Problem with reputable vendor...don't know what to do

So I placed an order a few weeks ago that I never received. After almost 3 weeks I contacted the vendor. He didn't seem too concerned that the order was missing. After a few days he finally told me that the order had been returned to the sender because of a bad address. Now I know my address is perfectly good, I receive clearnet packages regularly and have received a number of darknet packages as well.

I asked the vendor if he received the return (rather than just left at a postal facility somewhere) because I want to know if my address is compromised. He would not tell me and instead cancelled my order. Now I can't leave feedback and I don't know if it is safe to order anymore. He is a reputable vendor and I have no reason to burn him, but he is refusing to provide me with details necessary for buyer OPSEC.

Does anyone have suggestions on how to deal with this?

i'd demand proof... or burn the vendor. there is a huge difference between returned to sender for invalid address and seized package. even an i didn't ship it is better than nothing. you are owed the courtesy of tracking info to validate the vendor's story. his lack of response could be putting you at risk.

Was this an international order?
