Address on package may have been wrong, what to do?

So I've been tracking a package that was sent to a house it was ordered to. It shows that it was delivered on the 6th to a nearby city, but no sign of the package.

Now at first I thought it was intercepted, but I looked into the zip code to which it was delivered and there aren't any police stations in that zip code. There is a USPS office there, however. Looking back, I realized that the address of the house is technically in that zip code and city, but the address given to the vendor was listed in a dufferent zip code in a suburb of that city. My question is: would it be safe to call the post office in the zip code the package was delivered to? Or what ejse should I do?

Wait, so the vendor did not send it to the supplied address? That's on them then.

As a vendor, my job is to ensure that the product is packaged in such a way that minimizes the possibility of discovery AND to ship to the address supplied by the buyer. If they mess up the address then that is the buyer responsibility.

I check all my addresses. The only thing I change EVER is if someone amends USA to a domestic order as I believe that brings unwanted attention. IF I see that an address has incorrect elements according to the USPS verifier, I message the buyer for clarification.

I do not take it upon myself to correct anything. My reship/refund policies are very clear so that if there is an error or the buyers half, then I am covered.

I wouldn't do anything but wait. What are you going to do? Call and inquire about a package that has illegal substances in it? There goes ANY plausible deniability you may have.

Just wait and hope it gets there. Not much more you can do.
