Request: Add Bitcoinfog to wall of shame (selective scamming)

I, like many of you, have used bitcoinfog with no issues in the past. There have been many reports of what seems to be a selective scam, resulting in many lost bitcoins for myself and many others. The argument that this might just be a bug is invalid because it still results in lost bitcoins. There have been many reports of non-existent support from the site itself. r/darknetmarkets should not endorse this service, for the good of its users.

I request that Bitcoinfog be blacklisted / added to the wall of shame.

The Wall of Shame is meant as a place for markets and other services that have shamed us all in an obvious way -- eg. Evolution exit scamming. There is no concrete, verifiable proof AFAIK that BTC Fog is selective scamming, but their wiki entry has a warning that potential problems with them.

We don't endorse anything in the superlist.

Sorry to hear about your loss. Thanks for the warning. I have use it every month for three years without an issue. How much did you lose? Perhaps they selectively scam large amounts. I never really put more than 1 BTC through at a time. Maybe if we split up larger amounts across multiple Fog accounts

BTC fog scammed me too, fuck them!

[2 Points] willycloaks:

lol they'll never add BTC-Fog to the wall of shame because they are associated with Agora or ran by the same people. This whole forum & staff is one huge shill for that marketplace. They'll never say anything bad or good about BTC-Fog but they wont do the right thing and add it to the wall of shame.

I honestly doubt its all shills slamming btc fog because if that is the case wouldn't the same damn thing be happening with Grams/Helix? (which it hasn't)

Same problem. Xfered 1.5 BTC into BTC Fog, confirmed in blockchain but not in wallet. I've used this before without a problem. Tried pinging support twice. Got silent treatment. All you've got is brand and reputation in DNM. No confidence in bitcoinfog.

[2 Points] hooawayy:

My 0.75BTC which I deposited two days ago is shown up as fully sent and confirmed on Blockchain but hasn't turned up. Support haven't responded and I'm worried as this is my biggest single deposit in a year and a half, for which I've used Fog for pretty much all of. Praying it's just a delay but I'm losing hope.

EDIT: Also, BlockExplorer doesn't show it as having entered my account, despite Blockchain saying it has. I find BlockExplorer confusing as fuck so I can't work out exactly what's going on, though.

EDIT 2: This shows the difference between what BE (which concurs with Fog) and BC (which says the money has arrived). http://i.cubeupload.com/VIdfIf.png

I dont understand tumbling. why do people think someone is watching their BTC. The cost of resources it would take to trace BTC transactions is to great to waste on a under 10k purchase. They are looking for market admins and vendors not someone like me or you (assumption).

SHAME!

[-2 Points] Vendor_BBMC:

They seem to selectively avoid scamming a single vendor who might use it to launder relatively large amounts, and who use bitcoin every day.

They seem to scam people who don't understand the concept of money laundering, who aren't sending to it from their own proper wallet, and aren't outputting to a proper wallet.

It always seems to be people sending a small amount of already clean bitcoin direct from an exchange or web wallet, and probably trying to output the many, many tiny fragments of bitcoin to a darknet marketplace web wallet. Some marketplaces create a new wallet address each time they receive bitcoin.

I've got a better idea. Lets NOT put our most professional and trusted bitcoin laundering tool on the wall of shame. Not on the insistance of people who don't earn all their wages in bitcoin, and who would be better-off using Grams Helix.
