Tulsa county deputies on Thursday arrested a Broken Arrow (Oklahoma) man after he received a package containing a "trafficking amount" of ecstasy at a local post office.

Adam Cole Coday, 20, was booked into the Tulsa Jail on complaints of trafficking a controlled dangerous substance, possession with intent to deliver a controlled dangerous substance and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. He was held in lieu of $30,000 bail and released early Friday, jail records indicate.

In May, U.S. Department of Homeland Security officials notified Tulsa County deputies that a shipment of MDMA, or ecstasy, was being shipped to the United States from the Netherlands, according to an arrest report.

Later in May, the post office in Broken Arrow received several phone calls from Coday, who was "adamant about picking up his parcel," but was unsuccessful because it had been seized, the report states.

On Thursday, a controlled delivery was staged at the post office. Tulsa County deputies, Homeland Security agents and U.S. Postal Service inspectors waited for Coday to pick up a parcel containing "trafficking amounts" of MDMA, according to the report.

About 1 p.m., Coday arrived, picked up the package and left before being stopped by law enforcement.

In addition to the package, investigators also found in the vehicle large amounts of other pills that tested positive as MDMA, bags containing cocaine and marijuana and a pouch of what was suspected to be LSD, the report states. Deputies also found cash, digital scales and a glass smoking pipe, according to the report.

After his arrest, Coday told investigators that he had previously ordered from the dark web seven parcels that contained ecstasy, the report states. Coday also said he sold a majority of the pills at a local club in addition to selling individual tablets for $20 each, according to the report.

...Too bad he told on himself at the end there.

About 1 p.m., Coday arrived, picked up the package and left before being stopped by law enforcement.

This horrible writer, Stacy Ryburn, makes it sound like he got away from the post office without being stopped, but I think he/she meant to write "Coday arrived, picked up the package, and left but was subsequently stopped by law enforcement".

Am I reading this right?

His package was seized, he called them and was "adamant about picking up his parcel."

He then proceeds to drive his vehicle full of drugs to the Post Office to pick it up.

What the fuck?

I honestly feel like the majority of people who get caught are really, really dumb.

Like I'm pretty new and I know ordering from the Netherlands is a terrible idea. Anything international isn't a good idea at all. Plus, how dumb can you really be to try and get your package anyways after they told you they seized it lol

Damn another young life ruined.

[6 Points] ApexWebmaster:

I'm glad stupid people like him exist, it gives low hanging fruit for law enforcement to pluck.. while taking the spotlight from those of us who use proper precautions.

[2 Points] NateRoyle:

Buying MDMA from the Netherlands just seems too risky. Worth paying extra to get it domestic or even from Canada imo.

[2 Points] xSimoHayha:

How much are domestic packages 'analyzed' or 'scrutinized' for illegal substances vs international ones? I assume a lot more but Im just curious if they are searched if at all

More VS/SnP fallout?

[1 Points] budsmokersonly710:

How did the Feds know the pack was coming that far in advance?

Either vendor was popped with customer list or this idiots buddy ratted on him

Still no explanation for that piss poor opsec

[1 Points] merckthrowaway:

I know I'm probably stating the obvious but I imagine that had this guy not tracked the package, not called the post office, had a clean car and house with zero incriminating evidence on his phone or computer as well as kept his mouth shut he'd probably be ok, right? Is that the general consensus?

Of course he'd have been arrested but $30,000 bond is really pretty small. I know what it feels like to be anxious about a pack, especially from NL, but what the fuck? If you don't have your nerves about you you really shouldn't commit a crime of that magnitude.

I personally never break the law, by the way. I only use tor and encryption because it's fun. I wonder if he even reads this sub. You don't have to be a rocket surgeon to know not to incriminate yourself but even if you don't know, that very thing is talked about here all the time. It's really not hard to be patient and quiet and I think that's all it takes to stay out of trouble. Patience and silence. If you don't do or say anything what could you possibly be charged with.

Let this reiterate(sp?) the importance of your god given rights. We don't need any government authority to tell us we can be quiet.
