Beating an addiction is like anything else, it just takes practice. It took me a few tries to quit cigarettes but it wasn't impossible. I've had other habits and was able to step down off them. Taking a break from marijuana after decades of use was really strange and difficult but I survived. After you beat an addiction, its easier to take or leave that thing in the future. Its really as simple as you have to want to quit whatever it is. Well that is my opinion anyway, your mileage may vary.
