Should Mods Be Neutral??

Should mods be allowed to recommend certain vendors. I think this is unacceptable and should be addressed.

I think it opens up corruption and an unfair playing field. Vendors would be able to approach mods and offer bribes or other incentives for them plugging vendors names and promoting their products

Neutral towards vendors? We are neutral towards vendors in the sense that anyone can post here if they follow the rules.

If you're saying we're not allowed to have favorites, I don't agree with your position. We were subscribers before we were mods and we chose to volunteer our time here because of our love and commitment to this community. Should we not be allowed to participate in the community we love and helped to build?

Our recommendations and preferences do not interfere with the function of this subreddit. I see nothing wrong with having favorites.

Remember that a mod is only speaking in official capacity when they distinguish their post.

Beyond that, who gives a fuck who a mod says is good? I know from personal experience that mods have trusted vendors when they shouldn't have. They're people just like the rest of us, and they make mistakes.

Also I'm not sure if it happens anymore, but when I was a mod I had vendors and markets offering me BTC and free drugs if I would shill for them and I told them to fuck off. So I guess you can trust a mod's recommendation as much as you trust that mod.

Only mod I listen to is Automod

Anyone with power or authority over others should be neutral, but seen as the mods power is editing & deleting posts and their authority is a different colour name who honestly gives a shit, maybe on darknetmarketnoobs the users would blindly follow what a mod said but we're supposed to adults in this sub

They're doing an unpaid service.

By that very nature, nothing a mod does or says is official in any way. This is a subreddit, not an organization. The rules they enforce are to prevent the subreddit from closing. We are, or maybe now were on thin ice for reddit's admins.

Which mod was making threads saying buy this guys shwag FE FE FE now?

As IGDS already said:

We are only then officially speaking when we distinguish our comment so that it reads 'DNM Moderator'.

Everything else that's written without distinguishing it, is just our very own opinion.
