Decriminalization and dark nets packages

What kind of laws will you be charged with if you are caught receiving marijuana under an oz? I'm guessing just possession right?

If this is true, would shipping to a decriminalized city be a good idea. I live close to a major city that decriminalized pot recently. You are charged a small fine for posession and no arrest. If I get a package sent to a po box to one of these cities could they charge me more than posession and the small fine if caught?

hypothetically speaking, if you were to be caught, they could potentially try to slap you with smuggling across state lines as well as other various charges related to sending drugs through the mail. those charges would be on the federal level, btw.

[3 Points] None:

The problem with decriminalized and DNMs is that you're still using the mail. It's completely illegal to ship weed from Seattle to Spokane, even though it will stay inside a legal state the entire time.

Weed is still illegal on a federal level and you could be prosecuted for possession, trafficking, plus whatever laws apply for using the mail.

I just moved away from a state where it's decriminalized for personal use. People still got arrested all the time for dealing, even tiny amounts. Decriminalization really only allows people to possess and use, not transfer/buy/sell. It only really means the local authorities won't arrest you for sitting on your back porch smoking.
