Darknet scenario

Let's say a DNM went offline or was seized by the police. Would they be more interested in A) Vendors B) Buyers who buy large quantities C) Buyers who've spent overall a large sum of money

(Like someone who's spent collectively $1500 vs someone who paid that to buy let's say a pound of marijuana)

I've always wondered this so if anyone has any type of input that would be awesome!

Also obviously always use proxies, pgp, and VPNs

They're probably coming for both of these criminal masterminds. Keep the streets clean.

Admins > mods > bulk sellers > bulk buyers (read IRL vendors) > small vendors. IMO it's very unlikely that they'll go after small time or personal use buyers. Just not worth the effort.

They'd be interested in vendors. But fortunately we don't give anybody our name or address.

Fortunately, DNMs are hardly ever busted. The exceptions are the disastrous Silk Road franchise. Marketplace owners should all be aiming for a successful, ordered retirement.

Most either exit scam, or carry on until they get busted. Most marketplaces actually delete your details as soon as possible, which is why we don't really know the answer to this question.

Id imagine hat they will sweep the market and try to snag any low hanging fruit. Unless they are a giant king pin moving massive weight, I'm sure they will focus their efforts on the arrests that will be easiest to make.

Well since they cant take the site down more then likey the vendors have most risk rn..

[1 Points] Devoid_:

I think it depends on the Tha nature of the compromise. If they somehow gained control of a market and de-annonymized users through an unknown exploit then I'd say it's safe to assume they'd snag all the vendors they could and maybe the large bulk buyers. But if your not a huge buyer and aren't receiving packs with a pound of meth in it a week then you'll probably be good. Most likely they'd go after a few bulk vendors, shut down the site, make some headlines and go home

They will never be able to find the vendors. All they can hope for is buyer's addresses and being able to view the address in plain text.

Remember this is their JOB they get paid to do this shit and they want to impress their boss. They are going to look at the data they have from many angles hoping for a big break. To switch from most purchases to most money spent is a click of 1 button in excel. LOL

I don't keep my buyer accounts long. I don't like the accumulating data. Some markets even show you the $$ amount you have spent.. That's depressing..

You need to keep your opsec on a level where none of this matters.

If you are buying a few Gs to your house for you and your friends all of this is a lot easier.
