paranoid or legitimate concern?

USPS came earlier than normal today (as did UPS/FedEx) and behind them there was an LE investigation truck, it looked like a mobile crime lab. The mail was delivered to the mailbox, the LE truck went past USPS and around the corner, and I never saw it again. I'm not sure if it was just a coincidence the truck was behind the post man or if it was purposefully following behind. my neighborhood is quiet in the winters and fairly well off - we have a neighborhood officer who sometimes drives around and that's about it.

so after I roamed the neighborhood thoroughly for a couple hours without seeing the LE truck, my parent got the mail and found a totally destroyed package of foam ear plugs she had bought off amazon. there was a red notice on the package as well as a pink slip from USPS that said the package got wet and they were sorry. Get this: the shipment was from the UK (and I cant for the LIFE of me figure out why the fuck she got foam earplugs from the UK) but now I'm extremely freaked out.

I'm not sure how much more information I should give due to my current state of paranoia......any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dude, totally being paranoid. LOL. I'm sure it was something totally unrelated, maybe something in the neighborhood going on. If they were gonna bust you, they wouldn't be that dumb about it.

earplugs from the UK

The UK is known for their high quality ear plugs. They are absolute artisans. /s That is funny she ordered ear plugs from UK. LOL.

Unless you get a love letter in the mail you should be straight bro. Especially if you're ordering small amounts as you say. International mail always gets battered/abused no matter what it is in my experience.

Well when is the expected delivery date? Also I highly doubt they would follow directly behind the truck that's not very C.D. like

Did you order a personal amount of something? Even if you ordered a zip of bud it seems unlikely nowadays for a CD, unless you live in Wyoming or something...

It's a closed sub division? Or is it open to thru traffic?

LE usually opens the package in a manner that they can seal it back up for a possible CD. I'd say the destroyed pack really did just get wet.

As for the van, unless you're in a gated community and it had no reason to be there, you've probably seen it go by your house a million times when you weren't waiting on a DNM package and you just never noticed it. Probably just a weird coincidence.

If it was a LE operation what would have been it's purpose? To see if your house was at your address? Three seconds on Google Street View would probably be as fruitful as quickly driving by once.

I am imagining LE ripping into the package expecting something good and being like, "Wtf is this?" Lol. Was the tape green?
