I don't want to be annoying by making them decrypt something that's not needed so if I wanted to ask about like the potency of a product or some question about a specific listing should everything that's not my address just be sent regularly or?
Which messages to dnm vendors should be encrypted?

Only things that can identify you.

Check the vendor profiles. Many vendors will require pgp on all messages, but some don't care as long as it isn't sensitive like address information. I'd pgp the first message and ask what they prefer or just use pgp for all comms

They have scripts in place already, they are not dumb :^)
Really all you need to encrypt is your address

Just decrypt everything damnnnit
If theyre lazy enough to decrypt a message you can bet they will be lazy enough to leave a space in their vacuum seal

I dunno, I'm sure diff vendors have diff preferences. My own thinking is the only thing that needs be encrypted is data that is not already public. The dude is selling drugs on the market so anything about the product I leave unencrypted. My address, anything address related, or maybe if I want to go off market and want their BTC addy -those things I encrypt.
What I don't like is when vendors leave you tracking in clear text.

Stuff you don't want people to read: encrypt.
stuff you don't care if people read: don't encrypt.
If they have listings up, you can ask about those unencrypted. If any personal info is in any message (drops, zip codes, alternate accounts, reddit accounts) you should encrypt those as it could leave a bread crumb trail back to you.
Always encrypt your mailing info. Some vendors like all comms to be encrypted, some vendors you will piss off if you encrypt any "chit-chat".
I only encrypt what I might call "sensitive" messages.
