[GeneralQuestions] Do u think...

This could be a stupid question but i want to know your opinions about the recent LSD busts from NL to US, do u think:

A) That Netherlands post offices singled out vendors and contacted the US and/or any other countries? Could be why so many people are having problems & not just a few? Do u think if NL customs caught drugs before they leave the country they would even notify the US about the address it was going to? Seems like a lot of work for multiple packages each day?

or

B) The busts are from the US catching one pack, then package profiling and obtaining the rest after they are sent out of NL into the states. Then they set up controlled deliveries from there depending on the amount?? But that wouldn't explain any missing packages from other countries no?

As a european can somebody please explain to me why one would make a NL to US order ? In Europe everybody knows that you never order drugs from there, because they only export cheese and drugs, my nations customs double-check mail from there since over 30 years(!) and so do most European countries. NL is the drug store of the world, ordering from there is like ordering Weed from Jamaica, it is soooo obvious.

Is this not known in the US ? Or are prices that high over there ?

Package profiling doesn't exist. in my opinion.

If it did, the fiendish genius vendor would swap to a white rather than a light blue envelope.

Every type of envelope is produced in the tens of millions. Unless the package has wires sticking out, is ticking, and says "c/o Wile E coyote, ACME bomb company" it won't be profiled.

Also, talking about mail is pointless. Its just something that you get whether you're home or out shopping, scared or confident.

B. Sort of. Profiling is the standard way to intercept LSD. I would be surprised if they were being caught in the Netherlands, I think it's more likely that the destination countries have caught on to a pattern. We've seen a few reports lately, but remember that there are a whole shitload of people ordering LSD from the netherlands. Even with this increased surveillance activity I bet there are still plenty of packs making it through. Nobody feels the need to tell everyone when an order goes through successfully, but when something goes wrong they get real vocal. As far as explaining it not reaching other countries, that means either they are all being flagged in the Netherlands or it's just a coincidence that the busts are happening at the same time. Remember this shit has been going on a long time.

To address the other questions... Yes, there is cooperation and information sharing between the Netherlands and other countries. This is not new, though I assume the information they are sharing gets better and more specific as time goes on. If they caught drugs leaving, there is a possibility the destination country would want the package to continue so they could have evidence of a crime. They also might not send it along, opting for a letter instead. No chance they would let it go and not tell the destination company. Yes, this is a lot of work, but there are people who's entire job is to find these types of packages.

What do you mean when you say 'Netherlands post offices singled out vendors' ? That sounds similar to option B, profiling.

I think it's for a mix of reasons. The Netherlands is a 'high risk' country in terms of receiving items from them in the mail anyway. I cant honestly think of a time where I have received mail from the Netherlands that did not contain drugs. Obviously, it's plenty possible to receive legit mail from there but it's usually a red flag for any postal worker. It sucks, I know.

I also think that this has led to catching more packs and has led to vendors being profiled. They markets are getting used more and more (well, until the recent issues) and it's becoming a major problem for LE.

This is the risk you take ordering internationally. It's not even just about stealth any more, sometimes you can only do so much and the rest is up to luck. You just have to try and minimise the amount of luck in the situation.
