I recently made a purchase from a vendor and was told to wait about two weeks for it to arrive. No problem there. After the third week however I still had nothing from them in my mail. I messaged the vendor to ask if they knew what was going on, and I didn't recieve a response. I waited a few days and still didn't hear anything back. So finally I left negative feedback. And while this vendor at one point had fabulous reputation, it appears others who purchased something from them around the same time I made a purhcase are not recieving their orders as well.
Finally I figured enough is enough and I left bad feedback. I tried to be as patient as possible and I understand vendors are people too and that things happen. After I left negative feedback however, OF COURSE the vendor responds. AFTER I already leave the negative feedback.
Hmmmm...
So now the vendor is asking me to change the bad feedback which I am almost certain you cannot do. If i were to change the bad feedback the vendor told me she would then look into it further. Is it possible to change feedback? Why did I only get a response after leaving negative feedback? Is this how the vendor built a good rep? "Change your negative feedback to postive and I'll re-send!" But then not re-send and the pattern repeats...
I'm thinking about blacklisting this vendor but I don't want any damage done. I'm just not sure what blacklisting does. Does it simply "block" this vendor from getting in touch with me? Or does it completely fuck this vendor over in ways I don't know of?
Please advise. Thanks guys!
If they fix it you change the feedback. Once you change it to positive you lose any leverage that you maintained. It's the first lesson in Crisis Negotiation 101.
