Entitled and pompous

Ok, im welcoming the downvotes with open arms. I saw a text recently about some people on this sub and their entitled and pompous attitudes. I thought yeah, theres some people on here who are assholes and think they know everything. But ive also met some super cool people. however when someone asks a basic question these twats have to tell OP theyre a fuckin retard and stop posting and shit. My question is why are there so many people who think they know everything and have to flaunt their darknet knowledge in the form of douchbaggery? We were all beginners at some point, its just been pissin me off. idk pretty worthless post but i wanted to share this. That is all. Carry on.

EDIT: i guess people are just strung out on all their drugs, theyre all pissy and like to take it out on strangers on the internet lol

I can see that at times

I think a forum is probably your best bet for answers or just stickies on reddit as the community sometimes tends to be pretty harsh.

Don’t waste your time worrying about other people bro. I’ve been on this sub for years. People come and go. I only see this sub as a resource not as a place to hangout

You're right, of course. Much of it could be attributed to youthful derision and the lack of a certain social-norming on the Internet (see: Eternal September). Some of it could be attributed to people having bad days. I'm certainly guilty of that myself, though I try to abstain from calling people retarded and similar things. As for people thinking they know everything, look-up 'Dunning-Kruger Effect'. Also, I realize that I fall into the category by even mentioning those things. ;)

You can only answer the exact same question so many times before it starts to burn you out. Especially when the question can be answered by reading the sidebar or with a single search.

I get you but when you've been around here for a few years, the same questions come up time and time again and people could just use the search function.

Just playing devil's advocate here, but for some people this scene is their livelihood or hobby and this is one of the most progressive platforms for this scene so to have it clogged up with "nooby" questions or shitposts gets pretty old.

Yes everyone is a beginner at some point but there are step by step guides, market links, thousands of posts about advice, tips, warnings, reviews--it just gets old when people use this subreddit for answers that could be looked up elsewhere very easily or questions that no one has the answer to.

IMO this sub should look like: 50% vendor reviews 20% DNM articles 10% vendor warnings 10% general discussion/questions 10% market news

Edit: To be fair some people are just assholes and if you see someone being an asshole you should let them know, downvote, and move on

Maybe it’s just a hazing process. When I first started not long ago I couldn’t even get a mother fucker to send me and invite lol

Hey I can’t import a pgp key it says user not verified or authenticated what do I do. Dickhead responses accepted

I'd rather hang out with anonymous pompous pricks than real life drug users.

Besides the weed/psychs only crowd, every real life druggie that's entered my life has done something far shittier than being pompous.

I don't worry about waking up and finding out murderhomelesspeople stole my TV or some shit. (Love you MHP, you can steal my TV anytime)
