Is running Whonix ontop of Qubes better than using Tails? Will it prevent possible real IP address leaks

I'm debating whether or not I should stick to just using tails to browse darknet markets, or if running Whonix over Qubes would be the most secure.

I'm inclined to think that running Whonix over Qubes to browse darknet markets would be much safer than just using Tails, but could it prevent leakage of your real ip address?

It's alottttt better just a little harder to use, installing electrum has been a pain for me. But it's def worth the work to get it going

So all I"ll need to do is install Whonix template VM in qubes, start it up, and then use TBB through whonix?

[1 Points] Furanyl:

Leakage with Whonix+Qubes is impossible unless you misconfigure it or a vulnerability is exploited, but the latter is a possibility for both OSes.

So it's better because of convinience of having an installed OS, but security-wise it's the exact same.

Does Wonix have a keypass program like tails does?

[1 Points] qubesfan:

It's almost impossible to overstate how vastly superior Qubes-Whonix is to Tails.

Make sure your hardware supports the full functionality of Qubes, and study the documentation thoroughly. Compartmentalize everything.
