Any interest in yet another market?

My friend and I are 5th year computer science students and considering launching our own dark net market.

We are aware there are already a couple of well put together and professional markets like agora and evolution, but ours would be a little different, in that we would be a lot less involved.

By this I mean that the market would be pretty much between the vendor and buyer, with very little protections put in place for either party. This would have the downside that it may allow for scamming, but the upside that we could charge virtually zero fees.

The market would be designed so that minimal funds are stored on site, and at checkout funds are sent directly from the customers bitcoin wallet to an intermediary address where they would be mixed and then forwarded to the sellers external address.

Really the only advantage of our market over working with a vendor offsite is it would allow people to find what they need in an organized environment, and to leave feedback. Like I said though, there really wouldn't be much support except for technical issues since we don't exactly have a support staff. We would have essentially no involvement when it comes to vendor/customer relations, except to remove vendors that are obviously scamming.

The only fees however would be a $50 or so vendor registration fee to avoid spam (with free reg for established vendors).

Another idea we had was for a 2 party multisgnature escrow, where both the buyer/seller would have to agree to release funds to one party (we would not participate), but one party could put in a request and if it wasn't challenged in 5 days or so the funds would be released.

Anyways, if there would actually be any interest in another market, we're both pretty experienced and are looking for another project.

TLDR: thinking about creating another market with ~0 fees but also limited protections

Been there.

Wow! There is no market with this feature.

there really wouldn't be much support

Sounds promising! No support. no resolution.

2 party multisgnature escrow

So innovative!

I imagine you'll get a lot of sarcasm from people, but I actually commend you for asking people's opinions. Markets spring up like clovers in spring, and consistently announce what they're doing "differently" and try to convince people that is exactly what they want, they just don't know it yet.

In a relatively short time that darknet markets have existed, users of then have become more sophisticated than the markets have kept up with. As user bases grow, forums (like this) have provided the means for people to understand what goes on behind the scenes, what technology is involved and what technology has to offer. It's no longer a matter of people scrambling to figure out just enough to get bitcoins to the market and drugs to their mailbox. Users are a lot more savvy already, and will continue on that path.

The markets that are succeeding are doing so by paying attention to what people want them to be and adapting to them, rather than trying to get users to adapt to the market. So you're honestly starting off better than the current sarcasm in the thread suggests - you're asking what people would want. The next seventy five steps all involve listening.

Good luck!

The amount of scamming is already a monstrosity. We don't need a less secure market. That really is not an attractive advertising point id brag about. "...scamming made easier."

Honestly it seems there's no reason for your market.

I don't think people would really go for this to be honest....you would only really be able to buy from vendors you trust already due to the high probability of mass scamming, and most people are already dealing direct with trusted vendors anyway.
