usps customs form best practices

heya folks looking for advice on the best way to go about submitting the usps customs declaration for outbound international packs.

submit it online and get the ability to drop the pack in a mailbox or over the counter in person

both have there merits and shortcoming so i am looking for experienced advice please

As you've noted, both have risks. Fairly equal risks. When that's the case consider what normal, run-of-the-mill people do and go with that. Most people will show-up at a PO and fill out the slip. I'd recommend "hiding in plain sight." Now, other things may be in play here, but without knowing more...

Neither is ideal, with one you tie your face and identity to the drop off, with the other you tie your financial history to it.

The biggest thing is: act like you belong. If you go in, don't behave all sketchy and jittery.

Maybe wear a hat and do it in person, try to keep your face mostly obscured? Won't do much I suppose if they really come for you, but might be better than having your information submitted online
