BOA just told me they started asking for ID this week. Whats the next best way of getting anonymous bitcoins?

Looking into in person transactions now and other routes. None of them were as easy as just running to BOA's with 20k in cash and a laptop :(

Wells Fargo doesn't ask for ID.

Did BoA actually ask you for ID or just tell you they would?

A $20k deposit would always have triggered paperwork and other headache.

If you're dealing with a bank and anything over 10k, then you are filling out paperwork.

I had a friend have issues with BOA around 2 years ago... and he was trying to purchase $2k worth of BTC for investment reasons.

Ya I had to give them my id today. I don't know if they wrote my name down or anything or just verified me to the ID. Either way IDGAF but for anonymity purposes it blows. Wells Fargo Bank and a lot of other banks along with most credit unions don't ask for IDs for cash deposits. Most credit unions will allow you to deposit into someone else's totally different credit union company for free without ID. Just look up their policies before deciding which one to choose. I do the credit union way and Wells Fargo along with BB&T a lot. I haven't made a deposit larger than 500 anywhere though as well.

WF doesn't for transactions under 1500.

I'd recccomend localbitcoins.com. the coins are marked up slightly but you just deposit the money into someone else's account so no i.d is required.
