How does law enforcement really not have the ability to find vendors?

I just don't see how hard it could be. Maybe I am not seeing the issues but at least finding them shouldn't take so long if they tried.

Order package. See what it looks like. Order another one to different location few days or weeks later to see if vendor uses same shit.

Sign up for informed delivery, track package, stop it and find where it came from. Set cameras up and watch for drop offs.

Am I wrong? Am I the only one who thinks like this?

They're just not smart enough.

They couldn't even catch me and I'm a complete idiot with the worst opsec in the world.

[19 Points] GirlsDontLikeIce:

1) It's the vendors job to avoid detection. So you are not a vendor you can't pretend to think like a Vendor.

2) It's LE job to find vendors. You are not LE so you can't pretend to think like LE.

When someone has a job to do they are a very dangerous person. Just look at our governments.

[5 Points] CROdrugs:

I believe they are more focused on street dealers and gangs. They're the biggest problems becaue they cause lots of deaths and robberies and other nasty stuff. Someone ordering drugs over internet is pretty peaceful and doesn't produce a lot of problems like some other stuff.

They bust vendors all the time, but they don't usually actively search them out, it's almost always the vendor's horrible opsec giving them away. They're low hanging fruit, and vendors who know what they're doing are grateful that LE is distracted by them.

I was a smallish vendor on one of the long dead markets and I was never worried because my opsec was as flawless as I could make it. I don't like to detail it as much as some of the other posters here have, but great opsec is easily achievable if you have half a brain and are motivated.

Edit/P.S. OP, I think you're watchin too much TV.

Here's an interesting book: https://www.ebooks.com/1378817/drug-interdiction/steffen-george-s-candelaria-samuel-m/

Bottom line: they just don't have the resources to do the work it takes to indict the bottom 90% of vendors.

[1 Points] bickerstaffe:

A complete lack of resources!

In all honesty mate you just need to think what you're saying through a bit more

[1 Points] CookiesSF:

Sure they could, but you’re missing the point is that them ordering only starts their investigation report

Whats up DOXX? What do you think?

[1 Points] Avengerhack:

Vendors should never give out tracking in the first place.

Those who do send with tracking usually have someone at their disposal who sends it for them, better yet, having someone on the "inside" who can label the packages and send them with tracking without having to visit a post office.

[1 Points] ZigzaGoop:

So you wanna setup a camera outside a blue box and search everyone who uses it?

[0 Points] elloman13:

Resources and politics.

[0 Points] _PrinterPam_:

They bust plenty, though in many cases it's because of other stupid shit those vendors are doing locally. The rest of us...are clever, careful, and resist complacency.
