So, I have used Backtrack for quite a long time. What's better? BTR or Tails??

what do you think?

Tails.

In my opinion, I wouldn't be surprised to find Backtrack or Kali backdoored by the US Gov. Just run Ubuntu and apt-get all your tools. That's essentially what Backtrack and Kali are.

Honestly btr isnt built to be an anonymous operating system. Tails is designed so that not even data on the file system leaves any trace of itself elsewhere in the OS. I dont think any other OS really does that. For example, one of my computers is a mac and it leaves resident data everywhere. If i open a file in notepad the location of the file is stored in recent data. I've tried to encrypt my pgp keychain inside a truecrypt volume but apparently mac stores the actual keys, or copies of them, somewhere else; because even without that truecrypt volume I can encrypt messages to vendors.

So having a OS specifically built for anonymity is a great benefit.

Tails. You could run it in a vm for easier access.
