So... should I pick up this package or not?

I live at an apartment. I placed several orders on the DNM recently. Today I came home to a notice on my door telling me a package had arrived and that I needed to go to the office with my ID for verification purposes to get it.

The thing is, I got all my DNM packages already. They're all accounted for. And, I have some Amazon packages that were supposed to have been delivered today. It's just that asking for my ID is strange. They haven't done that before. On the other hand, my apartment just got purchased by a new company, so it's entirely possible this is some new policy. The old management used to put these notices in our mailbox, the new management said they don't do that because it the mailboxes belong to the USPS and it isn't legal.

I've never heard of LE letting a legitimate package through and then staging a fake package to get a warrant. That just doesn't make sense. None of the oddities here are unexplainable, but I did just buy a lot of drugs and my apartment is very dirty, so I'm looking to be extra careful. I don't want to spend this weekend in jail.

I don't think the police are likely to coordinate a sting operation with the front office of your apartment complex.

All illegal packs accounted for... go get your shit. Clean house just in case, but you should be fine. The ID requirement sounds like the new owners are trying to be by the book.

you're going to "fuck me in the ass" prison...accept it

Refuse package and hide as far as possible. Look up how many controlled deliveries were exactly like this. There may be a warrant out already... goood luck

If it was a CD, the slip would be a USPS form, or on USPS stationary, because the whole thing would be coordinated by a US Postal Inspector. If it was on the building management's letterhead, then I'd say you're fine.

Goto the apartments office or the post office?

If you got your packs already it's probably just the Amazon package

Jesus, paranoia at its finest.

Go get it without your ID. If they ask to go bring it than see if they act weird or suspicious. Sometimes if they're cool than they will give it to you without an ID

if amazon vendor requires signature like alot of ebay stuff does its prolly just that
