Why you shouldn't use Coinbase..

Vernon Hills' trustees approved three items at their meeting, the first of which approves the opening of an account with Coinbase, an exchange which Finance Director Larson described as "police-friendly."

Sent over 800 using Coinbase, directly to various DNM wallets - never had a problem. Been operating this way for months. No missing drops, or love letters.

Coinbase isn't after you, really, or anyone. They're a business. If they started fucking DNM users, they'd see their profits decline since many high rollers that might use Coinbase will rack up their revenue in their fees.

EDIT: it also would be stupid of a company to blatantly say they're not willing to work with police, or say anything that would tie them to illegal activities. Of fucking course they'd say they're police friendly. What company wouldn't?

Pretty sure "police friendly" means any idiot can figure it out. Coinbase is pretty open about what they share so it's a calculated risk. Plus I like their response to the bu/core drama.

Or.. Don't use coinbase bc their fees are ludicrous and you can use Gemini and have your BTC equally quickly for 1/10th the fees

So would the best way be to use the ATMs or local Bitcoin?

I hate Coinbase with a passion. They banned me over 2 years ago. Plus they try to be sneaky with theirs fees. Once again, fuck Coinbase.

Or maybe you shouldn't because you basically have to use a bank account or something connected to your SSN. If you're buying more than just 100's of dollars of btc a month then you really shouldn't do anything that would turn up red flags while audited. Or you can, if you love convenience.

I was just about to post this same article

if you DO, make sure you tumble those fuckers. you better believe they are watching where they end up, would not be surprised if they were keeping track of buyer info as well
