Why do you fuckers buy counterfeit bills?

Last summer I got these back as change from a small vendor at a music festival. That fucking sucks - I can't use it at all, and that vendor was a cool, small independent vendor making good organic stuff! I'm sure they and the vendors around them took a way bigger loss than me... ya pricks!

Have you ever heard of a throwdown wallet? The concept is to keep a 2nd wallet with a few bucks or prop money & some fake cards (like the ones the credit card companies spam your mailbox with or empty gift cards) so if you get mugged you give up the fake wallet instead of the real one. I kinda like the idea of the dirtbag whole stole my wallet but will never get caught for it getting in bigger trouble for trying to pass fake bills.

I would say the good majority here know not to buy counterfeits for a couple reasons, but the biggest being that they're all noticeably fake if you have ever spent more than a couple minutes dealing with money in your life. Along with that, if you're trying to fuck over your local dealer with some counterfeits you are risking way too much just to save $50.

If I ever catch someone using a counterfeit bill, I swear to god I'll probably accept it and start a cool collection of counterfeit cash and coins.

Do not fuck with the secret service.

That;s actually why the secret service was originally formed to detect and prosecute counterfeit bills.

I worked with a bank for a while and know exactly what to look for. The most common counterfeit bills... the 20. The older 20s specifically. I also have seen counterfeit 100s (the new ones). Here;s a major way to tell, if the ink changes color, it's US printed. Watermarks and pens are outdated. Fool proof is use a UV light. Most of the bills were seen coming from the same stores, within a local area. Bills are inspected 4 times, before making there way to government who decides whether to destroy the bill because of it's condition, and also ensures its authentic. If you suspect a counterfeit bill, follow proper procedures, which include minimizing the amount of your own finger prints on the bill, and running it under a UV lamp. Does anyone remember Disney Cash?

The vendor gave it to you? Are you saying that someone else paid with it and you ended up with it?

I bought some to give as a gift to my econ professor... She collected lots of bills from different years in U.S. history but didn't have any counterfeits

If they're well done you can use it to pay for a dealer you'll see once. But the risk seems very high. I wouldn't order them

because they're cheap

idk at college bars where the people are inexperienced and everyone is in a rush. this is the best time to use fake currency. I could of easily spent 4 years at college breaking fake $20s. I guess they could of caught on if I stayed at the same place but most college bars money is moving so fast that
