Best Whole Disk Encryption Software

What do you guys recommend as far as Whole Disk Encryption? I am running Windows 10 and I am having a hard time finding something, besides bitlocker and I guess my version of Windows doesn't come with Bitlocker. Any help would be appreciated

Veracrypt or LUKS. In your case, Veracrypt is the best you can do. You can set up a hidden OS with it which is neat. You're presented with a password prompt pre-boot and then depending on which password you enter it boots a certain OS. It's more of conceptual coolness to 99% of users but there's not supposed to be a way to prove another OS exists on the disk using that. I'm not a data forensics guy though so I'm not able to independently verify that.

LUKS, you should not use windows. Use Ubuntu if you need an easy to use linux.

Seriously ditch windows 10. Get a spin of Linux and luks all the way

As everyone else says, Linux is your best bet - I recommend the 'Backbox' distro, its lightweight, stable, has a ton of security features built in (including whole disk encryption) and its Ubuntu based so easy to wrap your head around if you're new to it all.

If you insist on using Windows then i would recommend Symantec Drive Encryption (you'll need to torrent it) it not only offers drive encryption but also the most user friendly PGP tool I have come across.

This thread should be stickied somewhere for sure, some people would call us paranoid but fuck it better safe than sorry.

For Windows, use TrueCrypt 7.1a. It's completely unbreakable, and locks your HD completely among start so you can't even boot it up without the password. After a set number of attempts, it completely wipes everything. I have mine set to 10 attempts for a randomly generated password that has never been written down.

7.1a is the only TrueCrypt that is unbreakable and untampered though, so don't use any other ones.
