Package "Delivered" but nothing received. What do I do now?

I ordered a package from a very reputable vendor (OGBryan) 10 days ago. I messaged him yesterday asking if he could give me an ETA, because it had been 9 days, and he claims his packages arrive in 2-4. He responded saying that the tracking information says that the package was delivered on Saturday, however I have not received anything.

It is very unlikely that it was stolen post-delivery because all my packages are dropped indoors, not in view of the street.

I'm not really sure what to do now. I messaged OGB telling him this, and asking how he wants to proceed (BTC still in escrow). I've read that in cases like this (but not DMN-related), when a package is marked as delivered and not received, it is worth calling the post office to inquire about the package. How stupid of an idea would this be, considering the contents?

What are my options? Does anyone else have related experiences (and their resolutions) they could share?

If it were me I'd call the post office. I have a friend that I ship stuff to and she's called the post office bitching about her packs being late. Of course she's a lawyer who says that she's waiting on important legal documents but after she talked with the postmaster none of her packs have been late again. Ymmv.

Of course I'm not shipping her anything like weed that would be in a box or even padded envelope. It always just looks like exactly what she said it is - documents.

Is there an apt office they could have left it at?

This happened to me once too. I suspect the dealer sent an empty package to a different location in my zipcode to scam me because I checked the mail in the morning and afternoon the day it was supposedly marked delivered, and there was no package. It should have gone in the mailbox that locked. The vendor tried to get me to FE before Agora support told them to use the reimbursement tool. I called the post office to ask about it, submitted a ticket, and they never got back to me. The reship came on time but was left out on the street so it is possible the original package got stolen, but I doubt it ever arrived given the way the vendor treated me. All in all a waste of time and money but at least I hope there's not a package out there with my name on it... Sorry I can't be more help, but we either got scammed, ripped off in real life, or the postal service just fucked up.

I will also admit that I'm a bit scared to name the vendor because they have my information. The product was average so I probably wouldn't order from them again anyway. But I do wish we had a better way to call out vendors that screwed us.

I once ordered a small amount of Mushrooms that never arrived. The tracking showed it was delivered, and I even spoke to my mailman. He said he put it in my mailbox. I'm pretty certain one of my neighbors took it, they are hardcore opiate addicts.

OGBryan is just so well established as a vendor, it's difficult to imagine there would be anything wrong on his end. He was my first order 2 years ago and I have had many orders from him since.

Sounds like your postman or neighbor is stealing from you. I've dealt with OGBryan countless times... I send him BTC directly, not even through a market, and he comes through with 2 day ship everytime.

Like you I've heard stories of packages being marked shipped and not arriving. Usually what happens is the mail man marks the packages delivered in the morning and then package gets lost in the truck.

Despite this I'd not recommend calling to inquire. By doing that you loose all plausible deniability.

People will say it's a stupid idea to contact the post office but honestly I would. They would have no idea what's inside
