I had a Dream about a marketing scheme.

Weed. Weedeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed!

Lots of celebrities smoke. Lots of celebrities are well known for smoking it.

So why hasn't some smart, smooth talking vendor shipped and communicated with one of these celebrities, looking for a paid endorsement?

If you can get Snoop or Lil Wayne (or anyone else) talking about your username and product, you would more than likely be drowning in Bitcoins. A few tweets or instagrams would be enough. The markets would get a huge boost. Product would move fast.

So why hasn't someone done this yet? Too much attention to be gained?

Yes, it would make you a huge target to LEO, but as long as the necessary precuations are taken, it should be too much of a risk.

Honestly, what do you all think?

I think that this made me giggle pretty loudly. :)

Most vendors want to stay the fuck out of prison. There's only so many precautions you can take the more high-profile you get. They do the research, make the right investments, get the word out through the community (not the general public, celebrities, and LE), start making good enough $$$ without the Twitter spam, and stay smart; they keep a low profile, they keep their mouths shut and their heads down... and they get away with it.

It's actually fascinating. Dark net vendors have balls and I love 'em for it.

EDIT: Words and things.

Celebrity dealers don't need small potato customers and get cash money rather than bitcoins, I have known people who get a 1099 for a now defunct business as an consultant during the dot bomb time and paid taxes on their drug business since its hard to justify over couple hundred thousand of expenses without some legit income, I won't be surprised to find out that some of their suppliers are on their payroll
