Alphabay Vendor, "Vossa" - Deal with caution, scam warning/report - Loss of $1,300 USD

Please be careful whilst dealing this user, he has plenty of prior scam reports. I wish I would've been more careful before proceeding with my order. I placed the order, and everything was good until he apparently could not decrypt the key. I didn't think anything of it at the time, so I tried once more, yet to no avail. He asked me to use privnote, then suddenly the SAME PGP key seemed to work, which I thought was odd. However he claimed it was going to be shipped soon (on the 3rd of March) However it does not make ANY sense in retrospect that he couldn't decrypt it on AB, but could on privnote. He had definitely received the order properly the first time(Plenty of PGP experience), but gave me the run-around.

Today is the 8th, five days later, and no package. I decided to look around and do some research on this user and found quite a few interesting things. Apparently this user LOVES to exit scam, and scam US clientele.

Links to others experiences below,

I would also gladly screenshot/quote the private messages, but I'm unsure as to if there's any rules, or if it's discouraged.

This is EXTREMELY disheartening, and I hope the dispute goes well in my favor, especially since I paid the extra $50 for escrow. I've never been in this situation, so any advice or tips would also be much appreciated.

Thank you for reading.

NEVER use privnote or similar services that claim to offer self-destructing messages.

Absolutely nothing prevents such services from storing your message even after it was 'officially' destroyed. On top of that they also require Javascript, which is a huge no-go.

Just encrypt your messages with PGP like every other market user and send them using the internal market messaging system. Also avoid vendors that use privnote or similar services.

If it is escrow, wait until the day before it expires. On that day, file a dispute and invite mods to that conversation. 5 days is still a bt too early to dispute.

I think private message screenshots are fine as long as there is not personal or opsec detail left in.

I called him out on the AB forum and he deleted his post
