"Cocaine's a Hell of a Drug" Rick James. He's dead now. He had a couple of interesting songs in the 80's before he was consumed by his addiction. I read many posters on Reddit extolling the virtues of cocaine here are my two cents. Cocaine is a pointless passe narcotic. It results in a mild stimulation that lasts 15 minutes coupled with mild euphoria. After there is a strong compulsion to re-dose. There is nothing spiritual or intellectual about the high at all. It is also difficult to maintain an erection after one has consumed cocaine so there is no sexual benefits to consuming the drug. It is also highly addicting. Cocaine is also obnoxiously expensive. Some may retort you haven't done "good" blow, or you haven't done enough! There is nothing good about blow. I live in the SF Bay Area and am a Man of means. I have access to acetone washed cocaine that comes straight from south america and is smuggled into the port of Oakland for which I used to pay my Chicano connect $100 a gram for. When I was using it was not unusual to spend $1000 in 24 hour period of partying on cocaine. There are plenty of more enjoyable substances out there that are more cost effective and non habit forming. Don't be a joke stay away from coke!
I had tried amphetamines before coke and when I finally blow a few lines of coke with people acting real sketchy in some back room I didn't understand the point. It doesn't last very long, and there really is not much too it. The culture around it also seemed terrible, all this sneaking around and feinding off each other for little bumps. I much preferred speed. Speed makes sense until it doesn't. Well speed made sense until I figured out I liked to masterbate on speed. Now its the only thing that I can do on it. I'll start off with good intentions, spun and doing stuff, you know being totally productive, then I will get this great idea, I'll reward myself with a quick wank, just one, then we will get back to work. 12+ hours later I'm still at it, every time. I've learned just to stay away from stims now.
