So I have gotten no mail today (EC snowy af, no/barely any mail men have come to my house) and I got a message from a vendor to finalize the order because tracking shows that it has arrived. What do I do? Do I have any leverage in a dispute? This was a group funding so if I get scammed by this dude it means my friends lose money too. I hope yall can help.
Unspoken rule of the markets.
Don't spend money thats not yours or money you can't afford to lose.
But anyway, tell the vendor that you haven't received it and ask for the tracking number to check for yourself.
Talk to him in a very informal way and be polite, if the vendor refuses to send you your tracking number then you have messages from you and the vendor to help support your claim if it gets to the point where you have to file for a dispute.
And if it gets to the point you need to file for a dispute, make sure you be clear in the claim that he is refusing to provide your tracking number and you have already been in contact with the vendor to attempt to resolve the situation.
I'd say wait one more day [So long as the transaction isn't going to auto finalize] to give a chance for the pack to come before asking for the tracking.
As the money is in escrow don't start counting your loses yet.
