Seasoned expert (me) has noticed some irregularities on the Dream market...

...need others with strong DNM experience to help validate or debunk my suspicions. (pinging a mod, /u/Theeconomist1 )

I wasn't paying attention when this latest LE crackdown happened, and so I'm only now checking out Dream for the first time. Being a new market and all, I decided to do some sanity checks against vendors on that market who I knew from other markets. Here's what I'm seeing.

Obviously, this makes verifying that you are in contact with the same vendor nearly impossible unless they still have control of their original private key, which still isn't fool proof (but hey). So the concern is that they've been compromized in some way. The larger concern is that the entire market has been compromized.

If there are community members who have kept basic records of vendor's contact into (PGP, email, etc), can they do a quick look over that info and those same vendor's profiles on Dream to look for any concerning inconsistencies, please? If Dream is compromised, better to know sooner rather than later.

Thanks, y'all.

I'm only concerned when there are irregularities in my girl's menstrual cycle.

Some vendors have not only had their PGP's manipulated, but onion emails compromised. Someone with good social engineering and skills is selectively hijacking vendor accounts, emails, and scamming. For some reason, no one will talk about it. Nobody likes to admit being scammed, and the nature of this community is to not share what you know, but in a sense it does a disservice to all of us as this behavior is proliferated over and over.

Something is going on with Dream Market right now, and I dont like the feeling of it.

[2 Points] _PrinterPam_:

Dream is not compromised to anyone's knowledge (although they're pulling shady stuff with some people, vendors included). What you're seeing is lazy vendor shenanigans. The accounts you're referring to were compromised (their u/n & passwords) with Hansa and/or AB. They re-used the passwords and didn't have 2FA enabled on at least Dream. So presumably LE (or 'someone') got in, swapped keys, and probably then enabled 2FA...effectively locking out those vendors.

My personal advice would be to steer clear of any of the compromised vendors. Even if they've re-established themselves, recovered the accounts, whatever...they're running a shoddy operation in terms of their security practices and I wouldn't trust them with my personal info. But take what I say with a grain of salt. I'm just another asshole on the Internet.

I'm not accusing anyone or any market of anything. I'm simply asking community members to help me do some validation. So there can be some degree of confidence in the market.

just checked my PGP key and the PGP keys of some other vendors I know of on Dream.

all of them are the same.

Op what you're saying is true. Most of the idiots in this thread are shills that know what's going on but fill up the thread with garbage to derail it.

NOBODY USE DREAM.

Being a new market and all

Looks like you haven't paid attention since Silk Road... Dream launched when BMR was still running

So you made this thread because a vendor changed his PGP key?
