Using the Silk Road brand name is just asking to be punched in the face by LE. They can't not go after someone taunting them like that.

Furthermore, I wouldn't advise anyone open new markets right now, over Tor at least. The way these markets were deanonymized en masse is extremely concerning, and suggests a vulnerability in Tor's design.

Look at the relay attacks on the network earlier this year (https://blog.torproject.org/blog/tor-security-advisory-relay-early-traffic-confirmation-attack) and how they correlate with the timeframes of SR2's servers being located and imaged. Not to mention the mysteriously pulled CERT talk at Blackhat about easily deanonymizing Tor users.

I'm sure new markets will crop up quickly, but the wise will wait for the dust to settle.

Geez! Give it 24 hours. The FBI needs some time to cool down from their latest outing before they sit down to code up a new iteration of SR for everybody to use.

Fuck, no. Silk Road should've died with Ross. Defcon and SR2 was a shitshow from the beginning and it would be stupid of anyone to set up version 3. It would be the equivalent of saying "ha ha ha ha lolz" to the FBI and there is no way they could, or would, let that go.

I don't think it's a coincidence that SR2 has been seized exactly a year to the day it "rose again."

the next idiot to use the SilkRoad moniker deserves to be drawn, quartered & hung
