Vendor is asking for a 5 star rating in exchange for a reship (original order never arrived). Should I do it? (Agora)

So, the situation is this: I ordered some NBome tabs about two months ago and it never arrived, so I sent a message to the vendor asking what could we do to sort this out. He responded with a very professional message saying that, for him to send a reship I would have to leave a 5 star rating. He says he uses this policy since SR1 to counter "review scams". But, to leave a 5 star rating, wouldn't I have to finalize the order? I mean, I trust him and all but I can't make sure he's actually sending the tabs. What should I do?

Wait, so he won't ship until you've left 5 stars? If feedback is editable after the fact, I'd say no problem. If it's not editable than that's bullshit because he could be fishing for a 5-star and not even send out a re-ship. He could easily claim that it was shipped/intercepted/you're lying about not getting it, etc.

I appreciate vendors who will do what it takes to make the customer happy, but this doesn't seem like one of those times.

Sounds bogus to me. The system is in place for a reason and this clown is trying to take advantage of it and you. Depending on how much your into the order for and how much you can afford to lose, I'd tell him review gets put in after you get product in hand, exactly how it was designed to work.

I don't know why on here we never suggest the simplest way to resolve these things .

But message him. Say thank for reply and let him know you have no intention of feedblackmailing him. But you cannot leave any feedback or finalize the order until it has been resolved.

If he is willing to reship and asusuming it arrives no issues you will happily give him a 5/5 rating. If you dobt he can use this conversation to dispute thebfeedback with admins.

But you won't finalize a rate an order you haven't received.

Pretty positive he's exit scamming. There is no "review scams" obviously if your order goes through you have no reason to leave a negative review. That being said, Agora will let you change the review afterwards, but I think the vendor is just trying to make the good reviews stay around as long as possible. Do the community a service and leave a 0/5 review now, with "will update if package goes through" message.
