Why is there not a dark net market that sells totally legal things?

I know there are many people who are interested in these anonymous markets, and Crypto currencies who are also not going to be selling or buying drugs. Why don't we work on setting up a market but for legal products. There are many people with bitcoins, light coins and many other currencies that don't want to buy meth but would love to buy a blender, or a duvet cover, a part to their jeep, ext... I would love to help make that a thing we could do.

There are clearnet sites like Bitcoinin.com where you can buy all kinds of legal things with bitcoin. I just received a couple of books I bought from them the other day.

To answer your question, a market that sells totally legal things has no reason to be in the dark net.

The reason is because that market already exists on the internet, through Amazon, Ebay, or really any site that sells anything that is legal. There is no need to create a Black Market for legal things.

By making a DarkNet Market and using BTC or LTC you are just needlessly increasing the transaction costs, only people who really believe in the "BTC Revolution" would participate.

If your target audience is those kind of people, then the same thing could be done on ClearNet and would be more accessible for them.

You can buy legal stuff with bitcoins. But why go through the trouble of making it a hidden service? That's so silly. Bitcoins are legal, blenders are legal, you have no reason to hide.

Bitcoins have nothing to do with buying illegal goods, but it helps a lot.

If you look on the clearnet you will find vendors who accept BTC. (not many.) The reason drug markets are on TOR hidden services is so they won't be indexed by search engines.

No reason to hide The Blender Market Reloaded, no matter what currency you are using. Until BTC are illegal, there's no reason to hide the fact you are using BTC, unless you are purchasing illegal goods.

Hope that helped. We need Bill Cosby in here for this thread. "Kids say the darndest things."

The question is not a bad question. By "Legal" products, the customer simply means anything not pornographic, drug, or other questionable materials, related. The Sanitarium-Market.i2p was created just for that. We are in the process of collecting vendors but already have one vendor who is listing industrial tools for sale.

Some of the users below are partially correct about the reasons for no such markets. There is no reason to hide such a thing, but there is actually one good reason and that is simply taxes and tracking. Both the US and UK governments are tracking so much of your lives, just to get a piece of you. They keep biting and biting and eventually there will be nothing left. Some people are just tired of it and do not want to pay the high taxes, fees or any other government silliness and so are looking for a way to purchase anonymously.

Our wish is to be the BlackAmazon of i2p. Given the structure and location, we are sure there will eventually be questionable items, but it will all be categorized in individual locations and not blatantly advertised. The point should be to offer as much as possible.

If there is a demand for it we could implement some type of online hidden service for only legal items.
