It's time choose our new crypto currency with wisdom.

What crypto currency should we move to?

I feel I will find the most impartial and intelligent answers in this sub, I hope we can choose a crypto currency were must of us agree to use. We, as community played an important roll back in the days between 2011 and 2014 with Bitcoin, to make it a known crypto currency, proving decentralized money is the money of the future and people can trade with it. Unfortunately, Bitcoin has gone in the wrong direction and apparently is being manipulated by the wrong people. Low fees and fast transactions were 2 of the greatest features from Bitcoin, but now those features are gone.

New cryptos a/k/a altcoins have arisen with great features, good performance and some have proven to be reliable. I believe it's time to move to a new cryotocurrency (in my humble opinion), not only considering anonymity. We must consider all factors at the moment of choose our new crypto as reliability, fees, anonymity, and the future of this crypto currency. Moreover, we must consider the ease of use, how many people use it outside the darknet markets because vendors will have to cash out, besides the more people that use it the better for us.

Please share your thoughts, opinions, suggestions, regarding in what direction should we go. Any constructive comment is welcome and do not overdose yourself this Christmas!

Monero by a long shot. Once it is available for direct purchase in the US, I think it will become the standard as far as DNM's.

People are just so accustomed to and familiar with bitcoin at this point. Having to buy alt coin, then convert into XMR, all the while maintaining seperate and secure wallets that do not work on a single user interface, is a huge barrier to entry in my opinion.

Once XMR becomes as easy to acquire as LTC or ETH for example, I think that will be the major turning point as far as the standard dark net currency.

Love ur username btw. We could always try e-coin if all else fails right?

Monero, and maybe Aeon too down the line once it's ready.

[18 Points] OffshoreBrothels:

XMR is a no brainer and has already been decided by most markets / this sub

I think we should use several. Using just one gives LE something to focus on.

Any coin can be broken, if not now, then in the future. So whatever coin you use, you always have to keep that in mind.

What's wrong with Zcash again? I've heard fairly good things about it, not from around here of course, but I've heard it's privacy oriented and they do a lot to keep it that way.

The way I see it, is that decentralization as a concept is the way to success in the future. No more eggs all in the same basket.

Decentralized markets AND DD options. Decentralized AND multiple review forums. Decentralized AND Multiple vendor contact information sources . Decentralized AND Multiple currencies.

To pick just one option, is to discount the opportunity ahead of us. The window is open and ripe for opportunity.

Monero or navcoin

Monero. Anything else is playing with fire. If you have any sense of self-preservation you'll run, not walk, to private technologies. Most private coins treat privacy as a nice feature and not the protection of your liberty and freedom. Everything else - liquidity, confirmation time, transaction fees - is inconsequential. It'll work itself out. Your freedom is not guaranteed to have a happy ending and I promise you it is not worth gambling something so important on a shade of convenience.

VTC, and XVG are two that come to mind. XVG has some huge potential. I don't really know if it's ready for real world use as of now though.
