Encrypting a message with a Mac

Trying to find a way to encrypt my address on a Mac. I downloaded GPG suite but that only works if you're using email. What can I use to encrypt a message without having to send it through email?

Open TextEdit. Highlight text you want to encrypt, right click, then click Services, then click OpenPGP: Encrypt.

An email isn't actually necessary for GPGTools. In fact, most buyers and vendors don't even use a real email when setting up their PGP accounts. Should be fairly straightforward, but check out a few guide/videos if you're still confused. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iziHyMKc1BI

Here's an alternative that I highly recommend; it's much easier to use and probably just as safe:

another option: set up a linux vm solely for gpg work

easier to nuke the vm's file when you need to eliminate traces

this also has the advantage of conealing you're running a mac on your public key line

(second line of the key gives your pgp suite info)

Gpg suite does not require you to use e-mail. Just put a fake e-mail address (ex: notreal@fake.org) in the field asking for an e-mail address. Done..

Also, don't out your real name.
