What are the actual benefits of PO box vs. home delivery?

I'm just a little lost. Everyone swears by the PO box. Why? Besides preventing people from being to steal your mail, I don't see how the PO box protects you.

I just don't like vendors having my home address. Who knows if they actually store them or something. At least if something happens I can just go close the PO box.

LE wants to have as much control over the situation as they can when conducting a CD. This becomes easy for houses when you can watch it and know when someone is coming in and out. For PO boxes, you'd have to literally station LE there to wait for someone to pick up the box. 24/7. I can get my pack the day it's delivered .. or maybe Ill wait a day or .... a week and go at night If im not a chucklefuck receiving pounds of drugs.

home delivery is quicker sometimes but runs the risk of roomates/friends knowing, Although you can use other names than your own. There is a connection to your place of residence

The PO box should be used with a real ID so it runs a different risk of an actual ID not just the location you dwell in the shadows.

If you get a PO box at a 24hr lobby you can go pickup the mail in the middle of the night when no ones there, or any suitable hours that you're comfortable at. Also makes it harder for them to CD a box when the owner always shows up at different times. They'll end up just leaving a note saying to come to the counter during business hours. Which if you have a big PO box will be a huge red flag. Where as when its coming to your home/drop they could just drop the package off at the house and swat you immediately after.

That's my opinion on the subject.

This is why I'd use a PO Box over home delivery any day.

It is all risk mitigation. A PO box provides yet another layer of security. I liken it to TOR on the internet. Sure people (LE, USPS employees) can see your information it just takes more work to make it into a case against you.
