Controlled deliver attempt - how can we get them to stop coming back?

UPDATE so far: LE seems to have given up after the first failed attempt. Being that no one is home during the daytime hours and all residents are working multiple jobs they may have come knocking, but no one would have been home... Will update as news comes in.

LE attempted to make a controlled delivery today, but the person named on the envelope hasn't lived at the address in several months. The other person who is still living there told the "postal workers" that the named party wasn't home. Then they asked if either of them knew anyone from the country of origin of the package, and they said no. The "postal workers" then said they would return tomorrow. How should the current resident get them to stop coming back and also not get the other person in trouble. The other person has no idea their name was used for the purpose of mailing.

How do you know it was a CD?

Refuse the package and tell them the person who's name on package hasn't lived there In months or years. That's it don't say anything else. Cut your loses and move on, it cheaper than catching a charge

If you're certain this is a CD (would be nice to know how you're so certain)...

  1. Clean house
  2. Clean house
  3. Clean house
  4. Don't accept pack

You can't be busted for receiving drugs in the mail as you have plausible deniability. Anybody could have sent you shit, you have no control over who sends you mail. They'd use your acceptance of the pack to activate a conditional warrant. That allows them to search for other evidence of drugs/dealing. If you have no evidence of dealing (multiple phones, ziplocks, scales, other drugs etc) AND you deny knowing about the drugs you'll be fine.

BUT... you have a problem. Like a dumbass you've used someone else's name. You no longer have plausible deniability. If you accept drugs in another person's name they'll ask you why? And will try to make out you knew about the pack being drugs. So in this situation, if you're certain it's a CD, clean house and refuse the pack.

Lesson: Don't order drugs in someone else's name. It puts you in a worse situation than using your own.

Tell the mailman cop whatever the person doesn't live here, return it to the sender. You get mail from the previous tenant all the time, so returning it to sender would be standard protocol.

Option A: Go to the pound and get the biggest, ugliest, meanest, hungriest looking dog they have. Don't feed him tonight. Tomorrow the mail won't come in the yard I promise. A postal workers kryptonite is a pit-bull, trust me. After the dog shakes 'em around, feed him well and tell him "good boy" with a belly scratch. You'll never recieve a bill (or any mail) at your door ever again.

Option B: Home Alone boobey traps.

International or domestic?

I don't have any advice, just wanted to say good on you for having your people in the loop, many a person would've fallen right into that trap. Opsec 5/7

Becareful how you word things when talking to the LE.

If you say "That person doesnt live here."

Dont later say "They are not home."

Be consistent.

Let them know that the person no longer lives there, haven't seen them since they left, and have no intention of doing so either. Shit like that.

[1 Points] horavack:

Why does the the other perso0n have noidea that their name w as used for mailing purposes? Fuck, if I was him .......damn, fuck the police worry about the "friend" that just screwed over.
