Complaints about Markets and Vendors

I wanted to have a discussion about the complaints about markets and vendors on the sub.

Lately I've noticed more and more complaints ending with things like 'All I want is my reship, if he gives me that I'll delete this post and leave a good review' or 'All I want is my BTC, if I get that I'll remove this'. I don't think this is right, because what you say happened will still have happened whether you get what you want or not. It's almost like you're being bought off to remove the complaint.

I think maybe we should leave the complaint as it is but add an edit explaining that you got it resolved. Then people can see that there was an issue but the market or vendor resolved it...if a vendor or market is good at sorting problems out, then everyone will see how or what they did.

I don't think the amount of threads like this, saying if I get such and such I'll take this down is good. It becomes almost like a ransom note, you need to stand by what you say, even if it's resolved in the end.

I'm curious to know what everyone else thinks?

The reviews on marketplaces has been broken for a very long time. Customers afraid of being a target to the vendor, which leads to dishonest reviews and invincibility for a lot of vendors.

It is what it is, reviews give buyers leverage, vendors have leverage in the form of coercion but ultimately doing that always comes back to bite them in the ass. Theres nothing wrong with a vendor remedying a complaint, should the buyer still ding the vendor for inconviencing them? Perhaps but then maybe 5-star to them is getting their pack and not getting arrested or scammed. Given the climate thats really what 5-star is, anything else is left as a positive comment.
