Market review: Havana

I wanted to try the multi-sig at Havana. It was really easy. It asks for a public BTC key, which is as easy to get as right clicking on an address in electrum and clicking public keys.

The market then gives you a multisig address to deposit your coins. The market recognized the deposit as unconfirmed, this is impressive, most markets don't show until 6 confirmations. Now I just wait for the vendor to accept and ship.

If you are worried about learning multisig, you really shouldn't, from the buyers side it is really simple. All you need is a BTC wallet and be able to send coins to an address.

The only downside to Havana right now is the lack of vendors.

i keep hearing easy & simple that makes me worry even more.

guess i,ll be the real public TEST if you can get my old burnout ass using multisig, then ANYONE could do it.

hell back W/sr1 took me 6 months, by the time i figured out everything BTC, PGP, TOR. to use it. by then only got a few orders in before it was gone.

The Absolem announcement post today got lots of positive response from vendors so we have a stack of new vendor applications to go through. Most venodrs are cautious about brand new markets, so we are expecting and are prepared for a slow build in numbers of venders and listings over the coming weeks. We plan to be here for the long term. We'd rather take it slow and be careful in screening vendor applications. The last thing we want is a market filled with poor quality vendors or scammers.

Careful with this site so early on, there has been some talk of clearnet leaks by 'satoshi' http://www.reddit.com/r/DarkNetMarkets/comments/346pe8/absolem_is_officially_open_for_business_alldrug/

Obvious shill is obvious, what a bunch of scammers Havana/Absolem are.
