When ordering from the markets, I don't like to use my real name but someone told me that usps will flag the package and keep it in their office if the name doesn't correspond to the home owner. Is that true?
Real name on package
When ordering from the markets, I don't like to use my real name but someone told me that usps will flag the package and keep it in their office if the name doesn't correspond to the home owner. Is that true?

Yup, and you risk both yourself and the vendor.

Very very true. Was recently staying with someone after a move and had mail sent to their house, and the mail man came to the door and asked if the mail that was addressed to my wife actually lived here. Said yes just staying with a friend for a bit. Then he put a tag on the inside of the mailbox with everyone's last name who lived there. Mail men know their routes and who lives where, no lie.

if you've been living at an address for a bit, and the route has a usual carrier... they more than likely know who lives where.

No idea if they flag the package, but you should use your real name. If for some reason they can't deliver the package and you have to pick it up at the post office you won't be able to without some sort of ID with the same name on the package.

Many carriers will just throw the pack in the RTS pile when they are sorting their routes and don't recognize a name.
You definitely won't get a refund or a reship for a RTS pack. No excuses for that at all.
