Nearly 100k subscribers.. Idk how I feel about that..

Don't get me wrong, congrats to this sub and how far it's come but I'm not sure how I feel about the rapid growth of the DNM's and this subreddit. I wish everyone had the opportunity and the resources to use the DNM's because well.. they're awesome.. but obviously the more traffic and popularity the markets have the more resources and more power LE will put in to stop it. I was content with the size of the markets when Agora was peaking around a year ago, the average person had no clue that it even existed. Just today I was at the store I overheard some teens talking about 'buying weed online' and my heart sank. I miss when no one knew what was going on and buying was a breeze because of the subtleness and discreteness of it. Now everyone and there mother has heard of buying drugs online, or so it seems. What do you guys think..? I say buy your drugs, sell your drugs, do whatever, but don't advertise the DNM's.

Most of those subscribers are users who have used a throwaway, a very large amount actually. The upvote/downvote and amount of comments are very indicative of that, as most subreddits with 100,000 subscribers have much more active numbers compared to here.

Secondly, we live in drug prohibition, of course ways to get drugs are going to spread, whether that is good for the DNMs or not. People using speakeasies during alcohol prohibition probably held the same feelings as you. Everyone wants good things to last, and most people realize that as more people become aware of that good thing, the higher amount of people that will spoil the good in someway arrive.

As long as you practice good OPSEC and order from vendors with good stealth, your chances of getting caught have not risen that much higher than years before.

I highly disagree, the more people that use it the harder it is for LE to stop it. Widespread usage of the dnms is essential in the fight against drug prohibition imo.

As for the kids who you heard talking about "buying weed online" who cares, more low hanging fruit.

[2 Points] C0INX4:

People have been selling drugs online since the dawn of the internet.

I am displeased with the influx of youths and their nonsense questions answered by a search function. But that may not be new, maybe it's just me, I don't ask anyone for something that I could do myself. Buuuut, I do like being surrounded by low hanging fruit.

You're just worrying about something you can't control. You can't stop people from talking so just enjoy it while it lasts.

[1 Points] dn_tanimoto:

do mods have access to stats regarding active subs/non throwaways?

would be curious to know.

The honeymoon days of dnms being a little known secret are unfortunately coming to a close. Given that though, there are still a surprising amount of people who don't know about dnms or simply brush it off as "buying drugs on the internet."

5-10 are me if it makes you feel better.

Far as i'm aware its still unknown by the average Joe. Most people say they wouldn't take the risk. Haha!
