If you still have your pc then you weren't really visited.

DBAN.org - In case you want to remove any last bit of trace.

If you just want to encrypt everything - I'm still a big fan of TrueCrypt; just don't use the latest version.

I just suggest hiding your hard drive at a friend's.

If you got a visit, then you are going to encrypt or destroy the evidence

Encrypt

Use VeraCrypt. It supports fake partisans and full disk encryption. Truecrypt is iffy because of the controversy surrounding it being taken down by the supposed NSA gag order.

Destroy - Software only

DBAN.

Destroy - Physical Destruction

This method is the method you should use.

The cost of a hard drive is 100$ and less depending on the size. Just pull out your hard drive, and depose it into a trash can elsewhere in the city.

No information on there is worth your freedom.

please elaborate on the visit <3

If you have physical access to the computer there is no reason you cannot access the BIOS. If its password protected just remove the CMOS battery or flip whatever jumper it is that resets it.... besides what does accessing the BIOS have to do with cleaning your PC unless its preventing you from booting a USB drive.

Use DBAN to wipe everything and then reinstall windows.

if you wanna destroy it for good run killdisk nigga

Uh... buy a sledgehammer?

Stick a drill in it and bury the remains in your yard. Then buy a new hdd, install Windows and make it look like you've been using it for a bit but only 'normal' pc things.

[2 Points] None:

Fuck that, just throw away the entire computer and leave it at that.

[1 Points] None:

Install Truecrypt 7.1A and encrypt the whole system partition, it will encrypt everything on the drive containing windows including free space, and will require a password at every boot.

You can also encrypt every other drives in that PC. It's more efficient than wiping and also faster and you can still use the computer :)

Really just fucking smash and throw acid on it

[1 Points] charliecosmo:

If the cops don't have your gear for evidence why worry about it?

[1 Points] pueblokc:

Can't access the bios? Huh? Wanting to clean it rather than really remove it is continuing to be an idiot. Enjoy that.

[1 Points] Saicotic:

encryption is not a last resort, idiot

[1 Points] darknetpotter:

You should not even have a PC right now. Well, at least not a hard disk. Destroy.

[1 Points] None:

Start usin tails for fuck sake and u won't have this problem.

If you wanna be safe just do a reinstall of windows or put a new hard drive in it's better than being charged.

[1 Points] None:

Yeah there is: replace the damn thing. You're fucking stupid for sleeping with it in. It's like a bomb you know is going to off...but yet you keep toying with it.

[1 Points] None:

Strong magnet to the hard drive, reformat, reinstall.

Uh, what's on there? The most you should have is tor browser and maybe some saved onion links. Everything else is on servers somewhere. You're a dipshit. Delete system 32.

[-1 Points] coltsrule7:

Why clean pc? Cp? Thought tor deletes history, any way using ccleaners tool just rewrite over the deleted data 20 times.

A magnet.
