Seems that whats it lacking most right now is the trust the previous one had - personally if i had any intention of using it, i would wait a long while before doing that.

Well that's the point isn't it? Dark Markets aren't selling goods, they're selling trust. It's nothing more than a container where both buyer and seller can establish a reputation and therefore engage in anonymous transactions that would not be possible without that trust/reputation.
That's why any market will have to prove itself for months. The bad sellers have to be weeded out, the buyers have to establish some sort of history and only then can the market be useful.
