[GeneralQuestions] Hi, drugs have no scent?

Alternatively, relatively common drugs that dogs aren't trained to sniff for. I think MDMA, meth, speed, coke, and obviously weed are all out of the question. But what about things like LSD, Ketamine, 2C-B, and others?

Would be really helpful, as I'm not really keen on having drug dogs sniff out any incoming packages!

Odorless only means humans cannot smell it.

All material gives off "smell" because "smell" is essentially molecules "breaking off" and making their way into your nose. Your nose then "feels" the molecule and that's how you smell.

LSD is odorless to humans, but not to dogs. There are LSD training scents for dogs. See below.

All drug dogs are not the same. Dogs can be trained to smell absolutely any thing but they need to be trained for each drug separately so a dog that sniffs for drugs in a airport is going to be different from the dog your local pd has. The local dog is not going to be trained to find the same amount of different drugs that a boarder dog will. Just a reminder for local dogs is if the cops think you got shit on you they can make the dog "hit" on a scent even if it isn't there just to get a excuse to search.

Yes?

Apparently dogs can't smell LSD (or it's just too little of the chemical in the tabs for them to smell) but I've also read that they can, but only a few dogs are actually trained to detect it.

One time, I had a pocketfull of methadone pills while a drug dog sniffed down my car....I went on my way a few minutes later....
