Just curious how many vendors out there have started to use their own sites and darknet hosting rather than a darknet market, or alongside using a market.
How many vendors run their own sites?

As a vendor, it's something I have seriously been considering.
The only thing that's held me back so far is how to build a relationship of trust with customers when there's no escrow or review services available to keep me as a vendor honest. What I came up with is that I can keep a presence on the marketplaces, whatever ones are currently open, and have an ultra low priced item(a few cents...however low each marketplace will allow me to sell something for) that is used exclusively for feedback from my private site. That way, users can provide feedback if they choose to, and returning users are able to communicate with me directly in the event of a catastrophic market event.
I suspect that some sort of decentralized method like this will be used in the near future...similar to the piracy transition from services like Napster to Torrents.

I was (and will again, once the markets stabilize a bit more - and my supplier gets more stock) resell legal research chemicals that are available from www.strengthsupply.ca (clearnet obviously). If you order directly from them, please tell them National Direct sent you.
