I can tell you about the LSD in the 60's since I was one of the originals in the hippy scene. I was an 18 year old musician when I did my first hit of Owsley acid, March 1967. Man, the acid in the late 60's was some heavy duty shit. Acid was mostly dosed at about 250 to 300ug. If you didn't see God then the acid was not good. It was like a religous drug to many at first. Purple Owsley was the first LSD I tried (in San Francisco). Blue Cheer acid was a favorite of mine along with Orange Sunshine (400ug), Purple Doubledome, Windowpane and many others that I can't remember. I always had a good trip and was a veteran acid user/dealer but one Saturday night I did 4 hits of Purple Doubledome (1000-1200ug total) and was stoned for about 2 days, unfortunately it scared me really bad and I thought I would never come down. I ended up in a hospital cuz the police picked me up after I freaked out in a Chinese restaurant, they thought I was a crazy person as the cops did not know much about LSD in those days. The Doc shot me up with tranqs which brought me back to earth. I had bad flashbacks for about a year after that last trip and never did acid again. I did do considerable amounts of MDA over the next decade or two and I still do MDMA every couple of months. Pot has always been my main drug of choice though. I am still a heavy pot user (for over 50 yrs) but haven't done LSD since that last bad acid trip. I read your LSD stories with great interest and it brings back a lot of memories, both good and bad. The sixties was a mind bending time and I am so glad I was there to experience it. Does anyone remember the Brotherhood of Eternal Love? They put out massive amounts of acid and some members were good friends of mine.

I've been posting these two documentaries a lot lately, cuz, yknow, bicycle day.. ANYWAY.. if you're interested in one particular type of 60's LSD, the one more or less responsible for the wave of psychedelia in the 60's, look no further than Orange Sunshine...

Orange Sunshine

and

[The Sunshine Makers](www.imdb.com/title/tt4456270/)

Two documentaries about the 'hippy mafia', Tim Scully and Nick Sand, the chemists behind the explosion of LSD in the 60's.

Also, you'll have to either pirate it or pay up, but much like the documentaries mentioned above, you can find torrents or streams of them if you know where to look--- anyway, this episode of Hamilton's Pharmacopeia goes into the Lazy Lizard School Of Hedonism, the story of a chemist who worked inside an abandoned mine or something... here's the official link but I think you need to have a TV subscription or whatever... I just torrented it. Enjoy your psychedelic history lesson!

The Sandoz-produced 'Delysid' tablets contained 25 micrograms of LSD per tablet. See here for an image: http://www.herbmuseum.ca/files/images/DSC05693.jpg

The Sandoz-produced 'Delysid' solution contained 100 micrograms per milliliter. See here for an image: http://belhistory.weebly.com/uploads/1/9/0/7/19079917/4439612_orig.jpg

Other formats/formulations were produced, but these were the most common versions.

Why dose ten tabs? Seems like overkill.
