I might be naive, but I consider linux to be incredibly powerful and secure for people with a modicum of computer fluency. TAILS is great for DNM-specific activities. When you start torrenting, gaming, using lots of crazy browser add-ons, and downloading custom software is where you run into problems. TAILS makes all of these things very difficult intentionally.
