PO Box under 18

I tried to purchase a PO box today at a US Postal Office. I have a drivers license for the photo id. I saw a website that stated you can use a non-photo ID other than the 3 that are shown on the PO box form. I walked in and tried to use a bank statement because it has my name and address on it. The employee said that I needed one of the 3 shown on the form. Has anyone rented a PO box without one of the 3 types of non-photo id on the form?

Edit: Guys I obviously meant under 18 feet tall, not 18 years old.

Well, at least you aren't ordering to your parents house.

You must be 18+ to enter this sub. Mod ban impending

Get a private mailbox instead of PO

You'll need the ID whether your 18 or not. They don't care if you're under 18 though. When I was under 18 I got a PO box no problem.

Get a voting card. Also you should only need 2 forms of ID; 1 photo ID and 1 non-photo ID.

If you're under 18 feet tall go to /r/fakeid, get a 21+ drivers liscence, and a fake student ID from /u/collegedropoutid then go somewhere with PMB's such as PostelAnnex, and give them your 2 forms of ID. Put fake info so if your mailbox is ever compromised you are untrackable.

They let me use 3 forms on nonofficial rather than the second type. I used my DL, military ID, and student ID.

You can't rent a box usps or private in the US without a photo ID.

When I went to the DOL for the first time to get my learners permit when I was 15, they accepted my student ID and my HS yearbook because both have photo and name. IMO... if it's good enough for the state to issue an ID card, it should be good enough to rent a PO box.
