Weird question about USPS priority mail boxes and Opsec

Before I get to my question, once you read it please don't feel the need to insult me or my noobishness on this subject. I've been buying from the darknet for a long time and am familiar with good opsec. However, I have never shipped anything and can't find the information anywhere else, so here it goes:

My question is, on USPS.com, you can order (free of charge) priority mail boxes. They come unfolded in plastic wrap and all have bar codes. The bar codes seem to all be the same. I ordered a large amount of these for the fuck of it a while back and was wondering if they are in any way tied to my name.

The bar codes make me think they are somehow linked to me purchasing them, though they all have the same bar code. If I (some may say stupidly) wanted to ship drugs in these packages and one was intercepted, is there a way that the information on the box could be used to tell that I purchased it?

They have Universal Product Codes (UPC) on them. That's why they're all the same. Cannot track the boxes with UPC codes. All priority boxes are identical and not tracked, impossible to know their origin.

Disregard what some of these idiots replying with. Those barcodes are UPC as stated by /u/mercilesssgirth. If you want proof positive, just go to the local UPS and pick up a free box from them. Just walk in and take it. Compare and they will be exactly the same.

If it's just the boxes then no, you're safe.

If you're purchasing the boxes with prepaid labels on the then yes, they can track who purchased a particular box since it has a tracking number on the label.

You first said they were free then later on you mentioned purchasing them so I assumed you were looking at the prepaid postage boxes

[1 Points] LetMeGrowThatForYou:

As others have said, those are just boxes. Same boxes you can get at any post office across the country. It's good of you to be concerned, but you have nothing to worry about in this case.

[1 Points] EndYourselfNoob:

If you order something to your home address (even if it's free) of course they can track you.

[-5 Points] Wanted_drugs_2day:

So you're asking if something you bought with a barcode that has tracking as part of the package can be traced to who bought it? Lol

Buy some stamps or something man before you go to jail

If you bought it with cash, probably not. With a debit/credit card, yes. I am sure someone is selling postal supplies on DNM.

Have someone here, a reputable vendor, sell you postal supplies. Or have your friend do it for you. That might work.
