HumboldtFarms shake question?

Has any one used HumboldtFarms shake to make Rosin? If so, how was it? I've been thinking about getting some to make some cheap wax, but have been skeptical I fear of it producing bad/weak wax.

It'll depend on the product, but rosin is rosin, as far as I'm concerned. Any extraction method is extracting desired compounds, the product may change potency and the psychoactive profile a bit, but not a whole lot. You notice more a change in quantity with quality product. Better quality, more rosin yield (and more yeild with general extractions, such as solvent or CO2 based endeavours). Weak extract is more often than not a result of bad extraction (I find).

Shake isn't good for Rosin- you need buds or turn it into hash first, that's why nobody grinds their buds before they squeeze them. You are probably better with QWET or QWISO extraction for shake. Check out the fuckcombustion threads for a ton of info.

whats rosin?

It wouldn't be the best product, I would use some buds as well, if it is for personal smoke.

I've never used it to make wax, but I use his Northern Lights shake/trim to make butter and oil for edibles all of the time, and it's very good for that. So far every batch of trim has made some pretty strong butter for me.
