what difference does it make using a PO Box if your names on it anyway?

It doesn't make any difference security-wise. People use po boxes when they don't have somewhere to mail it to, like if they live with their parents or are at college. People using it because it's "safer" are fooling themselves. I don't believe you're any more likely to have stuff seized (I use a box and my home address and I've never had a seizure), but I don't believe it's less likely either.

I would think this method is more incriminating (if the pack is found) then ordering to a home address. Having a box that only you can open makes it really hard to deny the drugs aren't yours.

Someone will say "fake id's", but what difference does it make? If LE catches you with the drugs and tries to arrest you they will just arrest you thinking you're someone else, but then find out who you really are when they book you and you'll get in trouble for the fake along with the drugs. If I'm wrong about this someone please explain. I see people saying to use a fake for po boxes all the time with no explanation as to why this safer.

So...... When you open your PO, you can put down names of people who can also access the box/get mail sent there. Put down a name, generic, let's say Sam Smith for your illegal purchases. Have mail flow going in that legal from r/freebies, go in, collect Sams mail, plausible deniability. Derpy Derp Durp

I used ma and pa mailbox stores and a different fake ID for each. A badly made fake DL and college ID and a year of service at a private franchise store costs under $300, dirt cheap. They might still have camera footage of me paying cash for the box initially, it isn't impossible that they keep months worth of video archives in a tiny store that is barely making it as it is. All I know for sure is once I pull a crisp $100 bill out of my wallet, they practically forget to toss my nearly illegible ID onto the Xerox and sign me up. The last thing they care about is postal regulations.

Having your real name on a PO box OR trying to use a fake ID at a real USPS office is insane. You can bet the cameras work, the employees don't care about your business and their main concern is postal regulations, plus they have the FBI on speed dial.

If I had ever got popped walking into our out of any of those stores with a kilo of K under my arm, that fake name would mean nothing. But at least if an incoming package were compromised, LE would have more work to do than just calling the PO and asking for my home address.

Fake ID at a third party store for security, OR real info at a real PO for privacy from roommates or parents. Don't confuse one with the other.

It's not that hard to get one that dosen't trace back to you. I just got a cheap $15 student ID from /r/FakeID, and printed generic rental agreements.
