Bitcoin ATM

Looking to maybe use on for my next bitcoin purchase (UK) but unsure as to what may be required. Are these machines all the same with the same requirements or do they vary? Has any one used them in the UK before? Did you have to scan IDs, enter phone numbers, etc??? My nearest is a bit out the way so can't pop round to see what I need before hand. Any help would be appreciated.

They all require ID scans - not sure about phone numbers - check the website who makes the machine or just call the shop the ATMs located and ask how it works, pretend you're new to BTC and ask what you need to bring with

Just copped from my first ATM not too long ago. The one here requires no verification for $1-50, SMS verification for $51-500, and ID verification for $501+. Inserted my money, verified via SMS, scanned my wallets QR code. The first confirmation showed within 3 minutes. ATM was over in a dark corner of an unrelated business, I didn't need to interact with anyone or even look at anyone. It was extremely easy but there was a 7% fee.

A burner phone(s) and fake ID(s) would be useful if you planned on using ATMs for larger purchases regularly.

The ones I've used never required anything. You could even print off a paper wallet and scan it once you were home to get your coins. No ID or anything. Just money. But selling im pretty sure if you sell over 2k you need to scan ID

In the end just went for bank transfer via local bit coin. .. effortless and quick too. Thanks for all the info though.
