The vendor in question had been dealing outside of the markets as well. It is assumed that this vendor was targeted because of offering fentanyl and claiming to have access to carfentanyl.
The police have access to this vendor's alphabay-profile, as can be seen by looking at his profile information and listings.
It is unknown which 'tools and possibilities' they are referring to.
If they have access to his profile, and he used 2FA, don't that mean they can decrypt anything that was sent to him using that same public key?
