[GeneralQuestions] Is there any list of controlled deliveries and how they were done?

Anyway we can increase auspice by learning from each others mistakes. For example how do they catch PO Box users? Has anyone been to court after accepting or rejecting a controlled delivery and beat the case? Whats the percentage of CDs that are personal use? Do big cities throw away personal use cases, and smaller towns keep them maybe? Do they ever let us keep packages and charge us later? Let's all work to never get arrested!

That list complied by u/gwern has all known or semi-documented arrests related to DNM activty. Only a small few have escaped a controlled deliveries. I do believe the ones that did escape conviction did sign for their package and feined knowledge of its contents while having a clean house.

I don't think there is any particular list. However the knowledge on preventing them and what precautions to take when receiving packages is basically all based on the collective knowledge we have gained over time from individual stories that have been shared.

Not sure how PO box users could be caught. If they have contact info for the owner of the PO Box they might call and say a package has been delivered with the intended destination of your PO Box but requires a signature. Most people are gonna grab their package the day it arrives from their PO Box, so it wouldn't be ridiculous for LE to post up and wait for a day for one to show up and grab it.

The second question regarding beating a case is too broad. There is no sure fire way to beat your case if you're the victim of a CD. Anyone that has "beaten" such a case likely did so on specific circumstances that were unique to their circumstances. For example, a procedural slip up by law enforcement that rendered some of their evidence/case inadmissible. The best you can do is take the commonly repeated advice regarding potential (keep eyes open for unusual activity around place of delivery, dont sign for packages, etc)

Any estimate on percentages is going to basically be someone pulling it out of their ass if they try to give any semblance of a actual percentage. The closest anyone could probably say is that its more common for amounts that are not intended for personal use, which is the obvious answer. However CDs have definitely happened for personal amounts. You also hear about these more often on mediums like reddit because that is what most people purchase (personals), so there is some inherent bias IMO in reports of CDs on reddit.

There are so many factors involved in what may get a case dropped. Keep in mind the courts have nothing to do with "small town" or "big city" at the very least it would be countys, which is still unlikely. I would not bet on this. If they are running a CD on you they're going to have enough evidence to charge you and they're not gonna be doing shit that will be a waste of time of them (like just having it get dropped).

Most of what I've heard happens immediately after delivery. However way back before darknetmarkets existed and online drug buying/selling took place in very small private communities, advice was often given regarding CDs that implied they could happen a while after the package was received (though I believe we are still talking same day). That is all the advice I can give on that matter because I can't recall any specific CDs that I've read about that happened later on after delivery but I can remember advice given years and years ago that implied it was a possibility/has happened.

I hope this helps. Just some of the knowledge I've acquired after having been in and out of the online drug scene for nearly 12 years now.

Not as far as I know of, you'd have to manually search through tons of threads/posts on here and on other forums to get a good idea of CDs.

The key in most CDs is to never take possession of the package. If you think it's a DNM pack and you're in a CD, ask for the return address. If you don't recognize it, tell them "Return to sender please" then go back inside, lock the door, and stay inside no matter who comes to the door. If they could legally be inside your house, they would be.
