Ross Ulbricht was set up.

I bet those two-three agents completely set him up. Do you guys think they really found him from a post he left traceable back to him? Altoid? I doubt it...

They had control of ChronicPain and all these other Alias', the whole things sketchy. His mom only gets questions about the trial and the case but id love to hear her opinion on the work of those agents. She's said she's been contacted by other admins of the silkroad (some probably run current markets). She said the admins had said there was a definite change in the marketplace. When the Agents got involved, HA's and a lot of other heavy drug entities were on the site. The admins said to her that when speaking with DPR (after things got fishy when those agents were around, and the 350k was stole ) DPR did not know the code name that would authenticate him. The fact they had a code name leaves me to believe he already new LE had infiltrated the site. I'd love to hear what she really think happened. The whole finding him in a library open on the page thing is so fucking strange to me.. also the fact DPR logged in weeks after Ross was arrested is clear evidence that something's counterfeit as fuck. Some of the vendors were cops for fuck sakes. Shits wild... what's your guys' opinions on this ?

He really did start something that can never be reversed.

This comes up time and again. Saying use search is overdone sometimes. I love to see the new opinions on this at various stages of dnm history. I personally think that he made major stupid mistakes. My opinion. But open to new angles after finding about the dumb ass opportunistic agents.

Yes you are right. Watch the movie Deep Web.

[1 Points] iWasRunningTORin2004:

Yes of course. Ross was a leader, a rebel, and a voice that people listened to. He ruled the DNMs. He mocked LE. he preached libertarianism. The State had it out for him. Make no mistake, DPR was listed directly under Assange on their list of internet adversaries. The official story was concocted to cover-up the crimes and violations of law and of the Constitution by the US federal government.

As the NSA scoops up phone records and other forms of electronic evidence while investigating national security and terrorism leads, they turn over "tips" to a division of the Drug Enforcement Agency ("DEA") known as the Special Operations Division ("SOD"). FISA surveillance was originally supposed to be used only in certain specific, authorized national security investigations, but information sharing rules implemented after 9/11 allows the NSA to hand over information to traditional domestic law-enforcement agencies, without any connection to terrorism or national security investigations.

The government calls the practice "parallel construction," but deciphering their double speak, the practice should really be known as "intelligence laundering."

The reason they can get away with all this? The PATRIOT ACT.

When millions upon millions of dollars are involved. Somebody along the way is bound to become corrupt. It's that simple.
