Sneaking pill on a plane

Has anyone every tried taking prescription pill bottles in with your carry on bag? I have a prescription for seroquel that i'll carry with me legally, but I have yellow school buses that I want to take with me home. I can break them in half so they are a closer shape to the seroquel, which is a light yellow oval pill. DO YOU THINK I'LL GET AWAY WITH IT? Im flying from LAX.

TSA is looking for bombs, not drugs. You can board with them in your pocket if you want. They aren't searching for them, and they don't drug sniff domestic flights.

Edit: Since this is irresponsible sounding, let me clarify myself. There is always a chance of getting caught. TSA looks through your purse and sees a bag of weed, they probably won't just ignore it. It's also a possibility for drug dogs to be around. The point I was really trying to make was that it isn't the standard procedure for them to actively search for drugs.

You would get through fine. BUT. is your life worth what like 50 bucks of pills... I doubt it.

Wtf is a yellow school bus?

just get something like this and put extra vitamins, or similar, in each slot.

Whenever I wanted to bring drugs that weren't prescribed to me on a plan, I'd grind up (in my case, OP 80s) the pill and put it into a Nexium (which is OTC now) and put it in my Nexium prescription bottle.

I flew a lot when I had my old job, most commonly LAX -> NYC, and it was either Delta or United.

I was always overly cautious.

I've already carried prescription drugs with me, on my person on a plane. Unless you are getting strip searched it's not gonna be an issue. As long as you're supposed to have them, it's fine.

Shouldn't be an issue at all. Of all the times I've travelled, not once has TSA ever looked at my medications. I have meds in the original bottles, in unmarked pill containers, etc - never been an issue. I never have them on me though (with body scanners, I'm sure it would pick up on it and they'd wonder why you have a ton of pills in your pocket) - just put it in your normal carry on bag and send it on through the x-ray. Not a big deal, at least domestically (US).

Just put them in a separate pill bottle. They dont check. I do it all the time. Just make sure to only put one type of pill per bottle

If you're carry a legal perscription bottle I doubt they'd dump the pills to confirm whats suppose to be in the bottle...make sure not to be "nervous" about it, or give them a reason to think you're carry something your not suppose to.

I've done it a few times where I carry my perscriptions in my purse and if I need to add something I just throw em in the bottle.

Another time I bought a new bottle of tylenol Mixed the others in and they didn't give anything a second look.

I've taken pills with me so many times, it's not even fucking funny. Just put it in a vitamin bottle, make sure that your pills look like the ones in the bottle, shake 'em up, put them in your bag. Separate them in the bathroom if you want to avoid the tediousness of getting them out at your destination. Rinse and repeat. Safe travels.
