List of popular alternative DNM's and known cons

List of 10 alternative DNM's to Agora on August 25th

In the wake of the Agora announcement I see people asking what alternative markets to use so here is my top 10 list of the main markets still surviving, with appearences here judged by number of listings.

It's crucial that to make an informed decision people are aware of a market's past questionable activities. "Alleged cons" are widely speculated allegations against the DNM but that shouldn't be taken as 100% confirmed.

Market Alleged Cons
Abraxas Allegation of IP leak.
Alphabay No known serious cons.
Crypto Market No known serious cons.
DarkNet Heroes League No known serious cons.
East India Company Previously hacked but seems to have recovered. Caters to European users only.
Middle Earth No known serious cons. Criticism that the admins defend using Javascript on MEM. Non-JS version is available.
Nucleus Allegations of selective scamming.
Outlaw Market No known serious cons. Minor criticism of the interface usability.
Oxygen No known serious cons. Minor allegations of impropriety regarding vendor GBPF.
The Real Deal No known serious cons. Down at the time of posting.

Best for Australians?

East India Co (EIC)

Pros

East India recently upgraded their UI, has the est UI of any market.

Added 2-of-3 multisig with timelock and partial refunds.

They have grouped listings, amazing search and filters/sorts. Support weight and units to make filtering better.

EIC refunds customers who lose money from scams and they stop bad vendors quickly.

Have great support.

Are EU only so they avoid having the US police state chasing them. Australia, Canada and New Zealand vendors and customers are welcome.

Cons

Went down for 3 days because of a bug but paid for the losses themselves and came back.

Doesn't allow vendors to sell to people in the USA.

I'm pretty sure that DHL is the market that the Grams Admin was speaking now of working on. They were always super vague, but in the thread announcing the opening of DHL, /u/gramsadmin said "I'm very excited about this one!"

Anyways, looks like the best contender to be an alternative to Agora. Interface is clean and has all the features and security you'd want.

EDIT: updated w/ link.

If East India was "hacked" then Alphabay was also hacked when they lost tons of money due to a bug from their new order queue system.

The Abraxas "IP leak" was FUD pushed out by another market when Abraxas first appeared.

It would not still be around almost a year later otherwise.

If you log in, you will see it's the closest thing to Agora in almost every way possible. The icons are different, the layout has been futzed with a bit, but it may as well be Agora's backup market.

Abraxas still safe to order from?

What you have against Bloomsfield ?! Here is several threads about it. And it is also in superlist.

[1 Points] box672:

Just joined outlaw and DHL and both are pretty weak in terms of the small amount of h vendors s

Would advise people looking for smack to try abraxas or alpha bay, heaps more listening than DHL or outlaw

Just joined DHL and awaiting approval for vendorship now. Thing is--from what I understand--there's quite a waiting list. Which is not necessarily a bad thing, it sort of shows that people really want to be a part of that place.

Is there some way around this? Any way to get in touch with admins or staff directly about approval? I've seen some people say they've been waiting for weeks while others like /u/DiMiTri_Coolbreeze got accepted almost instantly.

Yes, I'm on a new redditor account but this is for security purposes. If I could get in touch with the staff, I'm sure they'd accept my application seeing that I'm somewhat known and have some experience under my belt. Also, I'm a U.S. vendor which they are lacking at the moment.

[1 Points] MathewPerth:

Abraxas is very useful to me as i can see prices in AUD, plus it seems to have the most vendors.

[1 Points] SpaceBoy420:

Anyone know which markets have the most or well known #4 vendors? Been using only Agora and direct since losing ass on BB.
