At a likely chainsplit when newly minted coins hit a DNM (or coming from a DNM) the coins will disappear after one of the chains dies and they were mined on that chain.
I am curious, if there are any discussions on it?
Are DNMs preparing for a possible UASF chaos?

SW will allow more privacy and anonymity features, cheap and fast transactions (who can be totally anonymous too) and things like Confidential Transactions and Join Market thus relaying less on trusted coin mixing service...
Also it will help keep Bitcoin decentralized which make Bitcoin censorship resistant and safe for DNMs transactions in the first place !

There will not be a chain split.
BIP148 will be implemented with majority support in August. Segwit will be activated along with all it's benefits (LN etc) and bitcoin will gain some much needed breathing space.
That's what the market thinks will happen... Which is why BTC is going to the moon at the moment.
A chain split would only occur if BIP148 was implemented without majority support which I don't think is going to happen.
