I am thinking about getting one of those cheap ass android "laptops" specifically for DNM use. Is Tor or Tails avaible to a device like that?
Tails or Tor for Android "laptops"?

Depends on the architecture of the cpu and device chipsets and if theres a tails distro that supports it. Without posting a link to the model of laptop, is like fuckin 49 US DOLLARS?

well... there's orbot/orweb for android available in the google play store. not sure if your machine would support it, though, or just how secure it would actually be.

I have a chromebook and a different android netbook type thing. I am also reasonably good with computers, asked /u/galaxyandspace and the other mods for help, a few users who know a lot about android, and researched and tested the shit out of about twenty things.
Nothing worked that well. However it is possible to get it to work. It's just really hard to force a different OS to run on them.
I would go to a pawnshop and buy some five year old super cheap laptop and use that instead of a netbook or similar. You can pick one up for 50 bucks easily.
Truthfully there are tons of people who run tor from their home PC on their own wifi without Tails, transferring coins directly to market from their coinbase account and come out just fine. It's really a matter of choosing your own risk. You can run orobot on a phone (my chromebook refuses it but the regular netbook does) and be okay without tails, if you plan to destroy whatever you use if needed. Tails just makes it so you don't have to destroy hardware.
Use the search man. If it's Android, it probably is ARM architecture, and I don't believe there is any form of Tails that runs on ARM. Even if there was it would probably be super buggy and I would not trust it. There's Orbot for Android, but that won't fix the issue of making sure there's no traces left on your HD, plus it has been confirmed to leak IP addresses. The Tor on Android question gets asked a lot around here. You don't really need another machine for Tails, since it has the amnesia feature. I have another laptop I use for it, but that's just beacause having to hibernate my regular machine everytime I wanted to do something on Tails then shut down Tails every time I needed to do something on my normal system would annoy me too much. Aside from the convenience factor though, there's no reason for another machine (unless you have a Mac, I think I read something about those having secuirity flaws even with Tails, but I could have misinterpreted that). The whole point of Tails is that you won't have to throw your entire machine/HD in the fire if it comes to a controlled delivery or something. You should also have your PGP key backed up on a flash drive that can be destoryed if it comes down to it. Edit: backed up is the wrong term. You should only have your PGP key on the flashdrive, and maybe if you're really attatched to said key another offsite flashdrive with an encrypted backup or something.
