It's been 24 hours and my BTC to AB wallet is still unconfirmed in electrum?

I sent .3 btc to my AB wallet and it's still unconfirmed. Is this normal as of late? Last time I sent BTC was a few weeks ago and it only took a few hours.

Take a look here: https://blockchain.info/unconfirmed-transactions

60,000+ unconfirmed transactions. That's very high. As long as that stays in the 5-digit range then transactions sent without high fees are unlikely to get confirmed. Electrum seems to default to 50 satos per byte transaction fee. That's fine under normal circumstances, but insufficient when the blockchain is backed up.

Keep watching the unconfirmed transactions number. Once it gets back into the 4-digit range your transaction should confirm.

The blockchain is severely backlogged atm, set a higher fee than usual and itll be quicker.

The following links might be helpful.

On the last link you need to scroll down a tiny bit and look under "Which fee should I use?".

Current recommended fee is about 22 cents for a transaction of 226 bytes.
