Hit and miss.
Regular post is really inconsistent: it might take 2 business days for a letter to get from BC to Ontario, and then the next week it might take that exact same letter, exact locations, 10 business days. No rhyme or reason to it.
XpressPost is more consistent in that sense, what with it being loosely "guaranteed." 2 business days from coast-to-coast for major urban centres, 3 business days if smaller municipality. Regional and local can often be as short as 1 business day. And this is usually pretty reliable: however, the holidays do throw things into whack, and I've been experiencing an extra business day tacked onto most of my orders lately. However, to their credit, they've added weekend deliveries for the holidays now in major urban centres (e.g. Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver.)
The biggest thing that sucked balls with CP this year was the strike. On again, off again. On again, off again. At least they finally signed a contract for a year, but I'll be really fucking miffed if this shit starts up again next year for the 1,000,000th time.

no. I think people complain alot because canada has gigantic provinces. Imagine you lived in new york and almost all your orders came from arizona or cali. It usually takes 5-8 business (express) days to go from one coast to the other.
