So I've ordered weed from this vendor multiple times without an issue. Package is left at my door/mailbox and I pick it up when I get home.
Today (27th) I get a pink USPS final notice redelivery slip claiming they've been trying to deliver this package since the 22nd although this is the first notice I've been given. The slip doesn't have the signature required box checked, so I'm not sure why they aren't just leaving it at the door/mailbox like all my previous orders.
My question is, to schedule redelivery at this point I will have to go to USPS.com, fill out my address info, and schedule a redelivery. Is this proof of package acceptance similar to a signature? They mention information entered is subject to their privacy code or something like that. I assume if I go to the USPS facility they wil require photo I.D. which is equivalent to signing for a package.
Also I found it a bit odd there was such a delay from the 22nd to now the 27th with no notices prior to this "final notice."
So looking for advice. Should I try for redelivery or is it safer to just refuse the package? Am I being paranoid or has anyone else experienced something similar to this?
You'll be fine checkin the redeliver box. Add a note for them to leave package on the porch. If you are paranoid then clean house beforehand. Don't answer the door if they knock. If by some chance it is a cd then your house will be clean and you play dumb about the package.
