What's the deal with Australian supplier prices?

I get that prices vary around the world for a variety of reasons but, if you think about it, the deep web is essentially like a free trade agreement for drugs since independent regional markets merge into a bigger unified market, giving buyers and suppliers access to each other's markets. Normally, the result of these agreements is that prices become similar in all participating regions... yet Australian prices are still insane.

I can see this making sense without the deep web since per-unit-price is going to be higher as large shipments via boat/train/truck would be difficult or outright impossible, and also because people pay what they have to pay, but why would an Australian pay $300G+ for a local supplier when the option to pay $90G-$120g is available to them?

I can't see the time difference in shipping being worth that 300%+ premium and with that kind of markup, you'd need 2 out of every 3 packages being seized before local purchasing becomes a financially superior option.

Is there some other reason that this happens? Exceptionally good postal inspection, like drug sniffer dogs checking every package so that they actually do seize 2 out of every 3 packages? Can someone explain to me why someone from AUS would deal with a local supplier and pay so much more instead of having it shipped in from elsewhere?

Have any of you aussies purchased from overseas? What was your experience like?

Australian customs are brutal. Australia is an island that has had problems with species that have been imported. They check shit coming in way more than the US.

The people's believe the mass hysteria that surrounds these beyond human customs officers and are too chicken shit to find out for themselves. 25+ orders in 18months ranging from 3grams of dmt thru to multiple ounces of various powders, crystals, pills and papers. UK, Canada, USA, German and Dutch vendors included and all for one missing package all sent to the same drop, of which no love letter has ever been received and I assure you the stealth used by a couple of vendors has left me wondering if they've split the order and the stealth is packed and sent separately.

Australia is hard to get in to... Supply and demand at work.

Go to youtube and search Border Security and you can watch a show about Australian border procedures, etc. Its quite tough to get things through.

This.

I agree that the prices are insane in Aus. For example I've bought MDMA from a local supplier in person, (600 for 50) and then ive seen the exact same press online for 1000+ for 50.

People in Australia are used to paying a lot for everything. Food, Clothes, Booze, Technology and of course Drugs. We are on the big rip off Island. Wages here kind of make up for it a little bit I guess. Our Customs are tough but MDMA and Meth for example can be made in the country and we still pay a premium for locally made and imported. Lots of people are ordering online these days. In a national survey it said up to 25% of Aus drug users reported having ordered from the DNM's. Wether it be for value for money or to get things they can't normally get from friends or acquaintances.

[1 Points] drugpigthrowaway:

you're all missing the critical point- people sell online at these prices because they can. If you had purchased online and taken the risk of importing why would you sell for a price less than the max you could ask?

On the other hand Australian customs aren't that good. Most people ordering drugs will get most of their packs most of the time. Don't be greedy and order too much kids...
