Vendor asking if I want to revend for them....what?

I have no experience with this stuff, other than I've found a handful of good vendors who I order from often.

One of them has asked me if I want to "revend" for them....what? I'm not even sure why they asked - but it's definitely not something I am even remotely interested in. Talked about if I was willing to drop packages for them, in exchange for them sending me a bigger order than I usually place. Still not even interested - I want to pay for my own things and that's it.

Does this happen with vendors, is this a "thing" that some vendors will ask this? It seems so weird to me. Like I said, I will explain that I am not interested in doing this, but is this a bad sign or something?

sorry if this is a noob question

Personally i would never use the vendor again. Seems like a good way to get busted.

This is not a thing.

Just wanted to add my experience and let you know it's not completely abnormal.

This has happened to me twice (two different instances/markets) in 3 years. Technically, the vendor is looking for a drop shipper to avoid his geo from getting targeted for multiple, obvious reasons.

A few similarities between both instances for me:

One of them was on the og SR and I haven't seen said vendor with same handle since takedown

One of them I have used through 3 markets. Vendor is currently very well known on AB for in his category

I politely said no to both and that was that.

I almost jumped on that grenade when I was a n00b on SR...but before I said yes, the market got taken down.

I would stay far away from that vendor from now on

great - just like i expected that it was some weird thing. wasn't interested before these comments and definitely not interested now.

i apologize again for the amateur question but seriously i never ever would consider doing this.

So do others also think this means very bad news for me....?

[1 Points] DarkMarkThroAway:

Thought I would chime in and also say this is not completely abnormal, depending on the market you use. The market I use has a whole system devoted to vendors working with local drop men/women. Generally this is only available in major cities but it does work and it is the dropmen/women that instigate the arrangement by creating their profile on the system. A vendor doesn't just randomly write you and say, 'Hey, I want you to be my corner boy bruh". That would be strange and I would avoid future dealings.

[1 Points] TheLaundromat:

This would involve sharing buyers info with an untrusted 3rd party which is generally a big no-no, but it would allow that vendor to profit without actually vending, and make them harder to profile. If you actually know package stealth you could make some good money, but it would depend on the vendors history - if theyve recently taken a hiatus or have been acting scammy. If you are a repeat customer it sounds like they trust you, if it was randomly wihtout explanation its more suspicious, but they would be risking losing everything they front you so you must have a good relationship.

WHY DOES EVERYONE ALWAYS FAIL TO NAME THE MOTHER FUCKING VENDOR???

expect to be used as a drop anyway. call the police as soon as you find boxes near
