This is the same MO as SMP:
- Sell BTC on a Friday
- Announce issues w/ marketplace due to unforseen circumstances
- Fabrication of reason why btc cannot be withdrawn
- ensure refunds are occurring by refunding tiny btc amounts to redditors
- Forums shut down
- Hacker infiltration blamed after the heat gets too much
- Blame site closure on fundamental flaw exploited in site which makes continuing business impossible
- Recommend alternative market
Dec 1st, from sheepmarketplacescam.com Sheep marketplace is now linking to new unknown marketplace TORMARKET, which will be most probably run by same people to steal more money (this is not and can not be verified).... why would they link to new marketplace, if marketplace isnot run by them ? I would be at least sceptical
EDIT:
- issues always arise on Friday. With SMP 22 Nov.
- Zulu33 (or is it EBOOK101?) accessed data and 3 days later on Friday sold elsewhere.
- No doubt data stolen turns out to be private key for wallets (ie their excuse)
- but it's 3rd parties fault bc they used data maliciously.
- Dec 10th breach occurred - WOULD NOTIFYING EVERYONE PROBABLY BE A BETTER OPTION? BMR did so on suspicion of breach.
- Rumours of identical templates for TMP/SMP (Twitter?)
Just a question. You know that vendor can put a wallet address where the funds are sent straight from escrow. They don't have to have money on their Tormarket wallet. So what are the admin gonna steal ? Same when you buy, you can send the coins straight to the escrow. So they gonna steal what's in escrow ?
