Had to pay postage at the door for DNM package. How would you feel about this?

Alright, so my drop got a knock on their door today, surprised to see my mail lady. She politely explained that the shipper had taped over the stamp on the package & it needed to be paid for again as the clear tape over the stamp voided it. $6 and some change later, pack is in the dudes hand. Honestly he was freaked about it & I'm pretty annoyed as I see this as a flaw in opsec

I've ordered from this vendor before & everything was smooth. This time took almost a full week (close to the 72hours to ship) & then the whole postage issue...

Edit: for spell & to mention a little about my experience with the vendor

It's normal policy since you could use the stamp again and that way defraud the postal service. Vendor mistakes happen and if he's a decent vendor he will apologize and refund you the 6 usd.

U.S. stamps that are mutilated or defaced; cut from stamped envelopes, aerogrammes, or stamped cards; covered or coated in such a manner that canceling or defacing marks cannot be printed onto the stamps; or overprinted with an unauthorized design, message, or other marking.

My guess is the ink used to post mark a stamp does not bind to tape very well, like try using a marker on tape, wipes right off, but use the same marker on paper and it sticks.

I'd let the vendor know to stop doing it and leave appropriate feedback depending on how you feel about the situation and if the vendor tries to make it right.
