[CommunityDiscussion]Is anyone else taking this Evo fail as a hint to back off DNM's for a while?

I only lost $4 in bitchange in this scam, but I have lost THOUSANDS in real life transactions...so I can fully understand the frustration and helplessness many people are feeling today. I see people like BV and /u/NSWGreat trying to cobble together an end run style play to attempt to help people out, but you really need to think in the constructs of the real world. In the real world...people who steal THOUSANDS/TENS OF THOUSANDS/ETC get 'dealt' with. They get dealt with because you know WHO the fuck they are....we surrender that transaction collateral in basic OPSEC during DNM transactions. We go to great lengths to obscure who we are, and in the process we put a thousand degrees of separation between us, our money, and our drops....so unless you have real world knowledge (i.e.- a MASSIVE OPSEC failure) of the vendor....you are at the mercy of their own questionable integrity. I certainly hope no one else kills themselves as a result of this massive cyber-shakedown.....and I also hope that none of you get any ideas to bilk the community out of any more BTC in this time of great distrust and uncertainty. I, for one, am moving out of the DNM markets entirely until multisig is implemented in a user friendly fashion on a market with a decent reputation. I was about 10 days away from funding a vendor bond on EVO for my cannabis products.....so this is a blessing in disguise for me. I can't afford to let people run off with any more of my money. I will be monitoring this sub for new markets and new features in existing markets. I hope all of you have a better day and I wish you all luck in rebuilding your business after this catastrophe. PEACE

No, in fact I'm now ordering more out of spite.

Not really. Even if it was a LE seizure prob wouldn't Impact my decision. I didn't lose anything really and just a personal buyer. I'm sure many who lost a shitload are asking this very question though. Not bc of the dnm itself but the monetary hit. When u lose your shirt you start to question things I guess.

Order of agora for a couple months, then stop. Who knows what there gonna do when there userbase is massive. Lay off darknet a bit unless theres a lot of markets.

Maybe make a colossal order of weed for summer.

Nothing has changed.. Using DNMs has always been a risk and will continue to be a risk for a long time yet.
