LibertyX might be the most unprofessional bitcoin vendor out there. Final update.

Well it looks like for many of us, they are not the great savior for DNM bitcoin buyers. Promising simple, cheap, and if done right, anonymous way to buy bitcoin. Seemed so promising.

If anyone read it, I posted about the issues many people have been having with LibertyX. They added 100s of new locations to their website, however, none of them work.

Many people, as well as myself have been sending lot of emails to their support about these issues. However, no one I know has gotten a single response. I should mention that I have gotten several friendly and helpful emails from them when I had an issue with sign up, they fixed the problem for me and told me what I needed to do. But now they are blatantly ignoring all emails asking about this issue.

So before driving all over the place to find a vendor they list on their website (usually in a shady rundown looking place in the hood), before going through the trouble to buy a burner phone to set up an anonymous registration, make sure to call all the locations listed on their website to verify that they use LibertyX.

Edit: So support finally got back to me after days of emailing and calls. They apologized and offered to pay me $5 for every location I visited in person, after they verified that all 6 of those locations (that they just added to their website in the last month as fresh vendors) did not use their service. However, they told me in order to get the $5 for my time and trouble, I have to for some reason register a fresh account, which does not make much sense to me as I have a fully verified account with them already. Soooooo.....that makes zero sense.

When I asked them why, the more than 1 dozen stores I called, that they just listed on their website as valid vendors, did in fact not use Qpay, they told me that the vendor at one point used Qpay and that's why they were added. I asked why they did not first verify them as active vendors, and they responded, "we apologize for any inconvenience, we are looking into it." hahahahahaha That's all I can do.

I'm not saying that LibertyXust w does not function correctly when you find a "working" location, but based on what they just pulled with their website, and a large majority of experiences. Dude....WTF! I think my thread title is pretty appropriate.

DEFINITELY FINAL EDIT: Just was forwarded a disturbing email a friend got from their support. In summary, it was very negative if you hope to use their site anonymously. They are invasive, and freely disperse their clients info. The end. Take it or leave it. I'm done.

LBC, oh how I hate your fees, but I am back.

They said the Ace Cash Express places weren't cooperating with customers because they didn't know or care about LibertyX. The Ace Cash Express people weren't getting any fees for having the service. So some places' managers told employees not to accept money for the LibertyX service anymore. I asked the chat on the website, they stated that they are looking for a better chain of stores to work with them in selling BTC.

Has anyone put together an FAQ or howto on obtaining bitcoins with LibertyX? I just took a look at the /r/DarkNetMarketsNoobs guide to buying bitcoins and LibertyX isn't even mentioned. I'd be willing to update the doc if you can point me to the relevant threads.

Personally haven't tried LibertyX, but that sub was a great help when I was learning DNM stuff so I'd like to give back.

Edit: To clarify, when I said "howto on obtaining coins with LibertyX" I meant, a howto for using the service anonymously and securely aka, how to specifically use it for shady darknet stuff. Obviously anyone who can read their web site knows how to use the service in general.

You had a bad experience. I walk across the street to boost Mobile and pay the happy little Asian lady $5 and she lets me pay by debit or cash. I love libertyx!

Same issue. I explained to the vendor they probably just did not know they had it, showed them the website, but it turned out they actually did not have the service at all.

I was all pumped up because I had heard how good their service was, so I was really pissed about this. They listed like 10 locations within a half hour of my house and it turns out not one of them actually uses Qpay, although a couple of them said they did at one point.

LibertyX paid me $25 for my trouble which was cool, but they still listed tons of locations they do not use their service at all so people are going to run into a lot of trouble trying to figure this out. And I don't know why, but it seems as though every location I looked up was in one of the worst neighborhoods in my area, which was strange.

Maybe they are trying to make us tough in case we get busted for copping drugs. Like get hardened by spending time in da hood.

I had to call libertyx themselves to get support.

[1 Points] dabdude13:

some clerks dont know how to sell them go there get customer service on the phone they will walk them through it here if you call they all say we dont sell them or know what they are after it showing on there site somone has bought them there i have to drive 1.5hrs sux

[1 Points] BassNet:

Yeah I had the same issue, it seems like less than 10% of the places listed actually sell Qpay/Libertyx. I had to call every location till I found a working one.

I've had nothing but a great experience with libertyx. it says right on the website to call ahead and double check someone there knows how to sell you the pins before you go. and thats what ive done every time. the last time i went to one it was a trailblaizer so i called ahead to make sure they knew about it. but when i got there the guy wanted to charge me $3. i called libertyx and someone picked up right away. the shop owner called them too. i didnt get charged and i got double the promotion for using a trailblazer.

Poor white kid, afraid of the hood.

[1 Points] rappercake:

I went to a locationt o buy a pin, the only one for like am hour, and the cashier said that qpay had removed the processor months ago. I tried calling them but just got a voicemail.

[1 Points] None:

I don't get it why are they unprofessional? You expect all these people to know what bitcoin is? Are you kidding? It even says on libertyX, "be a trail blazer and be the first one to buy btc in a store, and get a $15 credit" or something along those lines. Pretty much warning you that most store owners don't even know they sell it. Have you ever bought btc before? If you have, then you know LibertyX is a god send. No hoops, no bull shit, just find a store, pay, and get btc.

[1 Points] Accountfortheshredde:

I just got about as close to a blackmail message from their support as you could get.

Like you could take it as a doxxing threat almost, I do not know what to make of it. I am going to post it all over this thread. Not to be a prick, but people need to know this shit, its fucking shady.
