Another P.O. Box Question

Though mine may be a little different. About a year and half ago, my wife and I found ourselves living ( the kids are grown and are moving on) in a big 3- bedroom overpriced apartment in a community that used to be really nice but has gone down hill in recent years. So we started looking for a smaller apartment when we cam across a nice little home with a big yard, fairly secluded at a great price. We were shocked when we found out our mortgage was approved the only problem was that it was going to take 4-6 months before we could actually take possession.

We decided that until then we would just rent monthly from 2 different places and even lived with friends for about 5 weeks. I got a P.O. Box because I did not want the hassle of having my mail redirected to a different address every month or so. My wife had hers transferred to a relative until our move in date. Well here it is after almost 2 years I still have my P.O. Box. It is not an inconvenience because I pass by it on my way to work and back.

I have never ordered from any DNM before but I have had 100's pieces of mail and dozens legit packaged already sent to my P.O. box. Due to local market conditions I might have to avail myself to one though. I would like to hear some opinions on my thoughts on this. Anything would be helpful if at the the very least it might ease my mind.

Advantages to having items sent to my P.O. Box. 1) If things went badly and I sensed something was not right I could walk away and they do not have a clue where I live at now. 2) If I went to pick up package it would keep my wife completely out of it. By the way she knows and thats not a problem.

Disadvantages of using P.O. boxes: 1) I just feel that I ...give up some control by using one. Lets say they intercepted my package and they are there waiting for me to pick it up. I walk in there, open it up. pull out my mail, and then I am pretty well fucked.

Advantages of having items sent to my home: 1) Our house is fairly secluded and if a CD was about to go down I think I would be able to tell something was up and then I would not accept delivery or put one little finger on it.

Disadvantages would be I would have to put my wife through the entire ordeal of a CD.

I dont know I just have a lot of thoughts swimming in my head right now.

I would much rather use a well seasoned PO Box than give out my home address...

Yeah, honestly this situation sounds kind of ideal to me, but I'm not an expert or anyone you should probably listen to. Only thing that jumps out is that some vendors won't send to PO boxes.

Where is the box? If it's in a 24 hour place where you can come and go without dealing with people then it seems like just the ticket. Unless you're ordering serious weight they're not just going to assign a team to sit at the Mailboxes etc for days on end in hopes that you'll stop by to pick up a package.

Use the box. Its far better to use a seasoned and aged Box, even of its under your own name. Ideally, you'd have one that has no affiliation( opened with fake info) but in your case I think as long as your not trying to buy thirty lbs of bud you'll be fine. Always use good opsec when ordering, PGP and such.

You tell me.

At least if you get CD at a PO box they are not going to stormtrooper your house if its not connected to your real address.

I think I knew the answer before I posted here. Just needed to clear my head a bit on this and see what others would have to say. This is a subject I just cant bring up among my friends and co-workers. They are not even aware that this exists. I know of only two other people that have ever heard of the deep web and I just acted like I was stupid and never heard of it before. It was at work and the last thing I need is to be overheard in a conversation about how you can order drugs and shit online. I just played along in utter amazement that such a thing even exists. I wonder how many other people do the same thing? Makes me wonder sometimes. I appreciate all your responses.
