Sourcing Rule Clarification

Community,

There has been confusion and perhaps anger regarding new policy on sourcing. I won't go into the details as to why sourcing is a big problem for this sub but wanted to expand on new policy and penalty. We want the community to report sourcing posts and help us out. However, we also expect the community to know the rules around the community and we have started to issue warnings or bans to people who provide information on sourcing posts. We know this may be controversial but because sourcing has become such an issue, we need to also cut the stem from the other side - those who offer suggestions to a sourcing post.

Please, do not feed sourcing posts! Report. But at the very least, do not reply and contribute to the problem. If you have any questions, let us know.

~Econ

EDIT: From cidilicious:

If you receive a message via pm about a direct deal, report it.
If you see a post that is sourcing, report it.
If you see someone that is trying to source inside a post, report it.
If swim asks you to post on their behalf to get drugs for them, punch them and then brag about it to your friends.

From Econ

If you reply to a sourcing post "helping out", you'll get a ban penalty

This clarifies nothing.

/u/Theeconomist1 why are they keeping the new mods identity secret.

Do you agree with this?

I thought there was a moratorium put on "Rare Product Inquiries" with regards to sourcing - are you lifting that?

[1 Points] murderhomelesspeople:

Yes, they will ban you!

If you want a picture of my hairy balls then source

Was there not, at one point, a subreddit specifically for (darknet) sourcing? If so, is that thing still around?
