Mail might be delayed for north Florida customers -- or not come at all -- since a semitrailer carrying mail from the U.S. Postal Service caught fire in Alachua County.

The crash happened at about 3:30 a.m. Friday along I-75, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Two tractor-trailers collided and the semitrailer carrying the mail caught fire, troopers said.

The people inside the semitrailers suffered minor injuries, investigators said.

USPS allows customers to track their mail and preview images of mail expected to arrive. Customers can find out if their mail was on the burning truck by clicking here.

One truck is nothing usps has thousands moving daily

lol what it's a few dozen thousand packages at most. I'd be surprised if even a few people here lost something because of that, USPS moves A LOT daily.

We lost a lot of good packs out there, prayers up

Consider your pack "burned".

..... :DDD

I'd be shitting myself if it wasn't a completely burnt truck, if it was totally destroyed the tracking would either say something or get stuck and never update and most vendors have tracking #s anyways . Plus this would only work for like 1 day in northern florida lol

My thoughts and prayers for those folks expecting packs.

What would happen if you were sending something legitimate that was worth some money? Are you just SOL?

Hopefully shipping insurance insures free base crack

Perhaps vendors should up the ante and use fireproof envelopes for protecting our precious goods. They'd fit perfectly in priority envelopes, though if nothing else they would add another barrier. Cheap, too.

some nosy tweaking loader probably stumbled on a qp of shard and thought this would be the best way to make it go missing
