Hello! Recently i have made a purchase on Evo. I am not very experienced and this is the first time i've had any issues so i came here looking for advice.
I ordered a listing for one gram of speed paste from a vendor (i won't name him until this is resolved in some manner) and set the quanitiy to 2.
A few days later i recieved a letter, eagerly opened it and proceeded to dry the wet paste. Now the vendor stated in the listing that he dried his paste a little already, would send overweight prodcut and promised only 10% weight loss from drying. I knew that this was probably unlikelyand was well prepared for the more common 30-40% of loss.
But after carefuly scraping the paste out of the bags and about 2 hours of drying over the gentle warmth of a radiator until the powder was white, flakey and had almost no smell i was bewildered to find my scale measuring less than 200mg. From an order for 2 grams of paste.
I assume two things happened: 1. Vendor only sent 1 gram to begin with, not looking at the quantity ordered and only the listing. 2. What was sent was underweight on top of it.
I of course immediately sent the Vendor a message on Evo calmly explaining the situation. After a day i impatiently sent a reminder (i realize this was unwarranted after only a day and on such a small order now).
After four days of no respnse i tried the email the Vendor provided on his profile (both my messages and the email were PGP encrypted). I still have not heard from the Vendor, and auto finalize is less than four days away.
I'm just wondering if there is any more i should do, and if not when would it be appropriate to open a dispute? I am really hoping to settle this with the Vendor and would gladly release the funds as soon as i get a reasonable response from the Vendor considering how relatively little money is involved and i as i'm sure the Vendor just made an honest mistake.
Going to the Feedback of the Vendor on both Evo and Agora it is overly positive though there are few and no informative mentions of him on the Market Forums or here on reddit. At least two other customers of the same listing had it shrink to a similarly minute amount from drying, leaving positive feedback regardless. One of them even recieved a comment from the vendor offering to reimburse him in some manner, and this might have encouraged me to simply proceed in the same manner if i hadn't also ordered twice the amount.
Sorry if this just seems like a rant, but the whole thing will just leave me with a bad feeling in my stomach until it's resolved and would greatly appreciate it if you could reassure me if i am doing the right thing and correct me if i am not.
maybe he meant you get 10% after drying
