Electrum stopped working

So I open Electrum today, and my wallet and none of my addresses load. The terminal says:

Bus::open: Can not get ibus-daemon's address. IBusInputContext::createInputContext: no connection to ibus-daemon

Also, when I open Tails up, it's saying that it can't update for some reason. I have a internet connection that is working fine, I'm on it right now. What is going on? Electrum and Tails were working fine yesturday. Anyone know how to fix this? Rebooting didn't work, changed the proxy, changed the server, everything. I've got no clue.

I have my wallet.dat saved, so I haven't lost any bitcoin.

those error messages sound like a configuration problem in your computer, not a problem with the software itself. IBus is a UI framework in Linux and other UNIX operating systems... my guess is you somehow managed to screw up the configuration of Tails, and ibus-daemon is no longer starting on boot, or it somehow changed address?

If you're not a command-line kungfu master, the quickest route is to Backup important stuff, format and reinstall the OS, then reinstall Electrum and reload your wallet.dat

Do you just use Electrum on Tails? I always start Electrum fresh every time I use it by putting in my seed and password and it works fine every time. Hope you get it working, especially if you have coins in there!

You have to do a manual upgrade (reinstall the TAILS to the same device, while keeping the persistent volume), using a second USB or DVD. Download the new version, write it, boot it, use TAILS installer to write the new to the persistent disk.
