HANSA Market

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA512

We have announced HANSA Market for the first time two weeks ago on "The Hub" and after a few bug fixes and suggestions from the community (that we implemented) we are ready for a bigger audience and welcome every /r/Darknetmarkets user to try HANSA.

Towards the end of last year we began to ask ourselves what a Dark Net Market really needs and how to avoid the mistakes of other markets. We have created a system that is designed to protect our vendors and our buyers from losing their Bitcoins in consequence of an Exit Scam by us without forcing the usage of the sometimes deterring complexity of a traditional multisig-escrow on our users. That was our main motivation to develop HANSA, because the experience of the last years has shown that it is not really the vendors or buyers that are scamming each other. Dishonest market admins were the biggest reason for massive disappointment.

To avoid this we are utilizing a 2-2 multisig-escrow and we are not using a market balance where you have to deposit BTC before any purchase. For the majority of our users - the buyers - the only thing different from other markets is the payment of an order. Every order has it's unique payment address, similar to Coinbase's or BitPay's payment system. The advantage of this is no large Bitcoin balance on your account that we can disappear with.

Here is a video demonstrating the simplicity of a purchase on HANSA: http://streamable.com/ug7g

Vendors have to do one or two more steps to get started on HANSA. First, you have to gererate at least one multisig-escrow-address with us which is used to temporarily store the coins of your buyers until every trade is finalized. While in escrow, the coins cannot be accessed by either the vendor or us. Creating these addresses is not hard and we have documentation where everything is explained in detail. Besides the advantage that practically not a single Bitcoin can be embezzled by us, you do not have to worry about held back payments because as soon as a trade is finalized the Bitcoins are transfered to a BTC address of your choice.

We know that multi-signature seems complicated at first but it really is not. Here is a short clip that shows how to create a multisig-wallet and a listing: http://streamable.com/ptc6

Now we have talked about our basic functionality and the biggest difference to "traditional" Dark Net Markets. During development and the examination of current markets we came up with some more features that some other markets are missing but are now fully implemented on HANSA:

• Our search engine is lightning fast and actually finds the listings you are looking for

• Sophisticated filters for our listings

• An "instant delivery" system for digital goods, so you can get accounts or cards without any delay

• A well thought out feedback system

• A Bitmessage notification system allows you to never miss any activity on your HANSA account without having to log-in

• Uptime is always an issue for TOR websites, so we have put HANSA on multiple mirrors from the beginning to keep offline times to a minimum

• We have an i2p mirror, if the TOR network is slow or if you just prefer i2p

Thank you for reading so far.

There will still be no commission fee for at least 2 weeks and we are looking forward to every application from experienced vendors, who do not have to deposit any vendor bond.

We hope this post made you curious. If you need any help just reply to this thread or create a support ticket on HANSA Market.

Uptime is always an issue for TOR websites, so we have put HANSA on multiple mirrors from the beginning to keep offline times to a minimum.

This is a lie, I was able to DOS your site with a simple script and none of your mirrors seem to work, since your site went down at the same time across all my attacking servers it indicates you have no mirrors. After doing some pentesting I can see you have a single VPS server running Nginx.

503 Service Unavailable No server is available to handle this request.

Yeah,... you are a bunch of liars.

Also 2-of-2 means that if there is a dispute money is lost forever. Your system provides no real protection upon further investigation. You are not only blatantly lying but your system is stupid and the UI was lifted from Evolution.

A few questions:

1) Why do you allow fraud?

2) Would it be possible for you to MITM attack where you create bitcoin addresses where you actually have full access rather than the vendor and steal the coins that way?

3) Obviously one shouldn't trust a server to encrypt addresses; therefore would you encourage that users always learn PGP/GPG and encrypt themselves?

4) Agora is well known for its security measures which cause downtimes. How much thought have you put into your own security for this market?

From where did you get the wording for this vendor application? It's taken from somewhere word-for-word.

" By applying for a vendor account you will agree to the following:

You will operate as a venerable business (wo)man.
You will be the sole owner of this account.
You will not engage in artificially enhancing your feedback scores.
You will not have more than one vendor account.
You will not keep buyers' personal information after a transaction.
You will not ask buyers to finalize orders early.
You will not sell or promote items listed under forbidden goods.

Any violation will result in an immediate closure of your account.

In addition you are expected to:

Charge reasonable shipping and handling costs.
Specify shipping costs and handling time in the listing.
Respond to buyers' questions promptly.
Be helpful, friendly, and professional throughout a transaction.
Make sure the item is delivered to the buyer as described in the listing.
Encrypt communication between you and the buyer where possible.

"

EDIT: clarified what was my speech and what was quoted from site

An unbiased 3rd party always has to administer an escrow. In practice this will always be the marketplace.

Think of an escrow as a clear plastic box. We can see the customer's payment and know that they are good for it. 90% of the time, they get their drugs, pull a lever and the coin goes down a chute into a marketplace wallet. the vendor then prays that this wallet will let him withdraw to a real wallet, offsite, which he owns.

Its this wallet which we vendors don't like, not traditional escrows. Hansa doesn't have this wallet, but the multisig puts me off.

Customers shouldn't worry about the type of escrow, because its contents belong to the vendor. If it's stolen it's our loss. Don't be taken in by market customers who parrot the same old line about multisig escrow being the answer:- A simple escrow which people actually use is better in my opinion. It has to be reversible at the instigation of a marketplace admin anyhow, to refund the user if a vendor tries to scam him.

Another thing which markets need is a feedback system THAT SAYS HOW LONG THE ORDER TOOK TO BE DELIVERED. Then customers can see which vendors are fast, and which ones take weeks. Tell me I'm wrong.

In general, I don't see the merit of this setup over traditional 2 of 3 multisig. For a little bit more simplicity one loses significant amounts of security.

[1 Points] batmantaray:

The worst part is that this market is going to get a ton of attention because they fucked up instead of because they did it right. They are going to get tons of views, and people are going to sign up, because of all the publicity. Then, when people start getting fucked over, it's going to be blamed on multisig, and we'll have to spend another year FEing to everyone and getting scammed, because another shitty multisig market fucked it up for everyone.

[1 Points] ziplocroundtheclock:

I think the market sounds great, but I just want to point out that the LOSTHEAVEN vendor on hansa has a different PGP key from the actual lostheaven account on agora. Almost certainly a scammer.

[1 Points] throwawayschizo2:

I have only few simple questions: Do You have any previous experience with managing darknet marketplace? (because yours knowledge is similar like Verto and Kimble or maybe Blackbank) If You don't have any commissions fee, what profits you have from hansa ? (or you doing this because need gain trust again? or you have some bad karma and trying fix it?) Why anybody might give trust to you, after all negative scenarios what happened in near past. Also if you have nothing related to previous embarrassing hansa market, then why you pick same name? - that is so ridiculous. And i am very curious what happens when someone sent different value like system requested, then what (it will be refunded under 15 minutes?, lol, I really doubt about all you mentioned here)

[1 Points] impakt3:

multisig addresses always starting with number 3 or 2 not with number 1 like classical address which is under control someone who is fishy!

[-1 Points] HXLBreezyThunder:

There's a site I'm going to post a vendor review about that I used recently, they've been around for awhile and have NO ddos bullshit going on, like every fuckin weekend this shit is going on and I decided to go out on a limb and spend my hard earned $12.50 for a gram. Fuckin fed up with trying to get some good smoke and agora or whoever the fuck else is offline, wallet probs, what-the-fuck-ever-other-problems.. Got myself some killer skywalker OG... Like the rest of u I'm tired of this BS. Gimme a an hour or so because i'm fuckin floatin this shit is so strong...
