Need Help with Tails and reFind

So I am trying to install Tails on my macbook pro. I understand its not the preferred system but its all I got. Before I get into it Im not sure if this is the right sub so if it is not just let me know. Also if I am making no sense the link below shows you what I am trying to do. On my mac I can not get tails to boot from a flash drive it just sits on the apple image as it tries to boot. If anyone has any other ideas as to why this is let me know but I am trying to install the reFind to see if that will work. Now on the reFind i can not install this due to SIP. Now I am trying to install reFind from recovery mode but I get stuck on step 7 under "using recovery mode" in the link trying to find what directory to change to in the terminal. How do I find this?

Link to what I am trying to follow http://www.rodsbooks.com/refind/sip.html

Try to get refind to work, that is the only way I could get my mbp to boot from flash drive. It depends on what mbp you have, mine is older and cant boot from flash drive without refind. Check out this link for disabling SIP. http://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/208478/how-do-i-disable-system-integrity-protection-sip-aka-rootless-on-os-x-10-11

You can't access files in recovery mode from terminal(to my knowledge) so you'll have to put reFind on a flash drive.

Here's what you should do:
  1. Make sure the reFind folder is on a flash drive that is formatted as OS X Extended

  2. Boot up in recovery mode

  3. Start terminal from utilities tab

  4. cd /

  5. cd Volumes

  6. ls to list all options in Volumes - You should see your flash drive here

  7. cd yourdrivename/refind-bin-0.10.1

  8. ls to check for refind-install

  9. ./refind-install
