[CommunityDiscussion] Anonymous shipping methods

I read the following article: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=442807.0 and was wondering what you guys think about this. I don't know the USA law or how any of that works, but it seems like a useful method for getting packages delivered to you. TL;DR You can read the serial number off money and use that for shipping, then provide the note as proof. This seems like a really good idea in the event your mail gets intercepted, as it does not require your name. Thoughts on this?

Because thats what you wanna do - call as much attention to the mail as possible, down to the craziest To: name the mailman has ever seen.

This is fuckin silly.

How many times do we have to tell you guys? A real house, and a name that would fit with the other mail. This is begging to talk to a mailman, and thats the LAST thing you EVER want to do. Trust me, if you talk to your mailman, he knows you forever, and you'll be 'Mr. Dollar Bill' at the post office.

"Whos that box for?" "Mr. Dollar Bill lmfao" "Lol lemme see it, wtfs this dude getting anyway?"

And having your name on it, in America, isnt considered evidence of requesting the mail. There is no proof someone else didnt have your name placed on that object. 110% the 'evil ex' defense is your best bet in the USA.

even if this is a legit way of receiving a package, i bet it's so obscure that the postal worker would give you weird looks and maybe not even let you have the package until she consults the postmaster.

and you can bet that future packages that they receive address like this will be looked at with more scrutiny.

Would never do this. Too much human interaction for me.

Is it the 1800's?

Honestly, the only places that still do a lot of general delivery post, you don't need an ID because you're probably related to the postman.
