To preface: I was expecting a lot of high quality oil from a reputable and trusted source who i ordered from multiple times before without any problems. I told 3 "friends" that day I was expecting a package (Fail1). Anyway, Its a priority pack so it can show up any day and I'm not about to skip class to wait for it, come back from class to a delivered tracking and no box (wtf)??
Look on the side of my house and find my box ripped open with the goodies missing. I was gone for an hour and this has never happened to me after doing this for years.
Anyway, it has to be one of my three friends, but i don't have any proof... Months later, one of my three friends, R, says his package was also missing and he only told one person, T. T was one of the three people I told as well, a friend of about 2 years. So now we're pretty sure it's T.
My friend has cameras but his landlord is reluctant to show the footage without a police report. He also doesn't have a tracking cause his guy tossed it coincidentally, i told him to sign up for my USPS to get a time of delivery... This other kid is on probation and we are thinking of blackmailing him or something, I am out almost 2k and my friend 700.
1) How to convince a landlord to show security footage to a tenant? Honestly didn't even know this would be an issue
2) It is likely possible that my friend R is just lying about everything to take the blame away from him but I doubt it as he hit me out of no where months later and he seems pretty upset.
3) Why would someone steal a package and leave the box ripped open? Give up or what do?
Tl;dr
Dont tell anyone when you're getting your shit (even your friends)
confront him, no violence though...if it comes down to a face to face stare down, assert dominance with a not gay kiss (see brock lesnar and kurt angle). he'll come clean. alpha him
