Possible TradeRoute glitch

I am not a cyber security expert etc, just a simple market user who occasionally purchases very small amounts for personal use. This is NOT about any potential security issues with the site, that stuff is way above my head! I just want to report something to the TradeRoute admin people.

I am not going to fully explain what I did on the open forum as others may try it and I have no idea who exactly is losing out of their bitcoins, I just know that SOMEONE must have lost out. Whoever did, I apologize as in testing this your loss has been my gain.

Simple summary, I purchased goods from a vendor, received them - all fine. Several days later I went back onto the site, and my bitcoin was still in my account, despite me finalizing and leaving feedback. At first I thought maybe it was just waiting for confirmations etc (I don't understand how all that stuff works in the background) so I just assumed that my account balance would fix itself over the next few days. I checked again several days later and still the money was in my account. To make sure of this I tried to make another order with the coins and much to my surprize it allowed me to do so - I also received the goods yesterday so someone has definitely lost out here.

If a traderoute admin would like to know what I did, please PM me and I will let you know. It's not like I did anything dodgy, I genuinely did what I thought I was supposed to do to pay for my first order with the site.

Why don't you contact them? Admins don't chronically check reddit and they shouldnt

Perhaps the vendor accidentally refunded your purchase? I've screwed-up like that myself in the past (I'm prone to 'mouse trigger-finger').

Thanks for the replies. Just to make it clear, this is not someone else's alt account, I have never needed to post before so it's the first time I've created one.

I will create another account on the market and then submit a ticket with the details - I didn't realise that was how it worked as I've never had any problems with any of the markets before and had to make one.

Again I want to reiterate - this is nothing to do with t0mcheck, I noticed he had a post about doing something with a cancellation url or something like that but this is not the same thing. It is something extremely simple and like PrinterPam said, it could be as simple as the vendor refunding me by mistake (although I would thought they would have messaged me if they had and asked for the coin back). The order still shows as finalized on my account and nothing suggests I've been refunded.

Anyway, thanks for the replies.
