Guide for newbies, are you being scammed?

Advice for first time buyers on how to tell the difference between a scammer and a vendor:

A. Basics

1.When using alphabay, check all comments in the forum and feedback in the market about the seller you are considering buying from.

2.NEVER trade outside of the market.

3.if a seller asks you to FE but doesn't have permission it is likely a scam.

What is escrow?

Escrow collects your payment, then release payment to the trader or seller only when you have confirmed that the product has arrived and is what you paid for.

(FE)Finalize Early

you can see in the market people with the black FE symbol are the ONLY vendors allowed to ask for FE

Have you been scammed?

If you have bought something and there is a problem, you should first try to contact the vendor . There may be a legitimate reason for the problem.

If you are not satisfied with the response and suspect that it may be a scam you can report it on the forums and dispute in the market

We encourage you to report scams to an alphabay staff member via PM or the report a scam page. This helps us to warn people about current scams, monitor trends and disrupt exit scams where possible. Please include details of the scam contact you received, for example, pm and other proof.

i hope this was helpfull if you have any questions post them below (;

Look at negative vs positive comment ratio. If seller has some negs for the last month (+3 neg references) then its a biiig warning! Especially big no-go is when negs are telling a story about seller not responding (or multiple parcels are lost. One seller against multiple buyers? Guess who is right?). Good sellers have only positives, you better pay a bit extra $ but get no headache and security. Its good feeling to go for premium seller and be sure that shit will arrive :)
