Does anyone have any doubts about Cazes's "suicide"?

I'm not suggesting that I know anything to suggest that Cazes didn't commit suicide, but seeing as how corrupt Thailand is...I am curious as to whether or not Cazes offed himself or if perhaps something more sinister may have occurred. For all we know the Thai police could have tortured the guy for private keys and murdered him once they got what they wanted. Surely I can't be the first to have considered this? Thoughts?

A lot of people have been saying this, but is it really that hard to believe the dude just didn't wanna spend his life in prison? He probably knew he wouldn't have an easy time in an American prison as a Canadian computer geek. I'm not saying it's impossible that something more sinister happened, but I think it's pretty likely he just offed himself to avoid spending the rest of his life in a cell.

You're not the only one that thinks it's suspicious. However, I think the theory that if the official story is that if the suspect is dead, then LE doesn't have to give up it's tactics for capture, then I think it's something to consider. Let's say that homie is dead, then that leaves the HANSA admin and the random US dude who was captured for AB. I'm really interested in the HANSA case, because from there we will be be to move forward.

I do feel that we need to start moving this forum to another service. REDDIT is not safe, and we see this with how they change the top trending topics for just something as simple as politics, you don't think they are amongst us in here?! This is insane. We're so clearly out there that it's crazy.

I don't think he's actually dead. The more I read about him and his lifestyle and who he was(a stereotypical bro), he most likely is in witness protection and his death was faked. With his help, they'd be able to take down hundreds of large vendors.

This guy wasn't Ross, hiring hitmen and having his deep libertarian free market beliefs.

This guy was a computer programmer who liked money and bitches.

what do Thailand gain from killing him?

None.

Put aside his personal legal situation. He LUCKED OUT - the U.S. was going to extradite him. That's the best possible outcome for someone with his charges getting arrested in Thailand.

Assuming he loved his wife (and really, why would he have married her if no), she's likely facing many of those same charges in Thailand, where the likeliest outcome is execution.

My theory: He was in his jail cell, and police paid him a visit to let him know what was going on (you're being extradited, your wife will be staying here), and he realized what the future held...

I know Ross only visited Thailand, but Variety Jones was living (and arrested) there, and now Cases... Can't fathom why all these people think that Thailand is the place to go. Might as well go to the Philippines. Or... stick around in a European country that wouldn't extradite people facing life sentences, etc...

I have no doubt about the fact that he committed suicide. What would be the value in killing him? More likely he committed suicide because he couldn't fathom the thought of getting caught and spending the rest of his life in jail.
