Just a thought:

I don't approve of the "long term community member" flair. I think it harbors a sense of trust where there shouldn't be. All it takes is LE to have those flairs by someone who is an LE mod and a lot more peolple might get suckered into their traps. Just a thought. Don't forget LE love to play on the weak and gullible.

Plus some of our most valued members regularly cycle accounts.

Which pattern of behaviour is that flair trying to encourage?

[8 Points] cheapcab:

Only our top officers get that flair. No worries here, nothing to see. Move along.

this was one of my concerns initially too. but we can and will remove that flair for everybody who abuses it or gives other reasons to remove it. furthermore it just says that the user is in the dnm scene for some time, not more and not less. it basically just saves you a bit of researching through the user's post history.

there are indeed a lot of users who do not stick to one account and therefore do not get that flair although they would deserve it. however since they already change their account regularly, the last thing they want would be such a flair which would make all their opsec efforts useless [because they would stick out despite changing their accounts].

Curious noob here : what's LE ?

Stare hard re-tard.

I didn't even notice I had the flair until I decided to connect to the non-mobile version of Reddit one day a few months ago. Reddit mobile on Tor always loaded faster.

Edit: you seem a little young and paranoid op. It's always good to be paranoid. With this sub it all comes down to knowledge, research, and a little common sense. Stayin skeptical is always good. It will lead you to Do your own research. There is a lot of OGs here who have been doing this for a long time and have good advice. The mods do a great job of keeping this place in shape as well. Stay skeptical though and don't get lazy. This sub can be a great source for your research and saving that ass and money sometimes.

Are you suggesting there is an LE presence on DNM sub. Seems a little far-fetched that LE would waste their resources reading reddit posts from teenagers.
