Directly threatened by KingJay hacking, Need Advice ASAP Please.

I have dealt with this vendor before and he does have my information. Feeling very uneasy right now. Acct supposedly hacked by Mr Nice Guy.

Was sent a PM this morning saying if I didn't pay 2 BTC to an address within 48 hrs, he would alert LE to my information.

On one hand, it seems unlikely that he would actually go through and call the police for all of his customers, much less explain how he got the info. On the other hand, he totally could. Yet, what guarantee do we have even if we did cough up?

Advice needed ASAP please. What do I do?

(Sorry if I sound paranoid or stupid, but the prospect of this is quite scary to me.)

Scam and he's bluffling. Eventually him releasing information to the L.E. will get his ass in trouble soon aswell. This scam has been used numerous times, don't do it.

Tell him it's a burn address and he can suck your dick.

This makes me wonder how LE would handle an actual anonymous request:

"Hello, LE? I would like to report that Mr. Smith at 123 Main Street is ordering drugs off the internet. He has been ordering heroin. No, I can't give you my name or contact information"

I can't imagine that kind of thing is very actionable. If it was, it would be too easy to harass someone with just an anonymous tip.

[1 Points] Ser__Ocelot:

Try not to worry.

Clean house (hopefully no orders currently on the way?) and then delete your Nucleus account. If you pay up, you'll only get squeezed for more.

If he is actually moronic enough to go to the cops, just be all, 'Ooh, you know I was actually going to come up here and talk to you guys cause I got this anonymous threatening letter a while back proffer letter with cut out letters from a newspaper, Classic blackmail stylee - any chance you could trace the phone number?'

[1 Points] R4ID:

you didnt message the vendor using PGP or what? also heres what you do.

keep a clean house for the next 2-4 weeks and ignore the extortion bullshit. cops ever show up, remember. you dont know anything, uve never heard of anything, and essentially ur a dumb useless vegetable...(dont answer anything and tell them to go away essentially) unless you were buying lbs of green or QPs of powder.. ur not a big fish for police.

[1 Points] None:

How do you know it was hacked by Mr Nice Guy?

[1 Points] None:

DO NOT PAY. Paying wouldn't remove the threat anyway. And it's pointless to threaten someone and then give them 48 hours to prepare for the result?!

This extortion is laughably amateur hour!

Edit; also you should always be in the mental position of the address given was only a 'drop' and not your real address. This removes any possibility for leverage.
