i dont believe these usps mail delays people are describing

i've been seeing a lot of these posts saying people are waiting 3 weeks for priority mail, 7 days for express, etc. and i'm having a hard time believing this is just USPS during the holidays and not specifically a DNM thing. it just doesn't make sense that usps would be able to get away with not delivering express (which i understand is overnight) mail in 7 days. if i used usps for legit mail, work or personal, this wouldn't be acceptable and i'm sure others think the same.

maybe vendors aren't shipping (for whatever reason - fewer markets so more orders coming in, overwhelmed, holidays, etc.) and buys are avoiding confronting them on these issues. seriously though usps was guaranteeing any mail sent by dec 15th would arrive by christmas so if you dont get your shit by then, its probably not usps.

"holiday delays" are just a vendor being slow and not shipping when they should. delays shouldnt be over 1-2 days

[13 Points] None:

you know the average box turtle can ship faster than USPS most of the time

[13 Points] GrandWizardsLair:

They must think TigerDirect is a darknet market because the Grand Wizard's computer equipment has been just as delayed as his drugs.

Oh, a thread on what vendors do by someone who doesnt vend, using their singular experience to cast a decree over a vast network.

When you've spent the better part of two weeks spending eight hours a day chasing customer's packs through a horribly inefficient and overloaded system being run by holiday casual and temporary staff, in the season where we're doing almost double our usual trade and working doubletime to keep not only our standards up, but maintaining levels and quality of stocks consistent when the suppliers are facing huge demands themselves, hit us up.

Until then, start threads appreciating your luck at having drugs dropped to your lounge with a few clicks of a button without any hiccups.

Blue viking came through for me. Placed order on Sunday, received thursday. Cosmic_ Conscious on the other hand....

[3 Points] gwernisthenewpine:

i can say that there was a weird clog in the system over the weekend. clearnet and darknet alike.. but it only added 2-3 days to the experience that otherwise wouldn't have been there. apart from that, everything seems operationally normal.

that being said, screw the vendors that don't ship when they're supposed to -_- at the very least, just keep the customer aware of the holdup so they don't attribute that "extra" time to hypersensitivities toward a CD for their half an ounce lol

I haven't had any noticeable delays so I'm inclined to agree. Especially int'l, I think it's just a screen for vendors to be more lazy or take more safety by slowing shipping times.

[2 Points] Jizzlyfaway:

Stop denying possibilities because of other possibilities and the fact that it didn't happen to you... obviously vendors do get lazy and blame it on delays but that doesn't mean some peoples mail isn't generally coming in slow. You can't know for sure until your package arrives and you can check the tracking, or until a vendor gives it. Also if you're not the ones experiencing delays then saying that is pretty biased, don't you think?

Do people not realize not all sorting centers are going to be backed up as the next??

[2 Points] deathgriphold:

not all mail is delayed of course, but with a massive influx of packages mistakes and delays are bound to happen

[1 Points] yalldontknowjack:

Haven't noticed any delays, clear or dark.

[1 Points] CandyKoloredKlown:

eBay and other clearnet purchases are taking an extra day at my house, however I had one package today that was originally due Monday that had been tied up at a sorting center in a large city one hour from my home for three days. It seems some are moving faster than others, but with no real explanation.

[1 Points] shillsshillsgoaway:

Thinking the same thing. The most any of my packs got delayed in the last week is only a day.

[1 Points] None:

all of my amazon orders have been marked delayed. books, mostly. but all my dnms on time. go figure

[1 Points] jumbotron123556:

Considering what just happened/may happened with SB, this causes me some concern as well. It is almost like the first thing vendors do is claim shipping delays by USPS. What if SB had actually been shipping out each package 3 hours after order was placed, and the LE was seizing his packages from the post office daily, theoretically someone could have figured out that the package was seized if it didn't show up in 3 or 4 days. But because everyone thinks shipping delays are the norm, we don't worry too much about this anymore.

I thought the whole reason vendors started using priority shipping is to ensure that packages land quickly, and so that they can notice a red flag in case the package takes 3 days+ AFTER being sent out

EDIT: Haven't dealt with SB in a while, but from my experience he is a very stand up guy. I am only using him as an example in my fictional case. :)

[1 Points] topknotch89:

waiting on 2 packages to land. One i have the tracking its been stuck in major city Hub since the 16th, the other one i dont have tracking but vendor marked it as shipped on the 13th. really trying my patience.

[1 Points] Dnm_cunt:

Royal Mail are crap this time of year. Waiting at least 4-5 days for first class post. Even special delivery stuff is getting delayed. Couriers are fine though, getting stuff next day.

Just imagine the sheer volume of christmas cards and present that are going through the postal system. Most mornings there will be literally too much post for the postman to carry so they have to leave it for the next day. Which causes a backlogs obviously.

[1 Points] RandomAsssAccount:

I had a priority package that was processed on Friday and did not arrive until the following Thursday. It is very possible and likely that all usps shipments are being delayed to some degree.

I also had an international shipment that went out between Nov 11-14th that did not arrive until after Dec 15th.

3 weeks for priority seems a bit much, but I've personally seen 7+ business days happen more than once on 2-day packages

[1 Points] None:

If you live in bum-fuck no-where, chances are you might be affected. If you're near a main hub or distro facility, shouldn't really affect you more than a day.

[1 Points] None:

Definitely delays on priority. Express, I doubt it bc I think there are repercussions if they don't deliver it by s certain time. With express they usually have other people than your normal mail carriers running around delivering them just to make sure they get there on time

[1 Points] supplementcollector:

Im a clearnet vendor and shipped same day 2 states away priority took 4 days and 5 days seperatly express took 2 to 3 days. the struggle is real

[1 Points] nanjingmassacre:

why is it so hard to believe there are delays in such a massive system.

they might not be as extreme as some claim to be, and im sure some vendors scamming are taking advantage of the fud.

but still

[1 Points] kycrankstar:

Fuck I know and it seems to be more prevalent to certain types of drugs. For example xanax, I know two xanax vendors that will blaze the package to you in 2-3 days - sinmed and pharmX yet when I order meth or some other hard drug it takes them to the last minute to accept the order, then another day or so before they mark it shipped. Then if I even get it (have over $300 tied up in disputes now) I do the walk of shame to the PO for 3 fucking weeks and finally get it. So far out of 6 meth vendors I have only had one send me something I was happy with. The rest was powder bullshit or msm rerock.

Now the week of cyber monday first class got delayed for weeks over that but I still got priority in 3-4 days.

[1 Points] None:

I just waited two weeks on a domestic package from South Pole, I finally disputed it and he claims "oops my shipper forgot to ship it, it will be going out monday". At least he refunded me, but damn now I have no LSD and I'm gonna be away from my drop for a while so I can't re-order with someone else.

[1 Points] tjelectric:

You know you can always check tracking once pack is received?

I had 3 packages, one DNM 2 clearnet, all priority. took 6 and 5 days, respectively. MyUSPS has also, sadly, been a bit glitchy as well, not showing some of my packages at all, even after I have them in hand. Prior to the holidays, this rarely happened.

So delays are happening pretty consistently, and even USPS is now quoting priority as 3-4 rather than 2-3, as they have in the past.

While I agree that many are using the holidays as an excuse this always feels so disingenuous and dumb to me--why wouldn't you just check tracking once getting the pack to verify whether the vendor actually is honest when marking it shipped?

[1 Points] ignig:

i put an order with MMM on Sunday and no pack as of Friday.

[1 Points] USPSBLOWSCHUNKS:

I had one pack take 8 days to move about 120 miles shipped priority, and I'm waiting on another from a few states over on day 7 without showing. I hate usps right now.

[1 Points] Theeconomist1:

I had 2 separate packs I ordered and BOTH packs took almost 10 days each. One was 9 days I think and the other 7 or 8 days. This is for what is normally a 2 day journey. The journey is a pretty direct one too, so I can imagine if a vendor lived in a rural area and the customer lived in a rural area (or not on a direct logistics path), I can totally see a pack taking 2-3 weeks. My pack hops a plane and its here. Easy. And it still took 10 days

[1 Points] AstraPharmaceuticals:

Just got a priority pack in 4 days from across the US

[1 Points] rebel101150:

Ordered from medibuds, should have arrived today. Got a letter from across the state from the 16th, same date medibuds package should have been sent out and he said it was on it's way (15th around midnight or so, so it should have definitely have been sent out by the 16th). So a birthday card arriving faster than priority is kind of a meh situation. If it doesn't arrive tomorrow i'll be concerned but it is coming medibuds who ships from the west coast I believe. I messaged him but haven't heard anything back yet.

I had ordered on a monday, says 2-3 day. Says it shipped Monday, Sat, I message. Says it didn't move, then did and will be there wed (a week later) Wed arrives, says it was standing still for some reason but was updated to that following monday, so monday to monday. WHy would mail be at a stand still? It is green and less than 30g. I am at least hoping he is slow or scamming, rather than the cops are trying to pop me for a fucking small bag of grn

[0 Points] justbitethepillow:

i believe it, cause ive had them- from vendors that ive ordered with consistently before with very timely shipping

[-1 Points] pothead2015:

Exactly and this is what I keep telling people that the USPS isn't fucking up on all of these express shipments because they are guaranteed to be delivered within that 1-2 day range and if not then they have to be refunded. Just all of the posts I have seen that are DNM related alone would cost the USPS thousands. Could you imagine all of the legitimate packages they would owe on as well if they were truly late like this. Basically, for the most part this FUD is coming from lazy ass or scamming vendors that are taking advantage of the holiday season to claim how slow the USPS is now. I have not seen any sign of it whatsoever on dozens of clearnet orders and multiple darknet purchases. Not a single one has been late.
