This post shows you some easy tips on how you can help reduce our workload so we have more time to answer your questions and can take care of more community needs and suggestions.
We also have some cool new things coming in the near future [and no, not a may fools joke :)]. So in the following a few tips for you:
Use phrases in your post title that automatically flair your posts.
That saves us some clicks and we just have to approve your posts when working though the mod queue. I also usually give an upvote for such posts, since OP was kind enough to save me a few clicks.
Here what phrases in the title flair posts automatically:
Vendor review: Vendor Review, Review
Vendor Inquiry: Vendor Inquiry, Has anybody experience, Anybody tried, Anybody have experience, Experiences with
Market Inquiry: Market Inquiry
Market news: Marketplace Announcement, market anouncement, market opening, new market, new marketplace, market news, market update
Suggestion: Suggestion
Scam warning: Scam Warning, Scam Complaint, Scam
F.U.D.: F.U.D.
Reporting
Once in a while clear rule-violating posts pop up, like blatant sourcing or just plain spam. Often we see many comments that [rightfully] tell OP to fuck off and/or read the rules. However in most cases there are only half as many reports as there are comments pointing out the violation.
So please use the report button too if you see rule-violating posts. When a post got a certain number of reports, it will get removed automatically. That way others do not have to deal with this shit and the overall climate of the communiy gets a bit better.
Messaging us
If you message us mods, please include the links of the posts that you are messaging us about. For example if your post got filtered by automod and you message us about it, include the link to that post.
Posting an article?
Please also include the text of it in the body of your post, preferably marked as a quote [using the character '>' in front of each paragraph that shall be marked as a quote]. Others might have trouble reading the article on the original website [because it requires javascript, is behind a paywall, . . .] or simply are too lazy to click on the link or do not want to give the website clicks.
Thanks for reading.
