USPS Package Intercept

Has anyone done this or do it frequently? I have a package coming and its expected delivery is day is not a great day for my drop so I am wondering if it would be safe to use the USPS package intercept function to have it held at the post office for me? Does this cause added suspicion from USPS? Would it be safer to just have all the mail held in general for 3-4 days like someone was going out of town for an extended weekend?

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

have them hold ALL mail. Asking them to hold a specific package by supplying the tracking # means that you know the package is coming, eliminating your plausible deniability.

Is it international mail or domestic?

I could be wrong but to my knowledge they would need a search warrant to check domestic mail. ( doesn't matter if they felt something funny) International mail is a different story. I have never had any problems with domestic. I did have problems with international twice.

Heh I was just reading about this service yesterday. I think its ok as far as having it held at the PO, but if you were to say intercept it to change it to priority or express that would be a lil more sketch.

There is just one problem. You need to enter the tracking number on usps.com in order to see if your package is eligible for interception. Kind of an opsec no nopers.

Depends how good your post office is imo, some are super helpful and want to help you. My local post office has half a star reviews, packages sit there for days before going out and the line is always out the door. I was in your situation and tried to hold the package for pickup and just got bitched out by the employee about how it doesn't work like that

Don't do it. (I know this is after the fact, but in case anyone else has the same question.)
I tried to have a package sent to my local post office-- I wrote the correct address on my request... but I get a text saying "notice left- insecure area, schedule redelivery via usps.com". OK then, so I have to PAY another FIVE DOLLARS to send the package to the very same post office I specified in the first place?
