Ending Rumors About Middle Earth

Ending rumors about Middle-Earth Created: 30 May 2015 18:09 Middle-Earth was down whilst we made defense against this DoS attack, which we still under attack from. Many people have heard rumors and bullshit, this post is to end some dumb rumors about Middle-Earth.

The JS, the DoS attack and the reddit:

So as you noticed we were (and still are) under a SERIOUS attack, other markets were hit but we hit really fucking hard. Plus LE trying to start rumors in reddit too. Psychologically messing with users about our security etc. We have been up for a year now with no hacks ever. So LE now trying something else- psychologically attacking the community via reddit scaremongering. The DoS attack can be stopped using JS as you can see. We are working while still under attack:)

THIS PART IS REALLY IMPORTANT!!!!!: YOU ONLY NEED JS ON THE LOGIN PAGE (to protect against the DoS attack) AFTER LOGIN YOU CAN SWITCH JS OFF AGAIN IF YOU LIKE.

This is about JS usage and safety:

JS exploits, XSS attacks, SQL injections and all other exploits do not work at Middle-Earth. We made a JS site because we have enough knowledge and skill to implement it safely. We can back up our claims with FACTS. Have we been hacked? No. Has our JS been exploited? No. Have we ever had any problems to speak of EVER IN A YEAR? NO. NOTHING. Take into account that we publicly announced the staff here use JS mode 9 months ago. Needless to say, every day since we opened hackers and LE try to exploit it. We see them doing it daily. IT DOESN'T WORK. Almost a year of being live and no hacks, no boogeyman, no exploits. You need to understand who knows what and who understands what. WE understand Tor and security to a higher level than almost anybody. Tor security is our specialty. We have been involved in the past with the actual programming+development phases of Tor security. People claim to "know this" and "know that". What do they know? Really! What do all these JS "expert" doom-mongers KNOW? Can they build a marketplace? No. Can they prove their claims and exploit the Middle Earth's JS? No. Can they build security systems? No. Can they invent new security systems that have zero reference material as they are entirely customized? No. Can these "experts" build a market that contains JS in Tor and implement it/run it safely and never have it fucked with once EVEN THOUGH EVERYONE SAYS THEY CAN FUCK WITH IT? No :) We can. And we have. We back up our claims with results and facts. People are obsessed by this JS issue. We built an entirely new non-JS site just because nobody would open their eyes to the fundamentals of programming. If you build ANYTHING incorrectly in a market, you're FUCKED. Not just JS. Think of building a market like building a house. People think is secure house, strong doors, strong framework, strong foundations blablabla. But if there is even 1 door, strong or no, lock or no, there is a way in, a weakness, a security hole to exploit (JS or anything else! Not just JS!!!). What we did with ME is more like building a perfectly spherical titanium bubble with no doors or openings anywhere. You CANNOT embed codes into Middle-Earth. So you cannot exploit JS. What more can I say??? Just because some pedophile asshole in Ireland got arrested through 3rd party Freedom Hosting (badly programed garbage) like that does not mean JS is unsafe. EVERYTHING is unsafe when programming a market- unless you program properly. Not just JS!!! Please all try to understand this. The JS boogeyman isn't real. Plus somebody would have fucked us by now, they did Operation Onymous but decide to leave Middle Earth alone? NO! People try to hack us every day, that is a fact. They get nowhere ever, that is also fact. The "I know this and I know that" people do not know what they are talking about and are NOT experts in TOR security. This is not an arrogant rant about our skill, it is answering the question you all ask about JS. Nobody listened to Columbus when he said the world was not flat, he proved them wrong too by actually doing it. That is what we are doing. Why did we build it in the first place? Because it makes the smoothest most linear user-friendly interface ever in any marketplace. We want our users to have the best, that's why. If any of you ever try it, you will agree it is bad-ass. The staff here only use the JS version :) Explore the site and enjoy it. Let the experts worry about the site's safety, it's our specialty, and so far we have proven competent on all matters regarding security. We are also trusted status in deepdotweb.com because of our excellent conduct over the last year.

Safety of users always comes first, this is Middle-Earth, we are the geeks, you all know us by now, we are here for the people and for the cause and for the site and for the community. We want to be the biggest eBay monster-sized market there is and intend to work for earn that right, these rumors and misinformation... they are just rumors and misinformation. No need listen this bullshit. Middle-Earth is working and will continue to work.

WE NEVER LET YOU DOWN BEFORE AND WE NOT GOING START NOW!!!

Middle-Earth is here to stay no matter what reddit users claim to know.

Hope this helps to end some rumors and put your minds in relax.

Thanks for your continued support.

/u/MLP_Is_my_Opsec , I hear you know a lot about DNM security. So my question to you:

JS exploits, XSS attacks, SQL injections and all other exploits do not work at Middle-Earth.

Is this statement true?

I understand what he's saying, but he completely misses the point, that having users accoustomed to having JS enabled is a "very bad thing (TM)"... Then again, if his site is seized and LEO puts in the JS exploit, at that point he prob does not give a fuck about his users.

Stop lying, i hacked your database and it is proven. So proven that you russian elves are ignoring me.

Some users were already doxxed and are about to have problems, i will doxx the bulk if don't get paid in the deadline. If you don't pay 10 bitcoins you will be sending most of your user base to a criminal court.

It is your decision to do or to not do it to your own users.
