Just get on the ride line at Howard heading south. Drop the acid somewhere between there and Wrigleyville depending on how busy it is. You want the acid to kick in as soon you leave chinatown. Don't bother with Chinatown stay on the train to at least the Garfield station. Ideally you want to get off before 95th/dan ryan, as there will probably be security at the end of the line who will try to save your life bust you for tripping acid. The deep south side is one of Chicago's hidden gems. Don't be afraid if it looks like Iraq a working class neighborhood. Its one of the safest areas in the city. All the money is on the north side so that's the area all the criminals go to commit crime. The south side is where everyone goes to chill and relax and do hippy nonviolent shit. Definitely where you want be. Far West side before forest park is also a good chill spot. I mean you don't want to be around all the tourists and bros while you're tripping right? Well all the tourists and bros are in the loop and northside, being there would really harsh the vibes duuuuude.

The West Englewood area is really nice and the people there are super friendly. Definitely a great place to take a couple doses and enjoy the cool street art and unique culture. You can talk to people if you want, or you can just walk around and keep to yourself, nobody will bother you. Not too many of those annoying hustlers and bums which are common in large cities.
If you decide against West Englewood, you have to at least check out Riverdale. It's one of the more upscale areas, but the people there are still humble and don't flaunt their wealth. Lots of really down to earth people :)
If you want to trip in a park and get in touch with nature, then the Fuller Park community is the place to be. Highly recommend.
Enjoy chicago it's a beautiful city if you know where to go.

Navy Pier dude and the fucking beach especially, walking around the city with your head phones in listening to Tame Impala is another dope one. La Grange is a cool suburb outside of Chicago that's pretty dank with tripping and vibing out. Jerking off in public is another cool Chicago thing to do.

The Naperville area is really nice if you can make it out that way. There's an awesome riverfront park right near downtown and plenty of walking area to spend the day with lots of shops and tons of stuff to look at.

My favorite spot is the Lincoln park zoo. Free to walk in to. Just outside the entrance they have a greenhouse with a bunch of plants and flowers. Sat on a bench in there with some shades on and tripped out to to plants and fake bird noises in there. It was beautiful.
I also like that spot because from there you can walk to the lake and chill. No beach there, but there is a huge stretch of a concrete path that runs along the lake. Path has different steps of evaluation, so it's not too bad to sit and chill there. Less traffic there than the beaches.
Buddies and I found a chill spot on the path by a ladder that led into the lake - needless to say we all ended up jumping in even though we were ill prepared for a swim. Tripped out there for a while staring off into the water, and swimming in the lake was orgasmic since it was hot as fuck outside. We smoked a blunt there (even though a few people jogged by it was no biggie) and had some tunes playing.
Have tripped at the planetarium as well. That was amazing and yet terrifying - found myself in a lot of areas just crammed with people. But goddamn, those 3D shoe are mind blowing; got to travel through the goddamn universe! Nice paths along there and it's right on the lake. If you're okay with a lot of people around then I'd check it out.
Since you don't know the city well, I'd choose a spot that you could walk around and explore in, while also being close to a spot outside by the lake where you can chill. No fun getting lost in a big city while tripping.
Places I think would also be cool, where I haven't tripped, would be Millennium park. I'd mainly wanna go there just to see the bean (big mirror bean shaped sculpture) while tripping. From there you could walk to grant park and see buckingham fountain and some more cool sculptures. The paths there are nice, plenty of green (shrubbery and tree wise), along with some cool art. Also very close to the lake. Usually very busy around there during the summer, so no smoking there unless you got a pen with you.
Tl;dr: I took too much adderall. Lincoln park zoo. Millennium park to grant park. Planetarium. All close to the lake where you can maybe find some more secluded places to chill along one of the paths.
Side note: You can also airbnb boats - though there would be a captain on board ar.

Grant Park and northerly Island area could work for this.

Lakefront between Belmont and Foster. Lots of chill trees and hidden spots to chill and views of the city. When the sun starts to go down, enjoy that view.

The 606 is an elevated walking and bike path that is really fun to walk on while you're tripping

Walk the whole beach downtown, if the sun is shining the city will look absolutely beautiful.
