Let me list a few suggestions for you:
Local Bitcoins --> Electrum --> Market
Local Bitcoins --> Electrum --> Tumbler --> Market
Local Bitcoins --> Random wallet --> Random wallet --> Market
Local Bitcoins --> Random wallet --> Tumbler--> Random wallet --> Market
You can find a lot of ways to buy, store and deal with coins. Replace the Local Bitcoins part with any way to buy coins and work out the rest using what I just put.

Please note that with all these people recommending Electrum and Multibit, you need to know that using those wallets WILL reveal which bitcoin addresses are yours and associate them with your IP address, unless you're using the Electrum that's bundled automatically with Tails, or somehow otherwise relaying its traffic through Tor (which I don't recommend trying, for novices).
Especially if you're asking these kinds of questions, I would say that it's extremely, urgently important for you to be using Tails, with its integrated Electrum wallet, and not try anything else.
To get the coins, you can use localbitcoins, a bitcoin ATM ("BTM"), LibertyX, etc. Doing all of this while preserving your anonymity to differing degrees may be tricky - think through everything you're doing before you do it, and know what you're doing over Tor and what you aren't, as well as what is associated with which aspect of your identity when. Any clarifying questions, just ask.

LibertyX. They don't verify the identity you use and you pay in cash.
There is another subreddit called /r/DarknetMarketsNoobs that is great for these kinds of questions!
