Adverse First-Hand Effects of Modafinil

I'm curious to begin dabbling with Modafinil strictly for work/deadline purposes. I've read a lot of good & some bad, mostly from online articles. However, I think we all know that some of these sites tend to exaggerate slightly to advocate against drug use.

I'm curious to hear the communities take on it, short-term but most importantly to me long-term effects.

I appreciate any & all insight, thank you!

I felt no more motivation on it then before. I just couldn't sleep.

Took 200mg of modafinil (modalert from india) this morning before class.

It's honestly like an 8-12 hour cup of coffee, but with no jitters or anxiety. Just wide awake and alert.

Also it completely kills my appetite to the point where I need to force myself to eat.

edit: it's important to be objective when receiving word-of-mouth information from individuals. There are tips and useful assistance from our community but it is imperative you do your own proper research. Such as the articles posted in this thread. There are plenty of idiots in this world, don't let hearsay blur your own judgement.

I just remember one other first hand "adverse" effect. It made me a bit more.. aggressive. For instance, I often disagree with my boss on how to approach projects, etc. Normally I'm pretty passive and just suck it up. On modafinil, I found myself speaking up when I disagreed and being somewhat argumentative. This could be a pro or a con depending on the situation but it's something to look for.

Been using it for a few months now. No adverse side effects. Not as effective as amphetamines but tends to do the trick for me.

When I took it I experienced really uncomfortable tension headaches. It felt like my skull was trying to burst out of my skin. Turned me off of trying it again.

[3 Points] SgtFaecesProcessor:

Short term I didn't like it much. I found it gave me pins and needles and made me piss a lot. I think they keyword is probably alertness rather than concentration or focus. Honestly in terms of productivity I want to try 2-FA.

Try L-Theanine and Caffeine before you try modafinil. It's safer and people report effects that are as good as reports of modafinil. Both have lots of people that get nothing from it.

[2 Points] netsgnut:

I take it every now and then. I like the effects, but my main problem with it is that it gives me the runs every time - enough so that I really only take it when I'm feeling a strong need for a push. Drinking a lot of water helps, but I've gotten to the point where I just automatically down some Immodium along with it when I take it.

I'm curious to try it but I can't find any vendors (trying to stay domestic). I see GWL offers Armodafinil but I haven't done my due diligence on similarities/differences/side effects between the two.

Anyone have experience w/ both?

Used to take 3-400 mg modafinil daily. I stopped because my stomach couldn't take it. I liked the effect except for gassy intestines, stomach cramps, and eventually hemorrhoids. I switched to Ritalin Uno 40 mg once or twice daily and my tummy likes me better for it. I would, however, prefer the Modafinil if it wasn't for that

[2 Points] XeroxSnowman:

How often do you plan on taking Modafinil? I have been taking it about once a week for 2 years now and do not notice any adverse side effects on my health.

If you force yourself to sleep... You will have the most vivid lucid dreams ever..

It's scary as shit until you realize it's a lucid dream and then it turns out pretty fucking cool.... Until you realized you wasted a good 6-8hours lucid dreaming.

For the first 30mim...whatever you do, don't sleep.

[2 Points] JasonLeeH:

I won't use a throwaway account here because I have a RX for it.

I went to the ER twice due to panic attacks caused by it. It also dries my eyes out and gives me irritated skin if I take 200mg daily for a few days.

[2 Points] CarlsPie:

In my experience, it is very effective, much more so than aderall, and haven't come across any side effects whatsoever. It can make it effortless to stay up, but at the same time I haven't had problems going to sleep on it.

Purpose: Studying in crucial moments

I've done approx ~800mg -/+ of modafinil within a day, yes I was awake for 117 hours.

It's cool but I WILL not ever recommend it nor do I plan on doing it again. I could've died due to overdose of mod (low bf%). This was a while ago.

Honestly you can't really focus, you shake, you end up procrastinating, you're better off sticking to a the normal dose of 100-200mg, I prefer 100mg when needed, it's easier to control and it's more beneficial.

It's definitely not worth doing a high dose because I couldn't sleep for days, my body didn't have much rest so I hallucinated (no it was not fun), short temper due to lack of sleep, excessive/occasional jittering of hands and/or body, temperature effects you more.

When I came off (after ~117hours after consumption) I crashed for two-four+ days straight.

Edit:

With mod and probably other adafinils there's a rare chance of getting The disease, Stevens-Johnson syndrome (SJS).

You guys have been awesome! Couldn't have asked for a better response.

Last question: Where do I get my hands on this stuff & from who? Clearnet? Darknet?
