Does anybody know what actually happened to sigaint?

My gut tells me it was seized by LE and all messages, bitcoin seeds, or pgp keys you might have stored in a sigaint account is potentially compromised.

This is the perfect example as to why it is important to always use PGP to encrypt sensitive communications even if you trust your mail provider.

No one knows but your advice is sound.

Freedom Hosting II was hacked about a week before Sigaint disappeared, so I wasn't that.

TheHub went down the same day and never came back, just like Sigaint. The Sigaint admin used to post on TheHub, so it had something to do with that. Perhaps they (Sigaint and TheHub) were on the same server?

Nobody who knows what happened has spoken up.

People are storing bitcoin seeds and pgp keys on an email service? Da fuck. I don't let that shit anywhere near a web browser.
