Is paranoia about "high risk" or "flagged" countries overblown?

Ive been reading some of the past threads on this subject, and reading official links regarding countries targeted for drug trafficking and it occurred to me..... nearly every country in the world is considered to be involved in drug trafficking by the US government. Everyone is either a major player, consumer, or transshipment point. https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/fields/2086.html

It begs the question then if there really is any point thinking you're better off ordering from one country internationally than another?

I know countries like Australia regard packages from the golden triangle as highly suspicious but at the same time, China is also known for being a major (actually probably upwards of 95% of the market's source) supplier for steroids and meth (and/or the precursors for it) and yet guys in Australia get steroids from china fairly frequently.

Many supposed "high-risk" labels seem more based off unfounded bias about certain countries being "druggy" or "dirty" than it is off factual information that customs targets shipments from these countries.

What do you think?

I know for a fact based on tracking info, in Canada atleast, that ordering from certain countries puts your package at a higher risk of being inspected by customs. Almost everything from the UK passes through customs in a matter of hours, occasionally my packs from us will stay in customs for a about 2 business days (this means its been inspected, meaning possible xray scan, but probably not opened) while every pack I order from spain seems to spend atleast a few days in customs, and if they decide to open and test the contents (im referring to legal clearnet rc's) then it can take a week to a few months depending on the drug. First they will NIK test it, which is just a reagent test and thats takes them a week. If its something like mephedrone (back when it was legal in Canada) which gives similar results as illegal drugs, then the will use gc/ms or some equivalent to determine the exact identity of the drug and thats what takes them months (I mention this because it happened to me once, back when mephedrone was legal I ordered an ounce internationally and it was held by customs for close to 2 months) Same deal for Netherlands and China but thats all I have experience with personally (minimum 20 packs from each country, from large packages of clearnet shit to small envelopes of illegal and legal drugs)

What you have to consider: how much drugs are yiu ordering? If its a personal amount, firstly its less likely to be detected and secondly customs will just confiscate it without legal action or just a love letter. If your ordering bulk then you have to worry about it getting caught and them doing a controlled delivery to bust your ass.

Basically yes if its a high risk country theres a greater chance it will be caight by custums, but most packs will slip through undetected because they cant inspect every peice of mail plus they focus more on packages than letters in an envelope because they only care about bulk amounts, unless you live in a ridiculously strict country, drug-enforcement wise.

High risk relates to the difficulty for vendors to properly stealth. You can get big bulk from the highest risk countries to countries with very secure customs, but it is hard and the number of vendors who can is few.

You could have a small order seized domestically if the vendor is bad too, but few are that bad.

Better question is: do you want to find out if it is a hoax?

It's your freedom on the line, play the game as you see fit.

Impossible to say, really. Personally I've ordered internationally only two times. One from Gammagoblin was fine, but the second from NL was seized. That's enough to keep me away.

as others have said, is it really worth playing with fire for a few extra dollars domestic? if you're a personal use buyer you'll likely be fine, but i avoid it if i can find a decent-looking US supplier since i'd prefer to go through life without felony charges. if i can't though, (ex: 2c-b) then i'll go international with a trusted vendor. just do your research, and i'd generally avoid NL - may be overblown, but i'm not risking my ass to find out.
