Different types of Ketamine?

What are the different types of K? I see S Isomer and R Isomer. I've ordered K a few times and sometimes it has burned my nose like hell and other times its been pretty smooth. Does that have anything to do with the type of K? or would it be more of a purity thing? Thanks

[6 Points] None:

there are a bunch of different ketamine isomers, knowing the difference between them and how they effect people is the job of an anesthesiologist.

The majority of ketamine usage is S+ and R-, I suppose they have the best recreational high. people will swear by a certain isomer, which I don't understand. I like my ket racemic, which is a mixture of the isomers.

As far as burn and drip it comes down to drug quality and the person

The strongest batch of ketamine I've ever had was labeled as "medical grade ketamine" and that's stuff burned the most out of all other K I've ever tried. The weakest stuff I've had had no burn whatsoever and very little drip but the visuals from that k was mind blowing. I honestly don't think it was all ketamine because I've never been able to get those visuals again.

I assume real k burned and some cut shit was smooth

The two isomers of ketamine are S (also called (+)) and R (a.k.a. (-)). They are literally just mirror images of the same molecule.

S isomer causes more visual and psychedelic effects. It's also more potent by weight and lasts for a shorter time. I would describe the effects of R isomer as more "drunk" than S. I find it less clearheaded and more "muddy." Racemic ketamine is an equal mixture of the two, and is the most common form; if the isomer isn't specified it's probably racemic.

Of people who prefer an isomer most prefer S, including me. I find it to be a lot more feel-good and better at producing the k-hole. YMMV though and there seem to be plenty of people out there who prefer having some R in the mix for the numbness/relaxation/sensory deprivation effects.
