question about diffierent types of opiates on a drug screen

So i have to take a drug test to keep my doc and im prescribed hydrocodone but took oxycodone will they show up as the same or different? The drug test was because im prescribed benzos and smoke pot and tested positive. Edit: Not a pain clinic, just my doc i go to see when im sick and have to do 3-6 month check ups for xanax.

It depends on if they're looking for it, but yeah if they're using the same testing like most pain management/opiate treatment facility doctors do, then yes Hydro/oxy will come up as different substances.

The most common is a 7 panel drug screen. If the test is expensive enough it will probably sjow the difference. Now i dont know if the substance has to metabolize before it tests right and im just spit balling here, but would it be conceivable to mix pill(s) your supposed to take into fake urine?? Im sure someone here is an expert at this. Lol

No one can answer for sure, drug tests vary too much. The most weaksauce ones are just the dipstick that y/n for only morphine-related opiates (heroin etc) and the most intense ones go to gc/ms to tell the exact quantity and exact molecules you ate.

If it's for a pain clinic it's likely it's on the more intense end, a lot of pain doctors test both for specific drug and amount to make sure you're taking it as prescribed.

There are some tests that test for ALL opiates - hydro/oxy/fent/etc. - but only hit back yes/no, so it's not impossible that you'll fail but I imagine that most pain docs wouldn't be using this kind of test.

I give it a 15% chance of not being fucked.

most drug test WILL NOT test for fentanyl

It depends if the opiate substance breaks down into morphine or not

If they wanted to really look into it, they'd see the difference. And if they're monitoring intake via urine analysis, they'd probably see the difference because of how finite they're getting.

An opiate is an opiate. Heroin, oxy, hydrocodone. They all.show up the same
