I have a PO box that is the smallest size available. I get occasional mail, mostly envelopes, and a small priority package maybe once every month or two. I had a strange thing happen the other day. When I checked my box, the only thing in it was a slip that said I have mail, too large to fit in the PO box, so I have to pick it up at the counter. I have had the small 6X9 priority boxes delivered to my PO box no problem. And I have also had the 9X12 envelopes jammed in there. But this package was smaller than that, a 6X9 readypost envelope. So why would they say it was too big to fit in the PO box when it was clearly not? Did they suspect something? Did they want to see if I would come pick it up, or if I was nervous when I did? I wasn't, it was just before closing, it was just me and the clerk, I didn't see anyone else around, but it has me a little weirded-out. Has anyone else had this happen?
Yeah it's happened to me before. I think sometimes the people that put shit into them don't want to fuckin jam those priority envelopes in there lol or they were too lazy to try. I wouldn't worry about it.
One time I checked tracking for a package to my PO box that said "out for delivery" and my PO box was empty. I had to call them and they said "oh it's here at the desk. Wait until Monday to pick it up" and I said "dude plz can you just put it in the bigger box with the key" and he said "uhhh yeah I forgot I could do that"
point is I wouldn't be paranoid about that kinda stuff. /r/dnmparanoia
