Why? People are saying he's a shitty mod, but I've seen nothing to back that up. Can anyone cite a thread or something?
[7 Points] drugthrowaway29:
If anything is to be gathered from the random comments we've gotten from mods on duty, it would seem that significant decisions are made by some mods without a significant portion of mods being present. This along with other recent comments and events are a bit alarming, even with the things we've all experienced.
Is this the way things are done?
Does /u/IGetDankShit possess the correct amount of authority and power here in relation to his demonstrated ability to manage it?
Can we get a statement regarding the clusterfuck of a modpost we had? Something intended to be so simple and helpful to everyone has been made so complicated. There are many reasons, to be sure.
Does our discussion of any of this matter to anybody on the mod team?

Dank has been a great asset to the community for years, probably longer than most of you have even known about this. He is one of the most qualified people to be a mod, besides gwern or maybe galaxy.
Dank is being too strict? That's probably because this subreddit is filled with a bunch of idiots that apparentely need to have their hands held. Most of the complaints seem to be coming from those people anyway.
Whatever happened between Infinite and the modteam has been resolved, drop it.

I veto.

People, just read through this OP's shitty posting-history, and you'll see he most likely made this thread only to cause more drama and to do what he can the best: troll.

I vote against.
[3 Points] drugthrowaway29:
I support this.
I'm not the most active member of the community as far as posting and contributing, but I am a very active follower and participant in the markets and the drama that surrounds them that. Like many communities of like minded individuals, there's a lot of different types of people here.
With the things that have happened (to the public's knowledge, as far as our communities and the involved people/forums) the removal of /u/InfinitelyOutThere and collection of positive things said regarding him happening at the same time as complaints seem to accumulate against /u/IGetDankShit without anything being addressed. I would hope that this community, as well as the team of moderators, can discuss matters like this openly and have them both addressed and resolved in a way that can at the very least be understood by the people that it affects.
This community is large, and it isn't going anywhere. A sub split would be messy and I really doubt this is something that would come to that, since it seems to have been noticed by enough members to have been brought up to the top for public discussion by now.
I don't know the exact details of the two mods being mentioned the past few days, but I have been very closely tuned in to this subreddit in particular since Evo went down. I ended up becoming pretty familiar with any posts that stuck around for more than any few hour period (with the exception of things removed when I was asleep that were not made a public issue.)
All issues publicly discussed should be subject to proper OPSEC and respect given to Reddit admins and their ToS of are the utmost importance. But the discussion itself should be acknowledged quickly by the mod team, and responded to and dealt with in whatever way the mod team (or should it be the community?) feels best benefits all honest parties involved.

I was about to make the same post, yesterday, but he made things right, he recognized his own mistakes and put Infinite back on the mod team, if he fucks up again I'm all for it.
Also it would be nice if the mod team would ask us first before removing one of the mods that have been here for a while and that the community likes. When they need money for SSBD they make like 5 threads about it, when they removed Infinite there were 0 threads from the mod team, everything was on the hush hush, that was slimey.
[-1 Points] VertosDaddy:
I have heard that IGDS is a fantastic mod and works his ass off on the subreddit but responses like this are the reason I would like to see him go, or at least have a talking to.
[-1 Points] vcBreakableMinibus:
not just him all those corrupt fuckers they're all pieces of shit and dont allow alternatives unless that marketplace pays them
[-2 Points] SilkyKush:
I vote against. I don't really know the guy and I can't jump at voting to kick him out!
Just what this sub needs. More childish and shitty character assassinations from fuckheads who could do no better with a year's intensive training.
Howzabout we leave the lad alone to do his thankless job while you reap enough benefits to have the luxury to judge from your fucking lounge.
You may not like it, but the OP demonstrates perfectly the Batman logic at play. IGDS may not be the mod you want, but he's sure as shit the mod you need.
