Vendors of reddit, Do you take any precautions to avoid your DNA on products?

Hi Reddit,

Say for example a very large order ($10k+ etc) of product was seized by LE, They could put their forensics team on it to search for any fingerprints/DNA on the packaging to help identify the vendor right?

Is it already standard practice for some vendors to either have a worker package everything, or do you wear hairnets/latex gloves to avoid this? Or is there other methods taken

Maybe I've been smoking too much but can never be too careful when it comes to opsec

No one who is doing $10K+ deals through the mail is NOT going to wear latex gloves and hairnets IMHO.

I have 2 bars from barbarossa with an actual HAIR inside the bar. Like not in the packaging, not in the stealth, inside the fucking xanax bar.

Hi, I'm a vendor. I chose not to post this from my actual vendor account, don't want to give LE any clues about me....

DNA is not reliable and its finally beginning to fall out of favor. Not saying you cant be convicted on it, but if the only evidence they have is dna, well, its not looking so good for them.

Fingerprints are not reliable either but are still pretended to be reliable by the system, so yeah, you better not get prints on that shit. Gloves bitch. It's fucking hard to. Shipping tape is the big problem. It will rip latex gloves, etc. I use a paint stirrer stick to help out. I use tweezers to put stamps on envelopes.

Fingerprints also change over time, so if they have an old set of them, they might not actually match you anymore. Fucked up, eh?

Hair is a tough one. What if you have an unnatural hair color, like purple, pink, or yellow like that quantik usa chick? If they find THAT in a pack, umm.....yeah, not a lot of people have these hair colors.... But, what if someone planted your hair in a pack? What if i stole someone elses hair, and put it in packs randomly? If i get busted, how can they prove that i had anything to do with vending?

Also, is your DNA on file anywhere? It shouldn't be. Mine isn't. They're not just going to link you to your DNA without finding you. They have to collect a sample of your DNA somehow. That requires you. They can trick you into giving it to them, for example, interrogating you and giving you a drink or a cigarette and you leaving it with them...... But, it's not like they are going to find DNA in my pack and be like, oh, hey, thats vendor_anon! Takes more work than that.

I feel that I can't be easily busted when I ship out packs. I feel like I could mail this shit to the whitehouse or a police station and not be busted. Any order could be an attempt to profile me, bust me. Stealth is changed up on a weekly basis, shipping locations, well, i dont want to give anything away, but good fucking luck agent shrader from the DEA.

I feel that my customers are more at danger than I am. They are the ones with their address on the pack, after all. Many of my stealth precautions are to protect the customer, and not myself. I could put stamps on a brick of cocaine and ship it and not get caught. I wouldn't want to subject anyone to having to receive that, though.

I'm a reseller. my biggest fear is being caught receiving bulk orders. My house is fucking spotless when that pack arrives. I'm a polydrug abuser, but I'm not an addict. I dont have any kind of drugs or paraphenalia in my house from the moment an order is placed until an undisclosed time period after the pack is opened. I'm not expecting that pack to arrive, I have no idea why anyone has ordered drugs to my ????, plausible deniability motherfucker.

I do have an accomplice, it is the only person in the entire universe I trust, at times we sit together and have a romantic night of shipping drugs. Its kind of entertaining.

One last thing: My PGP key expires every X months, i randomly pick an amount of months every time I expire a key. I sign a message letting my customers know its still the same person, and when a key expires, i delete it, permanently. I do save my customers addresses until packs land, and I delete them after they land, but what if the market doesnt really delete messages? I vended on EIC, its quite possible that market was compromised by LE. In a couple of months, that key will be deleted, and they'll never ever in a million years find out the contents of those encrypted messages. You can't make me decrypt them when I don't have the private keys. Fuck you, Hank!

Also, I paid cash for my printer, didnt use a rewards card to buy it, and i made sure it doesnt print dots. Fuck the dots.

Not sure how many old timers here remember but there was a post way back where someone got a pack from bungee or stealth bomber with a huge booger inside it.

[6 Points] Joepr0dder:

I wear this. It takes several hours of prep time, but it keeps my DNA contained.

I also collect hair from random people and put a small snip in each package. I've quite a large stash now.

[4 Points] ArcticAG:

We do, that being said - if the justice department is wasting resources on DNA testing for drug offenses with such a huge backlog of rape DNA tests then shame on them.

latex gloves (and i would say hairnets as well) are pretty crucial in anonymously shipping large amounts of narcotics around the world. keep anything they have a database for off the fucking pack bro

[1 Points] AlpraKing:

Regardless of the substance or the level of your operation, you should always take proper precaution not to leave a "signature" inside your packs. If you don't have a criminal record, it should cause limited damage even if LE finds your DNA. However, if you do have a criminal record, and just won't take the proper precautions sto avoid your bodily substances falling into your product, you will (and deserve to) be busted.

adding to the discussion, hollywood always gets it wrong. DNA analysis can and do take up MONTHS of active research with expensive gear and people, with more false positives than not. You need a DNA database to link someone with, and what fucking vendor worth his shit is going all like "yeah, a DNA database run by the same people that Im trying to avoid and that can link me to my crimes if shit goes south? sign me the fuck up".
