Suggestion for New DNM 'Review Thread "Templates" ' and a Way to Get Rid of Terrible Reviews

I just came across a review for "Ciphercrack" in which people were complaining about others coming in and posting crap reviews (sometimes when they were asked/incented (is that a word?) to by the vendor. I've seen this complained about a lot and also I see many reviews which miss key components of a review. I have been pondering a new idea used for posting product reviews here...

I am an H user (don't judge me! ;) ) and I often post reviews of my purchases, H and otherwise. (usually H - forgive me! ).

Anyway, when I post these reviews I follow a basic format of:

Shipping (speed) - 5/5 Stealth - 4/5 Comms - 5/5 Size/Weight - 5/5 Etc...

Now, when I post the H reviews I usually include things like " rush - 5/5 or legs - 5/5, etc. " ; obviously this wouldn't apply to other drugs or products necessarily. However a basic template would do justice. I usually follow the "rating system" with a little summary of my experience with the vendor. I believe these kind of reviews are both straight and to the point and easy to read through while getting the job done and covering all bases.

Basically what I'm getting to with my suggestion is this:

Since I assume it's not possible to change reddits "code" (or whatever the technical lingo is for adding a feature onto reddit) to add some kind of "form", maybe we could require that the review threads be set up in this format and provide the template in a side bar/side bar link? And then it can be optional if the user want to add the "summary" part after the ratings. That way we get a concise summary of all that should be in a review at the very least. Thought? Ideas? Criticism?

Just figured i'd throw this out there.

This way, if we get a shi**y reviews like " oh yeah this guy was good, thanks bye", it can be dealt with by the DNM mods, or at least asked to changed to that format.

If not mandatory, maybe suggested?

Lastly I must apologize for the long post. I usually keep things short. My favorite H vendor decided to send me a sample of some 'tina. Never had it. I'm in love now.

Cheers all :)

I understand the thought process behind your suggestion, but when it comes down to it, upvotes and downvotes exist for a reason and we need to let them do their job. This isn't kindergarten, and we shouldn't need to micromanage buyer reviews to fit a standard format.

Downvote bad reviews, upvote good ones. Why try to fix something that's not broken? No offense to you, OP, or anyone else.

Some sites allow for very little room for reviews, or cut off if it goes longer than a certain length unless you look at the review on one page vs another. Saying 'Shipping (speed) - 5/5 Stealth - 4/5 Comms - 5/5 Size/Weight - 5/5' and then getting to the message, imo, is a waste.

And honestly, all the stealth I've seen hasn't really been particularly special. Maybe haphazardly thrown into some pamphlet, or a mylar bag and some creative return addresses (ie 'nutrition central'). I'd really only write if the stealth was poor (and honestly, is stealth even necessary for blotter?). Shipping isn't really the fault of the vendor, but USPS tends to be 1-3 days so even if the vendor sent a day later, it's still there in 2 days often times (they've really improved in the last 3 years).

I think feedback should be reserved for discussing the accuracy of the description, ie is it the fire that's advertised (or if the vendor says it's lower quality, then say it matched the description too). I'd only mention comm if the vendor either outright ignored you or your requests, or if the vendor clearly communicated back and forth with you or gave you status updates (ie 'shipped out today, sorry i didnt ship yesterday).

I mean it's hard for people to really give an accurate review, fact of the matter is the vast majority of people get total shit from the street and have very little frame of reference to review product - even if you bought from DNMs a lot, that still means you've likely only tried 1, 2, maybe 3 different vendors for a similar product.

A good review would be something like "Better than street stuff I've had, Worse than Vendor A, Comm/Ship/Stealth A+". Saying 'oh this shit is fire' or 'best stealth ever!' isn't really helpful, but saying 'this shit is fire compared to Vendor A' or "stealth better than most other vendors' is.

We've tossed this idea around within the mod team, but we weren't sure how restrictive we wanted to make it. We definitely want those categories, and some subjective criticisms and reviews of the product.

I think this was already suggested, but wasn't put into the informative posts

Thanks for the input guys and sorry if this was brought up already

. Like I said maybe not mandatory so people don't think ya'll are running a Tyranny here, but maybe suggested on the sidebar? It's always nice to get a good thorough review.

I appreciate the quick feedback on it though, you guys rule. Always on top of your stuff.

im all for some sort of basic template for reviews... it would just really clean them up.. some people are great at leaving reviews, others are just horrible...

Honestly, I'd really like something like this. And not as necessarily a "forced" thing, but a recommended template. It makes it easy when you want to write a review but you might be a little too tired(stoned) to figure out the layout.
