What is common/normal policy for undelivered packages?

I had ordered some product from a vendor on Agora 2 weeks ago and I was just notified that the package is undeliverable because of water damage and or label damage. The vendor gave me a 50% refund and said he couldn't reship.

I feel like I got shafted and I'm having to take a loss on the vendor's mistake for not protecting the shipping label. Besides I don't even know if the package was ever shipped in the first place. Whose to say he didn't just pull some kind of 50/50 scam and never actually shipped anything.

So anyway is this normal vendor behavior? I've never ran into an undelivered package problem before so I don't know how they are normally handled. I had always thought they just re-ship.

Every vendor has their own policy. He could be scamming you but who knows? What does the vendor's feedback look like?

Every vendor has their own policy and it depends on each situation. You should always try to message the vendor to try and sort things out before you open a dispute. Even then a lot of the disputes go in favor of the vendor. To win a dispute you have to prove that either the product that arrived was not as advertised or that the package did not arrive at all, both very hard things to prove. You will find vendors that are scammers but you will also find buyers looking to place an order and try and get a full refund even though their drugs arrived.

It depends. If he can provide you with a tracking number and you can look it up yourself and it says something about there being a delivery exception then it probably wasn't a scam.

As far as the 50% refund goes, that seems to be standard.

Damn that's rough, hopefully it wasn't too much capital/quantity ordered

You just gotta read all the reviews, and pay special attention the negative ones. I could give anecdotal evidence about certain vendors but it's not gonna help. Did you FE? Agora would make them prove that it was water damage if the funds are still in escrow. If you did, then I would not FE again unless you feel really confident in the vendor.
