Beware proxied bitcoin addresses

The otherwise information-free /r/deepweb/ hosted an AMA from a scammer the other day, he was explaining how he's running a scam at scale to proxy popular sites and replace Bitcoin addresses with his own. Additionally he constantly updates Hidden Wiki links to his own to drive traffic.

I think the people potentially most affected by this would be the small scale tumblers because of how they lack much 3rd party verification.

I've been thinking of building a verified .onions site for a while (on the clearnet, with .onion support) to strengthen the onions trust model in the same way DeepDotWeb has done for the main markets. Would people be interested in this?
