I know all about Shadow. Been watching the project and learning about it since September 2014. The devs are very dedicated and have been making really good progress on the coin.

A lot of things planned. Right now, the transactions are utilizing zero knowledge non interactive proofs on top of traceable ring signatures. The whitepaper for ShadowSendv.2 will explain this in detail. Basically, in a full shadowsend txn, outputs & inputs are hidden in a larger quantity of coins, and sender & receiver are unlinkable. SDC is destroyed and created with the transaction flow.

Almost every coin with Stealth addresses has borrowed the code from the Shadow devs, and many coins with encrypted messaging are using the origin ShadowChat code.

The devs are currently working on a p2p marketplace built into the wallet, a hierarchical deterministic wallet, and a new Android wallet. Future plans (no set date) include a shadow development kit which will allow people to create third party apps that can be snapped into the html5 frontend wallet.

There's also a peer review pending.

It may pique your interest to buy some. I'm not going to tell you what to do though.

Yeah, Shadow has been around for a bit now. As far as cryptocurrencies go that are aiming for anonymity, Shadow has established itself well and is seen as one of the more truly anonymous coins.

Its a failed pump and dump scam.

If they ever did get it online and people sold drugs on it the original developers who took no effort to hide their identity and would be arrested for maintaining the software.
