Received Postal Inspection Seizure Letter + Love Letter

Today I got a letter in the mail saying

"This purpose of this letter is to advise you a First class parcel addressed to you is currently being withheld from delivery as there are reasonable grounds to believe its contents are non-mailable, and possibly in violation of Federal law, specifically, the Controlled Substances Act. Our attempts to contact the sender to obtain additional information have been unsuccessful thus far..."

Two days ago, I also got a pink slip (love letter) saying that I need to sign for a letter at my local post office. The pink slip indicates a letter, not a parcel. I tracked the letter online and it is from the same state and area as the postal inspection letter seizure letter, maybe this pink slip could be for yet ANOTHER PIS seizure letter? Also, the PIS seizure letter I got today has the same date listed as the shipment date of the pink slip letter. Why would I be sent two letters? One non-signature conformation and one requiring it.

Should I go sign for the letter indicated on the pink slip?

I have no DNM orders pending.

Any other tips for best course of action here are welcome. What level of heat am I under here?

Thanks

May I ask what it possibly is that you may have ordered?

[7 Points] Haxforasscracks:

Can you at least answer these two questions.

Was it weed?

and if so yes

Was it from a "legal" state. Specifically Colorado or California?

I mean, they already have your address and name and... you aren't arrested, obviously. So you are fine, as long as you don't order anything else to this address. The USPIS is not in the habit of warning drug dealers of their upcoming raid.

However, this is the part I'm confused about:

I have no DNM orders pending.

???

I got a love letter years ago before DNM was even a thing. I had ordered weed seeds off some online site (clearnet obviously) anyway got the letter which freaked me out but I just left it alone stopped ordering seeds and now 10 years later here I am and I'm fine. Nothing ever came of my love letter.

Name the vendor.

A little heat but not much. They fired a warning shot now do your part and respond by laying low. Don't go ordering to that address for many months if at all ever again. A vendor's reputation isn't going to get ruined over 1 love letter unless it's a super small newer vendor or something so it's probably good for the community if you can share who the vendor was. I know if I was looking to order something I certainly wouldn't place an order with a vendor who just got someone else a love letter just a few days ago.

I've been in almost this exact same position. First, my drop received basically this exact letter and was asking for a signature...I refused because why not err on the side of caution and then a few days later received the same letter with no signature required. You should be good either way.

Like others have said, they tend to send duplicates. They want to make double sure you get the letter AND have proof you got it.

Yeah, it won't a make a difference either way. You might as well sign for it and get it. By sending a LL, they basically are saying they aren't interested in busting you and giving you a warning. Its safe to sign for it.

Not much, they are slapping your hands with a ruler. They aren't interested in pursuing criminal action against you, otherwise they probably wouldn't have given you the heads up. There is debate on whether a LL burns an address - I would play it safe and burn the address. Why risk it? I assume you had personal amounts. This is probably why you are getting a LL instead of a boot in your neck. Best course of action is to burn your address, maybe consider laying low for a bit, and trying to figure out how they found the pack. Let the vendor know their pack was seized - ask if this has been a problem for any of their customers - although many vendors won't be upfront with you I suppose. Many long time users have reported getting one, if not more, LL over the years and they continued ordering just fine. More than likely its fine, but I'd find another drop, if it were me and my safety. Good luck, you should be fine though. Sucks it happened.

Any information would be helpful. Have you ordered from this vendor before? Do they use all the usual sealing layers? Was it larger then a small flat rate box? If you could name the vendor, it could spare a lot of people headaches...im sure many people here are happy to answer your questions, so if you could address whatever questions you can we would all appreciate it.

I got the same letter recently! Had me so freaked out but now I'm actually laughing about it! No more dnm orders for me! It was fun while it lasted!
