Fox? Great. I'm sure this will be a non-biased look at the Dark Net Markets.

The Coen brothers are both 61, not 'tech savvy' and probably have around two months to write this. Also, it's based directly on this and this, the infamous Wired articles that are extremely factually flawed and are told from the point of view of the cops...

Heads up guys, this won't be a film made for us. When this comes out it'll be an extremely shit time for vendors and buyers as it'll probably make Ulbricht out to be this murderous Pablo Escobar of the Dark Net. Tbh I was hoping for an indie film company like A24 to be the people that took this to Hollywood, make it fair like Alex Winters' Deep Web documentary. The best we can hope for now is if another film crops up on the markets from an average vendors viewpoint, but let's be honest, a dude in his mid-twenties unpacking and repacking packages for two hours probably won't make for 'good entertainment' regardless of the truth. I'm sure the mainstream will have a lot of fun demonizing all of us as evil criminals and then use us as a reason to why the internet needs to be monitored even more.

But hey, maybe the dialogue in this will be as witty as it is in Fargo. Can't wait to see how the guys at FOX describe PGP and Tor and I'm sure Jared Leto will make a great Ross, even though they have a 12 year age difference and look nothing a like.

Thats it, I'm stocking up for a lifetime supply until this shit blows up!!!

Yeah, it's probably gonna be biased. But this is gonna bring more people into the markets of course. The more of us here the closer it is to the end of the war on drugs.

Publicity is good imo, and in England it's been quite favourable for a while now.

They tried to do a "BBMC-style" intro sequence for authenticity, but it wasn't working out. Ethan contacted me and showed it to me, and I said "That's not me at all. I would have done something like this, to a Scott Walker track".

I knocked this video up to show them the sort of thing, and they decided to use it as the opening title to their film - minus the "ceased" notice (which kinda gives the end away).

Here it is:- https://youtu.be/IluK1RjTEfI "NEXT - BBMC - Scott Walker"

(I'm not getting paid, but the publicity is enough)

Odds that Michael Cera and/or Jessie Eisenberg play Ulbricht?

OR. Bear with me....

The two of them form into a gelatinous cellular mass and take on the role together!

I sure as hell hope it's the latter.

Yep, this is going to be BAD for buisness.

That last line. They're probably going to make a big deal of those fake murder-for-hire allegations.

Why can't we just be left to buy, sell and use our drugs in peace is that really so much to ask for?

The SilkRoad went down over 3 years ago...by the time this script is done and the movie is released I'm not sure how interesting this is going to be. Even soccer moms and grandmas have heard about this stuff by now.

What a time to be alive though, back in the day. I'll never forget logging on there the first few times and seeing all these drugs I'd never even heard of. And the time DPR did an interview with Forbes, lol. It was really something
