How wary should I be of new vendors?

Is it hypothetically possible that LE would set up a vendor account, then try to bust whoever purchased from them? Maybe I'm being massively paranoid but it doesn't seem like something that's out of the question.

OH, paranoia is an unhealthy mental state that is often accompanied by poor decision making. You should always take the proper precautions, don't automatically assume people who are they say they are, etc. Of course its hypothetically possible LE could pose as a vendor. When you got up this morning to go wherever it is that you go, it was hypothetically possible for you to be involved in a major auto accident, get hit by car, win the lotto, or any number of things. We have to operate on the probabilities of events, not the realm of what's possible. Doing illegal things means there is a possibility you could be arrested. No way around that.

I've used new vendors before and its been okay. I think it also depends on what you are buying and how much. LE doesn't have unlimited budgets and when they bust small buyers, its often b/c its low hanging fruit. While possibly, I would doubt that LE would go through the trouble to nab small time buyers by setting up a fake vendor account. Often, local police will do various stings, like prostitution stings, but since by the very nature of the DNMs being national, if not worldwide, I don't think local LE agencies are compelled to run these stings. They have no clue where hte orders will go ahead of time. That leaves more federal. I do think LE might run a sting at some point simply to scare people - making examples of some small time buyers.

So instead, why not just use well tested vendors?? Some people have the risk tolerance to try out new vendors, others don't. If you are worried, just use a well reviewed vendor and for new vendors you have your eyes on, wait until reviews come in.

Hypothetically? I guess.

Realistically? Waste of time.

If LE wanted to bust buyers they'd just cruise MLK Boulevard and grab all they want.

Too much work involved with a DNM vendor account. Would have to shill constantly to hide the fact most of their orders weren't being filled and the few that were came with a CD.

You are being too paranoid n

does it not usually work the other way round...? le pretent to be the buyers not sellers..

It's more effective for LE to stop drugs being sold, than to stop them being bought.
