When buyers send name and address cleartext.

This happens a couple times a month for us. We're not moving big numbers either so it's got to be happening a lot out there. I think most often buyers know better but make a mistake, click the wrong button etc. Here are a few tips, and I hope other people will chime in with more.

You might think I'm over-reacting but I personally think there is going to be a harsh crack down on the DNM and leaving your name and address on a server is just a really really bad idea that could come back to haunt you.

Alpha bay should make the "use sellers PGP" checkbox clicked in by default, or allow you to add a encrypted version of your address to your profile that automatically gets added to your order. I've accidentally submitted my address unencrypted once or twice just because I forgot to click that checkbox.

Learning how to use PGP on TAILS is not that hard. Setting up TAILS is not that hard. All the resources you need to sufficiently mitigate risk on the darknet are on /r/darknetmarketn00bs. I started with zero knowledge a couple months ago, spent several hours over a couple weekends casually reading about it, then started downloading TAILS and played with PGP a bit. Placed my first order about an hour after exploring TAILS and playing with the tools. Point is, this stuff is not that complex if a dummy like me can figure it out. Just take the time to learn these very basic things and protect yourself. Being a newbie, I don't claim to have the tightest OPSEC of all time, but when I see that people are not taking these very basic precautions, it's just mindblowing. Read a couple guides, read 'em again, understand the conceptual framework of how you're protecting yourself. You don't need to know all the details, just at a high level what you are protecting yourself against with each step. If you can't be fucked to spend a couple hours reading up on this stuff, you deserve to get caught!

How the fuck do you send your address encrypted by mistake. What tool even types their address into a market, this is not a mistake but willful negligence.

happens a few times a week with me.

I don't really give a shit, it's not my address. so I ship it anyway.

if people want to be maroons with their OPSEC that's not on me.
