Been on here a while on and off - not many posts - not always the same account - obviously there's a range of experience here and information is generally speculative and pretty much always unverifiable ... nevertheless ... when you are on the waiting end of a pack that's way overdue it's a good place to find comfort.
But I am hoping some will comment anew on this topic and my take on it.
My first point is that stealth is probably 95% of the buyers security concerns - maybe it's higher. If the pack is delivered the buyer is almost certainly in the clear. Maybe le is letting that oz go through to build a big case in the future but I doubt it. So I think it is pretty critical that the stealth be great. However, great stealth is not really the reason why shipping is so reliable. The reason is numbers - nearly all the packs would make without any stealth at all. Ironically, this creates some risk disparity between buyer and seller because detection is so much worse for the buyer. BS numbers for illustration - if shitty stealth has a 99% success rate and great stealth has a 99.9% success rate would the buyer pay an extra $20 an oz? I would. Would the seller pay an additional $20 to ship? I don't know. What if it was $40? Or more? I would like more assurance somehow that stealth was always going to be great because to me it is by far my biggest exposure. It's scary getting a qp in zip lock, one foodsaver bag, and taped up box - from a big vendor!
My second point has to do with tech risks for buyers. The risk for the buyer here seems to come in three flavors but I think they are all low. 1 - you do something that tips off your active order and somehow le becomes involved to intercept the package (this seems almost impossible really - le isn't breaking your door down in 3 days because you don't pgp your address tonight right?) 2 - your activity is detected and an investigation is launched - maybe coinbase or your bank turns over records, etc (this seems higher risk to me than 1 but still low) and 3 - at some point in the future - perhaps long after your activity has stopped - the history of your activity is exposed and becomes a problem for you after the fact (not sure how to assess this one).
Really long I know but I'd be interested in comments. Thanks.
I'm fucked up. Whatever you wrote, I hope you contributed to the wellness of DNM activity. Thanks man
