Alright, Electrum is really pissing me off

So before it would take FOREVER for Electrum to recover my wallet via seed words. Then, it finally did, so I was able to add some money to my wallet. Now, I want to open up Electrum so I can send some money to a market. Well, when I tried to recover my wallet and I get through the seed words and password, nothing happens after that. So I go to re-opem Electrum, my wallet isn't recovered, Electrum goes from "offline" to "synchronizining" then to "online" for a second, and then back offline. It keeps doing this and will not recover, and if it does recover my wallet will keep saying "synchroninzing" forever and doesn't ever go online.

Wtf?? Can anyone help. Thank you!

Try doing this:

Tools > Network

Uncheck Auto-connect

Click on a different server in the list of Default Servers.

Hit OK

Try switching to a different Electrum server. I've had to do that before

I think I figured the solution to that synchronizing problem; in my personal trials, I've noticed that I may have setup Electrum to only run when TOR is open or maybe Electrum is just like that.

It's definitely a glitchy wallet though. I'm looking into those USB looking type sticks that hold your coins.

Electrum for Tails is buggy as shit, I feel you man. Try changing servers in network settings, however that still doesn't always work. I exit and reopen it several times as well, and sometimes that helps. Alot of the time I'll end up having to restart Tails a couple times...

What version of electrum are you using? if it's the one that came with tails, try upgrading it to a newer one. This will break it from opening via the menu bar, but it runs better.

I found it easier not to use Electrum. Too much of a hassle and may leak information if not used correctly. Generate a wallet at Bitaddress.org and then sweep it to a Blockchain wallet. Can access it from any browser (hopefully onion version). Good luck!
