Finally gave Coinbase a try and although expensive, I had no problems. Went to buy more BTC and now it's saying my debit card won't work.

I wrote to tech support but it's been a nightmare. I keep getting automated messages and it's been over a week now. Why would my debit card work the first time and then 3 weeks later, not?

Coinbase uses a foreign card processor. It was probably your bank that flagged it for potential fraud if you don't make a whole lot of international purchases. I would give them a call and see if the issue isn't on their end. It may just be a matter of telling them the transaction was indeed authorized and asking them to approve any future transactions originating from that source.

Yeah you will probably need to call your bank and get them to approve future transactions or else they will think you are either getting scammed or laundering money. Also, I hope you tumbled them coins as they left the base of coins as there has been chatter about coinbase suspending accounts if they feel it was used for suspicious activity. Maybe in the future use localbitcoins or find a bitcoin atm that way you do not have to worry about your bank getting all up in your business.

Happened to me as well. Try using the mobile phone app and it may work. Thats what I have to do.

I have that before just keep trying and I had it work for me after about 6 tries.

I had this same problem, like everyone else I called my bank and got this resolved but it happened again, I was given the direct line to my banks fraud department and now before I make large bitcoin purchases from coinbase I call my bank and let them know so it doesn't get blocked. Also just got approved on Gemini so I'm going to try that soon :D
