Just wondering, has anyone ever tried to argue entrapment when they have experienced a controlled delivery? Because surely a cop walking up to you and handing you a parcel of drugs which "you have no knowledge of" is textbook entrapment....
Controlled delivery and entrapment.

Not entrapment when the drugs where addressed to your ass

Textbook entrapment? No that scenario is not. Textbook entrapment would be say a cop puts a gun to your head or makes some sort of threat which forces you to commit a crime that you would not have originally committed under normal circumstances. Setting the conditions to allow you to commit a crime is not entrapment. Look at undercover cops posing as street walkers. That's not entrapment. Enticing you isn't entrapment. A lot of people think that it's entrapment of the cop side of it wouldn't have been there then a crime couldn't take place. That's incorrect
And even so, if you are at the level of a CD you probably initiated the transaction far earlier than at the point of getting handed the parcel. You made a purchase from somewhere else, not the postman. He's just the courier but even if you purchased from a compromised vendor, undercover LE posing as a vendor, or a marketplace run by LE it's more than likely not entrapment.
But I'm not a lawyer. This is how I understand it though.

No one on here has experienced a CD. Those people are either all in jail, or feel so lucky to have escaped they stay far, far away from reddit, only popping up from time to time to whisper sage-like advice on a deaf crowd.
edit: plus, no one ever believes them anyways, and the realization of "why am I risking my life for a bunch of asshole redditors who dont believe me anyways" causes them to leave and never return.

Is that what a cop did to you?

its not entrapment
pick up a law book and do some reading

entrapment is really just intent. once they follow the breadcrumbs and see all the work yuou did to order those drugs, an entrapment defense is laughable

That's not entrapment in any way shape or form. Read this. It explains exactly what entrapment is and isn't in extremely simple terms.

But if you didn't have prior knowledge of the pack and LE put it in your hand then surely that is forcing you to be in possession of drugs? Which would therefor be entrapping you into the possession of said drugs? Not claiming to have any knowledge on the matter, just wondering if a case could be argued in that manner
Entrapment is when you're forced to commit a crime by LE that you would've otherwise not committed. So no, a CD would not be considered entrapment.
