Clearnet/Craigslist Vending Revisited.

There was a post about this last week that got me thinking.

I know clearnet vendings not a good idea, but I'm the type-a kid who likes to know why *exactly. And I just don't. Knowledge is power, so I'm asking. So don't jump down my throat I ain't gonna do it.

Ok. Say vendor used a burner laptop running Tails on a usb, public wifi only. If vendor accessed Craigslist or a clearnet site through TOR, how'd they get found out?

Say the customer was given a bitcoin address (accessed through TAILS Electrum) for payment, communication through a TOR email service, maybe even pgp.

What's the difference?

What's the difference?

My question is what is the point?

I thought people do this in the m4m and t4m classifieds with meth

nobody is saying clearnet vending is a bad idea. I mean, it's much less secure, but plenty of people have and still operate clearnet drug sites, you just gotta know what you're doing.

as far as craigslist goes, they retain liability if people are selling drugs on their website, and the individual will get caught quickly.

the purpose of the dnm's is to reduce risk of getting caught with drugs dramatically. anything less and you're exponentially more likely to get caught with each step.

Interesting. Not hearing tech-related issues- I'd expected to get those. Seeing now how big a problem CL would present in other ways.

I do know of a clearnet site that uses bitcoin and escrow, and claims not to store IP's (not an issue anyway with the setup I described), has ratings, etc.

What about that?

If you had a safe way to drop the product it could work. Description of location and GPS coordinates.

But no one is going to do that, it makes you a huge profile for police, and you'd run out of drop spots pretty quick. And inevitably you're going to be seen by a person or a camera at the drop and become suspect #1.

People still source from craigslist. "Black Roofing tar" "Blue roxy boardshorts size 30m." These are deals made f2f. LE I believe aren't allowed to post these adds since that would be crossing the line of entrapment and the seller usually will background check you and make sure you are not LE. I THINK it's the law that if someone asks if you are LE or work for LE, then you must state that.

-I'm not 100% sure of the laws of entrapment so don't take what I said as hardcore facts, but they due still do f2f meetups on craigslist with success.
