Is there a downside to the market's auto pgp?

I'm teaching someone who is not very computer savvy to use the dnms. I've always used gpgp but would it be safe for her to just use the market's built in pgp to encrypt her shipping info? If the market were to be seized would the pigs be able to see her message?

Yes.

If the market is compromised by LE or the market operators are collecting information for blackmail purposes, they will just make a copy of the message before encrypting it to the vendor.

Do not use any market's auto PGP. Always PGP encrypt your address with your own PGP client.

If it ever turned out the market was run or taken over by the feds, the auto pgp would be a great way for them to record all your info..That reason alone is why I'd never trust it... it's the perfect trap setup really if they ever got the chance

by doing so you're [potentially] allowing a third party access to sensitive information, the very same information that was initially encrypted to prevent a third party from accessing it

besides PGP encryption is pretty straightforward, can't imagine it would take more than 10 minutes to teach someone how to use it
