Why is Agora Popular? It lacks sorting, filtering, a good review system, password recovery and is run on a microsoft products.

Is it really just the profit sharing invite system that attracts everyone? Without multi-sig escrow they could walk away with the money like SR2 did. Why not use TMP?

Everyone says it has good design but it doesn't really have a functionally good design, but it just doesn't look terrible.

Because agora is easy to use and backed by bitcoinfog and doesnt use an army of multisig shills to spam reddit for them

Agora origins from a small group of some of the same people that run BitcoinFog. Taking a look at bitcoinfog, even today, you will find a link and an endorsement.

Also remember that the site is in Beta. There are many features they are aiming to add, including the ones you listed. They don't have it all worked out yet, but they promise a good future.

A large amount of vendors sell there, and the people follow, even though it lacks a lot...

They have stock count, sorting works, easy interface, and it was a hell of a lot quicker than SR2.0. Also there are vendors from previous markets that are trusted there already. What's not to like? Design? It's simple, and easy to navigate. Nobody cares what it looks like as long as it's functional and easy to use.

Because its easy to use and the most popular. Unfortunately there aren't enough vendors to use TMP properly.

I do kind of like the referral system. People are so annoyed with it that I don't post referral links or anything, but still, I get enough BTC from early referrals that it enables me to try samples on a really regular basis without having to spend any "real money", which in turn enables me to find new vendors that I really like.

It isn't perfect, but it has what I need. It will probably not survive IMO for more than about another 6-8 months though. I have no real issues isolating what I'm after, though I do wish they had better sorting options.

Had a bad experience with Pandora right out of the gate, so I haven't used them since. Haven't used any others besides SR2 (obviously won't use them anymore) and Agora.

Might give BlueSky a shot though.

Dumb question but figured I would ask it here. Are the agora referral links that keep getting spammed legit? or are they usually for phishing sites?

I've never used or even visited Agora
