Do not use USPS.COM

I can access the USPS website, but as soon as I check tracking it reads, "You don't have permission to access "http://tools.usps.com/go/TrackConfirmAction?" on this server. Reference #_________________________" with a long digit number. This seems specifically to Tor on USPS, anyone have the same issue, or can anyone offer a solution? Thanks. 14 commentssharesavehidegive goldr

USPS.com blocks access via Tor now.

You can use this alternate site via Tor to track your package:

Checking your tracking with TOR just flags it anyway, they did you a favor

why would usps block tor....?

You do not have to be so paranoid about checking your tracking number with Tor. Regardless of how you look up that number it is a recorded request and will show the route (from and to).

If whoever is sending it to you is using common sense then the gov needs a warrant for any and all first class mail. Any other form of US Postal mail does not require a warrant. Express, Priority, parcel or media can be opened at anytime.

Edit: I stand corrected, it looks like Parcel mail is also protected. - which is kind of strange that Priority is not.

UPS and FedEx do not require a warrant to open and look into. It's f'n BS but that's the way it is.
