usps po box or ups po box???

believe me, i really just wanna use my home address, however if my mom finds a mysterious package in the mail, i will be seriously fucked and probably disowned. so with this being said, which is a safer and cheaper mailbox rental service? i know usps is around $80 a year but im not sure what ups is. anyone care to share their experiences with using a po box for drops?? i would greatly appreciate this as this whole thing makes me nervous as fuck

Stick with USPS.

Don't be nervous, be cautious. And don't order to your house, since it isn't yours, go get a PO Box. Use your real name and don't be sketch, you will be fine. I've used the same PO Box as my drop for almost 3 years, not a single package missing.

UPS/FedEx are private companies, meaning that if they suspect your package to contain drugs, they can open it at any time. USPS requires a warrant to search First Class packages. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but does the same go for Priority?

USPS is the way to go, FedEx & UPS are known to be used by drug traffickers and as someone else said they can open your mail without a warrant. Also it is $80 a year but you can pay for 6 month only if you'd like which is only $40 + some change.

you'll need two forms of ID to get a p.o. box at USPS or UPS thanks to homeland security.

Don't listen to the ones saying USPS PO box. I have both and can tell you that UPS stores are a much better option because they are run by random people and not by the gov't, like USPS PO boxes are.

UPS Stores send you emails with the tracking number when you receive, my USPS one does not.

UPS Stores have only 3-7 workers at most and aren't employees of the government.

Go with a UPS store, just alway act politely and dress like a normal person when you go in, they are usually nice because their job is so easy.

in the past i opened a box at a ups store to order christmas presents for the family and i didn't want them mailed to the house when i wasn't there.

used a credit card i had just gotten to open the box and order gifts from amazon.

about a day after opening the box, the very first time that credit card had been used, it was used to order stuff online at a bunch of diffferent stores, and some off them used the ups store address as send to addresses.

i cancelled the card and box and filled out a pollice report, but nothing ever came off it

stick with usps, they may be surly and rude, but they are more likely to leave your mail alone.

tl:dr someone at the ups store stole my credit card info and had stufff shipped to them there.
