For seized domestic packages, this status seems to be relatively new.(past few years) It seems in most cases a CD would occur rather than this status alert by usps. Has anyone had contact, call, or letter from uspis or other agency after seeing that status?
Had something snagged by LE once, wasn't related to DNM though. A buddy tried to ship it over but he's profoundly stupid so we got caught. When I was waiting for it to arrive I got a call from the postal inspector asking if I was expecting a package, obviously said no. Asked for my permission to open said package as it was "suspicious" and I said sure because at this point I was thinking about plausible deniability. Sure enough, they got the goods and asked if I know who sent them to me. I said I had no clue who would do that and they said that if I can figure it out to tell them its a felony. They told me that if it happens again something bad could come of it and then they told me to have a nice day. Very friendly and cooperative even though they are smart enough to know what was going on. Less than an hour later the status changed to "Package seized by Law Enforcement". Literally nothing else ever came of that except for me destroying every single one of my pieces and all fun substances in preparation for a CD that never came. Still glad I cleaned house though. The status is real.
