Dash is an altcoin designed for tumbling and works in Tails

Joinmarket is a great idea, but its Tails version is not ready yet. I haven't gotten it to work once after several hours of trying. If you can get the full node tailsjoin tumbler working, please let me know.

So I tried Monero, and lost about $400 because of a shitty Chinese exchange (live and learn). I'm sure Monero works for most, but it is nearly impossible to get working in Tails. Even the official online wallet doesn't support Tor.

So I tried Dash (formerly known as Darkcoin)...and it works! You can install the core client right into your persisent folder, and it has basically a "mix my coins" button right there in the front. Pairing Dash with shapeshift.io and you've got clean bitcoins at basically no fees. Of course, the problem comes with the price fluctuations of Dash/BTC.

Joinmarket works on tails no problem.

BTC -> SDC (Shadowcoin) -> BTC (wallet) -> DNM will work. I do this via shapeshift.io - only when I need to.

Relevant.

I read in the forums many people have trouble mixing with Dash and Tails without persistence - be careful to make appropriate backups. That's why I like Monero, you just need your seed.
