I bought a 3 pack of Toshiba 16gb USB 3.0 sticks, as Best Buy only had these, PNY and SanDisk. I was able to initially install Tails to one of these USB sticks using the USB install utility from the Tails website. This Tails USB boots just fine. I've attempted 3 times now to make a working Tails USB from the previous Tails USB. The first one worked, yet only booted one time. Subsequent boots did not work - the machine just boots into Windows. I tried this again, two more times. Both times the resulting USB stick would not boot.
Do you presume this is an issue with these Toshiba USB sticks? It's strange that I can get the initial install to work though. Does anybody have a suggestion for another popular stick that is known to work?
Thank you.
Take the hard drive out or go into your bios and change the boot order so it boots from device.
