Why is it so difficult to become a seller?

Hi, well I used to be on the Blackmarket like 2 years ago. I had a friend who has been a seller on there but for me it wasn´t that interesting. Anyways I always prefered to sell my stuff far away from the Internet. Since I moved to Latin America, having really good contacts I´m playing with the Idea of "Online Business". So Ive been checking how.. and i noticed that the pricing for a bitcoin and the "subscription fee" as a seller has raised from 11$ from back in those days to 245$ per Bitcoin. Do all markets require the same amount of $ for the Subscription?

Thx and sorry for these noob question.. tc

Complaining about seller fees = you're not ready to be a vendor

The vendor bonds, or subscription fee, does vary market to market, but they are all probably going to be in the same ballpark. We used to have a market comparison chart that had the markets and the associated vendor fee, but I can't seem to find it at the moment.

The BTC price is largely irrelevant. It is what it is and pricing of products is generally pegged to a fiat currency anyway. But yeah, BTC price has sure appreciated over the years.

Standards of opsec has changed over the years as well. People were sloppier a few years ago, esp back in the original SR days. Things are tightening up for the most part. PGP is mandatory. Welcome to the community!

I'm not a vendor so don't have much advice to offer.

It isn't difficult :/

what market had a vendor fee of 11$?

[1 Points] Febbraio2468:

When I started on Silk Road the vendor fee was like $100 and bitcoin was going for $8, damn those where the days!

[1 Points] Trappy_Pandora:

/r/alphabay offers vendor accounts for $100 worth of bitcoin. The cost is tied to the value of bitcoin, not a fixed amount of bitcoins.

Crypto market was free to vend on.

The vendor bond cost has raised due to the influx of population and little kids getting on the darknet markets. It keeps the scammer rate lower. If you do not have $450 to invest in a multi thousand dollar profit business then you probably dont have the resources to be a seller.

What Latin American goodies were you planning on selling? If you have access to decent cocaine or heroin you'll earn the vendor bond back in 24 hours or less. (Shipping marijuana internationally is a bit trickier but it can be done...).
