AlphaBay is proud to announce new features every day but can't take 5 minutes to fix the fucking login captcha...

Okay, this has been a minor inconvenience until now but it's starting to piss me off. Aside from the captcha being partly invisible half the time; Why the fuck do I have to fill the captcha, enter my username and password and have to fill the captcha again? This might seem trivial but that's exactly the problem. How fucking hard would it be to fix this? People have been complaining about it for months.

Sorry I seem super pissed. This has gotten on my last nerve.

You're filling out one for you and one for the botnet.

That captcha on the login screen is the worst of the captachas out their. Sigaint uses the same crappy captcha as well.

I'm tired of having to keep retyping all name and password each time it fails.

More than half the time you can't read all the characters because the squiggly lines are covering something important.

And is that a number one, lowercase L or a capital I. You often can't tell the difference between a number 5 and the letter s, a "6" and "b", and on and on...

Other captchas out there make sense and work security wise, but this one is terrible.

[10 Points] octomarvel:

I bet the minute they fix that, it exposes some glitch that allows them to be ddos'd again.

Sounds like bandaids over a weeping gash.

=\

As someone who used to program for a living it was way more fun creating new features vs. fixing old ones.

When I see a captcha I know I instantly can't do, press F5. Simple, quick, efficient.

[2 Points] throwthefuckaway33:

I won't use them until the figure out how to actually run a market. Reusing deposit addresses is bush league.

Like I want to be tied to a bitcoin addresses than ends up buying poison or weapons for terrorists.

FUCK. THAT. SHIT.

[2 Points] throwthefuckaway33:

Even though it sucks, I don't think the captcha is that big of a deal. They have much bigger problems (reusing deposit addresses primarily).

If you can't read the captcha just reload the page. Takes one second.

[1 Points] None:

I believe they are just copying and pasting random code from different sources, and dont know how to actually code anything themselves.

If they actually knew how to code anything, the login captcha would not be the way it is, at all, ever.

First of all, sometimes i have to enter the DDOS captcha correctly 5+ times to get through. WTF?

Second, sometimes I get the login screen, login, get the DDOS captcha, then have to login again. problems here: 1) This is causing extra traffic to the site, slowing it down, just like a ddos. 2) Why would I have to login again anyway? 3) why the fuck is there still a captcha on the login page anyway, when i had to enter a captcha to get there?

also, i have on multiple occasion had weird characters that were not in their fonts show up on the captcha, therefore it shows that weird symbol that you get when you try to display a character not available in your fonts. Basically, its trying to use russian, and the software generating those images only has english fonts. WTF?

Final problem. There is no way in hell that this crappy ass system stops ddoses. In fact, I suspect it increases traffic to their server. I think that they are ddosing other markets. They pretended to be ddosed a few months ago, and then made this stupid crap, and made themselves stop being ddosed to keep us from thinking they were actually behind the ddoses.

[1 Points] iwouldneverdodrugs:

Seriously! I've tried to register on that market on 3 separate occasions now, and have been turned away by the retarded captcha on all of those occasions.

[1 Points] Ande2101:

Anyone know what CAPTCHA it is? It's probably open source, if you're really upset by it post a bounty to get it fixed.

[1 Points] brooklynzooo:

You need to contact head Captcha expert, Christopher W. Tarbell, to get it fixed.

[1 Points] questofmanyflavours:

I just wish they would take out the L and the i letters, cant tell the differnece between a small l and a capital I and its a time waster. easily done in the code

[1 Points] pecrophilyak:

lil bit off topic but at least captcha related: anyone else experiencin problems with EICs and DREAMs captcha? on DREAM the image is broken all the time and EIC produces nothing but captcha errors despite entering the shit correctly.. only crapmarkets atm, I really miss agora :<

[1 Points] SenorGaGa:

I asked AB mods about this, how the multiple captchas are redundant and make it impossible for me to log in. They just made fun of me and acted like a bunch of fags. Alpha Bay sucks anyways.

[-1 Points] lordredvampire:

I never had issues with captachas.

[-3 Points] blurp112:

are you kidding me? it always works, and i never get stuck anymore, now im use to it. the reason it is hard to read is so ddos attack botnet's cannot decipher it, only human eyes... They have a different captcha if u miss it once, then u get thrown to ddos protection captcha.

then the forums have a completely different setup. this is all so you can use the site dude, why u giving them shit? they are the only ones who have avoided the ddos almost completely.

would u rather the site lag and be slow as fuck or take and extra minute or two to login. c'mon

[-1 Points] aboutthednm:

Ask google if they would like to provide their recaptcha. That would go over pretty swell.

[-1 Points] ShakinBottleSyndrome:

Lol noobs!!! Its designed to not work on mobile devices.

[-1 Points] dnm_is_Beast:

Its not that bad u fuker
