Did i Brick my tails? (donations will be paid)

So I havent been buying anything as of late and i was still running tails 2.6... I went to download 2.7 via the box that popped up asking me if i wanted to update. It was downloading the update and then the dl box went away and nothing came up so i assumed i had to reboot. Went to reboot and it loads untill the use persistance screen but then seems to lock up. (i cant move the cursor and even if i press the power button it doesnt flash turn off like it did before). I have a sizable amount of btc on this usb for me(over 3) and ive tried it on two different computers. Did i just royally fuck up? I am willing to donate some btc to the gentlemen or ladies who are willing to help.

I would install tails to another drive, then follow this guide to try and access the old wallet.

https://tails.boum.org/doc/first_steps/persistence/copy/index.en.html

Good luck!

Didn't you write down your electrum wallet? Because then you can just recover it on a new Tails

Oh and have you tried Failsafe mode?

you should be able to mount the persistence on any linux OS (or anything that can run LUKS really) and extract/backup your files. i would do that first before i change anything on the flash drive. hit me a message if you need more details, but google should get you what you need to know if you don't know how to do it.
