The vast difference between the color-changing home tests and Energy Control

After reading posts and comments about a certain vendor distributing fent strips with his orders as "proof" of the product's purity, I believe it's important for people to understand that at-home tests like Marquis, Mandeline, Fent strips etc. cannot actually inform you about what is contained in your sample of drugs.

Contrary to popular belief, the chemical reagent tests available to the general population that indicate a result using a change of color, such as fent strips, marquis and mandeline reagents, can only inform you that a certain molecule is NOT present in a sample if it does not react. This type of test cannot tell you with any certainty that a certain molecule IS present in a sample. Even if you have, for example, a positive marquis test for your sample of MDMA (purple to black), that doesn't actually mean MDMA is in your sample. It just means that something in your sample reacted with the marquis reagent the same way MDMA does.

Energy Control uses analytical tests like mass spectromony and liquid chromatography to definitively determine the structure of the molecules in your sample and compare that to a massive library of known chemicals and psychoactive drugs. Because of this difference in testing method, they are able to positively confirm the presence of a given molecule in your sample. In addition to telling you what is in your sample (qualitative test) they also tell you the ratio of the different molecules in your sample (quantitative test). They are the most informative testing service available to the general public.

For example, a negative fent strip test is only evidence that your sample doesn't contain the specific analogues of fent that the strip tests for. But it is NOT evidence that your sample contains zero fentanyl analogues. Similarly, a positive fent strip test is not proof that a sample contains fentanyl. It just means that your sample contains a chemical that reacts with the fent strip's reagent the same way fentanyl does.

Likewise, positive test for heroin does not mean your sample contains only heroin. It means that your sample contains at least one chemical that reacted with the reagent the same way heroin would.

There is no substitute for getting your drugs properly tested by a lab like Energy Control, especially if you are distributing them in any quantity to other people.

That post is why I never bothered to buy any at-home tests. It's garbage and unreliable for the very reasons mentioned above.

Doxx,

Off topic here, but as a former vendor, what precautions did you take when packing orders to keep anything like fingerprints, hair, or DNA from finding its way into the hands of LE.

Just a casual fire here however if I was vending I would assume that every order was placed or would be intercepted by LE and act accordingly.

Except for the fact that EC is an off brand, b-rate Mickey Mouse operation that regularly shits the bed and doesn’t catch/acknowledge/rectify their errors until several end users have already become suspicious and gotten together to question their results.
