Fuck bitcoin volatility

Seriously?! I purchased coins this morning at like $675 and within 1.5 hours it dropped down to $625. I even bought an extra $100 worth of coins just in case of this situation and I am STILL fucking short to make my order. By the end of this I am going to end up paying like $1,700 for a half lb of bud. This exact thing happened to me last week when I was restocking.. I had to go through the entire LBC cash deposit process again to get another $40 worth of coins.

Is it just less stable in the morning compared to the afternoon? Also the damn markets need to get fucking synchronized. DHL showing $644, AB showing $625, Dream showing $640, all the major exchanges showing $639.. like wtf

My plan is to survive the next 100 years on a steady diet of oatmeal and meth until drugs get legalized so I can pay with a stable, state backed currency and get safe, regulated drugs like grandpa used to.

[21 Points] hulkedbenzoboss-dnm:

How do you think vendors feel? You buy something at $600 in the morning then by the evening time it drops to $500, the vendors just lost $100 in a matter hours.

[9 Points] DrReeferDNM:

I'm just watching my escrow balance drop hour by hour, wishing a few of these guys would have finalized days ago as the pack has already landed. If it drops any further, 5 guys are getting blacklisted for being fuckboys and not logging back in.

[4 Points] Mithriark:

Better than buying it at almost 800 almost a week ago. It's going to go back up. If you look at weekly charts it had been skyrocketing in the green for more than a month. It was due to reconsolidate at some point. That said, it was shitty timing for a DNM purchase. I feel you there.

[7 Points] justaniceyoungman:

Morning or afternoon doesn't matter with BTC. I'm personally waiting for the halving next month to see what happens before I make any decisions. If it blasts off then I'll sell. If it drops to 150-300 then I'll be buying a lot.

[6 Points] GrandWizardsLair:

Bitcoin volatility is the kiss of death for the Grand Wizard's business. We're doing a tiny fraction of our usual volume right now -- and we find this also happens when we are in the midst of a bitcoin bubble. Basically nobody wants to buy with $100 worth of bitcoin knowing it might be worth $125 in a few minutes -- and nobody wants to by $100 worth of bitcoin knowing it might be worth $75 in a few minutes.

[2 Points] tpsmc:

If you bought high and price drops, just go sell them on localbitcoins.com, the price per coin is always 10-20% more than current market value. There is always some business desperate to pay some cryptolocker ransom that needs coins and doesn't have time to wait for their bank account verification on an exchange.

[3 Points] SSS-_-question:

I bought a Quap at the top. Still need to rebuy that btc back so it's going to save me about $175.

BTC volatility goes both ways brother.

[2 Points] None:

Shit almost happened to me on Monday. I fucking hate btc dude I literally lost $1200 like last January or February when it dropped over $100 in one day

[1 Points] jkutd534534:

Look at the charts, whenver the price starts to climb its either chinese exchange price fixing or whale pump and dumps. This is what you get when you have an unregulated market.

[2 Points] CocaineIsPrettyCool:

More like fuck bitfinex

[2 Points] karachay:

i always watch the price fluctuations for a few hours before buying and purchase quickly after obtaining to minimize any potential loses.

Setup an OKCoin account, send the btc there anytime you're holding it for a long amount of time. Learn how futures work....leverage the amount of BTC you hold w/ the adequate amount of futures to hedge your risk (meaning you can hold BTC at a stable USD conversion). i.e you sluff off your risk of losing USD value, if the BTC price shoots up you have slightly less BTC worth the same amt of USD. If BTC price shit-tanks, you have more BTC than before, but still worth the same USD.

[1 Points] Mr_Mol:

Made my DMT order about 2 hours ago and its dropped about $30 since then, thats some great timing!

There's a lot of activity around lunch time. And 5 PM. And the 1st and 15th of the month

[1 Points] IAIVIDAKILLA:

I highly recommend using circle pay to directly convert usd to btc! It takes few days to get it set up but its incredibly fast and efficient!

[1 Points] rooster79:

bit coin be crazy! i use coinbase, circle and bitquick.co to spread the love around

Works both ways though, sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you don't.

[1 Points] SmokenPotent:

This happened to me too. Ended buying 200$ on coin for 150$ order. Why... Lol

[1 Points] DeliChopz:

I feel your pain brother. Thought I'd buy some coin a few days ago when the price dropped a bit, didn't think it was possible to fall below $675 so fast. I mean I knew from watching that it would happen, but not as fast as it did and not before I got a chance to use it but oh well.

[1 Points] IAIVIDAKILLA:

Helix, my friend!

[1 Points] Ironchar:

can't vendors and websites start using other crypto currencies?

litecoin DARKcoin?

[1 Points] 180K:

Well, I bought in the mid 400s before the hoohaa

[1 Points] FAmos:

it's inconvenient when you lose money, but if you invest when it's low, say like a few months ago, and sold when it was just $700+, then you'd be making a post saying how great it is ;)

but sorry for your inconvenience.

[1 Points] noonehear:

If you are constantly cashing out everything should equal out... where the profits make up for the loses with bitcoin fluctuation.

Plz cry river cuz inflation exists in USD also

Everyone's got a complaint whether it's climbing or dropping.

[1 Points] overlord710:

That's the way it works

Just ride it out

[1 Points] HappyBuzz:

I feel your pain.. I bought $1k on coinbase through my bank account and instead of sending it to my USD wallet like I usually do, I sent it to my regular wallet because I thought BTC was gonna keep going up up up.. so my 1k was released today at it's worth like $770 or something. Ouch!

[1 Points] sophieleet:

lost 120$ :(

check valhalla rate... it's pure stealing from customer

[1 Points] kwembemutongo:

Exact same happened to me but I ended up losing loads of coins because THREE separate vendors couldn't get their shit together and fulfill my orders so they were all auto cancelled after several days and the BTC value dropping.

Pissed off is an understatement.

[1 Points] GNAR-TheBarGoblin:

This belongs in /r/fuckboytempertantrums

[1 Points] Parchmentmarkets:

Volatility + markets sometimes only updating BTC price 1-2 times a day + vendor taking more than 24h to ship your shit = probably a bad deal.

Then again, I bought coins for $400 and 'sold' them for drugs at $750 just a week ago...

[1 Points] Klausar:

Fuck this shit. I bought bitcoins at 625€. I see them dropping like shit, I panic and buy when they are at 525€. Today I log in to see them back up at 626€.

Fuck my life.
