Sup guys. I requested a custom listing for a vendor I am planning to make an order for. However, he blatantly put out my username for the listing. Not disrespecting his decision but is there an OPSEC flaw in that that I should be worried about? I messaged him about it too but I would like to see any other helpful responses too :). Thanks!
come on man you can do this, just use your brain and just THINK about it yourself. Why WOULD it matter? How could it possibly matter?
The answer is that no, it doesn't matter. Unless your market username is tied to your real identity in some way. For example, similar to your email address, where you live, your real name or a nick name, or a username on any other site for example on the clearnet.
Most vendors censor most of the username as a courtesy out of respect of your privacy, but it's not a safety issue.
People who come on reddit and answer questions like this don't have access to some secret OPSEC library. We just analyze the information presented, think critically and make a judgement call.
you could've EASILY come to the same conclusion. This isn't a difficult question, and I'm not trying to be rude, I'm trying to empower.
