I'm Australian and ordered something international. I use escrow (like with all international vendors) because there is a relatively high risk. After 2 weeks, I dispute the order to keep funds in escrow, as I was told is how you do it on Alphabay.
The mod says "money goes to other side" after 5 days if there's no answer, which I honestly had no idea what this was referring to. I say I'm keeping funds in escrow as the package has not arrived, the vendor doesn't reply during the 5 days, although he was online at times.
Fast forward to this morning, I get a notification that this order was cancelled by the vendor. I've been refunded.
Now, what the hell happened? Did the moderator refund me which notifies me as "this order has been cancelled by the vendor"? Or did the vendor do it himself? I have no idea.
It's either I screwed the vendor over by getting a refund while he still shipped something. The vendor may have fully refunded me because the package didn't arrive, but I figure they'd notify me if this was the case. Any input?
I got the same message. I took the response as he gives each side, customer and vendor, 5 days to respond to him. If nothing, other side gets the funds. Sounds like the vendor just refunded you to avoid the hassle of the dispute.
