And new tails release with updated tor!

[11 Points] Schneeflockensalat:

Updated to Tor 5.5.5 and AVG Virus Scanner detected it as Maleware and deleted it. Can't reinstall it. WTF?

AVG gives me this link here: http://www.avgthreatlabs.com/de-de/virus-and-malware-information/info/unknown/?name=Unknown&utm_source=TDPU&utm_medium=IDP&PRTYPE=AVF&utm_expid=34410884-35.OreAPRBUR1mIzY7cZt5RoQ.0

Edit: As the website says 100k-500k user have this problem. Seems to be a big fail from AVG.

I've noticed when I look at the servers in the tor circuit, there are never any US-based ones. Is there some special reason for this?

just switched to new VPN and also want to begin using Tails. know how to use Tails + tor just fine, but how do I use my VPN + Tails for max security using Tor?

any help here is appreciated, I know how to setup the VPN just fine without Tails, just new to using Tails

I just downloaded tor the other day. Do I need to install the new update or can I keep using the older version?

[1 Points] Patrick26:

I would like to use the Tor Browser instead of Firefox, but because it doesn't remember my logins and passwords I cannot, because I cannot remember them either. I would accept lower absolute security for this service.
