I think its crazy how getting drunk after work is socially acceptable but if I wanna drop some tabs of acid or do some mdma that is somehow a million times worse

For real though... it's just ridiculous how far of an extent the government has gone to force people to believe how 'bad' meth is.
The most hilarious thing about the governments portrayal of 'evil meth' is all the blatant lies about 'the evil meth will make ur teeth fall out dun do it' when anyone with half a brain could figure out the truth themselves - the only people that ever happens to is nasty, dirty fucks who don't take care of themselves and have god awful hygiene habits.... these people would have nasty rotten teeth regardless if they did meth or not. Using meth dehydrates you... creating less saliva in your mouth, which is your bodies natural way to keep your mouth clean and kill bacteria. If you don't keep yourself hydrated, and don't brush your teeth or clean yourself in general.... then yes, of course your teeth will look like shit - that has nothing to do with meth in reality. The dehydration + horrible hygiene = yes! your teeth will look nasty and fall out. Various doctors/dentists/etc. have blatantly said that the ingredients in meth do not do anything to effect your teeth. The government did a nice job though of finding some dirty hillbillies out in the boonies smoking their garbage quality straight up crank to use to portray what happens to any person who does meth! lmao I know people who have been smoking meth for 10+ years who have perfect, nicer looking teeth than most people. And any person could see them walking down the street an because of what the government pushes so hard about the 'evil meth' that it would be impossible for them to believe that a totally normal, healthy looking person with a normal job could possibly have been doing meth for that long. (obviously I'm not saying meth is something I advise being a great idea to do..... it just so far from the horrible evil demon drug belief that is shoved so far down everyone's throat)
/ end rant
tl;dr
smoke satan, hail meth.

Meth Is Life....Bahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!

Meth is not at all addicting in the way that Heroin or Benzo's are. Quitting or getting off is just HELL psychologically with certain all-be-it minor (comparitavely speaking) physical symptoms.
Meth got it's bad wrap when the media blasted some cop's (in need of attention) research into repeating offenders and the dramatic decline in their physical health correlating with meth. This is that famous mug shot poster entitled "faces of meth".
Every drug has it's hardcore abusers...meth is the most powerful stimulant (that I know of) so when you go hard on something of that status....ya you get fried out.
What isn't talked about is the responsible users (i.e. wallstreet Billionaires (with a b)).
The secret in all things is balance.
You can play with fire and not get burned, just use caution.
Respect goes a long way ;-)

Sadly it will take a long time to undo decades of government and media propaganda.

I'm prescribed methamphetamine for ADHD. Yes, they actually make a legal version. The brand name is Desoxyn (generic name: methamphetamine HCl).

I think the disconnect between Addy and Meth isn't so much that the drugs are different, though Meth is certainly more potent, it's that street Meth is usually smoked while prescription Addy is taken orally ... any drug becomes much more addictive if the method of administration ramps the blood levels up faster. Also, the dosage for Addy is far more sane that what is commonly taken with Meth.

As a pessimist, my only worry is that this whole debate Carl Hart's loves to bring up might backfire, and instead of having lighter meth regulations we will end up without meds like adderall and vyvanse because they're literally le meth "think of the children" and all that bullshit.
Just a week ago I saw an aunt of mine posting to facebook a sensationalized article that said "ritalin is literally like giving cocaine to your kid "
Let's hope people read and rationalize more and more about this kind of stuff before vomiting their already brainwashed beliefs.

I did street meth IV for three weeks in the early 70's. Luckily a part of me realized it was gonna kill me, and I managed to stop. Unluckily, I found out 20 years later that I had contracted Hepatitis C during that three weeks. It took 3 seperate courses of daily interferon injections (each course lasting a year,) along with associated drugs, to finally get cured. The last course almost killed me, but now I'm free of the Hep C virus. Four years post-cure, I'm almost recovered from the medicine. Happily, I understand that nowadays you can just take a pill every day for six weeks and the Hep C is gone. May you fare better than I.

I was excited for the title. Then I saw the website. Still, I gave the first few paragraphs a read. I agree with the part about adderal. I was at my best in dealing drugs when I had a legal script for the stuff. I could probably get it back. But anyways does he turn back around into talking about how adderal is over prescribed?
I did some research on the money made from addies and the money spent on them by pharmaceuticals.. It is amazing. It is something like on addies alone they made a billion since 96.. They get prescribed younger and there are more "symptoms" to look for. It is scary as shit.

Seeing how I have attention deficit disorder I immediately assumed this said Adderall vs. Math and I was pretty excited to read this but now I'm pretty disappointed because I don't like to smoke meth

When they increased the amount of cash, they chose cash over A HIT of meth. Yeah, because $20 can buy you more than a hit of meth, maybe?
[1 Points] SlanderousFall:
As someone who used to do meth this made so much sense!

I saw Carl Hart give a speech at my university. While I was already aware of most of the information he put forth in the speech I was glad he was out there clearing up misconceptions. That's a huge part of a larger reformation
[1 Points] fartcomposer:
if meth is used responsibly (taken orally, about 1/8th of the mg you would take of adderall with no redosing during the day) it works much better in my opinion.
The habit forming comes in when you smoke or inject it, becuase then you get a huge euphoric rush, which is NOT what you want, because its the rush and high that you get addicted to. But at a low dose below a euphoric threshold its basically a cleaner adderall (if its pure MA)

TIL meth isn't the demonic horror the government wants us to believe, and the war on drugs is stupid. Who knew.
