Does anyone ever consider the irony of the fact that the government is making so much money off the DNM's through USPS shipping costs?

And when they bust big vendors, all they're doing is lining their pockets with that vendor's finances (and we all know all they care about is money -- not drugs, morals, your health or your kids)? But they continue to make money via illegal drugs being sent through postage fees. It's so hypocritical and mind-boggling. When will the insanity of the War on Drugs end? I feel like we have won via the internet. No matter how many markets and vendors they take down, new ones will arise.

I swear I meant to make a point in there somewhere. Sorry if this just comes off as a rant.

If I'm not mistaken (I may be) the USPS is an entity that is separate from the US government, and thus wouldn't contribute to the government's bottom line other than through taxes.

I was told by some people in the know that Ross Ulbricht started silk road with the master plan of saving the usps. Once the government found out about this, and how well it was working, he was transferred to a very posh NY city highrise apartment where he was asked to create more markets. please do not repeat this, I was not supposed to tell anybody!

I think people are finally starting to come around. Worldwide de-criminalization may never happen but I hope people do their part to make a change. The government doesn't have the right to lock people up for their own personal affairs. Tax us, that's fair. But don't lock us up and take all of our possessions out of mere greed. Drugs aren't evil. In the end, money is what corrupts.

Well to be fair, it's not hypocritical as they are not complicit in the act. They would stop it if they can.

In the UK, the Royal Mail was privatized this year.

I can now own shares in my unwitting drug mule.

[2 Points] Rxmyass:

YES! a year or so ago they were saying they were going to stop delivering on saturdays and now they are saying they will do priority shipping on sundays!

Hate to be snide but, so what if the government is making money of it? Aren't the vendors/customers making money off of it too?

[2 Points] BigDickedWeedSmoker:

All the more reason for them to please just let us do what we want

USPS doesn't make dick off of DNMs. Maybe 100,000-300,000 packages a year are from DNMs, which really is nothing.
