another CD question (UK based)

Throwaway for the lulz.

I know the CD question gets asked alot. I've been lurking for a bit, but not extensively and I have not seen what I'm about to ask come up... If it has please respond aggressively and downvote me to oblivion.

Anyway. I live in a shared student house. 6 rooms. People come and go every year without fail. Mail still gets delivered to the house of ex-housemates (bank statements, letters from debt collection agencies etc).

If I order off the DNM using an ex housemates name (they still get regular mail so it shouldn't raise any eyebrows) and I hypothetically speaking I get a CD in this persons name, how would the LE proceed?

How does a warrant work with an HMO (House of multiple occupation)? Can they search only the communal areas without a warrant? Do they need a different warrant to search each persons room?

Any help will be appreciated. I will state that I am just curious about this as most questions on this topic seem to consider family homes.

Thanks

Edit: I know to use your real name. This is merely hypothetical.

Not sure on specifics unfortunately, but I do know it it's much less suspicious if you use your real name on orders. Hiding in plain site so to speak

I've thought about this but the concern was that the package ends up at the post office and you can't collect it because it's not in your name.
