Definitive Review for The Armory as of Late 2014

Everyone - as there have been too many mixed reviews for this vendor, I have decided to see once and for all if they are legitimate.

I will update this as details become available

I will even post pictures if they deliver

I'm referring, btw, to the vendor currently found here: ARMORYX7KVDQ3JDS.ONION Using the email: thearmory@lelantos.org I have confirmed they are the same as the user the_armory

Anyway, here's the story:

*I live in a country where guns are legal and commonplace, but it's not legal to import a particular type of gun. I've created a new reddit account (which is why you haven't seen me around before much) and a new email for the sake of security.

*The Armory and I negotiated a price and selected a product over email. They have been very professional in getting me a formal invoice, using PGP, setting up a multisig escrow, and confirming the escrow has been initiated.

*At present, they have advised that I should receive product 8 - 12 days from today.

*They have also advised once the product enters my country and is transferred to a local carrier, they will provide tracking info, etc.

*Again, I will update as details become available, but so far so good. If they are legitimate, they are very good. If they are a scam, they will have a mountain of evidence against them that I will publish and I'll have lost a few bucks for the sake of humanity.

If they're LE -- I suppose I'll disappear in a few days at most. O_O

Here's to hoping there are decent people left in the world.

EDIT 11/21 The Armory has informed me the product is, "Currently en route to the reshipper"... "ETA is Monday November 23rd"

EDIT 11/25 I've not been arrested yet or anything. I'm waiting on a shipping update at the moment. Shipping has been delayed due to the high volume of shipments this time of year. I will update Friday or when I have more information.

EDIT 12/1 I'm waiting on a tracking number at the moment. I know you can all read, but it's been about 10 days since I've placed the order. I'm going to give it about 8 more days (since they mentioned there were initial shipping delays) but I should be getting one of the following soon: *A tracking number and subsequently a package - in which case I'll post pics, etc *Nothing - in which case I'm posting all evidence of an attempted transaction, etc Let's see what happens.

As promised, I will keep you updated.

A "definitive" review of a vendor before you've received a product or even tracking, gotcha. Why didnt you just wait another 8 days?

[7 Points] InfinitelyOutThere:

Remember there is always the possibility of this guy just being the Armory themselves, but I hope he can deliver and put the rumors to bed

[6 Points] opiatethrowy:

Now would be a great time to not scam. 'Oh look this guys posting a review about me and its gaining a bit of popularity.' Then people see him as legit. Then comes the scam. Should of waited till you got your shit before posting anything.

[2 Points] citizen6548:

You have my attention, good Sir.

[2 Points] anti_body:

just curious if op read the previous warning about this vendor: http://www.reddit.com/r/onions/comments/2dmvnp/deep_dark_web_weapons_stores_scams_and_likely/ https://pay.reddit.com/r/DarkNetMarkets/comments/21qhwn/it_is_high_time_to_come_clean_on_the_armory/

[3 Points] wombosio:

I will publish and I'll have lost a few bucks for the sake of humanity.

Helping people buy guns is the opposite of that.

[2 Points] electricsharks:

Arrested?

[1 Points] ToxicTodd9:

OP must deliver!

[1 Points] inkhead1:

I'm thinking scam, but I really hope that it's not.

For all the scams out there you would hope that just one was legit, but a lot of times that is not the case.

[1 Points] None:

This is the opposite of definitive. 25% of the process has been complete, at most.

And you're purchasing a weapon, good god.

[1 Points] Jaymacmac:

Why would an illegal arms dealer or their customers need an invoice ?

[1 Points] None:

They have automatics?

[1 Points] None:

Just delete it and repost when it's actually done. Am I on crazy pills? Why is this happening?

[1 Points] hallucinating-horse:

Two scenarios here. That's if you're not the guy himself.

  1. You're scammed.

  2. FBI party van will be paying you a visit.

[1 Points] throwahooawayyfoe:

tl;dr it's a scam. don't waste your time or money.

RemindMe! eom Aromory

[1 Points] DrunkFern:

Weird that he disappeared and never updated right at the time he said he would.... honeypot I guess.

[1 Points] colonel_jack:

vapiano has been captured by le and is being waterboarded as we type

[1 Points] atfdontshootme:

OP? You still alive? I made an alt account just to research The Armory. Please don't be fake...

[1 Points] atfdontshootme:

Also, it seems that The Armory is down at armoryx7kvdq3jds.onion. Possibly related to OP's order? He got busted and The Armory did too? EDIT: Nevermind.

[1 Points] None:

RIP

[1 Points] crazyburnout:

So I'm assuming this guy got arrested if he isn't a shill

[0 Points] None:

Although I hate weapons being spread to individuals if not weapons at all I like your effort to contribute to the community.

[0 Points] mikegaslow:

Many of the pictures on The Armory can be tracked back to classified ads on armslist, gunbroker, and other such sites. That's why there's never anything (not even a sticky note) to identify a weapon as belonging to the Armory.

Armory is bogus.

[-6 Points] scammerwarning:

That domain has been used by a known scamme before, Inanna (inanna@lelantos.org) who did a big lsd group buy exit scam on tmg.

Looks like the domain was bought with bitcoins, unless its some type of email service, I bet you just got scammed. On second thought you probably got scammed either way.
