Why do most DNMs separate vendor accounts and buyer accounts? On most DNMs, if an account has bought a single item, it can't be a vendor. Is there some security reason why DNMs don't allow 1 account to both buy and sell?

Why do most DNMs separate vendor accounts and buyer accounts?

It's so a vendors real life info can't be known because of his buyer account. Buyers generally use their real info on orders.

Just think: I start out as a small buyer, i buy off all the big vendors. I slowly get bigger, more IRL customers, I become a bulk buyer. Eventually I become a vendor under the same account. Now I am seen as competition. The big vendors I bought off may have kept my personal info (name, address)...see where this is going? Now your enemies can rat you out to LE, send a sloppy package of drugs to your place to burn your address, or worse, eliminate you altogether.

To buy drugs, you have to send a vendor your name and address. That means the seller knows who BigTimeHeroinDealer is and where he lives. And this is a major OpSec breach for reasons which should be clear upon a moment's reflection.
