anybody successfully get their multisig transactions off of EIC?

I only had one, so I figured I would learn the process once the transaction completed.. Didn't bother copying down the redeem script yet. (unfortunately, it was a rather large transaction)

I've heard talk of a 30 day autofinalize timer? Any truth to this?

If so, what information does one need once the autofinalize time has expired? Thanks-C

Uh yeah how would the auto finalize know where to send coins? Itd called timelock and its in the redeem script you didnt copy down.

[1 Points] The_fire_bird:

If you didn't copy the redeem script, do you know what all three public keys are?

If you don't, you're at the mercy of the so-called auto-finalise, which I wouldn't advise you to put any faith in. You're probably fucked

Actually, wihat I said a few minutes ago isn't quite true. Your transaction partner could have coped down the redeemScript. If they did, ask them for it. The redeemScript is the important piece of the puzzle.

Why would you use multisig and then not copy down the redeem script? That's like buying a bike lock with no keys.

You probably also didn't copy down what you're referring to as a auto finalise timer which is the time lock transaction. If you had it you'd be able to release it to yourself after a set time which I think was 45days for buyers and 30 for vendors.

31 day timelock to the vendor.

Just wondering, what percentage of your EIC sales were mutlisig?

I ask coz so many are salty about EIC exiting and tbh, they're idiots who have all my sympathy for not heeding the warnings others of this sub have posted.

Like, how the hell did so many people do escrow deals on a Multisig market?!? It's seriously fucking with my head. Do people not understand how mutlisig works??!? If it's just laziness, then they really can't complain.

Sorry, I'm just hell disappointed.

yes, 5 out 6 remaining multisig orders i managed to finalize in last 2 days offline with help of my buyers who received and finnalized.

1 out of 6 i havent made contact with yet so i may need to wait for the 30 day timelock.

However, i took a decent central escrow hit this time around..

dont understand it.. these guys seemed so promising and if they were theifs, they coulda likely grew this project huge. maybe they arent greedy thieves. or maybe its something else - my fingers are crossed cuz i REALLY liked that marketplace functionality.

  1. Without redeemscript OR the 3 pubkeys (vendor, buyer, market) - you are fucked i think. MAYBE the buyer can be contacted and they have the redeemscript? And im not sure but EIC admins kinda pushed the system of using a single pubkey per party so maybe they have the same pubkey too...

But if u cannot recreate that redeemscript, ur fucked.

I made that mistake with 1 large transaction on TMP. I had buyers and my priv keys. But I didnt realize i ALSO needed the redeem script (or the ability to recreate redeemscript with the 3 pubkeys).

As of 2016 (2 years later roughly) - i still see a 14 btc in a multisig wallet and nothing buyer or I can do about it (I was the fucked one tho).

i totally forgot to check but did anybody follow the EIC commission portion of the multisig cashout? I dont know if it was always one way or the other but if the commission goes to EIC wallet and sits there, that might be decent hope they come back.

If it gets manually moved shortly after, they def wont be back.

I wont hold my breath but the only thing that keeps me hoping is that they just didnt seem to have gorwn enough yet but also seemed to have potential to grow in 2016. wtf.. hansa seems like they might be able to carry the torch of multisig next..

use multisig 100% of the time people. stop the being the fool in market admins eyes. Im tired of it and id love to smack the shit out of one of them purely for principle. Im not losing tons but lets just say itd been better to buy a car than watch the money be swiped from my pocket by the same trick about a dozen times.
