How long after a delivery will the feds raid your home?

If I had a reason to be paranoid how long should I write return to sender on the package and let it sit in my house before it's safe to open? Before anyone says that it has to be a CD.... it doesn't. They can find drugs in the package, deliver them to your mailbox, then just raid after you pick up your mail.

Example A of that:

Anyone know?

I recommend waiting 1-2 years, just to be on the safe side.

I'd expect less than 5 minutes.

Long enough for you to have opened the package, but even if you haven't they'll have tactics to strong-arm you into a "visit" to the local police station

Interesting. Is it known to be DNM related?

Generally speaking, you'll be raided in minutes. There might be reasons to wait and only reason really is if they are doing something more long term like watching you. Might happen with a big distributor. Otherwise there is no reason to wait. Keep in mind the CD goal is not just the pack. It's to find supporting evidence in your home. LE knows they could have an uphill battle with just a pack so the idea is that they'd find other evidence in your home.

But mostly it'll be minutes.

Also - in that article when they say 9pm that's an error. It's 9am. I researched the case quite a bit. It was just a regular mail delivery that he received in.

1 to 2 years that cracked me up
