Not sure if dnm related per se, but goes to show that even having someone on the inside doesn't guarantee a smooth operation.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - A U.S postal carrier is one of 25 people indicted in major drug bust. Thursday, fourteen are in custody but eleven are not caught.

Memphis mailman accused of helping gang members transport drugs Memphis police called the six month investigation "Operation: Wait a Minute Mr. Postman." Police ended up collecting guns, drugs and cash.

When Memphis Police Organized Crime Unit put some of the contraband on a table for news photographers to take pictures the amount of drugs, powerful and often deadly narcotics, is staggering.

Especially when you consider the amount of damage it might have done had they not been confiscated.

"We may never know how many individuals in our community died as a result of this poison nor may we ever know how many lives were saved today," said Amy Weirich, Shelby County Attorney General.

Memphis Police and District Attorney General Amy Weirich told FOX13 the investigation took six months and began in August of 2016 and ended in February of this year.

Police said they seized 42 pounds of Marijuana, three kilograms of heroin, one kilogram of Fentanyl, 1, 421.9 grams of cocaine, 7900 Oxycodone pills, and 25 morphine pills.

They also confiscated 13 hand guns, 33 motor vehicles, three motorcycles and about $210,000.

Police called the undercover bust "Operation: Wait a Minute Mr. Postman." Letravius Shaw is the reason why.

According to MPD, he was a mail carrier and while on the job his role was to ensure the package with drugs from California was delivered to the dealer.

The dealer identified as O-B Hildson, a member of the Grape Street Crips gang.

He is one of the 25 people indicted, four of them stole thousands of Oxycodone pills from a pharmacy warehouse beginning in 2013.

Prosecutions now begin for what the district attorney called a takedown of a violent operation.

"All you have to do is look at these guns, look at these bullets, look at these drugs and know the extent of this operation and know the violence and havoc that has been wrecked on our streets," said Prosecutor Weirich.

I think having someone on the inside makes it way hotter . Did you know in every USPS post room there's a 7 foot space that serves as a 2 way window ? Seriously I'm not joking every post office has one and the employees have no idea where it is . But the posts inspector can come in and watch the workers anytime for stuff like this an stealing
