I am thinking of getting a PO Box or a private mail box but I am just curious how easy they are to get and especially how easy they are to get with a name other than your own. Any ideas would be appreciated. Do we really need photo ID, etc?
Questions about PO Boxes in USA: USPS vs. other private boxes? Is identification needed to rent one?

For USPS you need 2 or 3 forms of ID. 1-state/ federal government issued ID(drivers liscecne) 2-i.e. car registration 3-i.e. car insurance
I did this with all my real info and ship DNM packages there all the time, adressed to my real name...it always works out fine. But there are random drug dogs that walk around 3 times a month at usps (at least where my homie works). And they can not search your mail without a warrent.
Whereas with priviate shipping companies like fed ex and UPS, they can open your mail if they feel like it. But they offer nice services like TXTs apon package arrive at UPS. but its double the price of USPS.
Just get a box with usps, $30/3 months..

Maybe others with more experience can chime in, but I thought getting a PO Box or mailbox in another name is a bad idea. Doesn't it add additional fraud charges?
Honestly if you are just ordering personal amounts getting it shipped in your own name is pretty safe. I guess if you are trying to obfuscate your name from the vendor, that is understandable, but still not sure if the benefits outweigh the risks. If you are doing it for protection from the police, they'll figure it out and if they want to get you they probably will be able to by staking out the mailbox. But that is pretty rare for personal amounts I imagine. However, I thought if it did come down to that and the cops were involved, there would be additional, pretty serious, charges added. Also, you might lose some plausible deniability as well. If you make up a name, they have proof you are checking that mailbox in this fake name, and then you receive drugs, it'll be hard to explain your way out of that one. Just my personal thoughts/opinions. What I say is what I had gathered through my own research.
Two photo ids.
