[Speculation] 7g Jack Herer - Humboldt.

As I was going through the bag and toking nugs, I noticed two different flavors, distinctively. Initially, it was earthy and has coffee-like flavor (what Jack Herer is suppose to taste like) then on the next day, another nug I plucked out tastes like lemon\orange - between these two nugs, it's like day and night. Jack Herer isn't suppose to put me to sleep.

Maybe Humboldt accidentally threw Cali Orange strain with Jack Herer?

Just sayin'.

Four phenotypes exist for Jack Herer strain:

Jack Flash (herbal and spicy). Jack's Cleaner (citrus and sweet). Candy Jack (citrus and lemon). Jackie O (unknown).

Interesting..

Or it could be a different phenotype of the same strain.

Okay, glad it isn't just me who noticed the distinct taste of his Jack Herer. Got mine today and the smell/taste threw me for a loop.

Those arent phenos of jack, those are crosses you mention in your post OP. There is a lot of misinformation in this thread, but im just going to say this: it sounds like HF probably had some jack herrer and some nugs left over from other batches of strains and he just mixed it all together and called it jack herrer. Jack herrer doesnt taste earthy or have any kind of coffee notes in it -it is distinctly piney/ citrusy.
