Would making like a shit ton of mirrors do the trick? Like 20? 50? 100?
Would making a capcha that barely works do anything?
Just curious, I don't know shit about hacking and fighting DDOS attacks.
Is there any super crazy unethical ways to fight a DDOS?

Redirect the pages getting ddos'd to one of your competitors.
iframe their page onto every page of your site thats getting ddos'd

A shit ton of mirrors
A CDN?
A captcha
Like what Incapsula uses?
Neither of these is unethical.

When Sourcery got attacked, we did a few "fun" things to toy with the attacker. There are definitely things you can do to a DDOS'er to screw with them. You can also pick up patterns on the attack if they happen over a long enough period of time. They seem to have certain methods and ways they attack that are unique to them. I believe when we were getting hit, there were 3 different people doing it.
One guy would attack us, almost without fail, within 30 minutes of anytime I made a post on Reddit. I'm fairly certain I know who that was. One guy I knew was babysitting his DDOS and was monitoring it. The other one I could tell he had it on autopilot and would check it every couple of hours.

Nice try TradeRoute. Just pay the fuckin' hackers, that's like 50 cents to a grand like you.
