Floating an idea

I've noticed an uptick in the number of posts that criticize a vendor and then the post deleted or overwritten (yes I see fucking everything). Obviously this is done almost certainly to obfuscate a pattern. To me, if you say something, you should be willing to stand by what you say. If you can't stand by what you say, then don't say it.

And I'm not talking about a person concerned Bc of Opsec reasons. I'm seeing a potential pattern of slandering a vendor and then removing accountability for that FUD. In these cases I imagine it's a competitor trying to capture business. I cannot stress enough - any vendor linked to doing this shit on this sub will be permanently banned. I'm going to discuss with other mods, but any vendor doing this might have any future positive reviews considered shill reviews and removed. There are going to be serious consequences to playing dirty in terms of participation here.

What does the community think about this? Again, I wanted to gauge your thoughts. No tinfoil. This is me trying to be transparent. If you don't like this line of thinking lay it out rationally as to why you don't like it.

fuck them all to death

If you can prove without a shadow of a doubt that there is a vendor slandering another vendor in order to gain more business in my opinion he or she shouldn't be kept around.

[3 Points] DareToHope:

Honestly, if they wanna keep playing dirty. I say you bury them up to their necks in dirt and see if they can dig their way out.

This should be about the community, not pure greed, gluttony and slander. Yes there is money to be made but you know what works REALLY REALLY well?

Providing a solid product, solid service, and a solid price. Simple formulas for a reason work.

[3 Points] Vendor_BBMC:

Unfortunately, it's hard to prove beyond reasonable doubt WHICH competitor it is. And in the case of LSD vendors, you have the added problem of it more likely being a paid professional trolling by a shill army like DNMavengers doing a low-key "death by a thousand cuts".

Its then further complicated by the victim shapeshifting between shills. TGUK NEVER wrote a single comment under his own name, and as soon as the cat is out of the bag and you realize that two accounts are the same vendor, the account is deleted (like Minervathrowaway when Pelican made a mistake and it became clear that they were the same person on Tuesday).

Now I'm dying to know what Pelican said under his Minerva monica, but his posting history is gone. He must have been a bit naughty though.

The level of shilling can be demonstrated by comparing the number of users online with the total number of accounts which have subscribed

365 online

103,849 subscribers. That's why text-based reviews are virtually worthless now. Particularly on an American-dominated sub like this one.

"If you mean what you say, don't throw it away". Everybody's got an agenda on here, but when its a shill army you can feel the breeze towards a particular vendor on your face.

Maybe rule y can be used to test and hone new rules. Consider rule y the test environment.

Attributing the bad behavior, as others have noted, is next to impossible. I'd be more interested in seeing what you see - namely IDing vendor who is being criticized in an obviously shady way.

I'm gonna go out on a whim here and say you think aplracream is slandering tranquilly

What is this?

Do ittt

[1 Points] Lucyintehsky:

Whenever i see it happen, wich is a lot lately. I consider it slanter/fud

[1 Points] free-agent:

This would work if it were a closed loop, but that type of system ended shortly after the inception of the universe. The only thing you can really hope for is that the users of this sub are able to discern what is a hoax or not. I usually do research when I see these things pop up and usually doesn't take more than 30 minutes to figure out what is propaganda and what isn't. Learn to discern is my only advice.

[1 Points] stickykitty1:

I'd love for there to be a way to accurately vet critical posts! Sadly I can't think of one that's foolproof, but thanks for your efforts 1000x. When you can gather enough evidence beyond a 'reasonable doubt' I say take action. Make them work to prove their veracity.

At least I haven't directly threatened to dox anyone. cough cough 36fuckin5 cough KCMOxtractor cough TripsterMcGee (on facebook) coughs up phlegm

[1 Points] chefjoesb:

Great idea. Consequences ftw

[1 Points] nottherealredditacct:

Not specifically vendors, but I would presume some are removed as they are identified by their purchase, and a threat of a dox is made.

Surely I wasn't the only one who saw the BCbudemporium (Think that was his name) post the other day, telling people he had a spreadsheet of all his sales, buyers information, and various other things.

Totally agree though if its vendors having pissing contests, and trying to steal each others customers. Just do it the right way, undercut the price, or offer better quality.
