Open minds needed!

I was quite vocal about SMP being a scam and the thing I've learned most is that people seem to defend their favorite marketplace and down vote or slander the OP for even daring to raise the possibility of a possible scam.

I got torn to shreds on a personal level and downvoted because I posted that thread. Funnily enough those who were most vocal in saying how much of an idiot I was have posted saying they're certain of the SMP scam.

I'm not bitter. I'm concerned. If warnings and anything other than praise for a marketplace is given the warnings fall through the cracks and I can guarantee were I not OP I certainly wouldn't want to vocalise any support for an unpopular viewpoint.

We all need to start thinking critically on these situations. If people disagree with any posts like mine above I'd certainly welcome debate- but reflex defence of SMP was evidently something which could've stopped more deposits to SMP.

SMP got away with an ongoing scam solely because posts like mine were trashed. Don't make people hesitate to give negative marketplace feedback towards them. It allows scams like SMP to thrive

The problem is that contrary to popular belief, lots of drug users are close minded and short sighted. I've always been one to comment if a downvote something.

People should always be cautious, and never have more money tied up than they can afford to lose.

Without reading your post, a lot of posts like that are scaremongering, shrill paranoia-fests with zero facts to back them up.

Anyone can post threads like that. Without facts, the posts just look like the poster is nuts, anti-drugs, or a shill.

I got banned from /r/silkroad after I watched SR get straight up doxxed. Fuck 'em, it doesn't stop me from using a market, but I will gloat when it ends. SR seems to be run by alright guys and what was uncovered confirmed that for me.
