Why do you let your money get stolen?

Okay this has been bugging me for a bit but why do some of you leave money in your wallets, just letting it sit and wait to get stolen? You always complain about losing money out of your wallet. Why do you leave it there in the first place. When I intend to buy things of the DNMs I will transfer the amount that I need into my wallet then buy what I intend to buy right away, that way I don't risk the BTC being stolen right out of my account. I can understand money in escrow being lost but that's different.

Some have too much confidence in markets. Unless you suffered the heartache of losing $ in an exit scam you might not realise the risk.

Unfortunately some of us need to learn the hard way. Even taking all the precautions you can still get bait and switched or shipped a bag of rice, there are dangers everywhere.

TR changed my PIN one week before going down and the waiting time to reset it was one week. Don't know if I really forgot it or if they changed it. First time I lost money in something like this.

Some think marketplaces are wallets. They can't be bothered with transferring the money, it takes time and effort. They've already bought bitcoins, send it directly to the market, to minimize the fees, and returning it is just too much work and maybe they'll need it later.

I remember when TradeRoute was initially down a vendor saying that he had $30,000 of BTC on his account. I don't know how people are this dumb.

I think most people here on the Darknet especially here on Reddit are not really the typical computer nerds we think they are.

Taking the coins back off the market and keeping them in a secured wallet is stressful and they put too much trust in the Market being reliable because they are used to companies like E-Bay and Amazon.

I keep around £5 in Dream or whatever my main market is at the time to cover tx fees and price fluctuations during confirmation.

dream has a 0.0005btc tax and I cant be fucked to lose that money. if it goes away then I wont miss it but that amount is enough to pay for my shipping

tip your vendors!

I still am heartbroken over my $3 lost in the AB raid.

Truth. To be honest, I don't even let my money sit in escrow. I don't use vendors who I don't trust or at least thoroughly research best I can, so I literally FE on every order. That way if something were to happen, the vendor already got paid and I would expect a higher chance of still receiving that pack. Not to mention the fact that I know it's very much appreciated, and I have no problems in doing so.
