So here is what happened (and yes I know, what I did was a series of very stupid and easily avoidable mistakes, but hindsight is 20/20):
I'm still living with my parents. Only recently turned 18, but I still can't ship to my house because if my parents found a package, I'd be fucked.
I asked a friend if I could ship to her house, saying I would just be shipping stuff like glass pieces and vape pens and such that my parents wouldn't approve of (1st mistake).
Two of the items I ordered were from the UK (2nd mistake).
I've ordered to her house before, successfully, but she just texted me saying her dad (she lives with her dad) just got a call from customs (I'm guessing US), and he has to go to court on Friday. First of all, what the hell? I didn't think someone had to go to court if something got caught in customs... from what I've heard, you get a nice letter saying that your address has been flagged, and your packages will be watched from now on. Sometimes, there are CDs. But never a court date the second something gets caught in customs.
Also, the package is in my name, not his, so that's another thing that confused me.
What should I do? I've already been wiping my phone and computer. Any advice will be appreciated.
Customs does not summon you to court through a phone call. Your friend stole your shit. Open a PO box.
