Always use different passwords on the various markets, so how is everyone securely managing large numbers of passwords?

I'm getting to a point where I can't mentally keep track of the various passwords. Ideally, I'd like to generate random passwords, but I need some way to manage them securely. How is the community handling it?

I was planning to PGP a plain text list. Then all I need to remember is one PGP pass phrase for the decrypt.

There is a multiplatform program called keepass which randomly generates and stores passwords in an encrypted database. I highly recommend it.

I have several password "roots" that I "salt" differently for each site. I store as plaintext the root mnemonic + salt.

For example I might list Reddit: the_long_password#!99

I'm pretty sure I've got aspergers or something, but at least I can remember dozens of complex passwords (16 ch4r@[t3rz) so that's nice I guess.

or use lastpass.com on a secure connection

I do what you do. I just keep my passwords in a PGP encrypted text file. Just make sure you never lose the private key!

Keepass is the way to go..just remember one strong password. And like stated above they have a password generator you can create a key up to 164 bits i think ...

Do what I did. Bring up notepad, type in all your info, encrypt it to yourself with PGP, and then all you need to remember is your PGP password.

If anyone sees any flaws in this, let me know.
