Was wondering how bad it is to not tumble coins or pgp. Is it really bad and will get you caught or is it just not recommended ?

Use PGP. It's actually not hard to use, just find a quick guide. It means that if the site goes down, any explicit details said to the vendor will not be able to be read.

As others have said, tumbling isn't necessary at all. I just buy my BTC, send to Electrum, then to the market. PGP is necessary, though. Don't order without using it. It's honestly not complicated at all. There's a couple great PGP guides that will help. Check out http://www.reddit.com/r/DarkNetMarkets/comments/2q30lq/pgp_step_by_step/

I'm a big advocate of tumbling, or going BTC-LTC-BTC to mask the transaction. It is however highly debated and up to you really to decide if you want to take the precaution or not.
PGP on the other hand is absolutely essential.
EDIT: Some vendors won't accept orders where the information isn't encrypted, and they are right IMHO.

at the very least, if you choose to forgo any other security precautions, don't let PGP be one of those things you don't do. PGP encryption guarantees that the person on the receiving end is actually the person that should be reading it. anybody can open a privnote link, but only one person can type in the password required to decrypt a PGP-encrypted message.

I completely disagree with the other commenters that say tumbling is unnecessary. If LE recover logs from a DNM they can simply subpoena Circle or Coinbase and they will then know who you are and will be able to link you to every transaction you've done on that market. (assuming the market is keeping logs - most are). If you tumble the coins before you send them there would be nothing on the blockchain (or in the coinbase/circle logs) linking you to that market.
