What likely just happened? LE or Scam?

I'm kind of a noob. I recently created an AB account. I ordered a small amount of some medication from a level 1 vendor. The vendor had 100% positive feedback from about 30 deals. The reviews looks legit and were pretty recent. I ordered the product and sent my address in the "sender notes" via PGP. I went back to look and it said the order had been marked as shipped. I clicked on details and the vendor sent a message saying that I needed to submit my address again through a seprate link in order to "process the order properly". I went to the link and it opened up the AB login screen again. I endered my login info and it kept saying I was entering the capcha incorrectly. I was certain I was entering it correctly but it wouldn't let me log in. Also, the capcha never changed, it stayed the same everytime I went to that link. Finally I gave up. I came back later to login to AB and now I can't login because it is saying my password and username is incorrect. I'm locked out.

Clearly I think that link where I tried to login again captured my login. Then I think someone with acess my my account changed my pw. There was not that much BTC in the account so I'm not worried about that. Do you think this was LE or the Vendor that just tried to get the money in my account? Should I try buying again from a different vendor?

I did not provide the product I was trying to buy or the vendors name because I'm not sure if I should. If it would help this from happening to someone else I can provide the info.

lol well I can see where he got those positive reviews from...

[45 Points] CheekyDive:

The vendor sent you a phishing link to gain access to your account. Name and shame this cunt

[24 Points] DNM_Throwaway1234:

Definitely a scam, who was the vendor?

[20 Points] None:

Will people please start listing the vendor name when they make a post about being scammed/shady movement? You're being selfish if you don't, if you do, you're helping everyone here out and preventing future scams.

[13 Points] Shbwjsuss:

Vendor probably scammed you. Like you suspect, you've been phished.

[12 Points] arthrayy:

vendor name plz

[11 Points] DICKPIXTHROWAWAY:

Wow, you should seriously stop using DNM's. Based on this post, I can almost guarantee you haven't done enough research and are almost definitely not using the markets safely.

PS: (Assuming this isn't a troll post), you should absolutely post the name of the vendor ASAP.

[8 Points] RaveTurkey01:

Sorry to say it buddy but if your story is true you've been phished. I'm hoping that you don't use the same username/password for everything (that is a major no no when it comes to anything)

Basically theye directed you to a fake website setup to look like the market you were on, have you enter your username/password and then steal your account using the credentials you've entered.

They shouldn't be able to steal your remaining btc because you should have a pin preventing them to do so (but if you can't get back into your account its lost anyway) but they can finalise the order and get your payment from escrow.

Even worse, they can then leave positive feedback for themselves using your account.

If legit, name and shame. Create a new account and message the marketplace admins bit if it is AB I've only been hearing bad things.

[5 Points] None:

Yes, that was most definitely a phishing scam. Never follow links to sites in messages and enter in your login information! This is true even on the clearnet. Actually on the DNM, never follow links in messages period.

Create a new account and be more skeptical next time. Make sure your new account has NOTHING in common with your old account.

For future reference, 30 orders is not a lot. Look for vendors who have at least a few hundred orders and positive reviews here. It's likely those 30 orders were faked. And until you get a better sense of what to look for, avoid FEing (finalizing early) entirely.

Alright guys, who phished his reddit account?

[2 Points] Litico:

damn yo not even a stupid scam

[2 Points] Admin_First:

You got phished, before placing a order with vendors on AlphaBay please check one of two things.

  1. Check to see if feedback has been fabricated, generally they'll have multiple sales of less then 10$ or all around the same dollar frame.

  2. Never click a link they give you, always use a original link. DeepDotWeb is a good reference.

[2 Points] Cum4Me666:

Jesus, you followed a "seperate" link outside of the market and did'nt think twice about it. Sorry man, lesson learned I suppose.

[1 Points] AndThenHeSays4:

Check the links before clicking them!! god damn.

[1 Points] Shroomgawd:
