While we try to get this up and running, why not donate your leftover BTC to the SSBD Fundraiser?
With all the recent controversy over inaccurate purities and dosages of drugs from the DNM's, I think we should set up a bitcoin fund for lab tests to support accountability for vendors. It would be managed by one of the moderators, and whoever has spare bitcoin or just wants to donate can contribute.
We could put together a running list of the most popular items we would like to see tested (for me it would be BlueViking's 100ug LSD) and whenever someone provides the official lab report they will be reimbursed with the bitcoin in the lab test fund. Of course they would have to be assured that there are sufficient funds in the wallet, and they would have to make it known that they are sending in a sample so multiple people do not send in the same product, unless we want replicate results. Based on what I saw in the other thread, a lab test for LSD dosage is ~70USD + cost of the LSD, so if make this well known (sidebar?) coming up with the money for several tests wouldn't take long.
Edit: The primary concern right now seems to be that belligerent vendors could send in low quality items and pass off the results as results from another vendor's item. We need a verification system or something to prevent this. However, the fact that generally, no one's account is tied to them, could pose a problem.
Edit 2: Unless we come up with a solution to stop rival vendors from sending in weak products, we may have to do this all through the mods, or come up with a rigorous verification system.
Edit 3: The way I see it, there are 2 courses of action we could take. The reason for this is that I see no way to verify that any given user is not a rival vendor, or the vendor themselves.
One assumes we cannot trust any reddit user who is not a moderator. This means that the only way we could do this would be for the mods to buy product and reship it to a lab, after which they would reimbursed for all costs.
The other places a small amount of trust in the average user. If we had the customer put their reddit username in the feedback of their order and send a mod the .onion link to the feedback page, it would be at least good enough to verify that that specific reddit user purchased the product. This doesn't stop a vendor or rival vendor from creating a reddit account, buying an item, leaving the username in the feedback, and verifying themselves that way, but combined with other measures like a minimum amount for the verification order (50-100USD? The item a reviewer bought is listed under the feedback on evo) and minimum account age and possibly subjective post history evaluation by the mods, it could greatly dissuade vendors and their rivals from spoofing reports.
Also, we need a way to verify that the reports are real.
Lobali said he would be down to in someway be involved or be in control of this. I think that would involve him being in charge of the donated BTC to be used for the tests. I think that is the best course of action if we can make it happen. LSD would be the primary substance to pursue tests for, at least in my opinion
