Apparently the reason it is brown is from impurities. I'm wondering if that means that 125mg would theoretically be 100mg of pure mdma. Therefore I would need to dose the brown sugar at 150mg to get 125mg pure mdma?
Should I dose brown sugar mdma any different to white mdma crystals?

Colour should not be used to determine strength imo

BrownSugar MDMA(real MDMA-i tested it) from CanadianForger was the most popular MDMA I've ever had. So, check with a Reagent first and then test via using it to get an idea about what a comparable dose of brown sugar might be compared to what you've experienced with other colors/consistencies. MDMA is a strange substance and hard to tell quality/purity just from color or consistency alone. Also depends on the vendor you got it from...

I know people say it doesn't mater and for all I know it doesn't. But IMO the best I've every had was ivory from Canada. Clean relaxing roll with little hangover.

I don't have a formal education in chemistry, so take what I say with a grain of salt, but from what I understand even small amounts of impurities can change color significantly. That doesn't mean that removing impurities isn't important, though. There's a million different potential impurities based on what synthesis route was used and how properly each step was performed. Purifying/washing MDMA properly will cut into yield, (although obviously the purer the MDMA, the smaller the loss).
Safrole is probably carcinogenic, so I always recommend purifying your MDMA. You can purify your MDMA via recrystallization with 99% isopropyl alcohol - it's very basic chemistry, so look into it. You can also further wash with anhydrous acetone (you can get anhydrous acetone by baking epsom salts for a few in an oven and then adding the result to your acetone).
Unfortunately most MDMA users are, for lack of a better word, pretty fucking ignorant. Anyone who's taken a basic highschool chemistry course could learn how to properly clean their MDMA in 30 minutes. Harm reduction is absolutely critical with MDMA.

for me, its about 30% more for sugar than ivory.
Edit: lol downvoted for my personal experience with CF

You could have MDA and not mdma.
Color isn't always a measure of quality
