orders "processing" while BTC value is dropping

i spent about $800 w/ two diff vendors this morning (alpha bay). i sent them both messages offering to FE since the BTC is so volatile. the order status hasn't changed from "processing" and no response to my message.

i see one of the vendors has logged in (23rd) and the other has not (21st).

whats up with the vendor that has logged in -- i wish he'd cancel or mark it as shipped so i can FE?

the guy tha hasn't logged in since the 21st. (just mentioning: i actually just received an order from him yesterday i made on Satuday so didn't think much of his last login date)

so what I'm asking i guess is, i'm assuming this kind of thing has happened before. seems like there's nothing stopping the vendors from just cancelling my orders and me being shafted all that BTC devaluation, or just letting them auto-cancel

Actually this is a valid question. I havent been making orders lately but I have never seen Bitcoin drop so significantly so quick. But I have also never seen it rise so quick either. It went from $400 to close to double within a couple days or something. I wonder how the vendors are dealing with this with as little loss as possible.

just why?

It doesn't matter if you FE or not, the same amount of BTC will be paid.

a dude from Alphabay went into vacation mode a day after he promised me refund. Yeah, things get sketchy around btc dropping.

Happened with GreenLeafLabs, too. 3 days order processing while they pussyfoot around. They log on every day, ignore orders. I finally cancel. Fuck volatility and fuck dishonest vendors. Never again GLL.

If they aren't logging in it shouldn't be the buyers fault

They need to post notices about what happens when BTC value changes more than X%

bitcoin price last year was on 200$, people must be young or new in here...
