Easiest way to crack wifi?

So I see that using someone's wifi other than your own is the best option. My laptop has a wireless card with packet injection, and there are about 5 signals that reach me. I already have Kali Linux on a flash drive. What is the easiest way for an absolute noob at this to crack wifi? I believe Kali comes with aircrack? or fern or something? Also, can I boot a 32 bit distro on my 64 bit computer?

You have Kali Linux with packet injection and you can't figure out how to crack a wifi?

Wtf?

Easiest way on Kali is a program called WiFite. Open a terminal and type: wifite

The program will scan available access points and list the encryption types they're using and available attacks. WPS attack is my favorite but not all access points are vulnerable, and it can be quite slow. If there is a WEP access point nearby attack that first...easiest to crack. WPA/WPA2 will require the dictionary attack option and the default dictionary probably won't cut it. Try though you might get lucky.

Play with Kali and test the options against your own WiFi first. Practice makes perfect and all that.

What is this?

Nobody else thinks this is way overkill?

Imo and i could be wrong but any current ap is not going to be noob friendly to crack. Long gone are the days of wep and most wpa /wpa2 aps have built in protection to thwart the old exploit that made them easier than wep. I generally pay for my internet these days so i could be missing a new vuln but the 2 easy ways i know of are so ancient it would be laughable to find one vuln in my area anyways

fern wifi cracker literally is point and click. I usually use wifite and aircrack-ng run manually together.

You need to RTFM seriously, but ill give you a few hints to get you pointed in the right direction:

Don't fuck with WPA security, you ain't getting in. Not unless you have a seriously powerful GPU and a couple days and a good password list and the wifi has a weak password. And even then its not that likely. Kali comes with a few password lists if you want to try it anyway. The one advantage is you can grab the handshake packets, save them, and go home and do the cracking.

WEP can be cracked in between 15 minutes and 6 hours depending on the brand/model of router. Some routers are pretty much immune to it as they lock you out for trying to hack them. Most routers in general are vulnerable to it. I use wifite and at the same time use 3 other windows running aircrack-ng experimenting with different hacks to generate BS packets to make it do it faster.

wifite is great for WPS cracking also. Usually takes about 6 hours.

Wifi is easier to crack in northern Mexico because the routers provided by most of the ISPs there have crappy WEP security.

Use wigle wifi on a smartphone to war drive to find your target. Drive 30mph or less and it'll find all of the wifis and you might even find an open one.

Anddddd....once i'm in i can gain access to the admin page at an alarming success rate. People dont put passwords on it and netgear has a backdoor in their routers....lol.

Yes you can boot a 32 bit distro on a 64 bit computer. Some computers come with that setup for some reason.

But why the hell are you doing this to use tor? This is kind of dumb as hell.

Try burning the iso to a DVD. My USB wouldn't work but that did for some reason. Just watch YouTube videos and follow along and you should be able to make something happen

Just run it in a VM

I had a party at my house once and this dude showed up with this apple laptop. He asked for the wifi password and I said 'here let me type it in for you cause I used that password for a lot of things' then he said 'you might not wanna do that cause I could crack it in less than a minute'. I said no way because I pride myself in my passwords. They are usually over 10 characters and a string of random numbers and letters. Then he opened up some program on his lap top and I swear in less than a minute he was logged in. My mind was blown. Then something happened and we all got distracted so I was never able to corner him and 50 question him about it. I've always wondered what that program was and how I could obtain it. Maybe one of you fine gentlemen could answer the question that's been boggling my mind this past 5 years.
