Red flag up on mailbox

I am expecting a package shipped priority and it should have arrived today. I got home to check mail and the package wasn't there, other mail was, but my red flag on box was up. I didn't do it. Am I being paranoid? Other people have mailboxes next to mine but why would they put it up? Should I contact vendor?

"Should I contact vendor?"

You sir, are a paranoid idiot.

This is getting out of hand. Out of all the paranoid things people post on here when they're sure they're going to jail, this is one of the weirdest.

When I was a kid I would put up the red flag on random mailboxes. There is no reason to think that this is a sign of something. If the cops want to know what house you live in they aren't going to have the mailman put up the flag in order to mark it. What is the vendor going to do? Does he tell USPS to not deliver something if the customer gets paranoid?

I'm really not trying to be a dick, but what would make you think this was something you need to contact the vendor about?

Dude, this thread had made me realize that I should have kept this one to myself. ;)

Hahaha, I meant contact vendor to see if anyone had gotten a love note or his orders were "lost," meaning LE. But thank you for your responses, I felt like an idiot posting it.

Man, you're fucked, Obama himself is going to drone your house now. You should go to your local DMV and beg for mercy. Either that or some kid flipped up your flag.

I'm sure it was either mommy or daddy picking up your high school transcripts. No need to fret.... I'm just playing man.. relax. I'm sure your fine.
