TOR Refuses to change entry node?

I posted this over in /r/TOR sorry I don't know how to x post. But here is the situation.

I have been trying to connect to tor and EVERY SINGLE TIME the entry node is NEDERLANDS (172.66.199.226) I have tried to create new identity and create new circuit for the site. I have done this with the same results 20 times now. I have not even used tor yet due to this issue. Please someone explain why this is happening?

I always get Netherlands, US, France

Creating a new identity does not change the entry guard anymore. Tor changed things so that you keep your entry guard for a long time. Try deleting this file and it might give you a new guard: /Applications/Tor Browser.app/TorBrowser/Data/Tor/state

Over in /r/TOR they were helpful enough to provide this explanation.

If guards didn't exist, you'd have a 100% chance of using a malicious node as your first hop at some point. Obviously I don't know if this specific guard is compromised, but I have no reason to believe it is. And even if it is, the same adversary would have to control a large percentage of exit bandwidth to be able to correlate your activities in a significant way. Also, I think it's silly to think that a relay's alleged geolocation is reason enough to think it's a suspicious relay. GeoIP isn't necessarily very accurate and a powerful adversary would geo-diversify his relays anyway.

I noticed this yesterday too when I booted up my tails machine. Netherlands as the entry node and one or both of the other nodes was also in a Five Eyes nation. I kept renewing my identity for about five minutes just to see what would happen and only twice did I get a circuit that didn't have a node in a five eyes state plus NL as the entry node.

If you use tails, you will have to restart tails and then you will have a new entryguard, i am not sure if you are using tails, if so this might fix your problem.
