Hipsters crying about the Vice episode.

Please explain to me why this is bad? Other than 14 year olds ordering xanax bars to their parents house.

I've seen a lot of people saying "the less people know about the markets the better"... how?! HOW?! I guess it's bad from drug dealers because the price on the street will fall but other than that I don't see this as a bad thing. Most of you all aren't full time drug dealers anyway so that really shouldn't matter. Unless youre worried about your friends finding out how much you've been screwing them for.

A quote by our own great /u/Vendor_BBMC

You're all living in the past, trying to pull the rope ladder up behind you because it was the perfect size when you heard about it, but everybody after you is stupid. Right?

[10 Points] None:

Friends finding out how much you have been screwing them for I bet that hit a chord with all the high school/college dealers on here

They think it's bad because they think they are apart of some underground community. When in reality this hasn't been a secret since like 2012. They just down want their friends to find out where to get good drugs. If their friends find out where to get good drugs, they won't have any friends left. Let that sink in.

No its bad because idiots start ordering kilos or thousands of pills from sketch countries and/or super hot vendors who are unable to switch up stealth fast enough and still keep up with orders. Then a bunch of packs get profiled and a bunch of people get in trouble and go to jail. Ya I don't have a problem with new people coming in and buying small amounts or even medium sized amounts for resale but there's too many idiots out there who wanna be big weight dealers and have no experience and have no idea what they're getting themselves into. People think this is like Amazon or Ebay and its not people lose their freedom over this shit everyday. I think big vendors need to go private and start developing networks with smaller vendors and bulk buyers to sell their products to normal everyday people. That way they can still get rid of the same amount of weight but through less people and less packs because the amount in the packs will be bigger.

Its not rocket surgery, more people more attention more arrests

The show depicted the host placing an order for Etizolam on Alpha Bay and then accepting and opening the shipment. You would think the Vice office would be expecting a visit from LE since what was shown is totally illegal, regardless of whether etiz is technically legal in the U.S. Seems stupid to put the heat on themselves.

I think it's selling a lot of DNM users short to accuse people, as BBMC did with his quote, of trying to "pull the ladder up." The secrecy aspect of the DNM doesn't have much to do with keeping our drug using friends from finding out or to enable price gouging, but has a ton to do with ensuring as little undue attention comes to our markets as possible.

Remember Silk Road? Authorities knew about it for a while, but there wasn't a significant investigation/prosecution effort until it became so popular that mainstream media articles were being written about it.

Remember mephedrone? It was legal for years without people batting an eye, until "the scene" exploded and it became well known as a club drug featured on nightly news. Suddenly it became worthy of a federal ban.

All press is not good press, and this subculture can only take damage from the markets becoming more intimately known about by those who still fear them. In 9/10 cases more knowledge is good, but there are those 1/10 instances in life where it's better that those on the outside can't easily look in.
