Oh yeah, another thing. Isn't a bitcoin tumbler the perfect honeypot if they were to actually seriously pursue buyers? Why wouldn't they do that, it's way too easy and cheap to do.

The resources at the disposal of the US government, let alone US, UK, EU combined, are orders of magnitude greater than the resources of the people who are willing and able to operate tor relays/exit nodes. I mean, the NSA's data center has a $30k per month water bill just for the water to cool their computers at that one location. Not to mention they also have superior positions in network infrastructure for carrying out MITM attacks. So, basically, if they want to, they can pretty much overwhelm the tor network with numbers so that they are operating every node in a particular circuit and spoofing the destination server with a MITM attack.
