You're still evading tax. Sometimes that's worse than being caught buying drugs.

i buy porn exclusively, and pay ransoms on my hard drive like every 12 days,
my life is hell cause i like midgets half naked beating up donkeys that drink romanian apple wine.
Nobody can say for sure. There's a scent likelihood that technically you're contributing to the advancement of an illegal enterprise.
This isn't the same as getting your car washed at A1 car wash, not realizing its a money laundering front. The bar is pretty high that you'd need to prove you didn't realize you were contributing.
The other person mentioned tax and got downvoted but I don't know why. Now that many states require sales tax paid on online purchases based on the location of buyer - theoretically it could be included.
Since this is new territory there is little precedent so prosecutors find and relevant case law in order to decide charges, suffers decide if they apply, and juries decide if they stick.
There just hasn't been enough happen yet to know. It's also going to be very inconsistent and depend on a lot of factors.
Since possession is so easy to prove - you have it and it doesn't matter if you bought it or it fell from the sky or someone else confesses to it being theirs. If you're with or near them; you're in possession. Most people are just charged with possession and/or intent in dnm busts as it's still so difficult to prove how the purchase was made, even if it was intercepted in the mail.
I tried last year keep on freak of buyer busts but so far know few outcomes and those I do were all plead into diversion programs except one - the guy who got 4lb from PFM. He came out criminally clear but very sadly took a toll on her personal and professional lives.
But especially if you live in a country (like usa) that is working toward diversion and rehab and not jail as drug offenses sentences, most personal use buyers will likely not get extra stuff tagged on like federal offense for mail, but as they fight against dnms I believe larger buyers who resell and vendors will get the book hurled at them as dissuasion is actually an effective law enforcement strategy.
