Corrupted TAILS USB containing Private Key

Hey guys, idiotically, I had never backed up my private key on one of two USB drives I use which recently is seemingly corrupted. Info about the "corrupted" USB: when running on a computer without any preinstalled operating systems, nothing ever runs. When booted from a computer with an HDD containing Windows, it will attempt to boot for some time, then boot Windows. When the USB is plugged into an already booted Windows computer, the computer makes the noises indicating a device has been inserted, but looking in the file system, no drive appears. Is this all indicitive of a USB that has been corrupted? Is there any hope? It is not a major concern due to the fact all that was on there was my private key to this vendor account, and a wallet with about $100 worth of bitcoin (do not believe I had the seed for that wallet however, only other wallet containing vast majoirty of funds). But if there is any way to fix/defrag the drive that would be wonderful. Any and all help is appreciated.

Thank you in advance,

KC

Install a GNU/Linux distro on the second USB you have, Linux Mint or Ubuntu should do. Boot into it, plug in the problematic USB, and see if it mounts. If it doesn't, open up Terminal and type this command:
lsblk

and see if the USB drive shows up there.
