Connect to an offshore VPS using an RDP client over Tor. To do this, run a linux distro like debian in a VM and have it get it's internet connection from a whonix gateway (so all traffic is transparently torified). Then connect to the remote desktop from your torified debian VM, and on that remote desktop run Tor and whatever else you normally would to keep your anonymous remote desktop anonymous.
This in theory would/should
Hide your IP from the VPS, so if it was ever compromised the IP wouldn't trace back to you
Disassociate the traffic of whatever online endeavors you participate in from your normal internet traffic so they can't be end-to-end correlated
Have all the benefits of using a remote desktop anyways
Am I missing anything here? Would this be good for say, a DNM vendor that needs more OPSEC than the average person?
I've messed around with all sorts of setups. I've been down the qubes+whonix+vpn road before and it just didn't seem to be good enough
