Just a little background first, I've been a lurker on /r/DM and a user of the markets since back to Sheep about 2 years ago. Orders >100 times successfully all for personal use. I've never seen this before on my USPS tracking and it has me sketched so I was hoping someone might be able to provide any insight about similar experiences.
Tracking supplied from a vendor only says the following: -Accepted at facility -Departed facility -Arrived at facility (3 days later, this was 2 day priority) -Delivered
I have not received the package, and it says it was delivered in the early AM which is weird because my mail always comes in the afternoon. I also received a package today from a legit website delivered at the normal time. I spoke with that mailman (In my area we have new mailman every day, it's rarely the same one) and he said he's the second guy to come out and the first guy most likely delivered the package but to call the local office.
The reason this tracking has me sketched is that I've never seen tracking like this before. It doesn't mention anything about sorting, doesn't even say out for delivery or anything.
Has anyone ever seen this?
I'd say this may just be cognitive bias at work. Your attention is laser-focused on this one shipment that you're worried about, whereas all the other times that a package has been delivered by the early mail carrier you never even noticed or thought twice about it - hell, maybe you didn't even notice at all if you only picked it up later in the day, anyway.
