I am a relatively new vendor to the DNMs, and recent events have had me wondering why there aren't more DNMs focusing exclusively on drugs and drug paraphernalia. Whether or not you are morally against fraud and weapons, or CP and murder-for-hire(then again, maybe every ChiMo deserves a hitman), all of these things just add more controversy and outside visibility to a DNM, and thus more reasons for some letter agency to shut it down and charge the people running it with enhanced charges such as attempted murder and whatever CP charges are out there.
On the other hand, I know that having a drugs-only market will not keep LE away, especially in the United States. We are still in the midst of a(losing) drug war, and a big part of this game we all play requires breaking a law that doesn't make sense, while trying to not get caught by a law enforcement agency that might not even necessarily agree with the laws it is being paid to enforce. Until more sensible drug laws are passed, the farce will continue and the black market will have enough of a markup to allow vendors like me to continue to make money, and LE will be obligated to try to shut us down.
Taking a step back, I realize that my personal distinction between different illegal activities has a lot to do with my own morality and values. I won't try to pretend that my values are somehow morally superior to others' on the DNMs; I am fully aware of how self-serving my hypocrisy is. However, if given a choice, I would rather participate in a secure market that focuses solely on a category that I can agree with, and lets other markets take care of the rest.
Edit: To all the weapons people who are "up in arms" about arms(I like that a lot), I am not intentionally lumping you in with things that you would find morally offensive such as CP, I am simply lumping you in with EVERYTHING ELSE EXCEPT DRUGS. Used cars, real estate, quilts, prostitutes, art, literature, I don't care what it is, if it is not drugs, it goes in the other category. The things I mentioned just happened to be some of the other items that are, were, or could be available on current DNMs. I just want a market that focuses on the things that I see as fitting my use of the DNMs. I think some of the other posts hit it on the head when they said specialization. I want a market that builds upon the lessons of the markets that have already laid the path and that focuses solely on buying and selling high quality drugs.
I agree with this. I think fraud and other fuckery, along with weapons and other tools of violence are all malevolent towards people outside oneself and deserve to have rules and laws set-up against them. I think that just because these things are illegal, as drugs are, it doesnt mean that they should be lumped together with drugs on the same market.
