Instead of a all or nothing mentality of FE.

So day dreaming.... This makes a lot of sense to me feel free to play Devils advocate.

Every time I order from a vendor I'm happy they're receiving processing and sending the order off... Especially if they're a good communicator I feel as if I want to do something as a sign of good faith.... Instead of the vendor just squeezing his butthole and hoping 1. I'm not a scammer and 2. I'm a responsible human being and log back on a finalize when I get my order.

You see many times vendors justification for asking for FE... Is cause they don't want that many coins tied up in escrow which in turn creates a cash flow issue for them.

Any markets or administrators ever think of doing a partial FE option... Where it covers the cost of the vendors product... Or at least a minimum allows the buyer to make a gesture of good-faith? This doesn't create more opportunity for scams and mitigates some risk on the vendors side.

I agree with you in spirit, but I think a partial FE might just be muddying the waters for potential scammers to take advantages of less savvy buyers with a broader variety of options they don't fully understand.

I don't have a "no FE" policy like many, but I will only do it for the top ~5% of vendors in terms of reputation, forum activity and reviews, and length of time as a vendor (as verified by PGP). After I get one order from such a vendor and verify I like the product, I'll usually FE on following orders with them.

It's not required, and I understand why some people prefer not to at all - I just view it more as a courtesy and gesture of faith for the absolute cream of the crop vendors who have consistently gone above and beyond to provide excellent communication, service, etc. I guess some part of me feels they should be rewarded for that, and given the market instability and how much these sellers lose each time one goes down, this is the one small yet tangible way I can help them out.

I haven't been scammed yet, so my tune may change if I eventually am.

What is even the point of escrow if every vendor requires FE? Its stupid as...

I always liked how BMR had a separate escrow for the shipping costs and the product costs.

I don't understand why people would not log back on to finalize? What benefit does it give them, they have still spent money on drugs - Just not released it to the vendor...

Seems like its a dick move more than anything, unless someone else has a better explanation

BMR had something like this that i really liked. shipping cost and product. you could release the funds of either at anytime. so a vendor would making shipping cost a little more than usual and the product cost a little less. you would FE for shipping as a sign of good faith.

Good idea, but I don't know how you'd work it out. I understand a couple of people that lost a lot of money in the different shut downs, but it really just has to come down to trusting someone enough. If they have REALLY earned the trust, it is one thing, but you can't stop people from getting scammed because they think "oh itll be ok this one time"
