We're pleased to announce the projects for this year's Tor Summer of Privacy! Of our twenty-two applicants sadly we only had funding for four, so without further ado here they are!

Israel Leiva - Enhance GetTor
Mentor: Sukhbir / Nima

Cristobal Leiva - Relay Web Dashboard
Mentor: Damian / Arturo

Jesse Victors - The Onion Name System

Never heard of this project before. What is the aim of it?

Load balancing, exciting! I always wondered how someone might go about that. I've looked at some of the past proposals, but they all seemed like a bit of a "hack" and had their downfalls.

This is great and all, but that adds a few large attack surfaces. I'm excited and scared at the same time. It's a wonderful feeling.

alright you uber geeks. party at my place. good hookers and uncut blow will be provided.

[1 Points] None:

This is all fine and dandy but I'd rather see some of the bigger problems, particularly the ones that lead to hidden services being identified, solved first.

However those are much bigger issues that whose problems lie in the fundamentals of how hidden service services operate. For example, the issues with guard nodes

[1 Points] RoscoeMG:

The DNS thing sounds cool, actual website addresses instead of random garbage.
