Both muriatic acid and hydrochloric acid have the same chemical formula (HCl) causing many people to think both of these acids are similar, but there is a difference between them. The purity of muriatic acid is less compared to original hydrochloric acid.
Same as the other acids, muriatic acid has so many industrial usages. It is mostly used as a cleaning agent for swimming pools and to clean tiles, metals and bricks. In industrial scale, it is used to produce papers, plastics and detergents. It can be used to adjust pH levels or to neutralize the alkalinity in paints or sealers. In cocaine production it is often subsituted for the purer hydrochloric acid but this subsitution results in a yellow tinge to the cocaine because of the iron content in the muriatic acid. It also is not as effecient for crystallizaiton procedures.

I'm sorry, this particular part is bullshit. Haven't read entire post, and stopped at the above sentence, and won't comment on anything else but that sentence. Chemistry graduate here. (not like it changes anything, this is really more common sense than university knowledge) You should always pour acid TO water, not the other way around. Acid has higher density, and if you poured water into acid, water would create a layer on top of the acid, not mixing with it like it would if you put acid into water. What happens on that layer is, water gets immediately heated to the boiling point, and starts squirting around (hot, boiling water, combined together with acid particles - better fuckin run...). So remember, ALWAYS pour acid to water, and do it slowly, not the other way around
