Trying to restore some order in the madness of the last couple of weeks, I've been searching for new vendors to do business with.
Doing the usual stuff, looking at reviews, and then sending a message to what looks like prospective vendors has been rather interesting.
I don't know if it's just me, but SOME of these guys lack the most basic curtesy and it really pisses me off.
How are you going to try and pass yourself off as a reputable vendor if before I've even made a purchase, you're already palming me off with one word answers and pure rudeness. IMO It's an instant switch off, and completely stumps any prospect of doing business together.
So I ask. Is there a place for customer service in the markets? Do you care? I'm I being too senstive?!?!
It's huge for me. Whenever I sold, I took pride in both my product and my service... well, I do that for whatever business I'm engaged in. It goes a long way. But I don't really expect it from vendors, they're just the guy selling out of an online crackhouse. When do get good service, I'm far more likely to go back or stick with them.
