I hope this reddit won't get banned

There is just too much information, someone should back it up and reupload somewhere, cause the amount of information and guides in this SubReddit is HUGE, it's a goldmine for people like me, thanks to all of you and all of the mods (wombat :)). I hope someone takes my advice and reuploads everything somewhere just in case. You people take care, Tomislav23 out.

You shoulda been here the time Astrid took the sub hostage and kicked the mods out and made it private. Thankfully Econ was able to blackmale Astrid with videos of Russian ladyboys pissing on her.

people think im Joking....https://www.reddit.com/r/DarkNetMarkets2/

If the media ever finds out about the subreddit, it's GG. The second reddit gets bad press about a subreddit, they ban it.

but but we'll just adhere to the rules!

They make up reasons for deleting subs and will even make posts that break the rules and then blame the sub for it. It's happened over a dozen times already.

Don't worry grasshopper.....the NSA has back ups of it all!!!! So all is safe & secure in case Reddit is hacked & you can't get your daily fix of DNM news.....Bahahahahaahaaaaa!!!!!

The 9000 Must Flow!!!!!

we hope so too. some may avoid this place or just lurk due to it being a clearnet forum but over time quite some history took place here.

we encourage users to check out this page https://www.reddit.com/r/DarkNetMarkets/wiki/helping-mods which described some small tips on how each user can help keeping this sub alive and making it better.

as for backups several of us mods have saved all the important config and wiki pages [from am config to the dnm bible pages]. plus there are backup plans for voat, dread and another hidden project which are being worked on and improved.

backing up the posts and comments of the sub to preserve a good chunk of dnm history would be a good idea too. I am already scraping markets and I think I will take a look at preserving this sub too after the former is working smoothly.

/r/fakeid is a prime example of how reddit will take down any subreddit if they feel pressure to do so from law enforcement or the media, even new versions of it were taken down despite completely following the rules.

[1 Points] _PrinterPam_:

How do you propose doing that? As far as I know, there's no 'export' feature to any of this and I seriously doubt anyone is going to manually copy thousands upon thousands of posts and the comments.

[1 Points] DareToHope:

The mods have in various stages several "contingency" plans in case such a thing were to happen. My hope is that the reddit admins would give us a warning or at least inform us prior to it as we had been in somewhat regular contact with them in order to abide by their rules (or our interpretations of them)

[1 Points] sequoia91:

It's tough. Reddit is good as a neutral meeting place.

I wonder if they are hesitating about banning this subreddit because they still need to distinguish themselves from Twitter and Facebook in order to continue to grow. If they started aggressively banning subs people would ask what distinguishes Reddit from Twitter/Facebook. That would be really bad for the share price. It would definitely hurt any IPO.

Strange to say, but banning subs like this might cost Reddit millions of dollars.

Voat was a backup location but I'm not sure thats still the plan.

[-3 Points] GirlsDontLikeIce:

There's no info here worth saving.

Literally nothing.

I hope you're not as dumb as you sound. There's sites like the waybackmachine where you can view all prior content. Stop being ignorant.
