Looking for Mepron/Atovaquone

I know this is an odd place to post this. If there's better, a nudge in the right direction would be appreciated.

In Australia. Father-in-law got a bite from a tick nearly five years ago. Classic ring-around-bite symptoms along with very shitty quality of life. Lyme disease is not generally recognised as an 'Australian' disease, so proper diagnosis was a long time coming.

Finally found a doc who knew what was going on. Got the basic antibiotics needed, but for those who know, it's a three pronged attack. Two of the meds are easy enough to come by, although pricey. But the atovaquone is almost unattainable for him. $1200 a vial for a seventy-year-old pensioner is just not possible for him. He's busting his balls scraping enough together to try and get it, but the reality is it may be more ongoing than a single treatment.

Is there a cheaper way? Clearnet points to prices being that steep the world over. He's pretty crook, and the doc seems to think the tabs don't have the bioavailability to knock things on the head - looking for the 750mg/5ml suspension. Any advice or direction would be seriously appreciated.

Have you tried finding Malarone, Alinia or Qualaquin instead? They are not as strong as Mepron but used by many with Babesiosis. Canadian pharmacies have better pricing than in the US.

How is the BA going to change from pills to solution?

ughh that sucks man, have you tried different docs, i know some of my GP's will charge almost double or the same med sometimes.

If you still can't find any in a few days message me and i can sort something out most likely. :/
