Bitcoin Fog Account Hacked

I have used Bitcoin Fog for years without any issue.

Yesterday I deposited some BTC (when the delays were occurring). I checked 4 times during the day to see if the BTC had reached my account. Nothing was showing up but when I looked this morning the BTC had hit all 5 addresses and had been withdrawn without my knowledge.

I have messaged support but with no response.

Has anyone had the same issue? How would someone have accessed my account?

I'm resigned to having lost the BTC but am interested to know how this could have happened in order to avoid it happening again.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

You shouldn't have used Bitcoin Fog in the first place. That place is known to scam people. Hell they skimmed a lot of btc off the top from me the last time I used them. Stick to helix or bitblender and you should be fine. Bitcoin Fog should be on the active warning list for sure.

People, for fuck's sake, stop using Bitcoin Fog! Read all the warnings on them before you give them your money.

Check my previous submitted thread. I got my money back after long ass delays.

If I were you, based off the explanation of how you lost your BTC, I would change the handle I operate under on DNMs and I would use a different password as well.

Also, while my BTC was on a major delay, I checked the block explorer and it appeared as if it was withdrawn from the wallet it was supposed to be in, but then it later returned after the delay.

Stay away from Bitcoin Fog from now on, at least until they can get these delay issues sorted.

Bitcoin Fog has had a bad record for years. Better use Helix. If you have a Grams account, you can also have everything that goes to your wallet auto-tumbled.

Bitcoinfog was probably the most-trusted bitcoin service on the darknet, it used its credibility to recommend Agora when it was starting up.

If Agora had scammed it would have been very damaging for Bitcoinfog. However, bitcoinfog's judgement turned out to be spot-on. Bitcoinfog's name is now platinum, and you will rarely hear of any issues around it, ever.

Search the internet for a bad word. The only ones are from unverified accounts here. If you hear something often enough, it becomes gospel, but if you told anyone who doesn't use reddit/DNM that "bitcoinfog is a selective scammer" they will look at you like you're crazy.

If you're sending bitcoin from coinbase to your abraxas wallet, you see in walletexplorer that darknetmarket wallets have the name of the marketplace next to them! Thats why coinbase objects when you send money there directly.

If you want to put a curtain between the exchange and the drugs, Grams Helix is good enough, and nice and quick. Bitcoinfog is more like offshore holding companies in the Seychelles. Vendors may be getting scammed, but we would never hear about it here.
