 No.8680100

You are now part of a cult. Your cult has been formed because you and your followers were one of the few, yet far too many, that have discovered a portal that has suddenly opened in your world.

This portal leads to the forbidden dimension of Ani'moe, where a restless god of lust and greed constantly summons new waifus to add to his collection. Because there are countless of them, he does not care if you abduct one or two… or dozens, or hundreds.

Back in your world you realize that these waifus make for great cleaning personell, but they can only stay materialized so long as they are not forgotten. On the other hand, however, the more of an emotional impact the creature has the more powerful it becomes.

At first, this meant that only the most beautiful creatures were considered useful, but then they were discovered: The rare "Abominations". "Failed" summonings of great horror. True horror being the most powerful emotion there is, your cult quickly started specializing on exclusively collecting those abominations to strengthen your ranks. But so do your rivals. They all hope to achieve the same goal: To summon a creature so horrifying that every rival cannot help but acknowledge their superiority. Only those abominations can obtain true immortality and the cult that found it would likely win the war.

Enter the portal, go to the fields of summoning and start collecting.

It will all start to make sense soon.

Each cult formed not because of friendship, common ideology or anything like that. Instead they are different schools of thought when it comes to which kind of abomination they should focus on. Which breeds would be the most likely to produce the "perfect horror"?

Don't be like the "Order of the right Eye", though. There are few objective truths about horror, but here is one: The more common and known something is, the less scary it becomes. They collected many abominations which had eyes where they didn't belong and almost all of them had them at the same place. Eventually it just lost its charm, though there certainly might still be some hidden gems even within their ranks. Still, it might be better to focus on different summonings.

The "Children of the white seed" often found their summonings covered in a strange, foul smelling liquid when they were born from their circles. To no surprise they quickly interpreted this as a sign. Now they worship this "white seed" and believe that it will lead them to the pleasure they seek.

On a side note, 9 out of 10 cultists agree that you should not name those things. This is just basic occult knowledge: Don't name a demon or it might devour you in your dreams.

The "roamers of the uncanny valley" believe that "less is more". Many cultists don't take them serious or believe their efforts are half assed. But there is just something about something just looking "a little bit off" that brings its own brand of chill down your spine. But the borders between their summonings and worthless, regular waifus is sometimes thin. The cults still debate if these rituals should even be considered "respectable achievements".

By the way, this should be obvious but if sometimes the portal spits out the same creature twice the cult that claimed it first owns it. Don't just randomly claim everything you see though - remember that sometimes, less is more. "Spam" will get you ignored by most even in the realm of mysteries.

You can try.

To form a new cult, summon at least three creatures that share a certain similarity to use as the founding principles for your school of thought.

Crosses, for example, can't be that hard to find… right?

We take as many special summons as we can handle. While fear trumps the need to nurture, it's much more stable. Our numbers grow and with it our power.

Most expert summoners, of course, use several summoning circles at once. They call this "tabbing", as they tap into the realm from several games at once. They do this because efficiency is important.

Keep in mind that Ani'moe slowly but surely improves his skills and creates fewer and fewer "flawed" waifus for his endless harem every week. Eventually they might even go extinct - unless, perhaps, some people meddle with it? Who knows.
