LocalBitcoins Questions

Do people that use LBC tumble their coins or just filter through multiple wallets? This will be my first time using LBC.

Thank you.

If your real identity isn't attached then no reason to

I always get my coins from LBC by in person cash meetings, ive never used LBC escrow the seller has always sent coin directly from their wallet to my wallet. I always make a new wallet anytime i meet up to purchase So the guy cant look at my wallet transaction history. From here i usually send it to a second wallet that most of my funds end up in, and from this wallet i send to my market wallet.

1 brand new wallet to accept coin --> existing BTC wallet --> Market wallet.

THIS IS NOT TUMBLING, i simply do this so those i buy coin from cant get curious i go looking at the history of the wallet address i give them.

If you are a buyer then in my opinion you do not need to tumble unless youre working with unusually large amounts.

When purchasing via in-person cash transactions, I usually split it up into 3-6 different wallets then slowly filter to the final destination. Anything that's attached to my name needs to be tumbled.

Granted, if you're making personal amount sized purchases just sending to different wallets is fine.

what difference does it make if you send them through 1 wallet or 20? the same route is there to follow on the blockchain. the taint is the same. you use the word "filter" but that seems like a large misnomer unless I am missing something.
