What vendors operate their own markets? Where do we go when reddit shuts down DNM cause of the potential liability? Dont' wake up tomorrow and find all our reddit subs gone and no resources left to "find the others"!

[13 Points] BenzoBlotters:

When we saw the headline about the subpoena we were curious to see what kinds of users the government wanted reddit to cough up information about.

We've been following everything here for quite a while, and the recent (not completely by choice) shift to direct dealing and vendors using subreddits to stay in contact has been interesting to not only watch but also participate in. We were inspired by /r/quantikxanax to create our own subreddit as a centralized, easy to access place to find us, which is up and running as /r/benzoblotters. It's not intended to be a busy sub, but rather an easy to remember and access resource for our current and future customers.

As long as vendors aren't using reddit as a marketplace, and strictly using it as a place to communicate and as the resource it can be while completely complying with the ToS and user agreement, we would expect things to be able to proceed in the direction they are currently heading.

The subpoena appears to only target people that claim to be involved with and/or have knowledge of people involved with Evolution and the latest crisis. There are a handful of well known vendors on reddit, and it was reassuring to see a distinct absence of any of their names on the subpoena.

Hopefully this doesn't signal /u/gwern's departure from our community, but being one of five users the government is looking at with such scrutiny must be chilling, though surely he's been on their radar in some capacity for a while now.

[3 Points] None:

There are good reasons to move a lot of these conversations to an onion forum. The Hub forums (thehub7gqe43miyc.onion) would work well as a substitute venue for many topics on darknetmarkets. People really should check it out at least. I know a lot of vendors won't participate on reddit due to javascript requirement. So for a place for vendors to update their contact info and status, the hub is probably the best place for that info. There's a section for vendor threads (reviews and discussions). There are also sections for individual markets. I post here from time to time but I'm starting to have second thoughts about how smart that is with the LE attention.

Gwern should be banned and you guys should make this sub private. No new friends. Gwern has to leave he draws too much attention.
