Do the majority of the illegal drugs in the USA come from Mexico?

I am sure everyone has heard that drugs are flowing through the Mexican-American border all the time. I have heard specifically among some of the candidates for the President that the heroin problem in New Hampshire has to do with such a large amount of heroin coming from Mexico.

Of course I have heard of mexican brick weed, but can't say I have come across it let alone anyone looking for it frequently anymore. From my experience with a few exceptions most of my drugs are from the USA, but I am mostly into marijuana. I would suspect most things are produced in the USA and if not I wouldn't suspect Mexico as the leader in illegal drug imports to the USA. Do you find that Mexico supplies america with a significant amount of illegal drugs? Any drugs in particular?

This is a serious question, but any input is welcomed and appreciated. Thanks! :)

I'm not sure about the entire US but the best coke plug i've ever had didn't speak a lick of english and was from Mexico. It was awesome, my spanish was pretty solid so it wasn't a big deal. We'd meet up at the local mexican food place his mom owned and he'd get us a round of margaritas. We even joined a fucking bowling team together, this dude was a once in a lifetime plug. Then he got arrested like everyone else who sells coke :( Pouring one out for u Manny

I'm alittle hazy on the exact statistic, but I have read that 90% of the cocaine that enters the united states crosses over the mexican border. Mexican cartels initially acted as couriers for Columbian cartels, so the Columbians could avoid extradition, but they gradually started to outshine and outearn their Colombian counterparts, than started harvesting and processing cocoa leaves domestically and becoming a fierce contender to the Columbians for cocaine dominance (I believe as of now Bolivia produces the most followed by Columbia then Mexico)

In terms of heroin, the Mexicans started to process and produce more poppy after various Marijuana decriminalization bills passed in the U.S. to make up for the lost profit of their brick weed(and to supply America's Opiate epidemic) I also believe Mexican Cartels have progressed from making their traditional Black Tar into producing and processing "China White" heroin. I'm pretty sure they are the worlds 3rd largest poppy and heroin producers/processors.

I can speak with as much certainty in regards to Meth, but the Mexican cartels have capitalized on their country corruption in relation to their ease of importing precursors. They have largely muscled in on the markets of American hicks making homemade shake and bake meth, And have many "SuperLabs" throughout the country. (supposedly cartels in the south and in central mexico like the state of Michoacan push out alotta meth).

I have also heard that South American drug producers have been stepping up their capabilities in regards to MDMA production, but im not sure how this relates to the U.S.-Mexico border-I believe the Israeli Mafia, the Russian Mafia, Canada, and the Netherlands are still our largest providers.

and Mexican Brick weed is everywhere

of your interested in the subject further check out the website InSightCrime.Org - they do amazing work also check out the book El Narco: Inside Mexicos Crimal Insurgency to understand the country cartel dynamic and the tight grip they hold their country in

sorry for the wall of text with shitty grammar

I hear a fuck ton of crap pressed weed still tops the list of drugs crossing from mexico... I have no idea who the fuck still buys that shit even if it's dirt cheap. Also a huge quantity of meth, like 90 percent of all American meth is from mexico. Idk about herion but I know Mexico is a source for smuggling it as well as production. I doubt any mdma or LSD comes from our friends to the south. My 2 cents correct me where I'm wrong

most of the shitty ones do (tar heroin, mexican meth, brick weed)

One of the negative side effects from the legalization of marijuana across the US is that it's not as profitable for the cartels anymore so they are now planting poppy fields where they used to have large scale marijuana grows. This, in turn, is leading to the rise of cheaper heroin in the US. The heroin problem itself in the US I don't believe is really caused by this but it isn't helping. The problem started with the ease of obtaining prescription opiates in the US over the last decade or 2 they've been being prescribed like candy here, all varieties. If you ask heroin addicts in the US how they got into it, I am confident 90%> will tell you they started on prescription opiates. Doctors have stopped, or so I heard, prescribing them like they were. But when you hear politicians blame Mexico for the issue, that is mostly bullshit. They will never say the real reason was our own fault.

I believe the Mexicans Nationals are also getting into smaller scale stateside distribution in more rural areas where heroin wasn't as readily available in the past. i cant find the exact article but this one illustrates the point enough: http://www.insightcrime.org/news-analysis/do-mexico-cartels-control-the-us-heroin-trade

I know for dope they say that east coast heroin is from Asia and west coast from mexico

Good weed comes froms Canada, or at least it did before several states legalized or decriminalized it within the US. Now the main export drug wise from Canada seems to be Xanax. Mexicans have access to everything. The cartels run everything from drugs, military, police and govt in Mexico. Some of their product comes from other Central/South American sources but its all controlled by Mexican cartels. I for one would never order anything from the US cause I am confident it originated in Mexico. The only exceptions to this would be pharmaceuticals. They are likely sourced form corrupt docs/pharmacists within the US. Personally I'd rather order from Europe or Asia before considering the US based on the above. Last thing I want is some cartel asshole blackmailing me...

I'm not sure if a "majority" of drugs come in from Mexico, but we definitely get the most drugs from Mexico compared to any other country.

[1 Points] NavajoHills:

The most/best weed comes from American growers, and for a while Americans made a lot of meth, but the cartels took over that, heroin and always had cocaine. I would assume a big quantity of Benzos and non heroin opiates come from the US, while RCs come from the Eastern hemisphere and psychedelics, I'm not to sure, I know most DMT is made in America.

I bet more drugs are coming from China at this point.

Most of the coke is from the CIA
