So I got this email from Coinbase. Did they find out what I was using BTC for? What's a trustworthy website to buy BTC?

"On October 06, 2017, you ordered 0.02544299 BTC via your payment method for $116.00 USD. Unfortunately this transaction has been canceled. Although we try to avoid canceling transactions, in rare circumstances certain transactions cannot be processed due to requirements imposed by our banking partners or other technical errors.

If your payment method was charged, you will receive a full refund as quickly as possible. Coinbase will not charge any fees for this transaction. If you have any questions, please contact our customer support team.

Kind regards, The Coinbase Team"

I would transfer my BTC to Blockchain then to my Dream wallet. Apparently that wasn't enough. Let me know what's going on! Thanks!

localbitcoins bank deposit. might be cheaper than coinbase. and coinbase tweaks i doubt they were tracking your coin.

If you are using a new credit/debit card you might have to call and authorize the transactions with your provider. Had the same thing happen a couple days ago and got the SAME emails about them canceling my btc order.

[3 Points] silverstudent:

nah you gotta call your bank and allow it because it's a foreign transaction. you can also use www.coinmama.com

Call your bank, there is a hold on your card of security.

That happens with my bank if I try to buy too much. Try a smaller amount like $50 or so and see if it works.

[1 Points] AgoraRefuge:

I got a different email when coinbase suspended my account for depositing into dnms. Currently I use Coinmama. A big downside is that you have to buy at least 70 usd worth, and the fee is a constant ten dollars. But if you're buying in larger amounts it's pretty convenient.

[1 Points] TheStateBar:

i get that message all the time, sometimes your bank will not allow the transaction because coinbase is based in Great Britain and your banks fraud detection center picks up on an out of country purchase.

Easy fix is just call your bank and ask them to approve the transaction before you try and make the purchase, that usually fixes it.

They haven't found out about your drug cravings, you are clean mate. lol.

There are plenty sites out there, I suggest you find one for yourself that suits you.

[1 Points] midnightmodders:

Same thing happened to me, I just tried again and it worked. Asked support about it and they said sometimes that just happens lol. Give it another go your fine

[1 Points] dabadabadoo480:

did you have enough money on your card to pay for the purchase..?

[1 Points] KingZork:

You bought bitcoin and sent it directly to a darknet wallet. That is the problem.

This is why it's recommended that you use more than one intermediary wallet to obfuscate your identity linked to any potential darknet activity.

Did you tumble your coins?

[1 Points] SsouthSside:

Probably took their precious time to bust a (no offense) a low level user for drugs. Sounds about right. Come back to reality bro you are fine.

[1 Points] Cookchef22:

Coinbase canceled my transaction before because my bank reported I didn't have sufficient funds in the account at the time of initiation...something to think about...i ordered $900 worth and only had 350 in my account at the time..
