First, thanks to the ones who answered me!
I got an answer from the vendor explaining why he did that. He has received a big amount of one of his product and he is doing a big sale on it. The FE is to make it more easy and fast for him to manage the huge increase in sales due to this promotion. After disscusing with him, he also accepted to make a custom listing for me with escrow.
Two things I learned from this: * FE is not synonym with exit scam (not always at least) * Communication is the key to a working relationship between customers and vendors. If something feels off, ask! If you are speaking to a good vendor, he will aswer and try to find a solution. This also allows you to asses the seriousness of your vendors.
The "I'm doing a big FE sale because I have so much product!" is a textbook scam.
Don't fall for it bro. It's a definite scam. The "big FE sale" is like the darknet market version of the nigerian prince email scam it's so common.
