Technology works for you.. you do not have to answer the door bell.

For all of those that are concerned about getting a CD, why even open your door? Depending on what you order, peronal amounts should fit in a regular envelope in your mailbox - find a vendor with good stealth.

If you are ordering bulk and the post guy has no secure place to leave a package you need to upgrade your tech. I know in inner cities generally the postman will only leave a slip on your door or you have to meet them at the door, this is no good. Rent a place in the burbs with some nice shrubs around the door, put a little 'friendly/family' sign that says all deliveries here > with a arrow to a bench. Or get a mailbox / coworking rental and let your packages sit for a couple weeks before picking them up.

But what ever your stoned ass does, don't answer the bell - they will eat you.

Honestly, you can talk to your postman and work out a two-key system.

He has a key to one box that he leaves key #2 in. Key #2 opens the box with your package in it. This ensures only him and yourself have access to the package, and you don't have to be there for him to deliver it.

Many apartment buildings use this exact system. If it's unclear, let me know and I'll explain it more thoroughly.

I heard that they stick GPS tracking devices in the packages that also let them know when its opened. Well that what /u/h00kup said in this post.
