LBC vendors requiring ID for Cash Deposits now?

Seems like almost every vendor is requiring an ID before they do business with you now. Not the bank, the vendors on LBC. I slowly started using other vendors that dident require ID over the years, but now it seems as if they ALL ask for ID now.. ? They say its only to run your name in the " terrorism data base" and they all keep a copy of your ID on File in an encrypted drive.. Anyone else encountering this problem and how do you get around it ? Just give them a copy of someone's ID to shut them up, fake id, or what ?

Guy asked me for my ID and I said my license is verified on LBC and he said ok and let me do the deposit. Never sent him my ID. So maybe give that a shot. If they don't want to do business with you they will cancel the trade. Then you just find a new person on LBC.

yeah i saw that. i have such a large transaction history that i just message certain vendors and tell them to let it slide. the best bet you have is to find a fake id or someone else's. all they are trying to do is call the bank and verify the transaction. but it's still sketch.

My trusted vendor never asked me for an ID either but did the other day. I don't know how I felt about it. Buying bitcoin isn't illegal. So there is really nothing they can do with it. And it was just a one time thing.

I think if your real name is not connected with your username on lbc just use someone else's or a fake.

Bitquick.co is a good alternative that doesn't require ID.

it's to protect your seller against fraud

I've never had this and use LBC pretty regularly.

Fake id

It's illegal for NY state residents to trade bitcoins without a bitlicense. So people on LBC avoid NYers
