Usage of monero

I just did my first transaction with monero and I am amazed. Not only it was much faster than bitcoin but I also didn't have to worry about tumbling and on 150$ order I have payed 0.15$ fee :O I have no idea why more people and more vendors aren't using it. You can even buy it directly on an exchange from EUR/USD and after you transfer it to your wallet all ties are lost.

THIS. More people arent using XMR thanks to the incessant shill blame games played by some of the mods and other users here, accusing everyone who posted about XMR of "pumping" the coin.

There is nothing to pump and it is clear without a question that XMR is more suited for DNMs thanks to its privacy advantage and also fast txn.

XMR has always confirmed within minutes for me.

Could you name the vendor? I think vendors who offer XMR must be listed out or reviewed so that people know that there are vendors taking their financial opsec seriously.

What's the easiest way to instantly buy Monero? I use Coinbase for BTC, which is inconvenient, but not terrible.

Monero is the future of digital cash. Private by default, trustless, decentralized, FUNGIBLE (look this up if you don't know what it means or why it's important).

Monero is the reason I use AlphaBay!

I use coinbase. Where can uu get monero and wut do u mean ties are lost when transferrd to ur wallet. like ur perosnal wallet on tails or something?

my only qualm with monero is that the coin's lead dev/creator fluffypony recently trolled a ton of people by pumping and dumping his own coin. he promised a "major announcement" and then said there wasn't actually one. doesn't really affect fundamentals but definitely shook confidence in monero. dude is a joke

Monero is certainly good but has its flaws. I can't wait for Particl on the other hand.

Just be sure not to send directly from exchange to market. Something like this should be fine:

  1. exchange -> wallet 1
  2. wallet 1 -> wallet 2 (use higher ringsize)
  3. wallet 2 -> market

Note that with Monero every movement of funds further blurs the trail :) Even without this effect, addresses can't be linked to coins since no addresses ever appear on the blockchain. Each send makes a brand-new one-time destination.

Dogecoin is better

Why I will not accept XMR (Monero) as a vendor...

https://np.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/604g7f/alphabay_is_going_to_accept_ethereum_the_dark/df3lj4u/

Just for the record - I'm on the pro-BU side of things here - AlphaBay also began accepting Monero a few months back. As someone who allegedly receives referral commissions from buyers on that site, I can confirm that essentially nobody uses it.

. . .

Monero sees no use partially because there's little infrastructure around it, and you have to go through Bitcoin to get it. Will Ethereum suffer the same fate? Maybe not, but its use over the short term is likely minimal.

Bitcoin can be made anonymous enough already, its much less volatile than altcoins and there's a much much larger infrastructure around it.
