Package Seized - I didn't buy anything

EDIT 2: IMPORTANT https://www.reddit.com/r/DarkNetMarkets/comments/3tycyq/package_seized_i_didnt_buy_anything/cxahl3v

My title is now wrong as I believe someone has helped me find out the cause of this letter. I have ordered from Gene001 in the past BUT MY PRODUCT ARRIVED EVENTUALLY. Although, unless someone can give me really good proof, I still do not want to believe that this letter was fake. If you have ordered from Gene001 and have received a letter in the mail, and you are comfortable sharing more information with me, PLEASE PM me here as I would greatly appreciate it and I think we would both like more information on this unfortunate situation

EDIT: Thank you to everyone for your responses. This has really made me feel better. I truly appreciate the help and support. I also see now that it is common for them to send these letters late, which makes sense. As far as I can recall, I never had a package not show up when ordering- but it is not out of the question, my memory is very poor.

I used to be a fairly regular buyer from different markets. Most of the ones I used are now gone or down. Due to that, I had not ordered anything in awhile.

Anyways, one day, I came home to a letter from the Postal Inspector. I knew I had not ordered anything but as soon as I saw it, my heart sank- I was very confused but still scared. It told me a package was seized. I ignored the letter, and will continue to deny any interest in that package. I have since been waiting, hoping that nothing happens.

I am wondering if anyone else had this happen to them and what came of it? If anyone is comfortable sharing anything.

The worst part is that I was actually not expecting anything (obviously have no reason to lie here). Which would be a good thing as far as defense, since proving expectation of illegal packages is hard to do. Except I have ordered in the past which complicates it. It is also scary because I have literally no clue what was in it.

Did you order from gene001 ever / recently? His customers have been getting domestic LL's and there is speculation they are fake (sent by him to scam). If you haven't gotten anything seized and got one after ordering from him it would be a good indication they are fake.

Have you ever had a lost pack or one that requires a reship? Otherwise sounds like a vendor fuck up and sent you something on accident perhaps? Some people do get live letter a while after the order.

I heard some vendors use old customer addresses as return addresses. That helps protect their anonymity.

[2 Points] honestlyimeanreally:

Domestic or INTL?

What did you usually order?

Do you remember the last vendors you used?

That sucks OP.

[2 Points] deguppyusel:

This is an interesting question I have came up with: Say the package was seized in the US and contained a LEGAL research chemical. Would they sometimes go an order a GC/MS test in this situation? AND, if it were confirmed to be legal, would they not send a love letter? Or would they just send one out because they found unknown drugs in the envelope? Please answer both of these questions. Thank you.

Have you ever ripped a vendor off and said your shit didn't arrive? If so, rethink that strategy. Could be vendor retaliation. If not, then... not, obviously.

[1 Points] coffeencreme:

Love letters don't always go out straight away, so you need to think back to when you did use the DNMs....any weirdness? Any package not arrive that you thought was lost?

I had a vendor send me research chemicals(thankfully that's it) for months. It was very frustrating and I could never find which vendor I had bought from before that had them listed.

My best guess was that my he was continuously using my address by mistake, which was pretty irritating.

[1 Points] octomarvel:

I feel sorry for you op, sincerely.

This is like the opposite of a minor lotto win. This is like getting pulled up on a bench warrant n pulling extra charges once they process your fingerprints coz something you did in the past.

I hope life gives you compensation somehow. My condolences.

never say this on this board, but this would be an excellent post to make NOT from TOR

[1 Points] throwawayhopefakelet:

In case op doesn't come back I messaged him and he said he recently ordered from GENE001. IMO this is more evidence the letters are fake. (I'll delete this at ops request if he feels it hurts his opsec)

I can't imagine anything more terrifying you sure you haven't made a enemy that knows you use the dnm.could be a vendor you ripped off or a best bud who you shagged there girl.

[1 Points] None:

could you maybe take a picture of the letter and post it? (edit out any personal info first obviously)
