Question concerning text messages and security

Hey guys I'm pretty new to dark net markets and I've only placed 2 orders before. My question has to do basically with safety and so I was wondering how unsafe is it if I'm openly discussing orders of drugs through text messages? If a package does somehow gets intercepted can the authorities get access to my text messages? Also I am getting the package delivered to a friends house, so what if he/she shows our text convo to the feds, can they use that info against me? Obviously I am just trying to know what I should do in a theoretical situation such as this one so I could remain safe. Thanks

Hate to pile on but they are right the fact that anyone else knows where shit is coming from is an issue. People talk especially when they get into some trouble. As far as the texts go the bigger picture is they are all being captured and saved by our own government which probably doesn't mean anything now but in the future will be used for profiling of some sort. The local issue is if you get caught LE can forensically analyze your phone and retrieve the messages or just request them from your provider. If you have android id suggest your activate full encryption and use a program like a wickr to send text between friends.

If you want to be safe, use PGP for all drug related messaging.

If anyone you know in real life knows that you orders drugs through the mail off of a DNM...you have already lost the OPSEC game. Quit now.

Anything you mention on electronics is a huge security risk. The best option is to not say or type anything on any phone about activities, at all. Lots of the comments had good suggestions if you just must send incriminating info via text but just saying nothing is the best option. My opinion, stay safe.

Realistically, no one is going to subpeona your phone records to prove you bought half an ounce of weed on the internet. These guys who are telling you to quit because you told your friends about dnm's are being pretty dramatic. Just don't talk about it anymore, especially over text.

By texting someone about DNMs, that means you are telling someone that you order from the DNMs. You should not tell anyone you order from the DNMs. Not your friends, not your family, not your priest. And given that, its obvious you should be texting about it.

Can I ask why you are having it shipped to a friend's house? I think this is overall a bad idea. For one, it puts your friend in a bad position. What if the worst were to happen? Both of you are in a bad position. Look, one of the things you do have when you order something via USPS is plausible deniability. If you ship to a friend, what will happen? It not only puts your friend in a shitty position, it actually puts you in a worse position than had you shipped to your own house. Your strategies will change b/c suddenly you have another person involved. People think this is safer and it is not. When you ship to your own place and say it got seized, you can play out your strategy as you need to. If a friend gets it, your options become severely limited. Some people say that if this were to happen, they'd come forward to spare their friend. But then WTF is the point then of shipping to a friend if you'll come forward anyway? Ship to your own place, or get a PO Box if this is not feasible. Use plausible deniability to your advantage. Seriously, shipping to a friend is not a good idea on some many different levels.

You have to operate as if LE sees everything you do.

Don't do it.

Use CyberDust to send your text's to your friends. you both will have to have it but its a free app.
