Received "sorry we missed you. You have to come pick this up" notice from USPS. Is this a red flag?

This is my 2nd shipment from this vendor. The first was priority mail too and they just left it in my mailbox. The addressee's name is close to, but not exactly mine. What do you guys think? Are they going to bust me at the post office or not even give it to me since the names aren't exact? Thanks

I would recommend calling and seeing if they can re-deliver it. I call those niggas about my drugs all the time when weird shit happens, because they regularly fuck up shit. It's kind of disconcerting, but shit happens.

Seems fishy. Just use your real name man some phony name isn't going to be what saves you from prosecution. Wrong names are an immediate red flag for postal inspectors. Normal priority mail has never been not left in my mail box.

Not a red flag at all

That is standard procedure, they're not just gunna leave your parcel out in the street where some kid could steal it, it could have something valuable in there (like drugs)

You only have one option that makes sense. Go get it! If they found the goods they aren't going to just let it go. But more than likely they are verifying the name since it's slightly different. If you don't get it, it'll get RTS and for sure be uncovered. And they'll pay you a visit. While it seems like you have two options, you only have one rational option

If the package doesnt easily fit in your box or the mail person doesnt feel comfortable leaving it because it could get stolen then theyll leave a note like this. Go get it.

This is not how theu conduct a CD. Conducting a CD at a po is an uncontrolled environment and not what the cops want at all. Too many variables.

And the postal inspector isn't going to jump out and go "ah ha! Got you and your dastardly drugs!"

[3 Points] Retzin:

Thanks to everyone for your replies. I went and got it. No problem.

[1 Points] TDarkKnight:

Well, I think you can't even pick it up at the office if the package doesn't match your ID. See if they can redeliver. If not, then go to the post office. If you get busted, deny that u even know what is in the package.

[1 Points] nobunnyy:

I'm never home for delivery conformation, when I go to my local post office to pick up I am always asked for ID regardless of who is working. The address on my ID doesn't match my current address so they must be verifying name and/or photo. If your name doesn't match I doubt they they will give it to you. Best to ask for redelivery since they never bother to confirm who is receiving the package at the address

Had this happen just last week - dude didn't put NEAR enough postage down. They just wanted me to cover the cost. Went in at the very end of the day, they just wanted me out of there. Didn't ask for ID, just wanted to see the slip they left on my door. Make sure to bring that.

[1 Points] givemeoil420:

i was in a post office in the hood and the teller told me there was a undercover in the PO box room... i guess they dont want to drive into hoods and would rather see if your stupid enough to pickup the felony amount of drugs... case closed...CDs seem to be rare and only used for larger amounts were police think there could be a large organized crime group together waiting....

[1 Points] DickClarkFive:

Many times you can have them try and redeliver it. But if they left a slip, it means it probably didn't fit in the mailbox and the driver didn't feel it would be safe to leave it on your front porch. So, you'd have to be there to receive it if they redelivered.

Other than that, just go pick it up.

Read the little yellow slip closely. Usally, in my case, they will check the box that states they will attempt another delivery and then after that do I only have to go to the P.O.

This is all legit shit by the way.

Sometimes they leave it in my box, sometimes they dont. The size of the packages is not the issue because they all would have fit. At the P.O., sometimes they ask for my ID sometimes they dont. Alot of the shit they do makes no sense but overall, I think the USPS does a great job.
