Let's destroy the dark market concept

We can replace it with a simple website that lists vendors, the wares they carry, and a public key which can be used to generated 2/2 multisig transactions. In addition a third key can be posted by mods for increased moderation 2/3. All transactions will be done through Electrum/CoinKite/Coinbin. Why on god's green earth should we send another satoshi to one of these marketplaces? We're continually lining the pockets of scammers and the DEA/DOJ. Let's grow up here, it's time.

If no one wants to lead this revolution, I will post a website next week and start the show.

EDIT: For those that mention Openbazaar and other projects, I am not interested. Those creations will be unveiled to the public when the time is right (if ever). I am talking a very simple onion site, vendors profile pages with signed pgp messages and signed bitcoin messages proving authenticity, a listing of products and prices. You will go to this website to see what a vendor has for sale and to initiate a multisig transaction, however you will never send coins to the market, only send coins directly to multisig addresses you create.

The revolution is coming: decentralized marketplaces. No more exit scams, no more seizures. Openbazaar will be released soon.

[25 Points] DnmAvenger:

This will never work. There would be scams everywhere. And really you can do this now. Just pick a vendor and DD. Do you see what I am saying? You can do that at any current market or Grams or our DNMA website.

You guys need to learn to stop jumping on bandwagons. Stop talking about shit you're never gonna do. And try to understand that this is all part of a new game that we all play, but it is still better than buying bullshit off the street.

If you haven't noticed... the markets that people talk the most shit about are still standing. Every time there is the next big thing they fuck everyone over. Hmmm..... take that and run with it.

I'm waiting for the newsline:

'Massive online drug marketplace, run by a man by the online persona of 'isuckeddickforcoke,' recently taken down by the DEA. More to follow'

[10 Points] Tactful-Glass:

Let's do destroy it /u/isuckeddickforcoke!

Keep it all decentralized and host it on ZeroNet for free!

See for more information: https://zeronet.io/

[6 Points] chef234:

Man dude, this was exactly what we did PRE Silk Road.

talk to an internet buddy for a while, ask for source, check source on undrugged/SafeOrScam. Gamble and wait.

[3 Points] isuckeddickforcoke:

What should we name it? Satoshislist? Rosslist?

[3 Points] Vendor_BBMC:

I bet this started out simple. then you added the essentials and it turned out like a darknet marketplace, but slightly moree complicated due to the (welcome) lack of onsite wallets.

If it was released to this specification, it would be the most-complicated marketplace. All this signed PGP to show authenticity as vendors:- Where do they prove they are vendors? On a better marketplace?

As a new marketplace, you would have to take what vendors you can get

the ideal would be a traditional marketplace with wallets, but RUN BY AN HONEST PERSON.

Like Silk Road 1, blackbank and Agora. All these complicated features are to stop the site owner from stealing.

However, the site owner codes them. If they want to steal they will, and if they don't they won't. most important is an honest, competent owner.

[2 Points] turny122:

This would be great. The only way to go now. Wouldn't making something like this have the same amount of difficulty as say coding a while market. I can imagine it now, a lot less scamming and bs

[2 Points] MLP_is_my_OPSEC:

This is similar to an idea I've had stewing in my head and posted about earlier today here: https://www.reddit.com/r/DarkNetMarkets/comments/3zebui/so_eic_stole_our_money_huh/cylmkuk

Combine a social platform and independent vendor shops and you have what I believe to be the next generation of markets.

[2 Points] PenisAndBalls1:

I would rather destroy your mother's pussy

[2 Points] Vendor_BBMC:

Because you're techy, star wars-watching computer nerds, you arepputting your faith in a technical solution to a social-engineering problem.

lets say that I start "VBBMC marketplace" and it has multisig escrows which have open source code on github.

"VBBMC marketplace can't steal from you"

Then, the sitehas technical problems and goes offline for 3 hours on Monday night. then, on Tuesday, somebody's redeam script doesn't work. That's because I replaced the "2 of 3" with fingertraps.

My site. my rules. I wrote wallets to stop ME from stealing. But now I fancy doing some stealing so Ive replaced all the wallets with ones which say "your balance is 4.86 btc, everything is OK

The 4.86btc is tumbling in bitcoinfog.

But why do that? I'm an admin. I will lock them out of their accounts, then login as the customer, release the escrow, then login as the vendor. I can ALWAYS do this, no matter how many stupid locks you put on the escrow whilst letting the world watch on the blockchain. I have full server admin rights, and all the multisig keys are contained in my server.

So lets stop this multisig nonsense before it gets so complicated it disappears up its own rectum. An escrow is a box with a nut in it. you can both SEE the nut. Customer can only open the vendor's door to the box.

Customers show us they are good for the money with the escrow, How do they know we are good for the drugs?

There should be a drug escrow with a bag of weed or g of MXE in it and a live webcam. The bag drops through a trap door and into an envelope which already has your address details on a printed label.

[1 Points] cheapcab:

Syscoin is really the only ones going in a truly decentralized marketplace system that can work for our needs. Their Shade Wallet is in beta and can be tested out for free.

Everything functions inside the wallet and all business is done on the blockchain. Give it a read.

[1 Points] Gomba1:

FFS, Just use Grams infodesk:

http://grams7enufi7jmdl.onion/infodesk

Get any vendor's details, contact, and do a direct deal.

[1 Points] allwedoisball:

its gonna be a little while before that happens

[1 Points] somebodygoneride:

its gonna be more complex or less aesthetically pleasing i think people will still be able to make money in markets

[1 Points] None:

What if someone just made a forum based market like TMG but with multisig escrow? TMG is all fe only right?

[1 Points] isuckeddickforcoke:

Grams could be a phenomenal platform to launch this idea on top of. Are you listening Grams?

[1 Points] ShulginsCat:

I like this idea and applaud the initiative. (no sarcasm)

[1 Points] hog_master:

This is what I do already. Don't wait for someone to do it for you.

[1 Points] beennnnnjererrryysss:

OP, is it possible to do a 2/2 with n-timelock but then set it up so that if the buyer gets scammed they can freeze the timelock so vendor doesnt make off with the funds? This would release the buyer from having to login again to pay the vendor and would protect the escrow if the site ever goes down.

[1 Points] bodevelho:

The main issue I find in this idea is that, the people behind this website would not make any money out of it, why would you risk hosting such website, and spend your time moderating it for free? your idea is not that great really.. I mean it's not impossible but it would only work in a utopic world where someone dumb enough would host a drug website for free and was able to find a team of other dumb people to spend their time moderating it, again for free, find those people and your idea will succeed, good luck

[1 Points] CodeReaper:

Better yet, make it a simple decentralized list that operates on a blockchain, ensuring everyone gets a genuine copy and that everyone has an equal opportunity to vote on vendors' reliability.

[1 Points] GreenMatters:

I will gladly be signing up as a vendor there and post my ad for direct deals or even "moderated"! =) ~GM

Remindme! 1 week

From sucking dick to multi millionaire?

[1 Points] an_illegal_smile:

the mod flair is getting salty

[1 Points] noonehear:

What up kimble / lobali!!?!?

[1 Points] None:

How do you intend on doing vendor ratings. If the transaction is not financially tied to the market how would you rate? what would stop me from logging on with different accounts and padding a vendor with 1912491312134 succesful transactions and 1/3 of a bad transaction? Unless money is tied to the sale through the market how would you do ratings? On good faith?

[1 Points] TheRealRocketship:

This is a great idea. I think it'd be better if it incorporated customer feedback too, but it's a step in the right direction

[1 Points] EZPeeVee:

TMG seems to be working well so far.

[1 Points] kingkumquat:

How'd it go

[1 Points] ShulginsCat:

Any updates?

[0 Points] reddit_lurker242:

How are you going to fund it? Entry fees? If this is really a 'revolution' I don't want to see any kind of profits going to the admins.

[-1 Points] Hank_Vendor:

we dont need multi sig... we need agora

maybe if we made an Agora logo spotlight and shined it at the sky he will come back.

[-1 Points] trinidadmaniac:

dont see it happening
