Surely letting them in makes them less suspicious of you? If you dont let them in you look more guilty.
Opsec - If your house is clean, why not let the police in?

So many people get busted or fucked in court because they think talking to the police or cooperating when they are not legally obligated to do so will somehow engender compassion in law enforcement and clear up what is clearly a "simple misunderstanding".
All you can possibly do is hurt yourself and your case. You will not help yourself. Ever. Period.
Lawyer up. Do not talk to cops.
[9 Points] otistoole:
Because the cops track mud in on their jackboots, that's why you shouldn't let them in. If you have never had your house searched by police, I can see why you would think this way, but 'If I let them in they will think I have nothing to hide' quickly turns into 'Oh fuck I let these guys in and they tore my house apart and dumped out all my cereal boxes right on the floor and slashed my mattress open with a knife and broke the mirror on the antique headboard that my parents bought us as a wedding present and they shot my dog because the cop 'feared for his life' when the dog ran away from him and now I have to pay to have his blood cleaned out of the carpets'
Well, maybe not that extreme, but when you let a cop into your house, let me tell you, they aren't going to sit at your kitchen table sipping tea and chatting.
[7 Points] Kmbzkbidhid:
I'm not answering at all. I ain't home ever.
[9 Points] wG1Zi5fT:
'Looking more guilty' is not evidence in court. When they search your house, they might find something you forgot or plant evidence. Plus I don't want cops in my house because I have the right to protection against unreasonable searches.
[6 Points] witheyat:
"Suspect immediately agreed to cooperate when I asked to search his home, despite my lack of a warrant. The house appeared to have been hurriedly cleaned, and suspect acted agitated. Upon investigation of the kitchen, I discovered a large number of plastic baggies similar to those used for packaging narcotics, along with assorted measuring devices. At this point I observed the suspect reaching quickly for his pocket, so I drew my weapon and demanded he lay on the ground. Subsequent search of the suspect's person turned up a wallet containing an abnormally large amount of cash..."

My friend, please watch this video on this very question. The guy who made it is an ex cop who now helps people who get shafted by LE. Be safe & never let the LE into your home brother :-)
[3 Points] Multisig121456765432:
I have been raided in controlled deliveries twice. Both times my house was clean. They will destroy everything. If you let them in your house they will wreck it. They cut into my mattress and broke into my wall one of the times. I spoke with a lawyer and had no recourse to get any type of compensation. They come in searching your property like the nazis looking for jews.

If your house is clean, why not let the police in?
If you're in the USA, because it's your house and you have extensive Fourth Amendment protections against that very thing, so use them as much as you can. "Secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects" -- that's a lot of detail the Founders went into, for a very good reason. Why let the police in at all, ever, if you don't have to?
[3 Points] None:
To uphold the glorious constitution your country was founded on. You do not have to consent to unlawful search and seizure. The police are there to enforce the constitution, not break it. Help them out with that a little bit by respectfully telling them as such.
"I am sorry officer, I would love to let you in, but you are here to protect the constitution. The constitution protects people from being searched with a rightful cause, and I believe it's my duty as an American to observe the constitution. I hope you understand"
[2 Points] FirstBaron:
let them home only if they have a battering ram. And they use it.
[2 Points] Youngmackey:
Fuck making things easy for them. If they want to make your life hell you might as well give them a taste of their own medicine
[2 Points] realstonned:
Cops are trained for one thing. Making you into convicted criminal. Why help someone like that?
[2 Points] 19pb4l96:
Did this once. I forgot about 1 empty coke bag. It just had residue in it but that didn't stop them from a 6 hour search and a felony.
[2 Points] Desecration29:
The burden of proof isn't on you..

Unless the cops come to the door with a warrant in hand they ain't gettin in my house...I dont care if it -20 outside,I go outside my front door and close it...if I got my keys on me I lock it.Then I will do nothing other than tell them my first name....I dont carry my wallet so no ID...it might piss em off...but there is nothing they can do about it
[0 Points] foodforthoughts1010:
Cops comes to your house, what do? Burn your house down and move to Brazil
[1 Points] ravendarkh0lme:
You have absolutely ZERO to gain by cooperating with police. ZERO, if you don't believe me you'll have a short lived career. Police are the bottom of the barrel as far as procedures goes, they can't convince the judge to give you a lesser time (that's all BS they have no power to do that). Now back to why you shouldn't let them in is because no matter what they're going to find a reason to come back and harass you again.
So let em know where they stand off the bat. And talk to them on your porch with the door shut and or locked if you have to. Fuck em, they've never helped me in any situation, money's gotten me out of my troubles. And they're trying to take that away from us.
[1 Points] LargeCockHiker:
because I don't want random strangers with guns to enter my place..?
[1 Points] shadowofashadow:
Watch don't talk to police. Even if you're innocent you can incriminate yourself. You have nothing at all to gain.
[1 Points] BlankBlapperson:
If you want to know why you should never talk to the police or let them into your house watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wXkI4t7nuc
I think you'll fully understand if you can comprehend what hes saying!
[1 Points] TessellatedDirect:
Innocent people have as much right to privacy as anyone else and you would not be out of place demanding your rights.
Don't give them anything.
[1 Points] Church_Wine:
"A cop follows a car long enough, he's gonna find a busted tail light. And even if he doesn't, he's gonna bust it himself."
[1 Points] CheekyDive:
Because they are cunts and cunts aren't welcome in my house.
[1 Points] None:
Because fuck them. If a cop ever comes to my houise I would just release the foulest smelling fart I can produce right before opening the door.
[1 Points] None:
Fuck them. Who wants assholes in their house. What good could possibly come from it.
[1 Points] None:
It's a practice of your rights brother. They need legal intent/permission to enter your home. It's like the guy standing by the freeway with a open carry handgun and a sign notifying drivers of a DUI checkpoint. They detained him for what could have been a bogus call about him waving his firearm around. No proof was presented to him during his detainment. They took his weapon and his camera from him. He simply stood there with his phone out, recording more, asking why he was being detained and if he had done anything illegal. Stand up for your rights!
[1 Points] PirateRadioSignal:
There are so many things that could happen it is absurd. Just don't do it.
[1 Points] OldschoolSR:
Jesus fukn cheez n crackers. Wtf
[1 Points] horavack:
I dont let strangers into my home.
[1 Points] hangbellybroad:
Lots of good advice. All I can add is this, if you willingly give up any of your protections under the Bill of Rights (in the USA, at least ), guess what, the government will never give your rights back, they will never say "we shouldn't have done that, we shouldn't have even asked". You will lose them forever, one incident at a time. 4th Amendment has already been stripped and gutted with extracurricular drug testing, pre-employment drug testing, fuckin NSA recording everything, if you understand what "probable cause" means and how it was designed to protect ordinary citizens from abuses of power, you will not ever give cops permission to search anything, anywhere, ever. Protect your rights.
[1 Points] Hank_Murphy:
Because it's your right as a citizen to not have some brickhead Johnny Law look through your shit, regardless if it's clean or not. Fuck people who make a career out of ruining other peoples' lives over victimless crimes.
[0 Points] AudaciousTitans:
Because they need a warrant to many ppl allowing cops free reign just because they are cops build a false standard of how things work to police and you.
Its like how a teen only watches porn and gets all his sexual cues from porn so when he goes for 2 in pink 1 n stink (shoccccckker or any porn move really) and ends up ruinin his chances at busting a nut with a female due to seeing it done in porn...just my thought on it...that and they could plant shit
