Hey guys just wanted to provide an update to my original post where I described the controlled delivery that happened earlier this week. Now that my lawyer assures me that all charges should be dropped any day now I feel safe to answer some of the questions that you guys asked in the original thread.
What were the charges?
- I was charged with trafficking a schedule 1 substance, and possession with intent to sell. They were clearly expecting to find more in my house than what they found and were planning to base their case around that. Intent to sell was added to my charges because I had a food scale in my kitchen . . . literally.
Why did you clean house?
- I didn't have any drugs in my house since I was waiting on them to arrive. My laptop that I used for the purchases was actually at my GF's apartment, so I got lucky on that count.
Was the vendor Colorado?
- So I originally wasn't going to say who it was but it appears people figured it out pretty quickly. Yes it was from the state of Colorado AND from the vendor named Colorado. Apparently, it got stuck in a post office sorting machine that created a tear in the packaging when they attempted to remove it, which actually made some of the contents spill. This is what my lawyer tells me is what happened, but I'm really not sure if I believe it, because the "tear" wasn't really that big. But I guess I'll never know for sure.
What the hell are your 'linens'?
- 1 handmade quilt, and 2 handmade grateful dead tapestries that were made by my grandmother. You can say BS all you want on this, but she dated Bob Weir when the Dead were just starting out. She ended up dumping him because he was spending so much time with the band and not enough with her. She regretted it ever since. She made the tapestries for me and my brother, who ended up giving his to me since I'm a huge Deadhead. She passed away a couple years ago, so these meant a lot to me. They were draped over 2 sofas that I never really sat on and were more for decoration. The cops ended up tearing one pretty bad when they were rifling through the sofa, while the quilt and the other tapestry were thrown to the ground, where they were trampled on by the dogs and officers.
Overall this was a pretty terrifying experience, and I don't see myself using the DNM's any time soon if ever again. If anyone has any further questions I'll be happy to answer them if I can, still trying to get over the shock of it all.
