercepted, there would be no letter were it stolen
