DNMs and Monero/CryptoNote... what's the state of affairs?

Hello,

Is there any DNM already experimenting with accepting Monero or other CryptoNote coin, in parallel to Bitcoin?

These coins are already much harder to trace than Bitcoin, and will become even harder once a few improvements are made. (For those into the technical terms, Monero at least uses ring signatures for mixing the inputs, stealth addresses as default for the outputs, and they plan to implement merge avoidance soon, what shouldn't be so hard to do since every address is a deterministic seed).

IMHO they make perfect sense for DNMs.

Yeah I'd love to see a market launch with Monero.

Think it lacks multisig though, right?

Monero is great, its anonymity is instant and they got real academic cryptographers that have vetted the implementation. I tried darkcoin it wanted me to mix my coins for days to become anonymous and it wasnt even that much.

Now my beef with monero is that there arent any local wallets with a gui yet, you got to use the official webwallet but you have the private key so its not like it can be stolen or anything but it is entirely dependent on this one site functioning. The other problem is that there is only one exchange everyone is trading on, poloniex (USA) and a user just recently got threatened by them to doxx themself after doing crypto only trades which is bullshit. There are other exchanges that arent run by usa police but people would have to use them.
