First time buyer - vendor communications

So I've placed my order with a vendor. However, the vendor clearly states that he only accepts FEs.

Is it wrong for me to wait for him to atleast acknowledge my order before I FE? Because so far, he has been online and haven't messaged me back or done anything towards my order, getting close to T+24hours since the order was placed.

How does it work?

hes not going to message you... hes gonna sit there for 2 more days and if u dont FE he'll just cancel ur order and probably add u to a banned list of buyers... if it states u must FE then u must FE.. pretty simple my friend. hope u went with a known trustworthy vendor. also please tell me u used PGP correct?

Are you certain that you want to FE? I am not going to tell you what to do, but most people reserve FE for vendors who they are very familiar with, even if they have good feedback. Is this something that you're unable to find a vendor that you aren't already going to have concerns about?

Usually vendors who insist on FE won't' do anything at all until you've paid for the order. However, a vast majority of people who get ripped off are ripped off because they FE'd.

Since it sounds to me that you're pretty unfamiliar with the whole system, I am a little bit concerned that you're so willing to jump in and use a FE-only vendor. Chances are there is another vendor out there with the same product and similar price that is willing to stay in escrow. If you post who the market/vendor is, and what product you're ordering, someone who has experience with the vendor will be able to let you know if this is a worthwhile risk or else may be able to suggest someone else to order from who will be willing to stay in escrow.

I personally have a huge issue with FE, since the system is set up to use escrow for a reason, and FE is something that vendors need to earn the trust for vendors to offer, not to demand.
