How reliable are "verification" systems that identify established vendors from other markets ?

When a vendor is "Verified" (for example, like on Dream Market) as being a member of another well-known DNM, how reliable is that info? Would an imposter easily be able to "prove" they are an established vendor (whose name they've stolen)?

One of my favorite Agora vendors, REALRX, just appeared on Dream Market with identical info. He's "Verified" but has no Dream Market reviews yet. Could this be a scammer, or can I trust the verification?

It means they have been verified via PGP. So unless someone has gained access to a vendors PGP private key AND passphrase, then it is most likely the same vendor. But being "Verified" doesn't necessarily mean the vendor won't scam....

Got ripped off by Trichrometry on BB, they were verified as the same vendor from Evo. Had great success with them on Evo. However on BB I Fe'd and lost the 80$( which ya know never spend more then you can lose)

So I would be leary and do NOT FE..unless you have had extensive communication and really know the vendor.

Verified means he proved he owns the key pair by decryption a message. Nothing more and nothing less.
