MythBusters: DNM Edition

Hey folks, long time DNM user/lurker here! I've found myself curious about some conflicting views many people have around here on some opsexy topics, and whether they are fact or fiction. I have personally taken some things said on this sub for fact, when in reality not all suggestions are necessarily concrete. I'm sure I'm not the only one, so I felt making a thread to discuss and question some not-so definite opsec suggestions could be beneficial for some users, including myself!

I'll get the ball rolling (if anyone is interested) with one practice that I've always found interesting to be suggested, and that is regarding USPS tracking. Many users say that it is a big no-no to track a package through USPS' website via TOR. Is it true??

Busted! USPS isn't even accessible through the TOR network. Try it yourself if my word isn't good enough.

Another USPS related thought that I've been curious about is the view that checking tracking is bad practice due to it throwing a red flag if done too much. Is it true??

Plausible! While I have no true evidence whether extensive tracking checking alerts USPS, I personally believe it isn't true. I've been an obsessive tracking checker myself for years with legal purchases, and I don't doubt there are hundreds of thousands just like myself. To me it just doesn't seem feasible for that to be a liable method of catching illegal packages.

What do you guys think? I'd love to hear some things that you guys have been wondering about and would like to prove/debunk!

PS. Shout out /u/wombat2combat for being so diligent over at /r/darknetmarketsnoobs, you do awesome things and make the community a much better place :)

It use to be I think. Canada Post is still accessible through tor and I imagine many others are as well.

If they're smart enough to block TOR (for an obvious reason) they're smart enough to take further action on it (for an obvious reason). Just because the page doesn't load doesn't mean shit.
