[CommunityDiscussion] I think it is time that all darknet market communities discuss using other shipping companies.

Usps is no longer effecient or safer than the other two shipping companies in my opinion. I am going to sacrifice a little bit of my own personal security to provide people with what I think is true. I work for UPS and have for quite a long time. And from the experiences I have had with usps and the stories I have heard UPS is now a better and safer option in my opinion. The fact that usps needs a warranty to open a package I believe does not make a difference anymore. Recently people are claiming that their packages have holes poked in them or tears exist (usps employees trying to see if contents are drug related most likely) and let me say in UPS you wouldn't have the time in any sorting, loading, or unloading position to do this with even some of the packages. Today I even tried to see if I could check out packages while still being able to keep up with my work and it was impossible. The only thing I have ever seen employees steal were packs of cigarettes. We go through a guard shack when we enter and exit and they are quite thourough when checking us. I have NEVER seen dogs, drug busts, investigations, or any behavior related to searching for drug packages. And I do not see employees poking holes into packages to test whether or not they smell drugs inside. Not to mention most places where packages are handled are under constent survuillance and most of these places you are not alone. And usps sucks now, I can't remember the last time I received a priority package on time. It has been almost 6 months since a package came without any delays. THEY SUCK AT WHAT THEY DO AND THEY ARE FUCKING THIEVES WHO DON"T GIVE A SHIT ABOUT OBTAINING A WARRANT TO OPEN YOUR PACKAGE. Don't kid yourself. So considering usps employees are wising up and they can't successfully do their job why are the other shipping companies not being considered here? As a UPS employee I would be perfectly ok if a vendor shipped via UPS.

It makes all the difference in the world.

Okay, I'm going to chime in on this one, as I've had close relatives who have over the years worked for UPS, FedEx, and DHL in delivery and management positions.

OP, you're working at the sorting facility, correct? Most likely sorting packages to go into cans for air/ground shipment or sorting packs to coming out of cans from planes and then loading them onto trucks for local delivery.

Where do you think those planes that they load the cans on to take off from and land at? If you said major hub airports, you would be correct. In the U.S. (and most other places in the world) major airports are crawling with LEOs and their contraband sniffing dogs. You had better believe that those guys and their pups aren't just running around in the baggage areas for passenger flights, they can, and do check cargo flights as well.

When that puppy goes apeshit because someone didn't seal up their package well enough, the manager in charge of the load in/out will be more than happy to cooperate with the guy from the alphabet soup agency in tracking down exactly which package and opening it up for him. And once that's happened, I can guaran-goddamn-tee that someone else's ass will be in handcuffs and taking a ride down to central booking before my relative comes by my shop in the afternoon, to have a beer, while I close up and tell me about the excitement he had at work that morning.

USPS is notoriously underfunded and understaffed. Your average usps employee is complacent, overworked, and underpaid. When mail drugs we are counting on the usps to be apathetic and bureaucratic, they could be more zealous about pursuing drugs but they don't because they don't have the funds, the manpower, or the time. All the pros you mention exist in usps as well, and all of the cons exist in private couriers too. Your local UPS delivery guy has access to your packages when he/she is alone in the truck just like a usps mailman.

I can see good points in this, like the fact UPS deals pretty much only in packages and have way more packages flying through their facilities. If you watch any video of USPS sorting facilities its about 90% letters with a few boxes going around. Also for the most part the back rooms at USPS give Mos Eisley a run for its money. UPS would only ever open a package if it smelled rank, and USPS would just hold a package for 2 days until they got a warrant to open it.

Edit: Fed ex delivered 90 goddamn pounds of weed and the only way it got outed was because of an address mistake. I think its time vendors at least give us the option to pick the shipping. http://philadelphia.cbslocal.com/2014/11/19/police-90-pounds-of-marijuana-delivered-to-delaware-county-business/

USPS cannot open packages, other couriers can

What if you shipped it through UPS but inside the UPS box/envelope it was in a USPS box/envelope all stamped and shit, they open the first package then boom need a warrant for the USPS mail parcel.

What can brown do for you

literally half the time I order something that comes UPS shit is always opened or tore the fuck up and re-taped to shit and back. There is a reason why people have always used usps for mailing drugs

I think it's worth mentioning that the USPS is doing away with the priority mail stamps and is moving to the prepaid priority mail labels/packaging that they print for you. The shipping address comes blank for you to fill out later, but they are required to print the return address for you. Maybe I'm missing something, but it seem that it could make anonymity that much more complicated for vendors when using USPS.

I HAVE TO AGREE WITH OP. I GOT A FRIEND THAT WORKS FOR UPS. AND HE TELLS ME THAT, THE ONLY TIME THAT THEY WILL REALLY OPEN A PACKAGE. OR MESS WITH ONE IS IF SOMETHING IS NOT PACKAGED UP TIGHT. AND ITS CONTENTS IS LEAKING OUT OR IF A PACKAGE HAS BEEN LEAKED ON BY ANOTHER PACKAGE. AND EVEN THEN IF IT IS PACKAGED RIGHT. AND SEALED UP TIGHT IN LIKE A MMB. THAN THEY JUST REPACKAGE IT AND SEND IT ON ITS WAY. AND HE HAS WORKED FOR THEM FOR GOING ON 20 OR 25 YEARS AND IS A SUPERVISOR OF SOME SORT. HE SAYS HE IS LIKE THE PERSON THAT THEY GO TO IN JUST THAT SITUATION OF A PACKAGE LEAKING OR BEING LEAKED ON. AND I WOULD THINK THAT JUST THE FACT OF NOT USING A UNITED STATES FEDERAL AGENCY OF A SORT WOULD BE A GOOD THING. BUT THAT IS JUST MY OPINION.
