So this morning I finally got my refund money in that I've been waiting forever for. I wake up and I'm excited as fuck because TODAY IS THE DAY I GET TO BUY DRUGS.
I go to make my purchase. I go to Coinbase, where the price is ~$10 less for the amount I'm looking for than the lowest offer on Localbitcoins. I purchase my BTC, which credits to my wallet instantly, then send them to my account. In around the 45 minutes it takes to get to my account, BTC drops like $20. I'm now about $5 short on my order, and BTC is still dropping.
So I go back to Coinbase and get $10 more in BTC. Again, instantly. Send it to my account, again. If I was using any other service, this would be a gigantic pain in my ass. Running to the bank again, paying exorbitant fees, etc.
Not even 5 minutes later my friend texts me and says she wants some MDA and some of Angelina's famous edible suckers. My friend does not use any DarkNet Markets, so she relies on me to make the purchases. Now I place yet another order. Instant BTC. Lather. Rinse. Repeat.
Get the picture? It can be a real pain in the ass sometimes to get verified. They require your bank account, your phone number, and a few other details that will require you to tumble your coins when the time comes for you to make a purchase. I know it skeeves some people out to have all of this info tied to your Bitcoins, but:
There is zero evidence that LE is going to come after you for your small-time or even big-time purchases. Vendors and admins are the only ones on their radar.
If you tumble your coins, you have no worries.
For real though, get Coinbase Level 2 verified. It will make buying BTC incredibly easier.
God dammit, I fucked up the title. This is going to annoy the shit out of me.
