IRL OPSEC, BB PGP ect..

Hi guys, this is a question for IRL OPSEC. I dont know if any of you guys have experience with this kind of OPSEC, but I feel like the vendors in here must have a strong IRL OPSEC also outside DNM. Anyone have experience with safe communication IRL? Blackberrys is very popular with IRL OPSEC, does anyone have experience with this? How do you communicate private and safe IRL? Anyone have experience with ennetcom (are they open again?), ghostpgp, toppgp ect? Is there a market for something like this? A forum? Up to date guides or something? I try too keep my self updated on crackberry and stuff like that, but its hard to get straight talk in here, when you are actually looking for info to illigal business. If anyone have some good info about this kind of communication please contact me here or on l0rre@sigaint.org.

BBM is secure but I thought you needed to control the BES and the encryption keys. If you don't then yes it is secure but you are not controlling it.

I would definately look into Whatsapp. It supplys end to end encryption (PGP based) which means that no LE agency can force them to supply records because not even Whatsapp can decode their traffic.

On top of that, the issue that alot of mobile phones face are things call IMSI catchers. They essentially impersonate cell phone towers and force your phone to send its traffic in an unencrypted format. These are especially common in large urban areas. With that being said, cell phone networks aren't really secure at all. You want to push all of your messages through an application that encrypts them.

Tox messenger. Works on pc, android, and iphone using gnu gpl 3. It's open source meaning any security holes spotted can be fixed by the community and from my research seems to be the most secure

Why bother with a mobile device at all? Why not use burner laptops with xmpp + otr and maybe even pgp on top of that for extra sensitive stuff?

By not having a mobile device, you sacrifice your ability to immediately respond to messages. Is immediately responding to every message within 30 minutes or 1 hour really necessary for your operation?
