Agora now has more listings than Silk Road

Silk Road was nothing if not an excellent advertisement for the Darknet. I remember when no one knew about Tor or Darknet Markets. When I was first told about them, I actually thought my friend was making shit up. This was...say, probably just about 2 or 3 years ago, I believe. Crazy how fast everything has moved.

It is not surprising. Agora has a reputation for securing the customers' interests. This attracts more customers. This, in turn, attracts more quality vendors that would like to sell to these customers. As a customer, I would avoid SR2 like the plaugue.
My fundamental belief is that centralized marketplaces are not likely to be the future of the activity that occurs in DNMs. There were viable alternatives prior to DNMs. These same viable alternatives still exist, abeit they are not as organized as most DNMs.
DNMs primarily afford new users the opportunity to have a veil of safety wrapped around the transaction that didn't exist before DNMs. Most vendors charge a premium for not requiring FE. Other than this, DNMs are fairly redundant to a more traditional escrow service that uses bitcoin.
My MLK impersonation: I have a dream where quality vendors and trusted buyers can come together for a common goal, without prejudice, and without scamming intentions. I have a dream about a place that uses verifiable cold storage to store a 100% reserve of all coins in escrow. I have a dream that this site is free from LE interference.
I know. I know - it was just a dream.

If SR opened vendor registration with a properly functioning escrow system, it would probably jump to the top again. Truly surprising actually considering it hasn't had vendor registrations open for several months now.

Is Agora open yet? I still can't register.

By the end of February, Agora was massive compared to Silk Road, because anybody with any sense left. They claim to be on schedule to pay all vendors back a week ago, but I've only had 1/3 of my stolen escrow compensated.
Silk Road 2 is full of darknet tourists who've heard of it and don't know any better - like the tourists who eat at the Hard Rock cafe in any european city, posing for a photo with a cardboard Stallone, or Ross, whilst a local with a flick knife rides past on a moped, relieving them of their money belt.
It doesn't even have an escrow. However, you're not likely to get scammed now on Silk Road 2.
It has been closed to new vendor registrations since february. The ones who were scammers have mostly scammed and left by now, leaving behind some solid vendors.
UK meth on agora has just suffered theShadowman and Cornettos, whove been replaced by a worse scammer who follows BBMC everywhere. Hes currently flooding the page with his CrystalPalace-style listings. I know for a fact that "Hank" is legit, and suspect that Budworx is too. Those aside, my vendor's eye tells me it doesn't look good. A week-old vendor has squeezed nearly everyone off page one of the listings, so I'm offering our next batch on Silk Road where the selection is very poor, but there are lots of customers.
Then, when Agora sorts out the scammers, I'll take a second set of silk road 2 customers across again.
Yes, I know I said BBMC will never go back. But its lovely and fast now, but like going back to an old office you used to work in (we were on the real Silk Road for about 6 weeks before it got busted).
As it should, SR2 is dump
