Interpreting Vendor Feedback

I posted this on the Evo sub but this one gets more traffic and thought I'd get a more diverse set of opinions. I was looking at some vendors on Evo and notice that some vendors will have a Level 2 badge with a fairly high number of sales (I assume those are sales next to the level badge). However, when I look at Feedback for some vendors, they'll have all positive BUT a very low number of positives as compared to the number in the badge. In a particular case, a vendor has over 60 sales but single digits in positive feedback, no neutral or negative feedback.

I would expect that the number of feedback/reviews should be close to the number of sales. I understand that vendors will often have orders that haven't finalized and thus no review. However, I find it strange that a vendor would have 50 or so orders that haven't finalized (unless they were a huge vendor of course who move a ton of product). Am I right in thinking this is strange? I was also thinking that the difference in counts are not just the orders that haven't finalized but could also be people who did NOT leave feedback. Does Evo allow you not to leave feedback? I can't remember if that was an option or not. And even so, should I consider that abnormal?

I guess the way I look at it is that many people are afraid to leave feedback for obvious reasons. So I'm thinking the discrepancy in review count and order count is due not only to orders that haven't finalized but also due to people not leaving reviews for their order. Am I right in my line of thinking? Advice would help as it would help me when picking vendors. Obviously positive reviews are just one data point. Thoughts?

Maybe it's based on something else besides number of sales, price etc.

People dont leave feedback for many reasons including anonymity, laziness, and intimidation like you mentioned above. However if it's intimidation they would probably leave a review elsewhere like on the forums or here.

You sure your looking at the vendor profile and not the individual listing? Try clicking the vendors username.
