Give back to Tor. I did. Start a relay.

I have a server that has some pretty serious bandwidth that I use for other things. It has quite a bit to spare. I came across this article on deepdotweb and thought "I'm letting all this extra bandwidth go to waste!" So I decided to setup a relay. It's really easy and anyone that has some extra bandwidth sitting around can do it. With broadband connections being 100 Mbit and over these days there should be plenty to spare.

Give it a try. You won't regret it. There are cool apps like arm and websites like Atlas out there that let you monitor your traffic and see how much you're helping.

Also, for those who don't want to run a relay themselves, you can donate to some rad projects that run them or support existing nodes:

For some reason I could imagine LE seeing illegal activity on a server you own and somehow getting you in trouble for it :/

I'm running a 10k relay race for Tor sponsored by the US government
