Breaking Bad in Bavaria: Former Silk Road Vendor "Pfandleiher" talks to biggest German weekly "Der Spiegel"

The article in Monday's print magazine and online (behind paywall) here: https://daily.spiegel.de/meinAbend/spiegel-tv-magazin-ueber-die-silkroad-wie-drogendealer-im-darknet-geschaefte-machen-a-59893 (Sorry I don't have access to the online version)

Accompanying video in German here (no paywall): http://video.spiegel.de/flash/65/47/1827456_1024x576_H264_HQ.mp4

The guy got sentenced to 7.5 years in prison in 2013, however got released early a few months ago after completing addiction therapy

Prosecutors claim that he made overall revenues of about 5.4m Euro by selling kilos of MDMA / Cocaine / Speed (Street Amphetamine), all sourced from the Netherlands, whereas the vendor claims that even in his best times, he made max 120k per month. Profit is estimated at 250k overall (leaving him with income tax fraud of exactly 82 462 Euro)

He was busted after meeting customers IRL who talked to the police. They also found his fingerprints on orders made undercover by the Bavarian police on Silk Road. (i.e. overall really bad OpSec)

He has a job now (working in a plastics factory) as well as a wife and young child.

Additionally, there will be a TV documentary about him on Sunday on a major German TV channel. Let's see if we will get further insights then.

(SPIEGEL TV Magazin: Sonntag, 22.10 Uhr, RTL)

if he is out this early he must have cooperated, also doing a TV docu now points in this direction (there is no going back for him)
