DHL's bitcoin exchange rate is wrong.

Went to transfer the amount of bitcoin I needed for an order based on the current exchange rate and found that I was short, even though I included a couple extra bucks.

I did the conversion between the amount of USD and BTC it says I need and the price of bitcoin they're using is ~$1185 when it should be ~$1210. It hasn't been near $1185 since yesterday morning.

It isn't just late because I refreshed and it updated while I was typing this but only went up to $1187.

Did you open a ticket with them? Or maybe include /u/DHL-1 here for visibility?

Our prices are not "wrong". It all depends on what others are looking at. We have explained multiple times we are using an 8 hour average updated every 30 minutes. I have controlled the price update jobs and they ran as expected.

Fiat price data is pulled from multiple forex providers and is updated every 30minutes as well and no average used.

This happens to every single time I log onto Alphabay. Every crook needs his cut

Issue has been fixed. We are using realtime pricing updating every 30minutes. I hope I cleared that up now ;-)

it doesn't really matter. the price of bitcoin is whatever the buyer/seller want it to be. If you don't like the price then go somewhere else. There is no 'official' price for bitcoin
