Sorry, but this is the only place I really have to vent! So I have a customer that places 2 orders with me at the same time, totaling about 100 bucks. All my items have combined shipping enabled, but I guess the feature isn't working at Blue Sky quite right because apparently the guy had to pay a whole extra 7 dollars shipping. He gets his order today and instead of finalizing, this is what he sends me:
"Hi, just got my order in the mail this afternoon and I'm very satisfied with the product and delivery :) Before I finalize/leave feedback, how do you handle the combined shipping price? Both things I ordered had the +$7 for shipping. I'd love to place another order sometime this week, so I just wanted to know how to handle the shipping price in the future so there's not a delay in finalizing your payment.
Thanks again for being an awesome vendor :)"
I'm so pissed. I'm a legit vendor who has proven myself. He is holding back 100 bucks over 7 dollars shipping? On a 100 dollar order? Meaning, he's holding back my $100+ over his measly $7, while he's prob cooped up in his bedroom somewhere snorting my adderall. The item should've arrived yesterday so I know he's a day late at contacting me on top of that. I'm a small-time shop, can't afford my BTC to hang in the balance while this guy whines over his 7 dollars.
I'm an impatient person. Blue Sky is my first time vending, so far has been so good. 100% success rate and everybody has finalized pretty much day of/day after receiving their orders... This guy has been my first problem. I just feel like if I provide the service of getting quality product to you quickly, you can at least do the decency of finalizing quickly!
EDIT: Issue was resolved :)
Am I over-reacting? Any other vendors out there feel me on this? I know this room is full of buyers so I'll prob get alot of hate, tell me I should just be patient blah blah blah. Sorry for venting, I have nowhere else to vent this shit, and so far it's been a shitty morning as I spent almost 4 hours at doctor's only to come home to this bullshit...
I don't think it's fair for him to hold your money hostage but I do think you are overreacting. If you've had every customer finalize on the first or second day of receiving you are an anomaly. On SR:Original there was a 14 day autofinalize feature for a reason - tons of buyers never came back to bother finalizing. This is part of doing business and you will be okay. If you want to do the best thing for your customer, simply tell him "sorry that you made a mistake when ordering, I understand your frustration. In the future just so you are aware I have a combined shipping option for when you order multiple items. Since you didn't realize this time around, I'd be happy to send you $7 in BTC to an address that you provide me. Please note that this takes up my time and in the future I would appreciate if you pay more attention when ordering."
See, that simple. You keep a customer and make yourself look good at the same time. This post just comes across as you being very impatient (which even you admit to) and slightly unforgiving.
Edit: you should probably never get a job in retail by the way. If you think this is bad you haven't seen anything.
